also this kind of shit sort of highlights the way people deeply DEEPLY misunderstand and misrepresent sexual violence & abuse. idk if i can properly explain rn but in our culture it is seen as anything but real, realistic, common, mundane. its exaggeratedly cartoonishly demonized, or its a fantasy, or maybe its a lie invented for attention; anything but what it is, which is a real form of violence that people do to each other. and treating such violence as "shipping" (or alternatively as "forbidden territory you can never write about/must have a sign saying THIS IS BAD") contributes to the way we divorce sexual violence from reality. im not saying here that shipping discoursers are purposely feeding rape culture, but i do think that they kind of arent considering or even thinking about it
