We keep remaking the classic in the same perspective and with the same "nuance" as if the book was written to be subtle.

But it was a punch in the face to every rich business owner of the time.

You ever get tired of the same retelling of an Xmas Carol?

Now, as a Billionaire, I sleep in a home fit for the King of business I am! I've worked my whole life for what I've got. Ground up and I can afford everything I want.

Blob Meditation

It was no surprise that Sam had the worst temper among the three of them, Danny thought it was because she worried too much, Tucker thought it was accumulative stress. The thing is, nothing she did helped with calm her down, which was why she suggested her friends to leave her alone for a few minutes, she didn't want to punch them.

They agreed and Sam sat on the castle stairs, she was stressed about her parents, college and Danny's safety. She was thinking about how to get him to move with them to Gotham, where Jazz was working but Danny wasn't comfortable with that. He wanted to help as much as they did, and it was obvious he wouldn't be able to contribute anything if he moved.

The fact that he had to hide from vigilantes who never paid him any attention before also frustrated him.

As she was thinking, some blob ghosts came bounding up to her, she pushed them away and continued on, but they swarmed and enveloped her. In a few seconds all her stress was gone and Sam looked at the blobs in dismay, though they gave her an idea.

Frostbite commented to her that the Blob ghosts were relaxing due to the fact that they purify, negative emotions were part of that. Sam smiled and offered Danny his business idea, the halfa looked at Sam doubtfully but hesitantly accepted.

Soon there was a new business popping up in Gotham. A relaxation and meditation center run by a young man, although it seemed to have a confidentiality agreement if you became a member. Strangely, both Rogues and regular people were attending.

The Batfamily became suspicious and sent Red Hood to investigate. A few days later, Jason was a member and was as calm as they had seen him in years, not even angry with Tim or calling him replacement for a whole week. Bruce began to worry that he had been caught in some kind of mind control.

Sam was happy that the business turned out good, seeing the room full of Blob ghosts was not surprising, they all floated around Danny and his "clients" happily, she guessed they were feeding well, Danny also seemed happy to contribute something to pay his University and their shared department so everyone was winning.

I am now thinking about Essek as, essentially, Anna Ripley for the Ruby Vanguard, and it's genuinely horrific to imagine but it's not a real timeline so it's hilarious. It is so funny in concept. He's a glorified postdoc with no mandatory ethics trainings, no future, and nothing to lose. Also he just got handed the power of a thousand suns with absolutely no oversight and a mandate to "do your worst".

This has such extreme "horse loose in a hospital" energy. No one knows what Essek will do next, least of all Essek! He's never been in control of the power of a thousand suns before! He's as confused as you are!

“What? Why?”

Once again, I am indicated by a hand gesture. “Eight.”

Sifo-Dyas half-shutters his eyes, glances from side to side, and then takes a step closer to Dooku. “You obviously did well.”

“Of course I did.”

Sifo-Dyas rises on his feet, one hand on Dooku’s shoulder to exert the leverage needed to pull their heads closer together. “How much for private tutoring?”

ok finished watching fangs of fortune tonight, and the ending was... okay, i guess? can't say i had SUPER high hopes for it from like episode 30 onwards.

still can't shake off the feeling what the screenwriters were actually going for BL and only put in a straight romance for censorship's sake lmao.

like i can't even say that the chemistry between zhu yan and wen xiao was non-existent, i genuinely enjoyed it in the beginning, but it kinda fizzled out once it got into romance territory. like the writers just went "well, he's a conventionally attractive man, she's a conventionally attractive woman, this is your bog standard generic straight romance from this point on". ugh.

and they did my girl pei sijing sooo dirty in the end lmao. but i guess that's what you get for not being part of a dysfunctional throuple on the dysfunctional throuples show. your puppet brother dies (again) and you're instantly forgotten until someone has to take charge of a government demon-hunting organisation while the people who previously ran it fuck off to do their own thing.

If you want to help the less fortunate, I find it very rewarding to carry baggies of food with me to give out to the homeless. You can fill them with sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers, trail mix, or anything that travels well in a baggie. I like to carry fruit snacks and Capri suns for the kids, too. I like to give them to the people with signs at the on and off ramps. I give them to anyone who looks like they could use some food. It's easy. It doesn't cost a lot and it makes you and the person with whom you shared your food very happy. I do this all year long. I think it's important to help others, and there are always people with signs on the on and off ramps. No one should ever go hungry, especially during the holidays when they see people buying things and they don't even have food. It's really a great feeling to see these people smile. Heart rate's dropped to a consistently lower level now which means I'm now freezing cold BUT at the very least I can sit up and not feel like I'm about to collapse. Even managed to go up and down the stairs without getting dizzy this time which is a huge win. Still higher than my usual default levels but it's way closer to it now and therefore manageable.

So it took like, what, 9-10 hours before I could get out of bed and start my day? just like yesterday then lmao <////3
