this is a long shot, but since the vast majority of seventh dimension archive did not make it to the wayback machine, idk what else to try. decades ago i saved a ton of fic to my hard drive and i can't be the only one. i'm looking for any backups of seventh dimension, but specifically fics by kat parsons and dina heredia. and the hl fanfic season, which wasn't on seventh dimension but yeah

I got a friend watching Beyond Belief, I'm watching Highlander with her husband while rewatching Buffy by myself, another friend is watching Murder she Wrote and another is watching X-Files and yet another is watching Star Trek: Voyager. Everyone I know is watching shit from or that started or aired in the 90's. No matter who's house I go to it's 90's time. Are we nostalgic or did TV peak?

5000 year old man that spent the entire show teasing Duncan so badly and had so much UST that the whole of the show had to be recut, his role expanded from a oneshot to being a central reccuring character for the rest of the show and he was given a wife side plot... which even in the 90s the show couldn't stop the gay subtext from taking over. To the point it was often bandied as the Male Equivalent to Xena.

He keeps it cute while threatening Ron Perlman with a sword. He disarms the main character by asking to look at his sword while widening his eyes. He used to hang out with Byron.

Summary:

When the Winchesters come up against a strange case, Castiel offers to get help from an old friend.

This friend admits to not knowing much about the myths and lore of the probable monster, but he has another friend who does.

When they met up, Dean manages to almost instantly get on the wrong side of this guy, one Duncan MacLeod. Normally no biggie, but Duncan wields a katana, and claims to be Immortal…

Will Dean lose his head or will he be able to talk the Highlander into helping them?

I have an idea.

I've been rewatching Highlander recently, and a mutual got me to thinking about Star Trek, and I thought to myself, "What if Immortals got to the age of First Contact and Star Fleet?"

They're immortal, so that shouldn't be a problem, but how would they interact with that world? What would Immortals out amongst the stars look like? Are their Immortals among other species? Can you picture a human immortal fighting a Klingon immortal? Or a Romulan? A Cardassian? Do Vulcan Immortals abstain from the Game because it's "illogical"? What would happen if an Immortal was assimilated by the Borg?

So many possibilities to work with here.
