Since many of you on tumblr were mostly unfamiliar with the whole genre of rap/hiphop prior to this whole beef, but many of you seem to be interested/magically drawn to the music, the culture, the background:

no thoughts today except on post-canon dancer!bj.

i've changed my mind and think that actually he would like to do competitions, but only as a casual every-now-and-then kind of thing, nothing too intense. too much and i think it'd ruin some of the joy he gets from it.

but i keep thinking about it and adding music to his playlist, and i think that immersing himself in a hobby like dance (whether it's swing, improv, silks, pole, etc.) would be a great way for him to start loving himself, feel in control of his body, and find community outside of work or whoever he's living with in that verse. it's something for him to work toward and, gosh, does bj need goals to strive for that are fun and not linked toward survival.

#still rolling around bj's punk boyfriend oc (who i cannot yet unsee as hobie LMAO)#but now i'm wondering like. what if his bf is a dancer? does local swing or hiphop dance competitions. he could get bj into it.#alternatively there is also melanie who is more solidified in my mind and already a pole dancer. she's sort of what clare was to bj #minus being heavily dependent on him. so it's a healthier version of that relationship. anyway.#bj has a very difficult time considering fun things outside of work bc that's never been something he could have often.#and certainly not on his own volition. so there's a sort of block there. he just doesn't *think* about it. so it's not even considered.#then someone invites him to do something just for fun and he's like ''oh yeah. i can do this now.'' and sometimes it is A Lot. in a good wa #out of fairy tales [ooc];
