You had finally settled down into bed, your thoughts slowly being consumed by recent drama at your school that you had started, just why did you have to go and punch Trina Sinclair, your pretty sure you fucked up whatever nose job she got, the thought alone made you giggle a bit as you clutched your pillow tightly slightly feeling better.

Almost too quiet for your liking, all of a sudden you felt a pair of strong arms wrap around you from behind restraining you, panic rose and you had managed to land a hard blow with the bottom of your elbow into your captors assumed crotch, you knew it did the trick when you had heard a hiss erupt through their teeth . they released you immediately clutching their parts, you turn around to see none other than the school's douchebag Jason Mccardy.

after seeing specialist and $1,500 later, we have confirmed that smores is in top shape and i just couldnt feel more blessed. I am so relieved I have been thinking so hard about his end of life and to know that is not something we have to think about is awesome.

so as the orig post of his diagnosis above, under ultrasound, liver and kidney look fine are doing amazing.

we switched his diet and have found that chicken is causing an irritation and itchiness and i believe he is not allergic or not able to tolerate chicken any further so i have to cut it out of his diet and limit consumption.

the probiotic made him constipated for a couple of days and thats normal seeing as it gives me constipation also, so that seems consistent across humans and animals, to be clear he has his dog probiotics( proviable)

during specialist visit, they checked his liver values and they said it went down to about a 400, normal is about 150 i think but they said it has gone down significantly since Neighborhood pet vet in 2023 where it was so high the reading was like 9999999 repeating.

they believe it could have gone down either bc he feels better or bc the steroid shot that he received for itchiness can make the values fluctuate.

he needs to continue to take his liver supplements

he will be tested for liver enzymes again and if it's still abnormal they recommend a biopsy. this was the thing that scared me prev bc someone on the internet claimed their dog biopsy was something horrifying like $14,000, no joke. but people on the internet be talking out of their ass because i asked the specialist and they gave me a quote of around $2,000 or so which i will happily pay.

he needs to be neutered sometime in this year. to get rid of the large prostate issue which they said will cause him to have problems urinating in the future because it can get in the way.

specialist total was $1,056.18

so i was not able to post these wonderful news because almost immediately after, like 4 days maybe

smores was having major butt problems and he was swollen, and pus and it was black on one side and he would keep licking it and messing with it, started on Monday May-6-2024

Mon night it was bleeding bc he kept messing with it so I had to cone him, he kept me up all night crying. so next night we did diaper. and the next couple of days calling vets to try to get him an appointment

his primary is out for the entire week and i refuse to go to ER to be charged $400 upon admitting

finally get an opening for Anasazi

they were amazing

got him cleaned up, i did not have to leave him there, they asked about how i got him and our history together

i told them he has had this happen before

they said he will need to go in regularly for them to express it

they showed it to me after it was expressed, like a thick dry paste that was stuck in his anal gland

said some dogs just have it happen and they need a regular cleaning and smores is one of those dogs, doesnt surprise me bc my dog seems to be sensitive of everything and typically gets the worser luck, like how he can be so sensitve to foods.

of course repeat visits for anal gland cleanings will be cheaper and less work than this time

they did have to pump the area full of solution to clean it out

now my baby is 100 but we need to fix his chicken issue, i noticed he does ok on beef so i might give him that in place of chicken

Jumin liked to plan everything in advance, thats how he worked best. So when he had finally visited your apartment for once and seen your two...male...cats, he was incredibly frustrated.

He wanted you to move in with him, hell, you guys were both already planning on moving in together.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that you had two male cats but you had only told Jumin you had two cats, never did you say what sex they were.

You thought it was no bug deal but at this point Jumin was almost sweating, your calm and collected boyfriend had essentially flashed out of existence.

"Jumin you dont have to worry, theyre both neutered" you say with a laugh, you couldnt deny the situation was a little funny.

Jumin still seemed panicked as he looked at both of your cats.

"I cant have them near my Elizabeth, they'll get her pregnant"

Jumin stands close to you, inching closer and closer as your two cats move towards Jumin.

At this point his arms are around your waist and hes hiding behind you, your cats still moving closer to him. Of course they got very close trying to smell him since you usually came hone smelling like him as well.

You call for them to get closer but Jumin hesitates, arms tightening around you.

"Jumin why are you even running away from them?"

"Because if they get close then when I come home Elizabeth will smell them on me and I dont want that" he says, voice monotone but his eyes stood glaring at your cats.

You turn around and look at Jumin in the eyes, giving him a playful glare and softly grabbing his face so his attention is on you instead of your cats.

"I, your amazing boyfriend who would never ever lie to you, has told you time and time again that there is no way they can get Eli pregnant"

Jumin lets out a groan, adjusting his stance and looking back at you.

Suddenly his business like demeanor came back, you hadnt seen that in a long time since you guys started dating, he was usually much more open now.

While in that moment he didnt pet them or anything, it was a good start.

Its been a few weeks, you're now settled into an apartment with Jumin.

This evening was one where both of you were not going to be at home, so Jumin quickly called up a bodyguard.

"He won't be at home and I currently have to get going to a business meeting, get here as soon as possible. You have the keys to open the door, do not let any of those two cats get close to Elizabeth"

Jumins voice was low and demanding, a little bit intimidating in your ppinion but you didn't mind-

He swiftly hangs up and looks back at you as he puts his blazer on, adjusting his sleeves and tie.

"I have to get going my love, enjoy your evening with Jaehee ill see you later" He gives you a soft kiss on your forehead and then your lips and with that he was gone.

You ran out and as soon as you left the door, a car stood waiting for you.

Quickly giving the driver the location, you wait patiently to get there, no rush since you werent late.

You got there pretty fast, traffic wasnt bad. As you look up you see Jaehee waiting at a table, coffee in one hand and a menu in the other.

He didnt react when he heard the lock of the front door lock, or maybe he just hadnt heard you enter.

You oull out your phone as quickly as possible, not even being able to fathom what was right in front of your eyes.

Is this a dream?

No, no, this is defently not a dream.

As you take a step forward Jumin looks up.

Once he sees you, a soft of nervous smile sets on his face.

"Weren't expecting this were you?"

"No not at all, how the hell did this happen"

"I didnt notice them coming towards me and...all of a sudden they were like this. I wasnt sure what to do so i just, let them"

You'll be honest, it was honestly such a nice view to see three of the people you most love be so close. You felt happy.

You take a few more steps and one of your cat notices that you're getting closer, now meowing at you. You grab him and sit down where he was just resting and isntead put him on your lap.

Now both you and Jumin sat close, one cat on your lap and the other resting on Jumin's leg. Soon enough Elizabeth came in too for some cuddles.

All in all, you looked like a whole family, and you all sat cuddling eachother. One of Jumins arms wrapped around you and you cuddled up to him, phone in hand.

You opened the messenger and quickly sent the photo of Jumin and your cats together before he could demand you to delete it.

Messages started filtering in quickly, many of them beung from the infamous seven o seven.

I've neve made a donation post before so I'll just explain everything here

TLDR: Me and my partner, @dantemoore0 , both live with his mother in her apartment. After asking us to go unemployed for several months to avoid scheduling conflicts for things she wanted to do, she is now requiring us to both submit job applications and be hired by the end of today. We have 30 days to save money from that job before we are forced to move out. We have no money, no credit, and no friends nearby to live with, and the job she wants us to work at is one im incapable of doing so, due to symptoms of my mental illnesses. She is demanding we leave in 1 hour as of this post to apply at our McDonald's where she expects them to hire us on the spot and for us to begin working that job tomorrow.

Please, we need money to do literally anything about this situation. I'll put my paypal link under this paragraph. This morning, we were woken by @dantemoore0's mother, who gave us the news that we had to start working today and then move out in 30 days. Until this point, we had both been unemployed for several months, experiencing verbal abuse from her as she ignored our mental health issues and chronic fatigue and demanded we continously clean up her apartment, and regardless of how much we cleaned, we would be yelled at afterwards for not doing enough and for the house looking filthy anyways. She had been out of town the past 24 hours and we spent that time cleaning, and we didn't finish until 6 in the morning. My body is in so much pain I can barely walk, and I am incapable of standing for longer than a few seconds.

I am autistic, as confirmed by my mother, without any diagnosis paperwork as she declined so that it wouldn't show on my records and interfere with my future. I'm incredibly sensitive to touch and texture, and preparing food on the regular, quickly, is not something I am capable of doing. I am also in a massive amount of pain, and my anxiety is spiralling out of control to the extent that I uncontrollably spasm during panic attacks, which happen often now. These new symptoms are terrifying to me, and I've been regularly suicidal, which she claims makes me a selfish and disrespectful person to her. I have been continously going into shutdowns that render me completely non-verbal

I have $5 in my savings account, and $.83 cents in my checking, I have no credit card or any kind of credit history at all, and @dantemoore0 is deep in student loan debt he's been unable to make payments on, causing his credit to drop. He no longer qualifies for her previous credit union after being disowned from his formerly adopted family and has spent the past several years without a bank account.

We have 3 cats to take care of, which his mother got us after feeling guilty about the amount of stress she causes us, and we are almost solely responsible for their care and maintenance. We haven't been able to take them to the vet even once, and as such they haven't been spayed or neutered. Two of the cats are in heat and must be kept seperate from their male sibling, and one of those cats has a medical condition (we think) where she will remain in heat until she is bred or spayed.

I have no shoes to work in, because all I own are sandals that were gifts from friends to avoid overheating in the heatwave, and boots that were christmas presents from family. My last pair of work shoes was thrown out by her, and my partner's shoes are several sizes too big for me to wear

On top of this, our cats are running out of food. She refuses to get the kind of wet food they eat, and then, because they aren't eating the kind she does get, stated that she isn't going to get them more food because she's sick of the cats "wasting her food and money".

We have several tote boxes of belongings from when we moved in together that we have no place to store. We have no luggage for our things, and no dresser for our clothes, and no way to transport any of our belongings because neither of us has a license or a car.

We have a bug infestation thats from a combination of living above a Public Storage rental space (where she gets housing through her job), and my previous abusive family. As such, she made us throw away 90% of our furniture including our dressers and most tables and boxes. Most of our belongings now are expensive presents from friends and family over the years that, on top of being financially valuable, provide some of the only sources of emotional reprieve we have. If we continue living with her, she has said we would be required to throw those away for fears of bug infestation. These include both our TV's, all of our gaming consoles (2 PS4's, a PS3, a PS2, and a WiiU, all gifts) and most of our video games and DVDs.

We have no Wi Fi/Internet at our house, and rely solely on our mobile data to communicate and do things. We can only put in job applications on the rare times she can drive us to our college campus, where only one of us can apply at a time due to me no longer having my login info, because application websites crash on our phone even when using the desktop version.

My physical health is deteriorating rapidly. Both mine and my partner's mental health are going to hell.

Even after all that, I feel like I'm forgetting info. If i remember anything more, I'll edit this post, and put it under an Edits header, and date it.

my mom said he has to be an outside cat only- and you can see the problem. i live in a suburban area, near busy streets. i really dont want him to get hurt.

TeeVee Podcast’s Voltron s8 review

I’ve been waiting eagerly for TeeVee’s review of s8. If you recall, their s7 review was what gave us the man getting choked up about Shiro’s relationship. 

The link to the podcast is here but if you’d prefer a sort of transcript, here are some of the highlights for me. I didn’t always catch who was speaking but I wrote down initials where I could. S=Shanon, A=Antony, M=Moises, C=Chip D=Dan. The panel is divided on their feelings on the season. 2 of them seem to have hated it, one liked it, one thought it was fine, and one feels mixed about it. Anyway here we go, some great quotes ahead. 

Under the readmore cuz it’s long. 

S: "After 7 seasons of a show that was going to be one of the animated series of the decade, they not only did not stick the landing, they fell on their butts, rolled off the mat, off the lines, into the judge's table and their leotard popped open"

"A lot of the plot was callbacks to things from seasons ago that we really probably didn't need to see again." "I wasn't entirely sure that they weren't gaslighting me."

Man Shannon is calling out some great points. She's calling out the dropped druid plot thread, and wondering what the point was of showing Lotor's past when he's dead, and nothing can change in his present and his redemption can't really happen.

A: "endings are hard. I was disappointed with this season [...] it was let down by poor plotting and that final battle made me throw my hands up in despair most of the time. But I have enormous sympathy for the EPs. Maintaining a longform episodic story is hard. And to pull off an ending that satisfies even MOST of the audience is harder yet. and let's not forget they were always upfront that vt always had 'editorial interference' from up top. Toys, the fact that it's aimed at children, corp resistance to some of the more modern social issues that they've tried to tackle. THAT SAID, we don't know what happened on this production, who had the final say, what they argued over. and I say this cuz a lot of the fandom drama over it assumes a LOT over how media and entertainment like this is made that simple ARE. NOT. TRUE. Some of the stuff I've read has been ABSURDLY offbase, like that there were different writers rather than just 1 the whole way through which ignores how TV is made. And if you think these writers just go off and write a script without talking to anyone first and then they come back with something that must be filmed without any changes, THAT'S NOT HOW ANY OF THIS WORKS. [..]we don't know who made these decisions. The studio isn't always the bad guy. Sometimes they rescue things that would otherwise have been a horrible mess. And unless you were IN THE ROOM, you don't know, and neither do any of us. So let's all bear that in mind. [...]You can't lay the blame OR credit on any one person. For any of this." 

They're laughing & making so much fun of the final 3 episodes and how baffling they were. 

"Don't even get me started on Voltron merging with Atlas [and the crew disappearing] that was a bad, bad idea." 

"But that was the ONE time Shiro was back with the team!"

a couple dudes are relatively ok with the Allura death because we've never seen a WOC heroically sacrifice herself for the universe and usually it's the Shiro hero character D: They also point out that technically she wasn't fridged so.. yay?

Antony and Shannon vehemently disagree. 

A: "My problem with that ending was more just that it was... not. good." he makes a comparison to RotJ where Vader still dies and it's his SON, who lives, who 'redeems' him. "This was none of those things. It felt like a terrible lesson. You can be so evil that you kill literally billions of people for 10k yrs but if you say sorry just before you're about to be executed it's alright, dw about it, we'll put the universe back to rights. NO, that's a terrible lesson!!"

S:"They had the LIONS. That's my problem. Throughout this series we've had stakes going up but there has always been a trading of ideas, what can we do, what can we figure out, up to the point where they wind up sacrificing the castle, but they go through steps before that 'is there anything else we can do’. And here, there's not even... she didn't even get to say goodbye to Coran! This is the one character, WOC, and she has sacrificed throughout this entire series. She lost her planet. She lost the last connection she had to her father in the AI. She kept LOSING things over and over to the point where she sacrifices her crown to help Shiro. and the thanks she gets is that she has to turn around and say nope I've got to away and fix all of this and apparently never see you all again. It really, REALLY REALLY bothered me. All of my friends who have CHILDREN who watch this show, universally the kids were upset and angry and tearful and HATED that outcome. This did not feel like a triumph. Having to lose Allura like that robbed any kind of triumph in the success of saving all the universes. And I think that's one of the reasons that this last part of the season sits so poorly with me. I feel like it should have ended in a triumphant way. even if it meant losing a couple of the team members or the lions. Of course that takes away the toy aspect which is why that's not an option. We already had several tragedy arcs in this series. Zarkon, Honerva, and Lotor had tragedy arcs. Why does Allura have to have one too? We've had enough." 

Antony & Shanon KILLIN IT on this podcast y'all.

C: "This series relies so much on 'oh wait, there's a new upgrade', 'oh wait, there's this new thing'" A: "Well that was the entire final battle." C: "So there's this handwavy Allura has to sacrifice herself. The heavy lifting wasn't done to make this an earned moment."

S: "I do think, whether it was at the direction of DW or WEP (Vld IP), without those little epilogue cards, there is the potential opening that Allura might be able to return.[..]It was open to interpretation."

One guy likes the Shiro ending for the surprising progress aspect, even though he's not thrilled about how it was put together. also he isn't convinced the epilogue wasn't planned. He likes a lot of s8 but all the stuff he likes is tied to stuff that he really didn't like.

S:"The shiro card is the other reason that I think those things were shoved in. For me, that turns Shiro's entire character into a token when he wasn't before. When they introduced his sexuality, it was done BEAUTIFULLY. There was this conversation with his significant other a mature relationship that ran into its problems and therefore couldn't happen anymore. Adam could've been Adele, and nothing would have changed about that conversation. It was not the defining characteristic of Shiro. It was just something else about him."

S: "And then s8 happens and Shiro is divided from everybody on the team. There are so few interactions of any kind that aren't just barking orders. or making plans. Keith is the prime example. Their friendship had been a backbone of this series and suddenly they can't even stand more than feet 5ft from each other. 

A: “It’s barely evident, yeah.”

M:”And the same with the rest of the main cast. And if they had set that up at the end of s7, that he’s going to go into the background a bit, it wouldn’t have felt as weird.

S: “And they didn’t! S7 was miraculous in the fact that even though he’s no longer in a lion, he’s still got a vital part to play in the series. And s8 erased that. It pretty much neutered him! And the kind of message is once you've revealed this character to be gay, we've gotta keep him out of the way. And if they had not put those end cards in, again the fact that he's a gay man is just the fact that he's a gay man and it's not any bigger or smaller aspect of his character, but they did not EARN him marrying random bridge crew member #3."

A: "and RETIRING! A man who LEFT adam because he felt he had to go and fight."

A: "He left the guy he loved before because of his devotion to"

S:"To fighting to making things right"

They called him Adam! They fixed that now. It feels like a hugely clumsy attempt to grab the woke points for a character that didn’t need them.”

Moises then talks a little about Shiro and Keith and how he and Shannon both thought there was something there, and still do, but they can’t know what happened behind the scenes and to theorize on the intent of that relationship is “conspiracy theory land” and trying to decide what the writers were prevented from doing is like “reading tea leaves and chicken bones”. He references people extracting things from his own writing. 

M: “As much as I wanted to see that relationship flower and flourish, the fact that it didn’t, look, it’s one of a million times that’s happened for me, with fiction, where things didnt turn out the way I wanted to see them.”

S:”The other thing is, I think there is enough out there as far as interviews with JDS and LM to show that at the very least I think they meant to leave it openended. Again  if you take out that endcap, the last shot includes a shot of just Shiro and Keith, together, same screen, looking up as the lions go away, without saying anything further. I know I pie in the sky hoped that they were gonna kiss this season when we did our s7 recap and yes that was the shipper in me talking. I truly did not expect that they would be able to go that far. What I did not expect was for them to tear it down. And I feel like that’s what they did. Between the complete absence of interactions in s8, and then throwing that epilogue in there.”

Dan doesn’t understand how that could be because he sees no reason for them to do that. Shannon patiently explains about DW’s history with LGBT characters but Dan insists that the creators told the story the way they wanted to and he’s fine with Shiro getting a marriage even if it’s a character they don’t know. 

Overall the panelists love the show still, and in most cases prefer to consider it in the realm of s1-6 with a weak final double season (7&8) or that the show ends after s7. They would all love to know how long the NDAs last, a making of perhaps, to know what the heck happened and what changed along the way. Big mood my dudes. Big mood.

UC 48.33 & 34 - Edi/Bri + Man/Dar

I was going to start this by saying it had been a while since I’d last had to do a multi-episode post, but I just scrolled back and it was apparently only a few months ago, so I guess I can’t. I was also going to open with a bit about how, if I wanted to use this blog as an example of my writing prowess to any prospective employers, it would be like putting down as a reference your boss from that bar job where you’d fallen asleep midway through pouring a pint and caused a mini lager-flood. But I said that last time as well, so in addition to showing up my inconsistent posting schedule I’d also be outing myself as an uninspired self-plagiarist. 

Its obvious, both intuitively and from the brief period when I actually did manage to upload a few hours after episodes were dropping, that the only way to grow my engagement and readership is to get my blogs online in that short window immediately after the show when people are in that sweet, sweet UC headspace. Thats how the internet works, you move too slow and you get left behind. So why is it that I’ve allowed myself to postpone my self-imposed deadline by a week, so that I write the previous week’s blog just before the current one should be due? Why is it easier to distract myself from the same focus-scattering effects of Twitter and YouTube that I should be trying to counteract by getting the work done right away after a seven day interval has passed?

I can’t answer those questions, but I’m trying to get the point where I can by sleeping with my phone in the other room and reading my 12 issues for £12 Economist when I wake up instead (all the podcasts were right, its like a collection of really long tweets, but without the hashtag wars). 

One advantage of the fact that no one reads these anymore is that I feel less obligation to not go off on solipsistic tangents before I’ve even started (not that the obligation ever stopped me before).

Anyway, as of two weeks ago, we’d had eight quarter final matches (twice as many as you usually get), and only had two to go. Durham and Teddy Hall were relaxing in the pot for the semi final draw, having already won a couple of QFs each, whereas Glasgow and Emmanuel would be staying forever in this stage after two losses on the trot. Four teams were still trapped here, with a win and a loss under their belts, but they would know their fates soon enough.

Edinburgh vs Bristol

In my last review, I said of Emmanuel, Cambridge that they had had the hardest possible quarter-final draw, getting knocked out by Teddy Hall and Darwin, and I don’t disagree with that, but Bristol faced the same two opponents, and would be sitting pretty in the semis had it not been for a hundred-point comeback by the cuddly Oxonians, after they had neutered the exuberance of Jason Golfinos in their match against Darwin. Edinburgh knew they’d have to be wary of a Bristolian quartet who had shown they could rise to the level of their opposition after a fairly nondescript opening few rounds.

Fitz-James buzzed in after only two words to give Edinburgh the first ten points of the game, and they doubled their score with two bonuses on Sir John Everett Millais. Booth looks anguished as he negs the next starter though, and Basu gets Bristol off the mark with a speculative guess of Tolstoy. Sumner, a physicist who’s been very good at physics questions all series, beats Fitz-James to the buzz for Transistors to give the English side the lead.

But just like the current in an AC circuit, they don’t hold it for too long, as Paxman generously says he’ll accept Fitz-James’ answer of the North Star, one of the given names for Polaris, in place of Polaris. How kind of Paxo. Bonuses on sub-atomic particles as represented by the initials corresponding to numerical scientific notation follow. Having correctly identified 10^-12 as being pico (i.e ‘p’) Booth goes too deep and suggests the pi-meson. FJ frowns, and rightly diverts to proton. Sometimes the questions aren’t so complicated.

Bristol take the lead with the Picture Qs, and it continues to alternate rapidly, with neither side able to take control of the contest. It looked as if it was going to be a matter of who had their noses in front when the gong went, but Edinburgh managed to find something in their locker, taking four out of the last five starters to put the game out of Bristol’s reach.

This will have been filmed soon after Bristol’s devastating last-minute loss to Teddy Hall, so that may have been playing on their minds going into the final stages, and they again seemed to run out of steam, falling just short of the semis for the second time. The Avonside University have now made the Quarter Finals on seven occasions in the Paxman era (including in four of the last five years) but have failed to make it beyond them every time. This was certainly the closest they’ve come.

For Edinburgh its a third semi in as many years, and they’ll be hoping they can make the leap Bristol couldn’t and go one stage further than they’ve ever managed before.

Manchester vs Darwin, Cam

Darwin, the last Cambridge college left in the competition, had looked unstoppable in their first two rounds, before coming unstuck against Bristol in their first quarter-final. Their Talismanic captain Jason Golfinos was back on form as they smashed fellow Cantabrigians Emmanuel, but the loss demonstrated an over-reliance on the skipper. It only takes him up until the word ‘Chrysippus’ in the opening question to show that this confidence was not misplaced. Darwin go ten points clear with his answer of laughing, which Manchester are not. They know they’re in for a tough game. Lynott comes in early in a bid to counteract Golfinos, but can only send the Mancunians below zero, where they would stay for some time. In fact, the Golfmeister would amass four starters personally before Hanson finally buzzed in, scared, with Shannon, and brought them back into positive figures.

A starter for Mulley, and Golfinos’ fifth of the evening meant that the match was pretty much out of Manchester’s hands by the halfway stage, but Antao quickly swooped up the music question, on piano pieces with the right hand missing, and was even able to name the exact piece, which impressed Paxman. This would be the highlight of Manchester’s night - not a bad highlight, all told, but indicative of the gulf between the two sides. Golfinos hammered out another starter, and then seemed to ease off a bit, allowing his opponents to break into triple figures.

For Manchester, this series represented their best performance since the end of their dominant era in 2014, and perhaps a sign that they’re on the path back to the top of the game. And for Darwin, if Golfinos turns up, this may well represent a great shot at the trophy.

This draw is interesting because it guarantees a non-Oxbridge finalist for the first time in 6 years. Its also a bit strange because Edinburgh and Durham already played each other in the QFs, and rematches are generally avoided until the final. Its in part for this reason that the past five finals have been all-Oxbridge affairs, so unless the past draws have been pure coincidence, this indicates that a conscious decision was made to guarantee a finalist from outside the Big Two...

Ok, I am trying to get some new auto insurance quotes from other companies. My problem is I have a few moving violations. One speeding ticket and one ticket for running a stop sign. Car Insurance - PLEASE READ!?

In 2004, I saw a car that I wanted to buy at a Nissan car dealership and I took out a loan. At the time I didn't know anything about insurance. It was all greek to me. I was very young and had no one to help me out. Anyway, I went to American Family Insurance and the agent seemed very nice. I told him that I wanted to buy this car and before I could finalize everything I had to show proof that I had full coverage on the vehicle. He told me that I most definitely had to get full coverage and I signed the paperwork, gave him a check and my insurance coverage started. I NEVER CHANGED MY COVERAGE!! (Let me make that clear). So 1.5 years later my car slid on the ice and another lady thought she could speed to get around me and she instead hit me. The officer stated that none of us were at fault because I was sliding when I should have been in control of my car and she should have never tried to pass me so we would each be responsible for our own damage. Right away I called my agent and he later called me back and stated I didn't have collision coverage and I would have to pay out of pocket for my damage. Again, I didn't know anything about insurance and I had totally forgotten that collision was required so I believed this guy. I left it at that but was very upset with him because he stated that I didn't have collision coverage and I told him that as a professional insurance agent, he should have told me that I needed full coverage on this practically new car!!! So, 6 months later, it was still bothering me and I left him. The car wasn't drive-able (I had to pay $600 just to fix something with the wheel mount) and then it was drive-able but there are dents in the car and damage that equals $2,000 to fix. That may sound cheap to some of you but it isn't to me. Just 3 days ago, I was telling this story to someone and they told me that I should have had full coverage on the vehicle and I should look into this. I called American Family and a lady is doing some investigating because she could see I had insurance on my car in 2004 but didn't know what kind. But, she confirmed that my car was under a lien and the insurance agent would be required to put me on a full coverage in the state of Wisconsin. So, this lady stated she would call me back on Saturday. In a perfect world, she could state either 1). You had collision coverage at that time and your car will be fixed at our expense or 2.) Your agent never put you on full coverage. Come Saturday, what if she says that it turns out my agent never put me on full coverage? Isnt he at fault? Everyone (including their own company) states he should have known to put me on full coverage! So, can I try suing the company? Im thinking even though the lady was really nice and told me that my insurance agent should have known better that Ill hear something from them stating that their computer system shows that I was a client in 2004, but they dont know what type of coverage I was on. In the end, they will probably want to cover their butts. Please offer any suggestions! THANKS! And yes, I have become more knowledgeable about insurance for my sake. :)""

When the greeter approached the gate Pablo immediately displayed offensive behavior- lunging and hard barking for several seconds. The greeter was removed and Pablo ceases the behavior.
