My 3-D modeling teacher was one of the set managers on the show. It's even more bizarre and miraculous when you know some of the behind the scenes stuff like how much time each episode had in production (about 2 weeks) and Nickelodeon's master plan of having them make 100 episodes AHEAD of time and airing the show in fake syndication for most of its entire run. It was kinda a miracle the show happened at all.

Also, fun side note, said modelling professor did some freelancing for Terminator Salvation. So, you know, tonal shifts.

From a mathematical standpoint, the answer is pretty easy. A few million people adds up to like... .05% of the world. It just happens that this demographic has a much higher unity of taste than most other sub-cultures. So, it gives the illusion of being the majority by merit of being the largest slice of a bunch of very small slices of the pie.

From a non-mathematical standpoint, the answer is 11 year-old boys, bored college students, and stay at home parents.

who actually watches the “X reacts to Y” videos. They always have like several million views. like, is it aliens? is it the normal human men trying to discern human reactions? i just dont understand.

Yeesh. Is this a search engine for my grandparents and other non-tech-savvy people (Not to discourage other people's grandparents. I legitimately have a pair of grandparents that, for a number of years, thought my electrical engineer father fixed toasters for a living)?

From what I can tell Squbo is supposed to be a search engine where the results come up as pictures instead of titles and URLs, which seems decidedly unhelpful since you have to mouse-over each one to see what website it represents. The prototype site doesn’t even work

Fun Fact: This is also why Wobbuffet is the only non-legendary pokemon to be flat-out banned from any form of Pokemon tournament. Although, the part about being a nigh impenetrable wall of instant double damage counters didn't help much either.

It's even worse when most of them are all of the same typing. So, unless you are one of the few people that discovered that Linoone can surf (and therefore can learn HMs of different typings), your HM slave is probably worthless too.

It's okay though. It's not like there's a shortage of water pokemon to learn all those extra water moves. You can catch a few while you're surfing through a stretch of bare featureless ocean that's a third the size of the original game.

Remind me why Archie wanted to EXPAND the oceans again? What a dick.

I love the hoenn games but damn, when you need five HMs to get through victory road you need to rethink some stuff

I actually came across these guys 5 years back while doing some video compiling for my college anime club's bad video Halloween meeting. It was this fun little prank I got to pull every year by compliling 4 hours of the weirdest and most mind-bending video stuff I could find.  Anyway, this band came up while searching for material and one of their videos even made the cut (not this one). Anyway, the point is the band has several songs of a similarly punny nature and does the soundtracks for quite a few indie Visual Novels. It's their gimmick.

So, yeah. I'm not really sure where the person 2 posts above got the idea that this was supposed to be a serious love song. It's pretty much just a dumb but lighthearted ribbing at youth nerd culture; not some epic love song to a girl the lead singer likes. It's parody.

You are, of course, still allowed to think it's dumb and awful. It's not THE BEST parody, but it definitely is one. Still, if you think THIS is a hate crime, do yourself a favor and never look into ringtone mascot pop music (that IS a genre). There's some things in there that would make your eyes shrivel like staring into the sun.

...And for extra bonus points, it's not actually TRYING to be a bit bad. So, you can actually enjoy it knowing someone thought that was a product people should have. Although, I highly doubt effort or "heart and soul" was put into Schnuffel the Carrot-snuggling bunny.

It's shame that FE7 wasn't made about 10 years later. If Hector's theme had been a remix of "America, Fuck Yeah", we'd know for sure.

At least that would excuse like... half of the creepy A supports in that game.

I sometimes wonder if FE7 is an affectionate parody of the Fire Emblem franchise.
