You know what I wanna see in Hazbin Hotel season 2? (Besides at least 12 episodes)

Characters from Helluva Boss. At least few of the Deadly Sins, to be precise.

'Cos I'm so curious about Lucifer's dynamic with them. I mean, is the lore still that they fell from heaven with Lucifer, or are they hell-born? Are they friends, or more like family? Perhaps more like co-workers?

I would honestly love to see some friends vibes, with a dash of found family. Maybe they'd help Luci feel less lonely after a long time of isolation. I don't have super high hopes tho, there's lots of story to go through before we got to fluff like that. But one can dream~

Honestly, season 2 of helluva boss has lasted for way too long. Maybe I'm being mean, but when you're In charge of an indie show where each episode is around 20 minutes (with exceptions) and takes months to come out, then you can't afford to have 12 episode long seasons because it'll be years till that mf is done

It's lasted so long and during that time, absolutely nothing of note has happened. It's just been the world's slowest train crash.

1: when did you start watching the show?

 I think it was near the end of 2023? I was introduced to the fandom by one of the comics that @fallen-gabrielle posted. I was a fan of old fashioned cartoons already and loved the unique art style! A few comics and several episodes later, I was hooked!

6: did you cry when you watch OP INTERVIEWS?

I didn't cry but It felt quite bitter sweet. I’m the sort of person who watches the end before finishing a series. So I kind of scrolled through the entire wiki and watched I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S. before actually watching the C:KND. It is an inevitable fate for all kids to grow up to grow old and gray at some point. But I have never seen characters grown up in a cartoon before. The whole episode made KND hit a bit too close to home to me. 

Ironically the episode that made me upset the most ended up being one of the reasons that I like about the KND.

7: funniest moment?

Wally saying “C’mon she already has every single rainbow monkey there is!”

And then watching in horror as the rainbow monkey aircraft coming into view before saying;

“Oh yeah, except that one.”

8: saddest moment?

Abby giving up in Operation M.A.U.R.I.C.E. after facing that every one she knows and loves in the KND will turn into teens & forget about her eventually.

Hi there!

After another re-watch and the head to pay attention to the small details, perhaps I have reconstructed a possible

Timeline of Helluva Boss

It would be better to define them as hypotheses. First of all, here is an outline of the episodes and their release dates.

I also included the one whose title we know, just for the sake of general overview. The theory for the moment covers 2 seasons out of 4 announced.

Here the synthetic timeline. From the estimate version I have removed the year here, we'll get to the reason.

Here I also report some of my thoughts:

Already from the first episodes there's a strong focus on clocks and time, it is much more striking in Oops, where Asmodeus' clock marks the whole day.

I'm not sure about the year, but also from the analyzes carried out later, 2021 could be the year of the narrative arc that goes from Murder Family to Ozzie's for sure.

(*) The Verosika's tour t-shirt was official and linked to the episode, at the moment I'm undecided on its validity at the year level, althought the date could be very possible.

However, my research started with Seeing Stars because it's the first episode to feature an almost specific date: the 20th of a 30-day month.

In my opinion it could be April chronologically and it's agreed with the information in the subsequent episodes.

The only problem is that the full moon would't coincide with what was marked by Blitz.

Noteworthy:

Blitz's calendar suggests that the full moon in that month is the 14th.

Stolas wrote in the Western Energy chat that Blitz was supposed to come that evening and that therefore the full moon was the 20th.

We are certainly either in 2021 or beyond given Moxxie's coin in Seeing Stars.

From the chat we can understand that:

About a month passes between the trio Ozzie's - Queen Bee - The Circus (1 moon)

About 3 months pass between Seeing Stars and Western Energy (3 moons)

Western Energy is placed a week before Oops and among these there's Unhappy Campers

From Millie's flyer we know that her and Moxxie's mission ends on Friday July 17th. We know from Blitz that this lasted a week, so it started on Monday 13th July.

According to what Striker says to Crisom, Western Energy should be set around July 11th and Oops around July 18th.

We should be in 2022 though, but in that case July 17th was a Sunday.

In Mammon's magnificent concert Blitz says on the call with Ozzie that it's a weekend.

There are two options:

It could be set on the week parallel (July 21-22th or 28-29th) to the events of Western-Unhappy-Oops.

It could be set on the following month (August).

Here we come to the gap:

(*) The Mammon's official t-shirt is clearly linked to the episode, but the date (2023) and month (October) cause the information to conflict.

So, at this point we have this options:

The official t-shirts are tied exclusively to the release date of the episode.

They are official only at the date level.

They're official and we're actually 2 years removed from Murder Family.

I think it is more canonical to consider a connection with the month of July shown in the episode and maintain the hypothesis.

Seeing Stars -> April

Wester Energy to Oops -> July

Full Moon → September or October 29th

In Apology Tour we have confirmation from multiple characters (and from the visit to Earth) that it is October 31th.

From the argument between Blitz and Stolas, it seems that it was 1 or 2 days after Full Moon. This creates some contradictions with the canonical month of the previous episode.

There are three options:

Full Moon Calendar has an "error"

It's been longer than it seems

Earth and Hell don't have the same chronological flow

I don't know which option to prefer.

From Ghost fu**ers the only information obtained is at the beginning of the episode:

Millie claims to Loona at the beginning of the episode that Blitz's crisis has been going on for over a month.

The client says that her murder occurred the day before, a Wednesday. So the current date is a Thursday.

We should be in November, if we consider that before this episode the 3 Shorts are placed probably at the end of the month.

I was hoping Mastermind would give us some more details, but it seems either we're happy with the episode or we find different lines. Incredible, an episode with so many media, chats, newspapers, live broadcasts, posts and articles and not even a shred of date. We only have the usual clock that marks everything between the afternoon and the evening.

We have to wait for Sinsmas (obviously set in December) and hope that something more will be mentioned.

As for the analysis with the theories on the trailer shown to us at the LVL UP on April 29th, for now I'll leave the post as it is. I don't think it makes sense to correct the opinions (only Sinsmas is missing), at most I'll modify it in terms of the relationship between Blitz and Stolas.

Saw someone pointing out that the clock that ticks at the beginning of every Helluva Boss episode is getting shorter and shorter in the last few eps. So I went back to each episode and here's what I've gathered:

Season 1

Episodes 1 (Murder Family) through 5 (Harvest Moon Festival): no ticking clock, the intro is completely silent.

Ep. 6 (Truth Seekers): the ticking clock appears. It ticks 6 times.

Ep. 7 (Ozzie's): it ticks 12 times (twice as many!!) The star behind the warnings also spins significantly more slowly.

Ep. 8 (Queen Bee): no intro/warning (likely because it was posted in a rush due to the copyright battle it had been fighting).

Edit: as @helluvahotmess pointed out, Ozzie's probably has 12 ticks because it was meant to be a 2-part finale, so 6 of those likely belong to Queen Bee!

Season 2:

Ep. 1 (The Circus): 6 ticks. The spinning star is now at the bottom of the screen

Ep. 2 (Seeing Stars): 6 ticks.

Ep. 3 (Exes and Oohs): 6 ticks.

Ep. 4 (Western Energy): 7 ticks.

Ep. 5 (Unhappy Campers): 7 ticks.

Ep. 6 (Oops): 5-6 ticks. The ticks get louder and have more of an echo, which makes them harder to count. They are also slightly faster.

Ep. 7 (Mammon's Magnificent Musical Mid-Season Special ft. Fizzarolli): 5 ticks. They are as fast and loud as in Oops, but die down faster. There's an eery sound in the background, sort of like a siren.

Ep. 8 (The Full Moon): 5 ticks. The siren sound is gone. The ticks are still as fast. They die down quickly too, and stop only halfway through the actual intro.

In conclusion, it seems like the number of ticks has been pretty inconsistent, but there does seem to be a trend in the last few episodes. They are getting louder, more intense, and the number of ticks does seem to be going down. Not just that, but in The Full Moon, half of the intro is completely silent.

We shall see what happens in Apology Tour! If there are 4 ticks, it could mean something big is coming at the end of the season.

How I think things are going to go in Helluva boss season 2 episodes 11-12

Mastermind/Episode 11

I expect this to be the court episode. I assume that the seven deadly sins will be there including Vassago and Andrealphus. Octavia and Stella will most likely be there. Stolas is called in to court either to settle the divorce between him and Stella or for giving IMP his grimoire.

Meanwhile Blitz and IMP get their building demolished and they have to go on the run for breaking Hell’s Laws. (They’ve been illegally entering the human realm for their business). I assume Blitz will be going to Stolas for answers.

I also suspect Octavia and Stolas will have an argument together about how Stolas doesn’t care for his family and he only cares for Blitz, ending with a song sung by Octavia.

Somehow/someway, Blitz finds Stolas in court and their transactional relationship gets revealed and Andrealpheus is the Mastermind behind the destruction of IMP. A fight between Andrealpheus and Stolas breaks out, ending with Stolas being too scared to defend himself and Blitz stepping into save him. Either Stolas will recognize Blitz and save them both, or Blitz unlocks his demon form. (If you don’t know Viv has said Imps and Sucubi have demon forms like the Sins and the Goetias.) Either way, they escape and Stolas and Blitz apologize for their actions and they confess their love. Since Stolas has nowhere to go since he can’t go back to the palace, he moves in with Blitz and becomes IMP’s accountant. (I assume this because IMP’s funds are fucked and Stolas is good at reading and counting.) I also think Stolas, no longer being there to be Prince, Octavia takes over as Princess of Goetia.

Sinsmas/Episode 12

Since the last episode was so climatic, I think this episode with show what life will be like after the events of the last episode. I suspect we’ll see Stolitz doing winter themed activities, possibly in the human world, with Moxxie and Millie. I also think Loona and Octavia will have a little one on one with each other like in Seeing Stars. (I thought of this because of the Sinsmas merch on the Helluva Boss store, specifically the puzzle. I know shouldn’t go off merch since most of if not all isn’t canon to the show. But I think it’s safe to say that Sinsmas will be a calmer, sweeter episode with Stolitz, sex jokes, and Octavia dealing with the fact that she’s princess now.)

This is just my personal theory using logic, teasers, and other theories. I could be wrong but Mastermind is dropping this Saturday so we’ll see very soon. 🥳

Prediction: Helluva Boss Season 12 Episode 12 will be released on December 31st

Like I said in the title, this is a PREDICTION. I do not know the official release date with 100% certainty, but I have discovered a pattern with the release dates during the Season 2B period that has made me around 90% sure that the release date of the season 2 finale will be on December 31st.

April: Season 2B trailer is released, with the release months of each episode (Episode 12 being in December)

May: May has 31 days, new episode released on the 31st

June: June doesn’t have 31 days, new episode released on the 22nd

July: July has 31 days, new short released on the 31st

August: August has 31 days, new short released on the 31st

September: September doesn’t have 31 days, new short released on the 29th

October: October has 31 days, new episode released on the 31st

November: November doesn’t have 30 days, new episode released on the 29th

December: December has 31 days, if the pattern continues a new episode will come out on the 31st

In addition to this, Season 2 Episode 9 took place on Halloween and then Season 2 Episode 10 was released on Halloween. Does anyone remember any mention of it being New Year’s Eve in Season 2 Episode 11? If not, does the calendar in Blitzo’s office appear in the background at all in Season 2 Episode 11? If so, what date does it say it is?

An (one of many) unpopular opinion, but I am not a fan of all of these “Helluva Boss is better than Hazbin Hotel” takes.

Not because I prefer Hazbin over Helluva (I mean I do to be honest, but that’s besides the point I am making here), but because I find it very unfair to compare a show that so far has only 8 episodes in one season (HH) to a show that is done 9 of 12 episodes in it’s second season (HB). Not that mention that the latest episode of HH came out February 2nd 2024 where as the latest full episode of HB came out June 22nd, and a new short that will be coming out soon, showing that there could be a recency bias in favor of HB maybe? Oh and how HH doesn’t have any shorts where as HB is gonna 3 of them too.

Can we at least wait until at Hazbin season 2 is fully out before we treat “this show is better than that show” as a fact?
