Going Dumb~ Chapter 7
ᯓᡣ𐭩Pairing; Kim Seungmin x Fem!reader, Stray kids x Fem!reader
ᯓᡣ𐭩 ᯓᡣ𐭩Summary; It had been over a decade since you had last seen each other, having met in choir when Seungmin was living with his grandparents in LA and you with your Aunt. Now that you are both presented adults, how will he handle a change to the reality of you he had made in his mind in your absence over the years?
ᯓᡣ𐭩 ᯓᡣ𐭩 ᯓᡣ𐭩 Notes; This is an ABO!AU. in this world when someone reaches puberty they will present with one of three sub genders; alpha, beta, or omega. Due to Alphas and Omegas experiencing rut and heat, some jobs are restrictive as to what sub genders they will hire, specifically singling out omegas as heat suppressants are harder to obtain than rut suppressants. Scent glands are located near the pressure points on the neck and small hormonal patches called scent blockers can be placed over them to reduce or rid an individual of their scent for a period of time depending on the strength of the hormones in the patch.
ᯓᡣ𐭩 ᯓᡣ𐭩 ᯓᡣ𐭩ᯓᡣ𐭩Warnings; abo!au, beta!kim seungmin, almost all alpha!straykids, female!reader, poly!pack dynamics, angst, mild violence, mentions of sexual harassment/assault and discrimination, smut, enemies to lovers, Kim seungmin is kind of an ass I’m so sorry dandy boy, she/her pronouns used for reader, jealous seungmin, I have only ever wrote one abo story before but it is one of my favorite genres so I hope I can do this justice~
You were correct about your life becoming more chaotic, that was for sure.
In the short month since you had become stray kids assistant you had been going nonstop. Sometimes you would be with them all together, sometimes only one or a few members as they went to solo schedules. You had been with them to interviews, variety shows, behind the scenes when they filmed skz codes and even in some of their skz talker videos briefly.
Typically editors would blur out the staffs faces but the kids had insisted they leave you in as you were already formally introduced and as long as you didn’t mind they thought it was okay with the mostly positive feedback from fans even going as far as to ask to see more of you in the stray kids content as they had come to enjoy seeing how the members interacted with you even though it was usually for only a short moment.
It took some getting used to but over all it was very exciting and you couldn’t help but enjoy it even though you were still a bit shy around the camera.
Whenever they would tease you playfully you’d tease back, bantering with the members lightly and stay were eating it up and enjoying the dynamic between the nine of you.
It helped that you had begun sharing more of the boys, with their permission of course, on your own personal instagram stories that stays had found and were appreciative of getting more content of the group they loved so much.
Now, it was Christmas Day and you were with them at Gayo Daejeon watching them perform from back stage as you were on standby with other staff for when they finished their performance. You stood against the wall just out of view of the audience but able to watch from afar as the kids performed, absolutely mesmerized by their stage presence. Somewhere towards the end of their second song your face fell as you heard the audio begin to play for another groups song overtop of their own.
The boys looked a mix of furious and confused but it seemed to only fuel them harder as the next song had such an intense energy you didn’t notice a presence next to you that seemed to demand your attention. Your eyes were locked on your boys, as you had affectionately come to know them, until you heard the person beside you clear their throat making you jump as they startled you.
Turning to address whoever it was staring you down so intensely at your side you were met with an individual you had seen interacting countless times with the boys backstage at events earlier in the month. “Oh! Uh, Hi- can I help you?”
The alpha smirked, leaning against the wall beside you. “Maybe- you’re stray kids assistant, yeah? I’ve seen you around them a lot lately.” The tall man gives you a look up and down that causes a light pink to dust your cheeks as you feel yourself fluster easily under his gaze. “That I am. you can call me-“
“Bunny!” You flinch a bit at the loud sound, and suddenly you feel arms wrap around you from behind.
Minho rested his chin on your shoulder, looking at the taller alpha with a smirk as the other looked a bit thrown off and awkwardly rubbed at the back of his neck as he moved to stand up straight once again as opposed to the relaxed demeanor he held leaning against the wall. “Leeknow hyung, hi! You guys performance was incredible as always.”
The alpha currently draping himself over you put on a friendly smile and nodded to the other. “Thank you, Yunho. It’s nice to see you again. I see you were getting acquainted with our bunny here.” The taller alpha, Yunho, nodded bashfully as his face heated up. “Yeah I wanted to come and introduce myself on behalf of the rest of Ateez. I’m sure we’ll see more of each other around so it seemed polite to say hi-“
Something told you there was more to his motives for coming to speak with you but his soft puppy like demeanor now caused you to take his word and offer out your hand to him with a bright smile. “Thank you, it’s nice to meet you.” You could feel the arms around you tense slightly as you shook Yunho’s hand, the other blushing even deeper. “Pleasure is all mine, really. Well- I should get going but it was nice to see you again hyung, and nice to meet you Bunny.” And with that he left to rejoin his group where you could see several members teasing him for the interaction they had evidently been watching from afar.
A soft growl rumbling behind you caught your attention and caused you to swat at the alphas hands lightly. “Quit that, he’s your friend. Why are you acting like that?” As he pulled away and saw the frown of disappointment on your face Minho whined, the other members coming up now from where they finished getting their mic packs off and Chan gave the second eldest a look that showed he wasn’t too pleased either. “You shouldn’t have run off like that, Minho. Staff was trying to get your pack off and you completely ignored them. Go back over there so they can help get it off properly.”
At the light scolding from their leader, the alpha whined even more and left with a huff. You sighed, shaking your head as Han followed off after the older alpha and Seungmin came up to your side. “What was all that about…” You huffed, looking to the others with confusion. “I thought you guys were friends with them, why did Min look like he wanted to bite that guys head off?”
The beta scoffed, rolling his eyes as he took the bottle of water you held out to him. “You seriously are so oblivious right? Yunho hyung is clearly interested in you.” Your hands froze where they were now passing a bottle of water to Hyunjin and you most likely would have dropped it if it wasn’t for the alpha grabbing it first. “What?”
Hyunjin laughed, shaking his freshly dyed garnet red hair out of his eyes as he opened his bottle and took a sip. “Oh bunny, you can’t be that oblivious. He was totally eye fucking you.” You looked back over to where ateez were standing and felt your cheeks heat up as you saw the alpha was in fact still watching you from across the room. “Oh- yeah I guess I really didn’t notice…”
That statement caused the beta beside you to relax and take a swig from his water. He looked over his shoulder at where the other puppy idol still watched over you with a longing that set him a bit on edge. Instinctively he wrapped an arm around your waist causing you to look up at him with a soft smile.
The two of you had grown closer, so much so that now those feelings of friendship you had when you were younger didn’t feel so much like a scam. There were many times since becoming their assistant and moving into the dorm full time with the pack that the beta would seek you out for company. You would sit in his or Felix room with them while they gamed, laying on the bed scrolling on your phone as you listened to their loud banter or shouts of victory.
Sometimes if he came back from a particularly difficult lesson or long schedule and was in search of comfort he would lay with his head in your lap on the couch and let you card your fingers through his hair gently as the tv volume was set low as to not cause further damage to his aching head and you would pump out more of your scent to soothe him until he fell asleep like that until someone called for dinner or you gently shook him awake and lead him to his room so he could return to his slumber.
A soft blush covered his cheeks and he looked away though his arm around your waist tightened. You giggled lightly at his shyness and poked his side before handing the last water bottles to Minho and Han as they finally rejoined the group. He took in the sight of the two of you before a teasing smile crossed his features and he gave you a wink along with whispers of thanks for the water.
You nodded, fiddling with the straps of the harnesses Seungmin wore before being lead by the beta towards their area backstage so they could rest before going back out for the rest of the show.
Seungmin managed to get you sat beside him on one of the chairs there, he leaned his head on your shoulder and brought your hand up to place them on his head. You laughed a bit and shook your head, moving your hands and giving his knee a gentle pat. “Sorry Minnie, no pets right now.” You teased, watching a pout form on his lips. “Later- yeah? Can’t mess your hair up when you still have to go back out there.”
Relenting, the beta nodded in understanding yet he kept leaning against you while everyone else relaxed or left to mingle with other idols in the halls.
The rest of the evening went by without issue, though you could still feel Yunho’s gaze on you anytime you happened to cross paths with the other pack. It seemed to keep the boys on edge as not only Minho and Seungmin began clinging to you without a care who was around to see or what cameras were there to pic up their behavior.
At one point you swore you saw Chan off to the side talking with the leader of Ateez Hongjoong, just before he approached the tall dancer and hit the back of his head lightly before scolding him under his breath. The alpha leaders seemed to have a lot in common and it made you giggle lightly as Chan rejoined you at your side and followed where you we’re looking to his fellow leader now getting onto another member, Wooyoung, for teasing Yunho for being scolded by their pack alpha.
You gave the oldest a look, eyebrow raised before he shook his head dismissing any unanswered questions. “Let’s get ready to go home, yeah? It’s been a long day and we still have more schedules coming up.” You nodded in agreement, helping him gather the rest of the pack along with everyone’s belongings and into the cars to take everyone back to the dorms.
The next month was no different than that previous. You were always by their side to help with whatever they needed even if it was something simple like grabbing them a snack during long photoshoots or taking pictures of them before or after a performance for them to post to Instagram or bubble later on.
As January turned to February and they were set to travel once more for a few set schedules, you were all thrown off when the day before you were set to depart Jisung woke up with body aches and cold symptoms starting to show.
“Hannie please try and eat something, yeah? I know you don’t have much appetite right now but it’ll get your energy up.” You tried to reason with the alpha, sitting beside him on the floor in front of the tv. There was a bowl of broth sitting on the coffee table in front of him and one of his favorite dramas on the screen while you held the spoon up in an attempt to get him to eat something so you could give him the medicine prescribed by his doctor earlier that morning when you and Chan had brought him for a check up.
The alpha whined but eventually gave in, eating about half of the bowl before the leader came in to pull you away for a small meeting. You made Han promise to finish the bowl and drink some of his water bottle before you returned to give him his medicine since the instructions said to take on a full stomach.
Sat in Chan’s room you felt a sense of deja vu to the time months ago when you were first asked to be their assistant. “I want you to stay here with Han and make sure he’s taken care of while we go ahead with the schedules.” Chan spoke softly, but his tone was stern. You nodded your head, knowing he and the others wouldn’t be leaving without the two of you if it wasn’t necessary, especially not without Jisung.
“Yeah- I don’t trust him to take his medicine on his own if I’m honest.” You said lightheartedly as you looked behind you at the door as if you could see through it and into the living room where the sick alpha still sat waiting for you to return.
Bangchan nodded with a smile, pulling you in for a hug once you stood from your spot on his bed. “Thank you. I honestly don’t know what we would do without you at this point- you…you’re one of us now.” The words caused your chest to tighten but you didn’t allow yourself to think too deeply into his statement as you nodded and hid your face in his strong chest. “I should be thanking you for helping me so much…with everything.”
Dismissing your thanks he gave the top of your head a quick kiss before shooing you out of the room. “I’m gonna go wrangle up the kids and get them out of here before anyone can catch what Hanji has- we’ll stay in a hotel tonight before flying out tomorrow.”
Laughing, you made your way to leave before he stopped you once more. “Oh and you two will be alone for a while…we all have some free time after our schedules so I’m gonna be going home to see my family and I think everyone else has plans as well.” You nodded in understanding, giving him a reassuring smile. “I’ll hold down the fort and make sure Han gets better, you can count on me.”
Upon hearing the news of Jisung’s illness as well as both of your absence from the upcoming trip the rest of the members were in different levels of sulking though undoubtedly the most distressed by the lack of your presence was Seungmin and Minho as they worried about not only their members health but how that could affect you while taking care of him.
Oh how right they were to worry.
It had been a little over two weeks when the three youngest members returned to the dorm, pushing the door open and all scrambling in with suitcases in hand. “Hannie!! Bunny!!! We’re hooommmee~~” Felix called out with a giggle as he set his bags down and began searching around for the pair.
Over the course of the last week no one had been able to get a hold of either you or Jisung and it had worried Bangchan enough to ask that whoever arrived home first give him an update, hoping that you hadn’t caught whatever bug it was that Han had.
As Seungmin entered the dorm he couldn’t tell what it was at first but something felt off. The beta began taking off his coat and as he went to hang it up it hit him, looking at where their youngest alpha’s eyes were starting to dilate rapidly while he sniffed at the air. At Jeongin’s reaction the beta also began sniffing at the air, his eyes widening at the intense aroma of freshly ground coffee and candied orange peels filled his senses. “Felix, Jeongin- we have to go.”
The alphas both let out a low growl but Seungmin didn’t seem to care as he began shoving the both of them out the front door while pulling out his phone to make a frantic call to their leader. He almost lost his balance when a loud moan that sounded eerily like you cane from the direction of Jisung’s room and caused the two alphas to almost trample over him to get to the sound.
“Seung? Hello?” Chan’s voice over the phone seemed to snap the two alphas out of whatever spell they seemed to be under if only for a second and Seungmin was quick to push them out into the hall in front of their dorm and slam the door shut before locking the three of them out. “Yeah, Hyung- we have a problem…like- a big problem.” He ignored the pang in his chest as what was happening deep within the form settled into his mind causing an ugly green monster called jealousy to begin crawling its way out from deep inside him.
“A problem how?” The alpha on the other end sounded calm but the three youngest members could tell he was concerned. It was Felix who spoke up as Seungmin continued to push them away from the front door and down to the garage so they could be as far from the scent and sounds coming from the two of you as possible. “Bunny’s in heat.”
It was a few hours later and everyone was gathered at the company in their practice room, some members sat on the couch or on the floor with their backs pressed up against it while listening to Seungmin explain what had happened when they returned home.
Chan started to beat himself up mentally, if only he had been there or had called to check up more while they were all away maybe he would have caught it before and they could have separated you and Jisung before any of this had happened. Minho also seemed to be taking things hard, sitting silently as he rapidly sent text message after text message to both of you in hopes that the younger pack mates were wrong and misunderstood something.
Still, neither you nor Han answered any texts or calls from any of the pack members.
Seungmin was beside himself, choosing to sit with distance between him and the others after he was done explaining what had happened. He felt nauseous, unable to forget the combined smell of the two of you or the sounds of pleasure that rang throughout the dorm as they left. He was also unable to forget how they made his chest clench and his stomach drop, how every fiber of his being screamed for him to barge in and take you for himself and he hated that.
He wasn’t sure where those thoughts or feelings were coming from and it made him sick, hugging his knees to his chest as he curled in on him and shook his head to try and rid himself of the imaginary plaguing him.
Chan’s eyes were on him, silently asking if he was okay and when the younger caught his gaze he shook his head dismissively and gave a weak smile.
The leader sighed, running a hand through his hair as he began pacing. “Okay- so none of us can go back to the dorm for now. It’s unfortunate and I wish we could go in and get Han out as well but it’s probably too late now based on what the maknaes witnessed.” Felix and Jeongin let out whines of embarrassment, not wanting their feral states to be mentioned again.
Just as everyone was trying to come up with a game plan as to what to do with the situation at hand Minho’s phone began ringing and everyone’s attention was suddenly on the buzzing device in the second oldest’s hands. His eyes widened when he recognized Han’s contact name on the screen and frantically he answered, almost dropping the device in his haste. “Han-ah oh thank god we have been worried sick- the maknaes got home early and they said it smelled like an omega in heat and-“ the older alpha was cut off by the younger’s embarrassed chuckles. “Yeah Hyung- about that…”
Silence fell over the room as everyone stared at the phone now placed on speaker. Minho took a deep breath before answering again. “What about that, Han Jisung?” He all but growled, suddenly feeling a sense of protectiveness wash over him. “What happened?”
Suddenly your voice came over the phone, a little hoarse and laced with exhaustion but still loud enough for everyone to hear. “It should be safe for you to come back….pretty sure it’s over now.” There was small traces of embarrassment in your tone but Seungmin shot up at the sound of your voice. “Bunny are you okay?” He called out to you a little panicked before he could think to calm down before he spoke.
You giggled a little at how frantic he sounded, mind still a bit clouded and not fully understanding the weight of the situation in that moment, or not having the energy to be able to care whichever it was. “We’ll um…we’ll explain when everyone is here, yeah? Gotta clean up now if you guys are coming back-“
Everyone just stared at the phone at that before Chan cleared his throat and spoke up. “We will be back in thirty minutes with food, and you have a lot of explaining to do. Open the windows too, will you? Last thing we need is to all walk into a dorm hotboxed with omega heat pheromones.”
Both you and Han spoke words of understanding and quickly hung up to get started cleaning up each other and the dorm for everyone’s arrival back.
Just as Chan had said they arrived back at the dorm about a half hour later with take out in hand to see the two of you sat on the couch so close that your thighs were touching. Han was dressed in a pair of sweats and a loose fitting tshirt while you were wearing a pair of shorts and one of the alpha’s large hoodies, both of your hair was slightly damp showing that you had both showered and there was a slight chill in the air from where the both of you had opened all the windows in an attempt to air out your combined scent from the apartment to not set one of the other alphas off.
The food was sat on the coffee table and the leader gave everyone a look to stave off any questions until after everyone had eaten but especially the two of you. Knowing how heats could be and how none of you were expecting it there was no telling when the last time you had a full meal was in the two weeks they were gone.
It wasn’t until the food was finished and left over put away that Chan set the two of you with a look that told you it was time to spill the details of what exactly happened while the pack was away. “Okay, so you’re mad-“ Han spoke anxiously and you instinctively intertwined your fingers with his and pushed out your scent to calm him down.
“It wasn’t Han’s fault, Chan. Please just hear me out first.” The alpha leader raised an eyebrow at you curiously. “Okay, go on then.” He motioned for you to continue and you took a deep breath. “It started almost a week into you guys all being gone-“
It was late, and you were snuggled up on the couch with the alpha watching whatever drama he was currently invested in as you played with his new fluffy curls absentmindedly. His fever seemed to have broken the day prior and besides a mild stuffy nose his symptoms had disappeared over night.
Still a bit lethargic, you agreed to yet another cuddle session as the two of you had become accustomed to over the course of his cold. It was something you used as a reward to get the alpha to keep up with taking his medicine, and you’re sure it was what helped him recover so quickly.
The smell of fresh coffee grounds had long since seeped into your skin as did the scent of orange blossoms into his own, and as he drifted in and out of sleep laying against your chest on the couch he found himself nuzzling against your body with a little groan as there was still a slight ache in his bones. “Hanji? Feeling okay?” You spoke softly, still carding your fingers through soft brown curls.
Han nodded shortly, wiggling a bit to get more comfortable against you and you let out a laugh. “Careful there you almost elbowed me in the ribcage, Ji.” He looked up with wide, apologetic eyes and you simply gave a kiss to the top of his head as an acceptance of his silent apology.
The days spent alone with him were mostly blissful, besides the few times you had to fight him to eat so he could take his medicine, or struggling to get him into the shower when his fever was too strong and you needed to cool him down under the icy spray clad in nothing but his boxers.
You had grown closer to the alpha and had a way of understanding each other that you didn’t have with the others, even Seungmin or Minho. The timer on your phone went off, signaling it time for his next round of medicine. “Come on, Hanji time to let me up.”
With a pout, he reluctantly moved to let you up. The alpha watched as you got up and made your way to the kitchen to get his medicine and a snack to take it with. Opting to make him some toast with nutella, one of the only things you had been able to get him to stomach, you placed two sliced of bread into the toaster and reached up into the cabinet for the chocolate spread.
As you reached up your back arched slightly and the sight caused something to stir in the alpha, mouth watering slightly and head beginning to cloud over. “Bun-“ he said softly, barely audible so you couldn’t hear him over the soft sounds of the tv and the toaster popping up. You continued on, making his snack before you began pouring the medicine into the little cup provided.
You hadn’t been paying attention, not realizing that the alpha had gotten up and crossed the room, arms caging you in against the counter. You felt his presence and slowly turned around to face him, toast and medicine forgotten on the counter behind you. “Hannie?” His pupils were blown, normally soft brown eyes almost black as he stared down at you with a low growl rumbling in his chest. “You smell so sweet…” he said, leaning down to nose at your scent gland causing you to gasp. “Han Jisung- are you…oh god you’re in-“
With both hands placed flat against his chest you pushed him back, taking him by surprise and causing him to stumble back and come to his senses slightly. “Fuck, I’m sorry Bunny- I need to go.” He stuttered out, moving frantically to his room and slamming the door behind him.
You were left standing in the kitchen, blinking at the space he once stood as you tried to think of what to do. You couldn’t hear anything but the sound of the tv still playing the show you were both watching, but the scent of roast coffee began to fill the dorm so heavily you almost felt dizzy.
While you could still think clearly, you made your way to his room and knocked on the door loud enough you’re sure he could hear. “Go away-“ came the rapper’s voice from deep in the room. “Han, please let me in….I-“ you took a deep breath, nodding to yourself that this was something you wanted to do. “I can help you, if you want…”
Time seemed to pass in slow motion as you waited for a response. After a while you felt the door move slightly as if someone were leaning all of their weight against it from the opposite side. “A-Are you sure? That’s….I wouldn’t ask that much of you if you weren’t sure-“ A soft smile fell on your face as the fondness you felt for the alpha rapper warmed your heart and you nodded until you realized he couldn’t see you. “Yes, I’m sure. Let me in, please?”
Without hesitation, the door opened and you were pulled inside with a little yelp of surprise that soon turned into a low moan as you felt Jisung’s lips against your own.
“It didn’t take long for him to trigger my heat once we uh- got started….” The pack all stated at you with varying levels of shock or amusement, though Chan held a blank stare at the two of you as he was deep in thought.
Hyunjin was the one who spoke up next, head tilted to the side as he observed you. “Must’ve been some rut to trigger your heat through your suppressants.”
You looked down at your lap, mumbling something that caused the leader to speak up. “Sorry, don’t think I quite caught that.”
“I haven’t been able to get suppressants since I moved here but I didn’t want to worry you guys with that-“
The leader let out a deep sigh and shook his head, eyes closed tight before looking to where you and Han still sat side by side on the couch. “You should have called me.” You let out a little scoff, turning away from him. “I hate to break it to you, Christopher, but we are grown adults.”
Chan glared, stepping closer as you stood from your spot and met him halfway. “I’m the leader and it’s my job to keep you both safe. What if something went wrong and no one else was here, hm? You weren’t thinking.” You shot him a glare of your own, not believing he was acting like this. “Packs help each other with ruts and heats all the time, it’s not that big of a deal.”
The leader growled, anger bubbling in his chest as he stood impossibly close and you swore his eyes shown red instead of their normal brown. “Yeah well you aren’t pack, are you?” His words stung, causing you to deflate visibly and take a step away from the alpha.
Immediately he regretted his words, his mind scrambling for a way to take them back. “Oh.” Was all you said, the smell of rotten citrus permeating the area and causing Minho to come to your side from where he had been sitting on the other side of the room. “Chan didn’t mean that, Bunny. He’s just upset- right, hyung?” Before the oldest could answer you were shaking your head and backing away towards your room. “No, he’s right. I’m not- I’m not part of your pack.” And with that you retreated into the room and locked yourself inside.
Now it was Han’s turn to get defensive, rising from the couch and stepping up to the leader. “What the actual fuck, Chan?! You always preach at us to keep our temper under control and then you go and pull a stunt like that?” A low growl erupted from the younger alpha’s chest as he gestured wildly. “I get it, we fucked up- there was a better way we could have gone about things but that’s over and done with now but you just have to go and make it all worse huh? Geez give her a fucking break, give us a break! It’s not like we planned this!”
With a glare thrown the leader’s way, Han began storming off after you. Minho went to follow and the younger simply shook his head. “Not now, Min.” With a gentle knock on the door it opened just enough for the alpha to enter before shutting again and the sound of the lock clicking back into place could be heard.

Aaaand the second one! This one is an original of mine!
Based on the audio and scenes from Over Drive with Mackenyu. (Minutes 56:00 and 1:21:00 for those interested)
HECTIC LIFE
The end of the year was by far the most packed time of the year for K-pop idols. There were a lot of back-to-back performances, most of the time 2, 3, 4 days in a row, even more. A lot of these took part in different countries, which meant different time zones and of course, no rest.
They could be in Korea one day for a performance, finish this performance, and go straight to the airport to go to another country for another one. Inhumane is not enough to describe this hectic schedule.
Some of these events were MAMA, Gayo Daejeon, Gayo Daejejeon, Gayo Daechukje, you name it.
It was hectic and exhausting but it also had some of the best performances from all the groups, which meant fans were both angry at the packed schedules and excited for the performances.
Stray Kids had already performed in Korea, went to Japan, then Hong Kong, and now back to Korea, to say they were tired was an understatement.
They were now scheduled to perform at MAMA and the nerves were up to the roof. MAMA was known to not work properly in a lot of ways, awards, cameras, and stages, sometimes it felt like something went wrong every single time. Wanting to know if they would win an award and if everything would work out, just added to their nervousness.
Getting to the venue, they were all dressed beautifully, earning defeating screams from STAYs and blinding flashes all around.
They would pose with a smile or a serious face, but no matter what, Lee Know's expression just wasn't normal.
Even before leaving the dorm, Lee Know was already feeling weird, tired, and more nervous than he thought. There was an eerie feeling lingering in his mind, telling him something would go wrong today.
At first, they went to the gallery for the first part of the awards, where all the fans could see them and they could watch the other idols' performances.
While the others were clearly enjoying the performances, Lee Knows was a bit restless but still tried to jump in with the others, knowing that his strange actions would catch the attention of the fans and the members.
They would perform towards the end and that was almost killing him, he wasn't feeling his best and he just wanted to get this performance done with and rest in the dressing room or go back to the dorms.
Halfway into the ceremony, that eerie feeling had gotten a little stronger and more present, he felt his chest tightening as if he couldn't breathe properly. Anxiety? He didn't know, but he needed to get away from all this and try to recollect himself.
- Hyung.
He said leaning towards Chan. Usually during these ceremonies, they needed to ask the staff to leave the area, for safety reasons.
- What?
- I need to go to the restroom.
- Okay.
Chan called one of the staff, so they could accompany Lee Know. He didn't really want that, he needed space, especially because if something happened the staff would let the members and their own staff know as well. And despite feeling weird and unwell, he still didn't want to disappoint STAYs and not perform.
He left with the staff following him and the walk to the restroom made his apparent anxiety a little worse. And he could only hope the staff didn't notice his increasingly rapid breathing.
Getting to the restroom he locked the door behind him and went to the sink.
He looked at his complexion in the mirror and noticed he was a little pale and starting to sweat. But that was not his concern at the moment, he needed to calm down before he started to hyperventilate.
He grabbed the edges of the sink, closed his eyes, and focused on his breathing. He tried mimicking what Chan did with him once when he had a panic attack because of his acrophobia.
He counted inside his head, trying to match his breathing to the tempo Chan taught him. It took a few minutes, which worried him that the members would notice and question him, but it worked.
However, after this, he noticed he was a little more sweaty than before and his makeup was mostly gone, and getting back to where the others were like that, would raise suspicion and worry the fans.
He gently wiped the sweat off his face, got out of the restroom and, asked for his staff to touch up his makeup before returning and hoped they wouldn't notice anything. And they didn't, thankfully.
He got back to the others and they didn't ask him anything either so he thought he was safe but little did he know Chan had already picked up on his strange behavior since earlier.
Another hour into the ceremony, they had won an award and Lee Know shivered at the thought of going on stage before the performance. He sucked it up and proudly walked on stage with the member, trying to keep his face as natural as possible, and gave a brief speech of acceptance.
After this, there would be one performance, then it was their turn so they went to the dressing room. And that's when the eerie feeling Lee Know felt earlier completely settled in.
They were all hyped, going over the choreo, getting their makeup done, hair, and clothing, mentally and physically preparing for a 9-10 minute non-stop performance. It was no easy task even when they were in top condition, let alone when they weren't feeling well like Lee Know was.
The dressing room was full of people, with the members and staff altogether. As Lee Know was getting dressed, he started to feel off again, but this time it was stronger.
The eerie feeling from before, which made him have a mild anxiety attack, now came back as a strong wave of nausea. His stomach was flipping and turning and he could feel something creeping up his chest. He was going to be sick.
He quickly finished getting dressed and left the room without anyone noticing. Once he was out of that crowded and stuffy dressing room, the nausea grew stronger, as if his body knew he was alone and wanted to get everything out. He darted off to the bathroom when he felt something hit the back of his throat. Some people in the hallway noticed him but he didn't care, he just needed to get to the bathroom and pray no one else was there, the last thing he needed was someone hearing him being sick.
Thankfully the bathroom was empty, he entered one of the stalls and locked the door behind him, as he bent over the toilet, hands on the wall for support. He squeezed his eyes and tried breathing deeply, he knew it wouldn't matter but even so, he also knew that getting sick right now could jeopardize his performance in a few minutes.
He only managed to control it for a few seconds, and then his stomach jumped and contracted, making him lurch forward as he threw up the food he had earlier.
Back in the dressing room, the boys were almost all ready so Chan was checking if everything was in place and everyone had their outfits and makeup done, and then he noticed Lee Know wasn't there, and his instincts told him something was definitely wrong, like he suspected earlier.
- Kids, has anyone seen Lee Know?
- No. But I think he left a few minutes ago.
- Okay. I'll go look for him, the rest of you finish getting ready, we're up in a few.
- Okay, hyung!
Chan left the dressing room to look for Lee Know, but he knew exactly where his dongsaeng was, so he went straight to the bathroom.
Getting there, he moved to the one stall that was locked and he heard a rather loud retch coming from inside then something hitting the water in the toilet. Just like he suspected, Lee Know was sick.
Chan wanted to get in there and help his dongsaeng but if he dealt with it alone until now, it meant he didn't want to show this side of him, at least not today. As a leader and hyung, he knew that trying to reach out to Lee Know could have the opposite result and get the boy even more worked up.
So he just stood by the door, listening as Lee Know retched and gagged up another strong wave. Chan couldn't help but grimace a little and make the decision of not helping him. He could only hope Lee Know would be able to perform like he knew he wanted, and that nothing happened on stage.
Chan went back to the dressing room and was immediately questioned about Lee Know, and he only gave a lame excuse and said he was just in the bathroom and coming back to get ready.
Back in the bathroom, Lee Know was feeling like his stomach still had a lot to get rid of. He was still in the same position, bent over the toilet, spitting out saliva, only waiting for the next wave, which came eventually.
As liquid hit the back of his throat, a foul taste took over his mouth and immediately came out, mixing with the putrid mess inside the toilet. He knew that it was getting close to the time of the performance so he needed to recollect himself and head back to the dressing room. He spat out one more time before flushing the toilet and then straightened his back and took deep breaths, trying to control himself and his stomach.
He finally calmed himself down and walked out of the stall to rinse his mouth and look in the mirror if his clothes had any vomit on them. Thankfully everything was clean, his expression looked tired but he still had to get his makeup done which would help hide it a bit.
He headed back to the dressing room and just like Chan, said he was only in the bathroom. He sat on the chair to get his makeup done.
Everyone was ready, only the final touch-ups, and headed to the stage. Ash they were lined up, Chan made sure everyone was good to go and then went to Lee Know.
- Hey, you good?
- Yeah. I'm fine.
- Okay, then. STRAY KIDS ALL AROUND THE WORLD, YOU MAKE STRAY KIDS STAY.
Chan yelled to get their spirits up and entered the stage.
The screams from the fans were deafening but incredibly encouraging and for a brief moment, Lee Knows forgot how he was feeling and started the performance.
He sang and danced like he was on his best day while being one of his worst so far. A few minutes into the performance, Lee Know felt tired and weird, his stomach was jumping, flipping around, and hurting with each movement, and thought he wouldn't be able to finish the performance.
At one point in choreography, he kneeled and Chan was right in front of him and mouthed.
- Are you okay?
Lee Know just nodded, whatever strength he had left he needed to store to finish everything and get out of there.
Throughout the rest of the performance, Lee Know couldn't quite hide his painful expressions anymore but danced and sang through his discomfort, and Chan glued his eyes on him, preparing for anything that could happen.
By the end, Lee Know was exhausted, he didn't know how he was still standing or how he hadn't thrown up yet. He kept his composure until the moment the lights were out, that's when his exhaustion took over him.
He would've fallen on the ground if Chan didn't catch him on time. The older boy tried helping him to his feet but he had lost all strength in his legs, so Chan basically carried him out, followed by six worried kids.
Once they were backstage, Lee Know felt something rush up his chest and broke away from Chan's hold, he knew he was gonna vomit and he wanted to get away from him, to not risk it getting on him.
He stumbled to a walk and leaned on it as a thick stream of vomit gushed out of him hitting the ground with a sickening sound and startling everyone.
- Minho-ah!
Chan ran to his dongsaeng's side quickly holding him as the boy swayed when another wave came out.
- That's it, get everything out, hyung is right here.
Chan was Lee Know's only hyung in the group and his warm presence always allowed him to act like a dongsaeng, it always broke his walls.
Chan started rubbing Lee Know's back and chest to help the boy get through another round of vomiting, the boys watching back with worried eyes.
- Chan-hyung, what's wrong with him?
- I don't know exactly but he's been acting off since we left the dorm and I caught him vomiting when we were getting dressed. I didnt-
He was interrupted by the sound of retching coming from Lee Knows as his stomach contracted bringing up more putrid liquid, arching his back painfully.
- Keep going, Minho-ah. You're doing good.
After this wave, Lee Know was feeling ten times more exhausted than before, his breathing was still erratic and his vision was getting blurry and dark.
He tried to deal with this on his own all day, containing every need to call his hyung, even when he really wanted him by his side and now that he was, he felt completely worn out.
- Hyung....I really don't feel well...
He said, leaning most of his weight on Chan before fainting, the oldest managing to hold him and gently guiding him to the ground and laying him on the ground.
- Can someone get the medical staff? Quickly!
Chan ordered and the staff quickly scattered to find them, while the boys stood nearby, with worried faces.
- Why didn't he tell us?
- You know how he is. Just like me, he doesn't want to show, he prefers to deal with things on his own. I knew but didn't tell you out of respect for him. Not my best decision as a leader.
The medical staff came and checked his vitals, his heartbeat was still fast but mainly due to the performance and his blood pressure was a bit lower than normal.
- We need to move him to the dressing room, he might need an IV.
- Alright.
Chan picked him up on his back and took him to the dressing room, followed by the staff and the members.
The staff stretched out a mattress on the ground for Lee Know and Chan carefully settled him there. The medical staff lifted his legs up, so his blood would flow back and started prepping the IV.
- How many times did he vomit?
- For all I can tell, twice.
- Okay. We'll put him on IV fluids just for precaution that he might be a little dehydrated and exhausted. It might've been a case of overwork and anxiety, I don't think it's a bug or anything since he doesn't have a fever.
- Alright. What should we do?
The leader asked.
- Just let him rest. He shouldn't move for a while, I'd advise a little break but that's a decision for your doctor and the company.
- Thank you.
As they were talking, Lee Know's senses started to come back, and as a common symptom of fainting, he felt incredibly nauseous all of a sudden. He was barely awake when he gagged, catching the attention of the members and medical staff.
- Turn him to his side.
Chan helped the staff move Lee Know so he wouldn't choke as he threw up a thin stream of vomit mixed with bile, Chan rubbing his back and keeping still.
Lee Know coughed a few times and another tiny wave came out.
He was still getting back to his senses, trying to understand what was happening and who were all these people, he was so confused he reached out to his safe place, Chan.
- Hyung....what's going on?
He asked weakly, looking at the access on his arm and holding Chan's shirt.
- You don't remember?
- It's kind of fuzzy...
- You threw up as soon as you came off stage and then passed out. The medical staff said it might've been a case of overwork and anxiety. They put you in IV fluids because you might be dehydrated.
- I'm sorry...I'm sorry for worrying you...
- Don't apologize. I noticed but I figured you wouldn't want anyone to see you like this.
- Sorry...
- Stop apologizing. But what were you feeling exactly?
- I don't know...I just felt weird when we left the dorms...like, something would go wrong. When we were watching the performances, I felt unwell, it felt like a panic attack and then before going on stage, my stomach felt off.
- Then it might've been exhaustion.
- Hyung, we'll stay here with you for a bit before we leave for the gallery again.
Changbin said smiling and kneeling beside Lee Know
- Thanks...
- How are you feeling?
'm tired...and really nauseous...
- Do you wanna puke again?
- Not now...
Lee Know closed his eyes to try to recollect himself, his heartbeat was back to normal as well as his breathing, but his stomach was still in turmoil.
The other members took this time to take a breather and Changbin stood by Lee Know's side and gave him a massage on his neck to try to relax his hyung.
- Woah... This feels good...thanks Changbin-ah...
- you're welcome, hyung.
Lee Know enjoyed the massage as much as he could before he started feeling nauseous again.
- Changbin-ah, can you help me up?
- Sure.
Changbin put his arms under Lee Know's gently helped him sit up and stood behind him keeping him steady.
- Hyung, are you gonna throw up?
- Maybe...
- Can someone pass me a bucket?
- Here.
Chan brought the bucket and placed it in front of Lee Know. Now that he was conscious, he didn't want to be sick anymore, even though everyone knew he was sick, he still didn't want to show.
He closed his eyes and took deep breaths, focusing on Changbin who was still massaging his nape. He suppressed a gag and started swallowing convulsively, clenching his fists until his knuckles turned white, his mouth went numb and his eyes were watery.
- Hyung, if you need to be sick just go ahead. No one will judge you. We are all family here.
Changbin started rubbing Lee Know's back up and down trying to relax him and stimulate him, but he was still fighting the urge. Chan noticed it and talked to the others, telling them to back away and focus on other stuff, while he moved to Lee Know's side blocking him from the others' view.
- Hey, hey. Hyung's right here, okay? No one is seeing you.
Changbin kept on rubbing his back while Chan stood by his side, blocking the view and keeping a firm hand on his shoulder.
The motion of rubbing his back from his lower back to his shoulder blades seemed to have stimulated him enough as he leaned a bit forward letting out a wet burp. Chan decided to grab the bucket and get it a little closer to Lee Know, who let out one more wet burp that was immediately followed by a gag that brought up more of his stomach's content.
Changbin was still rubbing his back while he puked up another wave of putrid liquid, the stench starting to fill the room.
- That's it, hyung.
Changbin reassured.
Lee Know took a couple of deep breaths but his stomach was on a mission to make him feel miserable and made him lurch forward, his back arching painfully.
- Oh god.
Chan said as he and Changbin held Lee Know firmly, steadying him so he wouldn't fall over.
He lurched forward one more time, ducking his head on the bucket, Chan decided to hold his dongsaeng's bangs out of the way as Changbin pat his back to help him vomit whatever got stuck in his throat.
After another round came up and then he was left dry heaving, face pale and sweaty and his skin felt clammy to the touch as Chan noticed. He also noticed Lee Know was panting again, his chest heaving up and down.
- Hyung...it's hard to breathe...
He said weakly, his expression was clearly uncomfortable and his difficulty breathing was evident.
- Let's get you out of this clothes. They are too tight. Can you stand for a while? Just so we can change your clothes? Hyung and Changbin will hold you.
- Thanks hyung...
Chan and Changbin put their arms around Lee Know and slowly propped him up and made sure he wasn't dizzy before moving him to a more secluded place. Lee Know had a scar on his abdomen that he didn't like showing around, only the members saw it and out of respect Chan decided to take him somewhere else to change clothes.
Lee Know's legs were like jelly, he could barely put any strength on them, so Chan and Changbin were basically caring him. When they were out of view, Chan started to help Lee Know undress and Changbin stood behind ready hold him in case he felt faint again.
- Raise your arms.
Chan helped him out put on a loose shirt, he was sure those tight clothing were doing more harm than good, and some sweatpants. But all the movement upset his stomach again. Damn it, he just didn't seem to be able to take a break today. But this time he was so tired he couldn't even warn them about it and just lurched forward as his stomach continued on its mission to empty itself.
- Oh!
- S-sorry-.
- No no, it's okay. Don't worry about it.
Chan said as he held him steady. He didn't have much left other then stomach fluids and the last bit of what seemed to be last week's food.
- Let's get you on the couch. You need to lay down or you'll faint again.
They did the same and guided Lee Know to the couch, carefully laying him down and covering him. The medical staff checked his vitals one more time, they were mostly normal, except for his blood pressure which was still low, so they kept him in IV fluids for the time being.
And then it was time for the others to go back to the gallery to watch the rest of the ceremony and hopefully win other awards.
- Minho-ah, try to rest okay? We'll come back soon and go home, okay?
- Okay...thanks hyung...
Thankfully they had really awesome managers and they stayed with Lee Know when the others left. They helped Lee Know as he got sick a few more times before basically passing out.
The group did win other awards and upon getting to the stage to get the award and make a speech, they knew everyone would noticed the absence of a member.
So Chan took the responsibility of explaining what happened without much details, saying Lee Know felt unwell after the performance and was resting and that he was happy to get the award.
The ceremony was finally over and the members rushed to the dressing room to check on Lee Know and the managers explained he vomited a few times and then was knocked out.
They changed their clothes and gathered everything so they could leave the venue and get Lee Know home so he could properly rest.
The company later issued a statement explaining Lee Know's absence on stage at the end of the ceremony and announcing he'd take a little break to fully recover.
He didnt like to miss out on any schedules, especially performances but he was thankful for his hyung and his dongsaengs who took care of him during the week he was recovering.

never be | bang chan
☆ part 1/8 of the 5 seconds of stray kids series ☆
words: 1.31k // warnings: slightly suggestive
“we should run away. start a new life away from this black-and-white town.”
the first time chan had suggested such a thing, you were curled up together in his bed, soft music playing in the background - but you never would've thought he was serious.
packing up the last box of belongings, you got a bit emotional looking at the blank slate that once was your childhood bedroom. it was crazy to think that in a few hours, you’d be on your way to your new home in a whole new city, hand-in-hand with your boyfriend. leaving the home you’d been in for the past 24 years was scary, but you genuinely couldn’t fathom anything better than being in your forever home with the love of your life.
you’d purposely arranged for chan, with the movers and moving van in tow, to come and collect your stuff while your parents were at work - you couldn’t bear to see them cry over it, and they definitely would; watching your only child leave home would do that to anyone. honestly, for a while your dad tried to talk you out of leaving. while he truly adored and approved of chan, he was so fiercely protective of you that you weren’t sure if he’d ever been fully comfortable with your moving out.
but regardless, you’d both saved and you’d worked multiple jobs all while going through college to get yourself to this point. you and chan had found the perfect two-bedroom apartment in daejeon and snatched it up the second you could. rent wasn’t going to be the cheapest you could’ve found, but you had both secured full-time jobs in the city, and now you both had degrees moving up in the industries of your careers would be easier. the apartment was gorgeous, and having a guest bedroom was perfect - you could have friends stay over, and maybe eventually it could be turned into a nursery for your future children (though that wasn’t in your immediate plans).
from the second a red-faced chan had asked you to be his girlfriend in the cafeteria in ninth grade, you knew you had bagged a keeper. he had always been so sweet and attentive to you, and you were thrilled to share so many firsts with him. first boyfriend, first date, first kiss, first time. now your first home could be added to the list. he truly was perfect in every sense of the word. you both went to a local college after high-school, so you didn’t have to travel and commit to long-distance which, in all honesty, you were thankful for. you loved chan, but long-distance may have been too hard for you to cope, after having him by your side for so many years.
while leaving your childhood city would be strange, you both knew it was time. it held so much comfort, and so many wonderful memories for you both, and would always be special to you. but, on the other hand, you knew that if you didn’t leave now, you would be stuck there forever. you adored your little black and white town, but venturing to the big city seemed only natural for the pair of you.
you indulged yourself a little longer, sat on your bedroom floor and reminiscing on everything you had experience in your childhood home. from the day you were born it had been your home, and although you would always be welcome by your parents to use it as a guest room when you visited, you couldn’t help the melancholy feeling in your bones.
before long, you heard a beep outside before a ding on your phone, quickly checking it to see that chan had arrived. smiling widely, you stood up, not even noticing you had been crying until you caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror. you quickly wiped your eyes before rushing down the stairs and flinging the front door open, to be greeted with your love. chan was stood with a massive grin on his face, almost giddy from the excitement of moving in with you.
“hi, baby.” he breathed, pulling you in for a tight hug. “you ready to get this show on the road?”
“so ready, my love. forever and ever with you.” you grinned, linking your pinky with his own.
it was something that happened once, chan making you swear to look after him forever and ever with a pinkie promise after he came down really sick with the freshers’ flu a few weeks into your freshman year of college. from then, it just kind of became your thing. linked pinkies at any opportunity. ‘forever and ever’ being practically interchangeable with ‘i love you’. having a little quirk or tradition to call your own was nice, but then again, when it came to chan you were pretty biased.
you were both luckily able to stay out of the way while the movers filled the truck with your belongings, along with chan’s which were already there. you had found a relatively cheap couch and bed frame along with a mattress on a selling site, which had already been moved to the apartment the day before to save space in the moving truck. you had opted to keep your key to your parents’ house (with their permission) in the event of you coming to visit them, so once the truck was packed, you grabbed your handbag and locked the door to your childhood home, a wave of both relief and sorrow washing over you before you hopped into chan’s car to begin the journey to your forever.
the drive was nice - the roads were relatively clear and quiet, yours and chan’s playlist blaring from his car speakers as you watched the streets of your childhood town pass you by. chan was quite quiet during the drive too, you noticed half way through the journey - but he quickly assured you he was okay, just embracing the idea of starting adult life with you in your own home. you grasped onto his hand over the center console, having him close giving your body a shock to rid itself of the anxiety, instead filling you with an anxious adrenaline and excitement.
the next few hours flew by in a flash - the apartment having boxes scattered everywhere and tear-filled phone calls to your parents and all your friends. you both had a week before you started your jobs, purely so you could unpack and settle into your home, so you allowed yourselves to have a night to relax. chan ordered in takeaway, talking to the restaurant on the phone as you loaded up a movie on your laptop, not yet having sorted your tv and only just managing to get the wifi working.
you were surprised with how fast the food was delivered, barely halfway into the first movie of the night when a knock on the door rung out through the apartment. cha, of course, had refused to let you get up from your blanket cocoon on the couch, jogging over to the door with a smile and returning with his arms full of warm and delicious food for you to indulge in during the night. you couldn’t help but smile as you watched him dart around, digging through a box for cutlery. he just looked so perfect - grey sweatpants, and a tank top adorning his figure, his hair all ruffled up from your previous makeout session on the couch (he insisted that you had to ‘christen’ the couch on your first night in the apartment). he truly was a beautiful sight, and if this wasn’t what heaven looked like then you didn’t want to end up there.
the pair of you shared many giggles as you ate your food, various movies playing simply as background noise, reveling in the fact that you’d done it. you’d made it. you were in your forever home, with your forever love, starting your happily ever after. it was overwhelming, and exciting, and beautiful, and you weren’t sure anything could get better in that moment.
after all, you’d never be as young as you are now.

Warnings: mentions blood and bleeding, crossbow as a weapon, werewolf attacks, non-sexual nudity, implied deceased parents, minor character death, (temporary?) major character death, honestly people in this just keep dying, one mention at the cliché power of true love
Words: 5k
Author’s note: this is not the “if you ever write fluff Beomgyu” that’s been on my to write list for ages but here, take something darker, sorry and love you @lily-blue <3

The snow felt crispy under Beomgyu’s boots. The crunching sound was loud in the quiet forest, and it scared some birds off the tree branches as he got closer. But not close enough. He didn’t have much time to reach his grandmother’s wooden guesthouse; sunset was already dancing on the horizon, painting the whitewashed scenery in hues of golden and carmine.
The boy hardened his grip over the bag over his shoulder and yanked the hood of his red robe over his head with the other, protecting his curly locks from snow frost. He panted hard, his cheeks rosy from the cold and urgency as he crossed the frozen creek, counting down the steps he still needed to take to reach safety.
He should have left the village earlier, he should have known that he would be slowed down by the snow and dead branches along the way. He should have known better than to accept Yeonjun’s mulled wine and listen to his sob story about a girl that got away. Too late. It was already too late to wonder about what ifs and wrong decisions, he needed to hurry.
Between tree trunks, the outline of the snow-covered wooden structure finally appeared within reach. Beomgyu let himself look around and behind, feeling paranoid even because of the small noises of the animals finding shelter just as hastily as him. He was almost there. He was almost out of time.
He sped up his steps, his boots leaving ugly imprints in the snow while his panting became panicky loud. It was getting darker with each step he took.
Just three more. Two. One…
For exactly one moment, eerily long and quiet, the world stood still, stuck in the limbo between night and day, day and night. And then, all the light went out as the Sun disappeared beyond the woods. The stars barely flickered without the light of their companion, the Moon. It was the darkest night of the month.
The boy shakily drew in a breath, the puffs of his breathing visible in the dark. His hand lingered over the doorknob, frozen in place, trembling from the cold. Quiet. He needed to stay quiet and calm.
Beingyu gulped, weighing his chances, before he reached out and twisted the knob. The metal cracked and just then he heard footsteps behind him.
When Beomgyu was younger, he didn’t believe the woods was a dangerous place like other kids his age did. This was his home, his playground, his childhood. He had visited the old guesthouse more often than he could count on his tiny fingers. He thought that all those terrible stories were only his grandmother’s way of scaring him like how she said he wouldn’t grow taller if he didn’t eat his veggies or that evil fairies would kidnap him if he didn’t lock his door well. He didn’t believe in any of those silly warnings.
But then everything changed when he met you.
It was a scorching hot summer and you almost killed him.
The arrow pierced into the tree trunk barely centimeters away from his shoulder as he got up from the raspberry bush he was trying to clear off the sweet fruit. He got away with only a scratch on the back of his hand because in his startled state he managed to get caught up in the branches. He was so taken aback, he didn’t even notice the ting of pain as blood dribbled from the thin wound onto the ground until you pointed it out.
“You okay? Sorry, I didn’t see you there. Oh, shit, you’re bleeding.”
Beomgyu was probably more shocked about the fact that a girl his age, not more than sixteen, appeared by his side than the pain registering in his brain. He hissed as you took his hand and blew on the wound, mesmerized by how practiced you looked as you took a handkerchief out of your little bag and wrapped it around his palm. He felt his pale cheeks bloom into a rose garden. It was like a scene from one of his grandmother’s beloved romance stories, only that it was usually the other way around: a gentleman treating a lady’s wound and the boy, raging with teenage hormones, didn’t know how to feel about being forced into the role of a damsel in distress. But looking at you next to him, he knew there would be no doubts about these roles. After all it was him with a bucket full of sweets and you were the one holding a deadly weapon and the most beautiful smile he had ever seen.
“What are you doing out here with that?” He finally found his voice and pointed at the crossbow in your hand. It probably wasn’t the best thing he could have said but this was what he was the most curious about. What was a girl like you doing in the woods instead of being at home, helping your mother with dinner?
“Practicing,” you shrugged as if it was normal to walk around with a deadly weapon. “My brother is teaching me to hunt.”
Oh, that made sense. Beomgyu had only ever seen huntsmen with that kind of thing. But he had known every huntsman in the village since he had lived there his whole life and he was sure that he had never seen you before. The next one was miles away, on the other side of the woods, so he wondered whether you and your brother were from there. Or maybe you were one of those families living in the woods, hunting for a living from meal to meal?
“Hunt what? Rabbits?” The boy found himself asking, feeling silly, because you didn’t look like you were malnourished, struggling to find something to eat, nor did you look like you could have hurt a fly with that easygoing smile on your cherry lips. Even your eyes shone like innocent stars when you laughed at his question.
“Nah. The kind of things that would kill us first if we didn’t kill them.”
Beomgyu narrowed his eyebrows, feeling stupid and out of place. The wound on the back of his hand started to pound as his heartbreak picked up. Did you really just say kill?
“Like wolves and bears?”
“Yeah, exactly like wolves,” you chuckled, somehow finding his reaction amusing and took the crossbow into your left hand, letting it fall next to your body as you extended your right towards him. “I’m Y/N by the way.”
“I’m Beomgyu,” he said as he tentatively took your hand and shook on it. Your hands felt rough against his skin. It tickled.
“I have to go before my brother starts looking for me but it was nice to meet you, Beomgyu. Be more careful next time. The woods is a more dangerous place than it looks,” you looked him deeply in the eyes, way too serious for a sixteen year old and the boy couldn’t look away. He was stuck in those dark orbs and wondered whether it was you who stole the stars from the sky every month.
He was dreaming of your bright eyes later that night.
Beomgyu’s grandmother told him that your family was bad news. That he should have kept far away from you. Easier said than done. The boy felt himself gravitating towards you like a moth to flame, not afraid of getting burnt.
He wandered around in the woods, humming folk songs to himself, hoping to catch a sight of you again. You were unlike any other girl he knew from the village. The boy kept your handkerchief tucked neatly in his pocket. He had washed the blood off it until it was white as fresh snow and smelled like nothing but chamomile. He thought it would give him a good excuse why he was looking for you. Just common courtesy, he tried to convince himself but the handkerchief was long forgotten when one day he finally saw you in the middle of the valley.
It was full of poppies and daisies, their petals painting the green scenery with red and white dots. You wore a simple pastel brown dress as you sat in the middle of the colorful cavalcade. From that distance he couldn’t tell what you were doing but as he got closer it became obvious that you picked up flowers and put them into your basket. It reminded him of his tasks when his grandmother needed ingredients for her creams.
Beomgyu was still a good ten meters away when you must have noticed his approach because you turned and looked straight at him, suspicious at first but soon recognizing him.
“Oh, hi!” You greeted him with a smile, casual and kind. Sure, your heart must not have been doing excited little jumps in your chest like his. He still couldn't believe his luck. After long weeks and even longer months passed, seasons changed and the spring bloom came, you were right in front of him again.
“Are you not practicing hunting today?” He found himself asking a bit awkwardly but you didn’t seem to mind. Your smile was still the same as you shook your head.
“No. My brother is sick, so I’m collecting marigold flowers. It’s good for the body, you know,” you told him, reaching for the next bright-colored piece.
Actually Beomgyu knew, his grandmother taught him well, so for once he believed it was a useful knowledge because this way he could sit down next to you and tell you all about the other herb and plant health benefits that he knew of.
Beomgyu told you about his village too. About how the Sunday market was the most eventful thing over the week. Or how the baker’s daughter ran away with a boy from the next town and it had been such a scandal. You seemed invested in his stories. Sitting cross legged in the middle of the meadow, you smiled at him like he was the Sun. It made him a little shy, just like when your fingers touched over the basket. Just a small yet thrilling feeling.
“We only visit the villages when we need to buy something or have something to sell. I rarely meet new people,” you admitted, your fascination with his boring stories suddenly making more sense to the boy but he couldn’t help but wonder why you lived so secluded from other people.
“Are you living in the woods then?” He inquired, watching intently as your long, messy hair fell into your eyes after you nodded.
“Yeah. Me and my brother with a few others.”
Beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows, confused. Others? Strangers? His grandmother had told him about people at the edge of society who lived together despite not sharing a blood relation. Beomgyu had always imagined them a little wild.
“Your parents?” He blurted out with a closed throat.
“It’s just the two of us,” you shook your head, keeping your gaze on the flowers in your lap. You removed the tiny orange petals one by one. “He’s more important to me than anything.”
The boy hadn’t had siblings of his own, so he didn’t know whether that kind of devotion was normal or not but he could understand the importance of having only one living relative and the co-dependence of it. So he told you about why it was his grandmother who brought him up and when you put your hand on his, his heart fluttered.
It became a habit to meet at the meadow.
You sneaked away from your brother and he always took a detour on his grandmother’s errands.
Sometimes you walked over to the trickling creek or fed birds in the middle of the woods. Sometimes you just lay side by side in the shadow of the trees, watching the white puff of clouds move over the perfectly blue sky. Over time you found more and more to talk about, more things you unexpectedly had in common (like the preference of apple pies over cherry ones or the smell of chamomile over lavender) and Beomgyu was too enamored already to notice the signs. That the blush on your cheek was a bruise or that it wasn’t a joke when you said you would become a hunter like your brother.
The first time Beomgyu had seen one of your preys, he was nineteen and already irrevocably in love.
It was already dark by the time he left the guest house but he knew the path by heart. He could have probably found his way with his eyes closed around that area, thus he wasn’t wasting the matches his grandmother had given him nor did he need the full moon to light the road for him. He knew where he was going and yet, he stopped short when in the eerie silence of the woods he heard a strange voice. It sounded like broken sobs, like somebody crying.
He wasn’t sure what came upon him. Whether it was recklessness or his endless feeling of safety in the woods which he felt at home in. But he changed his direction and slowly he started to walk towards the strangled voice. It was only later when he realized it was you. He had never heard you cry before after all. You had always seemed so sure of yourself and so brave, he had no idea what could have triggered such a reaction from you, not until he saw you lit by the moonlight with tear streaks on your cheeks and blood on your hands.
He stepped on a branch accidentally, it snapped under his weight and in a moment you were on your feet, aiming your crossbow at him before recognizing him and collapsed to the ground again. That was when he saw it: your grief and your sin.
On the ground only a few steps away from him laid two bodies. One of them looked every bit of a hunter Beomgyu could have imagined but the young man’s body was shredded so badly by a wild animal that the boy had a hard time looking at him. But it wasn’t much better as he looked further either. First he thought it would be another victim of the animal attack but the other man was naked on the muddy ground, covered in dirt and blood. His hands and face was full of redness that couldn’t have been his because the only place he was severely wounded was his back where a single arrow hit him right through the heart.
To say that Beomgyu was having a hard time processing what he saw, convincing himself that it was reality and not just a nightmare was an understatement but he willed himself to pull it together. You needed him, he thought as he looked over at your shivering, weeping form as you gently brushed the sweaty fringe of the clothed man away. The boy knew without needing to ask that he must have been your beloved brother. The one you would have done anything. And now he was gone.
“What happened?” He whispered into the darkness, still in shock, not knowing what to do. Should he have called the ranger from the village? Or a doctor maybe?
“I was too late. He killed my brother,” you muttered, sounding only physically there with him. Beomgyu gulped.
“Did you kill him?” He asked, tentative and innocent, just to be sure. Your eyes burned like fire when you looked up at him again. Conviction burning through them.
“He was a monster.”
You told Beomgyu about werewolves after that and he helped you bury the bodies.
He let you cry on his shoulder, held your hand and promised to never bring it up.
The first time Beomgyu actually saw the true form of the monsters you hunted, it was already that time of the year when tree leaves dried up and fell. The ground was swimming in colors of caramel, sunset and blood. In the rain soaked frontyard he almost didn’t notice it: the drops of crimson over the leaves.
“I’m home,” he called, sniffing into the air that was crispy with the scent of freshly baked apple pie, a bit burnt, too sweet, just how he liked it. “Grandma?”
Beomgyu put his basket down on the wooden table in the kitchen. It was a mess and his grandmother never left chaos behind. She was meticulous about cleaning. She was proud of being civilized ‘unlike those savages’. She was… never this quiet. She liked singing as she moved around in the house, she talked to either her plants or the little animals of the woods. Beomgyu had always thought it was a weird habit but the house suddenly felt empty without it. He started looking for his grandmother more frantically, feeling in his guts that something was wrong. He looked everywhere in the house but the old lady was nowhere to be found, so he even skipped putting his hooded robe back on as he stepped out into the cold air, wondering if his grandma had gone to the creek without leaving a message behind. He only took a few steps when he heard the growling.
Shakily, Beomgyu sucked in a breath, his heart battling his head whether he should have made a run for it or turn around but his body decided it for him. He felt rooted to the ground, unable to take another step, so running was out of the question. He reached into his pockets, hoping to find something useful there but he only came up with a matchstick box. With his heart beating like a horse race, he slowly, carefully turned his head to look over his shoulder and he had to swallow the strangled noise forcing its way out of his throat because what was behind him was the largest wolf he had ever seen. It had dark, messy fur and clenched teeth, its eyes glowing golden while cherry liquid dripped down its jaw. It was every bit as terrifying as you had warned him. A creature that would kill him without a second thought if he didn’t act first.
The animal growled again, more threatening this time and behind the layers of fear, Beomgyu remembered what you told him: werewolves were afraid of fire. So the boy gripped the small box tighter in his hand and lit a matchstick just when the wolf pawed closer, baring its teeth, ready to jump. The little flame reflected in gilded eyes and the animal took a staggered step back, giving Beomgyu just enough time to get his bearings and start running after throwing the match to the ground. A part of him wished the leaves would catch on fire to help him escape but another was grateful it was all too wet to happen because he wouldn’t have wanted to see the guest house burn down. Not even at the price of his life.
Hence, the quickly dying flame of the match didn’t do much of a job of keeping the wolf away. Beomgyu could hear it chase after him as he stumbled and raced ahead. He headed towards the village knowing that his best chance was to get to a crowded place where maybe the animal wouldn’t be able to follow him but it wasn’t that close and he could feel the puffs of warm bloody breath just behind him.
When he fell in a tree trunk, the pain didn’t register at first. He might have twisted his ankle but he was too busy trying to fight off the weight of the animal on top of him. Realistically speaking, Beomgyu knew he didn’t stand much chance: he was weaker, smaller and based on your stories, it was almost impossible to fight against a werewolf with bare hands but there must have been something about survival instinct because he just couldn’t give up, he couldn’t just wait for death with open arms.
That was when you came. Like a vengeful angel, as if his subconscious prayers have been answered. Your arrows hit the animal straight ahead and its painful howl almost made the boy feel some king of empathy for it. Hunting was in their nature, wasn’t it? Maybe they couldn’t help it. Not that Beomgyu felt any kind of remorse as he watched the wolf drag itself away, injured.
“Are you okay?” You knelt beside him after the animal was out of your view and you deemed the area safe enough to lower your guards and put your crossbow down.
Beomgyu winced as he tried to sit up. Some of his ribs might have been fractured just by the sheer weight on top of them, but he was grateful for your help when you helped him up even if he felt slightly dizzy from the sudden movement. It was like the ground was unstable under him and your hands felt cold against his feverish forehead. He was covered in mud, dry leaves and drops of blood, yet suddenly he felt so cold.
“Beomgyu…”
He had always liked the way his name fell off your lips but this time there was something wrong about it. Your tone was nowhere near as fond or amused like usual. There was something akin to dread laced among the syllables, something like fear.
Through the hazy fog that was in his mind, Beomgyu tried to concentrate on your words. Or on your eyes. He had always loved your eyes.
You were looking down at him, more specifically, at his feet where his ankle was bare and bloody. He only registered the pain then, the needle-like sensation that he mistakenly thought of as muscle pain. Looking at the clear teeth marks, torn flesh and blood dripping down, he suddenly felt the phantom sensation of getting bitten.
Beomgyu found your eyes again, your name leaving his mouth like a plea, hoping that you would tell him that he was just hallucinating, that everything would be alright but you yanked yourself away from him so fast and so roughly that he stumbled again, his weak body lying feverish on the muddy ground.
“I’m so sorry,” he heard you whisper or he might have been imagining that too. “I… I will have to kill you if you turn. So please…”
Beomgyu was too tired to make sense of what you were saying or what you were asking. It came to him a lot later that he wasn’t sure whether you meant to tell him to survive or to die, to leave or to stay.
Ironically, everything he knew about werewolves was because of you.
It helped him survive, to stay alive, to keep his humanity. He hoped that it would mean something, that it would make a difference if you were ever to know. He had never killed anybody since he had turned. Sure, he had gone crazy the first few times when the full moon controlled his wolf more than him but even then he only hunted forest animals and he felt bad even after that. He hoped the fact that he hadn’t seen you had also meant that you cared but the worst part was that he wanted you beside him. He missed seeing you. He missed daydreaming in the depth of the woods or out in the valley. He missed play fights and hide-and-seeks. He missed your smile. He missed you.
But you were the type who kept their promise.
Beomgyu didn’t even have to turn around to know that it was you behind him. He would have recognized your scent from miles away. He had always loved the peachy undertone that usually hugged him like a blanket, reminding him of hugs and warm pies. He had known you were dangerous from the day you had met yet he had never associated coldness with you. Not even in the unforgiving winter as the two of you stood now: his hand on the door handle and your finger on the trigger of your crossbow, aiming at him.
“You left tails, Beomgyu,” you spoke up, hoarsely, no greetings, no courtesies, straight to the point. It was a jab to the boy’s weak heart. “The others… The other hunters know about you too. They will come for you and they won’t make it quick or painless.”
There was nothing about it that was painless. It had been so long. Beomgyu ached with his whole body because he wanted nothing more than to run to you and pull your body to his, sniffing your hair, and never let you go. Wishful thinking.
“So you came to kill me before they could?” He found himself asking, not so naive anymore, not asking whether you came to warn him or to check on him. He knew you better than that.
Your heart was full of hatred towards his kind ever since you had lost everything to them. There was no way you would have forgotten. He must have been a monster in your eyes despite your past. And yet, Beomgyu had always thought that he could avoid hunters because he was behind closed doors after the sun had set. You had told him before that you weren’t hunting in daytime with the group you lived with, so he assumed he should have been safe then. Staying indoors during the night, tying himself to the ironclad tubes during full moon, he thought that was what kept him alive but as it turned out it was that you kept quiet about him. But now you were coming for his throat, breaking his heart.
“You should have left when you could,” you whispered, resigned and Beomgyu wished he could have seen you better in the darkness in his human form.
“This is the only home I have ever known,” he said and it was as much of an answer as any. Yes, he could have left but he would have had to live in hiding anyway, so why would he have left the one place that he considered his home? You sighed, probably not understanding it but he didn’t expect you to.
“Then this is where you will be buried.”
Without any more warning, you pulled the trigger. It was his newly developed wolf sense that helped him jump aside in time, then he started to run.
Funny, wasn’t it? His kind was supposed to be the superior predator yet when it came to you, he became the hunted. He would have never hurt you no matter how strong his murderous instincts were.
That’s why it was both a blessing and a curse – and probably a careful calculation on your part – that you had come to him on a new moon when the wolf’s pull was the weakest, so Beomgyu’s rationality was more in control but it meant he was more vulnerable too.
You both knew this part of the woods like the back of your hands and it felt like a twisted version of your old hide-and-seek. Snow and branches cracking under his feet, Beomgyu could never hide where he went, so he wasn’t surprised when one of your arrows passed by him, grazing his upper arm, drawing blood. He hissed as his blood dirtied the white snow and he tasted iron on the tip of his tongue. His wolf was fuming, urging him to hurt, to avenge but he didn’t give in, not even when it turned out it was exactly what you wanted.
“Change, Beomgyu, come on! Don’t just run away! Fight me,” you yelled after him, clearly frustrated, but the boy couldn’t understand your reason. He just didn’t want to hurt you.
“What would it change? You will kill me anyway,” he panted, gripping on his injured arm as he hid behind a tree.
“Coward,” you hissed.
Then the others showed up. Beomgyu cried out in pain when a bullet hit him in the shoulder and the pain made him lose the last of his control over his new animalistic instincts. The red hooded robe fell into a puddle of blood over the fresh snow as a wolf took the boy’s place. A wolf growling with anger at the humans approaching him from all directions, four or five of them. He attacked the one that shot him, going straight for the throat after pushing the guy off his feet but that only earned him another bullet wound in the back.
A pathetic little moaning sound escaped the animal and you cried out, tears running down your cheeks, begging for the hunters to stop, to leave him to you because despite everything you had done you never wanted to see Beomgyu in pain.
You took out one arrow from your sachet and dropped your crossbow onto the ground. Your hands trembled but it wasn’t from the cold as you approached the wounded wolf lying on the ground.
“Please come back to me,” you pleaded through shivers.
There was a legend, a folktale claiming that a werewolf had two hearts: one human, one wolf. And if it was killed in its wolf state, the human heart could still survive.
But only if they were killed by somebody who loved them.
You had told Beomgyu before that you didn't believe in such silly things and there was no way you would ever loved a monster anyways, so it was useless asking what ifs but as you drove the sharp arrow through the wolf’s heart, you couldn’t help but wonder whether your love would be enough for a miracle or you were about to lose the last person important to you.
“I’m so sorry,” you whimpered as more crimson was spilled on the winter blanket of the woods, on the ground that birthed and buried all of you.
Your tears were falling over the wolf as Beomgyu started taking back his human form. You sobbed harder when you saw those curls you had always loved so much and the pouty mouth and button nose. You laid down over his chest, praying, hoping to hear a heartbeat until you were dragged away.
The snow would melt in a week but not even forever could erase his blood from your hands.

Chaeri as the 8th and youngest member of BTS.
Chaeri's Masterlist
❒ Requested ✓
「 A compilation of Chaeri and Jungkook caught on camera 」
Video posted on YouTube by chaekooknation
Hello everyone, this is chaekooknation speaking! I'm back with a compilation of videos and super-zoomed images of how Chaeri and Jungkook act when they think they're not in front of the cameras I'd like to remind everyone that this is a video purely for the enjoyment of fans who, like me, believe there's something more than friendship between the two of them ♡
clip one ⸻ 🎬
⠪ September 2018; Canada ⠪ At that time the members were on tour for the 'Love yourself world tour' ⠪ After the last Canadian stage in Hamilton we know that they stayed a couple of days there before leaving for New Jersey ⠪ We know this in particular because of a dinner they had one of those evenings ⠪ We all remember videos and photos posted by the staff of one of the most exclusive restaurants there ⠪ These include a video of Chaeri and Jungkook that is a bit suspicious, don't you think? ⠪ When she noticed that someone from the restaurant staff was filming her having her hand on Jk's face she made a shocked expression ⠪ Sis, why be surprised? You live constantly on camera ⠪ Unless you were about to do something that others should not know about ⠪ Anyway, she became smooth again after a second and moved her hand to the back of his neck ⠪ SUS
clip two ⸻ 🎬
⠪ 22.04.2017; After a vlive ⠪ For this picture we have to credit our Jin hyung who posted them on weverse without them knowing ⠪ I quote the description "Armys our maknae stayed with you as long as she could. Can we all agree to scold Jungkook for not letting her sleep in peace? Turn off the lights!" ⠪ Chaeri and Jungkook had spent almost an hour chatting with us armys ⠪ "I am in Jungkookie's(hotel) room now, when we say goodnight to you I will go back to mine." ⠪ SHE NEVER DID!!!! ⠪ Isn't it adorable the way he keeps his arm around her body?
clip three ⸻ 🎬
⠪ 2019; SBS Gayo Daejeon Music Festival ⠪ Photo taken by a group of fans from afar ⠪ Seems to be right after the show ended, probably they were waiting to leave ⠪ Fixing his coat is such an intimate and loving gesture ⠪ I wouldn't do it with just a friend. Would you do that? ⠪ Chaeri is always so caring, when it comes to him a little bit more ⠪ It was so cold that year, I'm sure she didn't want him to freeze ⠪ The way he looks at her!!!
clip four ⸻ 🎬
⠪ [BANGTAN BOMB] Meeting with Megan Thee Stallion pt2 | A night out
⠪ It was decided at the last minute there would be two Bangtan Bombs with the rapper: The first to meet her and the last to spend an evening together ⠪ Megan is amazing and beautiful, meeting her was a pleasure for all members, it's obvious ⠪ Chaeri might have been annoyed just for a moment perhaps ⠪ That way she tries to hold on to his coat and then retreat realizing she is being filmed makes me think (and laugh) ⠪ I don't think she felt threatened by Megan's beauty ⠪ Perhaps she was simply bored with all the attention she was giving Jungkook ⠪ Jealous Chaeri >>>>
clip five ⸻ 🎬
⠪ 2016; ISAC ⠪ We had to zoom in a lot to get a good look at them ⠪ We remember the impact Chaeri had on the show, fighting to make the competitions mixed and no longer only for men or only for women ⠪ The camera was focusing on the other members, Chaeri and Jungkook could only be seen by those paying close attention ⠪ The way she hit the bull's eye of the target every time during the competition must have made Jungkook very proud ⠪ But do you see the way he looks at her at the end? ⠪ Google search: How to find someone who looks at you the way Jungkook looks at Chaeri
clip six ⸻ 🎬
⠪ 2018; Mama in Hongkong (Backstage) ⠪ I loved how nonchalantly Chaeri spent the time before the performance eating rather than rehearsing ⠪ We know how much Chaeri hates to be bothered while she's eating, but this seems like an appreciated interference ⠪ Very low photo quality but we had to zoom in a lot too to make it clear who it was ⠪ The glasses Jungkook is wearing are seen back on her at the end of the video, during the goodbyes
clip seven ⸻ 🎬
⠪ 2016; Suwon ⠪ At that time their fame was still growing, there were not as many armys as today ⠪ BLESSED SOUL, THOUGH, THAT FOUND HERSELF IN THE SAME PLACE WHERE THE MEMBERS DECIDED TO GO ICE-SKATING ⠪ I tell you, it was hard to find this video ⠪ They are totally in a world of their own ⠪ Don't you think JK teaching Chaeri anything is the best Jk? He is always so careful with her ⠪ She clearly terrified ⠪ I bet he wanted to burst out in laughter ⠪ I wish there were more moments of that day to share together
clip eight ⸻ 🎬
⠪ BTS in the soop; Season one ⠪ Is it just me or does it seem like they were kissing at first!? ⠪ The guys' cameramen give us joy every time and I don't think they even know about it ⠪ They were filming some of the boys outside the house but if you look carefully in one of the windows you can see these two silhouettes ⠪ To me it's obvious it's the two of them ⠪ What song do you think they were dancing to? ⠪ PLEASE we need to know
clip nine ⸻ 🎬
⠪ 2021; After the episode '131' of RUN BTS
⠪ If someone asked me to show them a video about love I would show them this
⠪ The fact that Jimin accidentally caught them behind him during his vlive makes it even cuter
⠪ This is how they act when they think the cameras are off
⠪ Chaeri smile with her eyes when she's close to her Jungkook
⠪ Who would touch her hair like that if not someone deeply in love?

— Prologue For Wind [바람]
not proofread, sfw, fem!reader as jo
"jo" the man's sigh was heard from the other line, him pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration.
"you need to go back to jeju and take care of your grandfather." He continued, demanding for his daughter to follow his request.
"dad... you know how much i hate him right? why can't i go to grandma instead? i want to go to jeju for vacation aswell.." his daughter denied his request, wanting a change of plans.
"jo.. i know how rude he is sometimes, but he's getting sicker each day. atleast stay with him for two weeks? I'll promise you can stay with your grandma after, please jo do it for me." He let out a big breath, hoping his daughter would finally listen to him and accept his request.
"okay fine.." she paused for awhile, sighing.
"I'll do it... going back to home town"
the man let out a breath of relief "thank you jo.. thank you. please say hi to your grandpa and cousin for me."
she hummed tired lying as she said her goodbye and ended the call.

"beomgyu darling where are you?" an endearing and sweet voice of a woman rang on his ears.
"daejeon mom." the boy replied calmly.
"becareful gyu sweetie, don't forget to eat your lunch and make sure to keep your belongings close!" she reminded him, her voice slowly getting louder.
he can't help but let out a soft chuckle, soon replying "yes mom!" exclaimed
"I'm just worried sweetie.. your brother will pick you up at daemyeong im just going to wait for you at home hmm? becareful mu gyu bear!" she informed as beomgyu bid goodbye ending their call.
"im so excited to go back home" he muttered, the edge of his lips curling up.

🧼 — hi im back! so this is the prologue to one of my favorite ongoing (hopefully i'll continue all my projects someday hehe.) wattpad projects. by time i got busy and unfortunately i need to put all my projects on hold including this one. i love this prologue so much so i've decided to let it taste the "wind" of social media and upload it here! mind you, this was 1 year ago so excuse me for grammatical errors.

Hii! I’m new to your blog and I love your writing sm!! 🫶🏻 I was wondering if I can request a felix fluffy scenario of both of you being really affectionate towards each other infront of the other members and they’re teasing both of you and you’re the blushy/awkward one. (I imagine their reactions to be like how they reacted to felix in the ‘your eyes’ mv 😭
hiii 👋 thank you so much, and i'm glad you like my work ♡ really appreciate it! 🤍 i hope you see this and let me know if you liked it 🥰
note: although most people (stays) already know the names of felix's family members, i left them out on purpose because i just felt a bit uncomfortable using their names in a fanfic 😅
also, merry christmas and happy holidays, everyone! 🎄
a/n: slightly proofread. lowercase intended. image not mine.
december 24. it was finally christmas eve, and felix couldn't wait for christmas to come for three reasons:
one, his family flew over a few days ago just to spend the holiday with him. two, once the group's schedule for the day is over, he'll get about 2 weeks to rest. and three, he looks forward to spending it with you (and with his members before they leave for the holiday to see their own family).
"oh, it's finally over!" felix's mom exclaimed in delight, clapping her hands happily in the process. you smiled at how cute she looked.
you were already waiting with his family at the hotel they were staying at, watching gayo daejeon together on the tv in their room. the place was also pretty convenient since the restaurant where they were able to book a private room was just a couple of floors down.
"eonni, your boyfriend's calling~" his younger sister said, handing you your phone from the coffee table. felix called you up to let you know that they are getting ready to leave and will be at the restaurant in 30 minutes.
"that's great. we should get ready as well," his dad said. "i'll call the restaurant to let them know we're coming down in a few."
it was actually the first time you have met felix's family in person, but they were just as nice and welcoming as he was. it was clear to you then that felix really grew up in such a wonderful family.
everybody was getting ready to leave when his mom rushed to your side and gently turned you around to face her.
"dear, put some of this on," you stood there as she quickly dabbed some lipstick on your lips.
"there you go!" she smiled in content. "this shade looks so good on you!" she was practically squealing at how nicely the shade complimented your overall look.
"thank you, mrs. lee" you gave her a shy smile before leaving the room with her.
you were now at the restaurant, laughing and having a good time with felix's family as they shared some of their favorite moments with him during childhood when the door to the room slid open.
all 5 of you whipped your heads to see felix by the door, smiling your guys' way as he gestured for the rest of the members to come inside first.
after all the greetings were said, felix finally sat down beside you, smiling so widely after giving you a brief hug. you were seated between him and his older sister, with the other members seated on the other side of the table.
"you look extra beautiful today, babe" he complimented. you looked at felix with a shy smile.
"o-oh, really? thank you," you replied. "your mom actually helped me put on some lipstick, so that's probab---"
you paused when you noticed how felix was just staring at you with a big smile plastered on his face.
"is... everything... alright...?" you quietly asked, worried that there might be something stuck on your teeth or something that he found funny.
felix let out a light chuckle before taking your hand and kissing the back of it, still keeping his eyes on you.
"yeah, it's just that you look so beautiful tonight."
after hearing that (plus the gesture felix just made), you couldn't hide the blush that was showing on your face anymore and turned your face away from him.
this time, felix let out a laugh at how cute you looked, finally catching the attention of everybody else in the room.
"what's going on?" felix's dad asked. he turned to look at his dad, still smiling.
"nothing," he answered. "my girlfriend's just really adorable right now."
bang chan let out a giggle before looking at the other guys beside him.
"get your fingers ready coz things are going to get cringey real soon," he teased. the room was then filled with laughter and some more light-hearted teasing.
"babe," felix called. "ahh~" he said as he raised a fork in your mouth in an attempt to feed you with a small piece of meat.
you looked between him and the fork in his hand. you were about to open your mouth to take the food when you heard the other guys teasing you and felix again.
"ahh~" bang chan, changbin, and hyunjin said in unison while lee know, han, seungmin and i.n. tried to suppress their laughter.
felix turned his head to them and stuck out his tongue playfully. his family could only shake their heads and laugh at the silliness of the group.
unfortunately for you, felix seemed to enjoy seeing you all flustered and shy. and of course, the more he did it, the more his members would playfully tease the two of you. although felix didn't mind it at all, you were feeling so shy to the point that you just wanted to curl up into a ball.
you were peacefully eating a cream puff, quietly listening to the conversation going around, when felix called your attention. you turned your head to face him, waiting for him to say something.
"you really make me want to take care of you more," he sighed quietly.
you weren't sure what he meant by that until you felt his thumb swipe gently on the side of your lips, realizing that he just wiped some cream off.
you were about to thank him for it but was left speechless and embarrassed when you saw him licking the cream off of his thumb and gave you a playful wink.
"OH MY EYES!!!"
you heard hyunjin scream as he dramatically covered his eyes and slowly slid off of his chair, 'collapsing'. the other guys have started playfully pretending to gag, with some of them curling up their fingers from cringing so bad. even his sisters have started joining in their antics.
"i can feel the chicken i ate come to life," lee know said as he put a hand on his belly, feigning the horror in his eyes.
felix and his parents were just laughing wholeheartedly from the chaotic antics of the guys, while you laughed awkwardly in embarrassment.
he was still laughing at the guys when he turned to look you. he gave you a soft smile before asking you if you were feeling alright.
"yeah, but just a bit embarrassed," you quietly admitted.
you have known the rest of stray kids for a while now, and although you were already used to their playful teasing (especially about your relationship with felix), there are still times that you just couldn't think of an equally playful comeback and just end up blushing furiously — tonight was the perfect example.
the guys have now (slightly) calmed down from cringing and have started talking amongst themselves (still about what happened) when felix cupped your cheeks gently.
"i love you," he suddenly said as he looked deeply into your eyes with a soft smile.
despite feeling a bit embarrassed from all the playful teasing from the guys, you still couldn't stop the growing smile on your face.
you looked straight into his eyes before leaning in to give him a quick peck on the lips, not caring anymore if somebody saw it.
"i know, and i love you, too." you quietly said with a shy smile on your face. felix grinned sheepishly right after.
and just as expected, another round of playful teasing from the rest of stray kids ensued, with seungmin jokingly commenting, 'for the sake of our mental health, just please get a room!'
- end.
requests are OPEN ♡ holiday break just started, so i have a lot more time to respond to requests now 😊

❛ @sosordid said . . . [ TO THE RECEIVER ]: " is this person bothering you? " From Daejeon Mr detective hero for whoever you feel! ❜
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐘𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐄. waiting for a punch that never comes. the grip on the fabric of his hoodie loosens, causing him to stumble to his knees. blue eyes frantically stare at the concrete as the man who'd been the source of his pain tries to weasel his way out of the consequences. go figure. casper had almost slipped out of the man's grasp. he was smaller, more agile than most humans. but the man had snatched his hoodie just before he could make a break for it. something about money which made casper want to laugh. would he be wearing these tattered clothes if he had any money ? but humans are all the same, casper had come to realize.
the man's presence is gone now and a breath exits his lungs. it hurts a little. a hand comes into view and the hybrid is reluctant to take it but, they're not exactly in the position to refuse help. luckily his hood had managed to stay on his head through the attack. someone spotting his abnormalities is the last thing he needs. the man before his towers over the space and casper swallows, feeling awkward now.
❛ thanks. ❜ it comes out hoarse. smoothing down his clothes casper looks up, attempting to meet the man's eye. ❛ that guy was a jackass. ❜
heroic intervention. — accepting.
