hi ryan. blade and finish for the wrestling asks ^.^
blade: the bloodiest wrestling match you’ve ever watched?
drew parker vs ryuji ito ikkitousen deathmatch survivor 2021 finals!
the thing is, there are a few matches that involve blading in a more conventional sense that might have had flashier blood spots. kenny during fd2 looked like he got dunked in red goop at one point, but that still felt more... controlled? drew busts his upper back open in this match and starts gushing so bad they have to tape him up multiple times. which does not work because there's so much blood the tape doesn't stick to his skin. it's incredible
though i got recommended an abdullah kobayashi vs shuji ishikawa match recently, so this answer might change when i watch that... expecting lots of blood
finish: top 5 favorite finishing moves?
ushigoroshi (goto). when i learned that it's just part of cole's regular move set i got so unreasonably mad. i don't even dislike cole but... not for you. yoh can keep doing it though
one-winged angel (kenny) / syu-sekai (syuri). NOT the same move but they both involve an electric chair set-up which is one of my favorites
tour of the islands (cobb). SPECIFICALLY when he does a super tour of the islands... there's a mind-blowing one in his match against ospreay at the g1 supercard
rainmaker (okada). no further explanation needed. i do have to say that i don't like when people say jamie's hayterade is just a rainmaker. no it's not... they're both ripcord lariats but there's a difference. and the rainmaker is better. sorry women
stormbreaker (ospreay). funny how people on the indies copy ospreay's entire move set at times but don't even attempt this one. bonkers move

Spooky remorses II
Tumblr media
Part I
Summary: You dated Jax for a year and a half, it was great. You fought sure, but that's a given if you´re both stubborn (and he's constantly in danger). Gemma didn't like the relationship, and she made sure that it ended. Now, months after the breakup, your friend takes you to a Halloween party that just happens to be SAMCRO´s.
warnings: 18+, mdni
A/N: hiii omg i cant believe so many people liked the first snippet. thank you so much, honestly, i am beyond excited. so here´s a follow up, hope youu like it <3
tw: foul language, kinda hooking up with your ex, jealous jax, smoking,a little bit of spice, alcohol, gemma being mean
Word count: 4096
As you got to the middle of the dancefloor you saw Juice and Hazel and went over. Juice and you had gotten close while you dated Jax. He was easygoing, funny and nerdy, and the first of the boys to warm up to you.
He lifted you from the floor when you hugged, ¨How are you Juicy??¨.
He seemed genuinely happy to see you, and he gestured to Hazel when he answered, ¨I´m great. You look awesome, the fangs are hot¨.
Finally someone complimented you on the fangs, you personally considered they made you look way hotter, but whatever.
Your relationship with Juice had always been the find of friendship where it feels like you´ve known each other forever, so flirty jokes had always been present. Hazel seemed surprised at the closeness you had with him, but it made sense that you had friends there if you had dated Jax for a year and a half.
¨While you two catch up¨, she interrupted smiling, ¨I´m going to the bathroom and to get another drink¨
Juice and you danced for a little while when his shirt sleeve rolled up and his bicep was visible. Before you could help yourself, your hand was on it.
¨What the fuck happened to you since I´m not around? You on steroids or something?¨ Juice laughed at that and shook his head.
He flexed his muscles while he talked about the new work out he´d been doing, ¨You like it?¨
He kept flexing his arm, and you kept laughing and touching him. Both of you oblivious to Jax´s stare, a mix of annoyance and jealousy. Chibs wasn't obvious though, and he did what he was there for. ¨You don't look too happy there, Jackie-boy¨.
Ever since he'd seen you go in, he was on edge, he didn't know why. Okay, he did, you looked awesome and it wasn't for him. He regretted what had happened between you, and he felt guilty, he should've stood up for you to his mom. And now you were there, all gorgeous. But it wasn't for him, and you weren't with him. You were with Juice, admiring his muscles. And it pissed him off. You thought you could just walk in? Not even say hello? Prance around looking that good? Flirt with one of his brothers? All of that in front of him?
Juice and you were still joking around about how girls just swooned when they saw his ¨guns¨, as he liked to call them. If Jax thought that was as bad as it got, he was wrong when a song you loved came on and you seemed determined to have Juice dance it with you. He eventually accepted and pulled you close to him by your waist,  your arms around his neck. Jax was burning holes between his brother's tats when Chibs decided to continue his quest.
¨They´re getting cozy, aren't they?¨. He could feel the scot staring, but his eyes were glued to you.
To Juice´s hands on your waist, to the space separating your bodies that seemed to be getting smaller by the second. And your face, you were laughing at something, you lit up when you laughed. The way your right hand traveled from Juice´s neck to his arm again, squeezing it teasingly. He could feel the tension in his jaw, how tight he was gripping the beer, his knuckles white. And so could his brothers.
Then, you turned your head to look at him, your gaze uninterested and bored, and said something in Juice´s ear. That was it, you had crossed a line. Ignoring him was one thing, but that look of pure disinterest, you could not ignore what you meant to each other. So he started walking before he could think about it, not knowing what he was going to say when he got to you.
While you danced and joked, you suddenly felt Juice´s demeanor change, but you didn't need to ask what was going on.
¨Shit, I don't think Jax is loving this¨. He didn't stop dancing, but you could tell he was being careful.
You decided you were not going to take it seriously so you retorted, ¨Why wouldn't he like us dancing?¨
Juice chuckled, but his tone was serious, ¨Don't play innocent, you know he's jealous¨
You just couldn't resist a peek, was he really?, so you turned your head, very focused on keeping a neutral face, and looked at him. He did look jealous, and annoyed. You tried not to let it get to you, trying to have a good time.
So you made a joke, you had to get close to Juice´s ear so he could hear it, ¨Is he scared you´re gonna make a move on me or somethin´?¨
Instead of an actual answer, you saw Juice´s look of terror. Turning around, you understood why. Jax was walking towards you, an angry look on his face.
Juice´s whisper got mixed with yours, ¨Oh, hell¨ and ¨For the love of god-¨
Jax stopped in front of you, his eyes flickering back and forth between you two. He narrowed his eyes and clenched his jaw before speaking in the coldest tone you'd ever heard from him.
¨What the hell is going on?¨ It was an easy question, with an easy answer, but you weren't feeling like taking the easy and safe route.
Did you know he probably thought you were flirting? Yes. Did you care? No.
So, before you could think, or Juice could answer, the snarky remark was out your dark red lips. ¨What's it look like, genius?¨
It didn't seem possible, but his jaw clenched harder, he wasn't even looking at you. ¨It looks like you're flirtin´with Juice, gettin´all up on him right in front of me¨ There was something bitter about the way he answered.
¨You think I care that you´re here? ¨ Of course you did ¨You think I did this for your attention?¨ You hadn't, you actually hadn't. You were just trying to have some fun and ignore the hottest guy in the room.
Jax knew you were just trying to provoke him, and it was working, but he refused to give you the satisfaction. He just hated seeing you two together, laughing and having fun while he was miserable. And maybe he also hated how damn close you had been dancing. The way you were looking at him, a challenge in your eyes. Go ahead, make a scene. He absolutely hated that he was about to.
He took a step closer, lowering his voice. ¨I don't think you did it for my attention, but now you have it. So cut it out¨
What did he think was going to happen? You'd just agree? No, he just wasn't thinking straight anymore.
You, of course, only challenged him further. All that was needed for that were a scoff and two words. ¨Or. What.¨
Another step closer, you could touch him if you wanted to. ¨Or you´ll find out, that's what¨ He just growled an empty threat, you both knew it. He also knew he was out of patience and you were not going to keep pushing his buttons.
You realized something then, he had growled, and you heard him. How had you been able to hear him with all of the noise…everyone was staring at you. Well, fuck.
¨Okay people this isn't a show, go back to the party¨. With that, you left the clubhouse, only stopping against one of the picnic tables to lay against it and breathe deeply.
Jax´s eyes followed you, as they had through the night. He could feel the weight of everyone's gaze on him, this had turned into a bit of a spectacle. He let out a frustrated sigh as he followed you to the picnic table, his footsteps heavy and deliberate.
You heard him before you saw him, and as usual around him, you spoke before you thought. ¨You did always like to be the center of attention¨.
The snarky comment had Jax gritting his teeth, his anger flaring up again. He did not speak, however until he was standing in front of you, arms crossed over his broad chest.
¨I don't know what the hell your deal is tonight, but you´re really pushing my buttons, you know that?¨
To that, you only shrugged, looking at him coldly. ¨My deal is I just wanted to have some fun¨
Maybe looking at him had been a mistake, if he had looked good from afar, he looked even better right in front of you, illuminated only by the streetlamps. He was wearing what he always wore, and still he had never looked better in jeans and an oversized white t-shirt. Your face did not show any of that obviously, it was neutral. He could tell you were angry though. But you could tell that so was he, so you were in a tie.
Fun, that was what you were calling it? He let out a humorless chuckle, shaking his head in disbelief. ¨Yeah, real fun. Gettin´all cozy with Juice, practically making´out with him in front of me. That your idea of fun?¨
You bit your lip, trying not to lose it on him, the fake fangs drawing his attention. ¨So let's see if I got this right¨ You put all the poison you could in your words, hoping they stung as much as seeing him again did. ¨You´re mad that I danced with Juice, whose attention was on me, as opposed to dancing with you¨ You poked his chest before continuing ¨who didn't even say hi when I walked in?¨
He felt a pang in his chest at that, you were right, he´d been so caught up in his anger and jealousy that he hadn't even considered how he had ignored you up until that point. Jax looked away for a moment, a flash of guilt in his eyes.
¨I didn´t-¨ He started to defend himself, but cut himself off, you were right. Instead he let out a frustrated huff.
¨Yeah, that's what I thought¨ You let a beat of silence pass, then looked at him again. Fuck he looked good . ¨Got a smoke?¨ You needed something to do with your hands.
Jax looked confused for a second, his eyes scanning your face, staying on your lips for a second too long. He was still mad at you, but he obliged. ¨Yeah¨
He patted down his pockets until he found a crumpled pack of cigarettes. He took one out and handed it to you with his lighter. You only took the first, bringing your hand up as you asked , ¨Light me?¨
His pulse quickened at the simple request, something about the way you said it. A bolt of desire went down his spine. Something in him wanted to challenge you, so instead of just lighting it, he took the cigarette from your fingers and placed it between your lips, lightly brushing them. You made an effort to not show the way he affected you. Jax then leaned in closer, shielding the flame from the wind with his hand, not touching you. Your eyes were locked on his, the intensity of the moment almost unbearable. The fire made his eyes sparkle, you got lost in them.
His gaze was still fixed on yours as you took the first drag, his face so close to yours he could almost feel your breath on his lips. The intimacy made his heart race, his anger slowly fading into the background. Your anger also became less and less prominent, upstaged by a complexity of feelings.
Jax grabbed the cigarette from you and took a drag of his own, never breaking eye contact. The air between you was electric, crackling with tension. It was hard to breathe, having him so close. He blew the smoke, you felt it on the tip of your nose before it was blown away by the wind. His blue eyes were relentless, never breaking from you, not as he took another drag, and not as your hand searched for his to grab the cigarette. It felt like the tension was growing thicker by the second. Jax was very aware of how close he was to you, how easily he could just touch you.
He watched you smoke, and you watched him. Until your eyes focused on the cigarette instead of his blue ones. You followed the lipstick stained cig, and then your eyes stayed locked onto his lips. They wrapped around the end of the cigarette, then closed while he held the smoke in, and finally parted to let the smoke out. Jax could feel your gaze on his lips, it made his stomach clench with desire.
He took another drag, slowly and deliberately, his lips closing around the cigarette in a way that was almost sinful. To top it off, he let out a low hum, eyes never leaving yours even if you were not looking him back, mesmerized by his lips. He was fully aware of the effect he had on you. And you both knew it. You cursed him mentally when you realized he was doing it on purpose.
When he hummed though, that was straight up mean, and this time the curse came muttered under your breath, ¨fuck-¨
Jax smirked at your cursed response, his ego inflating. He could tell he was riling you up, and he was loving every second of it.
¨What was that, baby?¨ His voice was low and dripping with false innocence. And using baby so casually, like he would while you were together. None of it was accidental.
He took another drag, this time he watched you with a wolfish smile playing on his lips. You couldn't let him win.
Your hand went up to his face, sneaking the cigarette from him and taking it to your own lips. You exhaled the smoke in his face, lips almost brushing his.
¨Didn't say anything¨, you played along with his innocence, replicating it.
Jax´s heart skipped a beat when your hand snatched the cigarette from his mouth. He could feel your breath on his skin when your lips came so enticingly close to his. The innocent facade only making it harder not to close the space between you. But he knew it was only an act, one he wasn't buying.
He chuckled lowly, ¨Yeah, sure you didn´t¨. His eyes fell to your lips again. Your gaze was fixed on his eyes, the hungry look in them making it harder to think of a comeback.
You did what you could, taking a drag, hoping it would distract you, it didn't. ¨Yeah, sure I didn´t¨
Had it been the smartest thing to say? No, but it was the best you could come up with, so it would have to do. You had to up your game, he couldn't  win. Jax  found your teasing infuriating, it was also hot, yes, but infuriating. He was on edge, trying to keep his thoughts in check each time your lips wrapped around the cig. The need inside him to kiss you senseless was overwhelming, clouding his brain.
¨You're such a damn tease¨, he growled, ¨you know that?¨
To say that the growl had made your knees weak would be an understanding, so you decided to bring it up a notch too. It was only fair.
You replied in what could be considered a purr, rather than actual talking. ¨Don´t know what you´re talking about¨
His body ached to touch you, he gritted his teeth, wanting to kiss you until you couldn't breathe. Hell he wanted to kiss you until you couldn't remember your own damn name. The next time he talked you could hear the desire dripping in his rough voice, ¨God damnit, darlin´¨
You liked the effect that had had on him, so you purred again, this time closer to his ear. ¨What is it baby?¨
You hadn't meant to call him baby,  it slipped, you got too lost in the heat of the moment. If you weren't so distracted, you'd realize the importance of what you had just said, the major step back you'd taken in getting over him. And his beautiful blue eyes. And his perfect lips. But he didn't give you time to think about all of that because his eyes darkened, his body stiffened by the tension. The sultry purr, calling him baby, you made him want to show you how much he'd missed you.
¨You know damn well what you're doing to me¨, the desire was mixed with a bit of a warning. It did nothing to scare you off.
Using the hand that wasn't holding the cigarette, you pulled him closer by his belt loop, all caution thrown to the wind.
¨Remember when we used to smoke together? Blowing the smoke into each others mouths?¨. You sensed him nod, watching him clench his jaw.
The reminder of those memories felt like a punch to his gut, your mouths touching, feeling your breath against him, the way your kisses would taste,...Jax felt like he was drowning.
His hands came to rest on your hips and his voice was barely  rough whisper, ¨Yeah, I remember¨
You hummed, enjoying the feel of his hands on you, yours now resting on his abs, ,¨Havent done it in a long time, have you?¨
You could feel him tensing under your hand, fingers caressing his skin over the white cloth. His mind was spiraling, it had been so long since he felt your touch, and he wanted more. Jax tried to pull himself together, shaking his head and looking at your eyes.
His husky voice broke the silence, ¨No¨, and hesitantly, he added, ¨Not since you¨.
The hold on your hips got harsher, holding steady against his body. It made you press your legs together, and even worse, it pulled a groan from your throat. The fact that he hadn't done it with anyone else held significance, it felt like it was yours, it was something you did whenever your screaming matches reached a dead end. You´d share a cigarette, and it always led to this, which always led to bed. Or a couch. Or wherever. Even the pool table once.
Your legs pressing together did not go unnoticed, igniting in him the urge to pin you against the picnic table and take care of it himself. But he needed to keep some semblance of control, even if it was slipping further and further away. He did lean in closer, pressing himself against your body, his mouth so close to your ear you felt his beard scratch it.
But you couldn´r let him have this, so taking control over your body. Okay, maybe taking control was an exaggeration. Regaining an inch of self control, you whispered in his ear, ¨Wanna do it again? for old times sake?¨
Jax´x breath hitched as your breath ghosted over his ear, it took him a few seconds to understand what you said. And when he did, a shiver ghosted down his spine. His eyes fell closed as he fought the desire inside him, the want to do very ungentlemanly things to you against that table. But when had he even been a gentleman? He opened his eyes and looked at you, sending sparks though your whole body.
When he spoke and you looked up to him again his eyes were practically burning with desire. ¨Fuck yeah, I do.¨ His voice was barely above a whisper, yet it seemed to resonate through your whole body.
You did not have the strength to do anything, scared that your hands would tremble or your voice would shake. It wasn't a problem, because Jax took the cigarette from your hand, letting his knuckles graze your fingers. Your touch against his abs was driving him crazy. So did your smell. And so did your eyes, which were locked on his lips. The heat of your body, even if it was a chilly october night, made his mind travel to dark places. He took a slow drag.
¨Open up¨, his voice was raspier, holding the smoke in his lungs.
Your lips parted on their own accord, your head moving closer. That made Jax hum, itching to close the space between your mouths. His next command came right before he exhaled, not giving you time to react or answer, ¨Inhale¨. So you just obeyed, lips barely touching his.
That graze sent a wave of heat through his body. Every little detail, from the way the smoke curled around your nose to your hand tracing patterns on his abs, was more overwhelming than the last. It was a hard fight against himself, against the crippling desire to fuck you right then and there. The anticipation though, was making the moment hotter and hotter.
Your self awareness, the little voice screaming don´t do this, seemed to have disappeared with your self-esteem when he next ordered: ¨Hold it in¨. You almost moaned at that, his dominant side had always had that effect on you. Your hand moved to his waist, needing somewhere to hold on to before your knees gave out.
Your hand clutching his waist, that brought back memories. way more naked memories. Your body pressed against his, he was sure you could feel how hard he was against your thigh. And you could. It was distracting. You felt his arm move up again, but your eyes were locked on his.
Jax got closer as he spoke, his lips now millimeters from yours, ¨Ready?¨ You could taste the smoke as you exhaled.
Then your mind managed to work for a short second, what did he mean by ready?. ¨Another one?¨
Jax seemed to be a second away from tearing your dress off  as he answered, ¨Yeah…another one¨. It was a challenge, he was challenging you, the stubborn bastard. But you were definitely not losing this fight.
So as the cigarette came closer to his lips again, you snatched it, ¨My turn. ¨
He could hear it in your voice, you were fighting a losing battle, so was he. The idea of losing control with you in this moment, though, seemed appealing and terrifying at the same time. What you got instead of an answer was a groan and a rub,  his impossibly hard dick against your soft thigh. You didn't realize you had moaned until he mocked you for it, ¨You need to keep it together baby¨, then his head moved lower as he bit your earlobe, ¨We haven't even started yet¨.
His sass, as much as it bothered you, was hardly enough to keep you from clashing your lips with his. But he pulled away, his voice dripping sex and cockiness, ¨Show me what you got¨, nodding to the cig in your hand. And you had no voice but to obey.
So you took a long drag, hoping it would distract you from the ache between your legs. It didn't. Moving the hand from his waist to his face, you caressed his lower lip and decided to throw his words back at him.
¨Open up¨. You sounded way more confident than you were expecting, or felt for that matter. You could tell it had bothered him, good . That's not all it did, it caused him to hum. And as he parted his lips, his tongue darted out and licked your thumb. You shakingly exhaled the smoke, not knowing how much more you could take.
Jax did not need your instructions, closing the gap between you and inhaling the smoke, not pulling away even after he let the smoke out, you were breathing the same air. Jax somehow got closer, one of his hands steady on your hips as the other moved up, finally setting on the back of your head. His fingers traced patterns on your nape, sending shivers down your spine. Your mind was no longer yours as you slowly licked his lower lip. His lips parted a second later, but he didnt give in. Lucky for him, you didnt give a fuck anymore. Using the hand on his cheek, you pulled him closer and kissed him, your tongue in his mouth, battling for dominance. Fuck. It was somehow better than you remembered. And you couldn't get enough, his lips tasted like smoke and addiction.
Life never made it easy for you as the clubhouse door flew open, breaking the moment, shedding light and noise on you. On your compromising position.

Everyday I scroll through your blog just to remember what happiness is.
Also, I did have an actual question or request(?) I suppose, I want, NEED more details about your specific AU with Wendy and Jackie, what fo they enjoy? How often do they fight with their fathers? What do they grow up to be??? You've said before that Jack is scared of his powers, so does this result in him going out and having a 'normal' life? How would that affect his relationships with his family?
Of course you don't have to answer but I am very curious!
hello there!! I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying my blog, thank you for your kind words 💙
and yes i will gladly answer your questions! this will probably get a bit long, i hope that's okay with you
au's mainly focused on twins when they are around 17-18 (kind of symbolic to tim's age when he cloned them because I'm prosy like that)
one of the main reasons why I've decided to go for twins in this au (aside from being indecisive about whether it should be a boy or a girl) is because it gives me a chance to demonstrate how two people can have same upbringing/surrounding and be influenced by the very same group of people AND still form entirely different perspectives and opinions on certain things. i'm going to use both kids' relationships with kon as one of the clearest examples:
wendy appreciates kon dearly, she thinks very high of him and constantly seeks for his company and attention. on the other hand, as she gets older, it becomes really awkward for her to be around him because she's old enough now to actually understand and pear wiggle the whole "my dad cloned me out of this dead dude's dna without his consent" thing in her head, until she has to stop for a moment and go: "wow. that was So Not Okay of my dad." on top of that she's facing a major identity crisis because you know, teens, and starts to question her own existence and even tim's love for her, because she can't be sure now if he actually loves her or if she's just a good enough replacement of what her dad could have loved, but never got an actual chance. which eventually leads to her bottling up lots of anger towards tim, because obviously it's his fault that she can't look kon in the eyes anymore, and none of this would've happened if he just had his shit together and didn't try to clone kon all those years ago (and she's not even entirely wrong)
what she CAN'T fathom just yet is the fact that she loves kon so much partly because she got to see him through tim's eyes; part of her affection for kon is deeply rooted in a way tim spoke about him when she was a kid, always loving, always in awe — essentially, tim was the first person who taught wendy the concept and the feeling of love. and even her awkwardness and guilt that she's experiencing around kon are inherited from tim; she's just mirroring her dad's own feelings about himself without even realizing it
jackie, on the other hand... it would be easy to say that he's just not as close with kon as his sister, but when you start to look at the reasons, well, it gets a little bit messy. you see, jackie was always a "daddy's boy"; he and tim were inseparable when jackie was a kid, they still are, actually, it's just that tim only now starts to realize negative side effects of their closeness but that's for another post. not only that, he's also much more... observant than wendy in a lot of ways, so while wendy was soaking in tim's affection for kon as a sponge to eventually make it her own, jackie couldn't help but notice how hard it was for his dad to have kon in his life only as a co-parent and nothing more (they've bended their friendship as years went by, but it was never easy for both of them); not to mention that tim, to this day, experiences a very severe depressive episodes, to the point of not being able to get out of bed — jackie was very affected by it too growing up. so to him, as of now, it doesn't make sense for kon to stick around and be his usual "weekend dad" if he's not willing to stay forever, and he's kind of resentful towards kon, because he always felt sorry for tim in this situation. not that he doesn't understand why exactly it's the way that it is, it's just that his philosophy on that matter is: if you can't stay forever, do not bother visiting us at all, and stop giving dad any hope for more. jackie's anxiety regarding his kryptonian powers also does not help at all, more on that later
(got carried away with this, sorry, i just had to take this opportunity to explain why there are twins in my timkon clone baby au)
so about the kids, wendy is a rebellious soul and free spirit, and her interests really show that about her — she's been horse riding since she was five, tim was a bit hesitant about it at first, but with damian's help they managed to convince him that everything is going to be okay; damian has also bought wendy her own horse, the one she's connected with in her equestrian club (damian is her favorite uncle ever since; she did not let him call her horse a "Bathourse", tho). aside from that she plays guitar just a little, tim's also tried to teach her piano but ended up failing miserably; he also wasn't able to pass on to her his music taste, wendy is almost strictly a pop girl. she's not really good at photography from professional point of view, but she almost always has her little digital camera with her to take snapshots of memories
(she's also really into true crime videos/podcasts, it's one of the activities that she likes to share with her dad; most times after a fight with tim, if she wants to make up or apologize, she just sneaks into his office and starts playing random true crime youtube video at full volume)
jackie doesn't really have a "main" interest or hobby, even though he's passionate about a lot of things, some of them include: art (because damian), sports (although he's not playing himself), cars (because tim), photography (once again, tim), also I'm pretty sure he's good at math — a little bit of this, a little bit of that, as he himself would say. it could create a major problem for him to choose between college programs if he hadn't already decided that he is going to inherit drake industries, so business it is. tim actually had a whole conversation with him, like, "are you SURE that's what you want," resulting in jackie just. shrugging his shoulders, because it's just about as good as any other choice; not that he has some big, special dream anyway. also i think that he probably skipped a class (wendy did not; she's not too excited about going to college)
speaking about jackie being scared of his powers, it's most likely the result of an accident/series of accidents from his childhood when he unwillingly hurt tim or demolished something during tantrums (he used to throw them a lot when he was younger); kon has offered his help at figuring out how to control it, of course, but if for wendy it was existing and she wanted to get even stronger and make more progress, for jackie it was always about keeping it at bay so to not hurt anyone else. he never really wanted to become a vigilante either, which is good enough for tim because he's worried enough about wendy rushing to the field; he's as close at being a civilian as you can possibly get while growing up with bats and having a kryptonian dad. mostly it's a relief for his family ("at least one of us is going to graduate college"), although wendy can't stop bugging him about joining in and being the coolest vigilante twins gotham has ever seen. it's a bit isolating for him, sure, considering that everyone in his family is a superhero of some sort, but with tim mostly being a stay at home dad and only managing comms every once in a while it turned out better than it could
it DID get long, and i start to lose the train of thoughts; nevertheless, i hope you'll enjoy this answer 💙 feel free to ask more about them, I'm always up to chatting about my babies

You decided to watch your friends practice since you didn’t have anything to do. Jackie saw you and waved at you running to you. “Hey (name) you watching us practice ?” The leader of the team spoke to you, taking hold of a drink from the bleachers. It was quiet for a few minutes as she spoke up again, “So me and the girls are wondering do you wanna go to a party with us”. You thought for a few minutes and nodded “sure”. Jackie smiled at you and put her bottle down “it's randys ill send you the address””
3 hours later, after the party ( I’m lazy wtf ) you got home worrying if someone was following you, but surely no one wasn’t following you. “What a da-“ The phone Cut you off by rining..who was it? . Slowly going to the phone your hands shaking quickly answering. “Hello” your breath was shakey. The heavy breather from the other phone is as loud and fast, before the unknown caller spoke.
“What’s your favorite scary movie”
Standing in the kitchen looking around, “…who is thi-“ the unknow caller cut you off “ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION”. Shocked by the aggressive caller you obeyed.. “my favorite is friday the 13th….”
Hearing the unknown killer laugh, “good choice, that movie is like a game of cat and mouse..”, they hung up fast.. You are scared of what's about to happen, Hearing glass break in the living room so you decided to check it out only to find two people with ghostface mask and robs standing there tilting their heads.
As you dropped your phone and ran, their footsteps getting heavier and louder chasing you through the house.. “come back here” one of them spoke holding the knife you didn’t know why and who they were, why you why would they want you
As soon you made it to one of the rooms you felt another pair of hands on you push you down to the floor, a group of ghostfaces appear behind the main two.
“Look at this slut. Your enjoying this huh” one of them(nat) spoke as she got close to you, her knife pressing up to your thighs. “Such a slut” the one of the ghostface (Lottie) went up to nat who was looking down at you, you were weak whimpering, your hair being pulled back by a third ghostface (Jackie) who was rubbing your body “a group a killers just wanting to use you like a toy you want that right”
The fourth ghostface(Mari) was recording without saying a word, she was loving this already, you being a helpless victim to the girls plan they didn’t want to kill you,
THEY WERE OBSESSED
THEY WANTED YOU
“Come on you love this” the fifth(Misty) and sixth(Laura Lee) ghostface walked up to you, you whimpered they smirked behind the mask as the seventh(van)and eighth(tai) their knifes was on your shirt their knifes coverd in blood, “your hearts beating, what if we had a strap on huh wanna choke and gag on our cocks”
The last ghostface (shauna) spoke her hands on you again and to your neck. Whimpering again, you were scared but you loved it, shauna behind the masked licked her lips at the sight of you being help less, ‘’maybe if we come back again, your gonna take all of us’’ she took another pic of you, the group left without another word only the photos they took so they can get off to it later. THEY WERE OBSESSED you were their obsession..

Hello can I request Shauna Shipmen 1996 ver x Fem!Reader,
Shauna has had a long term crush on Reader and reader finds Shaunas journal after practice, the reader takes it home reads it be cause curiosity got the best of her, finds out Shauna likes her and, at practice reader gives Shauna her journal back, they talk , then reader kisses Shauna and they get together?
I hope this is good and that you will like writing it ahhah or not of course :] I hope your day was swell.
But Satisfaction Brought It Back
(1996) Shauna Shipman x fem!Reader
Summary: Shauna Shipman was like a riddle whose answer was just out of reach, and you would not be able to rest till you solved it.
Note: I hope this is alright! I had like multiple versions but this was the one that stuck with me.
Tumblr media
"Some of the guys are staring at you". You risked a look to the bleachers, like always Misty was seated, grinning widely at the training Yellowjackets. But a bit behind her were some of the guys from your grade, and different than Misty's grin, which could be seen as cute and excited, those grins made you feel disgusted. Like a piece of meat, an object.
Suddenly Shauna was in front of you, blocking your view of the bleachers and, thankfully, their view of you.
She looked at you with a frown, with these big brown eyes of hers. You wondered if anyone ever managed to stay angry at her for long. Surely all it took was someone looking in her eyes for just a moment to calm down. In your mind, you compared Shauna to a lot of animals daily, to their big innocent eyes.
"You okay?". Oh you have been staring at her. Your eyes moved around the field, faintly seeing Van smirking at your and Shauna's interaction. "Yeah just, kinda just done for the day you know?".
Your eyes met again, and you ended up just staring at each other again. It took you quite a lot of willpower not to look at her lips, but you got it done. You could not ignore how close you were to each other though. Truly, it would only take a single step to-
Suddenly Shauna pushed you to the ground, just in time for the ball to not hit your face. "HEY!". Shauna turned around to the rest of the team. "What was that?". You could see Allie flinching away in a guilty manner. "Unbelievable" And just as quickly as you sat on the ground, Shauna had helped you up again.
Her hand lingering on your arm before she let go and turned around to walk to Jackie. Without saying another word to you.
It was always like that with Shauna, hot and cold. Familiar like you were friends then the next she ignored you.
You really couldn't figure her out.
____________
She left her journal.
Shauna left her journal in the locker room.
You took a look around. You were the last person still there after helping Misty out. Shauna's journal was just right there on one of the benches. Like bait in a trap. So obvious.
How did nobody notice? How did Shauna not notice?
Your hands were itching for you to take it, surely it would be alright for you to bring it home, obviously so you could give it back to Shauna.
No other reason.
She will probably be thankful you found it!
Will give you a hug.
And if you accidentally let it fall open and see what is written inside?
Well surely she would understand.
Or simply never find out.
______________
Your hands were almost shaking when you came home that day, you didn't even bother reading yet another note from your parents explaining how they would come home late in the night. You simply ran up to your room and then pulled the journal out of your backpack.
That was it.
There was a quiet voice in your head, telling you that this was a horrible idea, an intrusion of privacy. But a louder voice told you that reading this journal would finally tell you what Shauna thought of you.
Whether she enjoyed your company or thought you were annoying.
If she liked you.
You agreed with the second voice.
You sat down on your bed, carefully opening the journal, like it would break if you were to open it too quickly.
Van knows I have a crush on...
And just like that you closed it again. You could NOT have read that name right. You opened the same page again, and sure enough, there it was, your name was written. And not only there. You flipped through some pages, again and again the same name, yours.
You read some of the entries about you and felt your cheeks burning as you did.
One entry was all about your visit to the mall with Jackie and Shauna, of course most of it was about the clothes you tried on and what she thought of them.
You remember that day clearly, you had tried on a dress because Jackie insisted you would look nice in it, but there was a zipper at the back you couldn't reach once you had it on. Shauna had helped you and you swore you forgot to breathe that day. Apparently the same had been true for her, because she wrote down that she held her breath while doing it.
Another entry is about a party neither of you wanted to go to, Shauna only went because Jackie said you would be there and you only went because Jackie told you Shauna would be there. Of course Shauna didn't know that you only came because of her, and up till now, you had no idea she only came for you.
You went to some earlier pages, trying to see if Shauna told Jackie that she liked you, apparently she did not, however she wrote that Jackie might be aware anyway.
Which makes sense, now that you look back at some times you three hanged out, only for Jackie to say she had something urgent she had to go to, leaving the two of you alone.
You laid down on your bed, staring up at the ceiling.
Shauna liked you back.
Now there was no way of giving back the journal while pretending you didn't read it. Because you had to do something about her liking you too.
This could end either really good or really badly.
Maybe you should ask Laura Lee to pray for you.
_________________
Your hands were shaking as you went into the locker room, not sure what your game plan was.
The only way to give the journal back to Shauna was now, you always stayed back to help Misty (Why that girl thought she could carry that much equipment was beyond you and you felt bad whenever you saw her struggle) and Shauna usually left early with Jackie.
So, it is now or never. Because if you keep the journal any longer Shauna will probably turn the whole school upside down as she did till now.
"Are you sure?". Her voice was the first one you heard when you entered, you were late, so most of the others were already outside. Quickly you started to change. "Yes Shauna, you put it right here! I will ask Misty, she would have noticed if someone left with your journal" Jackie walked past you, waving at you as she did.
"Or she is the one who took it" Shauna said, probably not realising you were there. You took her journal out of your bag, and walked to her, hiding it behind your back.
"Hey Shauna" Your voice was barely a whisper, having lost the courage you had just a moment ago. Her eyes found your immediately and you flinched, she looked beyond pissed. If there is one thing Shauna was good at, it was glaring at someone when pissed of.
"I uh… found your journal?" You revealed it to her, you barely had finished your sentence before she basically ripped it away from you.
Well that's not a good start.
"Where was it?" She flipped through the pages, as if she could somehow find out that way if someone read it or not. "Right here? You forgot it yesterday so…. I thought I keep it save for you?" She just nobbed her head before putting it next to her bag.
Ok, now or never.
"I actually wanted to.. eh.. to tell you something." She turned to you again, raising one of her eyebrows at you. "Well we need to go to practice just tell me-" "IreadyourjournalIamsorry". Her head snapped to you so quickly you winced, fearing she hurt her neck. "You what?", she stepped closer to you, which resulted in you stepping back and hitting a locker with your back.
Despite her wide brown eyes, Shauna could come of scary if she wanted to.
"I… I am sorry, I didn't think… I thought-"
You took a deep breath.
"I like you too". For a moment it was silent in the locker room. You both stared at each other. Her eyes slowly becoming soft. "You do?" Her eyes went to your lips, even if it was just for a second. Your own eyes did the same for her lips. You didn't even notice how you stopped breathing before you answered her with a nob.
Slowly her face came closer, ever closer, till finally she kissed you.
It was soft for just a moment before it almost became rough, but just stayed soft enough. Like she wanted to devour you whole but was afraid to do so.
"So Misty has no ide-" The door opened, leaving you and Shauna to part and look at a shocked Jackie. She looks between the two of you and then to the journal on the bench before smiling. "Oh, nevermind then, see you guys at practice! Be quick" And with that she was gone again. Leaving Shauna and you alone trying to catch your breath, you looked at each other before you both started to laugh.
"So… uh, you free tonight? There…. is this diner and -" "Sure, I pick you up after practice?" Wow, it seems like Shauna can't wait. "Yeah, yeah, that sounds great actually". She just smiled at you, leaning towards you again, just to quickly kiss you on the cheek and then drag you out of the locker room.
Seems like curiosity didn't kill the cat.

Where We Kept Our Magic (I)
How We Met
Hello everyone ! I know what you are all going to think ‘holy shit, Carole is back with a new series AGAIN how many of these does she have?!’ The answer is simple : a) I have no self -control whatsoever hence the numerous series, b)there is no excuse, I’m simply a very messy writer. However, so far, I’m keeping up with all the series, so… let’s see!
This series is a little peculiar, because it is not meant to be a real series. This will be made of scenes and snippets that are independent from one another (more or less) taken at different moments in an AU. But there isn’t one major plot binding the whole series together. The concept is simply to explore the idea of Sirius dating a muggle reader, nothing more. Each chapter = one moment in their lives. I’m starting off with how they’ve met, but the following chapter might not even be posted in chronological order, we’ll see. The idea is really to just have a collection of moments, that’s all.
Also, a huge thank you to @damalseer and @reg-arcturus-black because we’ve talked about this fic together, and I have listened to their amazing concepts for this.
Now, that being said, I hope you all like this cute concept! Let me know what you think!
****
Pairing: Sirius Black x Muggle!Reader
Warnings: none for this chapter (one mention of weed and none of the characters smoke) except for extreme fluffiness that might lead to cavities or a melting of the heart.
Summary: You and Sirius meet when you’re still young, and yet you fall head over heels for each other. But everything gets complicated when you learn that Sirius is a Wizard! Now, your whole world has to be reimagined. -This series is made of many independent snippets taken from Sirius and Muggle!Reader’s lovestory –
Word Count : 3747
Masterlist for the series - Sirius Black's Masterlist - Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
The music is loud, maybe too much so. Banging your head under the neon lights, you get dizzy after a while. It’s hot, full of people, an underground concert somewhere in Soho. Your friend has dragged you here, and you’ve sneaked out of your parents’ house to come. They will kill you if they notice your absence.
You’re sweaty, but you can’t say that you care. Your make up is smeared by now, eyeliner getting away from your eyes, and you don’t mind. You bang your head to the music still, some rock band you didn’t know before coming here. Still, they’re good enough, they make you jump up and down like a mad woman and that’s exactly what you need. You’re seventeen, you’re young, you want to be free. And as you let the music in, let it shake your body and echo with your heartbeat, you do feel like you’re breaking barriers, even if it can’t last beyond this night.
Your friend is shouting, and screaming along the song even if she doesn’t know the lyrics, and you laugh at her. It feels good. It feels liberating… Rock’n roll and Soul and the blurred scent of weed.
“I told you it would be awesome!” Jackie shouts, sending a wink your way through her pink heart-shaped glasses.
“It is!” you nod in agreement, screaming above the music while jumping up and down some more.
“Worse getting in trouble?”
“I’m not thinking about that right now!”
“No?”
“Right now, I’m enjoying myself! I can worry on my way home!”
“Now! That’s the spirit! You know what? You deserve a beer, rebel girl!”
You laugh at that, and let Jackie disappear through the crowd to get some beer from an illegal bar at the back of the room. You’re seventeen, you’re way too young to drink, and you don’t give a damn.
The beat drops, it makes your ribcage tremble, it shakes your brain, you’re dizzy again. You don’t wait for Jackie to be back, instead, you jump and clap along to the rhythm of the song. You only slow down when you have a strange feeling, like someone is staring at you…
And indeed, when you turn around, you notice a guy looking at you, a couple of rows behind.
Tall. Long dark-hair. Even from afar he seems extremely handsome, but the cold kind of beauty that fits better to a statue than to a living thing. Unreachable. Yes, that’s what is painted all over his features. Someone to admire from afar. A leather jacket, a Queen t-shirt. You can’t see his legs, but you bet on some dark jeans. He looks like trouble. An awful lot of it… And as he stares at you, you can’t help but find him intimidating.
But then, he notices that you’re looking at him, and his lips curve into a small, crooked smile. And you kind of like it.
You turn away again, though, and Sirius averts his gaze as well. This is ridiculous, anyway. He’s in Muggle London, at an illegal concert, getting drunk with James, Remus and Peter and this… You’re probably a Muggle, like everyone around him except for his fellow Marauders. He’s spotted you through the crowd: with your woollen crop-top, your flared jeans, and the bandana in your hair, you look like a hippie.
But he’s a Wizard, you’re off-limits. Too complicated, especially for him.
Instead, he raises his cup to drink some beer, but he finds the glass empty. He mumbles some insult under his breath.
“I’ll get some beer,” he tells James, his friend nodding but too busy dancing to properly answer.
And Sirius smiles bright at the sight of his best friend, his brother, grinning and having the time of his life, sweaty and hair even more dishevelled than usual, glasses lopsided upon his nose.
They’ve been back from Hogwarts for a couple of weeks, it’s their first night out since they’ve come back to the Potters. It’s Sirius’s first summer having a real home. And so far he loves it, and tonight more than ever. They’ve sneaked out of the Potters’ house to get on the Knight Bus and travel to Soho for this concert Remus had heard about through a Muggle friend of his. And Sirius loves it. Every second of it. His friends, the beat of the music through his ribcage, the lights, the shouts, the guitar screaming, the banging of his head to the rhythm… He loves it. He feels free. He’s been feeling that way since he ran from his parents the previous summer. It hits him with full strength now that he’s out of this mess, that he can be whoever he wants. He’s broken free, it feels a lot like flying, same exhilarating feeling.
He moves across the crowd to get a drink. He’s seventeen, too young to drink, but he doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about anything tonight. Tonight is for fun, only. His problems, the struggles of his world… that can wait for tomorrow.
The bar is at the back of the same room as the concert, the music is still as loud as it was when he was in the middle of the crowd, dancing. He points at his empty plastic cup while mouthing another beer to the waiter. The middle-aged man doesn’t ask questions. He’s smoking something, and Sirius isn’t sure it’s a mere cigarette. Sirius admires the tattoos on the man’s arms, intricate details painted with black ink. He wants to look like that. He wants to be tattooed, he’s been thinking about it for a while. He’ll get his first one during the summer, it’s decided…
He thanks the waiter and pays for his beer, but Sirius doesn’t get very far. He’s barely turned towards the stage again that someone bumps into him, and half of his beer is now wetting his favourite t-shirt.
“Oh fuck! Dick! Can’t you watch were you’re…”
But he looks up and his voice dies out when he falls into your eyes.
He’s only looked at you from afar, but he recognizes you in an instant. It’s weird. Like… like he knows you already. Like he’s drawn to you, for some reason.
His voice is much lower when he speaks again.
“…going.”
Your eyes are wide-open, you apologize profusely. You almost seem afraid of him.
And you are, for a part. Sirius is even more intimidating up-close. And his voice is deep and cold, and yet you love it. You love the deep, tumultuous sound. And his eyes are of a deep grey, like a summer sky before a thunder-storm, almost black under the blinking light of the concert. He’s much taller than you, it doesn’t help with the cold calmness that oozes from his frame, a feeling of something dangerously beautiful, almost aristocratic.
“Sorry, I’m so sorry…” you keep on saying that, and it takes Sirius a moment to finally react. He has to blink a couple of times before that.
Because you look beautiful like this, under the blinking lights. You are a hippie, you have the complete set of clothes, and he loves it, you look adorable. There’s something wild and determined in your gaze too, he doesn’t really know what it is, but it makes him feel safer anyway. You’re almost intimidating, in a way…
“No, it’s me. I’m sorry,” he mumbles, and he wonders why he’s acting almost shy now, he can feel a blush spreading across his features.
You notice his reddened cheeks, and you can’t refrain a smile. He looks cuter this way, almost kind.
“I… I’m sorry, I’m clumsy as fuck, sometimes,” he speaks, but the music is too loud, you can’t catch all the words.
“I’ll pay you another drink,” you offer, speaking loudly so he can hear you, but he shakes his head.
“No, no! It’s fine.”
“I’ve ruined it.”
“Not at all. I mean… kind of. But it’s fine. You didn’t mean it.”
You’re staring at each other, and it is very strange because… because you can feel that he’s trouble and yet you can’t seem to look away. He’s a good kind of trouble, you reckon. Not the classic bad boy, there’s something more layered into these dark eyes, and you want to know what it is all about. You don’t know why you feel like you know him, already. Like… like you’re drawn to him.
He's opened his mouth to speak again when Jackie shouts your name, grinning as she spots you, and you turn towards her.
“I was looking for my friend over there. She went to get us drinks.”
“I see.”
“Sorry again for the beer.”
Before Sirius can add anything you’ve turned around and you’re disappearing through the crowd, following Jackie, and Sirius remains standing there, with his glass half-empty and his wet t-shirt stinking of beer…
It takes him a moment to shake himself out of his thoughts, to look for the guys in the crowd again, to join them once more.
He’s barely reached the group that James turns to him with a mischievous grin that clearly means trouble.
“So… found a pretty lady, Padfoot?”
Sirius rolls his eyes.
“She bumped into me and now…”
He shows his drenched t-shirt, but James is not fooled, and neither are Peter and Remus, who are shaking their heads at their friend.
“That’s why you were blushing, of course,” Remus teases him, earning himself a punch in the arm.
“Fuck off, Moony!”
“He’s right, though,” Peter adds with a chuckle. “You were mesmerized!”
“I was not!”
“You should ask her out!” James encourages his friend. “She’s over there!”
Sirius follows the direction his friend is pointing, and you’re there alright. You’re dancing again, struggling a little because of your drink. You throw your head back as you laugh at your friend… you’re charming, really, even from afar…
But Sirius shakes his head, drinking some beer instead.
“Muggle,” is his only answer, barely audible above the loud music, as Sirius is more careful now.
But his three friends roll their eyes in unison.
“Come on, Pads!” Remus encourages him as well.
“Too complicated,” Sirius shakes his head.
“It doesn’t have to be anything serious! It’s summer! You could have a fling, for a couple of months,” Peter argues.
And Sirius is hesitant now. His friend is right. It doesn’t have to be complicated. It can merely be a fling… nothing serious…
“Besides, maybe she isn’t even nice!” Remus jumps in again, still rubbing his painful arm. “You should talk to her, while you still can.”
While you still can… Why does Sirius feel such an urgency all of a sudden? As if… as if he has so much to lose, when he hasn’t, really. You’re a stranger. He doesn’t even know your name…
He wants to know it though.
He heaves a sigh, one last hesitation, before he downs his drink in one large gulp, and strides across the crowd towards you.
His heart is beating so fast, and he doesn’t even know why, because… he doesn’t know. There are no stakes whatsoever. So, why is he nervous?
You don’t notice him until he’s right by your side, and Jackie frowns at him, wondering who the hell he is.
You freeze when you turn to him.
“Hey.”
“Hey?”
Your voice is too shy, he can’t hear you, but he guesses what you said by the movement of your lips.
“I… I was wondering… would you like a drink?”
He’s cursing himself for not looking as confident as usual. He’s never stuttered like that in front of a girl before.
You seem to hesitate, and he shoots you a crooked smile. It’s charming, but it still looks a little shy. You really love that…
“I’ve kind of changed my mind about the beer,” he jokes, and it’s enough to make you smile.
Behind you, you feel Jackie’s finger poking at your side, and you know what she means without looking at her. You can hear her voice, what she would say, her exact words.
Handsome bloke who seems to be our age. You’d better say yes!
And you’ve come here tonight to feel free. No consequences for now, no trouble, you’ll think about those once you try to sneak back into your parents’ house. For now, you’re in this crazy concert, under blinking neon lights, this guy is gorgeous and there’s something pulling you to him and… and it’s enough. At least, it’s enough for a drink.
“Alright, but I’m the one who owns you a drink. So, I’m buying.”
He grins at that, agreeing with a nod, and you walk towards the bar again.
You buy Sirius his drink, but the music seems even louder than before, and when he tries to speak to you, you can’t hear a thing.
After a second try, he leans closer to speak into your ear. So close, you can smell cigarettes, leather, beer and something of citrus on him. Your head spins a little…
“Mind stepping out for a minute?”
He reads on your face that he’s scared you away. You look up at him with worried eyes, and he curses himself for it.
After all, he still looks intimidating, with his cross earing, the pentagram pendant around his neck, his charming smile…
Is he simply a teenager? Or a psychopath? No one can know, after all… and you’re just seventeen, and he’s a stranger, and you ought to be careful.
He leans closer again, and you force yourself not to breathe his scent too deeply, not to close your eyes when you feel his breath graze the skin right behind your ear.
“We can stay by the door. But it’s too loud here.”
As if to prove a point, he points at his ear, then his throat. And he’s right, of course. If you want to talk, even for five minutes, you can’t do it here.
You slowly nod, going on your tiptoes. He bends a little to bring his ear to your level.
“I’ll warn my friend then.”
He nods with a smile, lets you cross the crowd.
You warn Jackie, she tells you she’ll check on you in ten minutes, just in case. And you’re grateful for it.
Meanwhile, Sirius throws a glance towards his friends, and they all give him some thumb-ups and some ridiculous grins, and he rolls his eyes.
You come back after a mere minute, and you let him guide you upstairs again.
It’s the end of spring, the beginning of summer, but the night is still fresh, cooled down by a small breeze. It sends shivers across your skin, but that’s a nice feeling. It clears your head a little bit. After the loud sound of the concert, the lights, the crowd, the shouts… it feels good to step outside in the quiet of a night in London.
A car drives by, there’s the rushed whisper of the wind in nearby trees, but that’s about it, really. A few people are taking a break from the show too, gathered in small clusters all along the backstreet where you stand now. As a reflex, you step closer to a lamppost, looking for the light. A lost moth in a dark street…
Sirius takes a pack of cigarettes out of his jacket, and offers you one, but you decline. He lights one up for himself.
“Do you like the concert so far?” he asks after taking his first drag.
“Yeah, it’s fun! I didn’t know the band before tonight though, so… not great to sing along!”
“Didn’t know them either. I came with a friend, he’s the one who knew the band. They’re good, though.”
“Yeah, they are.”
“You came with a friend too, right?”
“Yeah, with Jackie! She kind of… dragged me here, to be honest.”
“I’m grateful she did.”
There’s flirt in his tone, and you can’t help but shy away. And you look adorable like this, Sirius loves it. But then again, you don’t seem comfortable yet, and he wants you to be so.
“We can go back whenever you want, you know? It’s fine if you prefer to find back your friend,” he offers.
And you genuinely consider accepting, walking back inside and run away with Jackie but then again… you don’t really want to. Because Sirius is beyond handsome like this: smoking, tilting his head to the side a little as he waits for an answer, his face bathed in the golden light of the lamppost.
And you love his voice. Deep, much warmer than before. More welcoming. Charming…
“It’s okay, I’m just… not really used to going to concerts like that and… this…”
He smiles at that, a smile more earnest, brighter too, and you like it. He doesn’t seem so scary now…
“Neither am I, to be honest.”
“You look like the part, though,” you joke, pointing at his leather jacket, his t-shirt, his combat boots. He laughs at that, and you find that you like the sound. It’s brighter than you expected it would be.
“True but… let’s say that I didn’t often have the opportunity to come to this kind of things. Besides, I’m still young. Plenty of time to catch up with that now.”
“How old are you?”
“Seventeen.”
You seem to relax at that.
“I’m seventeen too.”
He raises an eyebrow, his smile crooked again, near a smirk, and you like it. You really do.
“Are you still in high school?” you ask him, and he nods.
“Yeah, huh… boarding school.”
“Oh, I see. It must be nice to see your parents during the summer.”
But he merely smiles, and doesn’t answer. You silently curse yourself for obviously touching a nerve.
It’s alright though, Sirius doesn’t mind. He doesn’t reckon that it’s a conversation fit for such a night though, so he changes the topic and guides it towards you again, and finally asks for your name.
“Y/N,” you answer with a smile, and he finds that he adores the sight of it; it’s infectious, he wants to smile too now. “What about you?”
“Sirius. Sirius Black. I know, weird name.”
“Pretty though.”
You exchange a grin, but the gesture is shy for both of you.
Damn, Sirius’s throat tightens, and he’s a ball of nerves, really. He doesn’t know what it is about you that just… makes him lose his cool. But he loves it. It’s endearing. And you’re worth it. He can feel it.
He guides the conversation towards you again, and ten minutes fly by, and you forget all about Jackie who’s supposed to check up on you. Sirius is on his second cigarette, and you don’t even notice her when she smiles at the sight of the two of you and decides to leave you alone and head back for the end of the show.
You talk for a long time, actually. You’ve relaxed as the minutes flew by, you feel good now. You don’t cling that much to the light of the lamppost, you’re turned fully towards Sirius instead. Another source of light, even if this one seems more complex.
You talk for a long while, so long that people start flooding the street as the show ends. You’re both running out of time… and neither of you want to say goodbye just yet.
But it’s late. Very late, the night is heavy and the moon is declining. You must go home, and so does he.
He takes a deep breath, before diving.
“Would that be too much to ask for, if I wanted to go on a date with you?”
But you’re not so hesitant anymore, and you grin up at him.
“That would be nice.”
Sirius grins, his heart skipping a few beats.
“What about some dinner?” he offers, remembering an Italian restaurant where Remus has taken them before. “On Friday?”
But you can’t afford to take the risk of your parents saying no, and going out with a stranger on a Friday night is a lot to ask for…
“What about lunch, instead?”
Sirius merely shrugs.
“Sure. Okay. Let’s do that. There’s an Italian restaurant a couple of streets away. Let’s meet there at noon.”
“Okay.”
The two of you exchange a grin, that turns into shy chuckles.
“Alright, I’ll see you at noon next Friday, then, Y/N. And… thanks again for the drink.”
“I owed you one.”
“Still nice to be offered drinks by such a pretty girl.”
He expects you to shy away but you laugh instead.
“Wow, what a lousy line!”
He’s a little taken aback, but he likes it. You fire back; he likes that.
“It was an amazing line!”
“No, it was terrible. All it was missing was a good old wink…”
Sirius shoots you a grin and flirtatious wink in response, and you hate yourself for letting your heart miss a beat at the sight, but you can hardly help it. You laugh harder still, the sound infectious, so much so that Sirius chuckles too.
“Well, for our date, please, work on your flirt,” you tease him, and he decides that he adores this side of you…
“Very well, ma’am.”
You exchange one last smile, but you can’t buy yourself more time. And Sirius knows that he’s staring a little too much, but he can’t help it. He just wants to remember you perfectly, waiting for this date.
“Goodnight, Y/N. Be safe to go home.”
Your smile grows fonder.
“Thank you. Same to you, be careful, it’s very late. Goodnight, Sirius.”
He wants to bend down and kiss your cheek, raise his fingers to the edge of your jaw to touch your skin, judge how soft it is by himself. But he’s afraid to go too fast, to scare you away again, so he doesn’t. He looks at you as you walk towards Jackie instead, as you walk down the alley and disappear by the corner. The boys are waiting for him, amused smiles on their lips, but Sirius doesn’t notice them. He merely stares at you instead.
And you want to go on your tip-toes and kiss his cheek, rest a hand on his shoulder to see if it’s as strong as it seems to be. But you’re afraid to go too fast, to scare him away, so you don’t. You turn around instead, looking for Jackie, and you walk away, leaving Sirius alone under the light of the lamppost. But then you disappear, and he steps out of the light.

Determined to Endure
Switch AU
A JSE Fanfic
A shorter chapter for today. I've been surprisingly busy this week... or maybe just tired lol. In any case, the IRIS arc continues! This time we're focusing on Jackie, Marvin, and Anti. Jackie is approached with a deal, but he tries to find a way around it. Meanwhile, Anti starts to hatch a plan, and Marvin gets taken somewhere for mysterious, but probably not good, reasons. A short summary for a short chapter. I hope you guys enjoy!

Jackie had been pretty much stuck in this room for days. He was going a little bit crazy from the lack of interaction. C&C guards showed up for each meal, dropping off food, but they might as well have been robots for how much they responded to him. The longer he was stuck in here, the more tempting it was to hit one of them with a chair and scream at them to answer him. He didn’t think that being stuck in here was worse than his time spent with Distorter, but it was still awful being trapped in here.
After what felt like ages, something different finally happened. Jackie was lying face-down on the bed when he heard the door open. He assumed that it was meal time, so he didn’t even bother to lift his head. Until... “Dr. Parker?”
“Huh?!” Jackie’s head shot up. He looked over to the side and saw someone sitting at the table. Daniel, the doctor who’d talked to him when he first woke up in IRIS. The door was already closed again. “What are you—You’re back now all of a sudden?!”
“Hello again, Dr. Parker,” Daniel said calmly. “I’m sorry about the long stretch of time without anyone checking in on you.”
Jackie rolled his eyes.
“Please, come over so we can talk,” Daniel continued.
Sighing, Jackie stood up and walked over to the other chair, sitting down across from Daniel. “What?” he snapped.
“Don’t be so hostile, Jackie,” Daniel said.
“You’ve locked me in a room while you’re experimenting on my friends! I have the right to be a bit fucking hostile!”
Daniel paused. “We don’t want you to be hurt, you know.”
“But my friends are fair game, then?” Jackie muttered.
“No, we don’t want them to be hurt, either,” Daniel said.
“...I just—” Jackie shook his head. “I just frankly don’t believe you.”
Daniel clasped his hands together and smiled, trying to look friendly. “I understand why you wouldn’t. But trust me when I say that everything we’re doing here is necessary. We want this to be as easy for all of you as possible. So if there’s anything you can tell us to help make them comfortable, it would be greatly appreciated.”
Jackie tensed immediately. “You—y-you want information from me?” he whispered.
“No, not in the way you’re thinking,” Daniel said. “Jackie, you have the ability to help your friends right now. For example, we know that Schneeplestein suffers from some sort of psychosis, and we can figure out his medication, but we don’t know if there’s anything that will upset him—”
“This whole thing is something that’ll ‘upset’ him!” Jackie growled.
“Alright, let’s start with that,” Daniel said. “What specifically would get to him?”
“Being fucking trapped? I—I-I can’t believe that you all don’t realize this! I can’t believe that I was part of this fucking company!”
Daniel was quiet for a while. “Dr. Parker,” he finally said seriously. “If you don't help us take care of your friends, they will not be helped at all.”
Jackie blinked. “Is that... a threat?”
“It is a fact. We do not know anything about them. Not really. We know facts that we found, but we don’t know about their personalities or emotional needs. You have been the friendliest of them so far—” As Daniel said that, Jackie barely managed to hold himself back from saying ‘I wonder why?!’ “—so you are the only one we can approach with questions. We would hate for your friends to suffer more than necessary. For example, Marvin Moore has some sort of chronic fatigue, yes? If we push him too far, that fatigue might become pain.”
Jackie went pale. That certainly sounded like a threat. “Wh-what are you guys going to do, that would—that would hurt him?”
“That’s the point, we don’t know,” Daniel emphasized. “But you could help us, and help him by proxy.” He leaned forward. “Who knows what might happen if you stay silent.”
“Y-you... you can’t...” Jackie swallowed a lump in his throat. He wanted to refuse to help IRIS. But... part of him couldn’t help but worry. What if Daniel was right? What if his friends ended up more hurt because he didn’t say anything?
Then he thought about what the others would say if they knew he’d told IRIS anything about them. Much less if IRIS used information he’d given them against his friends. Anti and Schneep would be pissed, Marvin probably would too... JJ would be kind about it, but he’d no doubt feel betrayed. He didn’t think that any of the guys would hold it against him for too long, but he would feel terrible knowing what he’d done, how he’d made them feel.
At the same time, he didn’t want to anger IRIS... just in case. Maybe he could pretend to cooperate? “Wh-what do you want to know?” he asked slowly.
“Tell us about your friend Marvin,” Daniel said. “Does he have any special requirements?”
“Um... h-he usually needs support to walk,” Jackie said slowly. “It helps keep him from getting tired.”
“I see. We believe he doesn’t have any anomalous abilities, is that correct?”
Jackie nodded. “Yeah. He’s just a guy.”
Daniel frowned doubtfully. He glanced at the camera in the corner—wait, shit, those are the WTCHR cameras! They’re able to detect lying! Did they know he wasn’t being entirely sincere in his responses? Well they probably knew he was panicking now, at least!
“And what about your anomalous friend?” Daniel asked. “Our medical scans have shown that his throat is damaged.”
“JJ?” Jackie paused, trying to slow down his thoughts to piece together a response that wouldn’t give away too much information. “He—yes, Distorter attacked him. He probably would’ve died if... a friend hadn’t intervened.”
“Is ALTR 53815-A related to his anomalous abilities?” Daniel asked.
“N-no, he just... has that, I think...” Don’t imply magicians exist, don’t imply magicians exist, don’t imply—
Daniel nodded slowly. “Were any of your friends in possession of any anomalous items?”
Jackie laughed, trying to sound lighthearted and not nervous. “I think I’d know about that,” he said, choosing his words carefully. It’s not an outright denial or agreement, but it should imply something. Don’t mention the cards, don’t mention the cards— “Besides, this—that question isn’t related to helping my friends, is it?”
“Well, if your friends have been exposed to any anomalous items they could still be suffering from the effect of—” Daniel paused. His hand went up to his ear for a second. Did he have some sort of earpiece? If he did, it must have been very small, because Jackie couldn’t see it. “...Perhaps we should be frank with you,” Daniel said. “We recovered strange playing cards from one of your friends. Marvin, I believe?”
“...oh?” Jackie instinctively wanted to tense up, but he forced himself to stay relaxed.
“We separated them from him,” Daniel said. “And yet, even after we did that, Marvin has been showing strange, anomalous properties.”
Jackie sat up straight. “Huh? What sort of properties?”
“He seemingly appeared out of nowhere,” Daniel said. “But on closer inspection, it seems as though he entered some sort of time lag.”
“Time what?”
“You’re familiar with lag in a video game, yes?” Daniel said. “When it stutters and glitches. Sometimes in a game with multiple people, someone who’s lagging can appear to phase through objects or appear out of nowhere. Your friend Marvin briefly entered a state similar to that in reality.”
“...huh.” Jackie leaned back. “I... don’t know anything about that. I’m... sorry.” He paused. “Maybe it’s... caused by the anomalous cards? Did you all do something to them when you took them from him?”
Daniel shook his head. “The cards did enter a strange state, but it happened on its own, not because of anything we did.”
Jackie wasn’t sure he believed that. But he didn’t think Daniel would lie about the ‘time lag.’ It was such a specific thing. What happened? Had Marvin cast some sort of spell with his cards before they all got knocked out by IRIS? “I don’t know anything about that,” Jackie repeated.
Daniel looked at him quietly for a moment. Scanned him with his eyes. Jackie swallowed a lump in his throat and stared back. After a moment, Daniel nodded. “Alright. Let’s continue. Now, your friend... ‘Anti,’ he’s called. We couldn’t find any legal records of his birth name, which is actually extraordinary in a way. Do you know anything about him that we should know?”
Jackie hesitated. “Um.. no... not really...” He wondered how Anti was getting along, actually. He hadn’t been reacting to the situation well in that brief moment he last saw him...
———————
This camera was made of fucking rock.
Anti had thought he’d be able to move it slightly—it seemed to be built on a hinge or a swivel so it could scan his room. If he could just jam it or something—but noooo, this might as well have been a solid piece of plastic for all it could move.
Biting back a growl of frustration, he carefully climbed down from the chair. He’d dragged it over beneath the camera so they couldn’t see him—he was fairly sure this spot directly under it was a blind spot—but they could probably still hear him. He had to be extra cautious so they wouldn’t catch on and stop him. No weird sounds or sudden movements. He’d even taken his shoes off so his footsteps would be quieter.
Back on solid ground again, he sat down heavily on the chair, leaning back, tilting his head up so he was looking at the underside of the camera. Maybe if he had some sort of tool... Maybe the next time they came to get him for one of those fucked-up experiments—because he was sure there would be another one of those—he could try to grab something.
But he had no idea how long that would be.
Patient. He had to be patient. He had to not lose his fucking mind like he did before. That’d be... difficult. But he could try. For his friends.
———————
Marvin was trying to nap when the door opened. He sat up straight immediately, and saw a pair of guards enter the room. “Wh-what is this?” he asked, voice showing more fear than he wanted. He still vividly remembered all the strangeness surrounding the last time they showed up to take him somewhere. Putting aside the accidental happenings with his failed escape attempt and his cards, there was... that experiment. He shuddered just recalling the daze he’d been in, the way Anti kept trying to reach out to him, but his voice had sounded so distant...
Without saying a word, the guards walked towards him. “Whoa, h-hey, back up!” Marvin scrambled backwards, but he was cornered. The guards grabbed him roughly by the shirt, ignoring his yelp, and dragged him off the bed, where they adjusted their hold so they were gripping his arms. Then they marched out of the room. In the hallway outside there was another pair of guards. They said nothing to each other, just walked down the hall, pulling Marvin with them.
“H-hey, is t’is abou’ what happened last time?” Marvin asked nervously. “You—t’ere’s no hard feelin’s, righ’?”
The guards didn’t say anything. But their tight grip on his arms felt personal, somehow.
They dragged him in the same direction he’d escaped before—going through the set of double doors into that white-walled highway, and then down to the elevator at the end. One of the guards took out a keycard and scanned it before pressing a button to call the elevator. Marvin briefly considered trying to break free while they were waiting—but then one of the guards casually took something off his belt and pointed it at Marvin. He froze. That couldn’t be a real gun. Or at least, not one that shot bullets. But it probably shot something nasty nonetheless. The implication was clear. He was not to escape.
When the elevator arrived, the guards dragged him in and quickly pressed the button second from the top. The doors closed, and Marvin tried to push back the sense of finality that came with that.
The ride was short. Soon, the elevator stopped and the guards pulled Marvin out onto a new floor. One which, bizarrely enough, reminded Marvin of a hospital. He wasn’t sure why. There was just something in the plaster walls and tile floor that caused the feeling. Maybe part of the reason was because, unlike the other floor, the elevator here opened onto an open space instead of a hallway. A big square room, with a corridor on the walls left, right, and ahead. The central area of the room had a bunch of desks with computers.
The walls of the room also had some windowed sections, and some glass doors. Marvin glanced into the nearest one. Ah—there were smaller rooms lining this larger one, and the glass walls and doors let the people in the main room look into them. For some reason, his first thought was ‘it’s like a zoo.’ A bunch of terrariums for people to gawk at.
Which meant his stomach dropped when the guards started dragging him towards one of these smaller rooms. Inside he could see a table and two chairs across from each other, just like the setup in his room. “Wh-what is t’is?” Marvin asked, voice cracking slightly. “What are you goin’ t’do to me?!”
The guards remained silent. The one with the keycard pulled it out again, scanning it on a spot next to the glass door. There was a beep, and another guard reached forward to slide it open while the other two dragged Marvin into the room. They forcefully sat him down on one of the chairs and grabbed his arms, shoving his hands down on the table. There was a pair of handcuffs attached to the surface. “H-hey, let’s—” he started to say, but while he was talking the guards already snapped the manacles onto his wrists. They were cold and tight. He tested the strength of them, but of course he wasn’t nearly strong enough to break the chain.
And then the guards left. But Marvin could see them still hovering around outside through the glass wall. No doubt doing their job and guarding him. But... there was no one else in sight. Nobody was here to observe whatever test was going to happen. There wasn’t even a camera in the room.
Marvin could only sit there and wonder.
———————
Anti had wondered when his sitting under the camera would draw attention. Well, it turned out, it didn’t take long. Or maybe the guards walking into the room were coincidental. Either way, he sat up straight when they appeared. “Subject, why are you sitting in the corner?” One asked.
“Trying to avoid you all staring at me,” Anti grumbled.
The three guards in the room exchanged glances. Then two of them walked forward and unceremoniously grabbed Anti, yanking him upwards. He growled, but fought the urge to struggle. He was trying to play nice to get on IRIS’s good side, wasn’t he? But it was hard to just stay quiet and let the guards manhandle him down the hallway.
They took him to the same room as last time, but now the setup was different. Instead of the U-shape of desks and that weird stone tablet in the center, there were about four loose desks all set up around a central chair with straps. Now that—that he couldn’t just go quietly into, as panic immediately kicked his fight or flight instinct into gear. Anti tried to struggle, pulling against the grip of the guards. And—he actually managed to pull an arm free! He wasn’t about to question it! He punched the other guard in the face and bolted forward.
But then—
Something pierced his side and a jolt of pain spread outwards from that spot. Anti screamed, recognizing the feeling. A taser! No! He had to—get away!
He threw himself forward, but only managed to crash into one of the desks, jittering on the floor aimlessly. Some junk from the desk fell to the ground around him. A few pens, a set of keys, some paperclips, and... one of those L-shaped bits of metal, what were they called? An allen wrench.
As the pain from the shock faded, and the guards bent down to grab Anti, an idea hit him. He scrambled forwards, pretending that he was trying to get away from the guards, but while he was moving he put his hand on top of the allen wrench and quickly curled his fingers around it. Maybe this was the tool he needed! It’d be better than trying to mess with the camera with his bare hands, at least.
The guards grabbed him, hoisting him up and pulling him towards the chair with straps in the center of the room. And that’s when Anti realized he couldn’t just hold the wrench in his hand the whole time. They’d notice it! And he could let go of it and lose it easily!  His mind scrambled for a solution to this, and the answer it reached might’ve been less than ideal. Anti pulled his arm free again and ducked his head, pretending like he was gearing up for a big escape attempt—but actually shoved the wrench in his mouth.
Smack! One of the guards hit him in the side of the head. Anti cried out—but managed to keep the wrench hidden, partially beneath his tongue. Good. Good, that’s... all he needed. He could slump into the chair now. He didn’t even have the energy to bristle indignantly when the guards pulled the straps across his wrists and chest.
He leaned back, breathing slowly. Okay. He just needed to make it through whatever they had planned for him. He saw a door on the side of the room open and some people in white coats walk in and over to the desks. One of them grumbled something and bent over, scooping up the junk that Anti had knocked over in his struggle. He waited, tense, but the scientist didn’t seem to notice the missing wrench. And neither did the guards or any of the other scientists. They were all busy starting out their test, flipping switches and pressing buttons on strange instruments sitting on the desks.
Anti closed his eyes. He didn’t want to know what they were doing. Even as a strange humming sound started up, he didn’t want to know. He just had to endure whatever was going to happen now.
———————
Marvin felt like he’d been waiting in the room for hours. He’d fiddled with the chains on the handcuffs repeatedly, but found there was no wiggle room at all. The metal cuffs were basically skin tight, and he hated them.
As time passed, more people showed up in the other, bigger room. Most of them were wearing white coats: more scientists. Many of them gave him constant glances, and some stared at him outright. He resolved to not look at them in turn... but his nerves about this whole situation meant his eyes kept wandering in that direction, locking onto their every movement, despite what he actually wished.
But then, while watching—
“Jackie!” Marvin gasped.
The elevator doors opened and Jackie walked out, escorted by more guards. He saw Marvin shortly after Marvin saw him, and stumbled in surprise. The two of them stared at each other. They hadn’t seen each other once since they’d been taken to IRIS.
Then the guards, frustrated, grabbed Jackie and started pulling him towards the room where Marvin was sitting. He quickly started walking again, keeping pace with the guards. They took him to the room where Marvin was sitting, scanning the keycard and opening the door, walking in with him. “Marvin, are you alright?” Jackie asked hurriedly. “You’re not hurt or anything are you?!”
“No, Jackie, I’m fine,” Marvin reassured him. “I-I haven’t seen any of you, other t’an Anti. Are you alrigh’?”
“You saw Anti?” Jackie repeated. “I-I did too, for a moment, we both got moved to different rooms.”
“Yeah I heard t’at happenin’ nearby.”
“Dr. Parker, sit down,” said one of the guards.
Jackie glanced at them uneasily, but reluctantly sat down in the chair on the other side of the table. The guards picked up a second pair of handcuffs and chained him down as well. “I’m... fine by the way,” Jackie said quietly. “Just been stuck in a room for days. When did you see Anti?”
Marvin leaned forward. “T’ese bastards did somet’ing to us.” He explained the experiment as quickly as he could. While he did that, the guards retreated from the room, leaving just the two of them inside. Scientists in white coats wandered over, staring at the two of them through the window, holding clipboards and electronic tablets.
Jackie shivered. “That’s terrible.”
“I-I still don’ know why they did it,” Marvin said quietly.
“I’m guessing that weird tablet was somehow similar to Distorter,” Jackie said. “Or... the house on Aspen Street. They wanted to see how you’d react to something similar, since you a-and Anti were most... affected by Distorter.”
“Most affected?! You got trapped in there for nine focking months!”
Jackie smiled darkly. “Yeah... but that was a while ago, compared to you two.”
Marvin nodded. “I s’ppose... w-well, anyt’ing else you have to share?”
“I saw that this is the top floor of five, so our cells are probably on the ground to third floor,” Jackie said. “Or there might be a basement, but I doubt that we’re on that floor. That might be where Volt and JJ are, though.”
“Okay... so—”
A screeching sound filled the room. Jackie winced, and Marvin cried out and tried to cover his ears, but his arms couldn’t move that far while chained to the table. What was that? Some sort of... feedback?
“Hello Dr. Parker,” a voice said from an intercom.
Jackie started. “Daniel?”
“You know t’at voice?” Marvin asked, surprised.
“K-kinda, vaguely,” Jackie said. “From when I was uh... employed here. We talked a couple times.”
“Enough times t’be on a first-name basis?”
“Dr. Parker, IRIS is very disappointed in you,” Daniel continued. “We had offered you a way to help everyone, but you rejected it, lying to our faces.”
Jackie stiffened. “Shiiiit.”
“Huh? What?” Marvin looked around. The scientists on the other side of the glass walls gave no acknowledgement to them. But they had to hear what was happening, right? This glass didn’t seem soundproof.
“During our talk this morning, you denied all knowledge of the anomalous cards found on Mr. Moore’s person. But this was clearly a falsehood.”
“They asked you about my cards?!” Marvin gasped.
“IRIS is very disappointed,” Daniel repeated. “You could have helped us in so much.”
“V-vague promises of help aren’t enough to sway me,” Jackie said nervously.
Part of the ceiling lowered, a circular glass tube. Inside of it was—
“My cards!” Marvin gasped. He stood up and reached for them, but they remained above his head, well out of reach of his chained hand
“The room you’re in is currently being monitored for signs of any anomalies,” Daniel said. “If something strange happens, we will know. And if it’s something dangerous, we have the ability to stop it.” The bottom of the glass tube slid open and the cards fluttered down to the table—luckily none of them fell off the table and all landed on the surface. “You two are going to show some examples of how these cards work.”
Marvin blinked. “Um... well, we... we don’ exactly know...” It wasn’t a lie, was it? The cards had almost infinite possible ways they could be arranged, and he didn’t remember most of them.
“Then you will figure it out,” Daniel said calmly.
Jackie pulled at the handcuffs attaching him to the table. He looked at Marvin. “Um... sorry,” he said.
“Sorry?”
“I shouldn’t have said anything about the cards at all, but I—I thought—I-I don’t know what I thought, I guess I just... maybe they would leave us alone? I-I don’t know. I didn’t want to say anything but I thought they wouldn’t leave me alone... but I should’ve known they would find out I was hiding something.”
“What? Are you sayin’ t’is wouldn’ be happenin’ if ye kept your mouth shut?” Marvin gestured at the room around them. “Pretty sure it would happen anyway.”
“...still.” Jackie shook his head. “I don’t know. I can’t help but feel like I fucked something up.”
Marvin laughed. “Honestly, it’s possible ye jus’ got yourself in trouble wit’ t’at.”
“...yeaaah.” Jackie pursed his lips. “Well, uh... are we going to do what they asked? Figure out what your cards do?”
Marvin glanced at the scientists. They were poised to take notes. “Well... what happens if we don’?”
At that moment, both sets of cuffs started glowing white. Pain jolted up Marvin’s wrists and he shouted out. Jackie also let out a short scream.
“The less you cooperate, the higher intensity the electric shocks will be,” Daniel said calmly.
“Wh-what the fuck?” Jackie gasped. “Just—j-just completely dropping the pretense, are we? I’m not g-going to help or join any company that shocks people into compliance!”
“If either of you try anything, the other will also be shocked in turn,” Daniel continued.
“F-fun,” Marvin commented. “T’at’s probably why you’re here, Jackie. Leverage.”
“Fun,” Jackie repeated, going pale. “So... now what?”
“We coul’ continue to resist, if we wanted,” Marvin said. “But... I-I don’ know how long we could hold out. Maybe we coul’ just... try... messing wit’ the cards? Maybe we’ll find somet’ing helpful.”
Jackie nodded slowly. He looked down at the cards and took a deep breath. “Alright.” He started flipping the cards over so they were all face-down, the runes on their backs visible. “But you know they’re watching us.” He jerked his head to the side, towards the glass door. “Anything we know, they’ll know.”
Marvin nodded slowly. “But... what else can we do righ’ now?”
“I-I don’t... know...” Jackie sighed. “I’m not... good in these sorts of situations... I-I’m not a fighter like Anti, or Schneep, or even you.”
“I’m flattered t’at you t’ink I’m a fighter,” Marvin said. He also began sorting out the cards, recognizing each rune and recalling what they do. Idly, he started looking for ways they could match up.
“You are.” Jackie nodded. “You have this fire in you that I just don’t have.”
“You have a fire too, Jackie. I don’ t’ink anyone will blame you for not puttin’ it towards fightin’ t’ese guys. We’re jus’ normal people, you know. We’re jus’... doin’ our best to endure t’is. Like we have been for so long.”
Jackie didn’t reply right away. The two of them started making patterns with the cards. None of them seemed to do anything. There were a couple that gave off a few flashes of light, causing the two of them to tense and the scientists outside to lean closer with their clipboards, but there were no obvious effects. “...I’m tired, Marvin,” Jackie whispered. “I feel like I’m losing my mind, I want to do something, but at the same time, I’m so tired.”
Marvin nodded. “I’m tired, too. It can’ have been too long in here, but I’m tired. I t’ink we’re not meant to be in a constant state of ‘desperate to escape’.”
Jackie laughed. “No, no we’re not.”
“But we can’ give up, y’know,” Marvin continued. “We have people outside waitin’ for us. No matter how distant they feel righ’ now.” He pushed some more cards into place. “We have to keep goin’, for them, and for Jems, Anti, Schneep—for all of—”
Everything turned fuzzy.
Marvin blinked. Did something get in his eye...? He reached up to rub his eyes... and realized something. He wasn’t fuzzy. His body was totally clear. It was just the world around him that was strangely out of focus. This realization was followed by the subsequent realization that he had somehow slipped out of the handcuffs. “Jackie!” he gasped. “I’m out!” He shot to his feet.
Jackie didn’t move. Jackie didn’t look up. And the scientists outside the glass door didn’t react, either. Marvin blinked. He walked over towards the glass wall. One of the scientists was pulling a strange facial expression, like they were in the middle of a sneeze. Was that... exactly what was happening? Did time freeze around him?
Marvin looked back at the cards on the table. He hadn’t been going for any specific pattern. It looked like several of them had been pushed into a vague circle. He leaned closer, trying to remember what runes were on the back—
But then suddenly he was back in the chair, cuffs around his wrists again. He gasped as the world became clear again.
Jackie’s head snapped up. “Marvin?! Are you okay?!”
“I-I’m fine, I—” Marvin looked around. What was that? He looked down at the cards again...wait a minute. Those were new. Or, not new, but they weren’t there before. The joker cards.
Jackie followed his gaze. “Oh!” He started. “What’re those ones? With the spiral runes?”
“T’ose are the joker cards,” Marvin explained. “But... what’re they doin’ here? They were in some separate room before...”
“Huh?”
“Oh, I tried to escape and found them t’ere,” Marvin explained. “Doin’ t’is weird ‘swirling around each other’ t’ing. Why are they here now?”
Suddenly, the glass door slid open and guards rushed in, surrounding the two of them. Marvin yelped in surprise as they grabbed him and pulled him away from the cards, causing the cuffs to dig into his skin as they yanked his arms forward. “Hey, what?!” Jackie shouted as they did the same to him. Two guards stepped forward and unlocked the handcuffs, then a couple more pulled their arms back.
“J-Jackie!” Marvin shouted as the guards dragged him out of the room. “Jackie!”
“Marvin!” Jackie struggled against the guards holding him back. “D-don’t panic! You—you must’ve done something! Th-that could be good!” The glass door slid closed, separating them, but Marvin could still hear Jackie shouting. “Just hang on! We’ll get through this together!”
“Y-yeah!” Marvin nodded, trying to dig in his heels. He could hear some of the scientists muttering something. What were they talking about? Something about something synchronizing? The “feed” from some sort of camera? Were they monitoring something else at the same time as they were watching Marvin and Jackie. “I’ll see you again, Jackie! I promise!”
“I’ll see you!” Jackie shouted.
Then the guards dragged Marvin into the elevator and the doors slid shut.

Bite the Hand - Van/Fem!reader
Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Chapter 1, chapter 3, masterlist
Summary: R tries to sort through` her complex thoughts and hangs out with Lottie.
Warnings: reader has like serious comphet and eternalized homophobia for the first bit of this, reader also has religious trauma and shity parents (who even has good parents in this show lmao), regular yellowjackets violence, this is also gonna be like the slowest of slow burns
A/n: This chapter ended up being way shorter than planned but its better this way. Also chapter 3 might take a hot minute to come out because I move out on Saturday… but I’m hoping to get a one shot out sometime this week.
Word Count: 1900
I enter the change room sweaty and exhausted. I head to my locker when I see Van, who is violently shoving her stuff in her bag. I walk up to her.
“Hey, can we talk-“ I start before pushes past me zipping her bag as she leaves the changing room without a word.
“Ooooo what did you do?” Mari singsonged while she strutted over to her locker.
“Leave it, Mari,” Lottie answered for me. “Whatever happened is none of our business.”
“Actually I think it is our business, I mean we are a team and if this is going to affect how we play-“ Jackie said clearly wanting the drama more than anything.
“It’s not going to affect how we play because Y/n is going to figure her shit out!” Tai slammed her locker shut and left not without giving me a dirty look.
Great now she is mad too. Everyone stared slightly shocked by Taissa’s outburst. Before turning to make small talk to the person next to them. I started to quickly pack up my stuff, I just wanted to go home and cry, how did today end up such a mess? Shauna stopped me on the way out the door.
“Van’s never one to stay mad for long, I'm sure if you talk to her you can work it out.” She gave me a small smile.
“Thanks, Shauna.” I returned her smile before heading out the door and walking to the parking lot. My head is spinning, between Tai’s outburst and Shauna’s words of encouragement I feel more confused than ever. I know I messed up but I have no idea how to even go about fixing this. After a few minutes, Lottie joined me unlocking her car.
“Sorry for taking so long.” She apologized while throwing our bags in the trunk.
“No worries,” I mumbled getting into the passenger seat of the car. As Lottie drove I watched the buildings and scenery zip away as we passed as my thoughts continued to spiral.
“So, not to pry but if you wanna talk I’m here.” Lottie broke the silence between us before turning the radio down a bit.
“I’m not even sure what to say Lot, I just know I messed up. I kept saying all the wrong things but the worst part is my parents would be proud of me. If they ever found out that-“ I couldn’t even bring myself to say it. I pause for a second before restarting. “l need to apologize or at least just try to explain myself better but she won’t even speak to me.”
“I’m sure she’s just cooling down, When she’s ready to talk she’ll come to you, just be ready to listen when she does.”
I hummed in response. A comfortable silence fell between us. I fidget with my hands as I go back to looking out the window. I keep telling myself that Lottie is right, plus she always has good intuition with these things.
Lottie dropped me off saying that we could still make cookies later if I was feeling up to it before driving away. I walked in the door and started taking my shoes off. Loud barks sounded through the house as Charlie ran up to me.
“Who’s the cutest boy ever!” I coo at him as he said hello. Charlie had been a gift to me from my Uncle when I was 13. I’ll never forget my Uncle bursting through the front door yelling Happy Birthday with a tiny little ball of golden fur in his arms. Despite my parents not even calling that day it was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had and though my Uncle has never said it out loud, I can tell he’s always been worried that my parents aren’t home, so I think Charlie was a way for him to always make sure I wasn’t lonely or bored.
My summers with my Uncle and cousins are always my favourite time of the whole year. Getting to go fishing and helping my cousins on the farm just feeling free.
I took off my shoes and went to my bedroom. I was in desperate need of a shower after today's practice. After, as much as I didn’t want to, I had calc test to study for. I pushed play on my cassette player before sitting and pulling out my notebook.
I physically paused when I realized what was playing. It was the mix Van had brought me the last time she was over. I took in a shaky breath trying to get a grip. I opened my textbook and started my homework regardless of the fact that I was completely distracted.
“Fuck”. I pushed my chair away from my desk and stood up. I swear if I look at one more math problem my head's gonna explode. I look at the clock on my nightstand.
4:17
Two hours since Lottie dropped me off.
“Yeah, that’s definitely enough math for today.” I sighed packing up my stuff before grabbing my telephone off the nightstand and dialling Lottie.
It rang for a moment before she answered.
“Hi.”
“Hey Lottie, should I come over for dinner?”
“Sure, I’ll let Ms. Abby know.”
The Mathew’s maid/hired help Ms. Abby is a very sweet woman and you can see how grateful she is every time I come over, though she would never say I think she worries about Lottie being on her own. My parents fired our permanent maid when I turned 16 stating that I no longer needed a babysitter. Though we still have people come and tend to the yard and house I hate how lonely it gets.
“Thanks, Lot, see you soon,” I say. Lottie says her goodbye before we hang up. I start to get ready packing a small bag with a few things and changing into some jean shorts.
I get to Lotties fairly quickly. We eat dinner and make cookies even if they look horribly misshapen.
We sit on the massive couch in Lottie's basement dimly lit by the TV, wrapped in excessive amounts of blanket. The cookies besides their odd shape are delicious. I grabbed a random tape to put on and it happened to be Jumangi. It had come out in theatres last year and we (Jackie) decided we needed to do some more out-of-practice bonding and Jumangi was the only movie playing with a low enough rating so Laura Lee could come with us. I remember it like it was yesterday giggling and plotting with Van to sneak Laura Lee into a rated R movie even though her parents would never let us hear the end of it. Jackie didn’t let us go through with it but it still made me smile thinking about it.
About halfway through Lottie broke the silence.
“Y/n… would your parents even be around enough to find out if you and Van were…” She let herself trail off. I’ve never truly told Lottie about…me, but she figured it out. She probably knew before I did. At a sleepover last year after Becky’s Halloween party she rolled to face me and whispered into the dark bedroom that she’s my best friend and she’ll always love and support me. I didn’t know what to say then, and I still have trouble even admitting it out loud now.
“I-“ The words seemed to catch in my throat. It’s not like I haven’t thought about it before. Running around in secret with Van. “I’m just scared Lot,” I whisper the confession over the TV. “God... I wish I wasn’t so scared of them, I mean you’re right they wouldn’t even be around enough to know, so why do they get to control me.” I grumble. Me and Lottie have talked about them many times. Our shity parents with their shity rules and expectations that they don’t even bother to stick around and enforce.
“They can only control you if you let them.” Lottie points out.
“You’re one to talk.”
She grabs the pillow and whacks me on the side of the head before erupting into a fit of giggles.
“Oh, it’s SOOOO on!” I laugh grabbing the pillow behind my head.
I drove back from Lottie’s rather late for a school night. ‘Black Hole Sun’ plays quietly as the streetlights zip by. The last time I heard this song in the car was during the ride home from Becky’s party.
I hum as the coolness seeps into my cheek as I rest it on the backseat window. The streetlights pass zip past us like shooting stars. My bones seem to vibrate with the cords of the song. I close my eyes taking a moment to relish in the drunk ride home. Swaying side to side to the chorus of ‘Black Hole Sun’. I feel her weight as she scooches closer practically laying on my side.
“Y/nnnn.” Van pokes my cheek with a drunk whisper. I crack one of my eyes open to see her smiling up at me.
“Vannn.” I singsong back.
“Whatcha looking at.”
“The lights… they are so pretty,” I mumble looking back out at them. They seem to be moving faster like they are spinning around the car.
“The prettiest.” I look to see Van looking directly at me completely ignoring the lights and suddenly it's the funniest thing that's ever happened to me. I’m starting to think I maybe shouldn’t shared that joint with Nat. I sit up and Van slides up with me. The car is really spinning now like some twisted carnival ride. I grab onto Van to try to stabilize myself. I accidentally grabbed her thigh.
“Woah!” She laughs. “Buy a girl dinner first.” It’s only then she sees the look on my face. “Uhhh, Tai!” She calls up to Tai who’s dding and has had to deal with us all night.
“What?” She answers turning down the music.
“I think you gotta pull over” Van warns.
“I think I’m gonna be sick,” I say way louder than I mean to.
As Tai quickly pulls the car over Lottie wakes up in the passenger seat.
“What’s goin'-“ I don’t hear the rest of what she says as I whip open my door and run down behind the car.
The memory bounces around my head. God I had been so embarrassed that Van had to hold my hair back. It makes sense that Lot tried to talk to me when we got back that night. Me and Van had been inseparable the whole party. I pull into the garage of my house as I continue to reminisce. I think of all the parties, the ones me and Lot snuck into in our Junior year where me and Van were always a little too close. All the times we snuck away to a quiet room and shared stolen kisses. All the times she cast her eyes down and pretended not to be hurt when I told her that we were just friends. The way her eyes would follow me around the room as I pretended not to notice or stare back when she wasn’t looking. I think about the way she looked today. Her face set and strong but her eyes so full of sadness and longing. It made me sick to my stomach. I tried to push the memory away. I need sleep.

it's just a tattoo
sparbossa!! tw! mention of rape and drugs! and sex!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i sat on the railing, and stared at the ocean. it was a quiet night... almost too quiet. i grabed my sketchbook, looked for an empty page, and started to sketch some medusa tattoo ideas. i had one myself. i got it when i was 12. i got it after slazar visited our bar for the first time. he put drugs into my drink, and draged me in a broom room. after that i was never the same... i was alowed to take some days off, and it took me one year to learn how to deal with this experince. i can live with it, but i never forget. "aye jack" i turned around and looked at hector. "ah. hello hector! how are ya feeling tonight?" he leand next to me on the railing, and looked into the night sky "ah wonder... why do ya stay awake for so long lately?" i didn't answer, and tried to ignore him. but he started to talk again. "do ya want to go inside?" i looked at hector, and sighed. we used to sleep with eachother before he betreyed me. we agreed to stay just for sex together. i didn't tell him that i got feelings for him, but it all changed anyway. i looked at him and smiled a little. "why not?" i got off the railing, and folowed hector inside. "do ya want to change in an extra room?" i thinked for a momend. i nodded and walked to the next room and closed the door behind me. i changed and walked back out of the room and looked at hector, he was standing there, and looked at me. "and? wanna repeat the fun we had in the past?" he asked. i just stared at him. in the past, i knew he would never look closely at my stomach... but now... he was much more alert. if he sees my stomach, then he will see my medusa tattoo, and then he will make fun of me, or call me weak. "ah... am not sure. i think i just go to sleep" i turned around, and hoped that he would leave me alone, but he grabed my hand, and pulled me into bed. "what's up with ya? since when are ya so picky?" i started to pout and smacked his arm a little. "am not 'picky'! am just careful!" he looked at me, and started to laugh a bit. "sure. and am a girl" i rolled my eyes and turned away. he grabed me again, and got on top of me. "hector. stop" he just smiled at me. "aww... am i not good enough for ya anymore?" i kicked him in the stomach, and sat up. hector held his stomach in pain, and for some minutes, there were silence. "you're... serious?" i turned to hector again. "what's wrong?" he sudenly asked, and sat up as well. "it's... complicated... i don't want to talk about it" he sighed and looked at me for a while. "jack. ya had never problems with us before. i thought ya forgave me?" "it's not that hector. i... don't want ya to see a certain scar on my stomach" "a scar? ya have tons of scars jack! ya never overreacted of some scars!" i looked away from him. hector pulled me back into bed once more, and looked into my eyes. "what scar is it? where did ya get it from?" i didn't say anything, and just stared at him. he sighed, and leaned over me. i suddnely felt how a hand squeezed my hip, and i immediately started to giggle. "hehector! stohohohop!" i could see that hector had a smug smile on his face. " 'stop'? why? ya seem to be pretty happy at the momend" his hand moved to my sides, and i tried my best not to kick him by accident. he stoped. and stared at me with a smile. "ya said the scar is on yar stomach right?" i felt how my blood run cold."ah... well..." he moved his hands under my shirt, and started to scrible all over my stomach. i squealed and nearly hit him with my leg. "NAhaHA!!! HecTORhrhRHR! STAHAHAHAP!!" "what was that jacki? i can't unserstand you when you're laughing so much" i didn't if i should hate him, or if i should thank him. I haven'd laughed so hard after... That day. "WAHAHAIIT!" he started to laugh along with me, and moved a bit more to my hip again. I felt how the tickling stoped, and i looked at him. "and? Will ya tell me now what that scar is?" "a-alright... I-i show you"

Hello, I am the same anon. I am not Jackie hater,i just think she is self centered person 🤷‍♀️.In my opinion the difference between Jackie and Lottie's dream is that Jackie wants to be cared for, to be loved by her "friends", but she doesn't do the same for others, and Lottie serves others without expecting anything in return.but correct me if i'm wrong
hi anon, thanks for clarifying. i guess i just decided i disagreed with you and didn't really feel like getting into all the reasons why because i feel like it's been said before and i'd just be reinventing the wheel here by saying it all again. i also honestly found it kind of difficult to tell whether the ask was in good faith or just trying to get a reaction, which put me off from answering it.
but if you truly want my thoughts, i'll get into it as briefly as i can (which will probably still be lengthy).
Tumblr media
technically you're not wrong. jackie does often behave in self centered ways, and she does want shauna to say she loves her, and she did never say it to shauna (not that we saw, at least). but i think this is just missing some context and nuance, like that jackie's self-centeredness, while real and definitely harmful, comes from a place of insecurity that she is unable to control.
i'm also a little puzzled by the idea that wanting shauna to tell her she loves her is a sign that she is self centered. yes, she never said it to shauna (again, not that we saw. there's more to their relationship than we got on screen, and of course it's significant that we never saw jackie say she loves shauna, but if you pull the thread a little further, you can probably imagine there are reasons why she didn't/couldn't - maybe it feels too real to her? maybe she's uncomfortable exposing her feelings like that?). but i dont really see that as an indicator of jackie's selfishness.
and yes, jackie wanted shauna to love her so desperately that she often sought that love in toxic ways. i am not like, on the bandwagon that jackie never did anything wrong. i think she's often shortsighted and can be a jerk. but as with every character on the show theres more to it than her just "being self centered" as if it's some immutable personality trait that sprung up out of nowhere.
as for your point about lottie serving without expecting anything in return, while jackie expects to be loved without offering anything in return...again i think i can sort of see where you got that from, i just disagree. i think in the pilot jackie showed clear signs of caring for the other girls, and imo as much as jackie wants to be loved, she also wants TO LOVE. i feel like that is kind of at the core of her personality. i think she would love to be given an opportunity to love shauna without having to hold back. i think she would also love to love the other girls, but she's insecure/doesn't have a strong identity, so she doesn't feel confident enough to love like that because it's just too vulnerable. and by the time they get to the wilderness things have changed so completely and she has no idea where she stands anymore, so she retreats and lashes out.
so im sorry for leaving you hanging. i hope this clarifies my position a little. again, technically, i dont think you're "wrong", but i do think it's not as simple as you make it sound.

I'm not really familiar with Enneagram, but curious what this is about it with demonic history? If you're interested in sharing?
Hello! Sorry this took a couple of days, I've been traveling and wanted to sit down and answer this on my computer rather than mobile.
So first things first. This two-parter podcast really breaks it down well:
(also available on spotify, etc.)
It's particularly good because they interview Marcia Montenegro, who is someone that came out of New Age/Occultic practices and became a believer. She has a whole ministry now that helps those who come out of the New Age and to combat some of the general things (like the Enneagram and astrology) that have permeated our culture. You can find her website here. This article specifically talks about the origins.
So the first thing you need to know is the whole concept is a product of mysticism. The second thing you need to know is the types, specifically, came about from a process that included automatic writing, where a person allows spirits to communicate through them. The last nail in the coffin is that it was brought into Christian circles through Richard Rohr, a false teacher.
All this to say, my personal approach is to tell people the information, and let it marinate with them. Even point them to these resources. (I also think Alisa Childers has done some stuff on this). For me, as soon as I heard that the origin story wasn't exaggerated, and the mysticism behind it meant that there was a very real spiritual element to it, I just stopped cold turkey relating to it. I know my type and my wing and whatnot, I just don't even bother with it anymore. For other people it can take longer. But I don't really know of anyone who looks into it for themselves that settles on "This is fine".
This is different from yoga for me (other people disagree, but it's fine). If I do a child's pose or downward dog or whatever for a stretch after a workout, I'm not inviting demons into my life. I am stretching. The problem comes when you go to a yoga class, do the meditations and empty your mind, and purpose the poses to let the energy flow through you or whatever. Enneagram, on the other hand, is meant to be a tool to define and understand your "self" and your personality. It's all-consuming, there's nothing you can really separate from it to put in a different context. It directly involves the mind and spirit. You are defining yourself through means outside of scripture.
So, that's my lil' take on the matter. I'm not gonna claim someone isn't a believer because they integrate the Enneagram into their life. Especially because most people are unaware of the origins. Also, people in the west have a vast underestimation of spiritual warfare and how general "spirituality" has a darkness to it because of its New Age/Eastern Religion/Occultic origins. It's a sanctification process that people just have to go through and look into on their own, like Jackie Hill Perry has now done.
Anywho. Hope that helps!

Waves im here with a prompt! Race asking Jack's advice about something
Hello! Thank you, hope you enjoy :) they are best friends
“Jack, I need advice.”
Jack didn’t know how Race got into Medda’s theatre before official opening hours without her letting him in, and frankly he was too afraid to find out.
The more pressing fear however was the fact that Race had made him jump so hard he almost fell off the ladder he was using to reach the top of an old backdrop and repaint a cloud that had been bothering him every time he looked at it.
“I’m a little busy Racer.”
“Yeah. With giving me advice.”
It never took Race long to make Jack give up whatever activity he was doing to provide him with attention. Actually, he wasn’t all that different from the cat Mush had snuck into the Lodging house a couple months back, now that he thought about it.
He started to climb down the ladder, tucking his paintbrush into the already paint splattered apron he was wearing.
“You’re insufferable y’know that.”
“Oh big word, learn that one from Dave?’
Jack hit him over the back of the head with his hat as he jumped the last couple of steps, rolling his eyes and then threw an arm across Race’s shoulder before he could try and make an escape, dragging him to his side and grinning at Race’s attempts to shove him off before quickly giving up and accepting his fate as Jack’s arm rest, a role usually reserved for Davey.
“Yeah, but that ain’t the point.”
“So that advice I need.”
Jack rolled his eyes again,
(and y’know what? Race was beginning to think he was spending too much time around Davey if he was honest, if Jack was picking up his habits this much, it couldn’t be healthy)
“What about it?”
“You get the odd nightmare right Jackie?” He frowned, “Don’t answer that. You’ll lie n’ I know for a fact you will, so better question, how do ya fall back asleep after a nightmare.” He tried to pull away from the weight of Jacks arms around his shoulder and failed. “I ain’t been sleeping so good lately n’ I don’t want to ask any of the other fella’s and-“
“You talks a lot when your pride’s hurt.”
“Mentioning a man’s pride is a low blow Jack n’ you know it.”
He pulled Race impossibly closer, veering on a headlock and ruffled his hair with his free hand as he spoke, grinning and far too proud of himself.
“My advice is to not think about it. Think about something else instead.”
Race attempted to twist out of his grasp. “What like Sante Fe?”
Jack’s next goal was to make use of the paint coated paintbrush in his apron pocket. “Alright, now who’s going for low blows.”
“Cowboy, if you cover me in paint I ain’t ever forgiving you.”
“All’s fair in love and war.”
Race tried to twist away from him again, cheeks hurting from his attempts at not smiling as he tried to wrestle his way out of Jack’s iron grip. “You are spending-“ he twisted again, catching his breath. “Far too much time around Davey- who the hell said that?”
“Shakespeare, I think.” Jack made another attempt to grab his paintbrush without loosening his grip on Race. “I don’t know, sometimes he just talks and I have to sit there and pretend to listen otherwise he gets this look like a cat locked outside in the rain.”
“Hah!” Race’s hand closed around the paintbrush.
“Goddamn it Race-“ Race snorted as he admittedly somewhat aggressively trailed the paint end of the brush up Jack’s arm. It didn’t loosen his grip. “-I just washed my shirt.”
“50 cents says I win.”
Jack made an attempt at a grab for the brush, and Race made use of the advantage of an opening to twist an arm out.
“50 cents says I tell Kid you’re the one who stole the sandwich he was saving,” Jack shot back.
“Thought we were meant to be like brothers Jack- close as thieves n’ all that.”
“Yeah that was ‘fore-“ he lurched forward, missing the brush narrowly, “you got paint on my shirt.”
“You started it.” Race grinned as he was able to move his arm fast enough to line a blob of baby blue paint directly down the side of Jack’s face, “I was just lookin’ some brotherly advice.”

Out of context tibit from my fic
Or William and Henry freak out over a fox
William wiped his brow. His breathing was heavy wrestling his son into this cage. This is the third time this has happened, and he is trying his best to get his son to understand that the skin is his and he has to use it. He looks over to his partner, who is fanning himself. "I hope it isn't too long now." He flinched as his son bangs against the cage and tried to get out.
"Don't worry, Micheal is fine. He'll just tire himself out and sleep it off." Henry cracks his back. "Next time, I'm getting him a harness."
......
Micheal shakes as he crawls out of a burrow. He must have gone feral again. How many times did he have to say this skin isn't his. He stretches and yawns. He's in the middle of the woods, which is fine it's better to traverse as a fox because he doesn't remember if he was wearing shoes or not.
He jumps through mud puddles and leaves as he wanders through the woods back home. He sees a clearing he's familiar with and runs over stopping on a stump. He tilts his head. What was his father and uncle doing?
Micheal jumps off the stump and gets closer, realizing a different fox was in the cage and he was eating out of his bowl, and the meat smelled really good.
He growls. This is his territory, not this random fox. Micheal stopped. No, he wasn't an animal, but he was annoyed. How could his own father not realize that it wasn't him. He whines and runs in between the houses and down the street.
He stops at a familiar house and scratches on the door.
The door swings open, nearly hitting Micheal before he jumps away. "Oh, hello? ....ah Micheal?" Jackie crouches down as Micheal slowly approaches her.
Micheal nods and licks his nose. He moves past her into the home.
"Jeremy's in his room, but I'm happy to see you use your skin." Jackie gets up and smiles. "Oh, I'll make you a special meal. Want your red bowl?"
Micheal nods. He moves deeper into the house and squeezes into the open door crack and climbs on the teen inside.
"Hey, hey!" Jeremy huffs grabbing Micheal. "Oh, Micheal. I thought your cat got out. Today's a fox day?"
Micheal yips and licks his face.
"Yeah, yeah, love you too." Jeremy smiles and puts Micheal on his lap. "Alright, want me to read to you? I'm going through medical textbooks."
Micheal looks up and licks his shirt as to answer yes.
"Ok, you weirdo." Jeremy chuckles, starting to read his textbook as Micheal gets comfy.
.....
"Henry, I'm really worried." William paces in front of the caged fox. "It never takes Micheal this long. It's been hours. Oh God, what if it's permanent? Henry, I don't want to lose my son."
"William, please relax." Henry tries in vain to comfort his partner. "I'm sure Micheal just got comfortable."
"But Hen, he doesn't like his skin." William covers his face. "I'm a terrible father. I should have asked more questions. I didn't know this was a risk." He starts to cry, and Henry rushes to hug him.
Both men don't hear the soft footsteps approaching them. Jeremy slurps at his flesh slushie in the summer heat. "Um, are you guys ok?"
"I'm a terrible father." William wails out. Hugging Henry tight, he cries harder.
"Right, well, I do have another question." Jeremy blinks, staring at the wild fox in the cage.
Henry takes a breath and lets William cry into his shoulder. "What is it, Jeremy?"
"Why do you have a wild fox in that cage?" Jeremy hums sipping on his drink. A large fox hangs around his neck, flicking his tail staring at the to men.
Henry pauses. "A wild fox, that's..... Micheal....." He pushes William off of him.
"Hen-Henry?" William sniffs, rubbing his eyes, turning to face Jeremy. "W-wait, Micheal?"
Jeremy hums. "Have you've been caring for a wild fox for like the past 5 hours? I really thought my mother had called you two."
William opens his mouth, eyes red from crying. He looks back to the fox in the cage, who was chewing on Micheal's favorite chew toy. "Well, I mean, uh..."
Micheal stretches and jumps off Jeremy's neck. He yawns and climbs onto his father.
William rubs his eyes. "God, I am a terrible father. I can't even recognize my own son." He can't help but giggle when Micheal licks the tears from his face.
Henry smiles softly. "We just caught a fox that isn't Micheal. We should probably get rabies shots now." He sighs. "I'll call Margaret at the hospital."
Jeremy hums. "To be fair, they look identical. Micheal is a common type of fox with his fur color and pattern. But yeah, you both need a rabies shot. Besides, Micheal's been chilling with me all day, and I had to give him a bath because he rolled around in the mud to spite me."
Micheal loudly cackles and wags his tail.
"You also probably owe him a new chew toy and a deep cleaning for that cage." Jeremy takes a loud sip. "And a new bowl for his food. Foxes can get quite territorial."
William pauses. "Bloody hell, we have to release this fox, and then go to the hospital, then go to the pet store."
Micheal cackles again and jumps back to Jeremy and hangs on his shoulder.
"I don't think Micheal wants to join us, William." Henry chuckles. "To be fair, we did just spend five hours with a wild fox."
William groans. "Micheal, I'm so sorry."
Jeremy smirks. "Don't worry, I'll watch him while you guys do your new to-do list. Come on, I think your soap is doing a special tonight."
Micheal curls up around Jeremy's neck and settles in.
William covers his face. "God, I feel like a bloody idiot."
Henry chuckles. "We both are idiots together."
"Henry, you're not helping." William groans, turning back to the fox in the cage. "Margaret's probably going to vaccinate us."
"Oh definitely, she's going to hold this over our head." Henry smiles and places his hand on William's shoulder. "But at least we'll be together."
William groans

Hello mutual! I know we haven't talked much, but I have been enjoying your fanfiction recommendations over at AO3. So I thought maybe: Trick or Treat!
Hello friend! For a treat, I have a a project that's currently on the back burner regarding Tentoo/Rose!
Sure, Rose had kissed him on the beach, but after the TARDIS dematerialized and the gravity of the situation set in, she dropped his hand — the hand he grew out of — and hadn’t spoken a word to him since.
In fact, Jackie did most of the talking on the zeppelin ride back into the city. Asking him questions about how different he is now, how he felt about the entire thing, if he was hungry. All he could do was numbly answer them and stare at Rose, who had situated himself an aisle up and across from him.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart,” Jackie cooed gently, rubbing his back. “It’s been a long day. Just give her some time.”
Give her some time.
He was giving her his entire life — and that somehow didn’t seem like enough. One heart, one lifetime, and seconds were being wasted in silence.
“I hope you’re right,” the Doctor muttered. Sighing, he rubbed his hands over his face while Jackie stood up to go and sit with Rose for a bit. He hoped that she was right. That this was just stressful and Rose needed some time to process the day. That things will look up after a good night’s sleep and a proper meal.
Send me "Trick or Treat" and I'll give you a little 3-sentence fic, drabble, headcanon, sneak-peek at a WIP, the last sentence they wrote, a new fic idea, random line from a fic, picture of my docs page, something I'm researching, behind-the-scenes info on a published fic, or something else! Just ask!

Hello Jackie! It’s race week! Are you excited? Because I sure am! F1 and F2 but no F3 😥 I’m sorry to hear about your anxiety, I hope things get better for you soon 💓 I am starting my last year of school (before university) this week and I feel excited, nostalgic, thankful and sad all at the same time haha. Actually can’t wait to graduate but also loathe the thought of not seeing my friends anymore. Mixed feelings…
I read about you possibly taking a break from university, I’m sorry to hear that. Can I ask why? Is it because you don’t find it fun anymore or? Hope you don’t worry about it too much, I’m sure everything will work out fine in the end. 😊 What’s the work you mentioned doing? Do you work a lot while also studying? Sorry if there’s too many questions, don’t feel forced to answer them all if it’s sensitive! I hope you’re having a good day, sending you love and hugs 🤗

hello sweets! it’s race week!!!!! very much needed for me because these last few days/weeks have been…. not the best personally 🙈 the only thing that’s good about having no F3 is not having to get up at 8 in the morning on a sunday to watch the feature lmao!
i totally get what you’re saying about school, it’s easy to feel all the feelings at once… i hope you get to enjoy your last year as much as possible 💗 do you have any plans for what you want to do after school? are you going to uni orrrr?
don’t worry about asking too many questions love! honestly i missed out on a class in the spring due to some things, but i need to pass that class to start my next year of uni… plus i’ve been thinking a lot about if this program really is the right thing for me. my teachers haven’t been very supportive or sports journalism, which is the thing i’m sure i want to do, so that sucks. the hardest thing is going to be telling my parents about it all… they have no idea 😵 and also figure out what i want to do with my life hahah. i do a few different types of small jobs, mostly sports jobs of different kinds. my maybe main thing is that i’m the head coach for a team of 14-year-old girls !! 🤭 it may not sound like a big thing and i don’t get paid a lot for it, but in september i will be spending almost 200 hours on the girls so it takes a lot of time 😅 but it’s sooo much fun, i love the girls !!!
you’re so right for saying that they’re one of the top couples on the grid 🥺 honestly they’re the top couple on any grid, in any group… just in the entire world? 🥰🥰
