#helluva boss hellhounds

I was thinking about Helluva Boss’ Hellhounds and I have a head canon for them. So we see that a lot of them mimic dog breeds, many of which only came into existence within the last few hundred years. So what did Hellhounds look like before then?

I think that they mimic earthly canines, so way back when Hell was new and dogs didn’t really exist, Hellhounds much more closely resembled wolves and were much more wild. Then wolves were domesticated, Hellhounds begin mimicking those proto dogs, and fast forward a few thousand years and now you have much tamer hounds that resemble boxers and dalmatians and huskies and every other dog breed under the sun.

Doesn't Beelzebub have control of the hellhound pounds and how would she react if it was brought up?

THIS!!!!! THISSSSSSSS!!!! I have thought about this for a minute, and I am so glad I'm not the only one!

So here's the thing, based on what little we know about Beelzebub, I don't think she really knows how bad the pounds are. I know that logically she should know, and to some degree, she might, but it does seem like she is more of a party girl for the most part, so I'm kinda wondering how long it's been since she's actually been to one of the pounds. Months? Maybe more? I know a lot of people have said that they think Bee's signature is on Loona's adoption papers, but I'm wondering if she maybe just has someone stamp her name on everything or if the paper are brought to her instead of her going down to the pound to sign them.

I think if someone were to bring it up, she would deny it or say something along the lines of "it was a little rough when I went, but it wasn't that bad" or "well we are in hell...", but I don't think she would actually be ok with how the pounds are run on a day to day level if she saw it now. Bee doesn't strike me as the abuse of power type or the type to create an entire species just to essentially torment (for lack of a better word) them the way we see with Satan, and I don't really think that she's quite as classist as the other sins. If she were to have someone ask her about the pounds or the mistreatment of the hounds in the pounds system, or if someone were to protest against the mistreatment of the hounds in the pound, I think she would set aside the party girl persona for a minute and actually look at what is going on there, and I do think that things would change in terms of how the pounds are run.... I also think she would put her own little spin on it so that the pounds had just a touch of her gluttonous flare.

Given the fact that Bee is likely more of the face of the operation and not really the one doing the work, I think that demons in charge of the actual pound system would be out of a job, and I do see her finding another hellhound to take over since a hound that grew up in the broken system would likely know what needed to fixed to make the pounds more humane.... Personally I think this job would be amazing for Loona, especially given the character development we've been getting from her, but even if Bee didn't make the pounds leaps and bounds better, I definitely think her dropping in more often would go a long way in making things at least slightly better, cause I don't think she'd stand for just how bad they seem to be as of now.

sometimes when im going through it i need someone to tell me to get my head out of my ass. stolas needs time to deal with shit but someone’s gotta tell him to get it together eventually and based on how it’s going I don’t think it’s gonna be blitz.

I like to imagine he’s been hiding out at the apartment being miserable and blitz is just too soft and worried to push him on it. loonas ready to drag his ass to the office.

This is probably a controversial opinion, but Asmodeus and Beelzebub are evidence that if you are a pleasant enough person who mingles and parties with the lower class and doesn't say overtly classist stuff, people will let you get away with the bare minimum and give you a truly astounding amount of benefit of the doubt, even if you enable, maintain and benefit from an insanely classist system that massively and negatively impacts your partner, not to mention the people you're supposed to rule over.
