"Mi amor."

Hiram purred into my ear to wake me up. Which worked, I rolled over and snuggled into his arms.

"Buen día, mi amor."

I spoke into his chest.

"Did Ronnie wake up yet?"

"He did, and I warmed the bottle as you told me to. He even burped when you said he would."

Hiram chuckled as he recalled his early morning.

"Did you go for your run yet?"

"No. It was still early, and you looked so lonely."

He pulled me closer to him, putting his head in my neck. I hum and held his arms as my back was to his chest.

"How about you get ready for your run? There will be food ready for you when you get back."

Hiram responded first with a big kiss on my cheek.

"That sounds like a deal. Mi angel eres demasiado buena para mi."

He kisses me again but on my lips. He's out of bed pretty fast, the morning person he is. I roll over and try to wipe the sleep away from my eyes.

I was feeding Ronnie from my breast at Hiram's insistence. He said he didn't want me to change anything from my routine without him. Just that he wanted to be involved. It was sweet, but I was still uneasy about it since Veronica decided to have breakfast with us. Once I had finished feeding my baby, Hermine came in the apartment. We both greeted each other kindly, but her face remained stern. Since my being here, her and Hiram have been cross with each other. Me and V look at one another, knowing what was going to happen. She looks at her phone, texting someone before getting up to leave for school.

"Adios mi guapo mini yo."

She mumbled to Ronnie and kissed his head. She says bye to her mom and dad before completely leaving the home. With Ronnie asleep, it was easy to hear the private conversation between the married couple.

"You are not taking this seriously."

"I am taking this seriously. My priorities haven't changed, Hermine."

His wife sighs as he doesn't let her talk again. Instead, he gets up and greets his sleeping son. He kisses me on my forehead before mumbling his words.

"Como esta mi hombrecito guapo?"

"Él lo está haciendo bien. Comió bien así que estará durmiendo un rato."

I whisper back to him. He responds with a smile and kisses my lips.

"Volveré más tarde, no me esperes."

"Por supuesto mi amor."

He mumbles a bye to his son before giving him another kiss. He leaves behind Hermine after his goodbyes with a wave.

"I don't blame you, Anna."

Hermine spoke first. I looked up at her, shocked.

"I took him away from you. I gave him a new family to focus on. You should hate me."

I state sadly as I adjust Ronnie in my arms. When I first met Hiram, I didn't know about his family, but it didn't stop me when I found out either. It was impossible to leave him, especially when I found out I was having Ronnie.

"You would not be asking me to hate you if you did all that on purpose. I blame Hiram for putting you and your little boy in this mess."

She steps close and touches Ronnie's head softly. She smiled at him

"He looks just like Veronica did."

We both smile at the thought of our babies.

I was sitting on the picnic blanket Veronica bought for today. She had insisted on getting one that was perfect for Ronnie. I was bouncing my baby boy while Hermine made faces at him. V had found her friends and they decided to walk around the park and talk. There was some press conference being held by the mayor that Hiram wanted us all to be there for, so here we are.

"He looks very cute in this jacket."

"I know right! One of Veronica's friends got it for him. They said he needed to 'represent'."

I giggle with Hermine. I hear feet crunching on some dead leaves, looking up I expect Hiram but instead a find a man. An older handsome man. I could feel my jaw hang open before muttering a pathetic hello. He smiles back at me and shyly waves.

"Did you need something?"

Hermine asked giving him her business voice. The man doesn't look at her as he responds.

"No, no just checking out the little guys outfit. He looks mighty handsome."

He pointed out my baby's jacket. I blush under his gaze. He had a handsome smile.

"Thank you, it was a gift actually."

"Awe shoot, this the little man Jughead was talking about. Now I'm thinking I should have asked more questions about mama."

The way he said 'mama' sent shivers up and down my spine, the same way when Hiram calls me 'Angel'. My cheeks heat up as he kneels down getting a better look at my baby.

"They sure are cute when their this small."

"You mentioned, Jughead. Is he, is he your son?"

God help me if I find another gather attractive. The man smile a proud smile that I see on Hiram's when he talks about his children.

"Yes, Jughead is my boy. If you couldn't tell by our dashing good looks."

He jokes making me laugh. My laugh triggers Ronnie's giggles.

"I see little man takes after mama."

I open my eyes after laughing to see his eyes on me and that dashing smirk that never leaves his face.

"I'm FP by the way."

"I'm Anna."

I smile as he doesn't reach out his hand asking for a handshake, like he knew I didn't like them. Harmine typed something on her phone and signaled she needed to go somewhere.

"I'll be fine."

I reassured her. She was hesitant, but one look at her phone reminded her how important what she needed to do was. Once she was away FP scooted onto the blanket next to me, pulling some leaves with him. Ronnie giggles at the crunching of the dead leaves.

"So, how do you know the Lodge's?"

I laugh as I was answering his question.

"I could ask you the same."

"You got me. We meet through very short business dealings."

I wince at his answer. With I sigh I bring the attention back on me and his original question.

"I don't know how to answer you question. It's,..."

"Complicated."

I smile and nodd at him, his eyes looking right back at me. I stared back at him enjoying his eyes on me.

"I'd imagine things get complicated around you."

I playfully scoff making Ronnie laugh.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

FP looks at Ronnie as if they were having a conversation but still talking to me.

"She knows what I'm talking about. Having a mama this hot draws a lot of attention I bet. Especially if she has you around."

I blush hard at his words.

"Awe, I made mama blush."

Ronnie giggles as he talks to FP. The man smiles enjoying the time with the baby. It made my stomach flutter. Until someone cleared their throat. We both look away from each other and Ronnie to look at who was wanting our attention. My smile falls when I see Hiram.

"Evening Lodge, how's the wife. Saw her earlier but business never stops for you guys."

FP laughs at his own joke. Hiram doesn't react. He just stares down FP like he was putting me in danger. I hadn't seen Hiram stare at someone like this since I was pregnant with Ronnie.

"Anna querida, la mía estaba buscando. Algo sobre un regalo para Ronnie."

"Oh, le encantará, estoy seguro. ¿No lo harás, muchacho?"

I speak to my baby making him laugh. I look up and find FP's eyes again.

"Creo que deberías acudir a ella en realidad. Estire las piernas."

My smile falters a little. He wasn't asking a question. But my smile picks up again. He probably just wants to go home he doesn't like being out of he can't dote on Ronnie the whole time. I gather Ronnie's things with him on my side.

"It was nice meeting you, FP."

"Nice meeting you too, doll face."

The nickname made me stutter and drop Ronnie's chupete. FP picked it up for me with that charming smirk of his.

"Gracias."

As I stand up I give him a wave and even make Ronnie wave bye. FP laughed and waved back. I smile and carry Ronnie to were Hiram gestured Veronica was waiting for me. Hiram never looked at me only FP. I felt bad that he was so irritated. Maybe I should have stayed home.

my big hater opinion of season 7 of riverdale is that it is a rlly good thematic conclusion to the show, and i Am enjoying it ya, but i think if ur mad bc they arent doing the tumblr postable "explaining the riverdale plot" over the top type storylines, you were NEVER really being pretentious about Riverdale.

if i put on the rocky horror show for a riverdale musical episode — like they put it on for the high school musical directed of course by kevin keller jughead would intro the episode with a spiel about how we’re going to explore the concept of sexual liberation. veronica would be gunning for the role of frank n furter due to ‘relating to his role of bringing the liberation of sexuality to those who desperately need it’ and also so she can feel up archie (playing rocky due to his thematic state as the object of other’s desires) and betty (playing janet natch) but a surprise move the role would go to reggie starting a fierce stage rivalry between the two so kevin gives her magenta. things get unexpectedly intense between archie and reggie during i can make you a man and theres a lot of awkward heavy tension and when reggie gets to do full costume sweet transvestite we keep cutting to archie’s awed vaguely horny face significantly and then later in the episode they cross cut between don’t dream it be it on stage and a tasteful archiebettyronniereggie foursome scene. toni is full butch drag king brad and she and betty make out rehearsing dammit janet. cheryl is playing columbia and is so mad about it and the episode cuts all the tap dancing. jughead of course is the narrator (of course) but he complains the whole time so they dont invite him to the foursome and he never finds out it happened. sweet pea is riff raff cause i like sweet pea but he and fangs (asst director) are hooking up behind kevins back and sing toucha toucha intercut with betty’s rendition. josie cant commit full time to the show so she plays eddie and outshines everyone forever. some of the parents try to get the show cancelled for being inappropriate for a high school musical (a la glee) and they are narratively treated as repressive unreasonable tyrants. at the end they all sing super heroes because it’s about the inherent depravity and darkness within humanity and the uncertainty/instability everpresent in our own existences and then someone’s like THERE’S A BOMB! (probably planted by hiram or a cult or a serial killer or something) so they all rush out of the gym just in time and it blows up the gym and smoke is everywhere a la the end of the movie and then we zoom out to a globe but it’s spinning so fast we can’t see where riverdale is. and narrator jughead is alone in a room and he knocks the globe over and says something about the dangers and delights of discovery but you can tell he’s just kind of mad about the foursome that happened without him.

Nightvale of course bristles against interlopers, but this time the discrimination is that they’re new in town, not that they’re anomalous. Progress! And obviously if Nightvale decides to keep them there’s not much the crew can do to leave, so eventually they might even settle into a proper place in the town. Having like actual jobs and homes is crazy for The Blade and Wilbur. They’re remarkable only insofar as they’re something new to gossip about, which is a game changer. Everyone is very skittish of Carlos at first bc of the Foundation, and would probably murder Dr. Janey Lubelle if she’s around when they’re there. The Dr. Blake vibe is just too much.

Tommy as an intern bc hello red shirt! In a purely goof sense I can just picture that because everything is so insanely dangerous, he can just try to pet Khoshekh at the end of each shift and The Blade is instantly summoned. This is how he gets a ride back home. Tommy is likely in the most in danger due to having minimal protection and being nosy. Immediately tries to break into the dog park because he wants to see puppers.

While happy to finally be able to walk in broad daylight, The Blade is NOT pleased with the government surveillance state and corruption and has declared war on the night vale city council. Him and Sheriff Sam are beefing hard. It’s ON SIGHT. There’s probably a plot where he tries to take down the Nightvale government and due to a random old law somehow ends up mayor and hates it. Excited to meet John Peters, you know, the farmer, and is extremely disappointed about the invisible corn. Not sure how a Huntokar and The Blood God meeting would go but I think they should. Like…a protector who is a destroyer, do you get me.

On the other hand, city council is really mad at Tubbo for all the forbidden secrets they’re just randomly stumbling across bc of the omnipresence of the swarms. Tubbo gets locked up in the radon canyon like every other day and Phil breaks them out whenever they get board of watching HBO. Tried to follow along with one of Earl Harlan’s cooking segments and got very disturbed, but Wilbur just followed the recipe not aware anything was abnormal. Plus in Tubbos’ backstory there IS an old woman Josie reference, so it’s possible they already know her and she has been using their honey in recipes for years.

Parallel between the faceless old woman who secretly lives in your home and the half faceless young man who secretly lives in no home is fascinating. She keeps leaving him like centipedes in his drawers or whatever and it just goes ‘oh nice a snack’ which probably irks her. Likes hanging with the glow cloud bc the ambient lighting stops the void, who is itself pretty chuffed with all the dead animal carcasses

Philza got a letter for jury duty during Hiram McDaniel’s trial and blew it off bc he was dealing with the Foundation. I think he’d be very chill with Josh Crayton, bonding over different forms and getting stuck in a form you didn’t plan on. Impressed with Tamika Flynn’s Librarian wrangling as a teen, though is more supportive of people growing and changing interests than Cecil dreaming of the glory days. And uhhh technically he’s responsible for the death of many nightvale interns since in chapter Phthalo I used wtnv interns to name Foundation employees. Possibly interesting implications if Chad Bowinger, Maureen Johnson, and Kareem Nazari went to work for the Foundation at some point…?

ALONE: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?

Mmmmh. As far as I know they were completely alone on the returning voyage from Apis Meet and the Mountain of Light.

The Seven had gone mad from the light and after recovering each left to a destination unknown. The former crew disbanded (except for the Pirate-Poet but that's another story)

They... do not handle solitude well. Loneliness they can go along with but complete, utter solitude... No. If not for the Violant that still stained the bendage that Morgan used to tend to Hiram's eyes and to escape the Light blindfolding themselves... They would have gone mad and probably, by now, they'd be a Drownie.

They'd never been alone again since they freed the Dreamer instead of killing them. Now Morgan is in constant, perpetual company of a Ghost of a Mirror...

FUTURE: What's the worst possible future for your OC? Are they taking steps to avoid that outcome? Are they even aware it's a possibility?

Hiram sucedees in his masterplan and Morgan will still be here, still broken, still undying in the 7th City. People keep coming and going in their life and each one keep way less and less and less and less of an impact. Days start to blur into years into decades into a few centuries. And they're still here. Chimes from the East slowly eroding their willpower, untill one day, they'll just be there only physically. All the desire and force either snuffed out or consumed by the Light.

Only one thing will remain, Stone's last words to them:

Reggie and Jughead friendship AND Veronica and Jughead friendship are both iconic bitchvsbitch friendships but in entirely different ways. Ronnie and Juggie are sorority sisters that are waging psychological warfare against each other as a sign of affection while Jughead is just objectively winning in his friendship with Reggie. Jughead gets a new scarf from Veronica and he's like FUCK and Archie's like hmm?? And Jugs like. Veronica is about to straight up murder me she's never been angrier in her life. This is probably because I claimed Hiram would make nfts of her if he thought he could get away with it. I'm right but still. Meanwhile Jughead will be lying down with his head on Reggie's stomach and look up from his phone only to state "what's it like being so utterly bitchless?" And Reggie is like "coming from YOU?!?" and Jughead will just raise an eyebrow and Reggie will say like "yeah okay. You have mad bitches*." And jughead's like "it's because I view them as people. You should try it some time"

Riverdale Rewatch 2024

I AM SO CONFUSED. I'm on season 3 episode 2...so we find out that they're playing that game thats like dungeons and dragons. Dilton is dead and Ethel had a siezure after Betty had a siezure and that girl from the farm was there for both. Ben just killed himself in the name of the game because he wanted to ascend....WILD. Mad Dog apparently DIED which I hope isn't true but who knows because now they're saying they're putting Archie in his spot. FP and ALICE slept together!!!!!!!!!! I'm excited about that. The parents got together and talked about "what happened years ago with the blue lips" MAAM WHAT????? Bughead is sleeping together in the bunker...little creepy but when you need a place to go, you go anywhere so I get it. Griffins and Gargoyles (very clever name) confuses the shit outta me because like Betty said it's like a cult. Poor Archie is still in jail and SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THAT HIRAM DIES! Also I HATE the warden. Still don't care for Veronica but I would love to go to a speakeasy. I feel like I'm not going to understand this season at all and I'm hoping I'm not going to stop watching like last time because this was the season I had stopped watching originally. OMG the fighting ring....also poor juaquin. (did i spell that right?) Someone please explain this season to me? Or just give me some spoilers because This is BANANAS.

I think he's too important to be depowered narratively but also Percival essentially took his slot and many of his vibes. Realistically Hiram should have Percivals powers because hes always been incredibly manipulative so mind control would be the natural fit. If we want to keep Percival and give Hiram something else shapeshifting could be fun because he would use it for so much evil. My gf also suggested a Veronica adjacent Rogue type power where he can syphon other peoples powers and use them himself. And I suppose given his S5 penchant for arson and bombs theres also always blowing shit up with his mind but thats somewhat less narratively interesting and too close to Cheryl.

After finding out that his palladium mines are contaminated with radioactive materials, Hiram Lodge decides to launch a new line of clothing with radioactive waste embedded in it in order to dispose of the waste and prevent his operation from being shut down by OSHA. He decides to capitalize on his status as a father to market himself as a feminist #girldad and sell the contaminated clothing as part of a multi level marketing scheme to the young women of Riverdale. The girls of Riverdale buy in immediately, and soon everyone is selling each other #girldad Hiram brand clothing. Polly Cooper is the top saleswoman in town and continually tries to convince Betty to buy in.

Veronica is mad that her father is using fake feminist clout to sell radioactive waste to the women of Riverdale, so she launches a counterattack with Toni. Toni starts a new clothing line that is ethically and sustainably sourced with #boymom branding and criticizes Hiram’s campaign for being facetiously feminist.

While all of this is happening, Jughead goes into the mines and tries to uncover the source of the radioactive waste to report to OSHA but ends up being poisoned himself. He experiences a hallucination where he walks through the wasteland of a nuclear bombing and makes several references to The Wasteland by TS Eliot.

At the end of the episode, all of the girls storm Hiram’s office with a Geiger counter while he meets with an OSHA agent and demonstrate that the clothing is radioactive. To finish putting him in his place, they all sing Hey Mama by David Guetta (ft. Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha). Hiram is forced to cancel his fashion line, and he throws a bottle of rum at the wall in anger.
