Okay no because I wanna dissect nereid!achilles SO BAD!!! Like does he have 206 bones like a normal person? More? Less? Are they made of cartilage like a shark? Is he cold blooded? Would his blood be clear like a lobsters?

I love the different ways people portray him. Sometimes he’s straight up half fish, other times it’s purely instinct rather than looks, sometimes it’s an h2o just add water situation, other times it’s subtle differences like freaky eyes and sharp teeth and pointy ears.

Would be like a pretty tropical fish? A domesticated koi? A deep sea freak? Would be bioluminescent? Can he camouflage? Grow back limbs? Am I thinking too hard about this?

There’s endless possibilities!!!!

I still think beard is so diva for learning about football/their team only DAYS before arriving to richmond and still having a bit of an attitude when nate was commenting on how great roy is,,,, like. “He won the championship back at Chelsea” or something like that and beard just goes “yeah. Eight years ago.” Like dude you learned that yesterday calm down

#I just don’t think beard really knew About football till he got there #like maybe he knew BIG things like who various players were but it definitely wasn’t a focus of his.#but he used his superpower (autism) and taught himself the entire history of football before getting there #and over time his love grew and he became a fan of cruyff in that time #like beard IS a sponge like ted said!!!#and he keeps learning about football too like he reads so many books and rewatches old matches #I think he often goes to games that aren’t Richmond (just not west ham LMAOO)

#i do not think jamie's the type of player to ever earn a bunch of cards even like. s1 era #we only ever see him canonically getting carded in the fight with roy and that's bc (jamie vc) roy started it #if he was the sort we definitely would've seen him more during the west ham match in 3x04 but ! we do not !#im very certain he grew up not playing striker and even more certain he grew up as a midfielder #he took the best parts of roy's playing and made it his own #i really think roy's influence would be visible on him to people who really know football history #obviously there's other influences too (r*naldo is visible in the show jamie pulls the same faces as him)#but roy is the big one #i think penalty kicks have been his specialty since probably his academy days #and they were a big part of the reason he got sent to richmond when pep heard they needed a striker #and i think he spends an excess amount of time studying film like. probably more than ted does with peace and love #yk how some people (me) need to watch something while they eat? jamie but he'll put on game film instead of a youtube video #also. wears 8 for england after sam gets his call up i dont make the rules. boy is a box to box midfielder and fuck oliver hardy

i think while beard had never passionately followed soccer/association football before his employment, he did admire several famous football players. obviously, beard has a love for johan cruyff, even going as far as having a framed photo in the entry of his flat (seen in beard after hours). obviously, beard knew of zava, thierry henry, gary lineker, pep guardiola, etc loooooong before becoming a coach.

he just wasn't exactly too invested in the game itself, which much more of his focus given to american football + baseball.

#like i think beard knew of the Big Names in football and had a lot of admiration for the big players and such.#but he wasn't too invested in the game until richmond. like he'd watch a game here and there but.#it wasn't like now. where he's fully invested and tbh!
