Here's how it looks in HMA:
Original + upscaled sprite of the box legendary, Shadavise, for Pokemon Cold Front, my ROMhack. This is set to come out way later, probably in 2026. It depends.
Since this is an Emerald hack, it needs an alt for the animation. I will reblog with the alt once it's done!

In the Kanto and Johto region we don't have any Hex trainers or maniacs. But instead we do have Chandlers who are priests that can talk, exorcise, and repel off spirits especially the evil/possessed ones. Chandlers are a pretty common sight in Lavender Town especially Lavender Tower as they're able to speak, and communicate with the deceased spirits of Pokemon more easily. But now that the tower has been turned into the radio tower... Chandlers in Kanto and Johto are unfortunately slowly dwindling as both regions especially the Kanto region get more, and more advanced.

Hello there💙
Your HEX buddy calling📞🎅 and let me just say, I’m very excited to have gotten you as my match!
I have a little question for you.
Do you have songs and/or poems you associate silrah with?
(Hope you have a good one)
Always yours,
hex buddy 2023
P.S. Homecoming or coming home, that is the question🧐(I’ve yet to find answer to, brb)
Hello, HEX buddy! 💙💙💙 This is exciting!
I have spent entirely too much time, and probably more than I should have, paging through quotes in response to your question (oops), but some random songs that have popped into mind as I did follow, in vaguely descending order of screaming. I've got a couple of playlists for Silrah, but those are specific to fics or AUs so they're probably less useful. (Just wait, I'll think of a dozen more as I listen to music this week and shriek about it into the void.)
Black Tape for a Blue Girl's "Bastille Day, 1961"
David Gray's "The Other Side"
10,000 Maniacs' "If You Intend"
Toad the Wet Sprocket's "Come Down"
Paper Route, "Glass Heart Hymn"
Poetry is harder, esepcially without digging a variety of books out, but W. S. Merwin's "Separation" and Tennessee Williams' "We Have Not Long to Love" both pop in readily. Lately I've had Linda Pastan's "The Five Stages of Grief" stuck in my head, the final lines in particular. My current poetry obsession is George Seferis though, and in a particularly Silrah vein I'd probably point at "Flight", though it's not one of the ones I scream about the loudest. r.h. sin's "infinite us", which I cannot find to link and so am quoting below, gives me (romantic or platonic) soulmate vibes, which I honestly adore -- I absolutely ship those two, but I am equally here for deep platonic bonds instead.
I assure you that when this life ends I will find you in the next no matter what the circumstances are our love is forever everlasting, never-ending
Anyway. Before I don't get to the work I've been meaning to do and just vanish into poetry books, I should stop. This is already a very long and roundabout way of saying "I am bad at this thing but I hope these provide something useful", and thank you in advance!
PS: an excellent question -- though why not both?
#ftwsholidayexchange#excited and scared#but mostly just excited on this side#(save the scared for my own creative efforts)#i love you HEX buddy#asked and answered

i don’t know anything except how stories go
i don’t know anything except how stories go
the music isn't as good as i thought it would be
i'm not sure if i've taken enough drugs or too much
when i take too much, i get grandiose: big ideas. little follow-through.
when i take not enough, i also get grandiose, but i know it,
and i sound like a graveyard glass harmonica when
the wind passes through. when i take the right amount, i do not ask
whether i've taken enough drugs or too much.
instead i hallucinate that i'm a cicada, an elegant disgusting jewel
smithed by mommy nature to reproduce a tinny song,
and i'm grateful to my parents
and the 17 years i spent gestating
and this morbid cherry tree
because nobody buckles their tymbals like i. also, cicadas lack
the relevant receptors altogether,
so the dosing question doesn't apply.
(beat) say,
have you noticed that zoomers are really into columbo?
(you nod)
i've seen him on twitter twice lately, asking "just one more
question—which would you prefer as an afternoon snack?"
and there's a poll, cheez-its
or little debbie snack cakes.
the appeal, i think, is to a generational forgetfulness, to
a generation most in need of alarm clocks and aricept,
to the desire to see forgetfulness as a superpower, as an
equivalent to innocence, to be so impervious to
reality's demands. but haven't we been here
before? didn't milennials all die for the sin of inventing "retro
gaming"? and by the way,
did you hear the one about the guy who gave himself three-hundred
and ninety-one concussions, each time suffering retrograde amnesia
which knocked out his memory of his last pokemon red playthrough?
ah. ah yes. it is not a tale the jedi would tell you.
when i take too much, i get despondent. when i take not enough, i
get grandiose. but the line breaks are for the poet's benefit anyway.
besides, there are kids smoking brick weed in lebanon, we should be
thankful for what we have.
and hex maniac is pretty cute. her pupils spiral
counterclockwise,
going from out to in; in some of the fan art they go the other way but
you can tell those guys don't "get it"; the allure of a counterclockwise
spin on how you are perceived, to have your silhouette distorted
and your details properly misunderstood, to lose at games you've
never heard of it, to eat with chopsticks incorrectly,
to trip and fall and look at the sidewalk and say "thank you.
yes. i had grown complacent in my patterns, my
nucleus accumbens
was running on fumes; and i certainly wasn't expecting that!" and
mean it. i did this once. i was in a state of rare tranquility after
masturbating for sixteen consecutive hours (essentially a
performance enhancing drug for meditation—which is why,
in the tibetan olympics, strict no-fap is required for a week
before competition—and they take semen samples to be sure!)
so (you nod), when the buddha saw me
so grateful for life's misfortunes, he made a "look
at this fucking guy" gesture to ganesh and then said "look at this
fucking guy" as if the gesture wasn't enough. naturally,
i was offended, and besides i recalled the old koan "If you meet the
Buddha on the road, kill him," which i had read in a collection
of koans for children titled "If you meet the Buddha..." which
my Mom had purchased for me in the novelty gift section
of an urban outfitters in santa barbara ("Mom, why are you shopping
at urban outftters?" "son, yr mama just tryin' ta stay cool. say, you
heard of this MF DOOM cat?" "ugh! Mom!") and which had
such thought-provoking aphorisms as:
"If you meet the Buddha in an airport, buy him a cheeseburger."
"If you meet the Buddha at a dive bar, play him some new wave—the
Buddha is big into that shit." the idea being, you're prepared for any
circumstance, which is what buddhism is all about. so i did a
bunch of fast attacks; the buddha blocked; i said "shouldn't
it be all the same to you if i kill you?" the buddha said "it would,
except i want to get home and watch columbo, and i don't
want to wait to respawn." i said, "jesus. just—jesus." then the buddha
kicked me through a brick wall. everyone in the WeWork
screamed and fled, leaving their kombucha behind, and
for some reason the sprinklers went off. then, after the initial
impact, a lone brick fell (because of torque—force times the length of
the lever, remember) and hit me comically on the head, causing a
concussion. i said "guh."
yup, (you nod sympathetically),
i was feeling mighty grim. then it occurred to me: why don't i
play pokémon red? unfortunately, on my cellphone i only had
the romhack version, you know, where all the pokémon are allegories
for depression. so you got your depressionmander, depressioneleon,
depressionizard, and for pokémon where that doesn't work
they use it as a suffix, e.g. bulbadepression, ivydepression,
venudepression. also you can't leave the starting room and
your character moves really slowly. the indie gaming press
loves it. one of the features that reviewers single out is
that, instead of a lone Stand By Me reference, the TV in your room
goes line by line through Aguirre, the Wrath of God, except the
murders are replaced with pokémon battles and at the end
aguirre tries to command a horde of mankeys ("depressionkeys"),
which is a metaphor. dark stuff. it makes me think back on my youth:
lying on my child-king sized bed, masturbating to polyhedral
stellations, suffering from severe geometric dysmorphia as i
compared myself to the grandeur of those idealized forms—god, i
used to hate myself for those wasted hours. i mean, i still do, but i
used to, too. only after years of therapy have i developed a mantra
that eases the pain:
"i am mostly a cylinder.
i am mostly a cylinder." presto. you can get off to anything, even
loomis.
(you nod, hesitantly.) on saturday night,
i throw open the window and scream at the children: "you'll get old
too! an abstractome of brittle opinions even as your bumbling
homunculus drops the data you once used to back them up!"
the children reply "not necessarily, given the rate of advances in
biotech. also, no one cares, grandpa." they play soccer. my
mad pilgrim hair blows in the wind. i scream: "suffer! suffer! i am
omniscience!" they say: "oh yeah? how many fingers am i
holding up?" "four! five! four!" "it was five, you old fart." "the thumb
doesn't count as a finger! you should have a specified!" "OK, new
game: what sort of person am i?" "you are—you are—!" and so
i peer into their souls and know the answer, but i can't
find the words. the words do not come. i have forgotten them.
silently i draw away from the window. the children smirk, but only for
a moment. for they know i am right.
ah, to reveal the soul's heist, to be seen through by the omniscient
and powerless, what a delight! who among us would not cheerfully
kill the buddha when he's comin' through the rye? who among us
has not been blessed by the kind words of a stranger? and yet, we
shouldn't incentivize people to be strangers. society would collapse.
besides, we are no longer strangers to ourselves, you and i.
(you nod.) we will have much to discuss about that.

Problem Solved
Prompt: "Whatever that thing is, it is not what we are looking for so, Dean put it down immediately! Cas stop fooling around like an idiot, and Sam, what the hell are you even doing?"
Summary: The reader’s hands are full when Dean, Sam, and Cas are all affected by an object cursed by the witch they’re hunting.
Word Count: 1553
Trigger warnings: Death, brief mention of blood
A/N: Would love to know what you think! Comments and reblogs are amazing!
Edited by @winchest09
--------
You glanced at Sam as he picked the lock with nimble, practiced fingers. A slight smile ghosted across your face as you checked the yard and surrounding properties for any witnesses. There wasn’t a lock that Sam couldn’t pick.
Dean and Cas had split off and gone around back. The house was huge, with cameras everywhere. The property was thick with flowers and plants surrounding the house, making it easy for the two large men to hide as they worked their way over to the security box.
The lock clicked, and you and Sam crept forward through the door. Guns drawn, you moved around each other with practiced ease. Thanks to Dean’s ungodly ability to flirt, the four of you had gotten blueprints of the house and had memorized them down to the last brick. You moved swiftly to the upstairs, followed by Sam.
You knew the witch was home – you had seen her arrive. Stealth was key in this case. She’d killed eight people with hex bags already. They were gruesome, horrible deaths, and you wanted her dead like you’d never wanted anyone dead before.
Once Dean and Cas had cleared the downstairs, they joined you and Sam upstairs. You peeled off towards the bedrooms with Dean, and Cas joined Sam. The hallways were dark, and there were nine doors to check behind. As Dean entered the master bedroom, you spared a glance over your shoulder towards the other two before you went with him.
As you finished clearing it, trying not to bump into the bed, dresser, desk, or table, you heard a strange thump and then a yell.
You and Dean barreled out of the room and down the hall. You skidded to a stop when you reached the open doorway and stared. Dean all but ran into you as his sprint was halted by your body blocking the door.
Cas had a stupidly silly smile spread across his face, and was dancing around in big circles with his hands waving in the air. Whereas, Sam had his mouth wide open and was measuring with his hands how big it was.
Almost as soon as you’d taken in the ridiculous scene, Dean knocked you into the doorframe as he shoved forward, eager to figure out what was going on. He grabbed some sort of ancient looking scroll from Cas’s hand, and almost immediately started mirroring Sam’s actions.
“Dean!” you whispered angrily. “Dean, whatever that thing is, it’s not what we’re here for! Cas, stop fooling around like an idiot! And Sam, dude, what the hell are you even doing!?” You couldn’t believe you had this to deal with now. You had three men who were currently no better than children, and a dangerous witch you still hadn’t seen.
Backing away, you shut the door quickly, hoping to contain the noise that Sam, Dean, and Cas were all making. With these circumstances, you’d do better against the witch on your own, which still didn’t mean things would go well.
As you turned around, you came face to face with a very smug looking woman. She had brown hair slightly past her shoulders, had a pretty, long face, and looked like she knew how to handle herself. It was the witch herself, Elizabeth.
“Shit,” you managed to get out before attempting to take a shot at her with your gun. She knocked it from your hands as you fired, spinning you into the wall. You retaliated by launching up and taking a swing at her with a mean right hook. She ducked, and you recovered quickly, doing your best to keep your back to the wall. The two of you fought your way down the hall. The blows and kicks were vicious, and you knew this wouldn’t end unless one of you was dead. If you could keep her busy enough to not say any incantations, you figured you might have a chance to extend your life by a few minutes, but without your gun, you weren’t sure how in the hell you were going to kill her.
The fight wore on, and it was becoming apparent that you were at a disadvantage. Primarily because Elizabeth knew the house best. Even having memorized the blueprints, there was a difference between studying the layout of a house and living in it. She knew when there was a corner to throw you against, a table to flip you over, curtains to tangle you in. You’d never admit it, but you were starting to wonder if she was in better shape than you. Being a hunter, you had your fair share of fights, but you’d always had Sam or Dean to come help take out whatever monstrosity you were fighting with.
With a loud smash, you went flying over the kitchen counter and hit the fridge with considerable force. As you lay on the ground, slightly stunned, you fisted your hands angrily, your fingers closing around something which caused you to glance down. It was a knife.
You quickly scrambled to your feet with a maniacal grin across your face. Elizabeth advanced and you launched yourself at her, the knife coming into her view too late. You ran the blade right through her neck, forcing it through her windpipe and into the spinal vertebrae. Elizabeth’s eyes went wide, and her mouth moved like she was trying to speak. But instead of words leaving her mouth, it was blood. As crimson liquid dripped down from her mouth, you heard another commotion coming down the hall. Sam was weaving around in the hallway, smashing into the walls as hard as he could as he walked, chuckling stupidly. You sprinted over to him while the witch was in shock from your attack. You reached behind Sam’s waist to grab his gun, which was filled with witch-killing bullets.
You heard her gurgle as you spun around and fired without hesitation. Elizabeth stared at you lifelessly before dropping to the floor. You smiled grimly at her and then kicked her hard with your booted foot.
“That’s for the innocent people you killed, you bitch.”
You watched her for a minute, and then realized you weren’t hearing any stupid noises from Sam. You turned to look his way and saw him looking proudly at you. “Well done, Y/N. I can’t believe you killed her by yourself!”
“Yeah, well, I can’t believe you let yourself get cursed when you knew we were in a witch’s house,” you teased.
As the beating you took stared to cause your body to ache something awful, you thought, Shit, this is gonna hurt tomorrow.
Groaning to yourself, you walked back upstairs with Sam to find out what had befallen Dean and Cas. You opened the door, and immediately was knocked off your feet by two well built men falling out of the door.
All of you let out grunts and “oof”s as the three of you landed in a pile on the floor. Immediately on top of you was Dean. You looked at each other in surprise and relief.
Both of you started talking at the same time. “What the fuck are you doing?” “How’re you still alive?” He laughed as you chuckled weakly.
“Get off me you big lugs,” you moaned. They got up good-naturedly and looked at Sam, waiting to be told how the spell was broken.
Sam responded to their expectant looks by saying, “The only thing I can think of is that Elizabeth had cursed the scroll herself to cause whoever touched it to lose some sanity. But since it ended, I’m assuming that curse was tied to her life force.” He looked pensive and then shrugged. “I mean, kinda rare, but I’ll take it.”
Taking their pause as a cue, you spoke proudly, “I killed her.” Dean and Cas looked at you in shock. Continuing smugly, you said, “I mean, she was kicking my ass, let’s be real. But she made the mistake of throwing me over the kitchen counter.. By the knives.” You paused briefly to give them a knowing look and then kept going with your story. “So, I hit the fridge, and as I made a fist - cause man, am I pissed now! - my hand closes on a silver knife. How lucky was that!” You laughed. “I grab the knife, and launch myself at her before she can attack first. Got her right in the windpipe. Then Sam, who somehow got out of the room I shut y’all in, wandered right into my lap with his witch-killing bullets. Problem solved.”
Sam gave you a hug and helped you up. “I’m sorry we weren’t able to help you, Y/N.” He looked at you proudly, but behind his eyes you could see guilt warring with pride.
“We’re proud of you, Y/N! Couldn’t have done it better ourselves,” Dean said, “C’mere!” He reached for you and grabbed you in a big bear hug. Squished against him, barely able to breath, you peeked over his shoulder, and saw Cas smiling softly at you.
You extracted yourself from Dean’s hug, as much as you loved the rare moment, and gave Cas his turn. He let you go quickly, since he was still a bit of an awkward hugger. You chuckled, and said firmly, “Let’s go home, shall we?”

Considering all of the artifacts in Pokémon that are over a thousand years old. Red Chain, TAZ's weapon from X and Y, the Odd Keystone, The Reveal Glass, the Prison Bottle, The Red and Blue orbs, the Tidal and Clear bells and the Eon Flute and the presence of the Ghost type. As well as the Regi's and how they were sealed. Magic was definitely an element of the ancient Pokémon world but in modern day it's all but gone. Where did it go? What happened to it?
Hi there namelessbaron! I personally think that magic is still there honestly. I think (as in many works of fiction that have magic in the past) is that technology superceded the need for widespread magic use. It’s still there as we still see humans in modern day with magic powers (like the Lorekeepers of the Draconids or the aura guardians) as well as the ghost type, and fairy, dragon and psychic types as well.
Think about the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town. Ghost types (and literal ghosts) run rampant there. You have hex maniacs and channelers who have some sort magic ability to see Ghosts but then you also have the Silph Scope, a piece of technology that can do the same thing as the hex maniacs/channelers can.
An even better example is the dilemma of the Regis. They had to be sealed in the past and the ancient humans used magic to do so. But nowadays a Pokeball could do the same job, particularly a Master Ball, Heavy Ball or Quick Ball. Pokeballs in general are mass produced so it would be easier to to just fling some Pokeballs at the Regis than hiring a magic user (or several) to seal them in a cave.
The presence of aura guardians, lorekeepers, hex maniacs, channelers, espers, fairy tale girls and even dragon tamers shows that the magic of Pokemon world is still there and that it’s practice is being passed down through generations. One of the recurring themes in Pokemon is the battle between tradition vs progress. I feel like many in the Pokemon world prefer tradition and would seek out the magic. And sometimes the magic might still be the best or only way to handle a problem (think of the rusted sword and shield in SwSh, the lunar wing to cure Darkrai’s nightmares, or the Sun and Moon flutes in SM/USUM). The magic still has it’s place, it’s just not as needed in the average person’s everyday life in the modern Pokemon timeline.
Now it would be interesting to see how in Pokemon Legends: Arceus the magic of the Pokemon world might be portrayed. On the one hand we see an old timey Pokeball, but we also know that this world does not have the technological advances we see in the modern timeline games. So I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw more of a magical presence with Pokemon Legends in the form of more active aura guardian and channelers and maybe even new classes of NPCs that do magic healing or something else.

@victorydestined has sent: #4, 8, 9 for Drake, #6, 11, 14 for Morty
The pokémon headcanon ask meme! [Accepting, specify muse]
4. Does your muse name their pokémon? Is there any theme to their names if so?
// Drake doesn’t give any official/real nickname to his pokemon, although he has the habit of “affectionately” calling them with whatever insult comes to his mind.
8. Which pokémon is considered your muse’s ace?
// That honor goes to his Salamence! Most battles, don’t last long enough for him to bring him out. As such, throughout his life, his ace has seen very little action in battles.
In fact, if it weren’t for promotional material from the League- most people would likely assume that his other dragons, such as Altaria or even Kingdra were his ace.
Some notable battles he got to use Salamence on include:
The time Glacia challenged him for his position at the League;
The battle against Steven (and Wallace, if we bring up emerald’s timeline);
Brendan’s challenge.
9. Which pokémon species do they love the most, if any? Do they own one?
// Actually, Drake has never put any thought into this. So, he likely wouldn’t have an answer ready for this, although it is safe to assume it would likely be Salamence.
6. Do they have a favorite pokéball type?
// For the majority of Morty’s life, he has consistently used great balls. In fact, most of his older pokemon are kept in one. Seeing how the majority of the creatures he ran into, during his teen years, weren’t really that strong, meaning he always found great use out of it.
Although rest assured, for a teen that virtually had next to nothing on himself, great balls were a high price he had to pay for an effective way of capturing his pokemon.
Although, as he grew older and new pokeball types were created. He has since developed a preference for dusk balls.
11. Has your muse ever lost one of their pokémon? If so, how did it happen?
// Morty’s oldest pokemon, Dunsparce, passes away just a few weeks prior to the PWT. It was due to advanced age, the pokemon used to belong to his father so it was bound to happen.
And I still have to write this down, but:
His Mismagius, one of his oldest partners, is given to a kalosian hex maniac he befriended during his disastrous travel around the region. Ever since an accidental death of a trainer involving her, Morty has felt like he failed her as a trainer (this is why she isn’t allowed out of her pokeball, unless a battle is about to begin). As such, after putting a lot of thought into this, he is certain she will be in better hands with them rather than with him.
14. What are your muse’s opinions on battling?
// He battles for a living, so I suppose his opinions on the matter are pretty much given away by that fact. His views on battles, doesn’t deviate much from what the League endoctrinates.
It is the best way to bond with your pokemon, grow together with them.
However, he is strongly against the idea of people relying way too much on weak pokemon. For him, weak pokemon isn’t an idea, rather a fact that shouldn’t be ignored for the creature’s own well being.
‘What good is there, for a pokemon that keeps losing because their goals are completely out of their reach? All because of their own natural limitations... They will only keep pushing themselves, until they drain themselves completely. It just becomes dangerous to the pokemon’s own well-being.
As a trainer, you have to understand that sometimes, you just can’t change a pokemon to suit everything that comes their way. You may love a pokemon as much as you want to, however, it’s not okay to keep dragging him through the mud, all because you refuse to see the flaws in your favorite pokemon.
Your should work around these flaws, this is what truly differentiate a rookie from a real trainer.’
Obviously, he can’t voice his real opinion. Because this opinion, strongly goes against the pokemon League’s biggest preaching to anyone.

the year is 2224. evolving technologies can no longer be regulated & have advanced astronomically. humanities are capable of extended life through genetic mutegens & mix & match synthetic tissues & cybernetics in efforts to maintain their positions or to propel themselves forward. major conglomerates manage every aspect of life from their top floors of their towering sky-scraping fortresses while down below the streets are run by drug pushing gangs, tech hustlers and illegal body enhancement back - alley clinics. the extreme poverty, classicism and continuous technological surveillance has pushed the supernatural community further into the shadows and the underground, seriously depleting their populations. however the advancements of technology has also forced all species to work together in order to maintain the secrecy of their existence as well as their survival as mankind stretches across the stars.
as the last remaining original vampire kol has taken a more prominent position of power among the supernatural community and makes kol partly responsible for the vampiric community alongside the hybrid marcel who operates out of new orleans. both kol and marcel speak for the vampiric survival, existence and inter - relations with the other species but are also responsible for their attacks, mistakes and overall social behaviors. kol has a large network of vampires, witches and humans to make this possible, establishing law and order amongst a species that had otherwise done as they pleased.
marcel has a much more public position of power than kol as marcel is more charismatic and sympathetic. kol lacks the same tolerance for people, while kol can easily manipulate and charm single or duo targets, marcel’s skills of persuasion extend to entire groups and manipulation of a mob mentality. no one is more surprised than kol or marcel at how well they are able to work together . . . given that they rarely have to deal with each other face - to - face.
kol has become the very thing that he has always despised : an authority. even worse : he’s good at it.
for the majority of the supernatural realm kol’s past as being a homicidal maniac are whispered only in stories and tall - tales, nowadays there are few still alive who knew him before his family’s deaths and his reputation now is that of a stern but level - headed and visionary leader of vampires. while kol still possesses a reputation for his skill as a fighter, his wealth of knowledge on magic and his cunning, he is also known for being capable of mercy and for making decisions that aid in the continued existence of all supernatural creatures and not only his own.
kol has two main hubs of business, the first being one of the sky - scraping fortresses in upper society that he leaves in the hands of one of his previously mentored vampires, nasir, and his disciple, vaenia who is a techno - specialized witch. the pair have proven capable of operating the high society politics and actually being able to stomach the high rise political and largely plastic societies and communities that would otherwise drive kol into bloody and brutal murder, though kol does still oversee major decisions / choices and makes appearances for important conferences, interviews, business meetings etc. the second, and the one that kol is most active within, is located in san francisco undercity and is a direct link to the underground supernatural movement that is disguised as a cybernetic enhancement facility that specializes in weaponized synthetic innovations. kol is backed by a handful of advisers, vampires, witches, humans though his most localized partners are a witch, reela, two vampires fei and her disciple zada, two humans sameen and aja and one werewolf jian. this inner circle of advisers / specialists help maintain the relative peace between supernaturals and mankind but kol oversees it all. every final decision / play or action must go through kol first. the san franscico hub has an upstairs nightclub that also acts as kol’s main office.
he also works closely with the the other supernatural communities for community wide decision making. the politics of his new lifestyle can be somewhat overwhelming at times due in no small part to kol’s nomadic nature and he can become increasingly restless. he rarely has the time to go out of his way to do things he enjoys himself and every decision or action he takes has become a reflection on his entire species. there are times when the pressures of responsibility can have kol act out but these have become rare and far between since coming into a place of power.
kol’s sireline still exists ( as my kol has never died ), and now makes up the majority of the vampire population giving them incentive to keep kol alive as they’re still bound to his life. there is no surviving white oak and the white ash daggers have long since been destroyed. kol has also added to his tattoos -- there are several magical runes that provide kol a much stronger resistance to magic, curses / hexes no longer have as much effect on him.
in regards to cybernetic / synthetic enhancements and supernatural communities : vampires, hybrids, un - triggered werewolves and witches are capable of receiving these kinds of alterations to their bodies and have them stick. triggered werewolves however run the extreme risk of their cybernetics / synthetic upgrades killing them when they transform during the full moon as the technology doesn’t shift or morph with them. most werewolves who trigger their curses after already receiving upgrades must have them removed before their first shift. hybrids who have been cybernetically upgraded sacrifice their abilities to shape-shift so as to avoid the same effects that werewolves suffer. some witches have also found that extensive cybernetic upgrades or synthetic implants have caused their connection to their magic to wane / weaken or even become unstable, others have adapted their magic to specialize in techno - magic but find other forms of magic difficult or even impossible to perform. vampires can receive cybernetic upgrades and synthetic implants but must see a supernatural specialist so as not to raise any questions. they must also be dead when performing the surgeries in order to withhold their healing factors long enough for the cybernetics and synthetic implants to bond with the body.
as an original vampire kol is entirely incapable of receiving cybernetic upgrades or synthetic implants due to his physiology. when passing for human this has caused kol to be mistaken as a ‘ purist ’. a group of mankind who reject cybernetic upgrades and synthetic implants. he possesses ‘ obsolete ’ technologies such as a contact lens for communications, online internet streaming, contact information, daily planner etcetc and a bracelet that acts as a currency payment method whereas most in society have implants capable of performing these feats. however, despite the advances in technology and genetic manipulation, kol is still faster, stronger and capable of supernatural feats that far out-wane other species and besides marcel, is one of the strongest creatures in existence and continues to become stronger and faster.
side notes : as of sticking to canon - ish, klaus & elijah died destroying the hollow. rebekah received the cure from damon and lived a long human life, had children and grew old. freya in much the same with rebekah, lived her life with keelin. unless discussed with hopes, hope never became a vampire and so she lived a long life as a human / witch. marcel runs new orleans and has a large community of loyal and steadfast allies of both vampires and witches. davina left a sizable legacy in witches community and started the claire projects -- an advanced magical schooling system that protects young witches and cultivates traditional magics as well as spearheading the campaigns of adapting magic for the new technological age.

⏳⏳ {one for each!}
For every “⏳” I receive, my muse will openly talk about a bit of their backstory.
"I used to spend a lot of time at the game corner back in Mauville when I was a kid. The director of the place I grew up in always said we weren't allowed to because that place was 'a cesspool of corruption and sin', but hey, it's not like she needed to know everything I was doing, right? Besides, I don't see how playing Marill Kart every now and then would send me down the path of evil or anything like that."
"The owner of the game corner is a really nice guy, actually. Since I was a regular there, he'd usually tell me in advance when he was going to buy new games so I could help him set them up and let me play for free occasionally as long as I didn't tell anyone. Then, when I needed help a few years later he offered to lend me a hand, though since his own place ended up going under that didn't last very long. Still, I appreciate the gesture."
"There's this friend of mine from my hometown- her name's really hard to pronounce, so I just call her Mary- and she's really into tarot, astrology and all that stuff, you know? She's what people call a hex maniac. So, anyway, we got into all sorts of trouble as kids, so I have a bunch of stories to tell you about her."
"There was this time we went exploring and found this small island off the coast with this creepy-looking tower on it, so Mary was like, hey, that looks like a nice place for stargazing, we should go up there! So we did, and she spent the whole night rambling about constellations until this creepy Draconid lady showed up screaming about how we were 'disturbing the sacred Sky Pillar' and chased us off. Pretty sure I committed sacrilege that day."

// During his first years- as a gym-leader, Morty used to hire Hex-maniacs instead of the sage/medium classes.
It was definetely because he had been one himself for years, and he wanted to give his fellow trainer class-mates a chance at a stable work! And it might also have been because Morty wanted to surround himself with more people of his age-group.
However, that didn’t last much. After an incident involving on of his employees, within a year he fired all of his staff-trainers. And had to call in for new ones.
And ever since then- he has been only hiring the mediums/sages classes for his gym. He now chooses them, either by their skills and by how advanced in their age they are.

Addicted to coolrom pokemon? Us Too. 6 Reasons We Just Can't Stop
Help keep up with the balanceLike prior Pokémon games, Emerald issues you to get, trade, and fight Pokémon. Summary: Like earlier Pokémon games, Emerald problems you to collect, trade, and fight Pokémon.
A city example: Mauville has changed so very much since the original games it's barely recognisable, becoming Hoenn's version of Castelia or Lumiose. Lugia is also fairly prominent in merchandise and marketing related to the games and their linked film Pokémon: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages thanks to its popularity in Pokémon Silver and gold In ORAS, it's an "extra" Legendary Pokémon special to Alpha Sapphire and does not have any bearing on the main plot (Ho-Oh, which acts as its counterpart in Omega Ruby, didn't have the same kind of advertising and didn't come in the movie). Sequel Hook : As well as the Battle Frontier still being built by the time these games happen, it's revealed at the end of the Delta Event that Steven will be asking Wallace to dominate his role of champion after he goes to travel all over the world, which can be interpreted as a hint towards a feasible future sequel with a few changes from Emerald being put into the games.
Unlike the initial games this is averted for the Master Ball with the Team Hideout, akin to Emerald. If you show among the members of Video game Freak a Pokémon originating from the original Ruby and Sapphire, he'll give you a special certificate to display in your Secret Foundation. In the original video games, Wattson mentioned having programs to convert the entirety of Mauville City but was struggling to do so. Arrive the remakes, it appears he was able to finally achieve his objective as Mauville City has gotten the largest overhaul of any city in Hoenn.
While this pertains to every Mythical (i.e. event just) Pokémon after obtaining/completing the National Pokédex, it's more obvious here thanks to Deoxys arriving after Jirachi and becoming a catchable Pokémon (instead of the original video games where the 'Dex would end at Rayquaza for most players, with the two beng hidden without means of seeing them). To unlock them, you have to talk to a Hex Maniac in the northern part of Route 111's desert using the Mach Bicycle, a Bird Keeper near the Climate Institute at Route 119 using the Acro Bicycle and the moves Browse and Waterfall, and a Biker in the post-game only Fight Resort. While difficult to select them, the original Player Search Program avatars of the Kalos video games remain programmed into game to permit for backwards compatibility with Pokémon X and Y.
If you raised the affection levels of a Pokémon in Pokémon-amie, then traded it from X and Y to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire or vice-versa, the Pokémon will still have the same affection for its original trainer if it's traded back. In the Aqua hideout, Archie had a photograph of him, Shelly and Jirachi used around twelve years agonote that would be when the initial Ruby and Sapphire were released, and claims when Kyogre awakens that he wished to take the globe back to its beginnings to make "that Pokémon" happy. Adaptational Villainy : Used in both games; In Omega Ruby, Maxie is normally a little more ruthless than he is in the initial games, seemingly not caring about Pokémon and wanting humanity to basically expand at any cost, and accusing Tabitha of attempting to replace him as leader when the Admin attempts to warn him against awakening Primal Groudon.
Schrödinger's Question : Upon beginning the post-game in Emerald, the Player Character 's mom is watching a news report about the sighting of a strange Pokémon roaming Hoenn, but doesn't catch its color and asks the participant what it was (between crimson and blue). Dual Boss : Emerald includes yet another Double Battle where in fact the player and Steven Stone team up against Magma Admin Tabitha and Magma Leader Maxie at the Mossdeep Space Middle. Deoxys' forme is dependent on what video game it is encountered in (Regular in Ruby and Sapphire, Acceleration in Emerald), while whether Latias or Latios are fought via this technique is dependent on how the Schrödinger's Issue the player's Mom asks in Emerald was answered.
In Ruby and Sapphire it's strictly post-game, while in Emerald you can go grab it as soon as the battle between Kyogre and Groudon has been resolved. Notice The Game Boy Advance had backwards-compatibility for the overall game Boy Color , but its link cables were unable to connect both systems; coupled with these data framework redesign, there was no way for importing or trading Pokémon from Gold, Silver or Crystal to Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald. These games could be the biggest case of 1 Game for the cost of Two in the franchise, as there is literally no chance to legitimately collect all 386 Pokémon without aid from FireRed , LeafGreen , Colosseum , and XD (Oddly, just Ruby or Sapphire).
In addition to introducing a fresh tale and region to explore and over 100 new Pokémon to catch, Ruby and Sapphire brought with it many new gameplay features such as for example individual natures and Abilities for every Pokémon, dual battles, and Pokémon contests. If you still need even more, spend time on Route 110 building it up. After that, cruise back to Mauville City juiced up, and mind for the Gym. Games are leaf green, sapphire, fire reddish, ruby and emerald.
Pokemon ruby, emerald and sapphire re-printing boxes with game boy advance cartridge good shape be flat packed for great postage. You might ask, if Pokemon Crimson, Blue, and Yellow are on eShop currently, and Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire exist, why bring these video games to the eShop? As Ruby and Sapphire curently have remakes, they may be forgone in favor of Pokemon Emerald, which has features not present in R/S or their remakes, such as the Battle Frontier.
In Ruby, the participant could only capture Groudon , while in Sapphire, the player could just catch Kyogre In Emerald, both Legendary Pokémon can be caught in separate caverns after defeating the Elite 4. The main antagonists that the participant faces are Team Magma and Group Aqua , which differs from Ruby and Sapphire where one team was the antagonist and the other was the protagonist, trying to stop the other group. The overall game is an improved remake of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire , increasing the third generation of Pokémon games.
Having exhausted my duplicate of Emerald 1st, then Sapphire, I've experienced a fair bit of time with this particular generation (The best Pokemon game overall continues to be among Crystal and the more recent HeartGold). But the remakes will possess a lot more in keeping with Ruby and Sapphire than Emerald in the manner they will split Team Aqua and Team Magma between your two versions. It depends. There have been broad hints that the Battle Frontier will become returning in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire; not to mention, there will be substantially more Pokémon to fully capture in the late game.
The combination of Pokémon's diminishing popularity, the lame rival (Brendan and May don't even get around to evolving their starters in the initial), pokemon emulator the fact that the region was unusually water heavy, and various missing features conspired to create Ruby and Sapphire something of a black sheep in the series for a long period. Like the GBA itself, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire embodied the awkward middle point between the original Game Boy and the revival of interest in handheld gaming as a result of the Nintendo DS. Certainly the tale in Emerald has about as very much driving force behind it as a bike without pedals - you actually move because you are asked to. On the way you get caught up in the filthy doings of the eco-conscious yet somewhat sinister Groups Aqua and Magma who are trying to awaken warring legendary Pokémon Groudon and Kyogre because of their own mischievous ends.
Extra geek points go to players who manage to ‘Capture ‘Em All', although with nearly 400 of the little buggers to get it isn't as easy as it used to be. Therefore Pokémon was in '96, so that it is usually in Emerald and so it has gone to be in later games. That's not to state that the formula is not a great one, it's just looking for sprucing up. For anybody that have been living under a Geodude since 1996 this is one way a Pokémon game falls: starting in a small town your character is provided a Pokémon and promptly units from an epic adventure to fight and catch monsters in Pokéballs, then teach them and battle to the Pokémon league by defeating the region's 8 Fitness center Leaders. Unfortunately Emerald had not been the game to carefully turn everything around; instead simply because an amalgamated companion to Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire it had been more of a stopgap between two generations of RPG's.
(there have been multiple printings of these games, earlier printings did not have as many security features.) the plastic material should not be as transparent as ruby sapphire emerald. Two-versus-two battles, which seemed a throwaway addition in Ruby and Sapphire, are actually a regular occurrence - individual Trainers gang through to you, and you could even get together with the odd GBA-controlled character for appropriate cooperative fights. We like having the vast majority of the Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon imprisoned in a single cart, we like the wireless capability and we just like the new Battle Frontier, but couldn't we've had all this to begin with, instead of for another 30 notes two years later?
Players who've already soaked up everything Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire have to give you will most likely appreciate the largely subtle changes Emerald makes, thanks to the "gotta capture 'em all" mentality bred by the series, though it's unlikely to do a satisfactory work of scratching the itch for an all-new Pokémon adventure. Ruby and Sapphire were great-looking GBA games when they first came out, though Emerald places in small effort to improve the quality of the images, giving the overall game a slightly aged look. However, Emerald's biggest weakness can be that a lot of hardcore Pokémon players currently played through this adventure when it was released as Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.
39 She also included Emerald (alongside Ruby and Sapphire) in a list of Game Boy Advance games that she wished to see on the Nintendo 3DS ' eShop. A man whom players encounter many times throughout the game will eventually allow them to access the Fight Frontier after defeating the Pokémon Little league Champion. Pokemon Emerald is defined in the land of Hoenn and may be the remix of Ruby/Sapphire.
The native Hoenn Pokédex in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald features 202 Pokémon, 135 of which are new.

Yes, hello it's Yan and here to make the tiniest reserve on the role of the male Hex Maniac! I wish to redo some things about that old grump before I can hopefully bring him back from the grave since my activity died with him. Thanks in advance and have a day to die for!
The tiniest reserve on the biggest grump, you say? I think I can squeeze him into my schedule! Your OC’s been around the block a time or two, but perhaps this new insight will freshen up his look a bit. Whoever said you couldn’t teach an old dog new tricks obviously hadn’t met you. Please have that maniac ready to shed his shadows by November 11th!
