Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 10 analysis & Implications

Sarada vs Hidari & the Mangekyou of Sarada: As we know, the fight between the last survivors of the Uchiha lineage is approaching: Sarada & the Shinju of Sasuke. Sarada’ll face a Shinju that’s absorbed Sasuke’s chakra & powers, plus the power of the Ten Tails. It’ll undoubtedly be a fight that’ll offer one of the most impressive battle choreographies & 'll foster necessary character development as she faces a formidable enemy. The first time Sarada encounters Hidari, he automatically attacks with Chidori. Sarada dodges & counters with Chidori. This symbolic act kicks off the fight, as only two living people can execute Chidori: Sasuke & her. However, she’s confused; although it’s clear her opponent possesses Sasuke’s chakra & powers, Hidari isn’t Sasuke. (This topic’ll be addressed in another section of the post). Sarada holds one of the most important positions & stories in the manga, being the heroine of the story, heir to the Uchiha power, immune to omnipotence & possessor of the Mangekyō. Why have 10 chapters passed & nothing has been revealed about the Mangekyō? Even the rebirth of the Kyubi was revealed before the powers of the MS; the answer is simple: the abilities Kishimoto’ll grant Sarada in the Mangekyou’ll be convenient to the story’s context. When the power of that Mangekyō is discovered, it’ll be a pivotal axis that’ll mark a before & after in the narrative of Two Blue Vortex. The Mangekyou Sharingan is meant to be a decisive point in the plot. To contextualize, among the special abilities known so far in Mangekyou users, there are dangerous & high-level powers like Kotoamatsukami, Tsukuyomi & Kamui. Theoretically, Sarada should awaken with the Mangekyou two special abilities (they can be both new & those already mentioned, for example, Itachi & Sasuke had Amaterasu in common), in addition to the Susanoo (considering the divine weapons of Susanoo). The Sharingan is a dōjutsu of Ōtsutsuki lineage that comes from the Rinne-Sharingan; it was Indra Ōtsutsuki who awakened & bequeathed this ability to the Clan descended from him, the Uchiha Clan. It’s important to highlight that, with just the Sharingan three tomoe, definitive techniques like Izanagi, a technique based on Hagoromo’s Banbutsu Sōzō no Jutsu, & Izanami, both Kinjutsus characteristic of the Uchiha clan, could be used.

The last thing to discuss in this section (which’ll likely generate antagonistic opinions in the fandom) is the fact that, observing how events are unfolding in chapter 10, where Kawaki had (and was the only one who could) intervene in Himawari’s fight against Jura, the complexity of these enemies, representing not just an individual but a collective problem, being a monthly manga & mainly, the way Boruto is (and has always been) emotionally involved with Sarada, I wouldn’t be surprised if, sooner or later, he joins in Sarada vs. Hidari. He knows the danger these enemies pose & won’t hesitate to support the fight. Only two people have, on an emotional level, the authority to intervene & support this fight: Sakura & Boruto. This position of Boruto is something Kishimoto has made clear from the beginning of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, just as Sarada intervenes without regard for her own life when Boruto needs her. This feeling is mutual between them & is fully justified. Although some of the fandom may see it as a regression in Sarada’s character, it’s actually an enrichment of the characters & an added value by Kishimoto, a shōnen where, beyond the fights, bonds & expressions of human feelings are valid to show & are present. Additionally, it would allow us to see quite an interesting team battle choreography, as Boruto & Sarada have always formed a formidable combat team. The heir of the Hiraishin & the heiress of the Mangekyou united in battle.

2. The Shinjus: They’re still a mystery. In fact, they don’t even know exactly what they are. Hidari asked himself & the other Shinjus: “Exactly What… are we?” We know they’re the result of a “claw grime” absorbing a person’s chakra. They’re a divine tree evolved & self-aware, produced by Code’s Ten Tails, created from the chakra of the person they’re absorbing, but the implications of this are still unclear.

We also know that the people the Ten Tails has absorbed are still alive. However, how long’ll they remain alive after the “claw grime” absorbs them? Will there come a time when Sasuke & the others sealed’ll die if not released? If Sarada kills Hidari, or if someone kills one of the Shinjus, does the person get released or die? And when releasing the person, does the Shinju die? These are questions still without definitive answers. Only time & the plot’s development’ll provide us with more information about these mysterious beings.

We could see this as the birth of a new species, or rather, the Ten Tails’ species becoming conscious. Moreover, they have a goal linked to the person from whom they’re absorbing chakra, which, if they manage to fully absorb, they’ll find a higher degree of evolution. The powers of the Ten Tails, the human abilities of the “sealed” person, the Rinnegan, the ability to launch bijudamas with their eyes, & even their wisdom & thirst for knowledge, make these enemies something totally unknown & formidable. Keep in mind that, in addition, their main goal after their “target” is to devour an Ōtsutsuki, therefore, they have the capacity to face enemies with levels of power that humanity isn’t capable of facing.

It won’t be a short battle & everyone’ll probably have to support each other to achieve something against this threat. Kawaki, upon learning that Himawari was in danger, quickly headed to the battle. Boruto, due to the resonance between the Karmas, can’t be near Kawaki, so he’ll likely assist in the battle within Konoha.

The battles against these enemies’ll be fought in teams & will likely be more than one confrontation. Although symbolically each Shinju has its target, it’s clearly a global problem, so it’s normal for third parties to be involved, even mixing scenarios. Everyone is in a conflict on the scale of the Fourth Shinobi World War, where everyone had to ally to achieve something against the common enemy. But, to summarize, the protagonists of the battles go like this:

Kawaki & Himawari vs Jura

Sarada & Boruto vs Hidari

Konohamaru & Team 10 vs Mitsuri

Eida & Daemon vs Bug

3. Himawari & Kurama: It’s interesting to see how they’ve imprinted on her the concept they initially had with Boruto (Byakugan + Kyubi). With lineage from Hamura’s line (Hyuga clan) & Ashura’s line (Uzumaki clan), & now with the Kyubi, she’s placed among the most powerful characters with raw chakra of the new generation. It’s surprising that Kurama’s return has caused astonishment in readers, considering it’s predefined that the tailed beasts don’t die definitively but reincarnate. A precedent for this is Isobu. Moreover, there’ve been hints (especially in the anime) that Himawari would somehow be related to the tailed beasts. She’s always shown interest in them; she even coexists with Shukaku in an anime episode.

The relationship between Kurama & Himawari started on good terms. Kurama retains his memories, including his time with Naruto, with whom he formed a bond of friendship & familiarity after they understood & accepted each other as equals. This precedent opens the opportunity for a friendly & mutual collaboration between Himawari & the Kyubi. An interesting fact to consider is that Kurama retains his past memories. There’s a possibility that they haven’t been altered by omnipotence, & if that’s true, he could convey to Himawari that her brother is actually Boruto, & that all the experiences she believes she shared with Kawaki (before omnipotence) were lived with Boruto.

Some believe that Himawari’s suspicions are due to the hidden power in her (the Kyubi), but that’s not the case. Sadly, Himawari was affected by omnipotence, & the fact that she feels Naruto & Hinata are alive & that “Boruto” would never harm them is because, due to the effect of omnipotence, her experiences lived with KAWAKI make her believe they were actually with Boruto. In short, what’s really being conveyed to the reader is that Kawaki would be incapable of harming Naruto, & that’s why she feels Naruto & Hinata are alive. Remember that omnipotence exchanged in people’s subconscious the memories & concepts they had of Kawaki & Boruto, but it didn’t alter reality.

4. Regarding Inojin: Another event that caused a stir is that Inojin was impaled by Jura. There’re already people who’ve prematurely concluded that Inojin is dead, but the truth isn’t definitive.

If Inojin survives, this’d mean 2 things:

Himawari might use some special power of the Kyubi to heal Inojin.

Inojin could be saved by the ninja medical unit, or by interference of ninja technology, although it’s important to understand that ninja medical jutsu & ninja technology have their limits.

Otherwise, it’d bring many implications to the plot. It’d be an emotionally shocking blow for many characters, starting with Ino & Sai, the Ino-Shika-Cho team that was raised as siblings, & other close friends of Inojin. It’d be the first character from the descendants of Naruto’s generation to die in battle just as the conflict begins, showing how dark the situation in TBV could start to turn. For Himawari, already the fact of losing her parents hardened her character, seeing the death of a special friend for her, who also died trying to protect her, would awaken a deep desolation.

For others like Boruto, Sarada, Sumire, & Mitsuki, who’ve known & shared time with Inojin at the academy, & Sarada & Boruto who’ve known him since childhood, it’d be an important before & after. It’d show them that no one is safe in the situation they’re living & that they’re facing dangerous enemies who don’t value human life. For Boruto, it’d be a hard blow to know that he might’ve helped, but the activated karma didn’t allow him to do anything in that situation. For the older generation, the loss of Inojin would make them aware that they failed in their mission to bring an era of peace to their children & the new generation, & the harsh reality that a new war has begun.

5. Boruto & Kawaki: Kawaki identified Boruto’s weak point in the previous chapter. It’s impressive that all of Boruto’s shinobi feats in the first 9 chapters were due to his pure training, without relying on the power of Karma. This is a great source of power, but at the same time his greatest weakness. Something must’ve happened over those 3 years that led Boruto to radically avoid karma. That fear has to do with Momoshiki, who finds a way to materialize & take over Boruto’s body by channeling through karma.

As we know in advance, in the battle Boruto vs Kawaki on the faces of the Hokages, Boruto can already activate his Karma at will. That is, by that point, Boruto’d probably have full control of his powers. But, seeing that Kawaki noticed that Boruto’s weakness is the activated karma, a possible scenario is envisioned: The cause of the destruction of the Shinobi era & what subsequently leads to the last confrontation between brothers is that Kawaki exploits Boruto’s weakness, causing him to lose control & Momoshiki to cause destruction. For some reason, Boruto regains control of his body & enters battle to defeat Kawaki.

Considering Boruto could lose control of the Karma at any moment & is emotionally affected by it, you can be sure that Sarada’ll be the one to help him channel those emotions. She’s the person he calls home, the intact fragment of his past, & she’ll be the one to show him he has the strength & will to stop Momoshiki. Sarada has always been a light in his life & was the one who thwarted Momoshiki’s plans to take over Boruto. The fight against Momoshiki is a battle waged on the plane of emotions & wills. And rest assured, Sarada won’t let Boruto fall into darkness; she’s the love that’ll turn Boruto’s vortex into a spiral. As always, Kishimoto gave us a great reference to this in Minato’s one-shot: Sarada is to Boruto what Minato was to Kushina & what Hashirama was to Mito.

There’re many more points that could be discussed, but this is what I wanted to highlight from the chapter. Boruto TBV is just beginning, there’s a lot to go through before drawing definitive conclusions.

Before closing, I’d like to point out that to know what ideas & projections Kishimoto has for the characters & their interactions, it helps to know chapter 700 of Naruto, “Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring”, & the novels belonging to Boruto’s timeline, some of which are written by Kishimoto & others directly supervised by him. These fit very well with how the characters are behaving in TBV. After Kodachi delegated the writing back to Kishimoto, a change in perspectives is noticeable. TBV is a pure concept of Kishimoto, so for those who like to theorize, analyze, or simply have a more complete understanding of the work, I suggest reading those stories that are part of the canon.

And lastly, beyond criticizing or causing fights in the fandom, enjoy the canon! Kishimoto has great things prepared.

Thinking here... Naruto & Boruto's time skips have two glaring flaws that are really opposite to each other...

When we get to see Naruto after the 2,5 years time skip, he barely changed anything, he basically:

Learned the Oodama Rasengan (A bigger Rasengan... After 2,5 years... Wow)

Learned to break free from genjustu (??? Why don't they teach it in the Ninja Academy again???) (And yet, he fails when he needs to use it in an actual fight)

And Kyuubi's power got more unstable and he still barely controls it, getting to go four tales rather quickly now (What's ironic given that control this power was Jiraya's focus)

Meanwhile everyone around him seems to have got really stronger: Sakura became a really good Medic Ninja and got Super Strength, Shikamaru evolved his shadow jutsu into a more offensive and independent in combat version, Neji became a Jounin, Chouji got better with his Body Expansion jutsu and was already praticing to use its best version without special pills & Sasuke well... Got a lot of boost, he even had the Kirin already when he first met Naruto & Sakura again... EVEN KAKASHI WITH HIS KAMUI!

Naruto seems to have got stuck in time to then just later have an actual evolution.

Like, I understand Kishimoto probably wanted us to witness Naruto's evolution, (and probably hadn't thought of the concepts properly by that time) but he could at least have made Jiraya drop some stuff and pass to Naruto some basic principles (such as the Chakra Natures (again, why didn't they learn that in the academy???) and what Minato actually wanted to accomplish with the Rasengan or even the Sennin Mode)

In the end the time skip really makes Jiraya look a bad teacher as later in the anime Naruto learns & improves such abilities in record time compared to his predecessors, impressing his teachers...

Meanwhile, Boruto's time skip of 2 years got to give nothing to the secondary characters besides new outfits, otherwise they receive near to zero attention and if we can say they actually evolved, they evolved nothing beyond we could expect or even still got under we could expect.

On contrary to Boruto himself, who reached a new power level, far beyond the average (being able to easily subdue Code who was previously pointed as a huge threat), learned the Hiraishin no Jutsu, had a change of personality, trained with the Frogs from the Myoboku Mountain and even CREATED A FREAKING RASENGAN THAT USES NOTHING LESS THAN THE PLANET'S ROTATION ITSELF...

The brat got absurdely stronger out of our eyes...

So in short: Naruto got almost no evolution in his time skip, what's really disappointing as we look at how much everyone else evolved in the same time; Meanwhile, Boruto evolved so much that it feels a loss we couldn't witness it considering how nobody else seems have been able to follow the pace... Really two opposite issues

What is so unfortunate about Naruto is how underutilized Sealing Jutsus/Fuuinjutsu is.

On paper, pun not intended, Fuuinjutsu is a broken discipline that can do absolutely anything from traveling to places in an instant like the Flying Raiin/Hiraishin to preventing bloodline theft via the Caged Bird Cursed Seal.

As seen its portrayal in the Boruto series, the potential for Fuuinjutsu is incredible.

Which is why its so foul that Tenten always gets the short-end of the stick when Fuuinjutsu combined with Weapon mastery was her schtick.

They didn't even make her evolve her utilities and techniques to get with the times.

She could have been the Emiya of Naruto but nooooooooo.

That aoe circle lightning jutsu he used in the Boruto academy graduation exam is a hard counter to every close range opponent even if they've snuck up on him from behind with hiraishin. Which rules out Tsunade who fights with her fists and hiruzen who fights with that staff, and minato who uses a kunai. Tsunade can heal from anything, but even she's going to be stunned by getting hit with a lightning strike and even a second's disorientation from getting shocked by lightning is going to be more than enough opportunity for Kakashi to get in close with a blade. If it's a duel to the death then he'd have plenty of time to decapitate. If it's a friendly spar then a tackle and pin plus a blade to the throat would be more than enough to declare a win.

The only opponent who can take hokage era kakashi down would be a long range fighter, and even then it'd be most likely an equal fight given the sheer range of jutsu kakashi has at his disposal and the huge chakra reserves to power it that he developed once he was no longer hobbled by a sharingan. The man can summon a lightning storm, provide water for an entire country and sustain a quartz wall for three days - a feat that ought to have required a whole team of shinobi to pull off. War era kakashi and Gai took out three biju between them.

But Hiruzen and Tsunade are Hokage’s who Kakashi is on par with. Stats wise Kakashi is between them (Hiruzen has 34, Kakashi 34.5 and Tsunade 35) meaning they’re all very close in skill. Tsunade obviously has her 100 healings which would make her incredably difficult to defeat obviously

But I think people are REALLY over hyping hiruzen. He’s known as the strongest of his generation and the professor but like… His biggest accomplishment is knowing a crap ton of jutsu’s

Which is obv impressive but Kakashi knows more

Both Kakashi and Hiruzen have all the elements mastered

Both of them are incredibly strong and talented shinobi known for being the strongest of their gen (with Kakashi’s friend actually being as strong as him and surpassing him by using the eighth gate while Hiruzen’s friend just stole Uchiha eyes and died a meaningless death but that doesn’t count towards them personally)

How does Kakashi keep getting religated to ‘weakest Hokage’ when Hiruzen and Tsunade are the same level of him, each with different skills

His musings were interrupted by a booming voice.

"Sensei!"

Tobirama raised his head and was confronted with the somewhat alarming sight of an Akimichi rushing towards him. Still the same wild brown hair, the same headscarf and the same drawings on the full cheeks. This could only be Torifu, thirty-five years older and at least three times as big, but unmistakably him.

Before he knew it, Tobirama found himself in a bone-crushing embrace and his feet lost contact with the ground. He gasped, but Torifu ignored all his protests to put him down again.

"I knew it!" exclaimed Torifu. "I knew it, that this old wolf here wouldn't let a few ridiculous foxes from Kumogakure get him down!"

"I must insist that you let go of my patient at once!", Fuyuko ruled him. "I don't feel like patching him up from pieces again."

So, anyway. I’m about 9k into the text (instead of writing my Founders Week stuff) and I have no idea how long it will be. But long. That’s for sure. So far I have the setup made and Tobirama gets accustomed to the new Konoha 35 years later. Pood dude gets pestered by his doctor, Fuyuko, who thinks that he’s an insufferable prick (not wrong), but can’t say it out loud. Tobirama really should listen to her more.

You’ll also get an old acquaintance from my Butterfly Verse, tho this text is not linked to it. But I got attached to Okami. She’s mom shaped and fluffy, I had to put her in here.

Okay, maybe some key facts for this project for those wondering what this is about: Underneath The Silence is a time travel fix-it, where Tobirama messes up a new experimental Hiraishin seal and lands in Konoha, which was indeed his destination, but he did not intend to skip 35 years. This saves him from the Kinkaku force tho, but only barely. This again is Minato’s luck, because that will save him from Kyubi (sorry, Kushina, but I ignore Boruto as well as this Hagoromo bullshit, meaning you still die when Kurama is ripped from you and I need some angst and hurt.) The text is just one big excuse to try writing TobiMina (or MinaTobi, still don’t know) slow burn and with slow I mean slow. Minato’s fliriting method will be passive aggressively attaching himself to Tobirama and refusing to let go. Danzo probably gets yeeted, because I hate that dude (I’m a bit predictable in this matter, but heeey).

I have many ideas so far what I can do with that story. Also the fact that this will have ftm trans Kakashi, who is Tobirama’s grandson. Kakashi is fucked up as hell because of that whole matter with Obito and Rin and Tobirama is as bad with kids as always, but somehow they get together. I know that fanon has it, that Tobirama tends to collect kiddos, but I always imagined that he’s actually terribly awkward around them and it was actually Hashirama’s idea to make him a teacher by shoving baby Saru in his arms.

I also have ideas™ for Shisui and especially Itachi, but won’t tell you more about it. That’s a RAFO! 😎 Oh, aaand.... what if agender Shisui 😇

Here I am, working on the fifth (!!) novel length text for this year and indulging myself in the illusion that I was happy with my token het Minato headcanon. I thought that MinatoKushina was the only canon het pairing I’m vibing with. But apparently no. I have to make even that gay.

ooc: How would Hokage! Minato fare against Adult! Sasuke?

Adult Sasuke, as you mentioned in the IM, the one in Boruto - literally the age’s current (and last) Indra, with a Mangekyou Sharingan and a Rinnegan to boot. Hokage!Minato would be as he was as the Yondaime. 

Time to get to work. I’ll be brief, ne? 

Sasuke trumps the Yondaime when it comes to Genjutsu and Ninjutsu - not only does the sharingan play a part in that, but the dojutsu ensures a cheat card with regards to countering Minato’s speed (just speed, mind you - not the hiraishin). As an adult, his Mangekyou would be able to do all that and more; lay effective genjutsu traps for him to even stumble into. Also, to be fair, Sasuke has a huge arsenal of ninjutsu and chakra reserves to boot - dodging his attacks and hoping for him to run out of fuel would be a baka strategy. Any stray rasengans thrown the Uchiha’s way would probably get absorbed by the rinnegan so that cancels that. 

Minato might be able to counter potential traps because he has superior battle tact, but that doesn’t mean he has an effective guard against Sasuke’s genjutsu abilities. The only thing he can do is not get caught and the verdict on who is faster seems to tilt in Sasuke’s favor (I don’t get it either but lets blame MK for that one). Minato’s speed is also probably the only reason the chances of him getting barbecued via Sasuke’s blaze control is rather low. 

Now lets say Minato manages to mark Sasuke somehow, which means that he’ll be able to teleport right to him at any given moment - that would be an added bonus. However, when it comes to close range combat, Sasuke not only has superior kenjutsu abilities, but I believe he would be able to match Minato’s taijutsu - maybe even overcome it. So that’s a no-go unless Minato uses restrictive fuuinjutsu and as much as I would love to entertain such a possibility, the manga doesn’t exactly provide enough to build on it, ya know? [which means I’ll be building on it later instead -cue maniacal hand rubbing gesture-]

At this point a reader might be thinking: but mun-san, Sasuke has a Susanoo so he has the ultimate defense, ne? Ahah, no. There are numerous instances of being able to invade the Uchiha’s personal Susanoo space and with the hiraishin, it would be very possible. Not as effective in the long-run though, unless Minato possessed the fuuinjutsu abilities to seal him in a pebble – now that sounds like a fun idea— 

Senjutsu might be something, right? Since the rinnegan can’t absorb that and all —- wrong! Er, not the fact itself, but the idea of it being Minato’s…saving grace? (yare yare quit writing Minato, mun san). Yondaime!Minato wasn’t as adept at Naruto with regards to utilizing natural energy; maybe if he had lived longer, he would have had time to master it too but yay tragedy? 

The only way, as I see it, for Minato to be able to beat Sasuke would be to trap him somehow - but since this is Adult!Sasuke we’re talking about, the possibility of that happening is…rather low. 

Bottom line: He wouldn’t be able to beat Sasuke, but he wouldn’t die by his hands either. Minato’s superior battle tact would ensure he would have an exit strategy, since on all other accounts sans fuuinjutsu, Adult!Sasuke would be able to beat him. Jinchuuriki!Minato would have better chances.

Side-note: There’s this ongoing debate about who is faster between the two of them, and that’s worth another post altogether. Lets pause here ne?

What are your headcanon’s for Kaiya as an aunt to Boruto and Himawari? If Kaiya and Itachi get together, how is she with Sarada? Also headcanon’s for Hikaru and Gorou as uncles to Kaiya’s kids (ItaKai & KaiKashi). Thank you! I love your original characters.

Aww thank you! I love them too :D This should be fun!OMG GOROU WOULD TOTALLY BE KAIYA'S KID'S SENSEIHad to get that off my chest. Okay! So, to be honest, I see things in Boruto being different after the events of TUTN - not least of all because there is no Kaguya. Some things would probably be different. If Sasuke is largely absent, it's for some other reason...I feel like Naruto would've learned to, you know, delegate...the whole ninja system would be a bit different (ie, it wouldn't just be ninja who learn to use chakra anymore)...but that's a topic for another post. So, on to fun imaginings of Boruto's dad's sister! Aunt KaiyaKaiya in the Boruto era still travels a good deal as a diplomat (sometimes taking her own kids with her, sometimes leaving them with the uncles), but she always brings souvenirs for her niece(s) and nephew(s). She's the "cool aunt" who sweeps into town with exciting stories of far-off places. Maybe every other year or something she takes the kids on a special trip somewhere. Boruto, after learning that she mastered grandpa's Hiraishin, constantly bugs her to teach it to him, but in that slightly stand-off-ish way that preteen boys have when they don't want to seem too enthusiastic about something. She refuses until he grows up a bit more. Himawari, she spoils. I mean, how could you not? She's so cuuuute!!! I can see Kaiya and Hima bonding while drawing - Hima asking All the Questions about Kaiya's funny-looking seal designs, and Kaiya lovingly telling her all their meanings. Hima then tries making her own "seals" that turn out more like pictorial stories :P Sarada! She loves Sarada. Honestly, it doesn't matter if Kaiya wound up with Itachi or not - Sarada is Sasuke's kid, so she's going to have a soft spot for her. I can see Sarada having interest in Fuinjutsu, which Kaiya happily teaches her about. When the time comes, Kaiya also shares stories of Sarada's uncle - both the hero that her father idolizes to this day, and the man who made mistakes but who loved deeply. BONUS: Inojin! What, you thought I'd leave out Sai's kid? No way! Sai and Ino have Kaiya over for dinner at least once when she's in town. Inojin knows she's his dad's friend and did something to help him at some point...um...crap that's all I got. Uncles Hikaru and Gorou Gorou is definitely Kaiya's kids' jonin sensei. He's also the one who, when they were little, would get on the floor and rough-house with them like a giant lion cub. It actually is a bit of an issue when he becomes their sensei, because they're so used to seeing him as goofy Uncle Gorou. Kinda hard to respect the guy you got into tickle fights with for years and who used to fake-steal your nose. Hikaru and whoever his partner is (because I'm giving him a steady, stable life partner after that business with Souta in the original TUTN!) are the de facto babysitters. Weirdly enough, her kids insist that they prefer their mom's (and dad's) cooking over Hikaru's. Hikaru is forever trying to change their minds.

Am I wrong to think this?

The Boruto series shouldn't have happened after Naruto.. A series focusing on Minato's era would've been better. They could've given the Uzumaki clan more screentime, and actually address how they were destroyed and all that. Along with more scenes of the Third Shinobi War and how Minato learned Hiraishin and other sealing techniques. Why not cover Naruto’s dad’s life? It was only 24 years before his death anyway-- Ahem. 

Then we’d also see more Mikoto and Fugaku and how the Uchiha were back then... Jiraiya teaching his team, what team Kushina and Mikoto were on.  All that good stuff! UGH! Then again, I’m a total fan of Minato to begin with so I am totally biased. But yeah! 

Minato is way more interesting to me, and they never showed him try to add his chakra nature into the rasengan. We didn’t even get to see his elemental chakra natures at all. I want to see how he decided to go for quick jutsu that don’t need hand seals. Did somebody close to him die because hand seals took too long to weave? So many questions! I wish they expanded more there.

Plus, who wouldn’t want more on these two dorks? How they grew up and how their relationship grew. How they fell in love with one another and developed their feelings... They are so precious! Yeah we got a lot of screen time on them compared to some other canon characters, but I am thirsty for more! 

It just sucks that Boruto series doesn’t seem to be mentioning them at all really. No new info or flashbacks or any of that. OTL Maybe someday...

Trong truyện tranh nhẫn thuật được đặc tả chi tiết hơn là hiệu ứng kỹ xảo trên phim ảnh. Hơn thế với bản truyện tranh chú thích sẽ cho ta biết và hiểu rõ hơn về những thuật ngữ giới nhẫn giả mà tác giả Kishimoto Masashi định nghĩa.

Nhẫn thuật điều khiển không gian và thời gian bạn có thể thấy rõ nhất qua nhân vật Sasuke. Song nó cũng xuất hiện ở ở những nhân vật sở hữu Rinnegan, nguyền ấn hay Kawaki.

Nhẫn thuật này có thể thực hiện dịch chuyển một hay nhiều người, vật đến một nơi khác. Không những thế với nhẫn thuật này mọi quan điểm về không gian thời gian đều bị phá bỏ. Nói cách khác họ có thể điều khiển hoặc tạo ra chúng.

Những nhẫn thuật điều khiển không-thời gian trong Naruto và Boruto truyện tranh

1. Kamui

Đây là nhẫn thuật đặc biệt chỉ được thực hiển bởi những ai sở hữu đôi mắt Mangekyo Sharingan. Tính đến nay thì người sử dụng nhẫn thuật này có Hatake Kakashi, Uchiha Obito và Uchiha Madara.

Đây được xem là một nhẫn thuật dịch chuyển vượt trội nhất mà đến chính ngài Đệ Tứ cũng phải thừ nhận. Chakra là yếu tố quyết định đến tính chất số lượng vật được dịch chuyển. Hiểu đơn giản vật có số lượng lớn hay mang năng lượng lớn thì cũng cần một lượng Chakra lớn để dịch chuyển nó.

2. Amenotejikara

Amenotejikara của Sasuke

Lớn lên cùng thăng trầm của tộc Uchiha không chỉ sở hữu một phần Chakra của Lục Đạo Hiền Nhân, Sasuke còn sở hữu huyết kế giới hạn. Điều đó đã giúp anh dễ dàng thực hiện nhẫn thuật dịch chuyển xuyên không này. Nhẫn thuật này cho phép hoán đổi vị trí với đối tượng gần nhất cho phép. Tuy nhiên việc sử dụng Rinnegan có thể dẫn đến mất sức và thời gian khôi phục lâu.

Nhẫn thuật được Sasuke sử đụng khi cậu hoán đổi vị trí với chiếc áo của Sakura khi bị lạc vào dị giới của Kaguya. Hay khi cậu dịch chuyển với thanh kiếm của mình trong trận đánh với Momoshiki. Trong cả Naruto và Boruto truyện tranh đều khẳng định rằng đây là nhẫn thuật đặc trưng của Sasuke.

3. Hiraishin

Vốn được ngài thiên tài Đệ Nhị sáng tạo, xong về sao nó trở thành nhẫn thuật gắn liền với tên của Đệ Tứ. Thuật thức này được thực hiện bằng cách tạo ấn ký lên bất cứ vật hay địa điểm nào. Bằng địa điểm đã được đánh dấu người thực hiện có thể dịch chuyển tức thì qua lại giữa các địa điểm.

Ví dụ điển hình cho chức năng này của thuật chính là khi Minato áp dụng để dịch chuyển Kurama ra khỏi làng Lá và chiến đấu riêng với nó. Minato cũng tiết lộ rằng thuật thức sẽ không bao giờ biến mất khỏi đối tượng bị đánh dấu.

4. Amemominaka

Amemominaka của Kaguya

Nhẫn thuật được đặt theo tên của vị Thần Khởi Tâm của Vũ Trụ. Với Rinnegan của mình Kaguya có thể dịch chuyển một lượng lớn đối thủ hay nhẫn thuật của đối thủ đến dị giới của bà ta.

Trong chap 683 Naruto – Boruto truyện tranh, Obito cũng thừa nhận anh khổng thể tới không gian này, bởi đó không phải là không gian do anh điều khiển. Nó lớn đến mức phải huy động thêm rất nhiều chakra từ Bách Hào Thuật của Sakura mới có thể mở cổng dị giới mà Sasuke ở đó.

5. Rinnegan của Urashiki

Urashiki là nhân vật đặc biệt của gia tộc Otsutsuki được thêm giới thiệu về sau trong anime Boruto. Nói như vậy là bởi lẽ trong Naruto – Boruto truyện tranh hắn đều không được xuất hiện. Hắn sở hữu Rinnegan nhưng nó có màu đỏ thay vì màu tím như Sasuke.

Nhẫn thuật này giúp hắn đi đến trước tương lai qua đó có thể vượt qua các cuộc chiến dễ dàng. Tuy nhiên yếu điểm của những kẻ thao túng thời gian là đánh đổi bằng thời gian của chính bản thân mình.
