Kissing Mordecai is like stepping out of a loud party and into the night. He's a step away from the busy world, a little token of calm in the midst of chaos. 

Loving Mordecai is complicated. Anyone close to him can tell that you're special to him, even if he doesn't express his affections traditionally. He doesn't hold your hand in public, but he does keep a hand on the small of your back in crowds. He doesn't leap up to greet you when you enter the room, but he always gravitates towards you throughout the night. And he won't seek out your affections whenever you wake up or leave the room… but when the day's been rough, and night blankets the bustling town his lips find your temple, soothing away the horrors of the day. And it's calm, filled with a tenderness reserved only for you. Only ever for you.

Kissing Mordecai is rare, saved for special occasions away from prying eyes. But that's what makes them so special. Truthfully, expressions like this are… foreign to him. Romance is complicated enough as is, but the whole concept of physical touch is… difficult, for lack of a better word. For the longest time he would startle at the accidental brush of shoulders -- so it's safe to say that your first kiss doesn't come for quite a while. You know him well enough that it's best to let him initiate, to let him go at his own pace. But that's more than alright. He has his own ways of showing his love. 

When he does kiss you, he tends to gravitate towards your wrists, temple, and forehead. And truthfully, he prefers the same. 

His eyes flutter shut as he presses his lips to the inside of your wrist, sighing quietly. His shoulders drop and his brows unfurrow, temporarily relieved of the outside world's burdens. Peace such as this outweighs the price of gold in droves. You've never quite been able to convey the tranquility that Mordecai always seems to bring with actions like this, but while he would never say it outloud… he feels the same. A lifetime of unspoken words are pressed into your skin before he reluctantly opens his eyes. He glances up at you half-lidded, squeezing your wrist. (I love you, his actions say.) Slowly, you turn your wrist in his grasp to cup his face, giving him plenty of time to pull away… but he doesn't. (I love you, his inaction says.) You press your lips to the center of his forehead gingerly, returning every quiet ounce of devotion in the few short seconds you're united. (I love you too, you think to yourself.)

Since the end of the election many SPN fans have been online (X) saying they’re cutting anyone who voted for Trump/Vance out of their lives.

They also have been biting at Misha after he posted on X about not engaging in hate towards others. Never ceases to amuse me when his beloved fans lose their minds on him if he doesn’t think and act the exact way they do.

My question is how likely do you think it is that Jensen faces backlash from fans? He appeared in that Lynda Carter hosted event to support Harris/Walz, it looked like a shit show and he seemed somewhat uninterested in being there, and he hasn’t posted anything since the election. He was also at Steve Carlson’s gig in LA last night and Steve is supposedly a Trumper.

I personally think cutting people from your life because of their political leanings is the wrong way to go. Civil, open dialogue is better but that’s just me.

I just wonder if you think Jensen will get any hate, especially from Hellers, about his lacklustre reaction and his friendship with a conservative. Then there’s Danneel who retweeted one of Misha’s pre-election tweets… that was the extent of her online “activism”. Does she qualify for hate from the ultra engaged, politically active and aware set?

I agree. Cutting people out of your life due to political leanings is unnecessary, however, I do get that at the moment it's coming from a place of helplessness and horror over the future. People are lashing out due to feeling powerless. Jensen is Jensen, he is a beyond privileged man who gets away with a ton of things simply because women fall at his feet. Due to this, he always does the bare minimum, just to check boxes. I seem to recall a comment he made "Just give them a picture with my face one it" (there is video of this, he was in an Impala at a CW event where Lucy Hale and others were present). In other words, I don't mean to be mean, but I don't expect much from him. He runs from anything that has to do with responsibility and only does things for clout ONLY if they are easy for him. Lazy and self centered, again, I don't mean to be mean but that's how he comes off. I hope I'm 150% wrong. I doubt he will get a lot of hate because he can do no wrong. Infatuation beats reality when it comes to Jensen.

Danneel, as always, follows whatever is trendy for clout, on her own she has no personality and no opinions, she can barely form sentences. What can we expect from a woman whose entire career rested solely on her fake bosom? Now that being said, no matter which side you belong to, I hope we all find ways to reach harmony and balance our perceptions. There are severe repercussions coming our way due to the result of the election and those who voted for Trump didn't do any research into any of that. They will learn from experience. We need to be united not divided, education is power. It's lack of education that has landed America in the position of voting for someone like Trump. I could go on and on but this blog is not the place for my critical thinking on this subject. To answer your question, I believe a certain part of fandom is set on hatred and will look for any reason to justify tearing into others. I'm not referring exclusively to hellers but to a general trend within fandom. People will do horrible things and hide behind their fandom loves. Let's just come out and admit it's not your ship that's driving you but your own instincts and desires. Don't use your love of X or Z as an excuse to tear into other people and be cruel. Civil discussion is more than possible, in fact, it can be enriching for both sides. Fanaticism is dangerous and we're about to learn just how dangerous it is thanks to our new President.

One dead, ten wounded following suspected drone strike in Tel Aviv, IDF investigating

During searches by emergency services, the body of a lifeless man was found in an apartment near the location of the explosion.

Israeli media reported a loud explosion on Ben Yehuda Street on the corner of Shalom Aleichem near the US Consulate in Tel Aviv early Friday morning.

During searches by emergency services, the body of a lifeless man in his 50s with shrapnel marks on his body was found in an apartment near the location of the explosion. Ten people were taken to hospital with minor wounds, according to Israeli media.

Police, fire, and rescue services were deployed to the area and told Israeli media that there was no fire. The source of the explosion is not yet known.

An IDF spokesperson announced that a preliminary investigation shows that the explosion in Tel Aviv "was caused by the fall of an aerial target, which did not trigger a warning."

According to the Saudi owned Al-Arabiya/al-Hadath channel, the United States intercepted a ballistic missile and three drones launched by the Houthis at Israel during on Friday night, but the fourth managed to hit Tel Aviv.

The IDF is continuing to investigate the explosion.

Residents who live near the place of the explosion say that objects were shattered in their houses as a result of the blast.

Soon after the attack, a leader of Yemen's Houthis, Hezam al-Asad tweeted "Tel Aviv" with a burning emoji. No official statement has been made by Israel regarding this connection.

The spokesman of Yemen's Houthis, Yahya Sarie, said on X, that the group will reveal details about a military operation that targeted Tel Aviv.

Magen David Adom reported that a 37-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were slightly injured, and they are fully conscious and were taken to the Ichilov Hospital with shrapnel injuries to their limbs and shoulder. In addition, four were being treated for shock at the scene.

MDA Spokesperson, Zaki Heller, later said "following a search of the area, an unconscious male was found in one of the nearby buildings with penetrating injuries. EMTs and Paramedics treated 8 casualties, including 4 with shrapnel and blast injuries, and 4 with anxiety symptoms."

The Home Front Command stated: "No aerial intrusion into the country's central area was detected, and therefore no alarm was triggered - the incident is under investigation."

The police said: "A short time ago, a report was received at the police headquarters about hearing an explosion in a building in Tel Aviv. Large forces of the Tel Aviv District Police and police engineers arrived at the scene."

The Mayor of Tel AVviv, Ron Huldai, posted on X: "The Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo is on heightened alert in light of the severe UAV incident tonight, in which one person was killed and others were injured. The war is still here, and it is hard and painful. The municipal forces arrived at the spot quickly and dealt with the incident, and we are prepared for developments, if any. I call on the public to obey gov't instructions."

Israel police stated that they rushed to the area after receiving hundreds of reports at around 03:00 am. 

They reported that the commander of the Tel Aviv District, Superintendent Peretz Omar Kaim, together with the commander of the Yarkon Region, Yehiel Bohdana, assessed the situation in the field with all the emergency and rescue forces.

They called on the residents to obey the directives of the Home Front Command, and to not touch the remnants of rockets that may contain explosives and to report this without delay to Moked 100.

I really, honest to gods, did not start this blog to be an anti. I know my anons would disagree with me and claim I always “hated” Danneel, but that just isn’t the truth. I came to Tumblr to find a new kind of social media as I was feeling soured by Facebook, disliked how Twitter had changed, escaped Livejournal years ago, not a fan of Reddit, and the “newer” social media sites weren’t my thing. Plus I’ve kept seeing hilarious screenshots from Tumblr on Facebook and decided to check it out!

I initially started by following pages about Supernatural, Sam and Dean Winchester, the actors Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. I did not go seeking anti-Danneel posts; they more or less fell into my lap. When I started reading a few posts, something clicked in my mind, explained why I was struggling with how I felt about her. I kept analyzing her behavior for a long while, what she said, and thought maybe something was being seen by fans that wasn’t being seen by me.

The explanations made sense. I felt I could breathe again. That’s when I remembered the least recognized method of abuse: emotional and mental. That fit Danneel to a T. Especially the more I looked into what she’s said and wrote over the years and saw how Jensen behaved around her in videos and photos. Even when they were supposedly trying to push the “happy couple” narrative, it just did not look true. Especially given Jensen’s talent as an actor! If he couldn’t even fake being happy or in love with her….

So I’m an Anti-Danneel. I’m also Anti-Misha for his behavior over the years, towards Jared, towards Jensen, the lies he’s peddled and keeps peddling. (For instance, no, Castiel would not have ‘fucked’ Dean upon pulling him out of Hell. No, CW was not being homophobic.)

I am absolutely very pro-Jared and pro-Jensen. I know, I know…. “But Raye, you’ve written posts criticizing Jensen! How can you be pro-Jensen??”

My answer is a variation of this: “Because I care! I am not blind to the flaws of either men! I am wildly concerned about Jensen, about what seems—to me—as excessive drinking, ‘empty’ eyes, unhappy and stressed smiles.”

For the vast majority of the AAs, it seems I’m not pro-Jensen if I don’t see him as flawless, a god upon the perfect pedestal, the Ken doll That breaks my heart. He is flawed. He is imperfect. I see more than just the pretty mask. I want to see and know the man. He isn’t just a beautiful trophy for us to ogle.

He’s caught in a rock and a hard place and I acknowledge that hard. It’s just only the negativity is seen and not the love and support. 😕

What can I tell you about me?

I could say so much. I’m the third child of a family of four kids, and the only daughter. (So that was fun.) I’m a gamer, read comics (still read a few, such as ElfQuest), got into reading fantasy books (Dragonlance’s War of the Lance was my first!), have a massive interest in psychology, in wanting to understand the human mind. I’m fluent in two languages—English and American Sign Language.

Ah, that last one might surprise some folks. No, I am not deaf—but my parents, two of my three brothers, and everyone on my mother’s side of the family are. I half-joke that my first language is ASL, not speaking with a voice. It’s not a joke though; it’s more or less accurate.

I’m a writer. I’m working on several screenplays, have plans for novels, dabble in poetry. I’m an amateur artist—have sketched with pencil and Photoshop. I haven’t done so in a while, but I love art. I do a lot under the creative umbrella, and most of it is as an amateur—photography, wishing to learn pottery, and so forth.

I’m a mother. I’m divorced (happily so, trust me). I have born children of my body and I have children of my heart. I have suffered loss deeply profound that I wish people would talk more about so we all realize we aren’t as alone as we fear.

I’m an advocate for better, stronger laws against abuse, of the protection and services for survivors. Largely because I’m a survivor, but also because I give a damn about people. I’ve experienced it all, starting from childhood to my (thankfully) now-ex-husband. I am hoping to start a series of reels explaining the red flags of abuse, how to recognize them, how to get out if you are in an abusive situation, and what organizations exist to contact for help (if any do exist). Keep an eye out for those when I start posting them!

Reverse unpopular opinion meme: multishipping!

An excuse to expound the virtues of multishipping? Is it Christmas??? Multishipping is GREAT, and I say this as someone who tends to get very OTP-focused and has only really been able to pull it off with Supernatural and now 9-1-1 (where it's...a little touch-and-go), so I know what I'm talking about.

It's good for you! Being invested in conflicting ships forces me to keep an open mind. From an interpretive standpoint, it helps me step back and read more critically (is this really a Destiel moment? where's the line between familial and incestuous? does Eddie still read as gay when I don't need him to get together with Buck?). From a transformative standpoint, the text is more elastic, there's more to play with, I'm more alive to different possibilities.

There's an art to this, but a diversified dash can be a real gift. I got to see Sastiel and Wincest fans claim the second pillow on Sam's bed in s15 with equal fervor. I got to watch Wincesties get mad at Hellers over an incident literally no Destiel blogs were talking about. It gives me a well-rounded perspective on the fandom and the show, plus I feel like a war correspondent bringing back news from the front. If you're careful about who you follow and ruthlessly block every "anti" tag, it can be really fun.

MORE FICS. I'd hate to live in a world where I didn't experience the horrors of both Gnaw and Every Part of the Animal because I refused to read one of the ships.

The part of my brain that wants to reconcile the ships gave me OT3s (Wincestiel and Buddietommy are both sooo good) AND a strong interest in gencest and queerplatonic Buddie (Dean and Cas can get together, but Dean has GOT to stay married to his brother). Polyamory! Non-traditional family units! It's all interesting.

I will add that I'm not equally invested in every ship all the time: post-November 5, there was no room in my life for anything but Destiel, but once I calmed down a little I could start engaging with more Wincest and Sastiel. So I'm trying not to worry about swinging hard toward Bucktommy lately - it doesn't have to mean I've abandoned Buddie, and the fics will still be there when I'm ready.
