It always gets me excited when anyone mentions Tim’s neck scar from the warehouse explosion!! In the comic panel it looks severe but I never see anyone talk about it. Do you have any thoughts or headcanons about it?

as for thoughts and headcanons, i have some some vague ones yes! i think in general it's some severe scarring that took several months of skin graft operations and such to help heal. it's part of why the rr cowl is integral to him, imo - keeping the back of his head and neck covered and protected becomes a priority while it's still delicate and healing. and also he just generally wants to minimize exposed skin after that explosion. it prob leaves him with some hypertrophic scarring that's eventually covered by hair again, but more visible on his neck (part of why i also hc that he tends to wear high-collared shirts and turtlenecks + grows out his hair afterwards).

also alongside this, for the gays among us: i generally hc kon going to emt classes (like, as kon-el/superboy/supernova) because after last stand of new krypton, he's like man i could use ttk in medical contexts to save people all the time if only i knew how. so he shows up to a class like hi i have telekinesis please teach me what to do with it. and alongside that once he figures out that tim's got some significant scarring that sometimes locks up and gives him mobility issues or pain, kon also slides into an occupational therapist's office like heyyyy could you mayhaps give me some pointers on how i could use my fabulous Tactile Telekinesis to help out my best bro I MEAN a hypothetical guy who has this sort of scar-related muscle tension. tim finds this vaguely mortifying at first but melts So fast because it turns out that kon's ttk neck massages are godly.
