Hera: Honey, just so you know I invited Omega and she requested a plus 5
Kanan: Plus 5? That’s a little too much
Hera: I know but she insisted, and the more the merrier
Kanan: Well, if it makes you happy
-At the wedding-
Hunter, Crosshair, Wrecker, Tech, Echo: *staring at Kanan*
Kanan: *staring them back*
All together: *pointing at each other* WAIT A MINUTE

okay but imagine grown up omega and hera after the defeat of the empire and them meeting up with the rest of the bad batch and jacen is also there and they get to catch up with each other and then hera says something along the lines of "you know, you saved his father" because you can be damn sure kanan confided in hera about his experience with order 66, so she knows.
now, the only ones who were there when kanan escaped from them, were hunter and cross, but i think that hearing that kanan got to live a somewhat happy life with hera and the rest of the ghost crew, that must have been a relief for both of them. for hunter because of his Dad Instinct™ and probably having been worried about what happened to the kid. for cross because that's one less person on his concience.
also, hera wouldn't be where she is today if it weren't for them, helping her and her family on ryloth, and saving her husband from certain death when he was just a child. the batch helped the rebellion more than they were aware of. hera will be forever thankful to clone force 99.

I wonder if Chopper plays the blackmail videos he undoubtedly has of Kanan for Hera sometimes when she’s sad.

I’m not sad, I’m just thinking about how there should be a Dinluke fic where Luke is good friends with Hera from their rebellion days and vents to her sometimes about how he feels he can’t act on his feelings towards Din. Even if Luke isn’t following the old Jedi rule of no attachments there’s still that nervous feeling that Din will reject him and it would make everything different and Luke didn’t want to risk it. Hera looks at him sadly once he’s done venting and puts a hand on his shoulder, she tells him not to wait. She tells him that if he does, even if it’s another moment, that would be a moment he and Din could’ve shared together. She opens up about Kanan, Luke knows what happened but Hera had never poured her heart out about it before, She tells him how much she regrets waiting and pining in secret, and even when there was something undeniably there, she still waited so long to let him know she loved him. She tells Luke not to make the same mistake, that even if Din doesn’t love him back, he won’t have to spend the rest of his life with that regret.

if sabine ever takes shin to mandalore to see the newly rebuilt and flourishing planet, the armorer and the rest of the mandalorians would adore shin and think of her as a fine warrior
sure, maybe shin isn't as much of an expert as sabine when it comes to blasters and other weapons, but shin is still a warrior after all; despite being backed by the fact that she is a force user, her skills as a mercenary alone is formidable
just imagine as sabine takes shin on a mini-tour, shin gets showered with compliments for her armour by some of the mandalorians they passed; it's like they know just from watching her body language and her moves that she is a warrior and that she belongs with the mandalorians and their culture
sabine takes shin to explore mandalorian delights that sabine dearly missed and observe intricate crafts from workshops, a few weapon experts offering them new blasters to try as they go along the little tour
they end up at the great forge to meet with the armorer and her ever growing group of apprentices, shin watching the armorer with awe as she worked with the molten beskar into whatever pieces she and her group are working on
shin was confused when the armorer asks her to strip off her pauldrons to melt it along with beskar, and was certainly surprised when the armorer presents a pair of new pauldrons for shin; made from an alloy of her old pauldrons mixed with beskar
sabine grins proudly, giddy and excited as shin puts on the new armour pieces because shin looks wonderful with the new beskar pauldrons; the silver-ish metal glimmer brighter than her old ones
more and more of the mandalorians began to teach her their skills as they stay in mandalore for a few weeks, and sabine couldn't be prouder to watch shin adopt mandalorian fighting styles, weapon skills, and even the culture
shin especially LOVES sitting at the great forge to watch and listen to the armorer teaching her apprentices; she had always been one to enjoy history and deep-rooted culture, and mandalorian culture is fascinating to shin
it makes her feel more connected to sabine
the armorer at some point considers shin her unofficial apprentice, from how frequent shin visits her at the great forge, and the more shin visited the armorer, the more complete her armour set grew
sabine would be the one to paint shin's beskar pieces, pouring her thoughts and focus into her choice of colours that would best suit shin's personality and history
bo-katan teases sabine for being so obviously enamoured by shin whenever she catches sabine flushing and stuttering around beskar-wearing shin (which is most of the time since shin loves wearing the beskar set)
when ahsoka finally came to pick them up for an upcoming mission, bo-katan and the armorer greeted her and gifted her a pair of new vambraces, which initially confused ahsoka; only understanding when bo-katan explains that sabine was the one who commissioned them for ahsoka, and the jedi master accepted the gift gratefully

You know Hera and Kanan made up pointless supply runs just to get the kids — Chopper, Zeb, Sabine, and Ezra — off the Ghost for a few hours so Mom and Dad could have some alone time.

there's no way Omega didn't eventually spend some time with the ghost crew and their assorted family friends during the rebellion, partly bc the second her and Hera found out each other was fighting they would've burned down the galaxy for some gal pal hours and partly bc the second Rex and Omega found out each other was fighting they would kill to catch up with each other's lives

So where's my series of Ahsoka, Hera, and Omega running around being nuisances to rebellion leadership and also one of the most effective teams the rebellion has ever seen?
Bonus points if Leia shows up.

Sleep headcanons on the Spectres + important additions
Ezra is the type of person who will end up splayed all over the bed no matter how large it is. He just moves in his sleep; possibly because of the weird Jedi dreams he tends to have. He sleeps pretty deeply; sometimes he’ll shoot up and say something and you’ll think he’s awake, but he’ll fall back asleep right after and doesn’t remember it the next day.
Zeb is a very deep sleeper, which comes in handy considering Ezra’s tossing and turning in the top bunk. He sleeps on his back, or on his side when he’s holding another person (Kallus). Between him and Kallus he is the big spoon, and when they sleep embracing it’s usually him lying on his back with Kallus half on top of him. They’re physically incapable of staying apart during the night, always ending up tightly wound around each other.
Hera usually sleeps on her stomach to alleviate pressure on her lekku (this becomes a bit of a problem when she becomes pregnant with Jacen; it takes her some time to adjust to sleeping on her side on her own). When Kanan is not with her, she likes having Chopper recharge in the same room, always feeling more at ease with him around. After Kanan’s death, Zeb got her a body pillow that he and Sabine crudely (in his case) decorated with felted Mandalorian armour, purple stripes and an orange top. It’s become a dear bedtime friend for her, offering her the comfort of her family.
Kanan gets some rest from meditating, but at night he’ll only truly be at peace once he’s sneaked out of his room to find Hera. They alternate spooning positions, and while he’ll never admit it to anyone, he loves being her little spoon. He sleeps quite lightly, and often has nightmares about Order 66. It always soothes him to wake up to Hera sleeping peacefully next to him.
Sabine sleeps either on her side or on her stomach. She’s not a fan of cuddling through the night, preferring to have her own space and own blanket and everything. While she generally sleeps well, she often wakes up to have to go to the bathroom or drink some water. Not rarely, she’ll be struck with inspiration and ends up working on a painting instead of going back to bed until Kanan comms her to keep it the fuck down, people are trying to sleep here.
Chopper usually goes into standby mode when he recharges to make it go faster, though he prefers to stay fully active. Hera doesn’t allow him to stay with her when Kanan is there too (she knows he isn’t above taking compromising pictures and blackmailing them with them), but if she’s alone she’ll let him in. Chopper likes spending the night with her; she’s his favourite organic.
Rex sleeps badly, always has. While the inhibitor-chip induced nightmares have faded, his PTSD means that he is still plagued by others, often mashing his worst memories together, like losing and finding Echo, losing Fives, Order 66, and Umbara. His fellow clones Gregor and Wolffe and later his Rebellion friend Kallus understand this feeling and can pull him out of it, but the only one who can truly put his mind at ease is Ahsoka.
Ahsoka sleeps on her stomach or occasionally her side to spare her lekku somewhat. Having a lot of experience with meditation, she tends to sleep more peacefully than people expect of her. She sleeps best with Rex at her side; they don’t even necessarily need to embrace, just lying next to each other in the same bed already calms her.
Kallus sleeps curled into himself. He tells people who question it that it’s to efficiently preserve heat, but in reality he does it because it makes him feel slightly safer. He sleeps very restlessly, tossing and mumbling and being plagued by night terrors (all of which intensify after he switches sides) as a result of heavy PTSD, and unless he is in the depth of a nightmare he is always alert, woken by the softest sounds. Between him and Zeb he is the little spoon, and he likes that, likes how Zeb literally has his back.

do any of you remember Chopper from the clone wars, season 1 ep 16 ?
yeah i've been thinking about him alot. and i have a headcanon that might make some people upset, but i really think it's cute.
so hear me out, we know Howzer is the captain of a battalion / squad on Ryloth. what if Chopper, after Slick (his original squad leader) was arrested / decommed for spilling info, what if his squad was transferred to Howzer's team ? and theoretically if that happened, Chopper and his squad would have met the Syndulla family.
personally, i think it would be really cute if Hera named Chopper (c1-10p) after the clone who helped liberate Ryloth ? maybe Chopper died defending Ryloth, or one of the Syndulla family members and Hera remembered it and named her droid after him ?
just-food for thought :')

summary: to boost morale, hera lets her crew pick out a treat when they make supply runs. as a former streetrat, ezra's used to going without food, and rather than pick up another box of crackers he won't eat, ezra decides on a much better plan for his treats. word count: 1.4k a/n: two of the best parts of christmas are giving gifts and eating cookies, so i decided to polish up this discord message i sent to @laughingphoenixleader and turn it into a fic to keep us in the holiday spirit this december! shoutout to the hilarious and encouraging @kanerallels for betaing! taglist: @laughingphoenixleader @accidental-spice @kanerallels @piraterefrigerator @jedi-nurse @dootchster @lucasbridger @redroverrider @light-umbra @commander-tech @jedimandalorian {if you’d like to be added to or removed from my Sabezra taglist, let me know!}
also on ao3!
The Molasses Mission
Captain Syndulla recognizes that her crew isn't just soldiers or rebels or heroes. They're survivors. They're kids who had to grow up so fast, they never got the chance to be kids— and the youngest of them were kids even still.
So she tries to find ways to let them have fun while still sticking it to the Empire, and one of them is to boost morale by letting them get treats. They don't get them very often, but sometimes, after a big mission, the ones that are hardest to complete but come with the most payoff, she lets them each pick one snack on the next supply run, a snack to be their own personal snack, one they don't have to share with anyone.
🍪•🍪•🍪
Ezra Bridger grew up on the streets, and when you grow up on the streets, you don't refuse an offer for food— free food, all yours, something you wouldn't normally get yourself— so naturally Ezra's initially very excited when asked if he'd like a special treat on this week's supply run.
The problem he runs into is when you grow up on the streets, and suddenly you find yourself with a crew that may as well be family, and as such cares about your health and general wellbeing, they're insistent on things like "eating at least two meals a day, if not three" and that's two more meals, if not three, than you were ever guaranteed on the streets. As such, Ezra's not really all that hungry these days.
So, the first few times this happens, he's ecstatic over his own personal snack, but pretty soon he realizes he's without the time to eat them, or he'll save them for a "special occasion" that just never comes, or he's just not even hungry, and he starts to feel bad that he's not eating them.
That's when he gets an idea.
🍪•🍪•🍪
Chopper doesn't like doing supply runs as is, but he especially doesn't like when Hera sends him with Ezra. The kid's constantly asking him what's on the list, he stops to chit-chat with all the merchants, and his haggling skills are not as great as he thinks. This would be so much faster if Hera would send him by himself— but, of course, the way this galaxy is run, an astromech can't make a supply run themselves, and once again he's forced to rely on these stupid organics.
He protests when Ezra grabs a second box of Molasses Cookies. Today's supply run includes treats, but Sabine is the only member of the crew who eats them.
"One of the boxes is for me," Ezra explains, but Chopper protests. His memory banks aren't that erratic, and he distinctly remembers Ezra's vocal dislike of the cookies that "ought to be sweet instead of tasting like dirt" and "are too dry" and "should come with a warning label before being jam-packed with that many nuts."
But, Ezra insists that that's his treat for the week, and frankly, Chopper couldn't care less. It was one less thing to have to track down here, and maybe Ezra's tastes have just changed.
Organics could be weird like that.
🍪•🍪•🍪
Sabine had always been very protective of personal property. She didn't want anyone touching her weapons, her paints, or her food.
 Especially her food.
Especially her molasses cookies. Everyone on The Ghost knew to stay more than a parsec away from her molasses cookies.
Even still, she counted them every time she grabbed one out of the pack. If someone had taken one, it'd be a nice chance to let out the pent-up anger she had at the mere thought of someone eating her cookies.
Which is why it was weird that, over the last week, every time she'd counted, she'd had exactly seven cookies left, despite eating one each time. At first, she thought she just miscounted, but soon she realized that, no, her cookies were somehow never running empty.
She didn't ask questions— don't look a gift strill in the mouth, right?— even after she opened the box one day and found eight cookies. What could she possibly ask, anyways? "Who's been giving me more cookies?" Like some kind of crazy person? There was a war going on, she had more important things to worry about than how something good was happening to her for a change.
🍪•🍪•🍪
It may as well just be a regular part of his Jedi practice now. Always staying on the alert for when Sabine was eating one of her cookies. Training himself to wake up in the middle of the night. Sneaking out of his room and into the galley with a cookie from his secret stash. Placing the cookie and getting back to his room. And the most important step, watching Sabine's reaction the next time she went for a cookie and found the same amount left.
But what did not feel like a regular part of his training was what happened this time: finishing the job, turning around, and seeing Sabine sitting at the table, watching him.
"SABINE!?" Ezra exclaimed, backing up against the counter behind him by instinct, then remembering the stealth part of these missions and lowering his tone, "it's not what it looks like! I mean maybe it is what it looks like, if it looks like what it is, but, uh... what are you doing, anyway? Do you normally wait up in the galley to scare unsuspecting spectres? Huh, that was fun to say."
"Let's just say my curiosity got the better of me." Sabine stood up and walked over to him, "After all, what is it they say back on Lothal? 'Curiosity catches the Loth Cat?' And it looks like," she pointed an accusatory finger at Ezra, poking him in the chest as she stepped forward, "that's exactly what I just caught."
"Uh," Ezra said, and even though he thought Sabine might be a little upset, he also noticed how lovely she looked in the low lighting of the galley, which actually made him all the more nervous, "technically, I think the phrase is curiosity killed the Loth Cat. You're not, uh, planning to...."
"Of course not," Sabine said, and there was a bit of a laugh in her tone, "I just wanted to know."
"Well," Ezra shrugged, "now you know."
"No," Sabine said, "I know who, not why. What's your angle?"
 "Angle?" Ezra asked.
"Was this an attempt to bribe me or something?" Sabine asked.
"If I wanted to bribe you," Ezra asked, "don't you think I would've let you know it was me?"
Sabine nodded. "Not even you are that stupid."
"Right," Ezra said, "I just. I'm still trying to finish my second box of Loth-Crackers, so on the last supply run, I grabbed a box of cookies instead, and gave myself this secret mission to sneak them in here— Jedi practice, that's all."
 "That's all?"
"Yeah," Ezra's feet shuffled, "That, and I noticed how happy you always are over something as small as cookies, and I, I don't know. It's the only time you smile unless something's blowing up, and I, I don't know…."
As he'd been talking, Sabine had turned and stood next to him, leaning against the same countertop. He turned to look at her, and noticed a bittersweet expression, and thought it might be wise to stop talking and start listening. After a moment, his listening finally paid off, and Sabine spoke up.
 "Uj'alayi."
 "What?"
"Uj'alayi," she crossed her arms, though not gruffly, "one of my favorite cakes. When I was little, my dad would make it for us for special occasions. I haven't had it since before...."
Sabine shook her head, and Ezra nodded for her to continue.
"It's a secret Mandalorian recipe," she explained, "those molasses cookies don't hold a candle to it, but it's the closest you can get when you're... when you don't know the recipe. Taking a bite of one is like...." she smiled a little and shook her head again.
Sabine had never said this much to him in one conversation, but Ezra didn't want her to stop. He wanted to keep hearing more about her, getting to know her more, but realized she'd closed herself off again, and respected that.
"That's," Ezra shrugged, "thank you for sharing."
 "Thank you," Sabine said.
Much to Ezra's surprise, she wrapped an arm around him in a hug, so quick it was done and over before Ezra even realized it's happened, though he could still feel its lingering warmth, even as she said goodnight and left the galley.
Ezra watched the smile on her face as long as he could as she left, then smiled to himself in return as he tucked her box of cookies back where they belonged in the pantry and whispered, "best mission ever."

After the first ep of Ahsoka, I wondered what the star wars canonical version of rock music would be and if it is it more cursed than jizz?
I present to you: Rack.
Not more cursed but definitely more stupid
