Episode 6. It's the end.

It's been a long road. 24 episodes, 3 seasons, a light novel, and 5 years. But here we are, at the end of this franchise. ... ...What's that? There's been new installments since I've started? Season 3? Oh, I guess I'm not quite so finished as I thought. I'll have to consult with my sources* on what to do about what's come since. It wasn't part of our original deal, but it'd be a shame to take such a wide break again. In the mean time, however, the end of this season remains.

Problem: Yuuna's dying of Amaterasu being pissy. Solution: Stop the all-devouring hellfire to negate the curse.

Problem: These are a handful of girls that are far more suited to beating up big monsters than they are to stopping global warming: dante must die mode. Problem: God's dying. Solution: Marry a tree.

Problem: This kills the Yuuna.

So, going into this, we have a few very big issues that need resolving, only a single episode to fix them in, and quite frankly I don't have the slightest clue what the cast can even do to fix them. Which makes me worry that when they DO fix them (IF it's them that fixes them), it's going to feel like kind of an asspull. A deus ex machina. One could say that of Season 1, but this would be bigger. More problems, less sources of solutions. And thus, any resolution would in term feel more unearned. Hoo boy.

Still, maybe I'll get surprised. Doubt it, but it's not like I haven't before. Anyhow, let's go.

Where the FUCK were we?

If I recall correctly... Tougou got cursed for doing a taboo, then Yuuna saved her by taking the curse on for herself since her body's god catnip, and now Yuuna's slowly burning to death with a bad luck curse because the gods are assholes. The hero club found out because of her journal, and now they want to save her but the only real lead we have is that 'as long as the world outside's on fire' Yuuna's fucked which... doesn't exactly seem like something within our heroines' capability to overcome. Hmm, hmm, hmm. So much touhou connections I want to make, but for the moment they're all too tangential.

Let's finish this shit up, shall we?
