Arrivals & Departures . 28 October 1897 – 24 October 1981 . Edith Claire Head (née Posenor)
Edith Claire Head (née Posenor) was an American costume designer who won a record eight Academy Awards for Best Costume Design between 1949 and 1973, making her the most awarded woman in the Academy's history. Head is considered to be one of the greatest and most influential costume designers in film history.
Born and raised in California, Head started her career as a Spanish teacher, but was interested in design. After studying at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, Head was hired as a costume sketch artist at Paramount Pictures in 1923. She won acclaim for her design of Dorothy Lamour’s trademark sarong in the 1936 film The Jungle Princess, and became a household name after the Academy Award for Best Costume Design was created in 1948. Head was considered exceptional for her close working relationships with her subjects, with whom she consulted extensively; these included virtually every top female star in Hollywood.
Head worked at Paramount for 44 years. In 1967, the company declined to renew her contract, and she was invited by Alfred Hitchcock to join Universal Pictures. There she earned her eighth and final Academy Award for her work on The Sting in 1973.

The Best Ways to Learn a New Language
Some of the Best Ways to Learn a New Language
My name is Tamara and I have always been interested in languages, how people communicate and how we can interact even more by learning new languages. I was able to take an international exchange program in 2019 and I started taking this interest to a new level by learning and interacting with friends and people that I was lucky to get to know.
I continue studying and trying to learn from home and this is what inspired me to write this article to help more people achieve their language goals and share some of my favourite ways to learn a new language.
People often recognize that being multilingual is associated with career benefits, but did you know that language learning can also enhance your cognitive health? Too often, people graduate from school and leave foreign languages behind in the classroom. Yet, there are some surprising advantages to tackling language learning later in life, too.
As you learn a new language, you build up your communication skills, supercharge your brain with heightened activity in its language centers, and possibly even open yourself up to new work and travel experiences.
Fortunately, today’s language learners have a wide range of instruction options, like Idyoma, that don’t tether them to a traditional classroom. Finding time to learn a new language outside the home can be difficult for people with full-time jobs and busy households. By learning a new language at home, you can adopt an instruction schedule that suits your time frame — and you can fit in practice when it’s most convenient for you. As you decide whether to embrace ESL or learn Japanese, Spanish, or French, keep the following information in mind to help you create a learning dynamic at home that supports your learning style.
Best Ways to Learn a New Language
Benefits of being mulitlingual
Setting up your learning space
Top 10 tips for learning fast
Tips for teaching kids a second language
Why You Should Learn a New Language: The Benefits of Being Multilingual
Although there are many new pastimes one might embrace — knitting or gardening, web design or data science — to fill time, learning a new language is both enjoyable and professionally useful. Today, the career marketplace is highly global.
Bilingualism and multilingualism can catapult your resume to the top of an employer’s list, especially if the company is international and relies on its multilingual staff to communicate across borders. Learning Korean or German can open up an entire range of job opportunities that you may never have thought of before.
Of course, there are other benefits of learning a new language, too. Language learning actually enhances your mental health. As we age, our cognitive function can diminish just as our physical health can. But, language learning can reduce that cognitive decline, slowing its process as you forge new neural pathways.
When you learn a new language you can boost your ability to focus, keeping our minds alert and agile. Many people who engage in language learning report that the time they engage in the study actually improves their mood. As you focus on the enjoyment and challenge of your lessons, you’ll focus less on the stress of all things left undone, giving your mind the opportunity to recharge and rejuvenate from your usual anxieties and inner chatter.
Finally, you might opt to learn a new language so that you’ll be prepared to get out into the world and explore. Being multilingual makes you a more skillful traveler, building confidence and helping you navigate new, far-flung places for a grand travel experience. And learning a new language improves your communication skills — a core interpersonal and professional talent that’ll get you far in relationships, in business, and beyond.
How to Set up the Ultimate Learning Space
Of course, before you start pricing hotels in Barcelona or Paris, you’ll need to begin language instruction. But before you hire a language tutor or sign up for an online class, prepare your learning space at home so that you have everything you need to support your learning goals conveniently in one area. If you have a home office, you can enlist that space to learn, but you don’t have to dedicate an entire room to your new initiative. A special niche in your bedroom, kitchen, or family room will also suffice.
As you set up your language study area, you’ll want to ensure that it’s both quiet and comfortable. Distractions will prevent you from learning effectively. Opt for a space with good acoustics, since you’ll be doing a lot of language listening. Good lighting is important since you’ll be doing a lot of reading and writing. A desk or small table and comfortable chair are essential furnishings for your study area — but why not take your language learning space to an even more exciting level?
Whether you’ve opted to learn Hungarian or Turkish, why not set up your space with some international flair for inspiration? Add some travel posters to your wall, and keep a globe handy. Incorporate the spirit of your Spanish independent study with a Mexican blanket slung on your chair, or enhance your study of Chinese with some picturesque paper lanterns hung near your window. By creating a fun language learning space, you’ll have a special space with a retreat-like atmosphere that may very easily become your favorite place in the house.
Top 10 Hacks to Learn a New Language
Once your study space is ready and you know what language you want to learn, it’s time to get down to business. Consider all the various applications available for learning a language at home. The following hacks will help you transform yourself into a multilingual virtuoso — or close to it! Keep them in mind as you develop your language learning goals and make your plan.
Enroll in an online course
Formal instruction is a good option for individuals who prefer to learn a new language with a more-or-less traditional dynamic. If you’re concerned that independent study isn’t conducive to your learning style, consider this tried-and-true learning route. A formal course features highly structured lesson plans, assignment deadlines, and interaction with a teacher and classmates, albeit virtually.
Download the app
You’ve probably seen the advertisements online for any number of language learning apps. Less formal than an online course, these apps still offer learners a rich level of instruction designed to help them progress at a clip. Apps are ideal for independent learners who don’t have time to meet consistently for an online class.
Update your library card
Your local library system will have a wealth of materials to enhance your language-learning experience. Plan to borrow language dictionaries and picture books, novels, and even films in the language you’re learning so you can read, watch, and practice your listening skills. Check out materials in person or reserve them online and pick them up at your convenience.
Quality earbuds, headphones, or speakers
When you’re learning to speak a new language, you need to be able to hear your learning materials clearly. A speaker that crackles or earbuds that cut in and out will compromise your learning experience. Plan to invest in quality listening devices so that you can hear instructors or your language learning app with crystal clarity.
Use flashcards
Flashcards work for kids, and they will still work for you, too. In fact, if you have kids, you might want to enlist their help — invite them to quiz you on your German verbs after you quiz them on their multiplication facts. You can also find flashcard apps for literally any language you want to learn.
Hire a language tutor
There comes a point when you might hit a stumbling block or a series of obstacles while learning a new language. Don’t despair! Check with area colleges, and engage a language tutor. This can be especially helpful if you’ve never learned a foreign language before or you want to stay on track and pick up speed as you move from beginner-level learning to the more complex, intermediate stages.
Find a learning partner
Convince your bestie, spouse, partner, or friend to consider learning a language with you. When you have a partner, you can keep each other motivated and take turns studying at one another’s homes. Of course, ideally, you’ll want to find someone who’s just as enthusiastic about learning Russian or Portuguese as you are, so choose your language learning pal wisely.
Listen to native speakers
One of the complaints that many students of languages have is that classroom and app models are too formal and not the stuff of everyday language you’ll hear on the streets of Rio, or Naples. Use your devices to track down native language speakers — like watching and listening to videos on the internet. This is particularly helpful if you plan to travel to the country whose language you’re learning.
Be kind and patient with yourself
Too often, people abandon their language pursuits because life interrupts them, and they find it difficult to resume their studies. Keep in mind that it’s okay to learn at your own speed and tempo. It may be asking too much of yourself to learn Italian in six months. If you need to adjust your goals, do it! The key is to keep going — and don’t be afraid to revisit old lessons when you need a refresher.
Immerse yourself in culture
Language learning may seem tedious at times, especially if you’re struggling with tenses or complex sentence structures.
Maintain your motivation to keep learning by immersing yourself in the culture of the language. Learning Greek? Invite your best friend to a luncheon at your favorite Greek restaurant. Learning Spanish? Set Saturday nights aside for a tapas feasting! You’ll find that cultural immersion boosts your learning — and enriches your life.
Tips to Teach Kids a Second Language
Speak It
If you speak a second or third language and you want your children to learn it, the first step is to speak it with them. Children learn through repetition. Consistency is necessary to develop a habit, so the more your kids listen to you speaking in another language, the easier it will be for them to grasp it.
Music
Just like for an adult, listening to music in a different language is one of the best tips to follow when trying to learn a new language. For both children and adults, starting with kid’s songs with easy and basic words can work best.
Audiobooks
For bedtime or nap time, you could aid yourself by using audiobooks. Following a story with the help of native speakers can work wonders for children to learn different intonations, accents, and vocabulary while also entertaining them.
Have fun
Doing fun activities in the language you are trying to teach your kids is another great way to help them grasp the language. If you grew up in another country, do you remember what activities you enjoyed when you were a child? You can plan a fun afternoon with games from your home country to do with your children. If this is not the case and you are just trying to teach your child to learn a new language, games with new vocabulary are always the best bet.
Video
Another good idea is to let them watch tv or movies in another language. Not only tv shows where they interact with the audience work, standard format movies, cartoons, and shows can help you at home, they don’t need to spend hours in front of a screen. This is only to aid you in the repetition, consistency, and the develop a habit side of the process. Remember it is important that they have access to other intonations, accents, and vocabulary for them to acquire the language faster.
Space to Learn
You can set up a special space for them to study. If they are being homeschooled, they would probably already have a designated space for their study work but if not, you can choose a corner in the kitchen, your home office, or their playroom for this purpose.
Things to add to their study space:
Get them a small table or desk their size with chairs.
Set up a whiteboard on the wall with markers for them to write down vocabulary words or to draw.
Corkboards are great to stick images and vocabulary words to.
Shelves for their storybooks and dictionaries.
Be sure to have good light.
Add color. Remember children’s classrooms are always colorful, this makes them feel in a fun and exciting environment. Bright colors stimulate the brain and can help children retain information.
Add storage. If you want to avoid clutter, add boxes or drawers for them to keep things they work with.
When is the best time to learn a language?
When young, human beings acquire new languages, they don’t actually learn them, so you could say the best age to learn a second language is as a young child.
But even if it’s easier to learn languages as a kid, don’t get discouraged. Remember that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. It’s scientifically proven that learning a language as an adult can also have its advantages. As adults, we can follow and understand grammar rules, so learning in a more technical way is easier for adults than for children.
Learning a new language enhances your life in numerous ways while providing you with a marketable skill. As you learn a new language, you’ll develop new communication skills, keep your brain agile, and even discover new writers and artists to read and enjoy as you encounter them in your studies.
Before you know it, you’ll be fluent in the language of your choosing, and who knows where you could go from there?

“We recognize that many students have experienced the trauma of the pandemic”: Superintendent Tony Thurmond
Tumblr media
The California Superintendent of Public Instruction said that in tandem with a mask mandate, massive rapid tests, and improved ventilation systems, schools in the state will implement more mental health services after the reopening.
More than 450,000 students from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) returned to school this week, amid fears from parents and teachers about the inability to vaccinate children under 12 and the spread of the COVID Delta variant.
During a briefing hosted by Ethnic Media Services and California Black Media, California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond asserted that the district has implemented all “safety and COVID mitigation measures” to resume in-person instruction.
“The state allows independent study for those who have a medical need or need an alternative to in-person instruction. But we have learned that our students have suffered from a lack of educators and peers, while mental health needs have increased and our learning gaps have been exacerbated,” said Thurmond, speaking from the campus of the Girls’ Academic Leadership Academy (Gala).
Students of color and low-income students have been the most affected by the pandemic not only in terms of loss of human life within their families and the trauma that this entails but also because of their difficulties in accessing virtual education. One million students in the district still lack access to high-speed internet. Thurmond said California is creating “infrastructure for more broadband” in rural and border communities.
“We recognize that many students have experienced the trauma of the pandemic,” Thurmond said. “There is more than $4 billion available for mental health services for youth up to age 25, more than $3 billion for community schools to have comprehensive mental health support, and support for families with universal meals.”
Other initiatives include hiring more staff to work with students in literacy programs, one-on-one tutoring, professional development, special education, and multilingual learning.
The superintendent acknowledged that “our families are skeptical and scared,” but he invited them to “translate that fear into action” by vaccinating their children and relatives older than 12. He said that last week the district contacted 500,000 California households to spread a message in several languages: vaccines are available and free for everyone regardless of immigration status or health insurance. They have even awarded $100 gift cards to some of those vaccinated. “While (vaccines) are new to most of us, they are not new to scientists,” Thurmond reiterated.
Messengers such as California General Surgeon and pediatrician Nadine Burke Harris, labor rights leader Dolores Huerta, activist Karen Korematsu, daughter of Fred T. Korematsu, who was detained at a Japanese internment camp, and former professional basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, have been talking about the importance of people across all racial groups and backgrounds getting a vaccine. They’ve also been reminded that the ability to take time off from work to get vaccinated and recover from the shot is guaranteed by California state law.
Not only does the district require mandatory masking for all students and staff on school campuses, but with the support of Governor Gavin Newsom, Thurmond’s office has facilitated more than 100,000 rapid COVID tests for LAUSD and five million in total for all California schools. These tests give results in 15 minutes, allowing to safely and immediately quarantine those positive. Other traditional measures such as the use of hand sanitizers and a 3-feet distance between students in classrooms are also encouraged.
“We’ve given money to our schools to support outdoor classrooms, air purification, and air filtration systems, improving ventilation, and access to PPE (personal protective equipment).” Thurmond mentioned that his office is working with schools affected by fires and natural disasters to supporting families in the area.
Due to fears that some students have of going back to school because of the hate crimes that have occurred since the beginning of the pandemic, especially in the Asian American community, Thurmond launched an initiative called “education to end hate” that provides implicit bias training to educators.
“During the pandemic, we created a new guide for how school districts can create their own ethnic studies curriculum, so students of color can learn about the contributions of their ancestors to make this a great state,” said the superintendent.
“Acknowledging that our system hasn’t done enough for all students, this is our moment to build it better, to ensure equity at the center… We have the way to begin the work that we need to close those learning gaps that we were dealing with historically, and the ones that have been exacerbated by the pandemic,” he concluded.

a list of gratitudes to make going to work again tomorrow better:
- i somehow wound up with 1st and 2nd period planning. and bc of covid we switched to block days and this means i start every day with an 80 minute planning period to sit quietly in my classroom and alternate between goofing off and making sure i’m ready for the day. that’s nice.
- bc i said i would take on some of the classes of the teacher who left midyear last year, but not ap spanish lit, and then they specifically didn’t hire anyone who could teach spanish lit (bc they would’ve been more expensive), and i put my foot down and said that wasn’t my problem. and then no one in admin bothered to call a meeting about it, so it all blew up in the middle of course registration. i only have 4 classes this year bc i have one period open for “advising” this virtual ap spanish lit class they’re all taking. also tbh i don’t have the numbers for 5 classes which is kind of concerning? but i guess that’s a problem that’ll get figured out later... idk
anyway i only have 4 classes. so that’s nice.
- wellbutrin. xoxo.
- the fact that jon got a work from home job that let him move in last october so that when i come home now i have someone to snuggle. and also when going to bed.

7 Best Side Hustles You Can Start Doing Today
7 Best Side Hustles You Can Start Doing Today
 ‍
Everyone knows that the 9-to-5 rat race isn't sustainable forever. To have a stable financial future, you need to find creative ways to generate income outside of your normal day job. This is known as a side hustle, and it can be anything from reselling old clothes online to teaching Spanish or something more obscure like removing honey bee nests from people's homes. It doesn't matter how small or large your side gig is; what matters is that you find something that interests you and can become a profitable part-time pursuit. Here are some ideas for getting started on your side hustle today.
  Dropshipping
Dropshipping is a business model where retailers don't own the inventory that they sell. They simply act as a middleman between customers and the wholesaler, billing the customer and the wholesaler at the same time. You don't have to worry about reselling or storing inventory, and you earn a commission off of every sale. What makes dropshipping especially great for beginners is that it's easy to scale. You can amp up your productivity by hiring virtual assistants to help with your sourcing, accounting, and shipping. Some of the most popular products to sell online are health and beauty products, apparel, and home goods. If you're interested in dropshipping, your first step is to find a wholesaler. Choose a category that interests you, and then search for wholesalers within that category. When choosing a wholesaler, keep an eye out for their drop-off fees and other hidden costs.
 Blogging
Blogging is a great side hustle because it requires relatively little startup capital. You can start a blog on WordPress for free, and then use Google AdSense to monetize your posts. You can choose to write about anything that interests you, but blogging is a great side hustle because you can scale it up or down based on your availability. You can use your blog to earn money in a variety of ways. You can sell ad space, work on affiliate marketing deals, or charge for guest posts. The main challenge with blogging is staying committed to a long-term side hustle. You need to show up every day, even when you don't feel like it. To make sure that you stay on track, try setting up a publishing schedule where you plan out your posts for the next month or even year. Focus on creating quality content that your audience will appreciate, and you'll be on your way to a successful blog.
 Teaching English
If you're bilingual, teaching English online can be a simple way to bring in a little extra cash. There are several websites where you can sign up and create a profile, including VIP Kid, Verbal World, and Cactus Language. After you've signed up, you can select which hours you're available to teach and how much you charge per hour. VIP Kid provides one additional way to make money on the site: online bonuses. As a teacher, you'll be expected to complete certain activities or lessons each week, to improve your fluency in the language you're teaching. In addition to your normal pay, you'll be able to earn extra money by meeting these goals. VIP Kid has an online community of both teachers and students, so you can also make friends and find social opportunities through the platform.
 Online Surveys
If you're looking for a quick and painless way to earn extra money, online surveys are a great option. You can find survey websites on sites like Indeed or FlexJobs. You can also use a general search engine to locate survey websites like MySurvey, Toluna, and InboxDollars. When you find a site that interests you, sign up and create a profile. This typically involves entering your demographic information, as well as any qualifications you might have (e.g., if you're a stay-at-home mom, you might want to select that as a qualification). Each site has different payment schemes, so make sure you understand how much you'll earn per survey before signing up for a site. When you begin taking surveys, you'll want to make sure that you're completing multiple surveys a day. You'll never know which survey site is going to send you a big check, so don't rely on any one source of income. Surveys also come and go, so try to diversify your portfolio over several different sites if possible.
Get paid to test apps earn up to 25$ per app review
 Become an online apprentice
If you have an area of expertise that you'd like to make money from, consider signing up to be an online apprentice with a website like Expertise. On this platform, you'll find opportunities to teach people in your field of expertise in exchange for money. Some of the most popular categories include health and wellness, marketing, and technology. When you sign up, you'll be able to select which specific opportunities you're interested in. You'll then be sent potential opportunities to review and choose from. Some online apprenticeships may only require that you send your expertise in a recorded video, while others might want you to meet with your students in person. You might also be required to submit written work or other examples of your work to prove that you're qualified for the position.
 Affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketing is a great side hustle because you can earn money by recommending products that you love. You can find products to recommend through sites like Amazon, ClickBank, and Etsy. To make money with affiliate marketing, you have to be able to meet three qualifications: traffic, conversions, and a margin. First, you need to have a website that draws visitors. You can use a blog or social media to drive traffic to your site. Next, you need to be able to drive people to the products that you recommend. This is often done through an affiliate link. Once a visitor clicks through your affiliate link and completes a purchase, you'll receive a percentage of that sale as a commission.
Conclusion
Starting a side hustle is a great way to bring in extra income. It doesn't matter what type of side hustle you do, as long as you do something that's interesting to you and that you can see yourself doing for a long time. If you're struggling to find something to do, don't be afraid to try something new. This is an opportunity to try new things, be creative, and find something that you love doing.

Teach Spanish to kids online with a Spanish tutor
Tumblr media
Whenever you factor in a pandemic, learning a new language is difficult enough without having to deal with the additional difficulties of raising children in a foreign language. Although there are drawbacks to virtual learning for some, many others find it to be equally as beneficial as in-person training when done correctly. Finding the finest services and qualified Spanish tutoring that is a good match may be the most difficult element of online learning. Among the most popular languages for children to study in the United States today is Spanish, which is spoken everywhere from the streets of Madrid to the slopes of the Andes.
The language of Spanish is indeed the second most widely spoken in the world, according to recent census statistics. Spanish is spoken by more people on the planet than English, with 387 million native speakers. There are countless chances for Spanish speakers all around the world!
Children can learn online more efficiently
It is not an exception rather than the rule to learn Spanish online. The possibility to build communication skills with such a representative from a different cultural setting will arise if you utilize different video calling tools for learning Spanish. As a result of the rising demand for online Spanish tutoring, an increasing number of them are popping up all over the world.
Even if the tutor's knowledge corresponds to the essential variables, the lack of relevant experience may result in unintended results. Because of their inexperience, a highly educated instructor, for example, may have difficulty communicating the content to students. In order to gain all of the points in grasping difficult ideas in the language, this area is critical.
Pick the best tutor
Your tutor should be able to communicate in English in addition to Spanish. Having difficulties in learning a new language without understanding the subject matter in your native language is the issue here once more, as stated before in this paragraph (English in this case). Accordingly, an English-speaking teacher's ability to communicate effectively in English is critical in explaining and delving into the ideas of many subjects, such as grammar and public speaking.
As soon as you have selected a Spanish tutoring service, you may begin discussing the details of your Spanish sessions with him or her. In order to make constructing a lesson plan easier for your tutor, it is helpful if you have a clear aim in mind before beginning. Make sure to think about how often you'd want them to meet with your children and how long you'd like each session to go before hiring someone. In the future, you may always change your requirements by consulting with your instructor.

That's true you're so good at trafficking Star for the past 4 years straight. Why don't you traffic her back to her legal biological father?! Idiot!
https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=591477395529168&id=302790013065190&m_entstream_source=timeline&ref=bookmarks
San Diego Islamic Center, lecture. The rights of a Muslim before and after his death. This Islamic center has very scholarly lectures almost every day.
I just move from one surrogate daughter to the next but the only difference is Star is a mahram that is family members that you are forbidden to marry because they are your close relatives as defined in the Qur'an. But a surrogate daughter i may have found Quechua girls like Star's second cousin Tatiana and her next door neighbor Mylee, ever since non mahram (girls i can technically marry) play surrogate daughter with me, i feel more emotional balance. As a man should feel emotional balance when a beautiful Quechua teenage girl is having ordinary conversational spanish with me. So my having the 22 year old in Huaraz as a surrogate daughter she was a school teacher, then i learned to converse with the help of google translate better, and met a new teenage Quechua surrogate daughter, and another, "we can have a sales team" Gladis he can do that, put a NOW HIRING TEENAGE QUECHUA CHICAS sign on me head, and form a sales team
Come to Sandy Utah and kill Michael Tahan and Gladis and their Mormon kidnapper adoption club from their Sandy kidnapper adoption club church ward, kill all of you low life motherfuckers at once when you are at church!
What do you do next, you two faced satanic bruja??! Delincuentes? What is Coca familia de delincuentes doing next? When is Jose Felix in his office? Sandy Park, West Jordan used auto sales. Now i'm a hit man and my kill list is you.
...Secuestrador delincuente mentiroso...why don't you stop trafficking my daughter Star Monique Angel Gonnerman? Send her back to Kurt Gonnerman her legal biological father in Ciudad Tacna....Secuestrador delincuente mentiroso...white collar criminal meth ring. Jose Felix, Tamara and Enrique, Danny and Charro, Gladis Michael Emily and Natalie and Hayley, all Morir, Carlos and Pocha, Raquel Coca and Dave Jenson, all Morir! Nick Boyd Joseph Taylor, Elizabeth Monica Coca, Morir! Ameen!
> > We get out the social networking apps in the covid19 era. You can go ahead and traffic Star Monique Angel Gonnerman to her legal and biological father. All the extended family, including grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins on both sides of the family, are jealous predatory vultures. And experienced criminals and participants in crime ring.
> > >
> > > We get out social networking app, return to core components. Core syntax (la ilaha illallah the Word of salvation that you disbelieve in so you will fail for sure). Virtual classroom. Sales floor. Girl scout daisy brownie troop, where i teach girls mostly, ages 3 to 19, about starting your life over from scratch. After walking away from narcissistic Christian pagan child abusers Lizard Humanoid priests of V2K DEW , and children love it. It's like an interesting Japanese cartoon to them my life is an anime cartoon to them. And we learn criminal law and detective skills, product research, criminology, criminal psychology everything is masters 505 level, every one of my lectures is a contribution to many sciences maintain the fitrah turning to Allah Alone. Unlike Mormon polytheist priests of shirk, priests of sihr DEW V2K, who believe not in accountability for wrong doing, and don't believe in Allah and the Day of Resurrection.
Joseph Taylor and Mexican FES Sniper hitman fuck each orher and smoke meth together faggot...
I'm here to compete over custody of other people's little girls! Build my family image. Because i am more emotionally attached to other people's children than the biological parents so the children are mine. This isn't kidnapping it is rescuing and nurturing my hero complex. Gladis Raquel Charro and Milagros are materialistic cunts. Come fight me workaholic slave. Find a work mule to serve you.
Star Monique Angel Gonnerman is not property of the kidnapper extortionist Coca family. Her aunts and uncles, and her deported mother Elizabeth Monica Coca do not own her. Star owes them nothing!
The virus is a manufactured terrorism, and the vaccine is a manufactured terrorism. I'm like "i will handle your manufactuered virus without your manufactured vaccine". Really i'm making conversation, while i talk to you and charge up on coveting other people's children vibes. So i charge up on your kidnapper vibes, and then round up more students, on and offline.
Here to covet other people's seven and eight year old girls. Because Raquel Jenson said age eight is when girls (like my kidnapped daughter Star Monique Angel Gonnerman) can make their own religious decisions.
Well i can't make children when i'n surrounded by mormon snakes vipers and vermin. I'm a mammal.
Or Elizabeth Monica was pimped out by her mother, and her mother chose who she stayed with
This is happy home industries, not gaslighting gangstalker predatory cannibal Christian Freemason sadistic economic and psychological abuse dysfunctiinal family of sociopath murderers, who look perfect on Sunday morning. And their house and carpet is perfectly clean, after they clean the blood of their murder victims of course.
Pentecostals and Mormons have a fear of a Lone Ranger visiting their community with strange ideas. Are those strange ideas to you, the Truth, and Law, and Word, and Islam? They are afraid one person will bring Islam to their community of shirk and sihr, polytheist black magic sorcerer priests priestesses of lies abuse extortion and deceit?
Todd loves cyberstalker US war college veterans who kill the biological parent for not having an income or a Mormon priesthood, or doesn't keep a clean house. So that child must be sold into prostitution for Catholic Omaha Boy's Town, or meth mule and human trafficking with the Mormon church. And Todd pretends to care about suicide prevention. And then he turns around and behaves like the authoritarian white collar criminal pedosadist rings who kidnap these children with help of CPS child welfare services San Diego for example. Todd is okay with those people taking their side saying "you don't have an income" and i don't have a network of pedosadist Epstein prison mansion-cage Todd. Be sure to point out i don't have a network of Mormon Epstein child prison mansion cages.
Let the Muslims see what it is like to be the only one in a community of 1000's who learned "la ilaha illallah" and believed it, and embraced Islam. verses the Nebraskan family and friends, 100's or 1000's of people i knew, rejected the Word, la ilaha illallah. And it leaves me with no social support from the place i was born, because they reject rhe Word and they reject people who believe the Word "la ilaha illallah"
I say "la ilaha illallah" all Todd hears is Pee Wee Herman's song "connect the dots, la la la la la" like Todd has a satan devil screaming in his ear when i say "la ilaha illallah" and makes it sound like when Pee Wee Herman says "...la la la la la" so i think Todd's jinn imitates Pee Wee Herman and censors reality with Pee Wee Herman voice over screaming in his head, to drown out the Word "la ilaha illallah"

Like Michael and Gladis Tahan. Offer to babysit their child. Turn the child against their parents who are working while you are brainwashing the child to love you, and hate their own parents. With your Mormon Epstein real estate mansion, child holding cage. Real estate human trafficker mafia houses.
Michael and Gladis Tahan mafia houses for Mormon Epsteins.
This money isn't stopping Star from being abused and lied to and it serves your interests, i don't believe you love me or Star your actions and lying show that you hate Star and I and have a big jealousy problem, and your friends are the wrong crowd they are shit friends! You are friends with a gang of white collar criminal, child peddling nobodies! (Kathy and Joe Link, who abused Star Monique Angel Gonnerman, before selling her off to the Mormon religious crime ring. Like a real Boy's Town Omaha employee).

Islamic foundation of Lincoln.
I had a trigger memory of being sent to 20 th century job so my wife can go fuck a gang and use them to help kidnap my daughter.
Mid June i had the Delta variant for 50 hours, and the antibodies from the P1 variant for 5 - 6 weeks must have softened the impact of Delta variant. But you need to have the remedies ready. Esoecially fever reducers, and the vitamin D fortified milk powder to make warm milk with, if your heart starts racing. Because vitamin D sheds the virus from attaching to heart and lung cells, which causes the racing heart. So hot water with a lot of vitamin d fortified milk, is what stops the heart from freaking out. And then Paracetamol (is that tylenol?) a fever reducer but in a high dose. Taken at regular intervals or maybe slightly more than the recommended dose. And a high amount of gatorade, because drinking coca cola can end you up in the ICU like it did me, in Arequipa, because of electrolyte disturbances.
I haven't been worried about getting a vaccine yet, because i haven't heard of anything worse than the Delta variant which i already had. And i am experienced enough with self treatment, and my immune system has learned to fight covid19 also, after 3 or 4 times. In July i may have even had the Epsilon variant.

Video on Kurt Gonnerman profile talking about kidnappers Jose Felix CPS and FBI.
Baby peddlers Boy's Town Omaha archdiocese sold my daughter to ICE when the mother Elizabeth Monica Coca was paired up quickly with a war vet husband Joseph Taylor to groom Star Monique Angel Gonnerman when she was taken out of school at age 12 and has been kidnapped since 2017
don't mind if i make a complete farce out of Boy's Town and your white collar child peddling gang of middle aged to nearly elderly to elderly delincuentes. Under the guise of foster care, and church and state child protection agencies. Because i want to "turn it around into what i want it to be" where my daughter isn't being forced to be a drug mule for a war vet, and she is telling a CPS worker Joe Link sexually abused her. Then what am i going to turn this around into? You have all the power idiot, do your worst before you go be fuel for Hell with your gaslighting gangstalking mother! He doesn't keep a good house, sell the child to prostitution. You're a baby peddler! And yo mama is a baby peddler for Boy's Town, Omaha Archdiocese!

I got pretty angry with my mama just then. Because it's like Boy's Town Catholic archdiocese is one child peddling crime ring. And Mormons are a child trafficking ring. And family values are like a Catholic orphanage. Abuse the child sexually before sending them off to another orphanage or white collar criminal crime ring.
This is Happy Home Industries, verses Dysfunctional Mormon Epstein real estate, mansion network of child holding cages. Happy Home industries takes them to Madinah, and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I don't know or care where, besides pedophile Island and Cancun, that Mormon Epstein takes the children
Offer to babysit their children often. Turn the child against the boring biological parent who trusted you with the infant or child. Take newborn infant to church like Gladis and Michael Tahan and discuss with other kidnapper adoptees, this infant you were trusted with to babysit. Then you take the infant to kidnapper adoptee religious club.
The FBI is helping crime franchises take over your family. FBI is not prosecuting the organised criminals. They are helping them, and the organised criminals are military trained murderers in suits and ties. So at least Todd doesn't fit that description. Or does he? Todd are you hiding a 3 piece suit amd a DEW V2K (voice to skull) gun around here?
Telemarketing, interest base. These emotional flare ups are due to DEW, energy directed weapons. This is not only a biological war of manufactured viruses, but a neurological mind control war, with psychotronic directed energy DEW guns V2K voice to skull, and that helps you?
I used to say rich terrorists enter a masjid, and bribe everyone to be agents and informants for them. Terrorists since 2014 or so, have paid to turn biology labs and neurology and psychology labs, into stockpiles of exotic neurological weapons and manufactured viruses, HIV and covid19. At prestigious East Coast colleges, including U of North Carolina, Yale, and U of Connecticut. Hundreds of humans are forced into experimentation, just because they were on the faculty, or lived near the campus laboratory.
You talk into people's skulls too much to get your way. V2K voice to skull,
Singapore is highly vaccinated, and they still got a surge in ICU. So, wake up. The vaccines have hardly any effect on the delta variant. Even after just having P1 Brasil variant in February and March 2021, i got hit with this powerful India Delta variant in Mid June, and why did it still hit so hard if i just had covid19 two months earlier? After Delta variant, i felt i had sufficiemt amtibodies to fight off illness. Like i had to catch covid19 twice this year, to feel better.
9/30/2021 - 2,890+ #USA #Covid19 deaths reported totaling 716,847 #CoronaVirus deaths or an avg of 14,332 deaths/state. The top 22 states (10,000+ deaths) total 577,576. #COVIDー19
The news blame the death increase on the unvaccinated, but that is a lie. The Delta variant is sending large amounts of people to ICU, with or without a vaccine.

Are we still acting like retired 47 year olds, because we have a guaranteed monthly check from the US Government? Don't let that marriage fall apart Monica, you'll be a choro looking for a military vet to live off his check, and be your personal personnel hitman to nurture the black widow man hate from your schizo-effective disorder. So extended family members can bribe the mentally ill woman for parenting rights and send a hitman to the biological father, since Huanuco women murder the father of their child often anyway. The grandmothers are thug murderers, some grandmothers are pimp mafia cocane traffickers. Huanuco is the center of coca
Bribe a mentally ill woman for parenting rights. 5 years of deportation court appeals "wait there Kurt, i'm coming next month" for 60 months Elizabeth Monica Coca kept saying she was coming the next month until June 2018. Extended family members played this bribe the mentally ill woman, played that "he chose to leave" game.
UFOs kidnap our children by enticing them with iphones.

I don't know i just began to be a blossoming virologist, biologist, just before the pandemic in 2019, the months before September when i think i chased Monica and Joseph out of Lima, because an isis group, and a Mormon group was harassing and gangstalking and cyberstalking me especially on the whatsapp since January 2018, that i decided i was going to go find some of these people who had kept me hiding in Ancash around the Parque Huascaran, cities of Huaraz, Chavin, San Marcos, Hauri, and Huacaybamba.
In Huari i began to become a blossoming scientist from reading two books, Function Of the Orgasm, by Wilhelm Reich, where he explains how every single psychologist / psychoanalyst follower of Freud, failed to talk about the bioligical psychiatric effects of the orgasm as a process of life and purifying of toxins. To the sequel Cancer, a Shrinking Bioapthy...i'll come back with the name soon. But it's a book on how cancer and psychiatric problems originate in early pre and post natal care.
.
So my dream as a scientist, following the tradition of Wilhelm Reich infant care trust. Based on his findings that major psychiatric problems are the result of cultural errors, in how a society blindly follows traditions in pre and post natal care and childbirth, and also in their views of religion and attitudes towards sex, it creates a generational abuse because they follow the same blind tradition of harmful errors in pre and post natal care and child birth. So by 2020 i was already applying what i learned and mom and i helped a Venezuelan baby before and after childbirth. We made donations and helped with hospital bills. Alhamdulillah. May Allah bless Ana Camila, Venezuelan born in Arequipa in the pandemic, Ameen.
You stupid gang delinquent don't know more than me just because you have more, Gladis. Your family is large, but your heart black and rotton with parasite worms from Churacan water well...you have heartworm?
You think you know more than me because you have more. I already passed Delta variant, and i think Epsilon, and now USA is finally getting the Delta variant.
I had a large can of powder milk fortified with Vitamin D, and when i felt like i was having a heart attack and my heart was racing, i drank really warm milk with that powder in really warm water.
A spoon full of half turmeric (palillo) and half spicy red pepper, and then start to chew on it, and sip it down with olive oil That is how you stop from choking to death on covid19. And raw slices of ginger root, that's how the Quechua in Cerro Colorado and i survived, Kión (ginger).
Racing heart and a feeling of pinching or poking on the heart and lungs is the virus attaching to cells. And vitamin D from the very warm water with Vitamin D fortified milk powder, stops the heart attack.
Paracetemol (tylenol) 500mg at its regular intervals, and staying very still, and dabbing cold water on your head to keep the fever down. People probably panic because you may not be able to sleep for 48 hours, because you constantly have to stop breathing fits, heart attacks, and overheating by fever. And you can't drink coca cola because covid19 creates electrolyte disturbances in the blood, you have to drink gatoraid and ginger lemon orange grapefruit chamomile and echinacea
The vaccine dowsn't work on Delta variant, so also focus on immune system. Soup made with beef of chicken bone boiled in the soup.

San Diego Islamic Center, live stories of the Prophets
Islam is not organised religion like Christian denominations. It is a pile of ancient books in Arabic, and then thousands and thousands of groups start Islamic centers and muslim communities form. And sometimes they are infiltrated with terrorism, or like now in Tacna, sometimes they are not invaded by foreign terrorist groups, in the name of the same religion. But there is no central office or authority,
which means, i don't have to answer to anyone at all, while making decisions There is no heirarchy of power, no spiritual foundation of authoritarian priests who don't understand even basic laws and morals, nor practice them. Especially in family and business,
So you have communities where the church heirarchy also destroys the family. And you accept it like brainwashed animals. You stay in that terrible church and let it destroy you. Or stay in Omaha with the predatory Bar & Lawyer's Association of sadistic child predators.

That's why your boyfriend resembles Emiliano and Danny. Because their mother chased off the father with an organised Mormon crime ring, and kidnapped the child, and told them the father abandoned them. You are in a church ward of kidnapper adoptees and black widows. The meth route for white collar criminal Mormon white trash, is Tijuana, Chula Vista, Sandy Utah. For white collar kidnapper adoptees, and black widows who murder the father of their children. That's your suppprt group Star, is kidnapped agnostic suicidal Mormon children who cut themselves.
Why is Star's boyfriend still grooming Star for a custody hearing with abuse? "your parents don't care about you" ? This boyfriend and the mother is part of the kidnapping crime ring. When the parent who pays to have Star abused, is the one who helped arrange for Star to have an abusive boyfriend from their crime ring Mormon church!
Star's boyfriend was also trained to gaslight his estranged or murdered father in honor of his black widow mom? Like Danny, son of Charro (Rosaria Rodriguez) and his black widow gaslighting man hater mother and Emiliano how he taught Star how to gaslight her own father. And say "you abandoned me" and the Mormons keep abusive boyfriends or cousins near Star Monique Angel Gonnerman, to always tell her that her parents don't care about her. When this is only true about the deported mother Elizabeth Momica Coca and not myself the estranged father, Kurt Gonnerman.

US death toll from coronavirus hits 200,000 (AP) The U.S. death toll from the coronavirus topped 200,000 Tuesday, by far the highest in the world, hitting the once-unimaginable threshold six weeks before an election that is certain to be a referendum in part on President Donald Trump’s handling of the crisis. The number of dead is equivalent to a 9/11 attack every day for 67 days. It is roughly equal to the population of Salt Lake City or Huntsville, Alabama. Worldwide, the virus has infected more than 31 million people and is closing in fast on 1 million deaths, by Johns Hopkins’ count, though the real numbers are believed to be higher.
Trump Demands U.N. Hold China to Account for Coronavirus Pandemic (NYT) President Trump assailed China as the coronavirus villain Tuesday in a strongly worded United Nations speech, extolling his own actions in the pandemic and demanding that the global organization hold accountable “the nation which unleashed this plague onto the world.” Mr. Trump’s speech--made via prerecorded video to a General Assembly that was drastically curtailed because of the pandemic--was followed by a recorded speech from President Xi Jinping of China, who called the coronavirus a crisis shared by everyone. Offering no hint of contrition, Mr. Xi portrayed his nation of 1.4 billion people as having acted responsibly to combat Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus. Taken together, the speeches by the American and Chinese presidents, broadcast from the world’s biggest diplomatic forum, punctuated the growing schism between the two superpowers during Mr. Trump’s first term, which has raised alarms about a new cold war. “Each of these leaders sees flexibility as weakness, and the ability to make concessions is the essence of diplomacy,” said Orville Schell, director of the Center on U.S.-China Relations at the Asia Society. “So they’re at continued loggerheads. It’s a very alarming downward spiral.”
As Schools Go Remote, ‘Lost’ Students (NYT) One month into the school year, Linnet Early, a social studies teacher outside St. Louis, has an anxious new ritual: scanning the Zoom squares on her computer screen at the beginning of each class to see which of her sixth-grade students are missing. It is usually quite a few. “I’ll have kids gone for a week, pop in for one class the next, then miss the second class that week,” said Ms. Early, who has 100 mostly low-income students spread across eight classes, all online. “It’s hard to know what their struggles are, how to wrap your arms around it.” Around the country, teachers and school administrators are hoping that a patchwork of plans cobbled together over the summer will help address one of the most pressing challenges they face as millions of students start a new school year online: How to make sure they come to virtual class, and what balance to strike between punitive and forgiving policies if they don’t. Attendance data from last spring, while limited, suggests that the problem loomed large in many districts after school buildings closed in mid-March. In one survey of 5,659 educators around the country, 34 percent of respondents said that no more than one in four students were attending their remote classes, and a majority said fewer than half their students were attending. Disengagement was especially high in poorer communities, including many urban school systems. In Seattle, elementary school students logged into the learning portal less than half of the time, on average. And in Los Angeles, the nation’s second-largest school system, a quarter of students were not logging in at all in May.
Mexico’s López Obrador takes aim at his predecessors (Washington Post) For decades, Mexico’s presidents have handed over power peacefully at the end of their six-year terms. And in contrast to some of their Latin American counterparts, they have been left alone to pursue quiet, comfortable retirements, free of the fear of being held accountable for any misdeeds they might have committed while in office. Now President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is threatening to shatter that tradition, accusing his five immediate predecessors of corruption or unfair economic policies--and seeking public approval to bring them to justice. The 66-year-old populist is asking Mexico’s Senate to back a national referendum on the effort and petitioning the Supreme Court to rule on whether such a vote would be constitutional. “This is not about persecution,” López Obrador told reporters this month. “I am not vengeful and I have no personal problems with them. But I cannot keep silent.” López Obrador won office in 2018 on pledges to fight official corruption and repudiate the neoliberal economic policies of the previous two decades.
Finland to deploy coronavirus-sniffing dogs at Helsinki Airport (Washington Post) Finland is set to launch a pilot program involving coronavirus-sniffing dogs at Helsinki Airport on Wednesday, amid hopes that dogs could come to play a key role in screening for the virus. The voluntary canine tests will deliver results within 10 seconds and require less than a minute of travelers’ time, said Anna Hielm-Björkman, a researcher at the University of Helsinki who is using the trial to gather data. Researchers in other countries, including the United States and the United Arab Emirates, are studying canine coronavirus tests. But the Finnish trial is among the largest in scale and farthest along. In Dubai, health officials this summer began using dogs to analyze sweat samples from randomly selected air travelers, with more than 90 percent accuracy, according to initial results. Changes in health can affect the way people smell, researchers say. Dogs have long been valued for their ability to sniff for drugs and bombs, and have also proved able to detect cancers, infections and other health problems.
Madrid pleads for more doctors, police as coronavirus cases surge (Reuters) Authorities in Spain’s Madrid region on Wednesday requested urgent help to hire hundreds of foreign doctors and reinforce police, as they mulled widening a partial coronavirus lockdown to more areas as cases rise. The region is the hardest-hit in Spain by a second wave of the coronavirus and has restricted movement between and within some districts that are home to about 850,000 people. Ignacio Aguado, the deputy head of the regional government, told reporters the region needed 300 doctors from outside the European Union who had worked in the first wave of the pandemic, but could not hire them immediately due to complex regulations. On Monday, the region asked central government for help from the army to fight the coronavirus surge in and around the Spanish capital, where the partial lockdown of some poorer areas has prompted protests.
Alexei Navalny released from German hospital after 32 days (AP) The German hospital treating Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny for poisoning said Wednesday that his condition improved enough for him to be released, and suggested a “complete recovery” from the nerve agent was possible. Navalny, 44, spent 32 days in treatment in Berlin’s Charite hospital, 24 of which were in intensive care, before doctors deemed his “condition had improved sufficiently for him to be discharged from acute inpatient care.”
Considerate protesters (Washington Post) Demonstrations in Minsk and other cities calling for the ouster of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who claims he won reelection last month despite alleged vote-rigging, are in their seventh week. The rallies represent the greatest challenge yet to Lukashenko’s 26-year grip on power, but rather than cause damage, as many other revolutions have done, Belarus’s has been uniquely considerate. Streets are pristine even after mass demonstrations. Protesters have been seen taking off their shoes before standing on public benches, not wanting to dirty them. If traffic isn’t blocked off and a crowd of thousands is marching down a road, it will still stop and obey a red light.
Greece and Turkey ready to talk (Foreign Policy) On Tuesday, Greek and Turkish officials agreed to resume talks for the first time in four years in order to try to resolve their long-running dispute in the eastern Mediterranean. Officials did not say when talks would begin, but preparations are underway and they could start as early as the end of the month. Both countries have a wide gap to bridge. Greece and Cyprus have been pushing the European Union to take a tougher stance on Turkey, and Cyprus recently scuttled plans by the bloc to sanction Belarusian leaders over its unwillingness to apply similar pressure to Turkey.
Zambia’s debt (Foreign Policy) Zambian President Edgar Lungu’s government said that it was seeking “the suspension of debt service payments for a period of six months” from private creditors holding around $3 billion in international bonds, possibly making Zambia the first African country to default on its debt due to the coronavirus pandemic. Zambia has been hurtling toward a debt crisis for months. In July, the Wall Street Journal reported that government debt was on course to surpass 100 percent of the country’s gross domestic product this year, rooted in economic pressures that far predated the pandemic. But Zambia is one of several African countries suffering from a heavy burden of debt, and if its default represents the first in a string of similar cases, it could be disastrous for countries across the developing world.

New story in Politics from Time: Reluctantly, Jill Biden Steps Onto Stage As a Potential First Lady
This article is part of the The DC Brief, TIME’s politics newsletter. Sign up here to get stories like this sent to your inbox every weekday.
Jill Biden knows her political value to her husband’s presidential bid. She is a former Second Lady of the United States and is second to none in her ability to introduce Joe Biden as a multi-dimensional human being, when he is often reduced to caricature. She had taken on some of the portfolio previously filled by the late Beau Biden, especially in letting the former Vice President talk through an issue he already had decided on. She is the gut check when her husband is getting sloppy, cocky or glum. The Jill Biden of 2020 is now fully integrated into the family business she married-into back in 1977.
Dr. Biden’s speech tonight at the Democrats’ virtual convention will re-introduce her to the country. It may be a template as to how she would serve as First Lady of the United States, or FLOTUS as the acronym goes. Unlike many of those who came before her, Dr. Biden hasn’t required a reboot or a makeover. From Day One of her husband’s campaign, she has presented herself as she wants to be seen. It’s not quite like a two-fer we got with Bill and Hillary Clinton in 1992, but we’re getting darned close to having a package deal. Having spent eight years in the White House bubble, Dr. Biden knows the paces. That doesn’t mean she’s entirely happy with them.
It’s no accident that she’ll be delivering her remarks live from the very Wilmington, Del., classroom where she taught in the early ‘90s. Around this time last year, after some back and forth as her husband was mid-campaign, the longtime teacher decided that she would return to the classroom for the Fall 2019 semester and her students these days Northern Virginia Community College in suburban D.C. When Winter 2020 came around — with the Biden bid looking like it was in trouble and might turn into a third failure for Joe Biden — Dr. Biden decided to take a sabbatical of sorts and spend her hours in the front of town halls, not writing seminars. It was the first time in close to 40 years she wasn’t carrying around papers to grade.
Dr. Biden — never Mrs. Biden, a title reserved for Joe Biden’s first, late wife — started keeping a public schedule that was busier than her husband’s, did solo fundraising calls and hired a few more hands to help manage what was increasingly becoming its own political campaign. Her travel schedule was packed and, unlike her husband, she wasn’t taking a private jet to the stops. All the while, she made clear that politics wasn’t for her. In Iowa last year, she told the story how, in 2003, she made a point of walking past a group of Democrats who were trying to get Joe Biden to seek the nomination over a meeting by their home pool. Her outfit: a bikini with the word “no” written on her belly. She’d be there when he ran, but don’t expect her to like it.
Over the last few months, as coronavirus has shifted what it means to campaign, Dr. Biden has kept up that series of public-facing events. Behind the scenes, aides say, she was instrumental in resolving differences in the party platform on education, negotiating a compromise between her husband’s education efforts and those of his former rivals who were further to the Left and pushing free-college-for-all.
The Biden campaign also made Dr. Biden the conduit for unconvinced members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus to vent their frustrations with the Obama-Biden Administration, especially on deportations. She has even started studying Spanish to show respect. She also has developed a deft touch in helping raise support among LGBT voters — a far cry from what I saw one evening following her around a gay bar in Des Moines, Iowa, where she declared it her first such visit. (The campaign later corrected that to note she and the former V.P. had visited the Stonewall Inn in New York City previously.)
Perhaps her biggest thumbprint on the campaign is her role in advising on Sen. Kamala Harris as the V.P. pick. A close friend of their late son, Beau, Harris knew she was interviewing with both of his parents. Harris did a joint cyber-event with Dr. Biden during the process and both women felt good about the outcome. Aides do nothing to downplay Dr. Biden’s role in the selection.
“She’s the first person to talk to him when they wake up and the last one to talk to him before they go to bed. It’s a marriage, so of course, they talk about these things,” says Michael LaRosa, a former MSNBC producer who these days is Dr. Biden’s press secretary.
Her speech tonight at the virtual convention is in her way a milestone on what might be understood as “Jilly 2020,” to borrow the V.P.’s nickname for her. In an introductory video reviewed by TIME, the former Vice President leans into his wife’s identity as an educator. “Teaching is not what Jill does. It is who she is,” Joe Biden says. “Jill just simply cares.”
If Biden does win, don’t expect Dr. Biden to trade the classroom for an office in the West Wing office, a la Hillary Clinton. Dr. Biden taught all eight years that her family lived at V.P.’s mansion at One Naval Observatory Circle. Her small motorcade delivered her to Northern Virginia Community College and her Secret Service detail dressed as students. When students recognized the name, she would simply say that Joe Biden is a relative. If students wouldn’t let up, she’d remind them that she was their teacher while she was on campus. Even as she worked at the White House on issues facing military families, she often flew on government jets with piles of homework to review. In one case, President Barack Obama stopped to say hello to her while the pair flew to a community college in Michigan, only to find her with a red Sharpie in hand. Michelle Obama told an interviewer in 2016 that she often forgot that Dr. Biden still had a day job.
Dr. Biden has said she would return to campus even if her husband prevails. Professor FLOTUS would be a new one, but Dr. Biden has shown that while she respects norms and ceremony, she’s not one to be limited by them. On the eve of the New Hampshire primary, we were in a school gym in Manchester when a man started to heckle the former V.P. Dr. Biden rose from her seat 28 second later, walked around the stage and physically blocked the interruption. A month later, Dr. Biden grabbed the wrists of vegan protesters who had jumped onto stage in Los Angeles. Her explanation? “I’m a good Philly girl,” Dr. Biden told reporters.
Let’s see what that Philly girl brings to her biggest political night yet.
Make sense of what matters in Washington. Sign up for the daily D.C. Brief newsletter.
