peds surgeon yuuta??? u cant say things like that i need to jump. the cartoons, the glasses, of course his freaky ass would have a thing for u calling him doctor okkotsu i need to die id wanna tease him sm and be all over him but i cant think of anything if its in a hospital how did the greys anatomy ppl made it work?
the grey’s doctors were FREAKS LMFAOO bc there is not space to be doing all that in the on call rooms…. honestly yuuta is probably too busy to even try anything with you in the hospital 90% of the time… he’s either in surgery or buried in the research library or falling asleep standing up 😭 sometimes you two pass each other in an empty stairwell and have time for a kiss or two, but never more than that (also because yuuta has very little self-restraint when it comes to you… if he allowed himself more than that, then it would be much harder to stop…)
sometimes the two of you will fall asleep in the same on call room. yuuta will page you there and by the time you arrive he’s already half asleep, it’s probably his only nap in the last 24 hours, so you do your best not to wake wake him when you cuddle up next to him. you get a few hours of bliss in his arms before his pager is waking the both of you up, and he’s got to scurry downstairs to the peds floor and in his hurry he doesn’t realize he’s snagged your lab coat instead of his own, and it’s only when he’s haphazardly slipped it on and the arms are too short and the shoulders are too tight that he figures it out. it’s too late by then, because gojo is the attending on this case which means he doesn’t miss anything, which means he’s the first to giggle and tease, poking at your name embroidered above the breast pocket, “oh? i didn’t know the two of you got married already! oh and you took her last name, how noble, yuuta!~”
#anonymous#there's technically two separate doctor aus in my head#one is a gojo-verse where he's not a doctor but reader/kento/yuuji/shoko are in that one little drabble i posted#but in this gojo's anatomy universe they all get to be doctors 🙂↕️#some specialities are up in the air but so far peds unit is yuuta (resident) and choso (attending) and they do Not mess around#so very calm and gentle and sweet w the kids but when it comes to the medicine to the surgery to the treatments theyre Mean#they dont play around they dont lack of empathy they wont have it#i think... i think we have to have gojo as a brain surgeon... unfortunately... i think we do......#yuuji is a trauma resident in the other au but i think i'd do the same for him here idk it just fits him 😔#megumi is like..... the radiologist/x-ray tech that gets 40 calls an hour bc everyone wants their scans read in 20 seconds#and hes like no its Not a tumor no i wont run it again and no i dont have time for this 😐#or megumi is actually the parademic who brings in to the ER and hes like well these r drunk college kids... best of luck!#or megumi physical therapist... with his physical therapy dogs.....#nobara ortho resident and shes Scary LMFAOO#old lady comes in for a hip replacement and nobara's got her playlist on full blast having the time of her life hacking away LMFAO#nanami in internal/emergency medicine and hes trying to have his five (5) minutes of peace#and ofc gojo pops up like gnat and hes like nanamin! can i put this patient on blood thiners! and there goes nanamis lunch#yuuta.ask#doctor au

was doing research on subluxations because i have a suspicion i have issues with recurrent hip, wrist and possibly shoulder subluxations and then i was trying to find out if the shit that happens to my knees all the time are subluxations but it turns out that’s actually a full blown kneecap dislocation. which just.. i have to laugh because one of the first times it happened to me was in like 8th grade during a sewing class and i was just screaming in pain for about 20 minutes while someone ran to get my mom who worked at my school and when she came she just told me to straighten my leg out while massaging the knee and it will pop right back and so i did and i mean. it did pop right back sure but reading medical websites telling you that if it doesn’t slide back into place on its own you have to get a doctor to put it back and even if it does slide back on its own (NOT by you forcing it) you need to go see a doctor so they can get an xray or mri… lmao neither of my parents ever gave a fuck about me but also all this time i should have gone to the fucking doctor but i’ve just been taking my mother’s fucking advice and never questioned it
#my sister was in hospital five trillion times but i have been exactly once and that’s when i fucking broke my arm lmao#and i know that this shit is eds and that i got it from my mom#regardless of if i find a doctor who will actually do the proper fucking clinical diagnosis process it is so clear#and like sorry to my fucking mother but i don’t want her fucked up twice-replaced arthritis hips and all the other shit she has going on#p

chronic pain/health vent
Hate having pain that points to possible EDS (I'm definitely hypermobile), POTS, or dysautonomia because I know I won't be taken seriously if I go to my doctor again so soon. They'll say the specific coat hanger pain and leg tightness and cramping are just due to my weight. I still have a neck PT referral, but that would mean that I may be doing PT for hands, back/legs, AND neck/shoulders.
#jayy babbles#i'm constantly popping and crackling but i'm too fat for it to be anything BUT my fatness /s#wish i could get more info from parents but they barely go to doctors themselves#my dad got both of his hips replaced by the time he was 50 and he said i was born with a 'tilted hip' and my mom is plagued by migraines

HOLE IN YOUR BONE? **AGAIN?????**
yeah you know. the bone hole that shows up every few years. happens to everyone
#in all seriousness it’s something called a unicameral bone cyst basically a hole forms in your bone and gets replaced with a bubble of fluid#I got one in my hip when I was little and because it weakened the surrounding bone so much it ended up breaking#so now there’s metal screws in there#every few years my hip insists in regrowing the cyst so the main reason I’ve had an excessive amount of surgery is to inject donor#bone to fill in the hole. it’s supposed to stop recurring once your growth plates close but mine hasn’t gotten the memo yet#bone cysts themselves aren’t rare but it’s extremely rare for them to not go away on their own and get so big they cause pain and breakages#I’m special!!! one of the doctors who worked on me said she’d been there 15 years and I was the first case of my kind she saw :)#asks#thanks for tuning into this weeks episode of gecko medical lore. join us next week for the casket concussion

Leading a beautiful life doesn’t come without challenges. Our body goes through a lot of stress and grind in the process and there comes a stage when it needs more attention and care than ever before.
The Best Orthopedic Doctor in Bangalore at United Hospital explains that the wear and tear, our body is subjected to, leads to pain in the ankles and knees. Sometimes, it can get pretty hard to walk!

It is all about being aware of what Arthritis exactly is and taking precautions at the right time that could be the best beginning to arrive at a successful solution.
Understanding Arthritis?
Experts at United Hospital, a dedicated Orthopedic Centre in Bangalore focusing on Arthritis care, explain that Arthritis is a medical condition involving swelling and tenderness of one or more joints. It may worsen with age and is a prevalent cause of discomfort among senior citizens
Types of Arthritis
Arthritis can affect individuals of any age, but the elderly are more vulnerable.
Some of the common forms of Arthritis are:
Osteoarthritis - It is a condition that affects joints in your Hands, Knees, Hips and Spine.
Psoriatic Arthritis - This a condition that develops in people due to a very challenging skin disease called Psoriasis.
Reactive Arthritis – This causes joint pain and swelling triggered by an infection in prominent parts of your body — most often your intestines, genitals or urinary tract.
Rheumatoid Arthritis – This is a chronic inflammatory disorder which can affect more than just joints including premier organs like lungs, heart, eyes and blood vessels.
Some of the other conditions faced notably by the elderly include Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Symptoms of Arthritis
The most common signs and symptoms of arthritis involve the joints. Hence, it is important to seek an expert opinion if you observe one or more of the following symptoms:
Pain in the joints.
Stiffness felt in the joints.
Swelling observed in or around the joints.
Redness observed in the joints.
Difficulty in moving.
Treatment for Arthritis
Arthritis, if untreated, can be a really painful thing to handle. However, what really matters is the right type of medical attention at the right time and from the right source. Your treatment is based on how severe is your condition and can include:
Medications
Depending upon the type of Arthritis diagnosed, your medications may include:
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Creams and Ointments.
Steroids
Physical therapies and exercises.
Surgical Interventions
In case you do not get any relief from the above medications your doctor might recommend surgical interventions to bring you back to your routine lifestyles in quick time. Some of the types of surgeries performed include,
Joint Repairs
Joint Replacements
Joint fusions
Let’s say Goodbye to Arthritis forever and welcome a painless life. For many of us, life may begin at 40, but so does Arthritis! Hence, if you are wondering as to, “Which is the Best Orthopaedic Clinic near me to treat Arthritis”? feel free to connect with United Hospital.

What Is The Procedure Of Knee Replacement Surgery ?
Procedure Of Knee Replacement Surgery
Knee replacement surgery, also known as knee arthroplasty, is a life-changing medical procedure for individuals suffering from severe knee pain and mobility issues. The surgery is primarily recommended for patients with advanced arthritis, degenerative joint diseases, or injuries that severely impair knee function. With advancements in surgical techniques and prosthetics, knee replacement has become a common and highly successful procedure. In this blog, we delve into the procedure of knee replacement surgery, share real-world examples, discuss outcomes, and highlight lessons learned, with a special reference to the best knee and hip replacement doctor in Lucknow.
Understanding Knee Replacement Surgery
Knee replacement surgery involves replacing damaged or diseased parts of the knee joint with artificial components, called prosthetics. These components are typically made of metal alloys, ceramics, or durable plastic, designed to replicate the function of a healthy knee joint. The procedure aims to relieve pain, improve mobility, and enhance the overall quality of life.
Types of Knee Replacement Surgeries
Total Knee Replacement (TKR): The entire knee joint is replaced, including the lower end of the femur, the upper end of the tibia, and, if necessary, the patella.
Partial Knee Replacement (PKR): Only the damaged portion of the knee is replaced, preserving healthy bone and tissue.
Revision Knee Replacement: Performed when a previous knee replacement fails due to wear, infection, or other complications.
Step-by-Step Procedure Of Knee Replacement Surgery
The knee replacement procedure is meticulous and requires precision. Here is a breakdown of the process:
1. Pre-Surgical Preparations
Before surgery, patients undergo a thorough evaluation, which includes:
Medical History & Physical Examination: Ensures the patient is fit for surgery.
Diagnostic Imaging: X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans assess the extent of joint damage.
Preoperative Instructions: Patients are advised to stop certain medications and maintain a healthy diet.
2. Anesthesia
Anesthesia is administered to ensure the patient is comfortable during the procedure. Depending on the case, either general anesthesia or regional (spinal/epidural) anesthesia is used.
3. Incision and Exposure
The surgeon makes an incision, typically 6-10 inches long, to access the knee joint. Minimally invasive techniques may use smaller incisions to reduce recovery time.
4. Reshaping the Bone
Damaged cartilage and bone are carefully removed using specialized instruments. The remaining bone is shaped to fit the prosthetic components.
5. Implanting the Prosthetic
The artificial joint components are securely placed, often using cement or a press-fit technique to ensure stability. These components include:
Femoral Component: Replaces the lower end of the thigh bone.
Tibial Component: Replaces the upper end of the shinbone.
Patellar Component: Replaces the kneecap (if necessary).
6. Final Adjustments
The surgeon ensures the new joint aligns properly, allowing smooth movement. Any necessary corrections are made at this stage.
7. Closing the Incision
The incision is closed using sutures or staples. A sterile dressing is applied to minimize the risk of infection.
8. Recovery Room Monitoring
Post-surgery, the patient is monitored for vital signs and pain management in the recovery room.
Real-World Example: Transforming Lives with Expertise
Case Study: A 65-year-old woman from Lucknow, suffering from severe osteoarthritis, struggled with basic activities like walking and climbing stairs. After consultations with multiple doctors, she approached Dr. Intekhab Alam, renowned for being the best knee and hip replacement doctor in Lucknow. The results were astounding. Within weeks of the procedure, she regained mobility and resumed her favorite activities, including gardening and playing with her grandchildren. Her success story is a testament to the transformative power of knee replacement surgery when performed by an experienced surgeon.
Post-Surgical Care and Recovery
Recovery from knee replacement surgery requires time, commitment, and proper guidance. Here are key aspects of post-operative care:
Hospital Stay: Patients typically stay in the hospital for 2-3 days. Physical therapy begins shortly after surgery.
Pain Management: Medications are prescribed to control pain and prevent infection.
Rehabilitation: Physical therapy plays a vital role in restoring strength and mobility. Exercises focus on improving flexibility and rebuilding muscle strength.
Lifestyle Adjustments: Avoid high-impact activities and maintain a healthy weight to ensure the longevity of the prosthetic.
Outcomes of Knee Replacement Surgery
The success rate of knee replacement surgery is remarkably high, with over 90% of patients reporting significant pain relief and improved functionality. Here are some key outcomes:
Improved Quality of Life: Patients can resume daily activities without discomfort.
Enhanced Mobility: The new joint allows smoother and more natural movements.
Longevity of Implants: Modern prosthetics can last 15-20 years or more with proper care.
Lessons Learned from Successful Cases
Timely Intervention: Delaying surgery can lead to further joint damage and complications.
Choosing the Right Surgeon: The expertise of the surgeon greatly influences the outcome. Patients in Lucknow can benefit from the unparalleled expertise of the best knee and hip replacement doctor in Lucknow.
