So! Darcel >:D he is ~20 in BoTL but he'd only be 19 when the book actually takes place because his birthday is in dec ldhkeuw

i will put a minor warning for child abuse, nothing goes into detail but it's talked about

His mother wasn't involved when he was younger because she didn't want to put him in danger with the whole half blood thing. She made sure he was safe but avoided actually appearing to him.

The relationship between his parents was similar to that of Zeus and Beyrl Grace, in the sense that she was actually present to him and then disappeared when Darcel was born. He'd adored Selene and when she left, he didnt take it well.

His father turned to alcohol and would take his anger out on Darcel. Eventually Selene just kinda...yoinked him. He stayed with her for a good few years until the Titan Army formed. While he was with his mom he met Hina Zhao, a daughter of Helios and later found himself meeting Polaris, a son of Asteria

He was also given a commander position, alongside Hina and Polaris >:D

I think more people need to play around with Damian's speech. Don't get me wrong, I love the antiquated Victorian child style of speech, but also he's a teenager that swears plenty in the comics. We really need more scenes like:

Damian: Father, I regret to inform you that I have been assigned in-school suspension for the next three days.

Bruce: What, why?!

Damian: My classmate Kevin was disparaging a female classmate for turning him down, so I called him 'a rizz-less, basic-ass neckbeard bitch' and said I was going to fuck his mom and give her a son she'd actually love.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
