Thoughts from trying Wuwa

-the exposition is kind of a lot, it could use a slower drip feed of info

-the optimization on lower end hardware, even at bottom of the barrel settings, is abysmal

-the gameplay feels fucking incredible, sorta soulsy with its stagger system and dodge mechanics

-the character designs are cute, but the girls seem pretty samey so far, minus a few exceptions

-the setting seems cool! Fantastical modern settings are awesome

-the theming around sound and frequencies is a neat throughline

Honestly, the gameplay is so smooth and fun, kinda like HI3 met Genshin and they went on a date in Lordran. I'll play it just for the gameplay, at least for now.

Tldr, fun gameplay!! Hope the pacing and optimization is tweaked <33 I've got high hopes.

I would totally try ZZZ but between wuwa, genshin, and hsr (I keep telling myself imma get back to playing those last two ASDJFBJFNFFBF) my hands are tied . I need to exercise restraint . THAT FRUITY LITTLE ROBOT GUY SEEMS SO COOL THOUGH !!

for sure!! i naturally tend to rotate what i'm playing every couple weeks - month ish so i only really have an issue arise with balancing games when all of them... have characters coming up around the same time that i want... which is happening a lot recently

i LOVE the fruity robot guy. billy plays a little like chixia and it's huge for me. he has a special aoe spinny attack if you basic attack after a dodge and since he's so fast you can just. chain that. it's really stupid. that was the only way i was playing him for the last hour of gametime last night. i'm sure canon him would approve

played zzz for a bit and it's okay, i like the style (although it's hard not to think about ai) and i really like the setting but it's another game that requires you to play consistently if you want to pull for anything 😩

cha, do you have any tips for finishing the honkai 3rd storyline, farming crystals, and how to properly play the game? I'm embarrassed to say this... but I've been playing honkai for about 3 years now and I still have not even the slightest what I'm doing at all 💀. I'm like. Level 80 and I have basically no damage still, basically no equipment, and barely anything of worth (except for my half-decent veliona that has the signature weapon, 1 signature stigmata, and she's been hard carrying me for about 2 years now) I legit have no clue what I'm supposed to do. I feel like I ruined my account in countless different ways 💀and I really don't know how to fix it.

full disclaimer i am a whale. i SSSd & 4/4 both elysia battlesuits and i have most of the recent characters fully geared ... i see pretty girls and suddenly i am simply financially irresponsible :) i'm caught up on the main story and i'm saving for hare and promethus.

i don't really have advice for the storyline, hoyo has been pretty good at explaining everything but if you click through the tutorials quickly it's easy to get a little lost ... as far as farming crystals go just do everything. shallow sequence on elysian realm if you can stomach it ( 400 crystals per character ) doing abyss, completing the events, etc. forge stigmatas too, thats how i fully geared some characters. being late game is a little dull but there's always something that drags me back to the game ( plus i've spent a ridiculous amount of money )

i have a love hate relationship with the game knowing the meta changes every patch and that my favorite characters will be replaced with better new ones but i keep playing ‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )‧º·˚

I think maybe I should just go play actual Harvest Moon but I haven't played one since N64 and no modern game is ever gonna top the early-3d-cow experience

I'm dragging and dropping Stelle and Firefly into the little bed in my imagination so hard right now why isn't it working

Am I supposed to be pushing the evade button... ever? Because the enemies are constantly just a giant pile of flashing pixels and I can't see if there is something I ought to be evading incoming (besides the big red lines, I do dodge those)... but I've never actually seen a character die so I guess it doesn't matter?

Basic attack is circle in this but square in ZZZ and going between them is messing me up every time. Yes, I did try changing it to match, but with the layout of the buttons shown on screen being wrong then, that was messing me up in its own way.

I like this girl with the yo-yo that it keeps making me use in trials. She's the only one who I've intuitively managed to figure out how to use properly. Also she looks like Asta.

Checking the reading guide, I apparently need to go read like 30 chapters of various manga before I'm allowed to touch the story again soooo see you later I guesssss

Seeing Rita Rossweisse art on my dash is simply unfair. You can't jumpscare me with a character that I spend over a year obsessing over. You might make me actually want to boot up HI3 again for the first time in months.
