Akari Shohei🕊🇧🇷

Description:

Akari Shohei is a 19 year old female who is half Brazilian and half Japanese.

She speaks Portuguese, English, and Japanese very well.

She is shipped with Sanemi Shinazugawa.

Akari is a Kakushi, due to failing Final Selection

Akari traveled to Japan from Brazil to see her best friend and to learn more about her Japanese side.

When there, she gets news that her friend has died, she was 17 at the time.

When Akari learned about Demon Slaying, she wanted to joined, having nothing to loose. She didn't learn any Breathing Styles and went into Final Selection defeating many demons with her wits alone.

Helping people in Final Selection is not legal and you won't pass if you do, unfortunately this is the reason why she didn't pass.

Akari helped many people, just to see them die in front of her, causing her depression.

She became a Kakushi instead, helping the Hashira.

She would watch them train, especially Sanemi and learned Wind Breathing, soon making Dove Breathing.

Akari trained in secret, not wanting to let anyone know she has potential.

She is also serious about hiding her face, her uniform helping.

She lives in a regular house, adding her own touches for her training.

It is a small white house with trees to attract doves. There is a backyard hidden by vines and flowers. That's where she trains.

Appearance:

Akari has wide hips.

She has long, wavy, brown hair with white streaks.

She has this tan skin and brown eyes.

Akari wears the standard Kakushi uniform.

She wears this waist cape to cover her sword

Her sword is a smooth white color.

She does not has a crow, but if she did, it would be a dove named Hikari.

Connections and Personality:

Akari is pretty much like Sanemi, rough on the outside but actually pretty sweet on the inside.

Akari is calm but annoyed when someone tries telling her what to do.

Akari only shows her sweet side when around children or doves.

She likes them.

She also loves to dance.

Akari met a female Sword smith when she became a Kakushi, traveling with a Hashira to the Village.

She was funny, kind, and listened to Akari tell her about her life.

They became friends and the Sword smith made Akari her own sword.

Oyakata-sama or Kagaya knew about her skills and offered her to be a Slayer, but she refused.

Kagaya set up some things for Akari to see that's she's worthy.

During The Final Battle:

Akari fights a demon she saw before who had become a Uppermoon.

She gains several cuts and is energy deprived.

When going to Muzan, she sees Sanemi and his injuries.

She helps him fight Muzan but breaks her ribs, arm, and is tired, very tired.

She almost passes out, giving Muzan an advantage to kill her off but Sanemi saves her.

Akari survives with mild injuries and is in a coma for 2 months.

When she awakes Sanemi was there, Akari's face mask was gone but she didn't mind that time.

Akari confesses her feelings to Sanemi and so does he.

In the end they start dating.

my other alt! when they announced the new data center i was debating whether or not i should be a character there, and then they announced one of the servers would be called maduin and my ff6 obsessed self couldn't just Not have a character there. and then one of my friends came to me and asked if i'd be interested in going in half with them on getting an fc house on the new server for workshop sub tax evasion purposes and i was like oh hell yeah. so for those two reasons i had to come up with another idea for an alt

remembering that i had originally planned on making an au ra before being foiled by only having access to base arr races, i decided to try my hand at making the au ra i most likely Would have made if i had been allowed to make one from the beginning. it turned out to be hard because i was trying to make a character for a game i know almost everything about with the idea that it was supposed to be a character made when i knew nothing about it. after a while, this is who i wound up with!

anyway, this is hikari! she was originally supposed to have a different surname but i created her literally as soon as the new servers went live on reset day and i was too tired to remember what it was so now she's hikari mistdweller. it is what it is

i'm still working on her overall backstory because i learn more about her the longer i play but she's still in arr, but more or less her deal is that she was raised in a small village near the ruby sea. her parents were really shitty and emotionally abusive and she was basically their unfavorite child. then one day in her early teens, her sister died in an accident, and her family blamed her for it and got her kicked out of the village.

she kind of wandered for a while just doing her best to survive, clawing her own existence out of the dirt as best she could. eventually she heard tales of adventurers earning fortunes and glory in eorzea, and decided that she was going to go become really successful and cool and famous and make everyone in her town regret kicking her out.

as she got closer to eorzea she started hearing tales of raubahn aldynn's unlikely rise to syndicate member and flame general and decided to make for ul'dah to attempt to follow in his footsteps. and that is where the beginning of arr picks up, more or less

she's kind of uptight and serious and emotionally repressed but she is learning how to human better, slowly but surely. she is a perfectionist and a workaholic. she likes to bite people. she's a little feral. she can't cook and is perfectly happy eating tree bark if she can't scrounge up anything else. she was voted most likely to say 'what do you mean you're being murdered. they can't do that. that's illegal' in a crisis. she likes gemstones and mining and smithing her own weapons and armor. she thinks of herself as a weapon first and a person never. she's so determined to prove to everyone, herself most of all, that she's deserving of love and attention and respect, that she will give and give and give of herself until she is completely empty and then do it some more. she's a self loathing closeted gay but not in a homophobic way which shouldn't even be possible, and yet. she's a poor little meow meow. and she may or may not have autism.

in stormblood she returns to the ruby sea, eager to return to her hometown to show everybody that she's hot shit now and don't they feel bad for kicking her out... only to find that at some point between when she was exiled and when she returned, the garleans completely razed the town to the ground. there's nobody left. she will never have her catharsis

her skin/scale color combination kind of reminds me of wedgewood jasperware china, so in shb her sin eater form would be some sort of porcelain construct looking creature with kintsugi ribboned through damaged areas

Light & Darkness (English cover by Riverdude) from the Phantom Blood musical. What a thing to exist!! A choral + rap song explaining the social upheaval of the Industrial Revolution as a backdrop to the campy goodness of the 1880s vampire-hunting story of the first arc of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Pure musical goodness. XD

蛍の光 (Hotaru no Hikari), a Japanized version of Auld Lang Syne. I associate it with Dimple from mp100 for... reasons.

Burn It Down by Vixy & Tony, which I discovered because @gumy-shark (hi!) mentioned it as a Shou Suzuki song. and it IS. :']

Long-term, I'm looking forward to firing the kiln again; I have... SO MANY SCULPTURES waiting to shine. I'm talking literally a hundred sculptures, the product of two years of work. In the short term, I'm looking forward to Mob Night with Friend tonight >:] we're gonna meet TERU!!!

um... hm... oh! I want to try making an easy frog plushie. or maybe a manta ray. the cold season is nearly upon us, and I think it would be fun to switch up my plushie-making from the endless mice to water animals for a bit!

I’m feeling a little silly tonight so here’s my oc’s tastes in music!

Ellis - This girl listens to almost everything but her favorites are musicals, alternative rock, metal, and pop! Right now she’s bouncing between ABBA, Marina, and some random musical!

Victoria - This does come as a shock but Victoria oddly loves alternative rock (think of The Smiths or The Cure!)

Ivy - Vintage Pop (like girl groups from the 50s or 60s such as the Ronettes or The Supremes)

Artemis - Rock, specifically garage rock or hard rock!

Aimée - Pop. This girl lives and breathes Britney Spears and Madonna

Gwen - enjoys classical music but is now a fan of pop!

Hoshiko - Boybands or Girlgroups! Also loves kpop and jpop groups!

Hikari - he would say “anything that’s on the radio” but does enjoy more indie bands

Alice - Jazz! Tried to join a jazz band herself once

Fabian - Glam Rock or smooth jazz

Stopping in Cropdale, the group was pleasantly surprised to find there was to be a festival. Agnea was well prepared with a gown and internal map of the town. Everyone else was a bit more lost.

While half of the group decided they would rather see the town, Castti was procuring a dress. Truthfully, she wasn't much of a dancer, but Agnea talked her into it and there was no saying no to such a charismatic (and manipulative) girl.

"Does this look like it fits?" Castti asked.

She looked down at the skirt and was hesitant about the slit. It exposed her leg. It was one Pala had lying around that she was more than happy to lend to a friend of Agnea.

"I love the slit," Throné laughed, "it's perfect for you!"

"Hmm... Do a twirl," Agnea suggested.

Castti did as told, and the lightweight skirt lifted from the ground. The extra layers of fabric resembled wings.

"Its perfect!" Pala said.

"Yep, the twirl was good," Agnea agreed.

"I dunno," Castti muttered, "Partitio, what do you think?"

Partitio sat silently in the corner. He had long since chosen an outfit and only stayed at Agnea's request. She claimed he had a good eye for beauty, but really she didn't want him getting drunk with Gus or her father.

"Uh, ya' look f-fine!" Partitio said.

"Are you okay? You look a little red," Agnea remarked.

"I'm fine, it's just hot in here. I'll go outside," he left before anyone could say another word.

He leaned on the wall of the Bristarni's house as he thought.

She looked perfect.

He wanted to tell her everything and nothing. Maybe say how he felt. But that could backfire. But she might end up with someone else, and what if she didn't feel the same way about him? So many things to consider.

After a while, Castti exited the house.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"Yeah, why d'ya ask?" Partitio answered.

It wasn't as hard talking to her without an audience. Throné would no doubt bully him if she noticed anything and he didn't have to fear that if they were alone.

"You said you felt hot, but it wasn't very hot in there, so I'm worried you're sick," she said.

"I think I'm fine."

"I'll still check."

Castti furrowed her brow as she pressed a hand first to his forehead, then his neck. As Partitio's heart pounded, all he could do was pray she didn't notice. She stared at him for several long moments.

"Yes, you're fine. Maybe just have a glass of water," she smiled.

Partitio nodded. They talked and talked while they waited for Throné to pick a dress.

Musicians from all around the Leaflands had visited for the festival. They stood upon a stage as they played their songs. Dozens of people danced and jumped in rythm with the drums. Agnea had sweet talked Hikari into dancing with her. After the initial awkwardness, he found a rythm and smiled as much as she did.

"When do you think Hikari will ask her out?"

Partitio nearly jumped at the sound of Castti's voice.

"Huh? Oh, uh, I dunno. Seems like she already asked him," he laughed.

"Yeah, she's probably the more confident one in that area," Castti agreed.

They watched the two dance a while longer. Partitio thought of asking Castti, but again, there was hundreds of things to consider. What if she didn't want to dance with him? What if she took it the wrong way? What if she-

"Shall we?" Castti held out a hand.

Partitio felt his face burning as he stared at it.

"Are you alright?" Castti chuckled.

"Yeah, just zoned out for a bit, let's go," Partitio said.

He took her hand. The two of them stepped into the square. Castti placed a careful hand on his shoulder. She met his eyes.

"Have you danced before?" she asked.

"Only once," he admitted.

"Oh? When?"

"Just some harvest festival in my hometown. The smith's daughter felt bad for me and asked me to dance."

Castti couldn't help but laugh at that.

"You didn't seem like the type to be a quiet and pathetic teenager to me."

"Oh no, I wasn't, this was when I was nine. She was twenty and just thought I was a cute kid," Partitio replied.

Her cheeks became red, "ah, I see."

Partitio laughed at her expression and she chuckled as well. They danced in silence for a long time. He couldn't help but stare at her. She didn't seem to notice. She was always looking just past him, a curious look on her face.

"Let's go, I wanna show you something," she said.

They left the square, but she didn't let go of his hand.

"Where're we goin'?" Partitio asked.

"Just outside town, Agnea showed me this place."

As they walked, Partitio only grew more curious. It was unlikely she liked him, so why would she bring him there? Was there a weird looking animal she wanted to investigate? A rare herb she needed?

"Here!" Castti smiled.

They entered a clearing. Through it ran the river that supplied water to the entire town. It seemed to sparkle under the setting sun and the plants danced in the breeze.

"So, why're we here?" Partitio asked.

Castti let go of his hand with a smile.

"Have any guesses?"

"I don't know, ya' gonna murder me?"

Castti laughed, "gods, no!"

Partitio's heart pounded as he thought of other options. A thousand ideas raced through his mind, though they were silenced in an instant. Castti pulled him down by the collar.

"Hey-" he started, but was interrupted.

She kissed him.
