Drums beat, sticks clack, and bells jingle as dancers perform energetically around a roaring fire, it’s bright embers flickering in a dance of their own. And as the drum beats increase in volume and tempo, so too do the movements of the dancers themselves. Wearing their best festival garbs, ordained with accessories that jingle with every movement, and with colourings that compliment the sun. Tonight is Lutz’s Midsummer Celebration.

The opening ceremony is always a sight to behold, and being held by the Branches, it’s open to locals and foreigners alike. Everyone is welcome to celebrate the changing of seasons, and festival wear can even be bought or lent if desired. A wide variety of local cuisines is also on offer here, as well handmade trinkets, not to mention the opportunity to really get stuck-in and join the dances.

Among the dancers performing in the incredible opening ceremony is Lukita. Now in her late teens, and having studied dance many years, she’s luckily enough to be one of the chosen for this honor. She’s danced at many festivals here in Lutz, but this is her first time as part of the opening crew. This is the moment she’s dreamed of since the first Midsummer Celebration she was older enough to remember.

But for Lukita, tonight isn’t just about the honor of the opening ceremony, nor even summer’s arrival. No, as if either of those alone isn’t enough, she’s dancing in competition with her childhood friend Lokinovu. He too has been dancing and performing for a long time. In fact, this is his third year being part of the opening crew. But with their bond having always had a friendly rivalry to it, tonight they’re fighting their own dance battle.

The rules are simple, they must conduct themselves as usual, eating, drinking, joining in the usual games, and such. But whenever one of them joins a dance, the other has to join too. And though they may have shrugged “party as normal then” at the time of accepting the challenge, it’s inevitable that their competitive natures will have them joining dances during times they wouldn’t normally just to try and tire the other one out. Or to try and catch the other out by joining a dance right as their competitor is trying to grab a bite to eat.

Even now, during this opening performance, a quick glance between them gives sparks all it’s own. Whoever wins, tonight promises to be a night to remember!

My take on the Jude slander after RMA vs ManCity

8th April 2024

I have seen so many people straight up hating Jude for yesterday’s game, and I just can’t stay silent anymore, so enjoy my little rant.

Playing football, especially on the level of Real Madrid is (apart from skill and mindset) also a lot about building and keeping rhythm. This applies to any team but also to each and every player - Toni Kroos has mentioned this a couple of times already but I’m sure you can find a lot more players talking about this.

So let’s take a look at Judes appearances in 2024:

started the year strong with 5 games (Copa del Rey (1), Supercopa (2) and LaLiga (2))

missed the away game vs UD Las Palmas (27th January) due to a yellow suspension

played three games in LaLiga again

missed three more games due to his ankle injury (LaLiga (2), UCL (1))

played the away game vs Valencia and got THAT red card

missed two more LaLiga games due to the suspension

his first (and last) game before the one vs City was the game against Bilbao last week

-> all in all he played 12 (5 of which were in January) out of 19 games total (not counting international games)

Compared to that the games he missed this season in 2023:

the home game benched against UD Las Palmas (27th Sept)

one game benched vs Braga in the UCL (8th Nov)

one game due to shoulder injury against Valencia (11th Nov)

-> in 2023 he played 21 out of 24 games total (not counting international games)

Yes I expected a better performance from him (and Vini!).

Yes we are Real Madrid and no player stands above the club (if you don’t show up we will hold you accountable for your mistakes).

Yes a player like Jude should be able to compensate a missing rhythm with his talent and skill but he is still very young. Older players like Lukita can rely on 10+ years of playing in the white shirt on the highest level possible, he only needs seconds even when he spends more time on the bench than the pitch. Jude is still learning and has shouldered an unusually huge responsibility in his first season.

Normally our young transfers are give time to adjust at Real, they were/are not guaranteed starters, for example:

Camavinga was mostly used as a sub in 21/22

Rodrygo wasn’t even a regular part of the first squad in 19/20, and was still used as a super sub in 21/22

Vini rarely was part of the starting XI in 19/20

Tchouameni had his fair share of being subbed on/off last season (although less than one would expect)

Brahim was sent away on loan

Arda sadly rarly gets playtime as well etc etc

Jude however has started almost every game, he scored more goals than our two wingers and is carrying Zidanes legendary “5” on the back (while Vini only got Ronaldos Hazards “7” this season, even though Hazard never really played in these last years and Real could’ve reasonably taken the number away from him)

So to all those that are hating on him, that are saying he’s loosing form, he’s overhyped and overrated and I have even heard he apparently “partyed too much”. To the ones that were only praying for his downfall waiting for a bad game - please kindly shut up!

Criticism is good and healthy, but there is no need to slander him like this. It was ONE very bad game and unfortunately it was against ManCity, as long as he shows up next week everythings gonna be fine. Regardless of this he has saved our asses way more than he’s let them down this season. Give him a some time and he’ll come back and be the Judey starboy we all know and love.

TOP 10 TV SHOWS I WATCHED IN 2023

1. GREASE: RISE OF THE PINK LADIES

this prequel to grease tells the story of how the “pink ladies” gang was created. it follows new original characters, although the younger versions of some movie characters are also shown/mentioned. it is a beautiful musical about feminism, love, friendship, racial relationships and queerness in the 50s. the songs stuck in my head & my heart. and it quickly became one of my favorite shows ever. incredibly devastating that it only got one season, because it was very unique and important.

2. FREERIDGE

on my block’s spin-off. it’s just as unhinged, dripped in magic and ridiculousness. less violent than its predecessor, it follows a group of four friends who come into possession of a “cursed” box, and as they try to get rid of it, shenanigans ensue. you’ll see a few familiar faces from omb and fall in love with the new ones. experience this block’s craziness again or for the first time. be gnomes ahead.

3. EVERYTHING NOW

tells the story of mia as she returns from rehab for ed, and tries to catch up on her teenage experiences. secret hookups, betrayals, love triangles, lying and pretty people. similar in tone to heartbreak high & genera+ion.

4. VAMPIRE ACADEMY

it’s about a royal vampire and her half-vampire protector, as they navigate their duties after a tragic event changes their lives.

rose and demitri’s love story certainly carries the show. the cast is great and it’s a fun watch. definitely a step up from the movie.

5. SHRINKING

jason segel plays a therapist who starts telling his patients what he really thinks, while trying to maintain a relationship with his daughter (lukita maxwell) and estranged friends.

it just felt very fun and warm to watch.

6. CITY ON FIRE

a girl is shot in the central park. and it intertwines lives of a boy who’s in love with her, a rock band and a rich powerful family. in trying to figure out what happened to sam, charlie realizes the girl of his dreams had more secrets than he suspected.

the cast is perfect and billy is the best character, that’s all i have to say. this show’s exciting, dramatic, in parts reminded me of gossip girl, succession, 13rw and grand army.

7. HIGH SCHOOL

twin sisters in the 90s grow closer as they learn how to write music. they experience first love, make new friends and deal with family issues.

the true story of how tegan&sara became the musical duo that they are.

8. HARLAN COBEN’S SHELTER

after a traumatic accident mickey moves to his dad’s childhood home, where he uncovers mysteries connected to his parents’ work.

reminded me of teen wolf, because the storyline is dark but the friendship and humor of the main characters shine through.

9. YEAR OF

a group of classmates try to overcome the loss of their friend. heartbreak high made me interested in aussie shows. and this had similar energy.

10. QUEEN CHARLOTTE

a fictional story of a young queen’s marriage to the king of england. bridgerton’s spin off which imo was better made than the original show.

Y/N's eyes widened in pure surprise, it was one thing to find out your two best friends were dating which mind you, she was perfectly fine with yet to be propositioned with the offer of joining their relationship surely caught her off guard, " So you mean you want me to be your girlfriend? "

" Exactly " Luka smiles, " Sweetheart, you're a valuable part of our lives so it only makes sense to make things official "

" Wow " She murmurs, " I ... I don't know what to say, I mean " she chuckles. " I like you two, very much but ... are you sure about this? "

" One hundred per cent " Sergio smiles.

" If you're alarmed and wish to refuse, we completely understand " Luka said.

" No, no " She shakes her head, " I'm not alarmed, just surprised but ... I'm not against it, I'm just terrified that my inexperience might affect the bond that you guys have "

Y/N inhales a deep breath, her mind racking in the pros and cons of becoming the third party in her best friend's relationship, yet when she looked at them and noted the pure and authentic love in their eyes which prompted her to smile and giggle, " Where do I sign? "

Both men chuckle before approaching her from each side to embrace her, " No contract needed, you're our girl now " Luka said.

Instead of talking, Sergio uses his hand to tilt her face and place a kiss on her lips which she happily reciprocated, no more than a few seconds later, Luka tilts her to him to press a kiss. " We love you sweetheart " he said.

Y/N smiles, " I love you guys as well "

Suffice to say that it had been quite an adjustment, Y/N adored both men and in return they had definitely included her in their day to day life making her an integral part of just about everything while making it seem to the world as if they were a merry trio of friends - a lot of people took notice of how close Y/N is to the pair yet didn't think much of it, chucking it down to adults simply being friends without the obvious romantic undertone underneath.

On one night, the trio were at her house to spend the night after their impressive win over Barcelona in the ElClasico - and it was while they were watching a movie that Y/N's phone started to vibrate violently which confused her for a moment before she grabbed the device to check and that's when her eyes widened, " Oh shit "

favorite thing about them: uh literally everything? if i was raising or helping to raise a boy, i would use luka as a positive role model for non-toxic masculinity. i just adore him in every way. he's not perfect, but he seems like such a good person who operates with intelligence and humility--at the same time he's tough and no pushover! i love his floofy hair and elf face combined with his Manly Voice and best abs in football (and 3rd nipple vibes hahaha...he has a birthmark on his Tits.). plus, his wife Vanja is the queen of wags and in the family photos they seem to be raising their kids to be normal kids--they're not always posed in instagram ready outfits and express their own senses of style instead of wearing cutesy matching outfits (looking at you rakitic family your kids are TOO OLD for that). his football is so sexy and exciting to watch. i will watch his rm highlights and it's just so!!! imagine a lukita & lamps midfield linkup!

I was reading through all the moomin books and other material that had gotten directly adapted for the 90s Moomin series (Muumilaakson tarinoita), and when I read the short story The Invisible Child from the book Tales from Moominvalley/The Invisible Child and other stories, where a little girl has turned invisible because of the emotional abuse inflicted on her by her aunt and has to learn to believe in herself again and to stand up to herself, I thought. Hmm. What if there was someone who would be pushed to the side by others, and also pushes themselves to the side because they believe that they are, themselves, wrong and undeserving, and believe that it would be for the best for them to disappear, and then they do, and people around them have to learn about forgiveness not for the other person, but for themselves, and the person has to learn to also accept the forgiveness and forgive themselves in order to turn visible again?

So yeah, this is post-Umbara Dogma stays with the 501st and they have. a lot of issues. I don't have a lot written yet, but here's a very short snippet!

Dogma stared at himself in the mirror. Or he would have, if there was something in the mirror to see. He lunged towards it, pressed himself right against it, but still, there was nothing. The mirror stayed empty. With his heart in his throat, Dogma looked down at himself. His legs started to shake again, but this time from relief and not from fear, because at least he was still there. Or was he? A sudden, horrible thought cut his relief short. He had been relieved earlier, too, about how no one had glared at him or said anything when he had been forced to pass them by, because at least that had been better than glared and words, but now- -now Dogma was wondering if anyone had even seen him there at all.

 established   in   2016   ,   decrypted   started   as   a   youtube   channel   with   film   students   that   had   a   knack   for   editing   ,   the   paranormal   and   adventure   all   in   the   same   .   within   the   fall   of   2017   ,   an   unedited   ,   raw   cut   near   2.5   hour   video   was   uploaded   to   their   channel   ⸻   where   at   this   point   ,   had   garnered   near   1   million   subscribers   ⸻   of   a   paranormal   happening   ,   which   included   the   death   of   all   members   ,   except   the   original   camera   operator   who   somehow   managed   to   escape   unscathed   .   some   would   call   it   fake   ,   a   challenge   of   editing   &   talent   that   they'd   become   known   for   ,   but   after   a   three   year   hiatus   ,   it's   safe   to   say   that   it   wasn't   fake   .  now   ,   the   group   is   back   producing   videos   with   a   whole   new   crew   ,   minus   stevie   ,   who   still   operates   the   camera   for   their   quick   wit   and   remarks   that   the   'fans'   love   ,   but   they   don't   .   rebranded   as   decrypted   2.0   as   if   to   catch   no   correlation   or   confusion   to   original   group   ,   but   instead   to   pay   hommage   .   either   way   ,   the   entire   group   spend   their   days   &   nights   in   new   locations   ,   documentation   and   producing   new   content   for   a   loyal   cult   following   of   fans   .

 stevie   campetto   .   twenty5   ,   bisexual   ,   they/them   .   sophie   thatcher   .   the   only   remaining   member   of   the   original   crew   ,   doesn't   speak   of   anything   that   happened   to   them   but   tries   to   keep   it   up   for   the   camera   in   comparison   to   off   .   hates   their   own   job   ,   but   feels   as   if   they're   the   backbone   to   keeping   things   alive   ⸻   no   pun   intended   .   was   originally   weary   about   joining   ,   but   ever   present   in   the   act   of   persuasion   .

 jia   chen   .   twenty2   ,   lesbian   ,   she/her   .   lukita   maxwell   .   sound   operator   and   the   baby   of   the   group   ,   her   older   brother   was   apart   of   the   original   group   and   she   wants   to   keep   his   legacy   /   memory   alive   .   recruited   by   stevie   as   a   sort   of   last   minute   decision   and   somewhat   of   a   plea   ,   as   she   was   the   only   one   available   at   the   time   .   become   a   staple   ,   but   majority   of   adventures   keep   her   up   at   night   ,   no   matter   how   much   she   wants   to   say   otherwise   .

 castor   .   twenty7   ,   gay   ,   he/they   .   harris   dickinson   .   close   to   no   information   is   known   about   him   ,   in   fact   not   even   their   first   name   ⸻   of   course   ,   unless   to   the   rest   of   the   group   .   goes   by   his   last   ,   honestly   doesn't   want   to   be   perceived   so   that's   why   he   works   as   a   silent   secondary   camera   .   a   door   mouse   ,   but   a   bit   of   an   enigma   .

 bryn   low   .   thirty   ,   bisexual   ,   she/her   .   jessica   henwick   .   researcher   ,   has   a   talent   for   finding   the   absolute   gritty   .   driven   through   money   and   success   ,   a   hard   knock   disbelief   system   behind   her   that   makes   it   almost   impossible   for   her   to   get   scared   .   unfortunately   a   bit   of   an   asshole   .

 emmett   tyrell   .   twenty6   ,   bisexual   ,   he/him   .   brian   altemus   .  cocky   little   shit   ,   camera   hogger   and   all   round   attention   seeker   .   one   of   two   self   proclaimed   hosts   ,   even   if   he   wishes   it   was   a   solo   show   .   fans   ,   subscribers   and   followers   love   him   for   the   charm   and   humour   that   runs   naturally   ,   has   a   great   talent   for   bullshitting   which   works   well   for   his   job   (   or   not   )   .

soren   ambrose   .   twenty5   ,   bisexual   ,   she/they   .   hunter   schafer   .   was   the   one   who   got   the   group   back   together   ,   even   if   she   doesn't   want   to   take   the   credit   for   it   .   extremely   passionate   and   dedicated   host   alongside   emmett   ,   face   on   camera   more   than   others   and   it   tells   .   wants   the   camera   to   keep   rolling   no   matter   what   happens   ,   even   if   it   affects   her   the   most   .

The thing

Okay, this is my thought which some of you might have already been thinking.

You know how we have bromances in football, like Mount and Rice or JLingz and Rashford you can see how deep their friendship goes but not that far.

But, when you look at Lewy and Marco for example, you can see there was something deeper between them. I felt like Lewy leaving took big toll on Marco so he ignored Lewy for a bit and then Lewy did something to make it up to Marco, they are friends now but there is that void, dya get me?Their close friendship and then the sad tone around everything they did after Lewy left is because of what I call "The thing".

Or with Lovren and Salah, I remember seeing a video where Mo was sleeping on the floor of a plane and Ox was making fun of him and then shifted the camera to Dejan which then he said that he was lost without him or something. Salah and Lovren werent close then boom ( no Klopp references intended) something happened and they were and still are bezzies. Such closeness , which I can see in others but not so much, is the so called "thing"

And in a more evident "thing" bromance is The Modramos Bromance. Capi showed so much affection towards lukita, more then other RM players. They went on holiday together and all Modramos fans clung onto every hug and kiss they shared. I feel like Sergio would not have done this to anyone else but his lukita.

There is also upcoming "Things" like Bellingham and Haaland. They havent shown much yet but their small moments and celebrations were precious and when Haaland said he talked to Jude about his transfer and when bellingham said that he got supportive messages from Erling, something was brewing and i feel that after Judes transfer, somthing magical will happen :))

My point is, I feel that "The Thing" is a connection that can't be severed. And you can see it with football players and maybe people you know. But, you have to keep "The Thing" strong to make it unique and special. I feel like the bond was weakend with Lewy and Marco but its evident in the ones which didn't have many parts sour like Modramos or Neymessi.
