Might've gotten a biiiit mad there. I'm not Mahiru's biggest fan either, so I'm not even defending her just cause I "love" her so very much. You literally CANNOT selectively choose who was a victim in the Hiiragi family because ALL of them were. Not more, not less. all of them. Kureto, Mahiru, Shinya, Shinoa, all victims of the same devil that attempted to pit them against each other. You literally can't cherry pick who was and who wasn't PERIOD.

All of the Hiiragi children deserve so much better and I hope the manga gives them all a promising future. I'm worried about Shinya's inevitable death though...

This is the first one actually. The first one was the second I did. Had to put the color on blank space since I keep mixing up the color and get it all wrong after that.

Mahiru Hiiragi

Raised as a human experiment with her younger sister Shinoa, Mahiru needed to be the best at everything to survive. In order to protect Shinoa, Mahiru both took the demon possessing her sister into herself, speeding up her own transformation into a demon, and beat and abused Shinoa to the point of total disconnect from her emotions and desires so that when the demon returned to her at Mahiru’s death she would be able to control him. Though Mahiru’s greatest desire was to be an “ordinary girl in love”, she manipulated her love interest into ending the world and killed all of his friends. Upon her death and transformation into a demon, she possessed said love interest and continued manipulating him into following her own plan for restoring the world. Though she did cause a great amount of harm, she did what she could to protect those she loves, is currently working against her ‘creators’ in order to undo the destruction of the world, and also died at sixteen, so it’s not a surprise that she was unable to stop the manipulations of the villains and therefore she has a lot of unearned hatred.

Her twisted view of friendship or relationship may came from her upbringing. She let her companion(?) Haruka to attempt suicide in order to protect her and didn't stop him because she believes letting friends do what they want is what friends do. People just think of her as a manipulative selfish bitch when clearly she does cares about others to a certain degree. Also she's a sobbing pathetic wet cat.(I'm terrible at explaining and getting facts straight forgive me milgramblr)

A highschool bully turned bullying victim who views the world in extreme black and white. During the first trial we only saw her be a victim of bullying who was pushed so far she snapped and killed a girl who refused to help her, so the fandom was sympathetic and forgave her- then the second trial started. Because she was forgiven by us, she believed she didn't actually do anything wrong when she bullied others first, and will always be completely in the right for everything she does. The fandom decided to mimic her black and white way of thinking by deciding she was the most evil being in existence who deserved everything she got, and should actually be tortured more, so she was given the highest guilty verdict of the series (so far). She's 16 btw
