I think we should talk more about the story Dutch tells when the curious couple and their unruly son is out fishing.

AHahaha yesss, I mean the elders just wanted to form an alliance, and neither clan really knew just how strong Fushiguro reader was as a toddler, so it was right to arrange a marriage for you.

As a child, Noritoshi didnt really care much for you, especially since he had battles of his own- being born to a mistress, being the heir of the clan because the head wife couldnt bear sons so, he has to deal with that.

But youre adorable and you grow on anyone, even the Zenin clan, so when toddler Fushiguro reader meets 9 year old Noritoshi, the latter only thinks of you as a spoiled brat at first. And why wouldnt he? Youre running around barefoot in the garden, dressed in sparkly pink hello kitty pjs with servants chasing after you, with Naoya screaming from the shed that he'll lock you up if he catches you grabbing his million dollar koi fish.

Noritoshi's disgust is quite understandable when you come upto him, hair disheveled, face sweaty, and you stick your muddy hand to his face.

"Hi! Im Y/n Fushiguro!" "ZENIN! Y/N ZENIN!" Naoya yells before dragging you away for training (Naoya didnt want you to meet your future husband).

As time goes on, Noritoshi would be sent to the Zenin estate on different errands (by this point, the Kamo clan has heard rumors of your powers and now want Noritoshi to go and woo you, which is a huge task since Noritoshi isnt someone who is able to express emotions, much less romantic ones). But even though he might not be able to express his emotions, doesnt mean his heart hasnt turned soft for you. Youre pollar opposite to him, loud, energetic, carefree- and yet Noritoshi cant help but feel that you... sort of complete him. Youre everything hes not and he likes that. Like 2 puzzle pieces that fit together, he completes you too. Hes quiet, calm, realistic- he brings peace to you, especially when youre mind gets overstimulated by- well, you.

How many times has it been that Noritoshi has stopped your panic attacks when you realised that your father Toji, wasnt coming back? How many times has Noristoshi had to pull you into his robes when your cursed energy started to lose control, risking himself just to calm you down and help you control it as his soft monotonous voice guided you through it?

And how many times has it been that Noritoshi would have his terrible day turned around with just you calling him "Nori!"? Or the times he'd be questioning his worth in the clan and all he needed was you to lean your head against his shoulder to feel like a million bucks? Noritoshi would be the type of man who people would think doesnt really care about love and marriage, when in reality, he just spent the entire night listening to you yap about your day, about Hello Kitty, about uncle Naoya, pausing in between to say "hmm, okay its getting late, we should sleep" only to suddenly remember a new topic to ramble on about. And youd think Noritoshi wanst listenting to you with the way hes staring at your face in awe, but really- he remembers every single word. You could quiz him. Its funny listening to man like him talk about Hello Kitty.

When the time comes for you two to actually get married, Naoya throws a fit, and surprisingly, the Zenin clan also doesnt want to marry you off to Kamo clan (or anyone). People opposing the marriage from your side would be the Zenin clan, the twins (who start telling you all the reasons why marriage is a trap and youd be dead in 2 days.), Gojo (he just chuckles and tells you not to worry because he wont let you be forced into marriage), Nanami (my man wholeheartedly believes youre being a victim of child marriage, BUT NOT ON HIS WATCH! GONNA KILL ANYONE WHO EVEN THINKS OF U LIKE THAT- just sit in his condo and eat the sandwhich he made for you. And dont argue.), Megumi (who doenst get why he wasnt ever informed that you, his baby sister, was in an arranged marriage, and why the hell didnt Noritoshi try to get his blessings/permission considering THAT HES YOUR CLOSEST FAMILY MEMBER??? Also, no- youre not marrying Kamo) and then... theres Sukuna (if you thought Naoya threw a fit, youre in for A WORLD OF TANTRUMS AS SUKUNA SCREAMS AND MOST LIKELY KILLS WHOEVER IS IN A MILE VICINITY, just to let off some steam and calm down before he talks to you and REMINDS YOU THAT YOU PROMISED TO MARRY HIM! HAVE YOU BEEN PROPOSING TO EVERY GUY YOU MET?)

Okay, he shooed them away a few times, but that’s normal! You’re just too used to those weird little creatures. You were eating, you shouldn’t have had birds near you! They could take away some of your food! If you think about it, he’s just being a good friend. He's such a good friend, in fact, there’s absolutely nothing about him that could make you think he wasn’t acting in your best interest. Even if those birds were bringing you berries as you claim, how are they supposed to know if they were poisonous? They’re birds! You could die! He saved your life! 

And no, he never punched a squirrel. He just... Realized something was coming up on your shoulder and hit it away. Just a little slap. Definitely. He didn’t ball up his fist and aim or anything. He loves animals, look at the hedgehogs! They don’t bite him while he’s feeding them, only after! They’re hard to befriend, or something... 

Besides, that’s the same squirrel that was hitting him with nuts! Remember? He was being pelted with acorns! And no, he didn’t start it but made a face at the squirrel. You’re similar to Silver, so the animals are a fact that Sebek doesn’t think much of at first. Birds on your head, mice in your pockets, whatever. It doesn’t matter to him. He’s used to those around him having abilities he doesn’t, though normally those are combat related, and it’s not as though he desires yours. 

That is until an animal decides to sit in your pocket for an entire day. A tiny mouse, which you had in your jacket during every class. Even at the times when Sebek couldn’t accompany you! It was very cute, but Sebek was screaming at you! Why? Because the mouse could be dangerous, of course! Why else? You’re a stupid human if you truly believe an animal coming up to you isn’t a mark of disease! Just look at it! 

From that point on, he was a little more overprotective of you. After all, you could be hurt! He couldn’t possibly allow that! He would rather fight the bear that just gave you a fish than allow you to come in contact with it again. Besides, he can get a better fish! Look at him, human! He got you a bigger fish- What do you mean the bear came back. What do you mean it’s got two more fish. Fine! If you’re going to accept fish from a bear, he’ll just have to cook those fish for you! To make sure they’re edible! Lilia and Malleus would be very upset if you died because of bear-poisoned fish! 

He ends up in a three hour, five course meal competition with the animals. On the positive, you have enough food for the next week. On the less positive side, you’ve had to watch a guy start a fight with a moose after jumping into the water. And lose. You’ve had to watch a knight lose a fight to a moose. Then again, can you really blame him? Of course not, human! Especially after you gave him such a lecture, and he’s fine now! You made sure of that after you bandaged him! So, why are you still concerced? He won’t do it infront of you again, if you’re so upset about seeing him hurt!

hey do you know that one plotline in violet evergarden where the dying mom leaves letters to her kid spanning the kid's birthdays for the next 50 hears ?

in another AU, yllz!wei wuxian knows he's not really going to make it. the others know too. theyre all running on borrowed time. but they all agree that a-yuan should at least live. so all of them (wwx, wen qing, all the wen remnants) got together one night and write letters to a-yuan for him to open on his birthdays for the next 50 years in case they never do make it.

they hand the qiankun pouch with all the letters to wen ning. their plan in case all goes to shit is to give a-yuan to wen ning and for the two of them to escape as far as possible while wwx sets himself up as one final bait. wen ning doesnt like this last resort. no one does. but theyre all running out of time.

in this AU, things go a little differently. there is no ambush at qiongqi pass because there is no yllz traveling to give jin ling his gift. instead, wwx got lwj to hand the gift over to jin ling to avoid bringing chaos to such an auspicious event. jzx and jyl live.

there is no nightless city massacre because wwx isnt there to get the wen siblings because the wen siblings havent given themselves up. everyone is far too busy preparing a-yuan's escape.

that doesnt stop the sects from besieging the burial mounds though. they want the yllz gone, you best believe they will find other reasons to justify the siege.

a miracle happens though. by some stroke of luck, wen qing survives with a-yuan and she gets to escape with him and wen ning. wwx still dies but his death is enough to give the wen sibs and a-yuan time to escape.

so a-yuan grows up in some obscure fishing village so far removed from the great sect territories that not even lwj has passed by the place. all three of them are under new names. they make a living as the village's only healers. nobody talks about wen ning being a fierce corpse because he really isnt any danger to them. in fact, he's the favourite grandchild of all the elders (after a-yuan of course)

a-yuan grows up with just his qing-jiejie and ning-gege physically, but he has a stack of letters from his departed loved ones waiting for him for each of his birthdays, each of his milestones. his favourites are always from his xian-gege, pages upon pages of wwx rambling to him every birthday. maybe wwx snuck in some cultivation tips and tricks there. maybe there are a couple of sketches and drawings too. sketches of their family, sketches of their old home. one sketch of lwj.

a-yuan's family may have been shaved down to just the three of them but the others' spirits remain with them always.

a-yuan grows well. he's a healer, but he's also a cultivator. one wandering cultivator (maybe another incognito baoshan sanren disicple?) had given him a sword and a couple of manuals.

Judes first appearance to your modest little apartment in months turns into him begging and pleading for you to find someone better. 

Someone who doesn't make you wait all day for a reply, someone who isnt in 3 time zones in one day, someone who has time.

Jude has many things, many luxuries and commodities that fill his home and surround his daily life. Fame and fortune that follow him, recognition. Riches.  

Time is not one of them. between games just about every other day, events and press appearances, media days and content recording. He is exhausting every second of his day.

He knows he's not making enough time for you. And now he's begging for you to move on  

Sitting cross legged on your couch, in red and black plaid pj pants and a hoodie he grabbed from his hamper. He made his way to you as soon as he could. Even if it meant after doing a virtual interview from his room, he grabbed his wallet and keys, sprinting out the door.

“Please…” he tries again. His eyes droop and he can not pick them up to face you. Can not meet your gaze. His eye bags look horrid and his skin is taking on a sickly sheen you saw last when he came down with the flu. 

You shake your head, “Jude. listen to what you're saying. You want me to leave because you're busy?”

“I'm saying I'm not good to or for you. I'm never around. I barely reply. I forget things. I never know what you're up to or what's going on. Im shit. And you don't deserve that.” he tries again, keeping his head down and picking at his nails. 

“But I love you. Busy or not.” you sigh.

“And I love you. So much that you have to let me go.” 

“I don't want to leave you,” you cross your arms.

He rubs his eyes. Its been back and forth like this for what feels like an hour now. This will get nowhere if he simply lets this continue. 

He slides a leg from under him, swinging it against your couch, “then I will.”

Your face morphs into one of pain, but he knows you can't keep living like this. He can't keep making false promises and hurting you. No matter how many times you say it's okay. He was late to your birthday for fucks sake. He doesn't know your friends names, do you even still watch that show? He's losing who you are and it's no one's fault but his own. 

He scoots to you, gently taking your hands in his, “I know you'll find someone who treats you the way you need. And I'm sorry I couldn't.”

Tears begin to swell in your eyes, lip trembling as you shake your head, “you can't,” you cry out weakly. But it's too late. 

“I'm sorry,” he whispers, getting up from his seat and gently closing the door behind him, with a little too much force than intended.

The little framed picture of the two of you that hangs on the wall next to the door shakes and wobbles. It only makes you cry harder. 

You remember that day. He took you to the fair, buying you all the stupid food you could ever want. (the deep fried ice cream gave you a run for your money in the bathroom). He won every prize at those silly games. Even if it took him 50 tries and a whole lotta cash to do so. 

There was a little man walking around with a polaroid camera. A sign reading “$2 for a picture” painted in bright green lettering hanging from an old withered string around his neck.

You took 4. 

Your favorite, the one on the wall, stares back at you mockingly. Hands held together while your heads are thrown back, soft yellow and pink light from the ferris wheel behind you painting your faces. You'll need to take that down you suppose.

You want to scream, but instead only tears fall. Can he see he's the one that's meant for you? Busy or not, forgetful, tired, moody, cranky. You love him through it all. Can he see that?

You try to call him, blinking away the tears as you fish your phone from your pocket.  Pressing on the screen harshly and putting it on speaker, but they all go to voicemail. You suppose that's that.

some stuff for dragons in my flight rising lore! sirko runs a circus on the outskirts of hyrule, and pipimi unfortunately gets wrapped up in the places hijinks after being hired by them to be a full time technician.

like stated previously, sirko is the ringleader of a circus called "the sensational sunset circus", popular for its sunset aesthetic and plethora of attractions. pipimi was attracted to this job offer because she was looking for an excuse to get away and leave her old life behind. so, she applied, and the moment she arrived, she was adorned with compliments and attention. to her suprise, she was the only new hire theyve had in years. and the longer she stays, shes grows quite certain she knows exactly why.

(and yes, the tadc parallels are apparent .. oops 😭 my brain loves to unconsciously attach my hyperfixations to eachother)

all of the members of this circus are very different and have quite striking personalities. the current list of the living (excluding sirko and pipimi) is as follows :

mowbray - (he/him ; sibling and right hand man to sirko) a fairly lax individual most of the time. one of the few of them with a braincell. can usually tolerate most things but can very easily snap if you bother him enough. friends with pipimi solely because they both are somewhat smart enough to not go insane immediately.

holiday - (she/her ; makeup artist and costume designer) fairly laid back and super duper chill, and easily one of the sweeter members of the circus. she doesnt hesitate to bring others up in mood and try to help where she can.

she has a .. "special connection" with pipimi, letting her call her 'holly', and visiting her often. she says its just because of how often her clothes tear, but most of the other members speculate other .. interesting reasons.

jaxton - (he/him ; That asshole) probably the one guy who most likely wouldnt lay down his life for pipimi. he constantly bullies her, teasing her at every chance he gets.

when he isnt messing with her though, hes trying out new tricks to impress the locals and maybe scam some out of their money. hes tried countless times to help his fellow coworker iskam try and become better at her scam artistry, but iskam certainly isnt smart enough for his precious arts. what a shame.

iskam - (she/he/they ; "future seer" vendor) a particularly clueless individual, he enjoys trying his hardest to predict others futures, genuinely believing hes right when in reality, she just makes things up. the money is just a bonus to her endeavors. couldn't count to 100 if you asked.

on the plus side, they like the company of pipimi, mostly because she tries really hard not to hurt others feelings. pipimi knows iskam is wrong, but wont say it.

pakwan - (she/they ; resident dumpster fish) somehow more clueless than iskam, but still just as cheerful. she enjoys a melon snack more than anything in the world. well, not really. she enjoys pipimi's company more than anything else, and often accidentally splashes her with water with excitement when pip comes by.

she loves doing tricks, especially for pipimi. pipimi loves to listen to pakwan ramble about her day. in a sort of mutual peace of mind, kinda way.

mang - (he/it ; horrible little rat bastard thief) being small and cunning has its advantages, and mang uses them well. known to be the local thief of the circus, it takes every opportunity he can to sneak about and steal anything he can fit into his pockets. if you can get on his good side however, youll never lose another key again. because of this, it quite likes pipimi.

halimaw - (he/they ; the beast of the basement) dangerous and cunning. halimaw is sly with his words but bumbly and outrageous at the same time. large and un-anxious, he wont hesitate to bite your head off if you refuse to listen to him. gets what he wants, and when he doesnt, he takes by force. these are primarily reasons why he was locked down there. better safe than sorry.

saya - (she/her ; sister to holiday and ex-partner to halimaw) very reserved and almost acts as a mediator. she values her dance skills VERY seriously and considers dance the ultimate art, much to her sisters dismay. they dont fight about it however, and they are quite close.

anyway, thats it for now!

ill probably be talking about these 10 sometime in the future but for now have this !! i love thinking about them and they mean alot to me <3 circus freaks

i saw in the recent lambert post you made that they like to be spoiled and that got me thinking of a follower or even a spouse taking the day to pamper them, saying how good of a person they are and how amazing they are as a leader while helping them shear their wool or washing it and how despite the things they've done the mc will always just wash the blood off their fleece and care for them regardless!!!!

worrying over my progress on the flufftober fics- i know i still have 2 months until october but ive only got 16/31 of the fics done... and im dragging my feet... grrr... maybe ill try to finish another fic before i go to bed tonight- not to mention theres still 5 empty slots that still need a character assigned to them hisshiss notes: reader is gn and a cult member, short post, admin has adopted the "lambert is a kinder leader at least compared to the bishops- they just want to help their cult thrive and survive", admins thoughts are scattered everywhere so this post kind of bounces around everywhere cws: canon typical violence

honestly? sometimes having so many people depending on you weighs heavy on their mind- adding the fact that they are more than aware that they are the last of their kind... and it gets even worse when the bishops join the cult

so a day being tended to and loved is in order- you step up to deal with everyones needs and make sure no one is immediately dying or need anything- and if anyone dares try to bother you and your lover... the look you give them is enough to make them hesitate

you both hang out in his quarters, or for fresh air you both wander around in the woods... or maybe go fishing together... you make it clear that the choice is up to lambert

so tired they just want to stay in bed, so you both end up cuddling together

run your fingers through their wool and their exhausted body is going to melt right into you... their ears flick every now and then as you work your fingers into their body

might take you down to ratau's shack to play a few games of knucklebones before coming back home, you play until its dark out

they dont like talking about some of the darker sides of being a cult leader- the sacrifices, the death, and the weight that was placed on them to be a vessel... now turned a god

they never really chose this, and they let you know that thats been weighing on them

there isnt much that can be done to change whats been done so all you can do is listen and be there for them

godhood has made their body more resilient to wounds as well as healing faster than a mortal, but you still clean their wounds when they return from a crusade... youre so so careful as you scrub their wool until the red is out... they dont remember the last time someone has taken the time to wrap their wounds... theyre left in silence as you lean down and gently press a kiss to their bandages

(okay i was going about my day yesterday but i really couldn't get the merman au out of my head😭😭 i just imagine for a while somehow geto managed to sneak satoru into the palace and then it's a whole ordeal trying to hide him. panicked geto and oblivious gojo and really for all that image is stuck in my head i still have yet to write a proper interaction w them but!! it's not proofread so sorry if there are mistakes and it's a bit scattered but i had to get this one scene out that was brewing in my mind so🥺 ignore this if you want❗️❗️)

From the mezzanine, everyone looked like ants. Suguru had to squint to make out familiar faces in the crowd, and even then, the only person he could identify was a distant aunt of his that he had never really liked. Usually, he'd have been able to pick apart anyone of significance; he'd have known their name, their title, their interests. 

Suguru would've known, he always memorises the details before public events — he spends days in his room at a time, talking into the mirror and telling his reflection things about these people who he has never met. Perhaps, lately, he'd been busy with Satoru.

Suguru smiled. He didn't feel as guilty as he thought he would.

A hand clapped on his back, and he jolted. Shoko beside him, cocking a brow. “What's got you looking like a dumbass?” Her voice was flat, eyes busy scanning the crowd and Suguru knew who she was looking for.

He cleared his throat. He couldn't really tell her that he was keeping a siren in the little pond in his private garden — well, it wasn't exactly little, but that information held no relevance anyway. Shoko was his dear friend, and he knew she would always support him, but he had to keep Satoru a secret, more for her sake. Suguru bit his lip in thought. If only Satoru didn't have such a strong taste for human flesh.

“Is meat more nutritious than fish?”

“What?”

“Nevermind.” Suguru winced at the look he was being sent. He didn't mean to blurt the question out, but he'd been thinking about it for days. The salmon that he'd been feeding Satoru probably wasn't enough to sustain a creature his size — especially when he was so active — which would mean he burnt through a lot of calories very quickly. “Utahime is on the balcony,” Suguru pointed in the general direction, giving Shoko a pat on the shoulder, “good luck.”

From his peripheral vision, he could see Shoko roll her eyes as he walked away, but she muttered a small 'thanks' before she turned to find the other woman. He was glad she finally had someone to open up to other than him — he saw how happy Shoko was with Utahime, and with the burden of inheriting the throne giving her sleepless nights, it was all Suguru could want for his closest friend.

He turned his attention back to the winding flight of stairs before him. Now, to find some meat.

MAYBE suguru just thinks gojo is in need of lots of food, but actually gojo just likes to eat bc he enjoys the food, but doesnt neccessarily need it?(he is also a mystical creature, so in that sense anything is possible really xD) I ALSO LOVE HOW SUGURU JUST RANDOMLY ASKS SHOKO ABOUT NUTRITIONS AND SHOKO IS JUST LIKE WHAT, i adore that ; u ; <3 AND OMG gojo lives in a pond in his private garden??? HOW CUTE!! so that makes me wonder (pls indulge with me) why would he bring this technically "monster" into his home? generally i would think maybe that a creature like that needs its space and would need their freedom? so MAYBEEEEE smth has happened? maybe gojo got hurt, maybe even when he was caught in the fishernet situation? Sokka is a brother

His first memory is meeting Katara. A tiny baby, so weak and squishy. Nothing like the Master Waterbender she would someday be.

"She's your sister." His parents tell him with a smile. And he's too young to fully understand that, but somehow the unsaid message rings in his ears. "Yours to protect."

Katara can make water move without touching it. It's fun, until it isnt. The adults worry, and he learns to worry too.

They play in the snow and get into trouble and some days she's his best friend and other days he wishes she was never born.

His father teaches him to fight. To throw a boomerang and hold a spear. He teaches him how to put on the traditional war paint and tells him the reasons and stories behind it.

Sokka is five.

And five is so old, an entire year older than Katara, half a decade. He runs after his father and begs the older men to spar with him. And he loses his first boomerang when he takes it penguin sledding. He watches his sister play with her water magic and promises to always protect her. And then he puts dead fish in her boots. (She deserved it)

He outgrows his Grangrans stories and insists on patrolling the village with his father. Katara calls him stuck up and meanie and they bite and kick each other until their mother catches them. She forces them to stop and to apologize and he doesn't really mean it (yes he does) and they don't get any treats for a week. And that seems such a harsh punishment and they decide they'll work together, if only to steal some treats from Bato. His mother sighs in exasperation, and makes them do extra chores as punishment this time.

Later his father will tell him that he needs to be responsible and do the right thing, even when he's mad.

Later Katara will apologize for real, and he'll tell her a dumb joke in forgiveness and everything will be alright again.

Later they will play together in the fresh snow, all quarrels forgotten.

And then the snow turns black and everyone will know what that means.

Sokka is eight.

And eight is so old. A whole year older than Katara, and he doesn't run to his mother, he runs to his father. Helping to defend the village like all the other men. He can't do much but throw things. But that seems to be enough. And he can hear Katara crying. He doesn't know yet what that means.

Eight is to old to cry. Men don't cry. Why is his father crying?

Where's his mother?

Sokka is nine.

And nine is so old. Nine is older than eight-year-old-Katara, nine is almost a decade. Nine is old enough to hate.

And he does. He hates the Fire Nation for what they took from them. He hates the North for the aid they never sent. He hates the way Grangran still talks of hope and peace, when there is neither. He hates Katara for not running fast enough. He hates his father for crying in the night. He hates himself for not running to his mother, for not being older and stronger, for not actually doing anything that mattered. Bato takes him hunting. He looks at the old ship, frozen in ice, and feels viscous satisfaction. They fought back once. They will fight back again.

Sokka is ten

And ten is so old. An entire decade, an entire year older than Katara. Katara who has been doing laundry and cooking and cleaning their home. Katara who has stepped into the void their mother left. He doesn't hate her anymore. He doesn't hate his father or his Grangrans stories anymore. Sometimes in the dark of night he still hates himself.

He goes fishing with his dad and spars with the older men. He patrols the village and trys to help with building the defenses. He makes dumb jokes and funny faces and sometimes Katara laughs. He loves it when she laughs. He loves it when his dad laughs. He loves it when his Grangran smiles and Bato chuckles. He loves it when his dad tells him he proud of him. Ten is old enough to love.

Sokka is thirteen.

And thirteen is so old. Older than Katara who's still only twelve, old enough to fight back. Old enough to fight.

His father disagrees. He says that his place is here, with his sister, with their tribe. He tells him he's proud and that he trusts and then he sails away.

And so Sokka protects. He builds defenses and tries to train the young boys. He goes fishing and hunting and sometimes Katara comes and sometimes she doesn't. And he still tries to make her laugh but less and less often. And when they fight he apologizes, because it's what his mother would have told him to do.

He goes fishing and Katara comes and she plays with the water and he gets wet. It's always him who gets wet.

An iceberg cracks (thanks Katara) and they find a boy.

Sokka is fifteen.

And fifteen is so old. Older than starstruck fourteen year old Katara, old enough to leave his home to save the Avatar and the world. Old enough to travel across the Earth Kingdom to their northern cousins. Old enough to know when's somethings wrong with this Jet guy. Old enough to get a job for some money (or fish). Old enough to fight their firey followers who chase them across the world.

Fifteen is old enough to protect his sister. And the Avatar. Who isn't just some kid anymore, he's family now, and Sokka will protect him as much as he'll protect Katara. Even if neither of them need him to protect them.

Katara challenges a Master Waterbender to a fight. She doesn't win of course, buts it's a close thing. Far closer than any of the northerners were expecting. Katara can protect herself now. But he'll keep protecting her all the same.

Fifteen is old enough to fall in love.

And fifteen is old enough to watch a girl his own age die.

The moon dies. And is reborn. And suddenly he understands why his father once cried in the night.

And he does what his father did and keeps moving.

They return to the Earth Kingdoms.

He has two little sister now. And neither of them want him to protect them but he keeps protecting them anyways.

They journey to Ba Sing Se. And he finds Suki. He didn't realize they had affected her so much. He's so happy to see her. He wishes she was back at her own home island.

He has to protect her. (She doesn't need his protection) he has to comfort Aang (Katara handles it before he gets the chance) he has to save Toph (Suki dives into the water with less hesitation than a boy raised in the frigid waters of the south)

They have to get an army from the Earth King. But this place is a maze and there's traps around every corner. But it's okay, because they'll find a way to make it work. They'll find a way to win.

They lose.

Sokka is fifteen.

And fifteen is so young. And fifteen is so old. He's older than Katara and Toph and Aang. He's younger than their fiercest enemy and his father and all the soldiers dying in this ancient war. He's old enough to know they need help. A place to rest. A place to be protected instead of protecting.

They modify his invasion plan. Katara is angry at their father. Sokka makes her laugh for the first time in weeks. He's so relieved he almost cries.

Aang wakes up. They spilt up with the rest of the group and head towards the Fire Nation.

Master Piandao teaches him the way of the sword. It's the first thing he's learned that he's been naturally gifted at. (Except for making his siblings laugh and protecting the worlds last hope and thinking up cool team names, but those don't count)

He learns that not every monster is from the Fire Nation, as he comforts his sobbing sister and finally understands the burden her powers can be.

He's horrible at explaining his own plan. Aang doesn't care.

His father is hurt and he takes the lead. They follow his command and all he can think about is his siblings, as his sisters fight and his brother flies.

He falls for Azula's tricks.

The invasion fails and they have to flee. He fails and he has to leave his father and his tribe behind. Again.

Zuko shows up.

Sokka breaks his dad and Suki out of prison. Azula finds them and they split up again. They watch a truly horrible play. And Aang learns firebending.

Aang disappears.

Only days before the comet comes.

They can't find him, but they'll be there to help if he needs it.

Sokka is sixteen.

And sixteen is so old. Sixteen is old enough to lead Toph and Suki as they desperately try to stop the airships. Old enough to fight and to kill. And maybe some will survive, but he steers the airship as they crash into the others. And he pulls the lever that dumps the crew in the ocean. And he looks at Suki and she looks back and he realizes she knows he did it himself so that she wouldn't have to. So that Toph, who is only twelve, wouldn't have to.

And sixteen is old enough to hold Tophs hand. As they dangle high above the ground. He throws boomerang and space sword and he makes a joke to help Toph. (She's crying. Toph never cries. Twelve is to old to cry.)

Sixteen is old enough to know what death looks like when it looms over (or under) you.

Sixteen is to young to die.

Suki agrees. Suki comes back and Toph makes a joke about boomerang, and the sky glows and the comet retreats for another hundred years and they won.

They won.

They won! And Zuko is the Firelord. And Aang took Ozai's bending away. And Suki looks absolutely amazing in war paint.

And his father is proud of him.

And his siblings hug him and laugh at his jokes.

And Master Piandao says they could probably remake space sword. And maybe even make a space boomerang as well.

And the world is at peace for the first time in a century.

Sokka is sixteen.

And sixteen is so old. An entire year older than Katara. And he walks with his father and they talk about the future of their tribe. He sits with Suki and she laughs at all his jokes. He plays pranks on Zuko with Aang and pulls scams with Toph. He travels the world with his siblings, basking in the peace they brought. He makes another sword and is given another boomerang. And he wears both wherever they go.

Because he's sixteen. And he fought in the war. And they might have brought peace but there will always be danger. He's the oldest and its his job to protect the others.

Sokka is sixteen.

And he knows with every bone in his body, that he will always protect his siblings and fight alongside them. His siblings are powerful, dangerous, magical, and skilled. But he's their brother. And he'll never stop protecting them.

Becauss Sokka is sixteen. And Sokka is a brother.

What happened when Clay and Trollex went on their first date? Was it the most romantic date ever? Did Branch, JD, Bruce and Floyd watch them while trying to be inconspicuous?

Oh, Trollex definitely tried to make it the most romantic first date he could ever give Clay. Clay actually wanted to plan the date, but Trollex was super insistent and even said that Clay deserves to be treated, that he stresses over planning things enough. So, despite Clay’s offer, he let Trollex do the planning and waited for him to get him from the bunker once he was ready.

Trollex was running around the whole day getting things ready, dragged poor Synth around to help him too.

By the time he was sure he was finished, Synth was pushing him towards the bunker to grab Clay because if he didn’t Trollex would be stuck there longer trying to make sure everything was perfect.

Unfortunately for Trollex, it didn’t go as planned at all. Pretty much blew up in his face. Which was hugely something he wasn’t used to, normally he’s way too smooth with these things

That’s just the affect Clay has on him though

Clay didn’t mind, of course. The entire time he was amused and loving towards Trollex, even when by the time Trollex realized the plan was a failure and was pouting about it. Clay just bent down where Trollex pouted to give him a kiss and reassured him that he didn’t mind at all, because he just loved spending time with him and that was enough. Clay also isnt a fan of showy dates anyways and much prefers a peaceful and loving hangout instead. Clay just cupped Trollex’s face and goes “You’re all I ask for in a date. This is perfect”, they share a kiss, and continue through the rest of the date laying in a nice open field and watching the stars together with Clay ranting about the constellations he’s read about. Trollex doesnt know a thing about astronomy(he’s a fish), but he listens to every word.

Also, Branch absolutely gave Clay a curfew which was at like 10:00 and they made it back by 10:01

Trollex was absolutely on a mission to get Clay home in time so JD and Branch wouldn’t let him have it, but Clay was taking his sweet time the whole way back. Had Trollex sweating bullets

Trollex ended up having to throw Clay over his shoulder halfway back because he kept trying to get them to stop and check out the nightly fauna(Clay was having too much fun with this)

Clay was very caught off guard when he was thrown over Trollex’s shoulder and kept trying to bargain with him and promise he wont keep trying to slow them down anymore, but Trollex wasn’t falling for it

Once they got back to the bunker, Trollex set Clay down in front of the entrance and that’s where they shared a deep goodnight kiss, one that lasted a lot longer than originally planned

And that very moment, the bunker is opened with JD and Branch both about to head straight out for a Clay rescue mission because he was exactly one minute late just to see this scene before them.

Branch screamed in horror at catching his brother making out with someone. JD jumped out, face planted on the ground, then scurried right back up to run and chase Trollex off his little brother

Clay had to tackle JD midway when he realized what was happening to try and hold him down while casually saying goodbye to Trollex(who had to float a good amount away from JD’s grasps), and right after Clay is being grabbed by Branch to be dragged into the bunker

Clay got the lecture of his life the entire walk to the living room by JD and Branch, but Floyd and Bruce were waiting there too, surprisingly to him, and started crowding to ask how the date went

Also, the entire time Clay was out on his date, JD and Branch both sat in front of the clock to keep track and wait to make absolute sure Clay was getting home on time. Floyd and Bruce only joined them to make fun and to use this for some family bonding time

cloud: hes a simple guy. some stew is good, baked potatoes, pasta, very white guy tastes

sephiroth: everyone expects him to be some fancy type but what he loves is actually homemade cooking especially soups

tifa: her fathers cooking that she tries to recreate everyday. her fav is the grilled fish he used to make for her

aerith: she would live off sweets if she could only healthy foods she loves are any types of fruits and fruit salads

genesis: fancy ass, caviar, gold leaves in his food, Michelin star restaurants but when he gets drunk a kebab is all he wants to eat

yuffie: chicken nuggets. do i need to explain why? you all know why.

barret: seafood boil especially the one his wife made oh it was like heaven. anytime they go to eat one anywhere he comments on how good his wife used to make it

vincent: nobody ever saw him eat like ever. does he even do that... (nachos he likes nachos)

angeal: anything with a lot of protein when he has a cheat day then some pizza or fries hes quite simple

zack: kebab. his local kebab shop loves him so much they call him habibi. also spicy food so spicy people almost died trying it, he has cupboard full of hot sauces, everyone is scared to use them after someone went to the hospital bc of them. tbh he isnt a pixky eater and has a steel stomach so steel he ate rat poison once thinking its candy and nothing happened. nothing at all.

Buggy taking some of his crew that he likes best, and you of course, in a little getaway trip to an island that turns out has a huge lake, which isnt connected to the sea so it doesnt weaken devil fruit users

Buggy gets to swim again, its almost like he's back to being a kid, and he spends his whole day there, racing agaisnt the others, going to the bottom, finding a high place to dive from, and just floating and enjoying the water. Maybe theres even an underwater cave you two hide in to get some moments alone

Youve never seen Buggy so at peace, it's like he was meant to live in the water. Some things wont change, but right now theres a place for him to be at peace, and it means there will be others, now that you know what to look for, and youre just glad you get to be here to see it.

This is so lovely, yes yes yes yes!

Even after all this time, he's an amazing swimmer. He's fast, he can hold his breath a long time, Buggy's in his element. I wouldn't be surprised if he's also a critter catcher. Instead of crabs and fish, he'll find turtles and frogs.

Maybe there's a river that feeds into the lake, complete with a waterfall that's high enough to jump off of, but weak enough for a strong swimmer to dive under. And of course Buggy can dive under. If you can't, or you're afraid, he pull you along underwater. On the other side is a small cave, where all you can hear is the cascade of water and the beating of your heart.

Buggy swims until his fingers and toes are pruney. And still longer. When it's time to get out, he has to hold back a child-like whine. He already used up all his "just a few more minutes."

It's not the exact same - lakes have finite boundaries and the ocean is near endless. But that doesn't make this any less enjoyable. Rather than being reminded of what was taken from him, Buggy feels whole for a moment. And that peace is something you would do anything to protect. ❤️
