Sin misopportinity

I sort of think the last episode could have done with being a two parter, ending on the classic 'to be continued'. Why? Because technically, thought it was condensed down to 'Stolitz', a whole lot was going

• why exactly Stolas can't lend his book out if that's the case?

• isvit just Ozzie who can allow demons on earth and can dish a crystal out to just about anyone?

• who is and isn't allowed on earth and why?

• what are the differences between sins and goatia?

• what did all those of high status think of this case they had to observe?

It was hard to pinpoint what exactly the trial was about.

What were IMP in trouble for? Using Stolas's book? Going to Earth without being under jurisdiction and protocol which Blitzø now has down to the crysyal or was Blitzø in trouble for coercive abuse and stealing from his victim?

Blitzø and Stolas was the only case really built up with any evidence behind it, false aside, but what exactly was the criminal offense in this righteous world?

Their 'fling' was encouraged and there are other parings like it, but do Ozzie and Bee not rank above goatia?

The start of the episode had the team rushing to dispose of any trace of work, but what exactly were they hiding? This scene seem to make sense because 'shady+the law= run, hiding and cover lol', but it really doesn't.

Where they getting busted for an illegal business? No, they breach no particular moral code, the business was advertised (yeh yeh, pilot) and they have made no efforts to hide.

Taxes may have actually made for a good trial.

In the few times we have followed IMP to earth (excluding the shorts which are good and much needed, but maybe not a cohesive part of the story), Blitzø and co have been rather professional and stealthy, they have went directly to their target's locations and they have used weapons a human would use. They have pulled off not having human disguises because of time, place and the shallowness of the people around them.

On the other hand, Stolas presented himself to human in his monster form, which is probably fine since status brings special treatment, however Verosika and Barbiewire who is just an imp couldn't have drawn more attention to themselves.

We had Verosika, an asmodean crystal user and bee juice drinker (insinuated to be an adict), going to Earth and being responsible for a fish supersizing, causing a massive scene of the unexplained.

We have Barbiewire, an asmodean crystal user and addict who got close with a teenager who put in a dangerous situation and got killed, causing a gruesome mess which could easily have resulted in their little footprints being visible at this big deal of a crime scene.

So it would be a hard press to pull IMP up for misconduct because will these two ever be pulled up for their lack of professionalism? They alone could provide D.H.O.R.K with plenty of leads.

More questions

• is a lack of professionalism an issue?

• why would two messes be given such a privilege?

• what's in it for Ozzie having demons working under him and going to Earth?

• are Ozzie's crystals not carefully issued and regulated but something that can be bought?

• can Beeljuice be bought, why? Can it be transported out of hell with consequence?

• is it just Ozzie and Stolas with magic to get to earth?

Mastermind had it's moments but court is where you lay out all the formal stuff and build as clear picture as possible. Yes it's made less serious by this whole trial being bought on by a bit of hearsay but we had almost all the rulers wasting their time showing, along with goatia present, able to chip in a d giving nada.

This court even had the SIN OF WRATH wanting to tone down his behaviour dispite not answerable to anyone since the guy we are told is in charge wasn't there, he was reasonable enough to allow Blitzø to spare his team and open enough to broadcast the whole trial live for everyone, yet topping all this off with a jury would have been great, it would serve to show us where all the sins stand on matters poor Bel and Lev have entered into the story so lamely and had that been televised too, public opinion of royalty would also hold more substance (we really don't know why the general public would hate Stolas so much outside of just not liking the rich because rich).

Everything was set up for some in depth lore!

Lastly since jurisdiction is a thing, why didn't Ozzie speak up and say Blitzø works for him now and maybe fill us in on what that actually means? If anything?

Identifying Demons: Ars Goetia

Pretty random thing to attempt but I wanted to try it, mainly thanks to posts by @mintaikcorpse :]]

This is what I got so far and I’m gonna list why I think this is who’s who below the cut (also even if it’s revealed these are wrong or irrelevant I don’t really care that much bc there’s little chance I’m gonna write using the Goetia much

Vassago: Pretty simple start, it’s already confirmed

Raum: Described as an Earl ruling 30 legions of demons, his description mentions him taking the appearance of a crow and he is then also described to “steal treasures out of kings' houses, carrying them where he wishes” — so from the appearance of this bird guy, he seems to really like his gold since his anthropomorphised wing-hands have gold rings all over them

Sitri: Honestly my favourite look out of this group :] a Prince ruling over 60 legions of Demons, he’s one of the few Goetia depicted as having a leopard appearance, alongside griffin wings. Fits pretty perfectly for what’s in the picture

Shax: Marquis having power over 30 legions of Demons (on evil horses apparently) he is depicted as a stork, and I think with the long beak and thin neck that’s what he’s implied to be. His outfit also sort of looks like the uniform dressage riders wear (at least in my eyes) with the black coat and white shirt underneath, so that could potentially cover the “evil horses” thing

Botis: Pretty easy one as not a lot of Goetia appear to be serpent like. A President that commands 60 legions of Demons and depicted as an “ugly viper” aww poor guy :(( I think he’s silly looking

Ipos: Prince that commands 36 legions of Demons. A pretty hard one to figure out, but in this pic he’s very vulture like, so googling “vulture ars Goetia” brought me to Ipos’ page, as he is sometimes described as a vulture (although very rarely, he’s commonly a fuck ton of animals smooshed together)

Buer: President with 50 legions of Demons under his command. This was definitely the toughest one T-T the picture of this lil guy very much yells goat to me but looking through all the Goetia descriptions the only time I could see anything like that was in Buer’s text, which says “He has been described as being a wheel with several legs, or even as a lion head with multiple goat legs.” That was all I got, but given that there’s several Goetia already with lion features, I decided to focus on the singular goat part and leave it at that 💀

It’s fun and definitely satisfying to put names to faces, as for me I like to have things like this tucked away to potentially use in stories

I severely doubt all 72 Goetia are ever going to show up in Helluva or Hazbin, but given how many there are and how plenty of them have a surprising amount of description, there’s a lot of overlap in animal features and I do hope that if any more are shown they aren’t just all birds

Maybe I’ll make another post like these if they get more screen time?

Final design + some initial sketches of Amy of the Ars Goetia. Yes, there's a demon in that book just called Amy. Which is hilarious. His description is pretty vague, just says he appears in fire and takes the shape of a man.

My OC Cinnamon is a relative of Amy's, though I havent decided their exact relation yet. Maybe a sibling?

So I went with a fire theme and paired that with a red fox + made her a girl.

I saw some people making Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss Aus, but most of them just turn Bob into a sinner or hellborn, But I got inspired to make this;

I tried to keep the Helluva Boss style but also add my own things (I REFUSE to give him a stickman body), And I wanted him to be classist and hypocrite like most Goetias, but in a more comical way rather than "poor meow meow Stolas" way, He's literally just Evermore but bird Demon lol

Also Doodled Eros as his little pet Husband Imp :3 For him, all Imps suck except his little Imp waif

💫Princess Octavia of the Ars Goetia 💫

I’ve been wondering: given the popularity of “Nobility Marrying Money” on Earth, have there been any cases of Overlords marrying members of the Ars Goetia?

The demon nobles would benefit from the Overlords’ wealth; while the Overlords would benefit from the nobles’ magical abilities, and access to the other rings of Hell.

The only major downside to such a union would be the Sinner’s inability to reproduce, but Paimon-for example-has a lot of children; so he could easily marry some (like Stolas) off to other Hellborn demons to produce heirs, while having others marry Overlords to replenish the family coffers. Another option is that at least some Goetia have multiple spouses, or one spouse plus official or unofficial consorts.

(If it is considered acceptable for Goetia to marry Overlords, then Paimon is guaranteed to have tried to convince Carmilla Carmine to force her daughters to marry some of his sons.)

Jasiline, Stolas and Stella's older daughter, had been doing much worse than her sister after the trial. She had hoarded most of her father's things in her room, refusing to let her mother and uncle get rid of anything.

Right now, the lighting in Jasiline's bedroom was slightly dim, and she sat in front of her vanity with tears on her face. She slowly took her scissors out of the drawer, and she just went at it. She cut her hair. When she was done, her waist length hair was just below her shoulder by two inches. If she was going to be stuck with her horrid mother and uncle, she wasn't going to be their pretty little model Goetia.

Being a Goetia lost all meaning after her father's exile.

"Jasiline, darling, open the door. You can't hide in there forever, sweetheart." Jasiline heard the insincere voice of her mother and opened the door. It was better to deal with her than fight her.

"Darling, I just wanted to check- WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR?!"

Jasiline couldn't even pretend she wasn't expecting it. Her mother always had crazy reactions to everything. "After everything, I decided I could use a change." Jasiline said, seeing her mother roll her eyes before letting out a sigh. "Well, it's not that short. You still look presentable for a Goetia, and I don't want to argue. Please come downstairs for dinner."

Jasiline silently nodded, following her mother before sitting at the table. She sat next to her sister, giving her a look that said she was there and she cared. The imp servants brought dinner to the table, and Jasiline tried not to glare daggers when she saw her uncle Andrealphus in her father's seat.

She knew what to do. She had a plan, but she would have to be careful. And she had to look out for Octavia now more than ever. No, things weren't going to be easy. But something had to be done, or the whole Goetia family might crumble. Andrealphus definitely didn't appreciate the responsibility of the title he stole like Stolas did.

The plan was clear, something nobody would expect, and few knew about: Get the help of the universe demons.
