I wish we had a little bit more appreciation for Gortash's actual body.

He's most likely body type two due to his height and how his clothes fit our companions with the same basic body type. I KNOW there's no in-game model of him without his clothes. Damn, you, Larian 😡 [shakes fist ineffectually]. If there was one, though, he would be built about the same as Gale, Wyll, and Astarion.

Body type two is fit, well-muscled, with ripped abs but not crazy swole like body type four.

Gortash is average height, 5'8"-5'9" (175cm) based on the official Larian tweet saying Astarion is 5'9" (because they're the same height). He weighs 150-165lbs (75kg) based on in-game stats for body type two. Weight in-game oddly varies by a little over an entire 'stone' when you swap between metric and imperial measurements.

I almost never see shirtless Gortash without a body mod that gives him a beefy torso and arms that don't match his in-game model in the slightest. When he isn't beefed up, he's pudgy.

I love my men in all shapes and sizes. The art of him with different bodies, including (maybe especially 🤔) femtash, is AMAZING. Keep it up, all of you! Please! 🙏

I just recently noticed that I haven't seen Gortash looking like himself in much besides some beautiful posts from Asian artists on Twitter. The default Durgetash ship is well-fed there. I only wish default Durge didn't have a tail so often, but I digress...

I'm totally behind pre-game Gortash being somewhat more muscular in his youth, and many years post-game Gortash becoming an actual, squishy bear, but he doesn't need all that extra muscle or squish to be appealing.

When I see him like that, I feel like the fandom is reinforcing the perception that only jacked young-ish men and dadbod older men deserve the level of devotion we offer this fictional man. Can't we just admit that a man with an average build (above average, really) and a terrible haircut, but a brilliant mind and a spectacular voice is unbelievably sexy independent of his physical form?

(Also, don't call him dirty or say he doesn't wash his hair. Your bigoted caucasian is showing.)

I agree on him being sleep-deprived, however.

If I could imagine him being a Pact of the Tome warlock, which I can't (unless he was a warlock of the celestial with Bane as his patron 🤔), he would definitely have the Aspect of the Moon Eldritch Invocation from Xanthar's Guide to Everything, which would allow him to never have to sleep again.

He would need it for the Absolute plot's timeline to make a lick of sense...
