And ten minutes into Nezha 2…Ao Guang rushes half water half man, like a burst flooding dam, to catch Ao Bing in an embrace…saying if his son dies Chentang Guan is all going down with him!

And Shengong Bao sees his disciple alive and immediately perks up, “Ao Bing!” Immediately starts rattling off a plan to save him…

And Li Jing puts a warm hand on Nezha’s shoulder, plays jianzi the shuttlecock game with him…Nezha accepts the most painful heartfelt hug from his mother…

And Ao Bing flings himself onto his dad to hug him, purposefully…

The love and care, and how totally brazen it was shown in the hugs….totally arresting…

first attempt at a g3 cupid because I got thinkin about the possibility of g3 cupid

explaining my choices (even though I'm gonna do a 2nd attempt at this and change some stuff)

ditching the bone elemental thing because tbh it's pointless and whilst I love her in mh I think at this point most people view her as the eah version of her

so like yeah she's just a cherub demigoddess now

I tried to still keep elements of her g1 design but I went pretty casual with her outfit because that's just the vibes of g3 designs

she's very pink and cream and soft and frilly because that's the vibes

kept the arm and leg ombre thing because I think it's kind of iconic and I just like that thing with character designs but I need to find a way to make it clash less

her boots were gonna be platforms but then I thought as just heeled boots they were kinda giving like pixie and I thought it was cute

yeah that's it

oh she has a face I just only drew the eyes because this is essentially a sketch

and she has short hair because I think it's cute and need g3 to release a doll with short hair already

i genuinely dont get how so many people are uncritically excited for The Movie and have no issue with anything going on here i feel like im losing my mind a little bit . the trailers did not look good to me at all is everyone excited about it posting from an alternate dimension or something what are people seeing in this movie that im not .

People say things like "ugh im sick of all these high concept horror movies :/" and then refuse to watch a slasher movie from the 80s with a budget of $100, about $70 of which was spent on the camcorder and the other $30 on fake blood

I never expected my Annoying Old Person trait to be getting increasingly mad at the most minuscule movie failures imaginable, but apparently this is just what's happening now.

Like, taken on its merits, American Society of Magical Negroes was fine! It was!

But it's a low-key plot point that the main character is an honest to god, with a degree in it and fucking everything, fiber artist. The dialogue takes care to remind you of this about once every 15 minutes or so, I assume primarily because costuming simply could not be fucking bothered? Which is frankly bizarre, because costuming was clearly having fun elsewhere in the film, both with characters' normal streetwear and the sillier costumes characters picked out for their assignments.

It's pretty much only our protagonist, introduced trying to sell his fucking yarn sculpture at a gallery opening, who looks like he just escaped from a Banana Republic catalog. You can make a character argument that he wouldn't go for a lot of color in his day to day wear, but my god, where's the texture? Where's the weight? The drape? The patterns? The layers? You genuinely expect me to believe that character picked up that shirt, held it in his hands, and bought it instead of putting it back in disgust?

I mean, I know it was a comparatively low-budget film, but stuff like this typically doesn't add much to the bottom line and is a great way to say more with less.

i hate the concept that queer people have a "delayed adolescence" due to being queer so it's really funny reading zach braff's concepts behind Garden State, a heterosexual romance(?) movie about an emotionally-numb coming-off-his-meds-for-the-first-time-in-his-adult-life cishet man (played by braff) and an epileptic compulsive liar manic pixie dream girl (played by Natalie Portman) and he describes it as a second puberty of the brain during a person's 20s. This movie came out in 2004

this is his quote from describing the basis for what the movie is about: "I have this theory that your body goes through puberty in its teens, and the mind goes through puberty in your twenties"

I have yet to play a video game where I could play as a character in a wheelchair (I am a wheelchair user) pls pls game devs let me kick some ass as Charles in a wheelchair idc what version of him it is. i know id be a fool to hope they give us charles in his wheel/hover chair but i still hope they do ... alternatively it's gonna be very funny/awkward if krakoa-era erik's been talking about charles as tho he were dead and having to dig cerebro out of the beach and all that meanwhile krakoa-era charles has just been taking a nap this whole time... grandpa wake up you gotta go to war... again...

if they gave us first class charles though id probably lay in on coming traffic. respectfully
