Hero of Hylia

I finally decided to finish this design, I thought about it more times because I wanted to keep it like the original but at the same time make it immediately clear that he is an important spirit, in fact this is the one and only divine spirit!

His task is to protect Hylia, his legend has been passed down through the millennia as the chosen hero who sacrificed his life to save the people remaining in the lands of Hylia.

This should be the final concept (unless I change my mind like the other 100 times it happened 😅)

This is the bridge comic I've wanted to draw forever between the Hyrule Historia manga (that introduced Hylia and First Link) and the start of Skyward Sword. My hands finally caught up to my brain.

So the headcannon that Wind can see ghosts right?

Headcannon, he can see Mipha revive Wild

Headcannon, he can see lil Time, who died, watch over Legend and Hyrule

(ie worry over when they look sad or curl up and sleep w/ them)

Headcannon, he can see Fierce Deity float around Time, Wars, and the others

(ie poking Wars in the ribs and muttering about his eating habits, trying to push Time back to his bedroll, attempting to tuck Wild in, fretting over whenever Twilight gets injured, sitting by a homesick Sky, curled up around Legde and Rulie w/ lil dead Time's ghost, making funny faces at Wind once discovering he can actually see him)

Headcannon that whenever it seems Four's eyes look purple-ish, he sees Shadow flicker over him with a very fond look in his eyes

Headcannon that Wind can see the first one flash to life above them full of fury when one gets badly injured or angry, he's the most corporal, so much so that Wind thought he was alive the first time, he particularly likes Sky

Headcannon that none of them know until Wind tells them or something happens

This is the one and only divine spirit in my story, a spirit so strong that it is comparable to a god. His main task is to protect Hylia, also has something in common with Link, you figured out what?

I also add that I have practically rewritten his story as I think it does not fit the events that occurred, but you will find out later.

Take the broken mask drawing as symbolism (?). A piece of him is now forever a part of Mask, and there's no taking that back.

There are many protrayals of Fierce Deity out there, but I like to think he ain't necessarily mean (quite the contrary), just a bit out of touch with how hylians work and feel. Fierce Deity deemed some things necessary for Mask's survival and well being, and not necessarily all of them were free of consequences. It was done with good intentions tho. If only he bothered to explain/tell Mask that...
