peds surgeon yuuta??? u cant say things like that i need to jump. the cartoons, the glasses, of course his freaky ass would have a thing for u calling him doctor okkotsu i need to die id wanna tease him sm and be all over him but i cant think of anything if its in a hospital how did the greys anatomy ppl made it work?
the grey’s doctors were FREAKS LMFAOO bc there is not space to be doing all that in the on call rooms…. honestly yuuta is probably too busy to even try anything with you in the hospital 90% of the time… he’s either in surgery or buried in the research library or falling asleep standing up 😭 sometimes you two pass each other in an empty stairwell and have time for a kiss or two, but never more than that (also because yuuta has very little self-restraint when it comes to you… if he allowed himself more than that, then it would be much harder to stop…)
sometimes the two of you will fall asleep in the same on call room. yuuta will page you there and by the time you arrive he’s already half asleep, it’s probably his only nap in the last 24 hours, so you do your best not to wake wake him when you cuddle up next to him. you get a few hours of bliss in his arms before his pager is waking the both of you up, and he’s got to scurry downstairs to the peds floor and in his hurry he doesn’t realize he’s snagged your lab coat instead of his own, and it’s only when he’s haphazardly slipped it on and the arms are too short and the shoulders are too tight that he figures it out. it’s too late by then, because gojo is the attending on this case which means he doesn’t miss anything, which means he’s the first to giggle and tease, poking at your name embroidered above the breast pocket, “oh? i didn’t know the two of you got married already! oh and you took her last name, how noble, yuuta!~”
#anonymous#there's technically two separate doctor aus in my head#one is a gojo-verse where he's not a doctor but reader/kento/yuuji/shoko are in that one little drabble i posted#but in this gojo's anatomy universe they all get to be doctors 🙂‍↕️#some specialities are up in the air but so far peds unit is yuuta (resident) and choso (attending) and they do Not mess around#so very calm and gentle and sweet w the kids but when it comes to the medicine to the surgery to the treatments theyre Mean#they dont play around they dont lack of empathy they wont have it#i think... i think we have to have gojo as a brain surgeon... unfortunately... i think we do......#yuuji is a trauma resident in the other au but i think i'd do the same for him here idk it just fits him 😔#megumi is like..... the radiologist/x-ray tech that gets 40 calls an hour bc everyone wants their scans read in 20 seconds#and hes like no its Not a tumor no i wont run it again and no i dont have time for this 😐#or megumi is actually the parademic who brings in to the ER and hes like well these r drunk college kids... best of luck!#or megumi physical therapist... with his physical therapy dogs.....#nobara ortho resident and shes Scary LMFAOO#old lady comes in for a hip replacement and nobara's got her playlist on full blast having the time of her life hacking away LMFAO#nanami in internal/emergency medicine and hes trying to have his five (5) minutes of peace#and ofc gojo pops up like gnat and hes like nanamin! can i put this patient on blood thiners! and there goes nanamis lunch#yuuta.ask#doctor au

i've done some horrible things to copia in the notes app but i draw the line at giving him a hip replacement. so my personal hc for his cane situation — disregarding the alternative of him taking one onstage just for the vibes — is that he developed early onset osteoarthritis from ballet and began to manage it. the rats mv was the last time he danced properly, then after the threat of replacement, it was strict physiotherapy and steroid injections until the cane wasn't as necessary as it once was. you can get footwear designed to help with oa, so i'm sliding the shoe moment from rhrn into this self-indulgent ramble ('i'll get injured' = 'things will be worse for me later'). he'll jump around the stage as often as he dares to the frustration of doctors and his mother — and his ghouls, who will help him limp offstage at every show towards the end of the tour and take care of him after treatments. limited movement frustrates him to no end but he'll put on a mask of cheery positivity until he's too tired to maintain it any longer. he'll manage it to the point where it's easier to live with than it was when he danced for the last time, but it'll never be like it was when he was young. he struggles with this more than he does the physical pain. who'd want a reminder of their imminent demise burning at their side with every step? still, he pretends, even if it's obvious to everyone close to him that it's a problem — no need to give them any more reason to end his reign earlier than he'd like

was doing research on subluxations because i have a suspicion i have issues with recurrent hip, wrist and possibly shoulder subluxations and then i was trying to find out if the shit that happens to my knees all the time are subluxations but it turns out that’s actually a full blown kneecap dislocation. which just.. i have to laugh because one of the first times it happened to me was in like 8th grade during a sewing class and i was just screaming in pain for about 20 minutes while someone ran to get my mom who worked at my school and when she came she just told me to straighten my leg out while massaging the knee and it will pop right back and so i did and i mean. it did pop right back sure but reading medical websites telling you that if it doesn’t slide back into place on its own you have to get a doctor to put it back and even if it does slide back on its own (NOT by you forcing it) you need to go see a doctor so they can get an xray or mri… lmao neither of my parents ever gave a fuck about me but also all this time i should have gone to the fucking doctor but i’ve just been taking my mother’s fucking advice and never questioned it

chronic pain/health vent
Hate having pain that points to possible EDS (I'm definitely hypermobile), POTS, or dysautonomia because I know I won't be taken seriously if I go to my doctor again so soon. They'll say the specific coat hanger pain and leg tightness and cramping are just due to my weight. I still have a neck PT referral, but that would mean that I may be doing PT for hands, back/legs, AND neck/shoulders.

Tumblr media
Leading a beautiful life doesn’t come without challenges. Our body goes through a lot of stress and grind in the process and there comes a stage when it needs more attention and care than ever before.
The Best Orthopedic Doctor in Bangalore at United Hospital explains that the wear and tear, our body is subjected to, leads to pain in the ankles and knees. Sometimes, it can get pretty hard to walk!
Are we welcoming Arthritis in this case?! Well, in the worst case, unfortunately, we may be. However, experts indicate that there is no need to panic. With rapid advancements in medical science, there is not just hope, but more confidence that we can defeat Arthritis.
It is all about being aware of what Arthritis exactly is and taking precautions at the right time that could be the best beginning to arrive at a successful solution.
Understanding Arthritis?
Experts at United Hospital, a dedicated Orthopedic Centre in Bangalore focusing on Arthritis care, explain that Arthritis is a medical condition involving swelling and tenderness of one or more joints. It may worsen with age and is a prevalent cause of discomfort among senior citizens
Types of Arthritis
Arthritis can affect individuals of any age, but the elderly are more vulnerable.
Some of the common forms of Arthritis are:
Osteoarthritis - It is a condition that affects joints in your Hands, Knees, Hips and Spine.
Psoriatic Arthritis - This a condition that develops in people due to a very challenging skin disease called Psoriasis.
Reactive Arthritis – This causes joint pain and swelling triggered by an infection in prominent parts of your body — most often your intestines, genitals or urinary tract.
Rheumatoid Arthritis – This is a chronic inflammatory disorder which can affect more than just joints including premier organs like lungs, heart, eyes and blood vessels.
Some of the other conditions faced notably by the elderly include Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Symptoms of Arthritis
The most common signs and symptoms of arthritis involve the joints. Hence, it is important to seek an expert opinion if you observe one or more of the following symptoms:
Pain in the joints.
Stiffness felt in the joints.
Swelling observed in or around the joints.
Redness observed in the joints.
Difficulty in moving.
Treatment for Arthritis
Arthritis, if untreated, can be a really painful thing to handle. However, what really matters is the right type of medical attention at the right time and from the right source. Your treatment is based on how severe is your condition and can include:
Medications
Depending upon the type of Arthritis diagnosed, your medications may include:
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Creams and Ointments.
Steroids
Physical therapies and exercises.
Surgical Interventions
In case you do not get any relief from the above medications your doctor might recommend surgical interventions to bring you back to your routine lifestyles in quick time. Some of the types of surgeries performed include,
Joint Repairs
Joint Replacements
Joint fusions
Let’s say Goodbye to Arthritis forever and welcome a painless life. For many of us, life may begin at 40, but so does Arthritis! Hence, if you are wondering as to, “Which is the Best Orthopaedic Clinic near me to treat Arthritis”? feel free to connect with United Hospital.

Rediscovering the joys of childhood, like not being able to reach my damn foot to tie my damn shoe.
I was born and lived the first five years of my life with my right hip out of the socket. By the time a decent doctor noticed the problem, the socket was basically gone. There were three surgeries involved in reconstructing it. Cut to thirty years later and I’ve been having an alarming amount of pain. I got a new x-ray, and my hip looks like a high school art project someone got an F on. No shade to my old doctor, I would have lost the ability to walk if not for him, but the time has come for a hip replacement. I’m having it at the end of the month. It’s a little sad that I have to do this before the age of forty, and working in the service industry probably has a lot to do with that, but I also can’t wait for the day of the surgery to come. I’m in pain, and looking forward to being in less pain.

Why Hip Replacement Surgery Could Be the Solution You Need:
Hip replacement surgery is a commonly performed procedure that can provide relief to individuals suffering from severe hip joint pain, often caused by conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or hip fractures. This surgical procedure aims to replace the damaged or worn-out hip joint with an artificial implant, allowing patients to regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
If you're considering hip replacement surgery, it’s important to consult with an experienced orthopedic specialist. Dr. A.K. Sinha, a trusted and highly skilled orthopedic surgeon, has successfully performed numerous hip replacement surgeries, helping many patients regain their mobility and lead an active life. For more information, visit Dr. A.K. Sinha’s profile.
Benefits of Hip Replacement Surgery
Pain Relief: One of the most significant advantages is the reduction or complete elimination of chronic hip pain.
Improved Mobility: Patients typically experience a return to more active lifestyles and are able to perform daily activities more comfortably.
Enhanced Quality of Life: Many patients report a significant improvement in their overall well-being and mental health after surgery.
When Should You Consider Hip Replacement?
Hip replacement surgery may be recommended if:
You’ve tried other treatments, like medications or physical therapy, without success.
Your pain is severe enough to limit your daily activities and impact your quality of life.
You have trouble walking, bending, or performing routine tasks due to hip discomfort.
The Procedure
During the surgery, the damaged parts of the hip joint are removed, and an artificial joint (made of metal, ceramic, or plastic) is implanted. The procedure typically takes a few hours, and recovery can vary, but many patients return home within a few days and regain full mobility within a few months.
If you're seeking expert care and a personalized treatment plan, Dr. A.K. Sinha offers exceptional hip replacement surgery services. To learn more, visit Dr. A.K. Sinha’s profile.

Understanding slipped disc: causes, symptoms and treatment
A slipped disc, also known as a herniated or prolapsed disc, is a common condition affecting the spine. It occurs when one of the soft cushions (discs) between the bones (vertebrae) of the spine becomes displaced or ruptures. This can put pressure on nearby nerves, causing pain and discomfort.
Tumblr media
Common symptoms of slipped disc
The symptoms of a slipped disc can vary depending on the severity and location. Here are some signs to look out for:
Neck or back pain: Persistent pain in the back or neck area, which worsens with movement or after sitting for long periods of time.
Arm or leg pain: If the slipped disc is in the lower back, it can cause pain in the legs (sciatica). If it is in the neck, the pain may radiate down the arm.
Numbness or tingling: The affected nerves may cause a sensation of numbness or tingling in specific areas of the body.
Muscle weakness: You may notice weakness in the muscles controlled by the affected nerves.
Difficulty in movement: Bending, walking, or even sitting may be difficult due to pain or stiffness.
Severe cases: Extreme cases may lead to loss of bladder or bowel control, which requires immediate medical attention.
Causes of slipped disc
Several factors may contribute to the development of a slipped disc:
Age: With aging, the water content in the spinal discs decreases, making them less flexible and more likely to tear.
Injury or trauma: A sudden injury or accident may cause the disc to become displaced.
Repetitive strain: Lifting heavy weights or performing repetitive activities may put pressure on the back, leading to a slipped disc.
Poor posture: Sitting for long periods of time or maintaining poor posture can increase the risk.
Obesity: Excess body weight puts extra pressure on the spinal cord.
Genetic factors: Some people are more likely to develop a herniated disc due to genetic reasons.
Diagnosis and treatment
If you feel symptoms of a slipped disc, consult a specialist like Dr. Dinesh Kumar, a specialist in orthopedics and joint replacement, for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
Diagnosis methods:
Physical examination: Evaluating symptoms, mobility and reflexes.
Imaging tests: X-ray, MRI or CT scan to confirm the condition.
Treatment options:
Conservative treatment:
Rest and avoiding strenuous activities.
Physical therapy to improve strength and flexibility.
Pain management with medications or hot/cold therapy.
Advanced treatment:
Epidural steroid injection to reduce inflammation.
Surgical intervention in severe cases where non-surgical methods fail.
Prevention tips
To reduce the risk of slipped disc:
Maintain correct posture while sitting, standing or lifting.
Do regular exercises to strengthen the back and core muscles.
Avoid excessive weight gain to reduce stress on the spine.
Use ergonomic furniture and equipment to support your back.
