I feel as if König is allergic to peanuts and true oranges specifically

Peanuts make him swell up and fall to the ground like a lead balloon because he loses his ability to breathe while true oranges make him nauseous with cramps so horrific that he is very close to feeling what we feel when we get periods

But he is perfectly fine with things like pistachios and almonds or clementines and tangerines to the point he eats them daily. Due to him biting his nails to shreds from his anxiety you have to help him with the peels as he struggles to get his nails in while with pistachios he just squeezes them between his fingers to break the shell. Nine times out of ten when you bring a fresh five kilogram bag of pistachios home because you wanted to make some pistachio treats for him you will find him stuffing them into his mouth like a squirrel at ungodly hours of the night until two thirds of the bag is gone

He absolutely adores pistachio ice cream. He does not care if he is lactose intolerant he will take a pill to help him or he will endure the hours of cramps. He probably enjoys the strawberry and pistachio ice cream the most, the one that has strawberry chunks, pistachio bits, white chocolate, and biscuit crumble in it with honey glazed on top (it is the best flavour of ice cream and you can fight me on it) with Oreo cookies and cream being his second favourite

ozzie, you're so right !! i think it's peanuts specifically, although he's desperate for a taste of peanut butter, and can't help but drool at the sight of chocolate and peanut mixed together. he'll die for a bite, quite literally, but you have to give him his epipen, or drag him away from the kitchen.

könig has a big appetite, and a huge sweet tooth. he can't resist strawberry flavoured desserts, stuffing it into his mouth and hiding away, embarrassed as he has his cheeks stuffed full, like a squirrel almost... 🐿️

if you buy pistachio ice-cream, it will be gone the next morning... or, you'll find a half empty tub in the freezer, könig licking his lips, with his hand deep in a bag of pistachios. i love salted cashews, i think he'd love them too, they wouldn't last very long after being bought...

the chunks in the strawberry are delicious to könig, but i absolutely despise them! too chunky, i would rather be sick... with oranges, the smell makes me nauseous, it's such a prominent and noticeable smell and i'd have to cover my nose while peeling it for könig. one fruit, i believe könig would hate (that i also happen to hate) is bananas. the texture? too mushy... taste? it's indescribable, i can't... and the bruises on them? absolutely disgusting.

könig can be judgemental accidentally, and he will glare at the reader for eating mint chocolate chip...

könig bites his ice-cream, and i'm getting chills at the thought of it. he'll do it purposely to fuck with you (unless you're also evil, and bite your ice-cream... my teeth couldn't 😮‍💨)

How would the Ghosts like their ice cream, I wonder.

Logan Walker:

Can see him being lactose intolerant but would still gorge on ice cream by the tub.

"So worth it," he'd definitely say as he destroys the toilet later

Has to settle for non-dairy ice creams made with vegan milk

I think his favourite flavour would be something classic like vanilla

The others tease him for his basic choice, but he thinks its versatile and pairs with other flavours pretty well

Even on its own, he defends it for having a complex flavour

I can see him being a cone person; likes crunchy, especially the chocolate bit at the bottom

Likes to add crunchy toppings on his ice cream like m&m's and crushed cookies or Oreos

If dared to, he'd deepthroat a cone (did that once and choked; dad had to do the Heimlich manoeuvre)

David 'Hesh' Walker:

Not lactose intolerant

Has a sweet tooth but would not gorge on a tub of ice cream- too disciplined for that

His favourite flavour would be chocolate and/or coffee. He likes the bittersweet taste

He eats ice cream very slowly that he ends up accidentally turning it into soup

For that reason, he's a cup person. He's gotten his hands messy and sticky too many times eating from a cone.

Vanilla ice-cream is absolute stability to Miguel, because most of the time, whether it's on its own or served with something, he loves it.

he doesn't really like ice cream that he calls 'artificial', or other basic ice creams for some reason

chocolate ice cream? He doesn't like it, he simply feels that of all the culinary derivatives that cocoa could offer, this is by far one of the least enjoyable. And let's be honest, if you don't know how to eat properly, you're going to look pretty ridiculous with the moustache that would be formed by this dessert.

Strawberry ice cream? Very childish, very sweet and he doesn't necessarily appreciate the base fruit, or at least not enough to pick it if it is offered to him.

Pistachio ice cream? It's not bad, but he'd rather eat the shelled fruit as an aperitif than find it in his ice cream.

Peppermint ice cream? He finds it very refreshing, but the part he likes best about it is the crunchy chocolate flakes, which contrast perfectly with the creaminess of the ice cream.

Coffee ice cream? He already likes that a bit more. It has to be said that Miguel drinks so much coffee that he wonders whether the blood in his veins isn't actually the drink itself. However, he was drinking it simply out of addiction to stay awake, not necessarily for the taste, which he finds bitter. So he could find a little satisfaction in its ice-cream version. Bonus point if it has the little sweet coffee beans that crunch under your teeth

Lemon ice cream? He might like acidity, but he is extremely meticulous about his sorbet preferences.

In fact, he much prefers smooth textures where you can really feel the cream, apart of course, as mentioned earlier, from those with little crunchy bits. He doesn't like coconut ice cream, passion fruit or other sorbets, but he does like mango, yoghurt and hazelnut sorbets/ice creams.

His favourite, above all, remains vanilla ice cream

Vanilla pecan, vanilla caramel, everything just gets better and better with it.

It's true, the potential and diversity of flavours that can be achieved with vanilla ice cream is truly varied.

take the belle hélène pears for example, the warmth of the chocolate covering the pear combined with the freshness of the vanilla is superb

a scoop of vanilla ice cream in a coffee, a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a crêpe, or even a dame blanche

everything about vanilla ice cream is delicious to him, and he likes the fact that he could add little extras if he feels like it.

the list of coulis could be added, of course. Caramel coulis, chocolate coulis, red fruit coulis and all the others are a sure bet with vanilla ice cream.

As for the side ingredients, he likes peanuts, chocolate chips and sugar crystals.

But his favourite by far is sprinkles. It isn't necessarily for the aesthetics of the thing, but rather for the sensation of contrast that is brought to it. It's not so big that he has to spend all his time chewing on it, nor is it so thin as to be imperceptible, it's just the right size, with just the right amount of added flavour: the perfect balance.

Isaac: he’d probably like chocolate ngl. A bit basic but alright. Nothing that stands out too much. I feel like he would also like vanilla. Either that or something stupid like bubblegum. He’s too done to care, he’ll get whatever he pleases lol.

Magdalene: something rich like salted caramel, or a very fancy vanilla. Rocky road. Cookie dough. Or all of the above, together. She has a huge sweet tooth and likes mixing and matching.

Cain: He likes it simple, so I guess vanilla could go. Or rum raisin because he’s an old man.

I have some more dessert headcanons 🍰 I doubt I can explain but it's just a feeling I have. Daniil would like Turkish Delight. Lara and Artemy both like fruit pies, best is blueberry for Lara and rhubarb (it's a vegetable but whatever) for Artemy (oh god I'm stereotyping based on colors again). Candy corn for Clara. Candy corn is divisive but I actually like it. I think Grief would like candy in general, maybe those little chocolates with liquor inside, and cinnamon flavored things. Big Vlad - mincemeat pie. Rubin - bread. Just bread. Red velvet cake for Katerina, meringues for Eva. For Aspity, those dirt pies made out of oreo crumbs, pudding, and gummy worms lol. I think Grace, Notkin, Sticky, and Murky would like those too :o)

There's probably some obscure dialogue that contradicts something there but oh well~

What do you think of Victor's animal being a tiger? I keep thinking Basset Hound and yes that's almost entirely because they both have a high likelihood of being found sitting on the floor by the clock. He's some kind of scent hound to me - more calm and deliberate than sighthounds, and once they have their mind set on something, focusing on it to the extent that it's nearly impossible to pull them away. But at the same time, I can sort of see the cat thing.

Eva

Turkish delight, Honey soaked rose baklava, kanafeh with sweer syrups. The intensely sweet desserts are her favourite, think heavy caramel chocolate cakes. She'd sample a lot of desserts from different cultures but those would be her comfort ones.

Victor Kain

The dishes he eats are an acquired taste that wouldn't appeal to most people. Think blue cheese and something along those lines. think bitter chocolate, coffee, and pistachio flavours. Traditional creme burlee and dark chocolate mousse.

I like to think that Khan abhors these flavours and desserts out of rebellion and only demands the most sprinkle filled bubblegum bonbon cupcakes for his birthday.

Maria, however, goes for flavour-rich desserts that explode in the mouth, something with a heavy taste and an aftermath of wine.

Yulia

Cheesecake, lemon tarts. Subtle sweetness with the spin of something different sate her appetit the most. French Vanilla chiffon cake for special occasions, a blueberry muffin with her morning light cream cappuccino.

Rubin

He's absolutely not a dessert person, so when the craving strikes, he would rather go for a baked good. Almond bread, rosemary-walnut brow butter cookies and biscuits, English muffins too.

Taya

Fairy bread cookies, strawberry shortcake, and orange puddings. Fruit based desserts with cream are her favourite. Peach pie and cherry jello. Sadly, most of these would only be found in the Capital, and exporting them into the town wouldn't come easily. The kin might adjust their recipies to accommodate her sweet tooth and include more fresh fruits.

For Victor's animal, I was surprised to learn it's the same one as Rubin! They both have tiger in their descriptions. Especially when Khan's animal is an adorable hedgehog. Oh my god, so cute. But it fits. He really does go hide in that spiky polyhedron whenever life gets too troubling. He also has the Kains and Capella ready to protect him.

It's because of Victor's animal being a tiger that I add the "predatory" lines in the story. The sharp claws hidden in his clapsed hands.

He's a tiger in the aspect of the danger rather than the ferality. His mind is as sharp as a tiger's tooth and his focus and patience when hunting a prey or a goal is unmatched. You never expect him or hear him, how he'll as stealthy as a tiger when it comes to mind games.

For Rubin, however, I do see the symbolism centring on the ferality instead. He's like a caged tiger, one with filed down claws and broken teeth. He used to be so sharp and had so much potential. He's truly a force to be reckon with, but the cruelty of life stole away his prime. He's overcome with grief and appears as a docile, tired predetor because of it, like a circus tiger not caring anymore and just jumping through the fire hoops of whoever orders him to. Which is why he is so quick to join the army, he needs a purpose, a mentor, an end goal, a firey ring to make him feel useful because nothing is more terrifying to an imprisoned animal than absolute freedom.

What do you think the winx’s and specialists favourite Ice cream flavour would be ?

Bloom: Chocolate or any variety of a chocolaty ice cream

Stella: Pistachio, or something fruity like mango or peaches and cream

Musa: Coffee

Flora: soft-serve vanilla/chocolate swirl

Tecna: French vanilla

Aisha: cherry, but has a love for cookie dough because it was Anne's favourite.

Riven: Strawberry, strawberry cheesecake, anything with strawberries. Or coffee - which he usually regrets not getting as a second scoop, so he steals some of Musa's.

Sky: Raspberry-lime.

Brandon: Maple or anything in the caramel family. Like his milkshakes, Brandon likes his ice creams decked out. I'm talking dipped in chocolate and covered with an obscene amount of sprinkles or candies.

Helia: Something not very sweet, like basil mint. He has trouble finding it in most ice cream shops so usually gets whatever the least sweet thing available is.

Timmy: Butter pecan or butterscotch.

Nabu: Whatever the sweetest thing available is - brownie, cookie dough, chocolate chip cookie dough. If it satisfies his sweet tooth, he loves it. He and Brandon have competitions of who can get (and finish) the sweetest ice cream concoction. They make all the others taste their creations.

Oh? Hmm ... this is hard to say ... there are so many good flavours ... It depends on what I crave that day. Sometimes dark chocolate, something nutty like pistachio or haselnut. Other days fruits. Forest berries, passion fruit, pomgranate, strawberries ... blueberries! And sometimes everything together. With real fruits and whipped cream of course.

“Because it has been uprooted as my favourite ice cream flavour. By pistachio.” Gideon raised his cone in the air as though charging into battle, and he watched as Sophie’s face dropped from amusement into horror. He did not realize why until he bore witness to his gelato staining the cobblestones beneath them as it fell into an unfortunate pile.

“Well,” Sophie said, and met Gideon’s eye. She burst into giggles. “I may not have the pistachio that you so crave, but I suppose that I could share my strawberry. If need be. Under the condition that you share your next flavour with me.”

“I suppose that would be a fair deal,” Gideon muttered.

So I guess this is the angstier part of the answer SKXJSIXJSJS I haven't given it much of a thought, but as of now, yes, Shadow in this au is inmortal. Like everything else, it's uncertain if Emmie is as well, so of course that brings concern for both Sonic and Shadow. Of course, what would be even angstier was if Emmie wasn't inmortal like her dad, because he would outlive her, I just sort of imagine that the whole inmortality thing was a big deal for Shadow when he was younger and it would stop him from doing a lot of things he wanted. Eventually he lets go, which is why he's even married in the first place, but the fear of living longer than his daughter -and husband, for that matter- never really leaves, he just kind of lives with it.

I present to you, mauraders eras favourite ice cream flavours. Because I'm bored.

James: rocky road, was his favourite treat as a kid and he eats it when he's homesick, also he's just a big baby.

Sirius: raspberry ripple, he likes the sauce bit most

Remus: chocolate (obviously)

Peter: pistachio. No other comments.

Lily: strawberry, it's simple but sweet.

Regulus: vanilla, basic and safe, he's not too adventurous when it comes to food.

Barty: lemon sorbet. Tells people it's healthier. Has a chocolate flake in it.

Evan: never has the same thing twice, will get the most outrageous flavour he can find, steals licks from everyone else if he an get away with it.

Mary: a Mr whippy with as many sprinkles as they'll let her have.

Marlene: bubblegum. Will try and convince everyone that it's better. Gets bored of it halfway through and tries to trade.

Dorcas: apple sorbet, eventually shares with marlene so she'll stop pouting.

Snape: mint. Choc. Chip.
