Murdoc isnt narcissistic

I cannot sleep so i was thinking about smth about Murdoc. I have my own psychological analysis for Murdoc and this is purely 4 fun, ik he's a bad person and im not trying to apologize his actions, i just think his psychology is very underrated and sometimes misunderstood in the fandom cuz 'he's just the bad guy' but once again, this is just 4 fun by smn who really likes psychology and analysis.

Anyway. I don't think Murdoc is narcissistic. Is he confident? Yes. But i've been going trough some of his old interviews etc. And I noticed he's oftenly asking for almost a reassurance that he's amazing and funny etc. And oftenly gets jealous/panicing/defensive when someone says otherwise. He many times said that he knows he's narcissistic bastard etc. He's realizing his issues, he knows he isn't perfect and that he kinda sucks, and I think narcissistic person wouldn't act or think like this. Jamie shared a series of cards on Instagram with the characters bio from the phase 7, kinda like a dnd stuff. Literally in the first sentence Murdoc is described as 'wants to be loved'. Murdoc is bottling Up his emotions while craving love since he never really got it from anyone so he has this facade of this egoistic, sarcastic, narcissistic evil person (which is halfly true) but deep down he's terribly self awared and probably deals with low selfesteem and Maybe even some selfhatred. It's just a mask he put on long time ago and can't/don't want to get rid of it. How I said Murdoc isn't exactly a classic narcissistic case but rather a "I'm terrible but I can't do anything with it, it's in my blood and no matter how much I will try to change it I always be this kind of person" similar to Bojack Horseman. I think these 2 shares also a lot of similarities.

we dont think the people who dont know how we characterize Shinryu will understand what this means but hes literally a cocker spaniel but a person. hes also a nippy chihuahua but a person. he is also just a little guy and precious baby and he likes to try to eat things that are NOT edible.
