omg I’m so excited to see the Shroud parents, I thought they’d for sure be locked only to hometown events!! did not expect them to be in the main story. speaking of, why do you think they haven’t shown their faces to us? do you think maybe twst had to cut corners to make it for this update?

Yes, the helmets have super cool and sleek designs ^^ Mr. Shroud has a more oblong shape like Hades’ face, and I actually notice those were flowers on Mrs. Shroud’s until one of these Anons pointed it out. (I think maybe because the “flowers” looked too spiky for my mind to register them as mimicking something organic?? Totally thought they were stars!) In hindsight, flowers makes a lot of sense given that there’s an infamous irl ancient Greek myth about how the seasons came to be (which, of course, involves Hades and Persephone becoming romantically involved—though there are variations across different tellings).

My guess is it probably would have taken just as much time to design new faces and hair as it did to design those complicated helmets. Because of that, I believe current looks are probably intentional rather than a last minute change for convenience. Now that the Shroud parents do wear those helmets, we may be given an explanation for them somewhere down the line.

The helmets could be a conscious fashion decision the characters make! What the reason for that is exactly, I’m not sure. It could be special equipment they wear to protect themselves, but then I don’t think it makes a ton of sense because if that’s the case then… why are the Shroud parents the only ones wearing them?? Why wouldn’t all the other STYX researchers also have them on?

It could be a medical issue limited to Mr. ans Mrs. Shroud (like maybe it’s an air purifier??), but we don’t really have any evidence to support that. Idia’s family isn’t described to be particularly sickly either.

Maybe it’s a shyness thing (and Idia takes after them)??? Like, they don’t want their faces to be seen by their coworkers because it makes them feel kind of awkward…? We’ve seen that Idia better communicates when it’s not face-to-face and/or when his face is concealed (like in a Pumpkin Knight helmet), so it could be a similar situation for his parents. Alternatively, maybe the headwear denotes high status in the organization…? But Idia was not wearing one when he was at STYX 🤔

If anyone had any other ideas or theories, I’d love to hear them ^^ (cbskxbkwbsi I did hear a few people jokingly theorizing that the helmets are equipped with voice modifiers because they were shocked at how youthful Mrs. Shroud sounded! I believe her VA is the same person that voices Cardcaptor Sakura and Mr. Shroud is voiced by the person that does adult dorm Kero aka Cerberus…? Idia was literally born from anime legends 😂)

I seen that you liked Ghibli, and i simply got so happy! (i simply adore everything that has to do with Miyazaki's work, and feel so exited for his next movie!)

Well, here's my request: the Mad Hatters with a s/o who's EXACTLY like Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle!

I really like the idea of the s/o being a Hatter, so Jervis could either fall in love due to her work, or feel evious but end's loving her due to her calm, kind and honest nature!

Arkhamverse Mad Hatter:

- At first he is unsure...

- Who ever heard of there being ANOTHER Hatter??

- But you were a different kind of Hatter.

- Not only were you extremely gifted in making various hats but…you were also incredibly kind…

- Even to someone like him. 

- He soon grows to be absolutely enamored by you. 

- Jervis may use your own unsuspecting hats for his plans 

- And the recipient better be appreciative to get to wear his beloved's hats. 

BTAS Mad Hatter:

- Jervis absolutely adores you. 

- He loves to see how creative and spontaneous you get when coming up with designs. 

- Hat making is one of your favorite pastimes for the two of you. 

- You two have definitely collaborated on numerous hats from concept to execution. 

- You often use this as a time to ramble off to each other about everything and anything. 

- Jervis never felt more comfortable in his own skin than when he's in your shop. 

- He can't help but smile to himself that maybe, his little bonnet shop with his sweet hatter can become a reality.  

TNBA Mad Hatter: 

- Jervis is delighted to have you by his side. 

- While he works and tinkers with his inventions. 

- You would be working away at some new headwear. 

- He'd always prefer your charming top hats you made. 

- But then again, everything you made was as beautiful as you.

- It's awkward at first, it seems so fitting but yet there's some slight contrast in motivations.

- At first he's somewhat uneasy…

- He's trying to avoid tea and hats…to be with a Hatter would be counterintuitive. 

- Not that he isn't amazed by some of your creations. 

- Jervis can think of a plethora of characters who would don all the various hat wear. 

- He feels simultaneously overwhelmed but also right at home. 

- Your sweet, attentive, and honest nature helps him feel at ease.

- Yet maybe, just maybe, with someone as caring and mindful, perhaps he can finally have both love and hats.

Secret Six Mad Hatter: 

- Jervis is definitely likely to be competitive at first.

- Can you make a hat that would fit your pinky? Could you make a hat that would properly fit an apple? 

- He can't help but be impressed when you do just that and then some. 

- Soon envy turns into admiration for detail…

- You know he likes his food with hats and you make your own hats for all his meals. 

- Hats alone definitely becomes something of a love language between you two. 

- You'll make one's for him and he makes them for you. 

- You're the only one he trusts to take care of his hat if it gets damaged. 

- It's hard for Jervis to imagine being with anyone else but another Hatter.

Season 7 Episode 8: Step Nine.

Okay starting off I am terrified of what’s about to happen. Bobby needs a fucking break and I’m very upset that Amir has turned evil.

Overall I am happy that Amir wasn’t a bad guy. But I’m also extremely disappointed in the fact that the only mains we saw were Bobby and Athena. Like the show gives us Buck and Tommy and then doesn’t show them for two episodes…… how rude.

hELlo imagine 👀👀 perhaps–– Imagine slow, chill mornings with Thoma where he doesn't have to get up at the break of dawn to deal with his duties as a chief retainer and as a fixer. Mornings where you two merely stand out in the garden, his arms wrapped around your middle and his chin on your shoulder as you take a sip of your drink of choice. The two of you just listening to the birds in the branches, the sound of the waves against the shore in the distance. It's calming and peaceful, and time moves slowly while you do nothing but exist comfortably in each others' presence and let the world pass you by.

NOTES. I actually liked that omg but what I added is somewhat like a scene of what happened before of what you said lmao hahaha when you mentioned mornings I was like--oh hell yeah waking up next to thoma that would be really great yes. 

The sun on this Sunday morning is cruel, yet so it is kind. 

THOMA’s eyes fluttered open, but it was merely such a routine—to wake up early was part of the clock that his body was accustomed to, no matter what day it was or what season it may be. 

This moment, however, the light peeking from the windows chose itself to land upon his skin, kissing them just as soft as he does when he reaches and does the same to you, who was lying beside him. He finds himself smiling to himself as his eyes lands over your face, slowly lifting his heavy arm, still half-asleep, to gently caress your cheek; tracing his fingers to your cheekbones, the corner of your eyes, the bridge of your nose, and even the skin next to your lips. He finds himself softly chuckling as he wipes the slight drool on them, then leaning forward, unable to stop himself from pecking your lips. 

This action, however, caused you to slowly open your eyes, coming into the poetry of realism as the form of your beloved comes clear in front of you; the outlines of his handsome face, the forgiving lines of his hair strands that softly land over his forehead and his eyes without the presence of the weird headwear that he always seems to have on. You could probably make out the thin sheath of sweat on it, making you lazily reach out and wipe them away. It still amazes you to this day how you’ve gotten such a man like him—so genuine, so beautiful inside and out. 

“What shall we do today?” he inquires, smiling as bright as the sun, even with the still-drowsy look on his face. 

You, however, found purchase on the sides of his waist, snaking your arms as you whined and buried your face on the warmth of his chest, hiding away from both the brightness of his eyes and the sun. 

“I don’t wanna get up yet,” you slurred, you almost immediately felt him also wrap his arms around you, releasing a chuckle that seemed like music to your ears. 

“If my honey says so, then cuddling it is.” 

Smiling to yourself, you could only snuggle closer, if it was possible. If you slept more that morning, it didn’t matter for him, nor you. It was Sunday—your day together. Anywhere with you will always be the best day for him. In the end though, you two ended up relaxing under the same sun that woke you both up and indulged in the presence of each other by your side.

Bane wearing a beanie

A quote from my book's new story chapter in AO3 "Going undercover".

“Oh no, you are not going to put that on,” she objected softly in his ear, appearing behind Bane’s shoulder.

“What do you mean? It’s a nice hat.”

“Who do you see in the mirror when you look at it?”

“Myself, lady. Who else?” Bane snorted, completely missing the trap in her words. 

“Exactly. And, that’s especially what we don’t want. She gently removed the wide-brimmed hat Bane had put on, and when the Duros was about to object, she seized his jaw, turning him to look in the mirror again, simultaneously fitting a soft, brimless headwear to cover Bane’s metal plate.

“As long as you don’t have your hat nobody recognizes you.”

Bane looked at his reflection. He couldn’t object, even if he would have liked to.

”You're gonna pay for this too, lady.”

My reader: "omg did she just give him a beanie?"

...So there you have, Bane wearing a beanie. Had to draw it. No, It´s not for the story, just Winter-Bane being grumpy.

omg hi winter!!!!!! my thoughts are

truly!!! i get it hollywood, i do; the regency period and the empire waistlines can be a drag but only if you let them!! (also winter this got kinda long 😭 so feel free to ignore as well lmao thank u for letting me talk!)

the use of color was v accurate but still fun, you have all these soft pastels and delicate fabrics but emma still stands out by keeping up with the fashion trends as a rich woman. it also contrasts her well with mia goth’s character who i literally can’t remember now who starts in not dowdier but less elaborate and slowly starts adding more with the implication that emma is giving her clothes or helping her with them which is cute! (i think it helps that anya joy taylor has a very....timeless face? like that joke with dakota johnson in persuasion where she just looks like she knows what an iphone is, anya joy taylor and mia goth feel like the opposite to me, they could do any period and i’d believe them)

i read some articles showing the actual historical pieces referenced and tweaked only slightly. and of course who can forget the bonnets!!!!! to be honest, bonnets or at least some form of headwear that would be referred to as such were sooooo common especially in high class society. personally i find them cute and pleasing to decorate and they add so much to making a piece seem more accurate even if other elements struggle so i don’t know why we keep ignoring them?? it takes me out of it lmaooo like okay harlot 🤨 where is ur privacy bonnet??

What do I change/add?

Nancy and Maya are together A WHILE before she gets kidnapped. Maya meets all the characters and gets the tour of the whole palladium.

Nancy does not go check out the snacks , instead the culprit abducts Maya right in front of Nancy in a black coat and headwear. 

Simone is 10 times WORSE. Like, the woman flat out pens a screenplay, casts it, and hires a production staff of a movie about Maya’s disappearence 

Harry Houdini is still prominent, but Nick is a relative just as Brady is to JJ Thompson

Nancy almost catches Maya when she is found in one of the cages on stage, but the culprit lowers the cages and Maya vanishes again.

Our boy Joseph is the baddie, but he does it because he is worried Maya is going to expose too much and learn about his past.

It’s today’s last episode, and it’s the special 90s tribute one people have been so excited for me to see.

Kevin is back, back again, in Introducing Kevin 11!

Oh gods, even the music over the opening credits is 90s

A swap meet dedicated to the 90s. Speaking as someone born in 1990, the nostalgia is already real.

Ben, doubting his grandfather is qualified to be watching children. As I have for 11 years

My gods, Kevin has managed to be the most 90s thing in the room. He’s wearing fucking rollerblades and a garish blue/purple/yellow combo. I went to school with people in that outfit! I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that jacket in person!

Oh my gods, including the headwear. When this boy comes to a swapmeet he comes prepared. Now I wanna see what the fuck he’d have worn to the ren fair.

The slow shift from ‘aw, Ben isn’t rising to my teasing’ to fucking ‘oh I know how to ruin his day’ Grinch smile is lovely

omg Kevin pulling out the “in the 90s it was cool to be bad”. It’s adorable, like watching children try to cite medieval standards.

And Kevin pulls out an alien once Ben refutes his attempts to get him to misbehave. Not even because he’s annoyed, just for fun.

Rush, also cool, very insect vibe.

Apparently this Kev doesn’t like Sumo Slammers. Or at least Ben doesn’t think he does. Also Kevin stealing a toy purely because Ben wanted to buy it.

...okay 1) Kevin we don’t fart in people’s faces, 2) damn that other sumo nerd was a jerk. Like, to blame that on Ben takes willful ignorance given Kevin was right there, sticking his ass in Ben’s face, and called for his attention just before farting. I hope that other kid lost his cards on the bus or something.

Ben finally getting to properly throwdown, get revenge for Kevin’s bullshit.

Oh Kevin baby. We’ve finally gotten to the one Kevin scene I was properly spoiled for and boy is it a doozy. Ben knocks Kevin around until he times out and Kevin gets upset with him. As far as he was concerned he was just playing, having fun, and Ben, still Four Arms, calls him out, says it wasn’t fun for him. He demands answers for why Kevin’s been following him, demands he basically get his own life. Kevin doesn’t answer his question, just calls him a baby and tells him to run off back to his grandfather, and Ben-

“At least I have someone to run back to-!” Note, I’ve seen people give Ben shit over this, but I’ll allow it if just because the second it comes out his mouth he realizes he crossed a line and tries to backpedal. He’s not a bad kid, he just, well, kids are stupid and he’s worked up. And Kevin, the look on his face, like he’s pissed and upset at the same time. And when he responds there’s baring of teeth, but also he’s very clearly really upset. Ben struck a serious nerve there with him, for one reason or another.

“So, that’s how it is.” This line has stuck with me since I first saw this scene, how it’s said, and now with the context- I said before, when talking about Kevin’s bullying behavior and what might be behind it, that Kevin might not target Ben specifically for any reason at all, and I think now is when I should clarify that. I don’t think Kevin’s targeting Ben was personal. Because this moment right here, that’s a ‘now it’s personal’ moment. Whatever reason Kevin targeted him, it’s not because Kevin had a problem with him specifically. But right here, right now, in Kevin’s mind Ben has escalated things. And so he dials up something “original”, just for him.

And through all that, Ben’s still trying to apologize.

Bashmouth looks awesome

Half of this episode has been Ben calling Kevin and his shit cool.

“Kevin, you’re out of control” Yes, yes he is, this is one pissed and hurt puppy. One who, when he responds with “Who cares” does it loudly enough that Ben’s blown back, the ground beneath his feet craters, and some concrete supports start cracking.

Bashmouth=Kevin’s Rath. Ben=Concerned little bean.

Ben is having an existential crisis because Kevin is cooler and stronger and gets an extra alien.

They are throwing a ‘don’t compare yourself to other people, love you for you’ moral at the end of this. I feel like it could’ve been placed better somewhere else. Comes out of left field a bit.

Plus- Ben apologizes to Kevin for his earlier remark, asks him to help clean up the disaster they caused so people don’t get hurt Cons- Kevin agreeing because Gwen

And Kevin punches through the fucking roof, escaping that way and leaving Ben in the collapsing whatever.

Kevin stopped to wave as he bounded off as Bashmouth

Forever Nerd showing up while Kev recovers from the day, criticizing his lack of control (which is bullshit, his control so far has been fine, Bashmouth was a mess and he’s got emotional issues, but Rath started out a mess too and he got a hang of shit fine in the end) and insisting that it doesn’t matter how much stronger he is if he can’t control himself. Offers to help. And Kevin reluctantly agrees. Honestly it almost feels like this ep would’ve worked better before Franken-Fight. Was scheduled wrong on both sides of the globe. It fills that void between it and KotC well.

What a scene! And how did you manage to get that setup with the sims carring a corpse?? WOW Poses are Tumblinrob’s mover poses, and Eun’s funeral pose. The board is an object edit by me, which I always mean to post, but the box that goes with it is giving me trouble.

Amazing pics! I can't begin to imagine how much time these took you to do! This scene crashed the game, because when I had it all set up, my brother walked in, and I scrolled away to show him the marvels of Middle Earth. That was too much for the computer of course :) Luckily I had all the pictures taken! It’s a bit of a pity - this story is all about epic riding scenes in my imagination, but they’re so hard to do.

What a great date to start a new story! lol 1st Jan I think I mentioned to someone back then, that my story would start after Christmas, but it didn’t, as I was waiting for Middle Earth world to be released. So I at least opened the sideblog officially on January 1st.
