4, 19, 29 from the couple questions, please!
4. How do they compare to each other's exes? Are they the same "type" or an upgrade/something different?
Well, for Chrissy, her only boyfriend before Eddie was Jason. So yes, certainly an upgrade to say the least. But, while the obvious answer is that Eddie shatters the mold of what would be considered her type, because Eddie and Jason could not be more different (especially aesthetically speaking) from one another… Chrissy actually still might have one in some ways.
Because, Jason and Eddie oddly do have a lot in common. (And not just the same taste in women 😝)
I don’t think they’re opposites so much as they are one anther’s antithesis. Two sides of the same coin, parallel chess pieces, the white and dark knight, etc…
They both have similar attractive qualities:
They’re the kings of their own respective kingdoms. Jason as the captain of the basketball team and king of Hawkins High. Eddie as the DM of Hellfire and the king of the freaks (the boy is literally sitting in a throne and no one crosses him).
They’re leaders. They both inspire and excite their underlings/followers.
They are both feared and respected, listened to and obeyed by those around them.
They’re performative. They have a commanding presence, they demand attention and can maintain an audience.
Before Jason goes nuts, they both look out for the younger members of their circle.
They’re physically attractive and charismatic, confident and strong, they draw people in.
There’s also similar negative traits too.
They both can be assholes when they don’t get what they want and when things don’t go their way.
I imagine they’re both jealous types.
They don’t like to be questioned or second guessed.
Their differences are who they truly are at their core. Eddie’s a good person, Jason is not. Eddie will choose others in the end, Jason will choose himself.
(I could talk about this for hours probably write a 100,000 word analysis, so I’ll stop and get back on point lol)
I think both Chrissy and Eddie are aware of this to some extent. Their differences are more obvious, but their similarities are still there.
For Eddie, I’m still developing his “exes” which are more numerous but way less serious than Chrissy’s three year relationship with Jason. I imagine most of the girls he was with before are very different from Chrissy (fiery, alternative, possibly a little mean 😬) but a few may have reminded him of her. Not as many and they wouldn’t have lasted as long because being similar to her, but not her was probably too difficult for him.
Overall, Chrissy is the first to really love him for who he really is and not who he pretends to be or what he can do for her. She’s so gentle with his heart and all his vulnerabilities that he’s never dared to share with anyone else. There is a strong devotion and affection between them that he has never known before. She sees all of him and believes in him.
19. What values do they not share? How do they reconcile those differences?
Answered that here.
29. Where is their relationship lacking? What could they do to improve it?
Nothing. They’re perfect.
Sorry, jk lol. They have a healthy, loving relationship as a whole, because they nurture it and work on any of their difficulties. But, I think sometimes they can lack communication. They both, Chrissy especially, can hide their hurt and burdens to try and spare the other. They can (and usually always eventually do) be more open about their feelings and confront problems rather than hide them from one another.
Thank you 😘😘😘

How are you in your 40s and shipping an underage girl with an adult man🤨
I'm so glad you asked Anon 🙄
Because I ship an 18 year old and a 20 year old. Chrissy is not underage. They are both consenting adults. Who also happen to be fictional characters. There are real actual humans in real actual relationships with far wider age gaps, but thank you for your high-horse-self-righteous and completely bullshit "hot take".
And yes, I'm in my 40's now, but I wasn't always. I was also once a teenager with a metalhead boyfriend. That's the beautiful thing about fiction my friend. It lets you explore many facets of the human condition.
So go be judgy elsewhere, you missed your mark with me.

the first time chrissy breaks smth at the trailer, maybe one of wayne’s mugs or smth, she’s spiraling like it’s the end of the world while eddie is like ???? baby things break all the time is this what living at the cunninghams is like
Crash!
Eddie jumped to his feet, snuffing his half-smoked cigarette and tripping over their hastily discarded clothes to grab boxers and rush toward the kitchen. Chrissy had just gotten up, pulling on his t-shirt with a shy smile over her shoulder after saying she wanted a glass of water. Eddie offered to get it (especially since her knees didn't seem to, uh, want to work properly, not that he was being particularly smug about that) but Chrissy insisted that she needed to stretch her legs.
Swinging around the doorway to the kitchen, he found Chrissy standing in the middle of the floor surrounded by tiny shrapnel shards of a mug. Sharp little landmines just waiting to dig into unsuspecting toes.
"Ah, shit," Eddie breathed, trying to assess the best path to her. "Don't–– Don't move, sweetness, one second, let me––"
He rushed into the living room before she could respond, yanking his Reeboks on and nearly falling on his ass when he tried to jump up too quickly. Laughing at himself, he walked back into the kitchen, trying to avoid the bulk of the ceramic and cringing at every slight crunch under his soles. Chrissy hadn't moved, her eyes down like she, too, was searching for a pathway among the mess.
"Alright, uh, just––" He hoisted her easily into his arms, protecting her bare feet by carrying her like Princess Buttercup through the fire swamp. Depositing her in the hallway, Eddie ducked past her, grabbing the broom and dustpan from the pantry. "Lemme clean this up, alright? You can, uh, go back to the bedroom if you want? I'll bring you some water."
Chrissy didn't look at him. She kept her eyes down, and Eddie followed her gaze, searching her skin for any small cuts he hadn't noticed.
"Fuck, baby, you alright?" he asked, crouching down by her legs, rapt eyes searching for specks of blood. He carefully lifted one foot, making sure her heel was intact before setting it down and inspecting the other. He looked up at her, wrapping his hands loosely around her knees. "Are you hurt?"
Chrissy still wasn't looking at him when she shook her head. Eyes shut tight, head turned resolutely away from him as Eddie slowly rose to standing. His palms climbed from her knees to her hips to her waist on the way up, and he squeezed gently.
"C'mon," he said softly, not quite understanding what was happening but hoping he sounded reassuring. Urging her back a step, he eased her into turning toward his bedroom. "Go sit, yeah? I'll be back in a minute."
Still silent, Chrissy turned and practically ran back into the bedroom. Eddie blinked after her for a moment before turning to the task at hand, grabbing the broom and carefully sweeping up the debris. Making sure to get all the corners under the cabinets to avoid any later mishaps.
He threw the pieces into a paper food bag before throwing them in the garbage to hopefully prevent anything from piercing the plastic. Smacking his shoes a couple of times over the can, he tossed those aside before grabbing another mug of water and walking back into his bedroom to see if Chrissy was okay.
She was dressed in her own clothes, quietly gathering up her belongings and folding them back into her overnight bag. Eddie stopped, feeling his heart seize in his chest. Ice slithered up his back, cold tendrils like fingers wrapping around his spine and holding him in place for a long, breathless moment.
Was she leaving?
"Chrissy?"
Back to him, Chrissy froze, her makeup bag hovered over her backpack.
"I'll, um," she began, her voice thick. Clearing her throat a little, she tried again. "I can, um, drop some money off for the mug later."
What?
"What?" Eddie asked, trying to shake off the glaciers wrapped around his ankles with a cautious step toward her. "Why would you do that? Baby, it's just a mug. Dunno if you noticed but, uh, Wayne has about a million of them."
"But I––" Her voice was heavy with tears. Whirling around, Chrissy dropped the makeup bag in her hand to the floor, looking up at Eddie for the first time as tears spilled down her cheeks. "But I broke it, Eddie. I was careless and I dropped it. I-I didn't mean to, I swear, I just––"
"Whoa, hey, hey." Breaking out of his hesitation, Eddie crossed the room, gently cupping her cheeks in his hands and wiping her tears away. She met his gaze, her big blue eyes swimming. A storm settling over the ocean. "Sweetness, it's okay. It's just a mug. I'm just happy you're not hurt, alright?"
"B-B-But you even offered to get it, and––"
"And it doesn't matter," he insisted, ducking to grab her attention when her eyes wandered away in shame. "I couldn't give less of a fuck about a broken mug if I tried, okay? It's just a mug."
Collapsing against his chest, Chrissy took in a hitched breath and let out a great sob. Eddie held her close, letting her cry her upset into his bare skin. One hand wrapped around her waist and the other buried in her hair. She clutched at him, fingers digging into his back like she was terrified he was going to change his mind and decide he was angry.
What in the fuck went on at the Cunningham household that would make her respond like this?
After about a minute, her cries quieted, though her shoulders still trembled against him. Eddie kissed her temple, lips tracking down to her cheek before he pulled back far enough to wipe the remainder of her tears away.
"Will Wayne be mad?" she asked, her voice small and her eyes so terribly scared.
"Nah," Eddie reassured her. "Wayne probably won't even notice it's missing."
Fuck, that was the wrong thing to say. Her face crumpled, eyes filling all over again.
"We have to tell him!" Chrissy cried. "W-We can't hide it, Eddie, what if he finds out and gets even more mad––"
"Hey," Eddie cooed softly, trying to keep his voice from quavering with the anger that suddenly surged. Not at her, of course, never at her, but what the fuck was wrong with her family? "We'll tell him, yeah? But I swear, baby, he's not gonna be mad. It's just a thing." Gently urging her chin back, Eddie looked her directly in the eye when he said, "Things break all the time. That's a fact of, like, general product ownership."
"But," Chrissy whispered, falling back into his chest. "But what about the set?"
"Uh. What?"
"The set. The set of mugs. It'll be incomplete now." She looked at him again. "Do you know where I can buy a replacement?"
Eddie blinked at her. "I'm, uh, pretty sure that was, like, a novelty mug he got at a truck stop. It's not part of a set."
Her bottom lip warbled. "So it was important to him? A memory?"
"God, Chrissy, no," Eddie couldn't help it – he had to laugh a little. Gently, he eased her down onto the bed, sitting beside her and pulling her halfway across his lap. "And even if it was? It's not important enough to throw a fit over if it gets broken. It's just stuff, baby, they're just things." He shook his head, resting his chin on her crown when she snuggled into him. "You can't own stuff without expecting to lose or break it, that's not how accidents work. I've broken probably two dozen mugs in my lifetime."
Her voice was so, so incredibly small when she asked, "So you don't want me to leave?"
"Baby, you can stay the rest of your life if you want," Eddie vowed, his voice laced in jest but meaning every goddamn word. "Or, y'know, just until we get the hell out of this town."
He felt the slight curl of her smile where her cheek was pressed over his heart. Wondering if she could hear the new uptick through the wall of his chest.
"I-I'm sorry. I just... I didn't want you to yell at me."
Taking a slow, deep breath, Eddie closed his eyes to keep from cussing out the phantom of Chrissy's mother that seemed to have its claws stuck into Chrissy's brain.
"Listen, I am never going to yell at you," Eddie promised. Letting his fingertips drift up and down the length of her spine. Giving her hip a soft squeeze with every pass. "And if I do? You have my express permission to hit me."
"Eddie––"
"I can't promise I won't like it, though."
"God," she snorted, falling into a fit of giggles. After a moment, she let out a deep breath, the warmth of her anxieties bleeding across his skin as she exhaled them from her bones. "Thank you for being so good, Eddie."
His scalp prickled in pleasure at her compliment. Forehead falling against her crown, Eddie took his own shaky breath in, slowly breathing out as he pulled her even closer.
"Shit, sweetness, for you? Anything."

okay here we go hellcheer church camp au
(you might have to get creative with this one)
Omg hi I tooootally didn't forget I had this in my inbox 👀🫢
I did have to do a little research on this one because I've never been to a church camp unless you count a one-day confirmation retreat (which I don't) or actually any kind of overnight summer camp! SO:
Eddie has finally gotten arrested for dealing and, because it's technically his first offense (yeah, he's surprised about that too -- the juvie record got expunged and Hopper's been soft on him since), he's sentenced to however many hours of community service. He was able to choose between picking up roadside trash or serving food to all of the camp groups at Camp North Star. He'd much rather play lunch lady than spend the whole summer out in the hot sun, so he picks the camp.
Chrissy is a counselor for the elementary-age campers. She's not a huge fan of the camp; she thinks the morning and evening worship sessions are a little much and they spend way too much time indoors for being in such a beautiful area, but between her mother and Jason (also a counselor) she doesn't have much of a choice. (It's still better than being home all week.)
Jason is immediately antagonistic once he clocks Eddie in the kitchen the first evening. He throws a tantrum to the adult leaders about how they're allowing Satan's demonic influence into their godly refuge. Chrissy is mortified and on her way through the lunch line she apologizes and tells Eddie that Satan was still an angel at one point. He replies that Chrissy is an angel now and forever and gives her extra mac n cheese.
One afternoon while all of the campers are having their free swim time in the lake, Eddie makes a trip out there to drop off a cooler full of drinks. He overhears Jason bitching at Chrissy about how her bathing suit is "immodest" (and if he glances over to see it so what! She's got more skin covered than Jason does, anyway). Chrissy gets upset and tells Jason she's done with him and she doesn't care if God said she's his future wife, God is telling her that she should put her foot up his ass for being a dick and storms off back to her cabin to change.
That night after dinner and evening worship and cleanup Eddie sneaks across the camp to Chrissy's cabin and knocks on the door. She opens it thinking it's going to be Jason but is pleasantly surprised when it's not. He says he heard that she didn't get to swim earlier and asks if she still wants to. She changes back into her swimsuit and leads him by the hand down to the dock, where he'd already set up a lantern and some now-warm beers. He cannonballs in and she dives in after and they splash around for a little bit before he works up the nerve to say that he also heard that she got told off for her "immodest swimwear" but he thinks it's really cute, actually.
BONUS:
Chrissy says she'll be back in two weeks as a camper for her own session and asks if Eddie will be there. He salutes and says he's there all summer or until someone decides that he's done his penance. When she comes back he always gives her extras of her favorites and if anyone notices her missing from every single evening worship session that week, they don't let on 😉

Hiii I just wanted to know if you had any nsfw for Harringrove or Hellcheer 🙏
(Btw I really like your writing)
YK WHAT ACTUALLY... thank you so much ❤️And also I should write more hellcheer so have a hellcheer ❤️
They don't have sex.
Chrissy's not sure why. She wants it kind of really bad. Purrs it in Eddie's ear when they're in the middle, paints a picture in words that make her blush later.
But this feels so good. Eddie wears these tight jeans, and when he slots between her thighs, pressing her panties against her and rutting just right.... her brain goes all hazy and she can't remember what she's supposed to do besides what feels good. When they start, they don't want to stop.
And Eddie's so sweet, but he treats her kind of dirty. Which she loves. She's not precious when he has her panting and grinding back against him, when they're sweaty and shivering in the back of his van. She's not breakable, or too pretty, she's...
"Chrissy," He gasps, like it's some sort of magic spell, silvered at the edges. He has his hand up her shirt, thumbing a nipple while she's using the seam of his jeans to get herself off and he's leaning close, his hair forming a curtain around them. It feels so safe. and it's so perfect.
"Eddie," She whispers, straining so she can see how wet she's gotten, white cotton showing the edges of reddish-blonde curls, and Eddie's jeans, darker in one spot.
It's almost filthier than sex, like this. She tugs his hair so hard when she comes she ends up with a little pile of strands in her fingers. He comes in his jeans not long after, chanting her name over and over. They laugh drunkenly afterwards, and kiss and kiss.
They will have sex. Someday, she knows they will. But she hopes they never give this up either.

I would love to know five facts about a hellcheer art school AU 🥰
several days later
1) I think Eddie would probably be a traditional media artist, like illustration. He would be working on his own graphic novel. Chrissy would be more into textiles and she’d tell her mother that she was going to school for fashion, but really she’s making a giant quilt of her mental health journey for the school exhibition 💕
2) Eddie would be paying for school by doing various odd jobs including posing for the art classes, playing guitar in a church’s band on Sundays, and working in a retirement home cafeteria. Chrissy volunteers at the retirement home for her scholarship program and she waits until class to tell Eddie that she noticed him: “you look much better without the hairnet.”
3) Obviously, Corroded Coffin still exist in this universe, and they play in a seedy bar with an alleyway entrance on Tuesday nights. It’s popular amongst the college kids, though, because happy hour is $2 drafts. Eddie finally gets the nerve to invite Chrissy to come see them play. She unfortunately has a panic attack in throngs of drunks and goes home. Eddie shows up to her apartment after the show with his guitar: “I believe I promised you a song.” He doesn’t even get to the chorus before Chrissy is in his arms.
4) Chrissy’s mom finds out she isn’t doing fashion design and is “wasting her life” on an art degree and stops paying for the other half of Chrissy’s tuition. Eddie gets her a job as a barback at the bar. Eventually, the bartender teaches her how to make drinks during the slow times and she gets a promotion. She demands they give Corroded Coffin the prime Friday night spot.
5) They eventually find a converted warehouse apartment and move in together in their senior year. Chrissy’s completed quilt hangs on their wall and Eddie has stacks of his comic book on the coffee table waiting to be sent off to publishers. They’re hosting Wayne for thanksgiving, nothing is going right, but they’re on the third bottle of wine and having a grand time. Wayne’s brought Eddie his grandmother’s wedding ring and it’s burning a hole in Eddie’s pocket, but he’s waiting until Christmas. …or at least the Macy’s day parade.

ok a reversal of the basics: bookshop owner chrissy and flower shop owner eddie
okay I love this bc it’s giving Vinny from Atlantis (minus the explosions)
Eddie takes the flower shop over from his mom after she dies
He’d been off trying to make it as a musician and came back home when she started getting really sick
He doesn’t know shit about flowers but doesn’t want to let the shop die because it was his mom’s passion
In desperation he pops into Chrissy’s bookstore and asks her for any and all books on botany, horticulture, gardening, basically any damn plant books that she’s got
Every time Eddie borrows a book, he brings Chrissy flowers in return

I like to imagine Eddie and Chrissy watching Jason and Laura being loaded into a police car when their crimes catch up to them. Eddie and Chrissy mockingly wave goodbye as the police car drives away.
Oh absolutely! Just imagine how incredibly satisfying it would have been to see them get hauled off to the police station. Let me see if I can play around with this here.
Once the effects of the special K have worn off, Eddie drops Chrissy off at her house early in the morning. He offers her his number and tells her if she ever needs anything to just call him up. Laura finds the number, calls it, and is livid that she was with “that devil worshiper.” She proceeds to hurt her (verbally and physically) and threatens Chrissy that if she ever sees him again that she’ll be kicked out. Laura calls the Carvers about what happened, demanding to speak to their son as soon as he gets home.
On that same morning, Jason wakes up and notices that one of the basketball players is gone. In his haze, he finds his friend’s twisted body (not Patrick because he deserves to live) in the woods nearby. The police ask Jason questions and he tries his best to answer. That’s when one of the officers brings up Chrissy regarding her connection to the victim and her last known whereabouts. When he gets home, his folks tell him that Mrs. Cunningham wants to speak with him Jason is absolutely furious when she tells him what she discovered.
The murders continue and Jason comes to the conclusion that Eddie is to blame and that he’s forced Chrissy to be a part of his “satanic cult.” She’s been “put under his spell” and is conspiring against him and everyone in Hawkins. So not only does he get his friends and the town on his side, he gets Laura to personally work with him as well.
After everything that happens in season 4, the gang returns to Hawkins and finally those two are arrested. For once in her life, Chrissy feels no guilt or shame. She is free. Eddie stands by her side, offers to hold her hand (which she happily takes) and they wave goodbye to Jason and Laura.

For the au game: Hellcheer adopting au. Maybe a cousin of Chrissy's or someone?
my immediate thought with this is:
Eddie and Chrissy have been together for a few years – so both still early-mid 20s. Eddie's music career is just starting to take off, and he's got a tour lined up in three or four weeks with the band to open for a big metal band for the next six months. Chrissy's going with him, ofc. They're probably living in California.
He gets a call from the state of Ohio informing him that his older brother passed away in a car accident, leaving behind a four-year-old daughter. Eddie didn't even know he had an older brother, but as the closest living relative (not in jail, like the father they apparently shared) he was the next of kin. If they didn't take her, she'd go into the system. Which was bullshit for any kid to deal with, Eddie would know.
Eddie mostly wants nothing to do with it, but Chrissy obviously won't let him walk away. They fly out to Ohio to meet her.
Her name is Elodie. She's quiet and shy, and she has ginormous blue eyes and crazy brown curls. She somehow looks just like Chrissy, which is insane. But then they see pictures of Eddie's older brother and his wife, and the wife kinda looks like Chrissy, and Eddie wonders if Munson men just have a type.
Obviously they take her back to California. Start to get her adjusted. Chrissy skips the first leg of the tour to get Elodie settled, and Eddie can't decide how he feels about the situation whatsoever. Like, isn't he supposed to be instantly attached or something? Then they join him on tour, and Chrissy buys Elodie those silly giant noise-blocking headphones, and the kid looks absolutely starstruck when she watches Eddie perform, and Eddie's kinda starstruck right back because damn. That's his family, isn't it?
send me an AU and I'll make up five facts about it!
