Types of Functions

Injective (One-to-One): A function is injective if every element of the domain maps to a unique element in the range. No two different inputs map to the same output. Example: f(x)=2xf(x) = 2xf(x)=2x is injective because different values of xxx result in different outputs.

Surjective (Onto): A function is surjective if every element in the range has at least one input in the domain that maps to it. Example: f(x)=x for x∈Rx \in \mathbb{R}x∈R is surjective if we define the range as [0,∞)[0, \infty)[0,∞), but not surjective if the range is R\mathbb{R}R because negative numbers cannot be squared.

Bijective: A function is bijective if it is both injective and surjective. Every element of the domain maps to exactly one unique element in the range, and every element in the range is covered.

Panel of Hesy-Re, Overseer of the Royal Scribes

The relief is almost completely preserved, although it has some damage in the lower and upper parts. Hesy-Re is depicted standing. He wears a short wig with ringlets. Scribal utensils hang over his right shoulder, which consist of an inkpot with two openings for red and black paint, a bag and a long rod, which would hold writing brushes. Both arms hang at his sides and Hesy-Re seems not to hold anything in his hands, although the right hand is largely destroyed.

In front of Hesy-Re is a short offering list, which includes beef, poultry, drinks (e.g. wine) and incense. In the upper part of the panel are Hesy-Re's titles: Great One of the Ten of Upper Egypt, Heka Priest of Mehyt, Father of Min, He who sees Min, Overseer of the Royal Scribes, and Overseer of the Craftsmen of the King. His most notable title was Wer-ibeḥsenjw, meaning either "Great one of the ivory cutters" or "Great one of the dentists", which makes him the earliest named dentist.

My first time making a felt doll...well, it came out OK, kinda cute...actually, i think, really cute. i did want to add stuffing, but i didnt have enough felt. T_T

I drafted the design first, put the parts on seperate layers, then assembled them like a pattern... it was easier than i expected, but still a bit of work!

I'll share the pattern and the design below, so you can try it for yourself if you like (though i did end up improvising a lot of things. I totally forgot his harness and the pants stripe, somehow!) anyway, i guess it can be considered a sort of early christmas gift to you. ^^
