Heyya! Saw this blog and thought it looked fun so may I request a cat? đâš
91 - Uncommon! You totally may! And your first roll is lucky too, uncommon! Nice! I don't even know what to classify this uncommon as. Moving patterns? Somewhat sentient tattoos?
Willowmoth (she/her) is a cream spotted tabby molly with dark green eyes. Her fur is nearly white, with only a hint of yellow-orange to give it a sandy appearance. Darker spots, apricot orange, fleck and speckle her flanks; the largest and densest patches on her left hip, her front right leg, the back of her neck, and the right side of her face, including a large patch covering her ear and eye. Her eyes are sage green, with lighter rings around the iris. White speckles her stomach, her hind left paw, her chin, and her tail-tip. Willowmoth is a small but lithe molly, with thin legs, a long tail, and a narrow face.
What might be most notable about her, however, are the moths on her pelt. She has three of them, one black, the other two a dusky brown. They aren't real, but patterns on her pelt that can move around her body, flap their wings, and react to touch. The black one typically sits on her left cheek, just below her eye. The brown pair often move together and rest close to each other, crawling or "fluttering" around her fur in languid patterns.
A bold molly, Willowmoth isn't one to sit by and watch when there's action and excitement to be had. She's often in the middle of arguments and is very opinionated. She can be mercurial, her opinions and emotions shifting quickly, but her loyalties are firm and unwavering: once she's devoted herself to a cat or an idea, she's sticking with it no matter what. For a cat so active, it can be disconcerting to learn that Willowmoth spends her free time cleaning. She loves bringing order to chaos, sorting anything that can be sorted and fixing anything she can fix. The attention to detail and keeping her paws busy at the same time draws her to the Clan's camp chores, and there's no better cat to keep things tidy than Willowmoth.

The final Super Editions Minor Characters list! Starting off with Graystripe's Vow, now under the new name - Graystripe's Clan.
Minor Characters under the cut
Unknown number of Bloodclan leaders after Scourge - 3 leaders. The first after Scourge was Screech, the silver tabby Bloodclan molly Onewhisker was chasing off, unfortunately she was hit by a car. The second was Oil, until she was taken in by humans, now living as a spicy housecat, but loved and safe. The third was short lived, Jaggedtooth. Claw challenged Jaggedtooth, and the wounds from the fight killed him.
Skinny yellow Bloodclan tom - Pirate, he has a stubby tail, and a red collar.
Gray tabby Bloodclan tom Graystripe knocks unconscious? - Snare, I like the thought that his ears are really ripped up.
Ginger Bloodclan molly - Chive, a very tough girl I like to think is the sister of Jaggedtooth and Ginger. She is covered in scars.
Ginger Bloodclan molly - I'll be honest. I'm a sucker for her wiki image. She is a spotted dark ginger molly with long fur. Her name is Fawn, and she is Fury's sister.
Bloodclan tom with a patchy pelt - Ripper, I like the think he is a brown and white tabby.
Black and white Bloodclan tom with a torn ear and a collar studded with teeth - Talon, he has a black collar.
Three Bloodclan cats, but the descriptions are not clear. One chases Brambleclaw and Brambleclaw flees (lmao) - The one chasing Brambleclaw away is Fawn, Fury's sister. The patchy furred one is Rooster's son, Raven, pure black.
Tabby and white molly that does not know what Mothermouth is - Her name is Diamond, she is noted to have a sparkly collar and reminds Graystripe of how Lightflower (Princess) used to be.
Scraps' Father Figure - Scrappy! He died in the Battle of Bloodclan. Scraps changed his name when he transitioned to male to be more like him, before Scrappy died.
Gremlin's ex, Fang's Father - Graystripe. In an attempt to strengthen connections, Graystripe welcomed Gremlin into his and Silverstream's relationship, attempting to Honour Sire kits, but plans fell apart before Fang was born.
Fang's siblings, Gremlin's other kits - The first is a tortoiseshell molly with white patches named Leah, she is still in her home, happy and carefree. Her original name was Ember. The other was another molly, a small gray molly with a darker gray stripe down her back, the spitting image of her father, her name is Orchid, and she left her home to become a loner. She'll reappear during the Warriorclan Super Edition.
Black and white kittypet tom - Tuxy. You can imagine what he looks like.
Black and white molly trapped in the Twoleg den - Flurry, she joins Warriorclan and becomes Flurrynose.
Molly with 3 kittens - Her name is Storm! She becomes Stormjump, I think she is large, and pure black with big green eyes.
Her 3 babies - The first is Moss, or Mosskit. A pure black tom with green eyes, just like mom! The second is Apple, or Applekit, a brown tabby tom with green eyes. The third and final is a deaf, pure white molly with blue eyes, named Cloud, or Cloudkit.
The old tabby molly who gives herself up to the Twolegs - Her name is Maisie. She was reunited with her old family through her microchip, who had all but given up hope of seeing her again.
Small tabby and white molly, warrior of Warriorclan - Amberwhisker! She is a light ginger colour with a white underside and white front legs, she has orange eyes.
Sandy coloured tom from Warriorclan - Splashclaw, because he loves water! He also has blue eyes.
Dark tabby kittypet with a light muzzle and light paws - A dark brown tabby by the name of Pinky. She was named by a little kid. She has a pink collar to match.
Patch furred kittypet - Named Patches. Named by the same kid, but slightly older. Now a white tom with ginger patches! He had a yellow collar.
Tabby kittypet with white paws - Alfred, not named by a child, he is a gray tabby, the oldest and most distinguished in the group. Dark blue collar for this guy.
Pure white kittypet - Missy, possibly named by the same kid who named the others, she is Alfred's baby. A small molly with a purple collar, she joins Warriorclan during their super edition under the new name: Happyfur.
Marigold - Note: This unknown being isn't even given a SPECIES. But in WCR, Marigold was Petunia's mate. Unfortunately, while they were in a shelter together, Marigold's liver began to fail, and the shelter was not able to get on top of things, she was euthanized. She and Gremlin give Monkeystar 2 lives.

Littleleaf aka Princess! She looks a lot like Leafpool, except sheâs long furred, and Leafpool was named after her!Â
In RoC Fire tells her about the well respected warrior Downnose, who is deaf just like Princessâ white furred blue eyed son Cloud. Little wants to give her son the chance at a life like that, and she wants to live with her brother, so she chooses to join Thunder Order as a nursery queen! Bluestar does not want to deny a queen and a kit, especially if they are Fireâs kin, so she allows them to stay. Princess is given the name Littleleaf, for her small size and for her pelt which looks like a autumn leaf.Â
She falls in love with Dustpelt soon after joining the Order, and she has a litter with him as she finds she loves being a mother! This litter is Snow(kit) who gains the name Snowfoot as a warrior, and Mistle(kit) who gains the name Mistletoe as a warrior! Little and Dust also have a second litter together and their kits are Shrew(paw) and Spiderleg!Â
I was planning on having Icewing and Foxheart be Fire and Shrike (longtail)âs kits, but I think I will give them to Littleleaf and Dust, since Little seems like the kind of cat who loves being a mom, and would want to have another litter, especially since sheâs a perma-queen. Â
[Image ID: A digital drawing of Littleleaf aka. Princess from Warrior Cats. She is sitting with her left side showing, she is smiling and her tail curves up along her hind leg and side. She is a small, chubby, round, long furred molly with green eyes. She is mostly white with brown and bright orange tabby calico patches covering her back and upper part of her face. She is wearing a purple flower and green leaf next to her left ear, and her nose and inner ears are light pink./End ID]

SunflowerClanâs leader, the lovely Lilystar!
- Design mildly inspired by 1920s flappers! Most notable in the hair-fluff and her feather-boa mane.
- Iâm gonna roll a sexuality/gender generator for each character as they come out, and Lilystar is a dynamasexual cis female who uses she/they pronouns!
- I imagine sheâs very young for a leader, maybe having only been a full warrior for a handful of seasons before being made deputy, and then immediately having leadership thrust upon her. Probably even still training the apprentice given to her to qualify for deputyship! All due to the medicine cat giving a (false?) sign for her reignâŠ
- Very much guided by her heart, which causes her to make some pretty reckless decisions. Sheâs passionate, bold, and unafraid to be blunt when it comes to speaking her mind. Sheâs also very confident and self-assured, oftentimes making said reckless decisions by her own volition and without consulting anyone else - much to the frustration of her medicine cat and the amusement of her deputy.
- Her warrior name was Lilythroat!
- Born into Bird-Of-Paradise-Clan.
[Image ID: Two images- The upper image is of a simple white box with the black text of âSUNFLOWERCLAN - The Warmhearted and Boldâ written across it. The lower image is an digital drawing set against a translucent background, of a tall, skinny, somewhat fluffy, mostly cream-white cat with tall, tufted ears, striking dark copper eyes, and especially fluffy fur around her mane, face, paws, and tail; she has cream-orange and light blue-gray patches across her face, back, and along her tail, all of which are tabby-striped. There is a distinctive star-shaped mark at her shoulder, and a very small heart-shaped mark at the left side of her muzzle. Across her hind legs is the stylized artist signature of âspottyissleepwalkingâ written in faded lavender. Above her is a white box with the black text of âLILYSTAR - a mostly white, lilac and cream ticked tabby she-cat, with short fur, and copper eyesâ. /. End ID.]

Fawnpawâs Way
words: 4,080
Fawnpaw is an apprentice of Autumnclan - known for its clever disposition and keen ability to hunt in the undergrowth of their dense forests. Unlike her littermates, however, her apprenticeship is to her mother, and her den has always been the nursery. Having only learned to walk at 5 moons, there were grim expectations from her clanâs medicine cat; but now at 8 moons, Fawnpaw is at a pivotal moment of self-discovery as she navigates her unique role within Autumnclan.Â

                              ***
                             ch.1
Fawnpaw nuzzled into her motherâs flank, letting the soft tortoiseshell fur found there lull her to rest while she was groomed. This was what she did every day, as she continued to live in the nursery. She was too weak to handle normal apprentice duties, but her heart was happy surrounded by marble. The moss, leaves and feathers made it comfortable under her paws, and it was hard to imagine making her home anywhere other than the place in which she was born.
Feeling her motherâs tongue begin to rasp behind her ears, a purr erupted from the tiny brown and white she-cat. Mudpetal was the kindest and most beautiful queen in all of Autumnclan, and the apprentice couldnât imagine a better mother or mentor. It wasnât a popular or conventional decision for the young she-cat to stay in the nursery for her apprenticeship, but it didnât bother her. In the last moon alone, she had seen the entire underground cave that sprawled beyond the nursery, protecting it like a sacred pearl. Mudpetal had also taught her the Warrior Code, how to care for the clanâs elders and kits - Fawnpaw certainly felt like an apprentice! Her mind whirled with the different responsibilities of being a clan cat, and when her siblings would return to camp with their jaws clamped around freshkill, Fawnpaw found herself even more glad to be exempt from hunting. It would be difficult to compete with Volepaw or Runningpaw.
Her brothers, as well as her sister, Brindlepaw, had been made apprentices two moons before her. They were a strong trio, constantly venturing out from the nursery together. At the time, Fawnkit and Mottlekit had been fighting for the strength to wake up each day. The tiny she-cat smiled, thinking of how much she owed to her youngest sister. Despite her ailments and disabilities, and how different her mind behaved to other cats in the clan, the tortoiseshell had never stopped battering her sister with her paws to play, purring at any cat who came by. It didnât matter to her, even now as an apprentice surrounded by stronger, bigger, healthier young cats, Mottlepaw faced every day with bright eyes.
âYou seem especially happy today,â Mudpetal mewed, finishing her grooming with a purr of her own. âWhatâs on your mind, Fawnpaw?â
Gazing up at her mother for a moment, Fawnpaw felt like she couldnât speak through her purring.
âIâm grateful, thatâs all. I wonder if Iâll get to attend a gathering soon with everyone else.â
Her mother was thoughtful, and finally gave her a last lick on the head, smoothing a set of stripes into place in her tabby fur.
âIâm sure Applestar will let you go soon. The Gathering-Place isnât too far from our camp.â But her voice held a few notes of doubt that were difficult for Fawnpaw to ignore. She peered up, yellow eyes prying, until her mother had to avert her olive gaze from her daughter. âWeâre facing some difficult times. Our leader has many worries.â
âDo I worry her? For being weak?â
âYou are not weak,â Her mother said sternly, âBeing able to run and hunt arenât the only ways to be strong. Youâre learning how to care for your clan in a different way, thatâs all.â
It was as she always told her, and Fawnpaw liked the conviction with which her mother could comfort her. She was loved. That was definitely true. There would be plenty of time to prove herself to Applestar and the rest of Autumnclan.
A loud mewl filtered into their den. Fawnpawâs ears pricked to catch which kit was fussing. A pause. Pinekit.
She looked to her mother for approval, who gave her a nod and a gentle nudge with her muzzle. The apprentice scrambled from her nest on skinny, wobbly legs. Shaking soft bits of moss and fern from her pelt, Fawnpaw scurried out of her motherâs section of the nursery, and out towards the rest of the cave. Following the noise, she finally popped her head through the entrance.
Marigoldtail was trying to lick her son into feeling calm, but Pinekit just wouldnât settle. Looking up, the calico she-catâs eyes brightened at the sight of her sisterâs kit. Beckoning her over, Fawnpaw padded up and nuzzled the young tom. His sister, Rosekit, was trying to burrow herself into their motherâs belly, away from the squawks and cries of her littermate. She had even stuffed her tiny white paws over her ears.
âIâm glad youâre here,â Marigoldtail murmured, looking apologetic. âHeâs had trouble sleeping since he came back to the nursery. And the herbs my sister gives him donât exactly make the job any easier.â
Fawnpaw nodded in understanding. The poor little kit had had problems with his breathing since he was born close to three moons prior. She nosed at his dark brown tabby fur, stopping at the white patch on his chest. Letting her purr overpower the gentle rattling of his breath, Fawnpaw felt Pinekit begin to knead into her. His cries were soon raspy purrs. She licked away a few stray pieces of yellow coltsfoot that had stuck to his white leg fur like little golden bugs.
The queen was now purring heavily too, blinking with gratitude at the young apprentice. Once he was thoroughly asleep, she tucked Pinekit gently back into his motherâs belly, where he curled up against his sister. Fawnpawâs heart felt full at the sight of the tiny bundles of orange and brown fur, their white paws and tails intertwined. She loved her kin, and was so happy she got to take care of them. It would be a long time until they were apprentices, but maybe they could train together someday! The kits were so small, surely she would be able to keep up with them far better than her rambunctious littermates.
âYou have a real skill, Fawnpaw,â said Marigoldtail, her green eyes shining with affection and pride. With her tail straight up and twitching happily, Fawnpaw turned and left the den. She stopped at the entrance of her motherâs den, where the small she-cat was laying on her side with her head resting neatly on her paws.
âIâm going to go look for Mottlepaw,â She meowed.
âGood, the sun must feel wonderful today. When you see her, you should remind her to see Mapleflower for her herbs.â Fawnpaw dipped her head at her motherâs request. Her sister wouldnât love them; hopefully it wouldnât be a large ordeal to get her sister to the medicine catâs den.
âCome on, Mottlekit! Theyâre good for you!â Dappleheart mewed wearily, trying not to be discouraged by the kitâs loud protests. Rather than saying no, the she-kit simply threw herself on the ground, yowling and screeching. Mapleflowerâs tail lashed nearby, orange and white fur whipping in and out of her place in the shadows. The golden she-catâs ears flattened to her head, struggling with failing to please both her patient and her mentor.
âSheâll learnâŠâ She started, only to be silenced by Mapleflowerâs glare. âI know that theyâre not very yummy ⊠â
âNo! No! No!â Came the eventual words from Mottlekit, but her words were slurred and off-center. The cleft in her lip, curled up into her nose like an angry vine, made her look even more hysterical and upset when her jaw opened to yell.
Disheartened, the medicine cat apprentice guided the kit back to her nest. She would never give up on Mottlekit, no matter how much work it took to get the stubborn little kit to understand her.
Fawnpaw owed just as much to the medicine cats as Mottlepaw. She spent a lot of time musing on the moons spent helping the two she-kits grow into cats healthy and strong enough to become apprentices. And once they were âpaws, Applestar had found the perfect places for them. Fawnpaw knew that her leader was proud of her progress so far, even if it didnât mean an extra body on one of her patrols. Why would Autumnclan have elders if every cat had to be strong and tough? Why would apprentices have to wait six moons to start their training, only after their bodies had begun to become strong and nimble? It made sense to her.
Letting her paws carry her down the slope, Fawnpaw felt the smooth marble begin to fade into sturdy, gray stone. The vines and aspen leaves marked the entrance of the nursery, but Fawnpaw could tell it by touch alone. She passed it, looking around for any sign of her sister. The cave portion of the camp was quiet, and so she decided to venture up above ground. Maybe one of her littermates would be enjoying some of the greenleaf sunshine that Mudpetal had mentioned. Following subtle divots in the stone from generations of paws, Fawnpaw made her way towards the caveâs main opening. It was steep, and tiny pebbles cascaded down with every step up towards the pouring light that led into the center of camp.Â
Padding up and into the gorge, Fawnpawâs large ears twitched back and forth. Different scents hit her nose, and she felt a little startled by the diversity of them. Peering around the bend of red rock, Fawnpaw noticed Leopardspots and Duskstripe, her mate, sharing tongues under an overhang. The shade there muted the gold and gray shades of their pelts, and the pair seemed content to rest in the cool shadows. Fawnpaw looked in awe at the large she-cat, easily as tall as a fox, but with a heart a hundred times more gentle. She had heard many stories of Leopardspotsâ bravery, bringing her kits to Autumnclan in order to protect them from the wrath of her kind. One of those kits had then gone on to save her life.
She could also scent Applestar and Hazelheart, their familiar tang muddled with something totally unfamiliar. The imprint of many hushed voices drifted down from the leaderâs den, but Fawnpaw couldnât make out anything that was said. Besides, she wasnât interested in eavesdropping on the leader and her deputyâs affairs.
With a polite nod to the resting warriors, Fawnpaw continued on her way.Â
Even as she passed under the dappled light of the forest, peering insistently through brambles and bushes, Fawnpaw could feel that the entire hollow was warm. Her pawsteps were silent as shade consumed her once more. Where the hollow met the earth, thick layers of soil and red stone kept the elderâs den pleasantly cool in greenleaf, but plenty warm during leafbare. Fawnpawâs eyes followed the vine and honeysuckle trail that she had woven into place at the denâs entrance. The sight of it made her heart surge with pride. Mudpetal had taught her the importance of keeping the elderâs den clean and full of stimulation. It was one of her favorite of the apprentice tasks, though few aside from her found the time to do such a thing in addition to their training.
Flicking her ears against the tickles of the vines, Fawnpaw caught a scent that she knew too well, and her tail quivered in excitement. Following voices and scents once more through the dark den, she was soon met with a busy scene before her. Mottlepaw was there with Plumpaw, an older apprentice who had once been their denmate in the nursery. Badgertooth and Briarfall, the youngest elders, were resting with the young black tom, who was gently massaging Briarfallâs flank. Fawnpaw remembered that his mother, Vixenbreeze, was the pairâs only kit.
âAh, Fawnpaw!â Came a rattling mew from Snowdrop. The she-cat was tiny in her old age, but her white pelt still glowed against the dark stone and moss nest she spent most of her time in. Her brother, Marblecoat, grunted beside her.
âTwo apprentices is more than enough,â He muttered.
âFawnpaw!â Mottlepaw cried out in excitement, nearly tripping over one of Badgertoothâs large paws to reach her sister. He lifted it with a flick of his tail tip, and the tortoiseshell stumbled over to Fawnpaw. âFawnpaw!â
Blinking with affection at her sister, Fawnpaw nuzzled her head with her muzzle. Mottlepaw practically slammed her head against the young tabbyâs pelt, causing her to fumble on her paws. Loudly purring, Mottlepaw looked up at her with love in her asymmetric gaze. Her twisted nose let out happy little huffs.
âHi Mottlepaw, hi everyone,â Fawnpaw meowed, guiding her sister to sit with Plumpaw once more. She gave him a friendly wave of her tail.
âNice to see you, Fawnpaw. We were just helping Briarfall with her joints,â Came Plumpawâs voice, as sweet as his namesake. He was a good denmate to her sister now too, and Fawnpaw was glad for it. Plumpaw, or his sister, Mistypaw, were always thinking up games to play with the younger kits. Even when Mudpetalâs strongest had taken to venturing out at any opportunity, there was always the black tom there to play mossball, or give a quick nuzzle during a fit, in Mottlepawâs case. Sometimes, when she was just Fawnkit, unable to stand or walk, Plumkit would just sit with her and talk. Without him and Mudpetal, Fawnpaw wondered if she would have even known what things existed to be talked about.
âIf theyâre still busy, youâll have to get this tick, itâs making my shoulder ache,â Snowdrop beckoned Fawnpaw over, drawing her from her thoughts. She was quick to begin inspecting the elderâs white pelt, and even faster to find the fat, black tick nesting there.Â
âThereâs some mouse bile over in the corner, but donât go dragging it through here. The pests Badgertooth brings in on his shaggy pelt give me enough trouble as it is,â Snowdrop shared a disgruntled look with Marblecoat, whose black ears seemed to always lay flat in hostility. Â
âItâs a reminder of the forest. You should be glad you get the chance to experience it at your age, Snowdrop,â Badgertooth snorted.
âShe has a point, you know,â Came Briarfallâs amused mew.
âI still like to hunt. I donât intend on stopping.â The large tom said with a soft sigh of assurance. His mate laughed low in her throat, leaning on him until half of her cream-colored fur had become one with his long, black pelt. Snowdrop gave only a sigh in response at her endearingly raucous denmates. Fawnpaw could barely stifle her purr at the cats around her as she sat to work with the soaked moss, dabbing the mouse bile lightly onto some of the ticks. It required a delicate touch, so as not to spill the foul liquid on any catâs fur. She had never been able to smell too well, so it didnât bother her as much as it seemed to bother the other apprentices. Volepaw practically gagged every time he came to and from Mapleflowerâs den with the moss clamped desperately to the longest piece of bark he could find.
It was funny to Fawnpaw how such a brave and capable young apprentice could be squeamish about something so small. One day, heâd have to let the young cats remove the ticks from his fur. Maybe at that point theyâd share a den again, with all of their littermates together, and they could joke about things like that.
âI think Iâve got it,â Fawnpaw meowed after a short time, giving Snowdropâs fur a last inspection. The she-cat waved her away with her once sleek tail.
âThorough as always, Fawnpaw,â The elder said, seemingly in approval, before casting a glance at the tortoiseshell apprentice sitting a few tail lengths away. Mottlepaw was oblivious, playing with a flower from the den wall in place of checking the elders, or easing their aches. Now, Plumpaw was working alone. âYouâll be a warrior soon, Plumpaw; you shouldnât spend all your time doing apprentice duties when we have so many.â She spoke now to the dark tom, who met her pale gaze with his own. He clearly picked up on the implication of her words, as did Fawnpaw, who began to bristle slightly.
But Plumpaw answered in a level tone, âItâs important to me. I hope youâre not too tired of me yet, Snowdrop.â
âHardly,â The she-cat laughed in her throat, rasping as she always did, and her eyes were not entirely unkind or without understanding, âSometimes the only way apprentices learn is when theyâre forced to learn on their own, without someone to watch their flank. Life out there is hard, and only the strongest are able to pull through.â
âYouâre sounding awfully wise today,â Marblecoat commented before any cat had the chance, âWho asked for your speech?â
âAre you disagreeing with me?â Snowdropâs meow was incredulous, and Plumpaw rolled his eyes before turning back to Mottlepaw and the other two elders, his conversation with Snowdrop clearly forgotten in favor of a new quarrel. It was hard to stay mad at the she-cat on account of her short of a time her criticisms tended to last. Like an ember doused by a lake, Fawnpaw had heard Mistypaw joke once about the white elderâs memory.
âI caught a butterfly today...â Mottlepaw started up loudly, her head pushed in between Plumpawâs cheek and one of Briarfallâs dark ears. His green eyes met Fawnpawâs, and he gave a small glance to the mouth of the elderâs cave. Fawnpaw stood up in knowing, her tail neatly brushing the den floor in a small gesture to her sister.
âReally?â She said in her usual quiet tone, âWould you come with me and tell me more?â
Mottlepawâs interest was captured instantly, and she quickly stood and pressed herself to Fawnpawâs flank. She could feel her sister purring intensely.
âOkay! Yes!â The young apprentice was practically swaying on her feet from the breathy purrs rumbling in her throat. It was then that Plumpaw also stood.
âMind if I tag along, Fawnpaw?â
âSure,â She flicked her white-tipped tail, âLetâs all go for a walk. Let me know if you get any more ticks,â Fawnpaw said, dipping her head to Snowdrop and Marblecoat, who were already settling down at the sight of the trio leaving. It made her heart drop with sadness. Was Mottlepaw really such a nuisance the elders? Fawnpaw knew just how important their opinions were as the oldest cats in the clan, and she hoped to Starclan that they would come around to her sister. There was more to Mottlepaw than her boundless energy and stumbling, or how she looked on the outside. Fawnpaw held that fact close to her heart, and she knew it made her more than a little protective of her youngest littermate.
Not much time had passed since she had arrived at the elderâs den, but the air of the cave felt even warmer as the greenleaf breeze brought in with it the sunâs warmth. It was pleasant on her fur. Even clumps of moss that grew through crevices in the cave felt comfortable to Fawnpawâs touch underpaw.Â
âThis weather is amazing,â Plumpaw meowed, voicing her thoughts out loud.
âItâs the best! I hope Starclan makes it greenleaf all the time!â Mottlepaw agreed, and Fawnpaw gave her a friendly nudge.
âThatâs not how it works, silly furball,â Fawnpaw mewed quietly, and her sisterâs everpresent purr intensified once more.
âIâve never been to Starclan, whoâs to sayâŠâ Plumpaw said, with a mischievous glint in his green eyes.
âI donât even know how to get to Starclan!â Mottlepaw responded in dramatic agreement, âI bet they tell the trees not to grow tall enough for us to get up there! Weâd know all their secrets! Secret knowledge!â She rambled on, tromping around Fawnpaw and Plumpaw with a distracted sense of purpose. It was as if she expected a Starclan warrior to come down and prove her wrong if she thought about it long enough.
âMaybe Mapleflower could tell us more.â Fawnpaw suggested, sensing an opportunity which she hoped would be a tactful enough excuse for Mottlepaw to visit the medicine catâs den. She seemed to pause, but nodded slowly.
âYeah, and Dappleheart can make voices for the story!â Mottlepaw said, excitement slowly dawning on her like a reckoning.
As the three apprentices made their way out of the deeper cave and back into the open air of the gorge, alive with the birdsong of greenleaf, they saw a hunting patrol emerging from the top of the gentle slope leading from the forest. Fogbright was leading it, alongside her brother, Fallenwing, his apprentice, Mistypaw. They were also accompanied by Sorrelwing and Brindlepaw, who carried a plump squirrel and a blackbird between the two of them. Fawnpawâs ears pricked at the sight of her strong older sister, and she was about to call out to her before Fogbrightâs gaze narrowed on the apprentices.
âPlumpaw! Where have you been?â Her tail whipped once before she continued, âWhy do I have to keep hunting you down too?â She said, pointedly gesturing at the fresh-kill pile with her tail, where Sorrelwing and Brindlepaw were arranging the patrolâs bounty.
âIâm sorry, Fogbright,â Plumpaw dipped his head in apology, âI lost track of time while I was in the elderâs den. Briarfallâs aches havenât eased since newleaf.â
âThatâs nice, but itâll hardly put freshkill in our bellies,â Fogbright meowed dryly, âI hope youâll be ready for your assessment tomorrow. Mistypaw caught two finches on patrol this morning.â The pale-furred tabby apprentice seemed to shift uncomfortably at the praise directed towards her. Fawnpaw too shifted, but in surprise; she hadnât known just how early Plumpaw would become a warrior! Mistypawâs mentor, Fallenwing, came to stand beside his sister. Fawnpaw thought they looked like a pair of proper littermates, with the only difference being Fallenwingâs darker gray fur, shadowy next to Fogbrightâs light gray pelt.
âPlumpaw is doing fine, Fogbright. His battle moves are sharp, even Yellowbirch couldnât dodge him when we trained the other day.â Fallenwing meowed evenly, and Fogbright seemed taken aback at his words. When Fawnpaw saw the two together, which was quite often, they usually shared a common voice.
Fawnpaw felt her own paws begin to itch with discomfort. Was she just feeling paranoid today? First with Snowdropâs dismissiveness, and now Fogbrightâs irritation at seeing her apprentice helping Mottlepaw with her apprentice tasks. It seemed as if every time she left the nursery, someone was displeased about the two newest apprentices. She tried to ease the feeling by reminding herself of her motherâs words earlier that morning. If Applestar was feeling the stress of some kind of difficulty in the clan that Fawnpaw couldnât see, it was very well possible that some of the mentors were also experiencing a strain. Still, it made her ears hot, and Fawnpaw pressed against her sisterâs warm, dark fur.
âThanks, Fallenwing,â Plumpaw said gratefully, still looking to his mentor apologetically, âI could ask Hazelheart to put me on evening patrol tonight to get sharp.â
âDonât worry about it. I want to see your best tomorrow.â Was all that Fogbright said, simply flicking her tail before turning the other way and descending down the red rock tunnel back to the warriorâs den. Plumpaw cringed in clear guilt for upsetting his mentor, and Mistypaw padded up to give him a sympathetic lick on his shoulder. Her blue eyes were as clear as the sky, offering him comfort without words. Fawnpaw admired their bond; she couldnât imagine growing up with only her mother and her aging kin. She thought they were a beautiful family, but couldnât shake the feeling that without her father, Foxburrow, she would be impossibly sad, or that deep down sheâd feel a hole in her heart. Never had a day gone by without him visiting the nursery, or the medicine catâs den, when life had been truly uncertain. His deep amber gaze never failed to shine with pride at her or Mottlepaw. Fawnpaw would never get tired of hearing the story of her fatherâs coming to Autumnclan, how as a loner, he had been so captivated by Mudpetalâs beauty that he had asked their previous leader, Gingerstar, to take him into the clan. It must be difficult for Vixenbreezeâs kits to have never known what their father was like.
âI guess thereâs no harm if I come with you to see Mapleflower and Dappleheart now,â Plumpaw said at last breaking the awkward silence left by Fogbrightâs sharp words. And seemingly sensing the energy directed at her denmate, Brindlepaw had quietly slipped through the tunnel after Sorrelwing, and the opportunity to talk to her was gone too.

Today I started thinking about what thecorteztwinsâ Alt-Marauders would be like as cats, because thatâs a good use of my time. Imagining the fursonas of comic book characters. And I donât mean characters from the musical, I mean actual house cats. So I typed it up and now you all have to look at it. Breeds are based either on the characterâs appearance or their personality (ex. Shinobi is Siamese because they are very vocal and demand attention, Sebastian as Maine Coon because they are big and furry).
Sebastian:
(This one looked sufficiently grumpy)
A mixed breed, but most prominently Maine Coon â he is big and hairy, with a long, thick coat, brown, grey and black tabby. Indoor-outdoor cat. Â Was born a stray, but spent many years as a factory cat, fed and cared for by employees because he kept the plant free of mice and rats. Â After the plant closed down, he wandered around, at one point siring Shinobi. Â His âownerâ (not that Sebastian could ever be âownedâ by anyone), began leaving out bowls for food for him, and eventually he deigned to venture inside the house. Â After all, it was warm and dry, free from predators, and had lots of soft places to sleep. Â Although he was willing to come inside, he was not willing to stay inside â a very independent cat, Sebastian insists on coming and going as he pleases. He roams outside and will sometimes disappear for two or three days at a time, but always returns. Â Unbeknownst to his owner, he actually has a few different houses that consider him to be âtheirâ cat, as he will show up to eat whatever food they leave out. Â (Why attach himself to just one house when he gets food from several? Â Itâs only logical). Â Heâs not a very playful, vocal or affectionate cat. Â He wonât attack at random, but anyone picking him up, or petting him the wrong way will get bitten or clawed. Â If he is in an extremely mellow, sleepy mood, he may allow his owner to scratch his head and under his chin. Â He likes to believe that he dominates the house when heâs inside, but thatâs actually Haven. Â At most, Sebastian just smacks down St. John and Shinobi when they get too rowdy. Â Madelyne will stand up to him, and he leaves Haven and Claudine alone. Â He has a favorite chair, ornate, expensive, and beautifully upholstered, and will plant himself right in the middle of it when he is inside. Â He is a ruthless and efficient hunter, although he doesnât really need to do it. Â He spends most of his time wandering through the house and neighborhood like a king surveying his territory. Â Outside he mates with any female cat he runs across, inside Haven wonât let him touch Maddie or Claudine, so he just perches on his chair silently judging everyone. Â Â Â Â Â
St. John:Â
Mixed breed, short-haired orange tabby, scrawny with long legs and big ears. Originally a stray, spent some time âworkingâ as a shipâs cat before eventually being adopted. Â Boisterous and energetic, an indoor-outdoor cat that needs lots of activity to be content. Â Shreds curtains, climbs the Christmas tree, knocks things off shelves (accidentally), loudly bounds around the house at 3 AM, jumps up on the TV stand to bat at the screen when someone plays a video game. Â Most likely to be featured in a viral Youtube video missing a jump or crashing into the wall. Â Too loud, clumsy and impatient to be a good hunter, but will proudly bring home âtrophiesâ when he actually manages to catch something. Â He and Shinobi routinely chase each other around the house, play-fight, and sleep curled up together. Â Sometimes clashes with Sebastian, and the two will have to be separated. Â Also clashes with neighborhood cats, and will eventually get locked-in at night to avoid that. Â Not much of a âlap-cat,â and doesnât care to be picked up, but enjoys being petted, and will voluntarily snuggle up to his owner on the couch. Â (Donât touch his belly, though. Â That is a trap). Â Will nip and bat at hands, but is mostly play-biting, and will only bring the claws out if he is really frightened. Â Very friendly and curious, will come right up to strangers, and will follow his owner through the house and poke his nose into whatever they are doing. Â Even the bathroom is not safe, heâll hop right into the shower. Â A very chatty cat, not as demanding as Shinobi, but heâll meow back whenever a human speaks to him, and purrs like a motorboat. Â Likes to sleep in patches of sunlight wherever he finds them. Â
 Madelyne:Â
Mixed breed, a short-haired calico, the smallest of the group. Â Had a comfortable life with a family, but was callously abandoned during a move. Â Went through several bad experiences as a stray, which left her skittish and unfriendly. Like Sebastian, the owner had to lure her in from outside with food, and it took even longer in Madelyneâs case â for several weeks she would bolt at the sight of people. Â Slowly, very slowly, the owner got her to warm up to them, and eventually she began venturing inside the house. Â It took even longer to for her to concede to being petted without lashing out and running away. Â However, once she began to feel safe and regain her sense of trust, she proved to be a very affectionate and loving cat. Â The owner still tries to avoid picking her up (unless absolutely necessary) or startling her, but she will willingly crawl into their lap. Â She dislikes strangers, and will generally hide whenever anyone else is at the house, but may eventually come out if the new person is there for several days. Â She especially likes hanging out in card board boxes or underneath tables, where she can watch everything but still feel secure. Â She also clashed with the other cats when she first arrived, especially St. John and Shinobi, who were too boisterous for her. Â But she quickly realized that they were not going to hurt her (even faster than she did with the human), and she now regularly plays with them. Â As her confidence grows, she can be adventurous as St. John, but not nearly as much of a dumbass. Â She is much more graceful, and manages to run around without crashing into things or knocking things over. Â She enjoys roaming around the house with Claudine, and cuddling up to Haven, and even manages to get along with Sebastian. Â She is the only cat besides Haven that can get away with smacking Sebastian around. She is fierce, but also extremely loving. Â Sometimes at night she will wander around in the dark meowing in a kind of mournful wail, as if she is looking for something that she lost. Â But if the owner calls her name, she will run back to join them. Although originally indoor-outdoor, she ventures outside much less than she used to, and tends to stay close to the house. Â Sheâs found a safe, happy place where she is loved, so why would she want to go anywhere else? Â Â Â Â Â Â
 Shinobi:
His mother was a purebred Siamese, and his looks resemble her the most â long, slender and elegant, with cream and brown coloring. Â Was raised in a rich household, and was given every luxury, but his owners saw their cats as essentially decorations and status symbols, so he wasnât given much affection. Â Eventually given up for adoption because his demands for attention became inconvenient. Â He is the absolute diva of the household, and he is loud. Â Mostly likely to lay across the ownerâs keyboard, book, puzzle, video-game controller, etc. Â When not given sufficient attention, he will deliberately knock things off tables and shelves, jump up on the TV stand and block the view, meow at the top of his lungs. Constantly underfoot, but wails like a banshee if he gets stepped on. Â Indoor cat only, he tried going out through the cat door one hot summer day, and immediately fled back inside, for air conditioning, soft cushions to lie on, and his cat-fountain water dish. Â He doesnât hunt â why bother when food comes so easily? Â He only accepts the best in toys, food and treats. Â Extremely affectionate, he will lay across any available lap, and cuddle up to the owner while sleeping (or lay across their face). He is eager to be petted anywhere, and will only protest if the person doing the petting is too rough or awkward. Â He rarely bites or claws people, he just meows or runs away if upset, usually pausing to look back at the offending party like, âHow could you?â Â He usually hides from strangers initially, letting St. John be the friendly welcoming committee, but once he sees that it is safe, he will come out and flop down at peopleâs feet, expecting them to lavish affection on him. Â Tries to follow St. John around the house at night, but sometimes gets âstuckâ in high places or gets lost in the maze of furniture, and will wail until he is rescued. Â Shamelessly steals food off his ownerâs plate. Â Once nearly drowned getting his head caught in a glass of water. Â Will never sleep on the floor â only couches, beds, cushions, and his luxury cat bed.
Claudine:
Mixed breed, pure white short-hair. Â Indoor-outdoor. Was used in unscrupulous medical experiments, but managed to escape out an open window. Â Much like Madelyne and Sebastian, she had to be lured in with food, and eventually comes to see the ownerâs house as a safe place. She doesnât really lash out the same way Madelyne does, but she doesnât become very affectionate either. Â She will endure petting by the owner, and will simply walk away when she loses patience, rather than biting or scratching (but she will scratch if threatened). Â Very mysterious, she frequently disappears for hours on end, but reappears very quickly when food is served. Â The owner has never been able to find her hiding spots, but it seems like she is never very far away. Â She wanders silently around the house at night, like a ghost or a shaft of moonlight. Â She is a much better hunter than St. John, as she is patient and quiet. Â She only clashes with the other cats if they get too aggressive, but is otherwise indifferent to them. Â She seems to enjoy Haven and Maddieâs presence, and will sometimes walk around with Maddie or sleep curled up next to her. Â She doesnât tolerate strangers at all, and will make herself invisible when anyone else is at the house. Â When feeling comfortable, she likes to sit at the top of the stairs and observe everything happening around her. Â At her most affectionate, she might jump up onto the bed while the owner is sleeping, and curl up at the foot. Â
Haven:
A purebred Ragdoll, she is huge and extremely fluffy, with a brown and white fur pattern. Â Was a pampered show cat for many years, but was given away for adoption after her retirement (after she was no longer useful to her owners, in other words). Â Strictly indoor. Â As with many Ragdolls, her personality is extremely relaxed, affectionate and calm. Although St. John, Shinobi and Madelyne can all be very affectionate, Haven is the most patient. Â She easily puts up with toddlers and small children pulling her tail and lugging her around (generally just going limp in their arms). Â She never bites or scratches â at most she will cry out and run away if someone hurts her. A lap cat, she will lay on her owner for hours, purring contentedly, but also never seems to get jealous or upset when put aside. Â She does not loudly demand attention, she will just quietly snuggle up to the owner or any other person in the house whenever possible. Â She gets along extremely well with all the other cats, and was the first one that Madelyne accepted. Â Although never violent, she is the undisputed matriarch of the household. Â She will hold down and groom any other cat, even Sebastian, who will growl softly as he puts up with it. Â Her grooming is often a way of breaking up fights, or settling down the wilder cats like Madelyne and St. John. Â When sheâs not cuddling with people, she sits curled up and stares into space, looking oddly wise and serene. Â Her favorite spot is a back windowsill where she can see out into the backyard, and the other cats tend to keep it clear for her. Â She enjoys watching the birds, but never seems interested in harming them. Â She doesnât hunt at all, and will treat any small rodent that enters the house like her own kitten.
Special bonus: Fabian Cat-tez.Â
All of Shinobi and St. Johnâs bad characteristics, combined and amplified.  Heâs always on the wrong side of every door, but doesnât have any of the Rum Tum Tuggerâs swagger, and only wishes he could rule the neighborhood like Sebastian.  Whenever he does something stupid, he will stalk away and angrily start grooming himself, pretending nothing happened.  In fact, he spends more time grooming himself than any of the other cats in the household. Big floofy orange tabby.
Btw, I realize that itâs generally better for cats to be kept indoors, both to protect them from danger and protect local wildlife from their murder sprees. But I couldnât imagine some of the Alt-Marauders as indoor cats. Letâs just assume the owner is trying to transition them all inside.       Â
