Hi! I love your art style! Btw what do you think of Rushun (Russia x Hungary)? I'm so sorry if I offended you in anyway because I truly don't know a whole lot about the history between these 2 countries. I just thought that they looked really cute together, when I got exposed to Hetalia and read some fanfics oops <3

It’s okay to ask really, history is history afterall.

And RusHun does look cute from the outside, but their backstory….If you like angst and drama, then RusHun is a good ship on the list.

I myself love Russia but that doesn’t apply to most Hungarians so….I don’t see it as a fluffy ship. No offense really, that’s just my opinion if I look at the history and average Hungarian mentality when it comes to Russia and Russians.

As for how Russians see us…well, I can’t really speak in their place but from what I gathered they like our climate, our wines, they like to stop by in Budapest and they kinda prefer us over other folks in Central Europe. (Is that true?) Though they have trouble placing us, as we kinda belong to the “German gang” but we also had enough Slavic influence to make us familiar, yet we are absolutely none of those and so we are more like an enigma. In other words, Hungarians are confusing as heck. XD

The history is rich, there is much to explore so I do advise fanfic writers to do some research while writing their interactions because the dynamic is very interesting but lets not forget that it’s mostly a struggle between the two with lots of mistrust-issues. Especially because Russian occupation is the most fresh wound in Hungary’s life. Fresher than any other opressor’s memory in our history.

1956 is one important year to remember (I wrote a whole post on it previously), also the Russian occupation of Budapest in 1945 is another traumatic event.

As for earlier centuries, Russia has been a forever present threat to Austria-Hungary, plus he basically handed us back on a platter to Austria when we wanted to get free in 1848, so that’s also a sore point.

Modern day Hungary is in a tough spot, trying to balance “friendship” and “healthy distance” with Russia at the same time because although the two have reconciled that doesn’t mean Hungary will trust Russia not to corner her again. :/

Russia is one of the world’s superpowers afterall, so he will always be an intimidating presence in Hungary’s mind and with her being such a small and insignificant country when it comes to power, there is really no power-balance between the two.

In conclusion, there is this “I must get on his good side or else I’m gonna get in trouble” mentality from Hungary while Russia really thinks that he means no harm and that they are on good terms.

But putting all this aside, they’d indeed look very cute together. :3

Elizabeta is famous throughout the kingdom of Club as a powerful female swordsman, she "born on horseback", not only good at sword fighting, but also good at horseback riding and archery. Elizabeta's fiancee - Roderich, who is a smart, sharp thinker, has strategic visionary and serves in the royal family, taking care of the people.

The two were engaged, about to officially marry, when the incident occurred: Elizabeta was suddenly chosen to become the Queen. Both have to cancel the marriage.

Ivan heard the name Elizabeta for a long time, decided to choose her as Queen, and she owns the right to lead the royal army. Basically, this is a political marriage, Ivan harbors ambitions to make the kingdom as powerful as possible.

At all time, he was lonely, besides, he himself only cared about national interests and thought very pragmatically. Everyone both respects and fears him. But having the presence of the Queen in the palace made Ivan a little happier, even though Elizabeta considered him a colleague. Perhaps Ivan felt that little joy because he finally had a wife, or a woman by his side. Sadly, the woman does not belong to him.

Ivan knows about the relationship between Roderich and Elizabeta but decides to endure the loneliness. Ivan told himself that this was a political marriage, of his own choosing, so he had to continue to endure it, it was best not to raise any expectations for Elizabeta.

Ivan didn't know what are those bitter and sadness feelings was. He sad because of his lonely destiny or if he wanted Elizabeta to pay more attention to him than just greetings and discussions.
