Scrambled Eggs AU: Research
@cavy-the-dragon As requested. : D
Since they've long reached a dead end with finding William Evan turns toward trying to find Michael. A small part of him hopes that it's all just a misunderstanding. Michael is someplace far away from there living an honest life.
According to the records Evan could find, for years after Michael left thinks seemed ordinary. Numerous part-time jobs when he was younger before finally settling down in a car shop. Then he suddenly quit his job of five years for seemingly no reason.
It took a lot of digging and some connections through Uncle Henry, but Evan was able to trace Michael back to the Sister Location. Or rather "Eggs Benedict". This explains why Michael and Eggs get the same reaction. Why Michael thought that was a good alias Evan will never Understand.
Evan also found out about the cover-up at the Sister Location. Parts of several animatronics missing, two dead bodies of workers were found, and organs and blood covered the "scooping room" floor. Well, now they definitely know where their friend came from and when he died.
No records of anyone besides Michael and the two identified bodies though. If their resident zombie really didn't have anyone looking for him, erasing the fact the guy was ever there, let alone died would be one less hit to the company's record. As if it didn't already look like it was run over by a truck.
Evan used Michael's employee record to find his address. Complaints from neighbors about smell, reports of him "acting strange" and "something not being right with him". Couldn't just be more specific and help him out, could they?
Evan eventually decides to pay Michael a little "visit." Evan thinks it's kind of ironic Michael is the one who taught him how to pick a lock in the first place.
When Evan opens the door he sees what the neighbors met by the smell. The stench of old blood and rot hit him in the face. Dry blood is everywhere. Pieces of very familiar-looking rotted flesh proving Evan's "guest" has been here. Damn it Michael.
Evan worse, the layer of dust over everything shows no one has been home for days, possibly weeks. So another murderous family member is on the run. Isn't that just great?

Scooby Doo and Krypto too! review
I saw the unreleased “Lost” Scooby Doo animated movie, Scooby Doo and Krypto too!   A little background on why this movie is considered “Lost” is when Warner Brothers was merged into Discovery a lot of finished and nearly finished films and TV shows were scrapped for tax write-off purposes.   This was pretty much unheard of until now because nearly finished seasons of TV shows and entirely finished movies were “deleted.”
Most of the victims of this tax write-off purge happened in Warner Brothers animation department. Because they were releasing the more adult themed Velma cartoon (which is infamously bad) they scrapped pretty much every kid-friendly Scooby Doo project in development (or even completed). The list of scrapped or canceled projects included:
Batgirl (Nearly finished live-action movie). Apparently someone tried to smuggle a copy out of Warner Brothers studios but was caught.  Scoob! 2 AKA Scoob! Holiday Haunt (completed CG animated movie) Scooby Doo and the Haunted High or Scooby Doo and the Haunted High school (Which was apparently filmed and was going to feature three new songs by The Hex Girls.  I love the Hex Girls.  I wish this one would get leaked just for the music). Scooby Doo and Krypto too! (A Scooby Doo and The Justice League crossover). So far this is the only scrapped film to have leaked online.  The Nevers season 1 part 2 (completed).  This one was scrapped but in an odd turn of events Tubi (the free streaming service) was allowed to show the unreleased episodes for three days back in February.        Doom Patrol season 5 (In development) This was canceled. Animaniacs season 4 (In development) Canceled.  Batman: The caped Crusader (animated series).  Originally this was planned to be a direct continuation of the now-classic 90s Batman The Animated series but when Kevin Conroy (the original voice of Batman) passed away, the plan was changed. Then the show was canceled all together but in an interesting turn of events Amazon Prime has bought up the distribution rights and will release the first season. There is no word on who will voice Batman and it will be by J. J. Abrams and Bruce Timm (co-creator of the 90s Batman animated series). Hellblazer.  This was to be a new reimagining of the character John Constantine for HBO Max by J. J. Abrams.  J. J. Abrams had even been given exclusive use of the John Constantine character in media while he was working on this show.  That was part of why John Constantine was written out of Legends of Tomorrow and one of the factors that may have contributed to why the contemporary Constantine in The Sandman Netflix series is a new version of Joanna Constantine (but with John’s backstory) instead.  This was scrapped. Constantine 2. ????  It’s not entirely clear what is going on with this one.  Back in 2005 Keanu Reeves played an American version of the British sorcerer character, John Constantine. After J. J. Abrams version of Hellblazer was at least temporarily scrapped it was believed the 2005 movie version of the character would get a sequel. Then the rumors started to circulate that even this was canceled.  It’s unclear what will happen now with the character. Keanu Reeves seems to believe the sequel movie will still happen. All DC Superhero films with Henry Cavill as Superman.  There are lots of rumors about this one so let me established right now that what I am saying right here is rumor and not solid fact. The rumor is part of why Henry Cavill left the TV show The Witcher (which is extremely popular over on Netflix) and why he will not be in the fourth season of the show, is because he was promised he would continue being Superman in Warner Brothers DC superhero movies.  But after the merger with Discovery all plans for future Superman films featuring Henry Cavill as Superman were scrapped. James Gunn (who was just appointed at Warner to oversee DC related projects) has gone on record saying this was NOT his idea, that the decision to stop doing Henry Cavill Superman movies was made before he got there.             The Dead Boy Detectives TV series (filmed).  Technically a spin-off of Doom Patrol (since that was their first TV appearance) AND Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman (since The Sandman comics is where they came from but of a storyline not yet covered by The Sandman Netflix series) The Dead Boy Detectives was dropped by HBO Max but Netflix has bought the distribution for at least season 1 of the series. Scooby Doo and the Mystery Pups.  This was to be a kid-friendly animated series for preschoolers but I guess someone got cold feet since they were doing an adult-orientated Scooby Doo themed show (Velma).   The irony is all the kid-friendly Scooby Doo projects sound great. It’s the adult themed one that they greenlit that probably should have been scrapped.   The Sandman.  The Sandman season 1 was a success over on Netflix and according to rumor (this one is only rumor) someone at Warner tried to cancel season 2 but the contracts had already been signed and they could not stop the show from continuing. There are more but those are all the ones I can think of from the top of my head.
Most of these shows and films were supposed to come out this year or even next year.    On the same day that the preschool friendly series “Scooby Doo and the Mystery Pups” was canceled, “Scooby Doo and Krypto too!” was leaked to torrent file sharing sights and dubious cartoon streaming sites as well as several Youtube channels. The Youtube versions were hastily removed by Warner Brothers but other copies of the film continued to circulate.
The quality of the film is perfect. It looks like a completed film.  And I am about to review it for you.      The animation style is deliberately very early 1970s.  The Joker looks exactly the way he did in the old Super Friends cartoon and there are some great homages to old and semi-obscure DC properties that old school fans would love. The voce of “The Kitchen” AI in the Hall of Justice is the voice of the narrator from Super Friends.
The plot is cute and very kid friendly.  Mysterious fiery “phantoms” keep appearing after the disappearance of the Justice League of America.  Jimmy Olsen (who is convinced that Daphne is his girlfriend because they went to camp together when they were nine) calls on the Scooby Gang for help.
Frank Welker is back as Fred.  After watching clips of Velma it felt good to see the classic version of Scooby Doo and the original voice of Fred still playing the part.  Tara Strong provides three voices.  All the characters are true to themselves though you may question Lex Luthor’s portrayal until near the end.  He’s gone back to his 80s self of being very Trump-esque.  I’d say it was ham fisted but Lex Luthor got to be president of the USA (in DC comics) before Trump so the behavior comparisons are hard to resist.      I’m glad Fred isn’t portrayed as vapid, van-obsessed, and selfish like he was in a few of the recent animated films. And Velma wasn’t obnoxiously skeptical either, like she was in Curse of the 13th Ghost.  Everyone pretty much feels like themselves and all the protagonists are likable.   There’s a lot of humor and DC Easter Eggs. The plot is definitely for kids even though it’s also retro and clearly meant to appeal to anyone who watched the “Scooby Doo movies” of the 1970s.  One of the best gags in it is when Velma takes off her glasses in front of Lois Lane and suddenly Lois can’t recognize her and gets confused until Velma puts her glasses back on. That was cute.  And the movie let Velma figure out Superman’s secret identity.   The music is very retro and feels like classic Scooby Doo. The best song is the opening song called “Where Only Heroes Go” and it sounds like a song from the original 1969 Scooby Doo and it’s good. It’s really good and catchy and completely in the style it should be. It helps you immerse yourself into the willful Nostalgia of it all.
I highly recommend it for kids and grown ups. It’s cute and sweet. It genuinely feels like both classic Scooby Doo and a bit like Justice League: Action.   In fact I’d dare say this was more a crossover of Scooby Doo and Justice League: Action than anything else.  I hope this movie gets a legitimate release.  It’s one of the best new animated Scooby Doo things I’ve seen in a while.

Read the full article

The Seduction of the Duke of Suffolk || Part 7, The Nightmare
This takes place somewhere between season 3 and 4 of the Tudors. Read these first Trigger Warning: age gap, sex, affair
Francis paced his quarters for hours after the feast. He couldn’t shake the feeling Colette was hiding something from him. Why would she feel the need to lie about talking with the Duchess? What could be so damning that a lie was warranted? He wasn’t ignorant to the rumors that circulated around about his bride-to-be and the Duke of Suffolk. He inquired about them with her father and he was reassured that the rumors were just that, rumors. Perhaps, it was time he asked Colette.
In the morning he set out to locate Colette. She was among a group of other women when Francis approached. “Ladies,” he greeted them with a respectful nod.
“Francis,” Colette cooed at the sight of him. He was certainly a good-looking man. He grew into his awkwardness from their youth. Colette blushed thinking about what might lie beneath the layers of his finery.
“Would you ladies mind if I borrowed Colette?” His accent made half of them blush and the low timber of his voice made the other half shutter.
“They don’t mind,” Colette added with a chuckle. “I will see you all later,” and she took Francis’ arm.
Francis took a deep breath. It was nerve-wracking to pull the words together to ask the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with if she was having an elicit affair with another man. He didn’t want to anger her with an accusation. He didn’t want for it to be true. He really didn’t want to ask. However, not asking would leave the rumor hanging in the back of his mind until the end of his days.
They approached a small bench and Francis motioned for Colette to sit. “Francis, are you alright?”
Francis ran his palms over his thighs and exhaled. “I need to ask you something.”
“What is it?” Colette let her face wear the worry building inside her. She dug around in her mind for something. Charles did come to mind but he couldn’t have seen anything from the feast. They stopped before he saw her.
“Are you…” he paused as the words were caught in his throat, “… are you intimate with Charles Brandon?”
Colette controlled her reaction. One wrong facial expression and she would give it all away. “Where is this coming from?”
“Answer the question, Colette,” Francis didn’t stop the frustration from coming out.
“No.”
“Then why did you lie about talking to the Duchess?” Her brows furrowed. How did he know it was a lie? “She was back at the feast talking to your parents when I saw you.”
Colette pursed her lips as she tried to think of something. Francis watched her carefully, waiting for an answer. “I didn’t want you to think I was up to something devious.”
“Then what were you doing?”
“Walking alone.”
“Why?”
“We had just become formally engaged. Everyone was asking me about it. The comments about my age and how lucky I was someone was still interested in marrying me.” She frowned. “I needed air.”
Francis cupped her face and held her gaze, “I am the one who is lucky.” Colette laughed softly. “They just don’t know you like I do.”
“You really feel that way?” Francis nodded. Guilt settled in Colette’s heart. She truly didn’t deserve him. She needed to end the affair with Charles. She knew that before but looking into Francis’ eyes made that even more pressing. She would end it even if it made her heart ache.
“I can’t wait for when we can be husband and wife.” He placed a chaste kiss to the tip of her nose.
“When might that be?”
“I will know once I receive word from my father.”
Their conversation was disrupted as the King as his men came down the corridor. Francis and Colette rose to their feet and waited for them to pass. Charles was in attendance and his eyes met Colette’s. Francis caught the quick smirk from the Duke and the rouge in his fiancée’s cheeks. Any reassurance he had prior to was lost. Something was going on between Colette and Charles. He knew it.
#
Charles Brandon was heading down the corridor when he made eye contact with Colette. Her widened eyes and panicked expression led him to believe that she was avoiding him. He had suspicions that she was since every time he spotted her, she magically vanished. He didn’t want to assume but her face said it all.
“Lady Gilles,” he approached her. She couldn’t sprint away in a crowded corridor. He needed to know why there was a sudden change in her reception of him.
“My lord,” her eyes stayed focused on the ground.
“May we speak?”
“Is that not what we are doing?”
“With less prying ears?”
“I would prefer it not…”
Charles hooked her arm with his elbow and lead her for a walk. “Why do you suddenly not wish to talk with me?”
The young woman grumbled as she tried to keep up with his long strides.
They made a quick turn and he spun to face her. “Answer me,” his commanding tone made her quiver. She damned him for having such an effect on her. It was going to make ending things so much harder. “Colette…”
She looked around before speaking, “Francis asked me if we were having an affair.” Charles pursed his lips and ran a hand over his beard. “Precisely. We cannot meet anymore.”
The rational man that Charles had become knew that their time was over. He knew it was over when she accepted Francis’ proposal for marriage. It was the youthful ignorance Colette ignited in him that hoped it would continue.
His lips pressed to her forehead with a sigh, “Goodbye, Colette.” Something about his goodbye felt like it was forever. It made tears prick the corner of her eyes. She tried to blink them away, but they broke free and rolled down her cheeks. Charles heard a soft sob and lifted her chin to look at him.
The world seemed to slow. Their lips hovered over one another begging for the other to break the stalemate. Charles caressed her cheek.
He felt as if he was drowning and she was the surface. How he wanted to breathe that sweet air. All he needed to do was bring his lips closer. Although, he knew it would be fleeting. He would have to slip beneath the surf and let the ocean of his heart break take him under for good.
A hand slipped to the small of her back, as her fist gripped the collar of his coat. The tension hung in the air for what felt like an eternity.
The sudden clearing of a throat caused the two to part. Colette quickly whisked her tears away and looked at Charles who looked as if he had seen a ghost.
Colette turned around slowly and was met with the familiar eyes of her father. His face was taught with anger. The Earl moved with heavy steps toward the pair and stared down at his daughter, “go.”
“Father…”
“Go. Lord Brandon and I have to have a word.” Colette stared up at her father with tears in her eyes, but it didn’t ebb his fury. “Go.”
With the click of Colette’s shoes fading, her father narrowed his gaze on the man before him. Charles was a large man, which meant the Earl had to crane his neck to look at the other square in the eyes. “I have one child on this Earth. One. The Lord has blessed me with a witty and beautiful daughter. I will not have her reputation sullied by the likes of you.”
Charles chose his words cautiously as if not to offend or enrage Lord Gilles. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. “I beg for your forgiveness. I assure you, what you saw was as far as it goes.”
Lord Gilles studied Charles for a minute before speaking, “stay away from her and my forgiveness is yours.”
Charles gave the other a quick nod, “you have my word.”
#
Colette was running down a long corridor. Her chest heaved against the tight corset bound around her as her lungs burned for more air. The echo of her heels hitting the floor was drowned out by the sound of her blood thumping in her ears. She came to an end and made a sharp turn. Then, she kept running.
Finally, she arrived at a weathered door. She tried to steady herself before entering. Breathe, she thought to herself. Just breathe.
Her fingers trembled as the latch on the door gave way. Her nerves tingled with anxiety as it slowly creaked open.
“Colette?” She heard a familiar voice call from the darkness.
“Yes,” she rushed in to meet the man who waited for her. “Where are you?” She searched around the darkness before she felt the familiar form beneath her fingers.
It was like nothing had changed. If anything, Charles’ lips hastily exploring hers was more impassioned because they were treading into dangerous water. Even his touch seemed hotter. It singed her flesh as his palms found their ways to her most tender flesh. He breathed against her neck as a small moan left her lips.
“Why, Colette?” Her eyes snapped open. It wasn’t the question. Rathe, it was the voice that made her stark with fear. “Why?” She knew the accent anywhere.
“Francis?” She shoved him away and scurried away.
“Why are you doing this to me?” She didn’t have to see his face to know the sadness that tugged at the corners of his mouth. She knew the look of sorrow was of her doing.
“I’m sorry, Francis. I’m sorry.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know.”
“Why?!” Then his tone changed from sadness to rage.
“I don’t know!” Colette felt the words leave her mouth like hot coals raking across dry earth. She felt the tears prickle in the corners of her eyes.
“Why?!” He screamed one more time.
As she drew the breath in, Colette shot up in her bed. Her mother came rushing in followed by her father. “Colette?!” The young woman was trying to catch her breath as her eyes met the others’ worried expressions.
“You screamed,” the Earl added.
“It was a bad dream.”
“Good. Now, go back to bed.”

When Walker was sitting with her back against the headboard of her hotelbed, Evie cuddled next to her as she read her her favorite bedtime story, she wondered if this was what happiness truly felt like. This was what she did every night since August died. Because he had been the one to read to her every night. More than once she had hidden as she listened to him reading.
Evie was asleep fast with the day they’ve had. They had spend another two hours in the pool area of the hotel. Carefully entangling herself from Evie, Walker kissed her forehead before she tucked her in and quietly walked out the door of the bedroom, closing it behind her.
Sighing she leaned with her back against the door. Seeing Marshall today brought all kinds of feelings and memories back, she hadn’t dealt with in the last years.
How could she have been so blind? She felt cheated by August in every existing way. He destroyed her ability to trust any other person with the games he had played with her. She didn’t understand how the man that woke her up with a freshly brewed coffee in bed on weekends, the man who had tea parties with Evie, could become a worldwide wanted terrorist.
Sure, she knew he had another side. He was a completely different person when he worked. Nobody ever only dared to disagree with him. He was the best at what he did and people knew it. There was a reason they had called him “The Hammer.” August was cruelless when he was working.Which resulted in him being the CIA’s first choice in difficult cases. Walker had been used to him being gone for days when he was sent on a mission. Before she had Evie she had been with him, but they both decided that when she was born, Evie would need someone who was always there.
Sighing she walked through the room, going straight for the bathroom to have a shower before Marshall would arrive. She needed a clear head. He would have a million questions she was sure.
Walker was standing under the stream of the hot shower, the water running down her back, she was still thinking about August. He seemed to be on her mind constantly since she got the news that he was still alive. Would he be coming for them? Or more for Evie?
She had already hat that talk with Miller. If she was successful in getting Marshall to help them, she would stay off duty until August was contained.
Her mind wandered back to past times. Before they had Evie, before they even had gotten married. Somehow Moscow came to her mind and she hated herself for it, but she let her hand wander down her body, her breath hitching as her fingers crept in between her legs.

Roof of Hotel National, Moscow, Russia, 5 years ago
“Target still at Restaurant. Going on radio silence until he moves.” The voice on their inside contact came from the radio, making her sigh.
“I’m freezing my ass off if this takes another hour.” She whined, the back of her head hitting against the wall. It was freezing at this time in moscow. They had been sent to watch the potential head of a underground of a drug cartel for two weeks now and tonight should have been the night they were going to take him in. Having gathered so much evidence, he would probably spend the rest of his life behind bars.
She looked at August sitting behind her, checking his gear. They had been seeing each other for almost a year by now. She was familiar with a side of August Walker nobody knew. Everyone always saw the intimidating and hard man.A side of him she right now wanted to use to her advantage.
“We have to stay out here, so best get yourself warmed up.” August said quietly, setting his gear down when he checked it. He looked at her. He was loving the way the tight gear hugged her body. Even in the middle of the night he could still make out her shape.
“Maybe you can help me get warmed up?” She asked, biting her lip.
“Only if you can stay quiet, which I know you can’t.” He said.
“And… If I promise to be a good, quiet girl for you, Agent Walker?” She asked.
“What if I wanted to make you scream?” He whispered, his hand tapping twice on his lap, making her get up and straddle him. His lips where on hers immediately, his tongue invading her mouth, making her moan.
“What if I want this whole fucking city to hear how hard i’m fucking you?” He asked, his hand coming in between her bodies, his warm hand slipping in between her legs.
“That would be unfortunate because we’re here undercover. and nobody is supposed to know your name” She whispered against his lips.
“Guess I have to gag you then…” He grinned.
“What do you want to gag on, Sweetheart?” He asked. She felt the cold metall of his handcuffs around one of her wrists, before they closed on her other behind her back, making her whimper.
“Your cock.” She breathed.

Walker bit her lip to stop herself from moaning out loud as she came on her fingers. Breathing harshly she sighed. She missed sex. More importantly, she missed sex with August. Even with everything he had done, he still was the one she thought about when she took care of her own orgasms. He really had ruined her for every other man. How he took everything from her, called her names, made her push her boundaries… He was a ruthless lover, but he always made sure she was just as satisfied as he was by the end. On good days.
She hadn’t been with another man since the day before he had left to go to meet with Hunt in europe. It’s not like she didn’t have the chance to be with anyone. But all the men she knew worked in the CIA and she made the rule to not ever date at work again.
Getting out of the shower she quickly dried herself, combing through her hair, before she put her favorite sweater and pyjama pants on. For the talk she was about to have, she had to be comfortable and she hoped Marshall wouldn’t mind.
It was 9pm sharp when there was a knock on the door. Jumping off the couch she breathed in deep before she opened the door. Marshall seemed to be relieved when she opened the door.
“Hey.” He said, his hands in his pants pockets. He was still wearing the dark sweater from earlier. He seemed just as nervous as Walker.
“Hey. Please come in.” She smiled, stepping to the side so he could walk past her.
“Is Evie…” He asked.
“She’s asleep. Very eventful day for her.” Walker chuckled.
“Do you want something to drink?” She asked. Marshall was standing looking out of the window that looked over the city.
“I feel like I will need a Bourbon for what I’m about to hear.” He sighed, not turning around.
“Me too.” She said and grabbed two glasses before she filled them. She sat down on the couch, setting his glass down on the table on the other side.
“So you knew who I was when you met me at the diner yesterday?” He asked.
“I did. But it was coincidence I saw you there. I had been planning to come to the police station today to talk to you.”
“About what?” He finally turned around, his arms crossed in front of him.
“Honestly?” She asked, he nodded.
“I wanted to talk to you about family. But my boss wants me to talk you into joining the CIA.”
“Okay. Then let’s just talk about family.” Marshall looked at her. She nodded relieved. Marshall took the glass of Bourbon and sat down on the opposite end of the couch.
“Did he knew…”
“Did August knew he had a brother? I’m pretty sure he didn’t. He was adopted when he was a year old. His family wasn’t…” Walker shook her head, lost for words.
“What his adoptive parents did to him isn’t excusable.” She swallowed.
“Is this one of the reasons he became a lunatic terrorist?” Marshall asked.
“Honestly, I can’t answer you that question. I found out about it the same day the rest of the world did. There is no day ever since I didn’t question my whole life. How I could be so blind…”
“There were no indications or anything that led you to believe that he was hiding something?” Marshall asked. He turned a little crossing his legs, so he was sitting facing her.
Walker sighed.
“I… I knew that something was up with him. He changed drastically since Evie was born. He never was a very… affectionate person. It seemed like you always needed to work to get some kind of reaction from him, but when he focused on you, it was the best feeling in the world.”
“You love him.” Marshall said.
“I don’t know if I love him, or if I love the idea of him. I question each and every thing we ever did together. Sometimes I’m not even sure if he loved me, or if he was looking for something and I was what came closest to his idea of a home.”
Marshall nodded as he took a sip of his bourbon
“What about you? Did you know you had a brother?” Walker asked. She angled her legs soe she was sitting on the couch, throwing a blanket over her lap.
“I didn’t. I was adopted when I was about one year old too, but my family… They are the best.” He looked down at his hands with a little smile.
“That’s nice.” Walker smiled.
“And you have a daughter?” She asked.
“Yeah. Faye. She’s turning 14 now. But she’s still my little baby.” He chuckled. “Even if she hates how I seem to ruin her life, a quote by her. But with what I see on a daily basis… I would do everything to keep her safe.” He looked up at Walker.
“I am the same way with Evie. A part of me hopes she never grows up. I can’t even begin to think about when she is going to find out about August.”
“She doesn’t remember him?” He asked. Walker sighed.
“I know that it is wrong, but she was just turning two years old when all of this happened. Yes she did ask in the beginning where Dada was. But once I moved houses with her and took down every picture I had with him… The questions got less and less.”
“I don’t think it’s wrong. You protect her. Even if that means never talking about her father ever again.”
“She has a tape of bedtime stories she listens to. August recorded it when she was about a year old and he had to leave on missions more often. Or so he told me. That’s really the only thing she has of him.”
“Is that why she was frowning at me earlier?”
“Probably. You do sound a lot like him.”
He chuckled.
“My twin brother was the leader of a terrorist organisation.” He shook his head.
“Marshall, he still is. The CIA believes that he is still alive.”
“I figured. You have any idea what the CIA wants with me?” He asked. Walker shook her head.
“They haven’t told me. My guess is you either should go undercover  and pose as him or they want to use you in another way.”
“I’d have to move.” He sighed.
“Probably. But Langley is pretty nice.” She smiled.
“Still would mean I had to leave Faye.”
“You and her mother….”
“Divorced. I am a pretty intense person to be around was something she used to say frequently.”
“You seem pretty chill to me.” Walker grinned, earning a chuckle.
“That’s the bourbon.”
“Somehow I doubt that. It would take a whole lot of bourbon for that.” That earned a honest laugh from Marshall. His whole body seemed to shake, as he shook his head.
“You are right about that. It takes a whole lot of bourbon for that.” There were little wrinkles around his eyes as he smiled, and Walker asked herself if this man that seemed to have a sadness inside of him, once used to laugh more often. She felt comfortable around him immediately, his persona so calming. She felt safe around him.
“Well… I should get going. I have an early day tomorrow.” Marshall said, getting up from the couch. Walker looked at the clock, a little shocked when she saw that it was almost midnight. They had spend the hours talking about their lives,, and Walker had answered every questions he had. He doesn’t seem as interested in August as in how she was dealing with what had happened. And surprising to her, she opened up to him, him being the first person who actually seemed to listen to her concerns.
“I’m so sorry I trapped you here.” Walker got up too, following him as he was walking towards the door.
“I wasn’t trapped, I could have walked out every time. I think you needed someone to talk to.”
“I think I did. Thank you.” She smiled up at him.
“And thank you for answering all my questions. I will think about the offer, that really wasn’t an offer.” He chuckled.
“I will tell my superior exactly that.” She grinned.
“It was nice meeting you, Walker.” Marshall said, as she opened the door for him.
“It was nice to meet you too, Marshall.” She smiled as he walked out.
“And I mean it, call me when you want to talk.” He looked at her.
“Thank you, Walther.” She waved at him. He bowed his head before he turned around and walked down the hallway.
