Previous Chapter Recap:
“No need, I already told him!” Felix winked down at you, nudging his elbow into your side. What the hell?
“Oh really? I didn’t know you two were close like that.” Literally not once had you seen any sign that they’d spoken to each other, let alone were good enough friends to keep in touch about girls they were taking to lunch.
“With Chan-hyung? We’re about as close as two people can get,” he laughed. “No way. I knew all along. And you’re welcome by the way. I may or may not have encouraged it hehe.” You watched as his eyes sparkled while they smiled. It would have been adorable if you had any clue what he was talking about.
All you could do was stare blankly at him. A confused expression must have been on your face long enough for Felix to notice.
“We are talking about Chan-hyung, right?”
“No… I got the flowers from Jungkook,” you said sheepishly.
You could see Felix’s eyes shoot open, going into panic mode. Fight or flight, I guess.
“Wait, are you talking about? OHHH those flowers! The ones from today. Ohhh okay, nevermind. Sorry, I was thinking about something completely different,” he rapidly mumbled out. He looked like he could start sweating at any minute, waiting to get your eye of approval.
‘Okay, so 2 possibilities. #1: Felix needs a lot more sleep. Or #2: Chan was going to give me flowers?!?!’
Note: Character relations you can refer back to if needed.

Y/N’s POV:
You settled back into your usual sphere of friends in the filming room. Just you, Anna, Kara, and Sunnie. Of course some of the boys jumped in on the discourse.
“Alright Hannie, be honest,” Sunnie questioned, still standing in the group. “Who out of us,” she motioned to the rest of the girls in the group’s circle, “do you think will mess up the most during our shoots?” She put a big grin on her face.
“Uhhh, I mean I think you’ll all do really great to be honest so-“ Han tried, but got cut off.
“Kara obviously,” Seungmin interrupted. “As her mentor, I can confidently say that I have trained her to be a menace.” He was joking, of course but GOD he never looked like it. “Well, not as good as me, but she will learn.”
Kara laughed and fake smacked him on the arm.
“No, but really, be honest. What do we need to worry about? You are literally our mentors so you can’t let us look lame,” Sunnie started again. You knew that Changbin proceeded to give a sarcastic response, but the hint of a figure passing by caught your attention instead.
Chan had arrived. He looked so good, but so out of his normal. You realized then that it wasn’t just Changbin who surprised you, but you’d never seen any of the boys dress up before. You and Changbin looked killer- all black, and honestly kinda sexy. You surprised yourself even.
But not Chan. No, he was in soft colors. Pastels. You didn’t know if you’d ever seen him in something like that- just so NOT like him. You silently wondered if he would come to your group to converse with everyone else. You weren’t sure if you wanted him to or not.
You made sure not to turn your head too far in his direction. You didn’t want him to see you glancing over, but you definitely didn’t want any of your friends in the group to notice you looking either. You tried to focus your eyes back on Han who seemed to be the only one who would give actual advice.
Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Felix shift slightly, lifting his head up. You saw him look in Chan’s direction, then look down to see if you had noticed. You quickly darted your eyes away. Satisfied that you were paying attention elsewhere, he directed his head toward Chan across the room and open his eyes wide. Somehow he had a look of both questioning and embarrassment on his face. You didn’t dare move to look at Chan’s reactions.
After a minute or two of trying to zone in on Han, you gave up. You shifted your weight and crossed your arms, shrugging your shoulders up and rolling your neck around to “try to get a kink out”… if that meant trying to get a secret look at Chan of course.
You found him in your periphery on the other side of the room. He was standing with Jenna and Alyssa, making small talk or prepping them for the filming, you guessed. You could see Jenna’s almost-matching pastel outfit and it made you want to vomit with how sweet it was. And you’d be lying if you said you weren’t a tiny bit jealous that she was matching so well with Chan. You’d be lying even more if you said it didn’t bother you that he’d momentarily rested his hand on her shoulder while talking with them. You’d be lying even more if you said she was too pretty for him. ‘FML.’
Chan had such a wild smile on his face, staring down with his big dimples. You couldn’t believe he was actually getting along with the both of them. They were literally like talking to a wall… Maybe the wall opens up and changes its appearance a little for a cute guy though.
Damn, if this was the shove you needed to move you in Jungkook’s direction, it was definitely working.
Kara, standing a couple people over from you in the circle, must have noticed Chan coming through in his displaced pastels as well. He was a magnet, what could you say?
You noticed her scoffing over. Everyone else noticed as well.
“Kara, everything okay?” Anna asked, being the last to notice but the first to call her out.
“I was just observing,” she smirked, nodding her head in Chan’s direction. Everyone turned to look as Chan lightly nudged an elbow into Jenna’s side.
‘God, please kill me.’
Sunnie fired back with a smug look. “Oooo so *that’s what Felix was talking aboutttt,” she dragged on.
… The guys, including you and Anna, looked around, staring blankly at each other.
“What do you all know that I don’t?” Seungmin asked, staring down both of the girls.
‘Agreed,’ you thought.
“Did you literally not hear Felix at lunch?” Kara looked up at him. All the Stray Kids members looked confused.
Felix looked defensive all of a sudden. “No, no, no, that’s not what I meant! I was just joking I swear!” He tried to force a laugh. “I swear it was just a joke!”
“Yeah rightttt,” Kara scoffed. “It’s so obvious that she’d be that way. It makes so much sense.”
“Okay, what are you guys talking about?” you finally piped up.
“Seriously, what’s going on?” Changbin backed you up.
Felix looked off, like he would just ignore the question forever. Kara ran her eyes across his face, then rolled them back into her head.
“Oh so NOW you are shy?!” she threw at him. “Well Felix kinda let it slip that Chris was crushing on someone who was already accounted for, but that it would all work out.”
The boys all looked at him, wide-eyed.
“Oh my gosh, that’s not how I meant it! I mean I was just joking around!” Felix plead, acting fake hurt. “Literally we were just talking about who YOU ALL found cute, and then yeah, I said that Chris was wanting someone who was already accounted for but, but-“ he started to fumble his words. “I mean I was just messing around! I meant that Chris was into me, but I’m accounted for of course,” he let out a nervous laugh.
“Accounted for? By who? And your mom doesn’t count.” Seungmin smirked.
“No, with Binnie!” Felix put on a fake pout again, grabbing Changbin by the arm. “And don’t you talk about us that way!” Everyone got to laughing, and I guess Felix’s explanation was good enough to put everyone’s mind at rest.
‘Nice cover, Felix.’
Kara wasn’t completely sold though. She motioned for everyone to scoot in closer before leaned her head down and began to whisper. “Listen, I’m serious though. I don’t mean to step on any toes, I swear I don’t… But the rumor going around really is that Chan’s got his eye on one of the mentees,” she looked up to see everyone’s reaction. “Now, if you guys say that it isn’t true, then it isn’t true, but that’s what’s been going around. AND word on the street is that she is also fucking Jungkook.”
‘GODDAMN IT. I AM NOT FUCKING JUNGKOOK! HOW IN THE HELL DOES ONE DATE EQUATE TO FUCKING THIS MAN?!’
‘And now, if anyone does see us together, I’m royally fucked… May even get kicked off the show for the bad publicity. I’ve got to find a way to shut that shit down.’
You secretly watched Felix’s face drop. In that moment, he had confirmed his previous theory that you had been seeing Jungkook and rejected Chan.
‘Welp, this is awkward.’
“Alright well if someone’s fucking Jungkook, then they’re fucking Jungkook. None of my business. But if Chan was into someone, he would have told us by now,” Changbin chimed in.
Felix looked to the ground.
“I mean maybe... Unless he was embarrassed. Sure doesn’t seem like it now though,” she glanced back over. You let your eyes follow in that direction. Chan was now propped up with one hand against the wall, smiling down towards Jenna with a smirk on his face.
‘I don’t even care,’ you thought.
But you did. You knew you did.

Felix’s POV:
Filming was about to start. The directors had each of you pair up into your mentor couples and wait for more instructions.
“Hold on, I have to go find Chan real quick!” Felix told Anna.
“Alright, you know where to find me,” she smiled back.
Felix quickly made his way over to where Chan stood. Next to Jenna of course.
“Hey, can you come here for a second? I have a question,” Felix directed toward Chan, offering a polite smile when Jenna looked his way too.
“Yeah sure,” Chan said, letting Felix lead him toward the back of the room away from everyone else.
Chan was totally on edge. Felix could tell.
“What the fuck happened?” Felix questioned.
“What happened with what?” Chan retorted, pretending he didn’t know what Felix was getting at.
Felix just stared at him, rolling his eyes up. Annoyed. He stood there in silence, not letting himself be the one to give in. Finally Chan did.
“Look, I saw her with Jungkook, bro. He gave her flowers and she looked happy. End of story. Nothing else to talk about,” he huffed, ready to walk back. He was holding it back well, but Felix knew him well enough to know he was hurt.
Chan looked down and shook his head, imagining what Felix must be thinking. Felix had encouraged him early on to message you… but he just never did. Not until he was scared someone else was interested in you that is.
“Whatever mate, but just know this whole look-“ Felix pointed a finger, dragging it across the path to Chan and Jenna, “isn’t a cute one. Almost every other contestant has something bad to say about her.”
“Come on man, she’s not that bad.”
“Literally look at her face right now,” Felix motioned over.
A look of pure boredom and disdain was washed over her. She glanced down to her nails, then back up to her surroundings, almost as if she was trying to size anyone and everyone up. She was off on her own, not attempting to strike up a conversation with any of the 40+ people in the room.
“So she has a hard exterior,” Chan tried to cover. “But she’s actually really nice once you start talking to her.”
“Tell me one nice thing she’s had to say.”
“Well she was talking about how excited she was to see me.”
“That doesn’t count.”
“She was also talking about how I looked good in pastels. Told me that they suited me more than black and that I should switch it up.”
“That doesn’t count either. What is ONE nice thing she’s said that wasn’t about you?”
Chan stood for a moment. “Well, I mean,” he grabbed his neck and looked down. “Like I said, she’s a hard one to crack.”
“Do what you want, but going after your own mentee isn’t a good look. I’ll tell you that if no one else will.”
Felix turned to walk away, but spun right back around on his toes. “By the way, someone is now spreading a rumor that whoever you’re into is fucking Jungkook. Just thought you should know before you made anyone look bad.”
With that, he briskly walked off.

Y/n’s POV:
Shooting actually went really well. Way better than you’d expected. It wasn’t nearly as scary as you thought it’d be, and you think you actually got some great takes.
They had let you talk about medical school, and what it was like to train in today’s world post-COVID. You got to talk about the reason you were interested in medicine in the first place, and how the 7-year-old you would be so proud to see you now, living out your biggest dream. They asked all the right questions, and you gave all the right answers. You were starting to feel hopeful that you could make a connection with the audience of the show.
Of course, all of the scenes with Changbin were perfect too. You silently thanked the heavens that you got paired with the coolest guy to be your mentor. The banter between the two of you was perfect. One moment that specifically stood out was when they shot a scene of Changbin trying to give you tips and that, as his mentee, you were gonna have to be tough and do some of the heavy lifting to make him proud. He made you practice an example, as he bent himself face-down at his hips and pulled on your arms to rotate your body into the air and land on the other side of his.
“See, easy! Now you try,” he had instructed.
And try you did… But FAIL you also did. You tried your best to keep your legs firmly planted on the ground, but with the weight of Binnie directly over top of you, you couldn’t help but fall to the ground, letting him fall along on top of you. Neither of you got hurt, but you both almost died of laughter, holding onto each other on the floor. You laughed so hard you thought you’d cry.
It may have hurt your ego a little, but damn if it wasn’t gonna make for some cute content for the show.
You felt a quiz buzz coming from your pocket. You took it out to check the screen, showing a text from JK. After the date, you had decided that exchanging numbers was way better than having to talk through instagram.
Tumblr media
You smiled at how interested he was in your life.
Tumblr media
You shoved your phone back in your pocket, warm feeling still coming on.
“Are you coming to the dinner later?” you turned to Changbin.
His eyes lit up. “I mean I hadn’t really planned on it, but are you going?”
“Honestly, I think it’s mandatory for us to go. But I’m excited anyways. Everyone should be there. Have you been to the restaurant?”
“Which one is it?”
“Nine Mile.”
“Damn, that’s a pretty nice restaurant. Especially if the company is paying.”
“Then you’d *better come with me,” you laughed, nodding your head his way.
“Alright, alright. It’s a date,” he smiled. “Only for the food though.”
“Well of course.”
—————————————--
After a quick trip back to the hotel with Anna to freshen up and get caught up on all of the day’s happenings, you felt exhausted. I mean, today was probably the most eventful day of your life. You went on a date with Jungkook, got blown off by Chan and then had to watch him flirt with another girl, and then get through 3-ish hours of filming for a TV show you didn’t even think you belonged on. You really just wanted to lie in bed and talk with Anna, then pass out for the night.
But you couldn’t. The night must go on. You reminded yourself that you should be grateful for every opportunity, no matter how tired you were.
JK had texted you back, letting you know he also had plans for the night, but to have fun at the dinner with Changbin. The emotions you felt were still extremely mixed, but you decided to just take each moment as it came. Otherwise, you’d be too overwhelmed to even think.
Once you had finished freshening up, you and Anna set out to the restaurant in your normal, everyday clothes. You couldn’t lie, being in medical school made you adopt a new sense of fashion. Corporate baddie? You realized this quickly when you came to Korea and saw the street style that most others wore. You and Anna couldn’t help it though- your closet now consistent of only 2 things: (1) scrubs, (2) trendy oversized blazers. Out of the 2 options, the only one you deemed appropriate to bring was the latter.
You didn’t mind standing out a bit though. Some people in Korea even had similar styles, just a bit more muted than the two of you. It was obvious from the looks you got while walking the street- not bad looks, the reverse actually.
You looked down to examine your black heels and matching black oversized blazer. You made sure to pair it with dark jeans and lots of jewelry to set a more casual tone… and also to stop yourself from looking like you could pull out a reflex hammer and give a full-on neurological exam at any moment. But it was night time after all, and it was freezing. You had to cover up as best you could.
You couldn’t lie, you also had to make sure you spritzed on a couple sprays of your favorite sensual perfume. Just for good measure. You never knew who you would see.
There was a reason you and Anna were besties, you thought as you looked to your bestfriend walking next to you. She complimented both you and your style so well. Business casual, but make it hot.
You finally arrived at the restaurant two minutes early. But to your surprise, the huge reserved section in the back was already almost completely full. Everyone was really making sure they were on time, you guessed.
You both meandered your way in, stopping to say “hi” to some of the other new trainees that you recognized. From a distance, Changbin flagged you down. He motioned for you to come to where he was sat.
“I figured you and Anna would come together. I saved you both a seat!,” he said, standing up out of his chair. He grabbed the chair seated next to his and pulled it out for you to sit down.
‘Too sweet,’ you thought as you took your place. “Thanks Binnie!”
The other seat next to you was presumably for Anna, so you waited for Changbin to pass you and pull it out for her as well.
“Anna,” he caught her attention, instead turning the other way to take his seat. “That seat is for you!,” he smiled, pointing down to it.
It was hard to hear with the loud noises coming from the crowd around you, but she understood what he was saying and took her spot.
Sitting in front of you were a few other trainees that you had met a couple of times before. Both girls and guys- all super nice. You exchanged formal “hello’s” and “how are you doing?”.
You scanned the room to look for the other boys, but only Felix was in sight, standing far in the other corner of the room and talking with some of the new male trainees.
“Binnie, did none of the kids come except Felix?” you looked at him.
“Nah, they were all working on stuff. But don’t worry, I’ll always make time for you!” He spread a loving smile across his face.
You couldn’t believe you were so lucky to get Changbin as your mentor. Hardly any of the mentors were here. You had made sure to carefully check for any sight of Chris, but to your relief, he was nowhere to be found.
———————————————
The rest of the night was filled with plenty of amazing food, fun conversations, and new deep connections made with other contestants.
But if you were being honest, you definitely knew you had a few too many drinks. You were feeling good, yes. But almost past the point of feeling good. You could feel your stomach start to get the tiniest bit queasy and the world around you started to blur the tiniest bit. Your head felt like it was floating.
‘Okay y/n, you are cut off,’ the last ounce of soberness in your brain thought. But that is where the final sober thought ended.
“Binnie, can I be honest?” you leaned into him, almost letting your face touch his chest.
He looked down at you with big eyes. “Of course, what’s up?”
“I’m just…” you trailed off, beginning to look at his lips and then back up to his face. “I’m just really happy you’re here with me.” You smiled.
“I’m happy too. Thank you for inviting me to come.”
“Well you are always invited to come anywhere with me. I want you to know that.”
He blushed.
That should have been your signal. That should have been your warning to stop yourself. In your drunken state, you couldn’t sense that your words would come across as flirty. You didn’t mean it in that way- not in the slightest. You just wanted to express your love and appreciation to your friend. It was innocent, honestly. But Bin couldn’t tell that.
“You’re so sweet, y/n.” He leaned down further into you until his lips were hovering just above your head. “And if I’m honest, I’m really glad that I’m getting to know you better.” He let out a soft smile.
You went in for a hug, burying your face into his chest in the process. His chest was so strong and warm. “I needed to hear that… I wish everyone else felt the same,” you accidentally let slip out. Again, you didn’t even realize what you were saying. You were too far gone and you needed to go home.
“Like who? Is anyone giving you a hard time?” Changbin asked.
“No, it’s- well maybe. I don’t know. It’s nothing…” you paused. “Binnie, I think I’ve done all I can do tonight,” you accidentally leaned over into him. “I think I need to go home.”
“Yeah of course. Stay here for just a second. Let me get Anna.”
He gently got up from his chair, so as not to startle you too much, and walked a few steps toward Anna who had moved into a group of people who were stood chit-chatting.
He returned to you a few seconds later. “Anna is going to stay around for a while. Is it okay if I walk you to your hotel?” He reached his hand out for you to take it.
You happily obliged, using his hand to lift up all your weight in your stupor state. You felt a little unbalanced, but nothing that you couldn’t manage. Nothing that you couldn’t walk off on the way back to the hotel anyway.
Bin swiftly moved behind you, using one arm to stabilize around your waist and the other to reach out in front of you to continue to give your hand the needed stability. This way, he could see you right in front of him as you walked and make sure you didn’t trip over.
You both took slow steps toward the exit, breezily waving goodbye on your way out.
Your eyes caught Felix’s on your way out. You tried to wave, just a simple acknowledgment.
You may have been drunk, but not drunk enough to make out the the panic on Felix’s face. You couldn’t ponder on it for too long though, as a slight step up past the doorframe caught your foot.
You felt yourself lose balance, about to topple over, but Changbin felt your change in positioning and clung onto your tighter. As suddenly as you felt yourself begin to fall, you felt yourself stay stationary in the air.
“Ahhh,” you mumbled.
“Alright, come on. Up, up, up,” Changbin said lowly while pulling your body back to standing.
You giggled once he got you up. “I didn’t know you were that strong!” you said, excitedly, as you collected yourself enough to step forward again and out of the restaurant.
He moved his arm now to link up with yours. “This is why I train up! So I can catch you apparently,” he laughed.
You let out a giggle as you stepped into the cold wind. It caught you off guard, not remembering how cold it had been when you’d arrived. One more step and one huge gust of wind almost knocked you off balance again. You felt your leg start to teeter.
“Woah, woah!” Changbin laughed, catching your body from the side this time. “Be careful or you’re gonna take us both down!”
You couldn’t help but laugh at how ridiculous this was. Was it funny because of the alcohol? Absolutely. Without it, you’d be humiliated beyond belief. But now, you were more amused than you had been in the last week. You couldn’t stop giggling, cueing Changbin to start chuckling back at you.
“Come on, let’s get you home,” he said, once you stabilized.
“Okay, okay,” you took a deep breath in and then snapped your fingers. “I’m good. I’m good! Okay, I’ve got this. Let’s go,” you smiled.
He roped his arm back around yours to give you an anchor as you both walked, now both stepping out past the side of the restaurant, no worries in the world.

Chan’s POV:
Tumblr media
He sat on the couch of his studio for a moment, taking in his surroundings.
He didn’t know why he’d done it. He didn’t know why he’d done any of this. Why he canceled on you, why he brushed you off when you clearly wanted to speak with him, why he tried to make you jealous earlier.
After all, Felix told him that you had something with Jungkook. What did he expect? That it was just a rumor? That if he texted you right then, any plans you had with JK would just magically disappear?
Did he expect you to just drop everything and fall in love with him?
The only reason he got the balls to message you in the first place was because Felix told him you were going to see someone else. So why was he backing out now?
He guessed the stress of ACTUALLY seeing the two of you together- physically present in front of him- set him off. He didn’t even want to think about you being that close to another man, let alone see it.
It should have been him doing that with you. But, like always, he blew his own fucking chance.
He freaked out. He shut himself down and shut you out. He wanted to make you feel the same way he felt seeing you with someone else.
He sat and pondered for a moment.
‘It’s all in your head anyways, Chris. She’s not jealous over what you’re doing. She probably hasn’t even thought twice about you since. All you’re doing is making yourself look like a dick who goes after their own mentee…’
‘And Felix is right, it’s not a good look. Jenna objectively sucks. You don’t want to be associated with that. Hell, the conversations you had today were bone dry. You still have to support her, but from a distance will be fine.’
‘It’s just… ahhh,’ he threw his elbows down to rest over his knees, bringing his head down to his hands and letting them trace through his hair. He started pulling harshly at the strands of hair sliding through his fingers.
‘Why is it so fucking hard for you? Why can’t you just forget about her? You’re not going to, are you?’
‘But it doesn’t matter, you’re too much of a pussy to do anything anyways. You had her literally coming to your studio, and then you backed out like a fucking coward because of what? Because you saw someone else has a crush on her?’
‘Damn right Jungkook has a crush on her- he’d be crazy not to. But she only likes him because she doesn’t know how good YOU could be to her. You haven’t said or done shit!’
‘So why in the fuck are you sitting here moping, when you could actually apologize for being shitty and weird? You’re literally gonna just watch and do nothing and hope that nothing comes of this so you can have your chance?’
‘No, you’ve got to talk to her. So what, she’s been on a date or two with JK? It’s not like they were official or anything- if they were, you would have definitely heard about it.’
‘She could be way more into you than she is into him if you just TRY. Just do it. COME ON.’
Chris jumped up off the couch. This was probably the best timing he was going to get, and it was now or never. He had already checked with Felix, so what was he waiting for?
He looked at his reflection in the camera app on his phone.
He’d looked worse, he thought. He was just grateful to be changed out of those god-awful pastels.
He threw his black fluffy jacket on and grabbed the flowers he had purchased for you this morning, silently thanking himself that he didn’t throw them away earlier in a jealous rage.
Heading out of the company building, he kept the pep talk going in his mind as he quickly dashed toward the Nine Mile restaurant. He silently thanked god that it was only a few minutes away.
‘You’ve got this, Chris.’
‘It’s nothing, it’s nothing! It’s literally nothing.’
‘All you have to say is what you feel. It’s that simple. You want to get to know her more and you’d like to see her sometime, not at the company.’
‘She doesn’t have to know everything else. She doesn’t have to know you saw her earlier. She doesn’t have to know that’s why you canceled on her.’
‘But damn you may have some explaining to do if she brings something up about you and Jenna.’
‘No, she probably didn’t even notice or care.’
‘All you can do is lay it out on the table. If she doesn’t want you, then she doesn’t want you. But at least you can say you tried. You can live with no regrets.’
‘Come on, don’t back out. You can do this. You can do this,’ he repeated to himself as he saw the glow of the restaurant’s sign quickly approaching.
He quickly looked down to check his phone and get the time. He was hoping you hadn’t left yet by the time he got there.
As he went to put the phone away, he heard a familiar voice.
“Chan! Hey, what are you doing?”
Fuck. It couldn’t be.
The voice was recognizable, but the outline, not so much. All black outfit with a black mask. If Chan hadn’t heard him speak, he’d have no clue it was Jungkook. He was just standing there, leaning against the wall of the business directly next to the restaurant. It was a little ominous really, hidden away in the shadow of a street sign- the light of the moon not even able to hit him.
“Hey man, what’s up?” Chan tried to play it off like he wasn’t internally freaking out.
“Ah, I was just about to meet a friend. What about you? Are you headed to the JYP party in there?” He motioned to the restaurant.
‘Okay great, so he’s here to meet a “friend” and just so happened to know that YOU would be here… a SECOND date with him in one goddamn day?!’
Chris got extremely flustered. All of the confidence he once held was now leaving his body entirely.
Did he want to be brave? Yes.
Did he want to prove that he could be better for you? Yes.
Did he idealize in his head how this night was going to go and now that’s all going to shit? Yes.
Chan was officially in panic mode.
“Ah you know what, I was going to head in for a bit, but damn, you just reminded me! I ran off and left my wallet. I’m gonna have to go find it before someone else does. Ah fuck,” he lied through his teeth.
“I’m sorry man, that’s the worst! Do you need me to hold your stuff for you til you get back?” JK said, looking down to the flowers in Chan’s hands.
“Oh these? Yeah, it’s a ... friend’s birthday! So I had picked these up. But uhm… Actually, if you want them you can have them! By the time I walk back and turn everything upside down to find my wallet, I don’t know that I’ll actually make it back here. The flowers are probably gonna die tonight without water anyway, so I’ll have to buy another batch tomorrow. Please feel free to take them off my hands if you think you or someone else could use them. Seriously."
Chris didn’t really know why he said this. He didn’t know why he had lied about so much. He owed NOTHING to JK. Were they friends? Sure, but not close enough to feel bad about liking the same person.
He just needed to be out of this moment quick.
There he was again- a coward. Running away from his feelings, he knew. He knew he was ruining it yet again. But he couldn’t confront this reality. Not now. Not so openly and in front of everyone. He needed to get out fast.
“I mean sure man, I’ll take them if you don’t want them. I’ll find someone to give them to at least,” JK smiled down and took the bouquet into his hands. “Be careful going back in this cold! It’s getting ridiculous.”
All of a sudden, Chan heard it. It was unmistakable. His favorite sound in the world. Your laugh was coming closer.
He looked off a few yards away to see you stumbling out of the restaurant, holding tightly to Changbin.
In that moment, he was cursing his luck that Changbin got to have you as a mentee instead of him.
He knew you'd be searching for Jungkook at any moment. He needed to get out fast.
“Yeah, you too man. I’ll see you soon, yeah?”
Chan turned on his heels with his head down and sped away. He didn't dare look back for fear of what he might see. He knew he couldn't take it again.
In that moment, he was thankful for the strong wind chill hitting his face, drying out the singular tear rolling down his cheek.
At least he knew his flowers would get to you somehow.
----------------------------------------
Y/n's POV:
You held on to Binnie for dear life, making small strides so as not to lose the little bit of balance you had.
"I've still got to have a mentee for the show, so we have to get you back in one piece! If not, I'll kill you," Changbin said, letting out a chuckle.
In your drunken state, it made you cackle.
"You couldn't kill anyone Binnnnnnieee. You're too sweet," you smiled and booped him on the nose. You felt yourself lose your footing the slightest bit, but quickly moved your hand back to your side to stabilize.
"I'm sweet, but that doesn't mean I couldn't crush you in two seconds," he teased. "One squeeze while I've got you in a headlock and you're a goner."
"Oh yeah? I'd like to see you try!" you challenged him, stopping mid-stride and taking one step back.
"Oh you're on!" he made quick work to pull your arm around to your side, moving your whole body along with it until you were turned away from him. One swift movement had his bicep around the side of your neck, arm extended around the other half, until his hand reached your opposite shoulder.
Suddenly, you felt yourself working harder to breathe.
He took his other hand and harshly rubbed it as fast as he could on the top of your head. "Noogies just for good measure!" he yelled.
"Okay, OKAY, you win! I give up!" you choked out as best as your could.
Suddenly, he released the pressure off of your neck and you took a deep breath in, your red face trying to tame itself.
As you panted, Changbin teased you. "So what were you saying about me not being able to absolutely destroy you?"
You playfully, lightly shoved into him. "Shut up. Knowing that, I don't know if I want you to walk me back now! Wouldn't want to risk anything, ya know?"
"I promise to not use my skills anymore tonight. Deal?" he laughed and held his extended arm out for you to loop your own into.
"Deal," you smiled and wrapped your arm around his, starting back on the journey to your original destination.
As you went to turn your head, you noticed something in the corner of your eye. A dark figure gently shifted in the shadow behind the restaurant. Fully black clothed, mask on his face. But the shoes- the shoes were a dead giveaway.
'Aren't those the shoes Jungkook was wearing earlier?'
You'd never forget them. Black, but with golden laces and a bit of golden detailing on the slight platform. You'd made a mental note earlier of how nice they were. You could barely make them out in the darkness, but there was no mistaking that they were the same pair.
You were looking back now, trying to make full eye contact. Why wasn't he coming to say hi to you?
His body shifted back further into the unlit cove.
An overwhelming feeling of uneasiness washed over you. You snapped your head back around to the front, focusing now on your walking. You started to pick up the pace as best you could.
"Woahhh, you okay?" Changbin said, noticing the shift.
You honestly didn't know.
'Why would Jungkook be here? Let alone be lurking in the shadows instead of coming to talk to you?'
'He knew you'd be here,' you told yourself. 'And he knew you'd be here with Bin. Is that what this is about? He's jealous already? Jealous enough to freaking follow you around all night? How could he not "trust you" if you weren't even together?'
You felt your heart begin to race inside your chest. Looking down at the ground, you whispered, "Binnie... I may be paranoid but think I might be getting followed."
Your strides were even wider now, as Changbin tried to follow suit.
"Why? Did you see something?!"
"There's this guy I know standing back there at the corner of the building where it was totally dark. I told him earlier that I'd be here with you. He didn't even acknowledge that I was here. Please just get me home!"
You both started moving as quickly as you could toward the end of the street, rounding a corner. You looked back to see if Jungkook was still in site. You didn't see anything, but that didn't mean he wasn't still following.
Changbin flagged down a cab and pushed the both of you inside.
"The JYP Building, please. Quickly." he instructed the cab driver.
"That's the opposite direction of my hotel! Here, it's actually-" you tried to chime in until Changbin cut you off.
"If someone is following you, do you really want them to know which direction to take for your hotel?"
'Good point.'
"JYP Building please!" you yelled toward the cab driver. You clung tight to Changbin's arm, swerving your head frantically to get a view through all of the windows.

La Bruja jean kirestein x latina reader
Reader is a healer, and uses herbal remedies and folk magick/medicine to help cure Jean’s empacho (blockages) from las jefas (bosses) he’s afraid of anything that’s not a doctor. He’s a skeptic fr fr. However this little curandera is just healed his wounds but did she heal his heart too?
@honeybleed @killxio @imissyuuji @timietate
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he’d see you in the village of wall rose inside of the Karaness district. So kind. So loving. And so sweet. You were passing out food and crops to the poor, and you were always busy. But now he sees you in Marley. You both are in disguises. Cleaning and organizing the food stamps. It’s because you’re so intellectual they call you La bruja. A witch. you’re not even a witch. It’s just the home remedies you Perform it’s perfect. However there’s one particular day Jean and his squad had set up camp. And you come in.
“Mr Kirestien?” A calm sweeet voice pops into the tent. Jean is full of sweat on his face coughing, and feeling like a dying mess. And he never gets sick.
“Yup..” cough ”that’s me.” You just chuckle as you’re starting to sit up him up.
“how are you feeling?” She asks him with her two braids with the ribbons.
“Could be better to guess.” He grumbled sitting up, and flinched when you have an egg in your hand. “You’re not going to squash that on my head right??” you just chuckled.
“No, I’m going to cook you and feed you to Los pollos.” She laughs and shakes her head rubbing the egg all over him slowly saying a prayer. “Why so tense?”
Jean was always tense for real. Maybe it’s the pressure of the military police, or is that how he is after witnessing death so much. “Why so nosy?” He thought it would be adorable to be such a smart ass. You rolled your eyes. “You have a lot on your plate…” she mumbled as she’s now cracking the egg into a cup of water. “Ahh I see now.” Jean looks at y/n with a dumbfounded face
“Let me guess i got a curse placed on me.” He snorts, starting to wheeze. And then cough. “No. You actually have empacho. A blockage.” She explained and made the young man prop up as she poured him some water into his mouth. As he’s just been feeling queasy. Nodding. Then hacking because of how much mint is helping him breathe through his nose.
“Gah!! What the hell!” You then respond ”is something wrong?”
“You mad mad woman you’re supposed to make me feel better not try to kill me!!” There he couldn’t help to hear you giggle, and then that giggle would turn into a cackle. A true laugh a man hasn’t heard.
“What? What’s so funny?” He cocks his head. As you calm down and sigh wiping your eyes. “This.” You breath as you make your finger into a circle. “This is funny.” You then just sit down in the tent. Reading and performing your prayer rituals. “I will be here for at least two days. Three days including today.” She smiled winking at him and then grabs the the big plants to smack him.
“Lay down.” You command him, and you sounded like you were on top of his case. He smirks at you. “Or what, Missy??” He gives you that arrogant smile haughty laughter. You just slapped him with the leaves since they are palm leaves. Stinging his skin..
Then it happened day after day. During those three days. He’s felt a connection with you. Mamacita. Homeboy even loves your cooking. So when he finishes. And it’s your last day. “So um. I wanted to say thank you.” He coughs out his thanks.
“Did I hear gratitude?” He rolls his eyes as a playful scoff escaped his lips. “W-what no.” He crosses his arms frantically like he’s panicking. And then reveals his flowers of tulips in his back pocket.
“These are for you.” You blush smiling all sheepishly and hop up to your step and kiss his cheek. He stammers and looks at you with a sheepish look that made him all smitten. “S-say, I was wondering… since you saved my life…? How about I get you a job on the force??”
“Is this your way of asking me to come with you?” You giggle, and you also said yes.

Supercorp + Hogwarts AU + meet messy + "is that the best you can do?"
“Hey, do you guys want to see a muggle magic trick?”
Kara doesn’t have to look up to know Alex and Kelly are exchanging glances over Nia’s head. Nia is the best witch in the fifth year hands-down, but her grasp of muggle illusions leave a lot to be desired.
“Sure…” Kelly agrees, politely but unsurely, while Alex shakes her head.
“If this is that stupid coin trick again, Nia—” she starts, but Nia is already squeezing between them on the grass, unfolding a pack of muggle playing cards.
“It is not,” Nia says. “Prepare to be amazed! Yvette says I’m really good at this one.”
“Oh, joy,” Alex mutters under her breath, which turns into a pained yelp when Kelly elbows her in the ribs.
Kara finally raises her gaze from the newspaper she’s been half-reading, fully prepared to commit to Nia’s trick, but then she catches a glimpse of dark hair and a brisk pace. It’s Lena Luthor, notorious loner, actually sitting outside by the black lake with her books.
It’s odd—Lena never sits outside. People talk; Lena doesn’t have many friends (someone even started a rumor that Lillian Luthor pays Jess, another sixth year, to hang out with Lena). In fact, the only time anyone really sees Lena is in class, or in the Slytherin common room when Jess is also there. Kara sees her even less (only when Slytherin and Gryffindor share classrooms), but that doesn’t make the hopeless crush she’s fostered on her since they were eleven any less potent.
Kelly starts clapping suddenly, reluctantly dragging Kara’s eyes from Lena (who is reading a book; Kara is wondering just what kind of book it is). “Aw, Nia, that was good!” she says. “Do it again!”
Even Alex is curiously lifting up the cards one by one, as if trying to determine the trick herself. “Did you use actual magic for this?” she asks.
“I’m just that good,” Nia brags, though the way she tries to expertly shuffle the cards right back into their box suggests otherwise; half of them spill onto the grass. “Oh man!”
“I’ve got this,” Kara says, absentmindedly reaching for her wand. “Accio—”
“Kara, no!”
Oh, that’s right, Kara thinks belatedly. My wand is broken. It had been an unfortunate event on the Quidditch pitch involving an overzealous Hufflepuff seeker (Winn is still very apologetic about it, but it can’t be helped now). Unfortunately, Kara never seems to quite remember that magic is off-limits until it can be fixed.
And even more unfortunate is the fact that her mind and her words have begun to converge; she’s thinking about the book Lena is reading while glancing at the cards, and her mouth is forming silent words, and really it’s not a surprise at all when said book rockets out of Lena’s hands and aims right for Nia’s head.
No one dies, though, nor do they have to make the unpleasant trudge to the infirmary—Kelly is far quicker than any of Kara’s botched magic, and the book explodes into nothing when she mutters a firm, “Evanesco.”
“Kelly!” Kara forgets, for a second, about the whole Nia-about-to-break-her-face thing; her heart drops to the pit of her stomach at the thought that something of Lena Luthor’s has been reduced to figurative dust. What if that book was personal? What if it was special? What if it was—
“Excuse me,” says a quiet, sudden voice, and Kara just about falls over in the grass at the sight of Lena Luthor standing there. “I think you summoned my book.”
Kelly winces. “Oh, actually—”
“I destroyed it,” Kara blurts out, because really, this is her fault and Nia still has a face so the least Kara can do is take a fall for a friend. “I’m sorry. My wand is broken, and I was trying to summon some cards, but I was looking at you and thinking about your book and it just…I’m sorry. Again. I can pay for it?” She immediately begins digging into the pockets of her robes, but all she manages to scrounge up is a broken sugar quill and a drawing on a torn sheet of paper that depicts Professor Grant as a dragon.
For a moment, all Lena does is stare down at Kara in a peculiarly quizzical way. She doesn’t seem mad or anything, just perplexed. A second later she says, “You were thinking about ‘Voyages with Vampires’ strongly enough to summon it? I don’t really enjoy Gilderoy Lockhart books myself.”
“To be fair,” Kara’s quick to defend herself, “I couldn’t read the title from this far.”
“Right. You decided you wanted to snatch my book from me because it was mine.” And just like that, the curious expression on Lena’s face drops entirely, twists into something resigned and exhausted. “Is that the best you can do? Petty little child games?”
“What? No, I would never—”
“Because last week Eve Tessmacher hit me with a furnunculus curse that was far more clever than this,” Lena all but sneers. “It’s always the pig-headed Gryffindors that aim out of their league.”
“You wanna say that again?” Alex is jumping up, her wand brandished out, and Lena glances from her to Kara to Kelly to Nia, as if just realizing how potentially outnumbered she could be.
Except, well, that’s so not the issue. Kara hastens to stand between Alex’s wand and Lena’s body, nearly knocking her sister over in the process. “No! No, I didn’t do that as a prank, I—” She pauses, feels her cheeks go hot, and then rushes out, “Ijustthinkyou’rereallypretty!”
Alex lowers her wand; Kara can tell, because Alex uses it to jab her in the ribs. “Oh, bloody hell,” Alex grumbles, and she nudges Kelly to join her. “I think that’s our cue. I’d rather study for Potions than watch this.”
Kelly obligingly drags Nia along, who looks like she wants to protest, but eventually Nia caves in—though not without trying to wink conspiringly at Kara, which doesn’t work because Nia “winks” with both eyes.
“But—” Kara watches as her friends scatter, and then she is left with the heavy, accusatory gaze of Lena Luthor. She tries to smile, but imagines her attempt is more of a wince than anything. “Did I mention that I’m sorry?”
Lena takes a step forward. She raises her chin in the air, no less guarded, but her eyes convey a tiny bit of that earlier curiosity all the same. “You’ve already had your fun, Kara Danvers,” she says. “But I will give you credit, no one has played the ‘I have a crush on you’ prank yet.”
Kara frowns. “Do people really play pranks on you so much?”
“I am the weird little sister of a boy who tried to blow up Hogwarts,” Lena all but deadpans. “What do you think?”
“I think you’re way more than Lex Luthor’s sister, and that’s just...really mean,” Kara says, words bursting out before she even pauses to rein them in. “I mean, you are so smart! Last year you saved a bunch of first years who wandered into the Forbidden Forest. A-and you never tried out for Quidditch, but sometimes you fly with Jess on the pitch and you’re so fast you could easily run circles around anyone on the Slytherin team. You’re the coolest person ever. Even when you were eleven, you—” Finally, her brain starts to catch up with her mouth, and Kara flushes hotter than she ever thought possible. “Oh, gosh. I’m sorry. I swear, I didn’t mean for that to sound…stalker-y. I only know about the first year thing because Professor Grant’s son was new that year and I was supposed to be babysitting him. And then the flying, well, sometimes I go to the pitch with Winn whenever he wants to practice—”
“Kara. You can breathe any time you want,” Lena prompts, and Kara pauses to do exactly that.
“Sorry,” Kara adds, again, after she’s let her lungs rest a bit. Her whole body feels shivery from head to toe, like she is seconds away from fainting, and honestly? She just might. “Anyway. Um. I can replace that book if you want. Or I can give you the money and you can pick out a better one, since you said you weren’t a fan? Whatever you want.”
Lena is quiet for a beat. “What were you going to say before? About when I was eleven?”
Kara bites her lip so hard she knows she will inevitably have to ask Kelly to heal it later. “Oh, that,” she says evasively. “I meant, when you were eleven, and I walked face-first into the wrong wall trying to get to platform nine and three quarters, and you didn’t even laugh at me. You just...helped me up, and promised you would walk with me to the train until I found my family again.”
“I remember,” Lena says, and her voice is softening, as is her expression. “You somehow got lost between platforms seven and eight. Your sister was furious when she caught up with us.”
“Yeah.” And Kara finds herself smiling at that memory; this time it’s a real smile, and she couldn’t stop it if she tried. “That was really nice.” She wants to mention more—how even when Lillian Luthor scowled at Kara’s hand-me-downs, Lena complimented her right away on the shirt that had once been Alex’s—but all Kara does right now is step back. “I’ve bothered you enough, I think. Will you…let me know? About the book?”
“I don’t care about the book,” Lena says, and she swallows, loud enough that Kara can hear it. “Do you mean it?”
“That you’re...nice?”
“Yes.” Lena’s cheeks are a faint pink color, and Kara’s entire mouth goes dry.
“Well, yeah,” Kara says, and in that moment—with Lena blushing, and Kara’s chest tightening—they both know that she’s confessing to so much more than thinking Lena is nice. “So. Um.” She squares her shoulders, and prepares to be brave enough to live up to the Gryffindor name: “Can I buy you something that’s not a book? Sometime? Maybe on our next trip to Hogsmeade?”
“Like a date?” Lena asks, so impossibly soft, and Kara nods.
“Exactly like a date,” Kara says, and honestly, she should demand ten points to Gryffindor herself because her voice does not waver once.
And Lena Luthor smiles, just cautious enough to show how unsure she is, but still warm enough that Kara’s heart skips a beat. “Okay,” she says. “But on one condition: I’ll handle any magic until then.”
“Deal,” Kara agrees, and it’s official; breaking her wand might have been the best thing that has ever happened to her, ever.

Part 2 of the Wild West WestWilder Duo
*taking place in Mary and Ryan’s loft. Iris has just told Ryan that she knows she is Batwoman and that her husband is The Flash*
Ryan: Wait a minute…the flash can travel through time?
Iris: *soft chuckle* That’s what you got from everything I told you…
Ryan: Yeah…that means he can go help me save my mama from being killed or he’ll stop Jada from abandoning me…let’s go!
Iris: Ry…he can’t *facial expression saddens* he already tried
Ryan: He tried?
Iris: His mother was killed and he tried to prevent it…it didn’t workout because that wasn’t meant to be.
Ryan: *scoffs* Damn…so I was meant to be alone
Iris: Obviously not…you have found your family, love, and even brought Jada back to you. My own mother abandoned me and we never got to fix what should’ve been but you did with Jada. Late is better than never. Your beginning may have been a stressful one but your present has been a gift and will continue. Don’t forget that Wilder
Ryan: *tears in her eyes* Damn you are good with words *hugs Iris* you are right…so question
Iris: ask away
Ryan: You said Barry saw me in this alternative future…what was I like? What can I be told?
Iris: All I can say is that…me and you became the best of friends. My sista *winks at Ryan *
Ryan: *flashes her charming smile* so I’m sister-zoned *laughs*
Iris: You fine as hell wild one but I saw your girlfriend…I think she would kick my ass if you was more than anything. *chuckles*
Ryan: *laughs* she would…that’s my Hotshot
Iris: Awww you call her your Hotshot…Barry’s my Lightning rod
Ryan: My name sounds cooler
*Iris playfully punches her*
*Ryan gets a message from Luke about the Batsignal going off*
Ryan: *the charming smile forms* You wanna see the Batcave?
*scene changes to Batcave. Luke suits up as Batwing, Alice suits up after becoming the masked vigilante Flamebird, and Sophie prepares to work backup with comms while Mary and Jordan have left for the clinic…when Ryan and Iris walk in*
Sophie: *looks right at Iris* What the hell is she doing here?
Ryan: Calm down, Iris is part of the super gang…her husband is The Flash
Alice: As in super fast lightning bolt hero of Central City *said excitedly *
*everyone looks at Alice with a shocked look*
Alice: What? His powers are cool
Sophie: *still distrusting* you believe her…she’s a journalist. Probably doing anything for a story.
Iris: I know this is out of nowhere but it’s true…I even knew your first batwoman Kate and she was a friend of my husband.
Luke: Wait a minute…your married name is Allen right?
Iris: Yeah
Luke: She is telling the truth, I once heard Kate and Kara talk about a Barry Allen helping them or something
Iris: Oh you know Kara *looks at Ryan* you got to meet her, she is the sweetest…she’s Supergirl
Ryan: I got some super friends to meet
Sophie: *rolls her eyes* anyways we have a problem Batwoman…finish suiting up. Apparently former Don Falcone soldiers have decided to make a return to Gotham.
*Ryan gets on her costume and gets ready to leave when…*
Iris: Wild one, how do you want me to help?
*Sophie mouths “wild one” with a face of annoyance*
Ryan: How do you normally help Flash
Iris: I work over the comms as backup or I get the strap
Ryan: Well then…it looks like Sophie got a partner. My girl knows a way around the strap
Alice: *mischievous smile* kinky *
Ryan: *embarrassed look* That came out wrong
Iris: *laughs*
Ryan: What I’m saying is…Luke, Alice, and I will go out in the field. Sophie and Iris y’all can work the comms and if we need you guys to show them how badass you two pretty ladies are, we got the bat bike for y’all to pull up.
Iris: Sounds good to me
Luke: Great! Let’s go!
*Luke, Ryan, and Alice leave…leaving Iris and Sophie together*
Iris: *speaks into comms* kick some ass wild one
In that moment, Sophie realized that she may be just a tad bit jealous of Iris. She has no reason to be because she knows Ryan loves her and the main factor is Iris is straight and married but even that thought didn’t stop her jealousy because she knows Ryan is a literal charmer, it’s like she was born with a superpower. She so charming, she caused Sophie’s mom to view lesbians in a better light and Diane Moore is strictly Bible, she even seen straight moms, who kids get taught by Ryan at the dojo, throw themselves at her. Whose to say Iris won’t fall for her? This mission was going to be a long night…she hopes she can survive
Part 3 will come later. Hope you enjoyed!!

Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader, Alex Danvers x Niece!Reader, Kelly Olsen x Niece!Reader
Word Count: 3120.
“What the actual fuck!”
“LANGUAGE!” Kara scolds Alex, pointing at you. “My kid is here!”
“Well, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but WE ARE KIDS TOO!” Alex runs to the front of the mirror, and you get out of her way. “This can’t be true! I’m gonna kill Brainy!”
She marches to the door looking like she will absolutely kill him. You wonder if you should do something, but Brainy can protect himself, besides you’re not a superhero anymore. You look at your moms. Kara and Lena are staring at each other, so shocked, nothing leaves their mouths.
“Moms?”
Kara seems to be the first one to come down from her shock. “I’m you! I’m about your age!”
“Yep! We’re one in the same.” You agree with a big smile. Alex is close by, yelling at Brainy to reverse this mess. You try to ignore her.
“That’s so cool!” Kara holds Lena’s hand, who still hasn’t said a word. “Love, I’ve always wanted to know you as a teen. Hey, now we can say that we have! And, YAY, I’m going to kiss you as a teen.” Kara’s face goes towards Lena’s, who sleekly moves away. “Lena!”
“Nope.” Your mom finally lets out. “You’re her. I’m not doing that, it’s weird.” She points at both of you and sits on the chair that is closest by. Her hands cover her face, and she lets out an exasperated sigh. “I told you not to mess with alien tech. Look what you've done.”
“I didn’t do this! It was Brainy.” You defend yourself, pointing at him instead.
“In my defense, I’m just trying to undo the mess you made.” He also ignores Alex for the sake of defending himself.
“Well, you’ve made more messes than I have now.”
“Only if we look at this numerically.”
“How else would we look at it?”
“You star-”
“STOP IT!” Lena yells, making everyone in the room flinch at the sound of her teen voice coming out so loud. “Both of you, stop it! I have a damn company to run and how the hell am I supposed to do that looking like a teenage girl?”
Kara opens her mouth, but before she has a chance to speak, Lena snaps at her again.
“Kara, I swear to GOD if you say ‘language’ right now, I’m going to curse in five different languages!”
“Someone’s a moody teenager.” Alex mutters and you hold your laugh, biting your lip, knowing damn well not to add into Lena’s moodiness.
“I think I can-” Brainy starts.
“NO!” Alex slaps his hand away from the piece of tech. “Do not touch that again.”
“But-” He tries.
“NO!” Kara yells protecting the tech with her own body. “I’m scared you might turn someone into a zombie next and they’ll come for me.”
“In that case, you don’t have to worry. Zombies eat brains, so you’re safe.” Alex looks at Kara and you look to the other side trying to hide your laughter again. Aunt Alex as a teen is way too funny.
“Hey!” Kara interjects.
“I just have to-” Brainy starts again.
“NO!” It’s Lena who says it this time. “You heard them! Step away from the alien tech. Actually, can we all get out of here and leave it for the kid to figure this out?”
“You know, you can’t call me ‘kid’ anymore. I think I’m actually older than you are, right now.”
“And I am actually still your mother, so you better find a way to reverse this, or you will be in deep-deep trouble, young lady.” Lena says and you drop your head low. Why is she still so scary even looking younger than you?
“But if the 12th-level intellect can’t find the solution, what chance do I have?”
“Well, you have the motivation.” Lena smiles at you, blinking her big green eyes at you. “Find the solution, don’t get grounded for messing with alien tech when I specifically told you not to.”
“Touché.”
“But how is this even possible?” Kara says, counting something on her fingers. She looks around confused. “We’re not all the same age, yet-”
“I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you.” Alex says and this time you can’t hold your laugh anymore. You wheeze out a laughter and Kara furrows her brows at you in response.
“You don’t know, do you?” She asks Alex, who denies with her head.
“No idea.”
“Ok, that’s it. Everyone out of this lab. Let’s all wait upstairs.” Lena points outside and you watch Brainy, Alex and Kara leaving with their heads hanging low.
“But I need help.” You mumble, but are left unanswered. You don’t know if they didn’t hear you or are just choosing to ignore you for the sake of Lena not yelling at them.
“So, we’re not gonna kiss?” It’s the last thing you hear before the door closes behind them.
“KARA!” Actually, that’s the last thing before you find yourself all alone in your lab with the alien tech in front of you.
It’s not that you’re scared of it, but yeah, being a baby and then a boy wasn’t the best experience in your life. Now your moms and aunt are teens. One is moody, the other is a sarcastic queen, and the other one is… Just… Kara.
You: Need help. Brainy turned our moms into teenagers.
Jamie: WHAT! OUR moms? This is gold!
You: Yeah, well, Lena is still scary as a teen, so I need a solution ASAP. Help. Please?
Jamie: Don’t know how I can help, but yeah. Sure. On my way now.
Jamie shows up some time later. You try to fill her in on what’s going on. She can’t stop laughing. Seriously. She can’t be stopped.
“I’m serious!” You roll your eyes at her reaction. “This is bad! Really bad.”
“I know. I wish we had popcorn.” She jokes, grabbing her phone in her pocket and going to the lab door. “Come on, I gotta see this with my own eyes.”
“Jamie.” You try. She ignores you, still going to the elevator.
“You said they’re at Lena’s office, right?” She’s already inside the elevator when you decide to follow her. She smiles satisfied when she sees you. “Relax.” She says pushing the button for Lena’s floor. “We’ll say we need to assess the situation, or like, whatever.”
“Fine. Just be aware, your mom is a savage.”
“Oh, I’m counting on it. I’m going to film the whole thing. Whenever I say something she doesn’t like, I’ll use this video as proof I’m not as bad as she was.”
You two sneak into the top floor, but there’s no need. Your mom’s assistant was sent home. Lena probably didn’t want to explain how she was turned back into a teenager. You open a little crack on the door and Jamie sneaks in her phone so she can film them.
Brainy is no longer with them, so right now only the three of them are in the office. Lena’s on her chair, still doing some work even as a teen. Alex is on the couch and Kara is impatiently walking from one side to the other.
“Seriously Alex, what do you think? I could wear Superkid’s suit, and no one would know.” She asks, looking at Alex waiting for a response. It doesn’t come. “Alex?”
“There’s no need to repeat yourself, I ignored you just fine the first time.” It’s what Alex says. You and Jamie try not to laugh out loud.
“Rao, you’re the worst teenager ever!” Kara complains, throwing herself in the chair in front of Lena. “Lena. Hey.” No response. “Lenaaaaaa, do you have any snacks?”
“Kara, I’m trying to work.” Lena shots her down, making Kara roll her eyes.
“Why? We’re teens. We’re not supposed to work. Besides, it’s not like anyone can hear your voice or see your face right now. Am I right, Alex?”
“I stopped listening, so why don’t you stop talking?” It’s what Alex answers. You seriously have to cover your mouth not to make any sound.
“You’re not funny. Just very cruel.”
“Yes, well. It keeps me young.” She winks at Kara. You and Jamie laugh so loud, Kara stands up in one motion, grabbing Jamie’s wrist -the one with the phone still filming- and you watch your cousin being lifted over Kara’s head. She struggles trying to put her feet back on the ground.
“It looks like we have company.” Kara says finally putting Jamie back on her feet, and you get up from the floor and go inside the office too.
“I thought I told you to reverse this!” Lena says, looking at you. You shrug.
“Well, I needed to see how you’re all thinking.” You lie, trying to justify yourself. “Momma doesn’t seem to have changed at all and you’re still working, but aunt Alex seems to have turned into a teen completely.”
“I have not.” She stands up, crossing her arms. “It’s just nice to annoy Kara. Now, I would very much like to return to my old body.”
“Me too! Lena doesn’t even want to make out with me anymore.”
“Oh, dear God.” Lena gets up, going to her cocktail bar and pouring herself a glass of whiskey.
“What are you doing? You can’t drink! You’re not old enough!” You tell her and she looks at you with wide eyes.
“Yes, I am! I’m a forty-six woman in a teenage girl’s body!”
“Well.” You take the glass of whiskey out of her hands. “When I was a sixteen-year-old girl in a baby’s body you fed me baby food, so I guess we’re respecting that rule. That means no drinking for you.” You look at Kara. “And no, you cannot use my super suit and go save the world, because, like I told you, Superkid doesn’t exist anymore. Now, be nice and go buy us some snacks.” Then, you turn to Alex. “And you, stop giving Kara a hard time or I’ll call your wife and have her come and babysit all of you. Now, if you can excuse us, the older ones must figure out a way out of this mess.”
“She’s your daughter alright.” Kara mumbles, looking at Lena and you shoot her a warning look.
Kara follows you and Jamie out of the office and into the elevator. Jamie looks at both of you with a weird expression.
“I thought one was more than enough.” Then she agrees with her head, looking away. “I was right.”
“And you’re Alex’s daughter alright.” Kara steps out of the elevator when it gets on the ground floor and you hear Aly talking to her.
“Hello, Miss Luthor-Danvers! It’s good to see you.”
“Oh, um, yeah! It’s me!” Kara says and you look at Jamie rolling your eyes.
“You know what? The sooner we finish this, the better.” You push the button for the underground level, and it doesn’t take long for you and Jamie -kind of- start working.
You absolutely hate the fact that you started messing with alien technology in the first place. You should’ve listened to Lena when she told you not to touch it. Kara comes in and out with food, Jamie takes several naps next to you, but you keep working.
“Ok, honestly. That’s enough.” Jamie gets up, holding your arm. “We’re going home. They’re not going to die being teens for a day. I mean, you didn’t die being a boy, so they’re cool.”
“Lena told me to find the solution.”
“Yes, well. She said, ‘find the solution’ not ‘find it today’. So, we’re leaving.” Jamie sighs, tired. You look at the clock and agree with your head. “Let’s take our teens home.”
And despite protests, you all go home. It’s funny that none of them can drive, so Jamie is the one left driving all of you around in Lena’s fancy car. You can tell Lena is not enjoying the ride, but there’s not much she can do about it.
“And here we are.” Jamie says, stopping in front of your house.
“Why are our lives so goddamn weird?” It’s how Alex says goodbye, and you look at Jamie raising an eyebrow.
“Good luck with her.” You slip out of the car and follow your moms into the house.
“Well, I’ll go watch TV.” You hear Kara’s voice, and she makes her way to the living room. You look at Lena who just shrugs.
“Meh, guess I’ll do that too.”
“Ok, no.” You follow Kara and turn off the TV. She interjects, but you ignore. “You’re going to take a shower, and Lena is going to help me with dinner.”
“I don’t wanna.” Lena says, throwing herself on the couch and you breathe deep.
“Ok, come on. You guys are not actually teens. Stop being annoying!” You take the control out of Kara’s hand again, when she motions turning the TV back on.
“And you’re not our mom, so stop bossing us.” Kara complains. You breathe deep one more time.
“I wouldn’t have to boss you, if you would just act your age, young lady!” You hear yourself saying that and your eyes widen. “Look at what you’re making me say! My God, I hate myself right now.” You toss the control back at her. “Do whatever you want, I don’t care.”
You still go to the kitchen and get started on dinner. How dare they make you be the responsible adult in the house? They only look young. They’re not actually young. Right?
Jamie: Why does my mom keep acting like a young brat? Isn’t she supposed to be like 50 but look younger?
You: Maybe? My moms are also being immature right now.
Jamie: Do you think their minds are catching up to their body?
You: Maybe???
“Mom!” You call but hear no answer. “Lena!”
“Ugh, what? Can you just leave me alone for like a second?” Lena’s voice comes a while later.
You run to where they are. They’re sitting on the same couch holding hands.
“What’s going on here?” You ask and receive rolling eyes as an answer. Those little weasels!
“God, you’re so annoying for a teen. Are you sure you’re not a 60-year-old woman?” Lena says and you bite your tongue not to answer her. “We’re holding hands, ‘cause this one apparently needs human contact to survive.”
“Well, aren’t you a ray of pitch-black as a teen?” You go back to the kitchen and finish the dinner. But they’re awfully quiet in the living room, so you make your way there in silence to see what’s going on. “Wow, that’s a big kiss!”
You interrupt them, like Kara once has done to you and Maya. They are breathless and flushed and are now shooting daggers at you.
“Dinner is ready.” You say but none of them move. They’re really starting to annoy you. “Did you listen?”
“We’re choosing to ignore you.” Lena says and you close your eyes, breathing deep a few times. Come on, you’re not that annoying as a teen. She’s the worst.
“Get up, come on.” You make your way towards them, hold Kara’s arms and make her stand. “Come eat, and then we’re going to sleep. I can’t stand you both anymore. Go on, Kara. Don’t make me say it twice.”
At that she obeys. Lena still rolls her eyes at you once more, before getting up and going to the kitchen table. You thought it would be a lot more fun having your moms being your own age. You felt like they would understand you, but instead they’re so self-centered it is impossible to hold a conversation. There’s no doubt, their minds are catching up to their bodies for sure.
“Hey, hey, hey.” You stop them, before they run out of the kitchen. “You two are not sleeping together. And you still have to do the dishes and clean the kitchen.” You smile, actually excited you get to say that to them. “Go on.”
You don’t even care about the rolling eyes, and the mumbles under their breaths. You’re sitting while they do all the work. You get now why Lena likes bossing you so much. It is fun!
You don’t let them sleep together. You already saw way too much when you went to the living room earlier. So Kara’s stuck sleeping with you, and the moody teen gets to sleep alone in the other bedroom.
It’s early when you wake up. Jamie, Kelly and teen Alex show up at your house sooner than you’d like.
“Ok, I’m going to the lab, you stay here and try to wake my moms up.” You tell Kelly and look at Jamie who grabs the car keys at your signal. “You might have to hire an exorcist for Lena.”
“Can’t be worse than this one.” Kelly points at Alex with her head, who rolls her eyes in response. You fight the urge to roll your eyes at Alex and leave with Jamie.
“Do we roll our eyes that much?” You ask her and she agrees with her head.
“Not anymore. My God, that shit’s annoying!”
You go back to the lab, and surprise! You can’t do it alone. But since Lena’s not around – physically or mentally – you call Brainy, and he shows up a while later to help you.
“Ok, this time, I think we actually got it.” He says and you agree with your head.
“After we undo this thing, I swear to Rao I’m breaking this machine into a thousand pieces.” You look at Jamie. “Ok, call your mami. Time to bring them back.”
It’s not long until Kelly shows up with three moody teenagers fighting behind her. She looks as done as you imagine you would with their bullshit. You pray to Rao this works. You’re done with this tech, and this nonsense all together.
You shove them inside your lab. Show Kara which button to press – she’s the less annoying one – and the rest of you wait outside.
“You did it!” Kara says, opening the lab door, excitedly. You look at them looking normal again and breathe relieved.
“Thank Rao.” You hug both of your moms, while Kelly and Jamie hug Alex. “You two were terrible teenagers.”
“Well, you handled us very well, babygirl.” Lena kisses your forehead. “I love you guys. But, um, I have to go to work.”
Lena leaves in a hurry. Kara, Alex and Brainy also excuse themselves running out of your lab back to their jobs, and you find yourself alone with Jamie.
“Hey. Help me with this?” You give her a piece of wood and point at the alien tech. She nods with a big smile.
Bye, bye weird situations alien tech put you through. Hello, weird situations your life puts you through.
Notes:
Once again thanks @oncemoonie for this fun prompt. I had too much fun with this series.

Action Comics #254
Tumblr media
Cover Date: July 1959 | Written by Otto Binder | Art by Jim Mooney
Read in Supergirl - the Silver Age vol. 1 | NOTE: These commentaries are going to be very spoiler heavy.
When last we saw Linda she had just helped her friend Timmy get adopted and comment a few times in the issue that she’s not ready to be adopted because her cousin, Superman, told her that she needed to wait until she mastered her powers. I wonder what adventure awaits her this issue!
Tumblr media
...Oh.
“Supergirl’s Foster Parents!” is our story this time, and as our splash panel informs us that she’s been adopted by Mom and Dad Dale.
Hmm. Dale. that certainly isn’t “Danvers”. Even if I didn’t already know that Linda eventually gets adopted by the Danvers family, and that she is definitely still an orphan a few issues later, both the intro blurb and Supergirl’s thought bubble already make this set-up sound sketchy as hell!
We start our story with some random child at the orphanage approaching Linda to tell her that she’s got a faraway look in her eyes, somethings that I think the fellow children of Midvale Orphanage would quickly get used to seeing. Linda tries to play it off like she was daydreaming, but the truth is that she was using her telescopic vision to view an army rocket that’s falling from the sky after a botched launch.
So Linda finds a secluded place and changes into her Supergirl outfit and flies to stop the rocket from falling. She grabs it and swings the rocket upward so that it can finish its mission of establishing a satellite in orbit.
It’s kind of odd that the rocket would be able to carry on and do its job after nearly falling out of the sky. But somehow it seems to work out.
Once back at the orphanage, the kids are listening to a newscast about the rocket. The news anchor calls the event a miracle, while Linda thinks to herself about how the scientists will never know how it happens and winks at the reader.
I’m not kidding.
Tumblr media
The very next panel transitions to later in the day where Linda and some of the other girls are helping in the kitchen when the Dales arrive at the orphanage.
Side note before we get into this main story. The boat that Supergirl is towing in the splash panel and the rocket that she just saved never come up again. They were completely throwaway events in the issue presumably to just show off Kara’s strength and pad out the page count.
I’ve started to notice this about the stories from this time period, they often have just random events occur that have nothing to do with the main story and doesn’t really give us much insight (like this time, we already know Supergirl is strong).
Just a random thought I’ve had while reading. It’s funny that back then they needed to add in random, non-sequitur events to pad out books that were already two to three stories long, and now lots of time we can’t complete one story in just one issue.
Changing times, indeed. Anyway, back to the Dales!
The couple immediately take a keen interest in Linda, so to combat that she uses her x-ray vision to burn the roast that she was baking, hoping that “they won’t want a careless girl who spoils food!”, according to Linda.
Which, deciding you wouldn’t want a kid just because she can’t cook is awful. But, DIFFERENT ERAS. Just like I talked about last time, our expectations as a society have shifted greatly over the years.
Plus, Linda’s plan doesn’t even work because apparently Mr. Dale likes a roast charred. You do you, buddy.
The Dales absolutely love Linda and decide to adopt her. Linda feels she has to accept as turning the opportunity down would raise suspicions. According to Miss Hart, the orphanage’s headmistress, there’s a thirty day trial period which honestly, just by her bringing it up tells you how things are going to go.
Even while they’re still in the car, they begin lavishing Linda with presents, which makes Linda hopeful that they’ll be nice parents.
They finally get home to the Dales’ residence: a traveling circus.
Tumblr media
It seems that the Dales run the sideshow for a traveling circus and they want Linda to be their new Strong Girl act, using rigged props to make people think that Linda’s actually very strong (yes Linda notes the irony in this).
Father Dale shows off his “Colonel Dale” outfit for the sideshow, which is just a hat and a handlebar mustache that makes him look sinister as hell.
Linda is impressed by the clever props and thinks it’s going to be fun for her. She also makes it a point to state that running a sideshow isn’t a dishonest way to make a living, despite no one questioning it up until that point, which (a) sounds like she’s trying to convince herself more than anyone, and (b) is obvious foreshadowing.
Tumblr media
And the very next panel after this one shows Mom Dale putting up a sign for “POWER TONIC! SECRET FORMULA OF MEDICINE MEN! ONLY $10 A BOTTLE!”
Quick side note: $10 by 1959 standards is $101.78 BY 2022 STANDARDS!
This is an obvious scam, even if Mom Dale didn’t actively admit in the panel that it was by thinking to herself “The yokels will be fooled by her fake ‘strong girl’ act and the fake tonic we’re selling!”. But she did think that to the audience, and any pretenses that we were supposed to like these people are officially out the window.
They set the sign up in a place that Linda won’t see it, and she seems to have a pretty fun day doing these fake feats of strength, some of which are pretty elaborate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another side note: yeah the whole “tug of war” she has with the elephant feels pretty cruel by today’s standards. Yes, I know elephants actually like to play, but I doubt they’re a fan of being in captivity and I really doubt that they’re being treated well by this sideshow run by con artists. But if we’ve established that we didn’t value kids back in 1959 as much as we do now, we sure as hell didn’t value animals as much as we do now.
But once again, the only thing we can really do sixty-three years after the fact is acknowledge that unpleasantness and continue on.
After Linda’s finished her show, Mom Dale tries to quickly usher her away from the sideshow under the guise of showing her the rest of the circus.
Linda finds Mom’s behavior suspicious and uses her telescopic vision to see what’s happening at the sideshow tent, and sure enough, she sees Dad Dale hawking the Power Tonic.
Realizing that her foster parents are con people and that they only adopted her to help swindle customers breaks Linda’s little heart.
Tumblr media
Look at that sad face. :(
Linda decides that it’s her job to put a stop to this, she just has to figure out how. Which involves her basically spying on her parents all evening. Later that night while she’s in bed she sees her father getting a shipment of the latest “Power Tonic” form a chemist that they apparently deal with. I wonder what the chemist’s cut is?
It’s also stated that Power Tonic is just sugar and ginger flavored water, which makes me wonder why they needed a chemist to come up with this. Kind of just feels like they’re paying an extra person they don’t have to. But that’s just me, I am no master con person.
Linda vows to put a stop to them, but first! Another non-sequitur action scene!
Apparently the landing lights at a nearby airport went out, leaving a plane to make its landing in the dark.
Supergirl rushes into action, grabbing a pole from a local junkyard and scrapping it across the ground of the runway fast enough to create enough sparks to light up the runways, allowing the plane to land safely, with the pilot assuming that they simply got the lights back up and running in time.
Tumblr media
No, of course this doesn’t have any bearing on the main plot, and it never gets mentioned again. Neat little act of heroism though. Can you imagine how fast she must be traveling in order to make sparks kicked up from a pipe along concrete actually look like a fully lit up runway?
The following day the Dales (Linda included) are walking the elephant to the sideshow for Linda’s Strong Girl act, and the poor elephant stumbles after tripping in a ditch. The elephant’s about to tumble into the Dales, but Linda saves them, grabbing the elephant and lifting it high over her head. She had a thought bubble about how she didn’t have enough time to save them discreetly, and as she’s holding this elephant over her head she’s terrified that she’s going to have to confess that she’s Supergirl.
But, Linda has an idea on the fly and proclaims that she’s just as shocked by this turn of events as they are, and adds in that she drank a gingery drink earlier.
This causes Dad Dale to jump to the conclusion that somehow this new batch of Power Tonic actually works as advertised. He runs and guzzles a bottle down himself.
Linda didn’t plan for that but thankfully all Dad did in an attempt to test his power is to pry some bars apart, which Linda aids by using her x-ray vision to soften the metal... I’m not sure that’s how that works, but I’m no expert.
We jump to the Dales driving, father proclaiming that the Power Tonic wore off quickly, but he’s convinced that it works and is on his way to buy the formula from the chemist.
At the same time, Supergirl is racing above to reach the chemist first.
In the next panel we see Mom and Dad Dale buying the tonic formula from the chemist, who seems pretty chill with selling it.
And in the very next panel, we see the Dales leaving and also that the chemist is actually a puppet being controlled by Supergirl through a skylight in the roof. According to her thought bubble she was able to put this puppet together before the Dales got there. And she lured the real chemist away with a fake phone call. And she was able to convince the Dales with her super-ventriloquism, which is something I didn’t realize Supergirl could do.
But none of that accounts for how Supergirl got the mouth to move. IF she did. I assume she did because otherwise the Dales just didn’t notice that the person they were talking to didn’t have a moving mouth despite talking!
AND ANOTHER THING, HOW DID THEY NOT SEE THE WIRES? LIKE, THEY STOOD IN FRONT OF THIS PUPPET BEING HELD UP BY STRING AND SOMEHOW DIDN’T NOTICE???
This whole bit is so random and makes no sense!
Anyway.
Supergirl also tells us that the Dales used all the money that they had made from selling the fake Power Tonic to buy the recipe. A little later she uses her telescopic vision to check in on the Dales and father Dale is distraught because this new Power Tonic isn’t working, and he realizes that he can’t tell the cops that the chemist cheated him because the chemist could always just out the Dales as frauds themselves.
That evening Supergirl flies around returning all the stolen money to its rightful owners. How did she know who to give it to you ask? Why, with her super-memory. With it she was able to memorize the face of every person that bought the fake stuff. She uses her super-breath to blow the money in through the window, letting the person think that somehow money just randomly floated into their house.
Linda then reports back to the orphanage and tells them that the Dales no longer have the funds to support her. Upon hearing this Miss Hart tears up their adoption papers on the spot, which I just find amusing.
Linda then thinks about how she’s an orphan again, and hopes that she’ll find an honest family someday, then sighs.
Poor Kara, alone again at the orphanage. I know this is going to be her status quo for a while, but it’s still sad.
Tumblr media
As you can see, the previous five paragraphs of description happened over the course of four panels. Which is crazy pacing. Considering how much time they devoted to action scenes that had absolutely nothing to do with the plot, I can’t help but wonder if maybe they should have taken some of those scenes out to at least give the climax of the story a few more panels. But, pacing and flow in silver-age comics were all over the place.
Besides wanting to read Supergirl comics specifically, going back and reading old silver-age comics is so much fun. They were so different from the current ones. The pacing, how panels were laid out, how the action in those panels flowed. It’s so much fun learning about the history of the comic medium.
And it’s so much fun learning more and more about my favorite Kryptonian!

Just In Case (Emily x Reader)
Tumblr media
Request: Emily x reader where the reader is deployed in to the military and got permission to video call Emily while she is at camp and something happens to the base while on the call and it ends the call with no goodbye and then like the team seeing news articles and trying to get in contact with reader but they can’t and Emily eventually gets notified that’s she’s in the hospital
There was nothing quite like waiting for the little green dot to appear next to your Skype name. The way excitement mixed with anxiety and impatience. How your wife never knew exactly what state you would be in, only that you would greet her with a wide (probably exhausted) smile.
It was rare that Emily actually got to call you while you were deployed. You were the assigned medic to a forward operating special ops unit, meaning you spent more time in the middle of nowhere doing dangerous missions than you did on base. She was excited she’d get to see your smiling face after almost a month (a year since she’d actually seen you in person).
She jumped when the little dot appeared on the screen (much to Lindsey and Kelley’s enjoyment) and clicked on your little icon.
The screen blinked, and your wide smile greeted her. “Hey darling, how’s champ camp?” Your little southern twang came through the computer.
Emily mirrored your smile (your accent always made her swoon just a little), Turning the camera so you could see your two best friends also waving at you. “Super fun. Me and Linds beat Kelley during the scrimmage,”
You smirked at your wife, shaking your head. You knew how competitive they all were (it had led to some very fun game nights at your house- especially with your wife who adamantly refused to be competitive off the pitch). “Bet the squirrel loved that,”
Emily shrugged. “She’s not taking it so well,”
She again pointed the camera towards your pouting sister. You cracked a smile at the woman.
“I’ll get her next time, don’t worry,” Kelley winked at the screen.
You looked off to the side for a second, nodding to whoever was talking to you behind your computer.
Emily wasn’t upset, hell she was more than used to the two of you never really being alone (you were the team leader after all). Instead, she took the opportunity to take in your features. Every new wrinkle of your forehead or dark circle under your eye (that looked more like a bruise or black eye at this point). Was that a new scar you kept rubbing under your chin?
Emily shook her head. She didn’t even want to think about how you got that until you were back safe in her arms. Your job was dangerous, she didn’t need any reminders.
“How are you holding up?” She asked, drawing your attention back towards her. It was a safe question, one she knew she could ask over a live feed. One that didn’t cross any “clearance” lines you had warned her about (though she was sure that your superiors knew you told her many stories deemed classified over the years in the safety of your bedroom).
You shrugged, your crooked smile not quite meeting your eyes. “I’m alright. Super tired. We just got to base a little while ago,”
Your vague answer didn’t surprise her. You didn’t like to worry her, and half of your missions were pretty secretive anyway. It was one thing to share your darkest stories, the things you had seen that you couldn’t un-see, while the two of you were pressed together, and another to try and explain from a million miles away.
Your wife knew how your job weighed on you.
“But you’re ok?” She pressed, unwilling to let you deflect the question. She needed to know. You ran a hand through your tousled hair (one of your biggest tells), leaning forward just a bit. “Just some bruises. Promise.” You paused, leaning forward, your fake playful smile reappearing with a wiggle of your eyebrows, “What about you? Kelley’s a beast on the field,”
Emily cracked a smile, despite her worry. “I’m good babe, but Lindsey’s got a nice one,”
“Ooo let me see,” you said, leaning closer to the screen like a little kid. Emily turned the computer so you could harass Lindsey instead of her.
“No,” the midfielder pouted, crossing her arms.
“Come on, I’ll show you mine if you show me yours,” You wined dramatically as Emily turned the computer around and Kelley butted into the frame.
“That sounds like some teenage boy-...” She started, only to be cut off by a loud crash and the blaring of an alarm.
“Fuck,” you hissed, looking off-screen, as more yelling started, and the screen shook.
“Babe-“ Emily said, and you glanced back at the screen as if suddenly realizing your wife was still there.
“I love you Em. I’m sorry I gotta go,” you said quickly, looking directly in the camera.
Then the call ended. The screen went blank and the three women sat frozen. Emily very slowly placed her hand over where your face had been mere seconds ago. “Love you too, be safe,”
The “please,” was softer, almost breathless. And the sound broke Kelley and Lindsey’s hearts. All they could do was hope you would be alright.
****
Emily had learned to not read the news reports a long, long time ago, on your first deployment (back when the two of you had only been dating for six months).
As it turned out, most of the time they had no real information about what was going on. They just reported on the overarching bad thing that was happening, or whatever appeared to be happening, and tended to ignore the boots on the ground (your words not Emily’s).
But still, she couldn’t help but stare at the articles rolling in about an attack on one of the bases near where she knew you were stationed. Especially after the abrupt end to your semi-distracted phone call.
“Em, reading it repeatedly isn’t going to change the words,” Kelley said softly, prying the phone from her grasp and sticking it on the chair beside her.
Emily sighed heavily. “It’s just hard,” she mumbled, scrubbing a hand over her eyes.
Lindsey, Kelley, and the rest of the table nodded understandingly. They may not have the same relationship with you that Emily did, but they loved you all the same.
It was terrifying to not know where you were, or if you were alright, but they had to be strong for Emily right now.
“She didn’t answer your text yet?” Lindsey asked, reaching across the table to grasp Emily’s hand tightly. You might not be able to call, but texting was usually a good way to get a hold of you.
Emily bit her lip, shaking her head tightly. “Nah uh,”
She pinched the bridge of her nose. It wasn’t uncommon for you to go radio silent, especially when you were on a mission, but it had been 4 days since your phone call and You always sent her a little a-ok when you were finished with whatever you were doing. She was starting to get worried.
“What about Kara, she’s always with her,” Kelley asked gently, rubbing her back, mentioning your best friend.
The two of you were practically attached at the hip, but as you always said, experience in a war zone will do that go people. Kara was your right-hand man and always answered Emily, especially when you weren’t.
“She hasn’t answered either,” Emily mumbled, shaking her head. The women at the table all shared a look. The last time Kara hadn’t responded while the two of you were away, you had been stuck doing emergency surgery on one of your guys in the field after an IED blew up one of the hummers in your convoy.
“I’m sure they’re just busy. You know the news likes to make a big deal out of nothing. They always do,” Lindsey said reassuringly.
“Yeah, and no news is good news right?” Kelley added, with a half-smile.
A dark look crossed Emily’s features. She knew (and feared) what happened when things went wrong. She dreaded that phone call or god forbid an officer showing up with your “just in case” letter (one she knew you always carried with you, but she had never physically seen).
“Only until it isn’t,” she said softly, her voice deadly serious. The women at the table sobered and nodded, equally as somber. It was a terrifying truth that was easier to ignore than confront.
“I’m sure she’s just busy being a hero,” Lindsey said softly, leaning over to grab Emily’s hand tightly, as Kelley squeezed the woman comfortingly.
“I hope you’re right,” Emily sighed.
“She promised Em, and she never breaks her promises,” Kelley said, equally as serious, trying to hide just how worried she was. You swore you’d always come back to them, and she would kick your ass if you didn’t.
*****
It felt like Emily’s heart was going to beat out of her chest. It was hammering harder than it ever had, even after a full ninety. She tapped her foot impatiently, waiting for the receptionist to find your room and clear her with the MP’s apparently stationed outside your room.
The second she got the 3 am call, it had been a mad dash to get here. The drive from Orlando to the hospital at the Jacksonville Air Force base was a blur, but she was pretty sure Kelley had broken just about every speed law there was to get her here faster (and to get herself here too, she was your sister after all).
“I’m her wife. I have permission to see her,” Emily growled at the poor receptionist, who continued to rapidly type on her computer.
“I’m sorry miss, but due to the circumstances I have to check,” She clicked her tongue, leaning forward to get a better look at the screen, apparently oblivious to Emily’s growing rage.
Kelley placed a careful hand on Emily’s arm, trying to quell the brewing storm before the receptionist took the brunt of it.
“Fuck the circumstances. Let me see my wife,”  Emily hissed, completely ignoring Kelley’s “calm down Sonnett,” (your older sister was worried too, but flipping out at a receptionist wasn’t going to help their cause).
“I’m trying ma’am. We have protocols too, especially after a Rescue and Evacuation,” the woman behind the counter sighed, more frustrated than sympathetic. Emily’s eyes widened. Kara hadn’t said anything about a rescue mission over the phone, only that you were hurt and being transferred to Florida from a hospital in London.
“A what?!!” Emily screeched, and Kelley grabbed the back of her hoodie to prevent her from launching herself over the counter at the frightened-looking receptionist.
Before the woman behind the counter could respond, your very tired-looking best friend appeared around the corner.
“Hey, Em. She’s back this way,” Kara smiled tightly at your wife, nodding towards the receptionist and gesturing down a hallway to her left.
“Oh thank god,” Kelley sighed, practically shoving Emily into Kara’s arms. Kara caught her, and held her hand out to your older sister, carefully beginning to guide them down the maze of hallways.
“I have to warn you, she’s in pretty rough shape,” Kara said softly as they approached the door, her hand pausing on the handle to look both women in the eyes. Emily and Kelley both nodded solemnly, steeling themselves as Kara gently pushed the door open.
“Damn,” Emily and Kelley gasped as they stepped through the threshold and took in your sleeping form.
Your normally strong form looked so small under the mass of tubes and wires surrounding you (but Kelley notes that you were very much breathing on your own). The whole left side of your face was bruised, and the left half of your chest and arm was wrapped tightly in gauze.
Emily very carefully approached the bed, her fingers hovering over your right side, afraid to touch you and cause you more pain.
“Oh baby,” She breathed out, settling into the chair beside your bed, finally grabbing your uninsured hand very gently and pulling it to her lips.
She heard Kelley ask “What happened?”, but her eyes never left your face.
Kara blew out a long breath, seemingly trying to steady herself. “Our base got attacked- retaliation for freeing a village probably,”
Kelley raised her eyebrow at the woman. She wanted to know everything, not the edited version.
Kara swallowed hard before continuing. “We split into teams. One to pull security and one to evacuate the hospital. We lost communication after one of our own went Rogue. In the chaos, an intruder slipped through us and went to attack the hospital wing. Y/n got ambushed trying to get an injured private to the helicopter,”
Silence stretched between them as the soccer stars tried to take in the story. It was so you to do everything in your power to help someone else, even if it was dangerous or detrimental to you.
“How bad is it,” The words left Emily’s mouth barely above a whisper, muffled slightly by your hand still at her lips.
“She got hit 3 times. One was a through and through to the shoulder. It chipped her collar bone, but mostly just got some soft tissue. The other two were worse. The through and through in her leg nicked an artery, and the other one in her chest did some damage. Luckily she was able to drag herself back to the hospital wing and they could get her stable. The PJ’s got her to London and they did emergency surgery,” Kara listed off, rubbing the back of her neck and closing her eyes tightly.
Emily didn’t doubt that seeing you like that was probably one of the most difficult things Kara ever had to do, and she felt bad for making her relive that.
“Is she gonna be alright?” Kelley asked after a few seconds, cracking with emotion.
Kara nodded. “Yeah, Lena looked over the X-rays. Said that she would need a lot of rehab, but she should make a pretty full recovery. Right now she’s just sedated to help with the pain,”
Emily felt her heart unclench at the news, made even sweeter by the mention of Kara’s own wife. Lena was a straight shooter, someone who was brutally honest and equally deft at her job (which was part of the reason the two of you got on so well). She wouldn’t bullshit them and give them false hope.
“Thank you,” Emily croaked. Kara snorted and shook her head.
“Wasn’t me. She promised you she’d make it and she wasn’t about to let you down,”
You had dragged yourself nearly 800 yards to the hospital wing, and the only thing they said you said was that you couldn’t die because you swore to your wife you’d come home. Kara was convinced that you had survived purely on adrenaline and stubbornness (that and dumb luck). At least she hadn’t had to deliver your just in case letter.
Emily smiled softly at your sleeping form, allowing the steady beep of your heart and your warm hand to comfort her “I know,”
It was easy to relax now that you were here safe in her arms. Sure, you would have a long road to recovery (and getting you to actually follow the doctor's orders was bound to be a fight), but you were alive with no imminent threat hanging above your head.
She would be there for you every step of the way.

Harrison Wells (Eobard Thawne) x Reader Ballistic Confrontations (1/3)
Tumblr media
**A/N: The picture/edit/gif belongs to me!
Yes, I’m alive.
*TW: mentions of suicide, drowning, and cutting. Along with Eobard being a dramatic bitch*
Word Count: 3184
Part 2   Part 3
Felicity deadpanned with Harry beside her on one of the Cortex monitors. She had glanced to all her friends. “The bottom line is that we have to catch these parallel-earth goose-steppers.” Everyone was well aware of her dislike towards Nazi’s. The things they had done on this earth to her ancestors and to people like her. Utterly Disgusting.
“This might help,” Barry stepped in, holding up a blood-stained arrow.
“Is that a kryptonite arrow?” Kara’s sister, Alex, unfurled her arms as she gently took the lethal arrow away from him.
“Yup,” Barry responded with a sigh, hands at his hips while the others rounded together. He felt exhausted from chasing around Eobard while Kara and Oliver dealt with their doppelgangers. Years later and he still wasn’t fast enough to stop the yellow speedster.
“I know I shouldn't have to ask this question, but I have to ask this question.” Felicity interjected with quick words; worry seeded in her chest. “Oliver didn't shoot Kara, did he?”
“Sort of,” Barry replied, further clarifying with a face. The days just keep getting worse and worse with these parallel-dimension-hoppers. “The other Archer and flying woman are Oliver and Kara of Earth-X.”
“When you said that Earth-X was horrible,” Caitlin glanced back at Harry, who had raised a hand in mock defeat, “you might have undersold it.”
“Wait a minute. How- how could there be another Kara?” Alex was thoroughly confused; she was still new to the concept of parallel earths doppelgangers.
“Well, there are 53 Karas, just like there's 53 Kryptons and 53 Earths.” Harry explained simply.
“And the Thawne from our earth is working with them.” Barry gave a look, clearly annoyed at the fact that Thawne was back. Again. Thawne coming back due to time travel and the Speedforce were already giving him a headache just thinking about it all over again.
Caitlin just gave Barry an incredulous look. “He's an idiot.” Harry plainly stated.
Felicity already was thinking up of ways to track them down. “Ok, if that arrow has not-so-Supergirl's blood on it, we c—"
“We could track it using quantum analysis.” Harry cut her off, but she just nodded at his words.
“We could.”
***___***
“Harry, Cait, Iris,” Barry unfurled his arms and gestured to them with his head for a sidebar. The others were busy with Alex in isolating the city for Kara-X’s radioactive blood signatures. Felicity’s specialty. After all, she was able to track a deranged killer with just his face cream. “Whatever happens, (Y/N) can’t know Thawne’s here.” Both scientists gave odd looks to each other at the speedster’s words.
“Barry she’s going to find out one way or another, she’s part of this team too,” Iris voiced, side-glancing the door as if you’d step in at any moment.
“If he’s working with them, she has the right to know.” Caitlin added. “She should know what to expect.”
“Allen, unless you decide to lock her up in the pipeline until this is all over, she’ll find out.” Harry said. “You can’t possibly hide this from her forever.” The genius scientist hinted at the fact that when Barry had run back in time last year, Thawne had been the one to ‘fix’ things when really, he had altered the timeline. A timeline created to suits him and his plans. Even going as far to tell Barry that this was how the timeline was supposed to be before Thawne had caused the alteration when he had time-traveled back to kill Nora and escalated into what is now Team Flash. Three different timelines had been created, but this one, according to Thawne, is how the original one should have been. Just with a few… absences… Like Eddie and Ronnie. Barry had never mentioned any of this to you or the fact that Thawne had ended up escaping him that night. The scarlet speedster did not want you looking for the man in the yellow suit. But it seems that fate’s not on Barry’s side this time.
“Harry, I can’t have her chasing after him. Not with all this going on,” Barry protested. “One maniacal problem at a time.”
“Whether she does or doesn’t is up to her, Allen. You’re not a god.” Harry pursed his lips before heading to the side lab.
Barry ran his tongue over his lips tightly, frowning deeply at the echoed words. He didn’t need this right now. Those words stung the speedster, mainly with the aftermath of his time remnant – Savitar - claiming god-hood, wanting to alter everything and anything in his way to stay alive. Even to kill the love of his life. Jay Garrick told him that when he ran back to this timeline a year ago. ‘We’re not gods, Barry.’
How did Wells know about that? Maybe he didn’t. But it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that time-traveling powers shouldn’t be abused like that. Yet… Thawne always gets away with it. He gets away with barely a scratch. I can be one step ahead, but he’ll be 15 steps further.
Caitlin gave her friend a sympathetic look, exchanging one with Iris. Alex and Felicity were still present in the room, but too preocuppied with their blood sample. Barry’s intentions made sense, but it was your decision whether to chase after Thawne or not. It’s your choice on whether you’d even side with him for this battle.
***___***
You had stood right outside the Cortex in the corridor, your feet stopped when you heard Barry announce that “Thawne is working with them”. Your heart got caught in your chest. Eobard was here. He was back. But why in the hell would he ever work with Nazis? Nazis? Seriously Eo??? What the absolute fuck? You knew Eobard never had a tolerance for people like that. People like Eiling or Stagg, who would “poke fun” at those with disabilities, even if he had feigned his inability to walk in the end. People who would intentionally use their status to torture others. It just goes to show how people with that kind of caliber would think. So why this sudden change? Not ‘why now’. No, why at all?? How could he have stooped so low? That idiot. Unacceptable.
But what ached the most was Barry’s words. He doesn’t trust me… Even after all these years. Your heart shook and eyes narrowed as your eyes peered at the light being cast from the Cortex. You took in a breath. Taking a quiet step back, your feet carried you to one of the higher levels of STAR Labs- one of the tower levels. Your quiet place of refuge when this had gotten too much, whether it was because the shadows kept you safe from judgment or not, you didn’t know. If he wants to act like that, then two can play this game, Bartholomew Henry Allen. You looked out onto the city, subconscious scanning every light – every street. Lights winked in and out, the night progressing as the city remained unaware of the new monsters it currently hid. But what am I going to do?
***___***
Iris rubbed her eyes before taking a step closer to her almost-husband. “What’s going on in that head of yours?”
“I can’t have (Y/N) fighting with us. Not now. Not in this battle.” Not when he’s lurking around.
“Why?”
“You know why? Thawne’s out there. Running, scheming.”
“So, you don’t trust her.” It was more of a statement rather than a question.
“Iris, she knew what he did to my mom. Lied to us about it for months back then and still chose Thawne when we locked him up. What makes this time different?”
“Barry, while all those sound like good points, first and foremost she’s our friend.” The speedster just shook his head, Iris huffed, “Look, it’s been -what?- 3? 4 years? Since she’d last been with him? Things have changed. You think after everything we’ve been through; she’ll throw that all away?”
“Yes! Old feelings come back; they always do and she’s going to get her revenge.”
“How do you know that? How do you know that she wants revenge?”
“Thawne will coax it out of her. He’s good at manipulating a person’s feelings.”
“And what would she get in the end?”
Barry didn’t answer her, instead he wrung his hands together.
“Barr, if she had wanted revenge, she would have done so already after the incident. But she didn’t. (Y/N) was depressed after Thawne was erased. Vulnerable. The love of her life was gone, just like that. Don’t you remember? How she wanted to end it all, but we stopped her.” Barry’s eyes flickered to the ground, remember the sight he had seen. Drowning. You were purposefully drowning yourself in your tub. The way your looked back at him- lifeless- when he had gotten you back to your senses. The blood the dripped, your cold skin. The monitor beeping every so often in the Cortex. Iris’ own mind shifted to when she had seen the scars littered on your arms when Caitlin had fully examined you. Your dull hair and gaunt face, nothing like the brilliant fire that rang through you months prior to Eobard’s erasure. “We helped her work through it when we found out. Caitlin and I looked after (Y/N) every second of the day until she was ready to get back on her two feet. And then Zoom happened and he was breaking you. Breaking your bones and your spirit- when you broke your back, she was all-hands-on-deck to step in and help in your place while still dealing with her own issues.”
“I know, it’s just- something just tells me otherwise with Thawne here.”
“Barry-”
“-She’s going to choose him, Iris. Nothing will change that. To her, everything we’ve been through until this point won’t mean anything. Not when Thawne’s at the end of the tunnel waiting for her. She’s going to choose him and help him.”
“But what if she doesn’t? What then, Barr?”
Barry just shrugged. “I-I don’t know, but I can’t take any chances. Not this time.” I can’t hesitate with Thawne here. One misstep and that’ll be all he needs to make his move.
Iris reached out to her fiancé, gently caressing his cheek. She knew that he won’t change his mind, no matter the reasons she could come up with. Barry thought in absolutes when it comes to Thawne. And your past emotional ties with the evil speedster only further drove his current mistrust. “Come on, we have to help the others.”
***___***
You threw the ball against the concrete wall opposite to you, all your strength forced into it. The stress ball ricocheted back to where you sat. You caught it with ease, giving it a firm squeeze as your eyes shut.
“How could you betray us? We were your friends, your family!-”
“You are-”
“We stood by you!”
“I just-”
“-Just what!? He took everything from me!”
You cringed at the voice from years past. Breathe in, breathe out.
“You’re just as guilty as him. No wonder, like calls to like.”
“I-”
“I don’t want your excuses.”
Breathe in, breathe out.
“I hope you rot with him.”
Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Swallowing harshly, you did your breathing exercises to push Barry’s cold voice away. You had stolen the malleable ball from Harry- or rather, he had allowed you to take it from him. It was an unused gift from the others for Harry to deal with his anger issues. Instead of throwing beakers and graduated cylinders off desks, the Earth-2 scientist can simply channel his anger into this stress ball… Which had been a hard pass for him. Rather he preferred his method of anger outbursts, even if he did end up hurting himself in the process. So you put it to use instead; a tool for simple meditation, as well as the redirecting your certain senses. It’s made of rubber polymer so your electrokinesis didn’t harm your new toy in any way.
Your eyes lingered back onto the city, your arm hanging over your bent leg while your other remained outstretched. No good in hiding up here forever, it’ll make things more suspicious. Not like Barry isn’t suspecting anything anyway. But you had needed time to think, to collect your thoughts and assess what actions you would take. You touched the necklace Eobard had made for you in rich gold- a Columba. It’s a constellation signifying the dove in astrology as he always called you his little birdy. But also, because gave him a sense of peace which the dove has generally symbolized fore. A finger ran over the one of the six diamonds that twinkled for the constellation, connected to each by a trail of gold. Eobard. Licking your lips, you got up, you pocketed your ball and brushed any dust particle from your leggings.
Upon entering the Cortex, a group of heroes left: Oliver, Kara, Barry, Sara, and so on. Barry had shoved past you, your eyes meeting briefly as you raised an eyebrow. His expression was guarded, but you said nothing.
“I’m guessing they’re going on a little midnight excursion?” You turned to Felicity and Iris with a thumb pointing in their direction. Mick was nowhere to be found so you can assume he’s already raided the lounge fridge. Caitlin had already prepped the med bay for incoming injuries, which isn’t an uncommon expectation, but wasn’t in the Cortex.
“Ding ding ding, you’re correct,” Felicity piped up, typing away at her computer screen. She was already hacking into cameras around the warehouse as the inside had ones out of commission. “The remaining Legends are to be on standby, should something happen during the warehouse fight. Per Sara’s orders.” At least Felicity isn’t treating you any differently, especially with how close she is to Barry. He probably told her to.
“And we’re going to be…?” You raised an eyebrow, a bit offended no one decided to volunteer you for the fight. You wanted to kick some Nazi ass too. Fry those fuckers. Guess Barry told them all to not trust me. Great, thanks Barr. Bitterness welled up inside but didn’t show it. Felicity and Iris aren’t the ones to be at odds with. Maybe it’s a good thing if Eo’s there. Barry would have his eyes all over your interaction with him.
“Just doing some monitoring and staying on comms. The usual Overwatch stuff,” Felicity smiled up at you then quickly turned to her tech. You could tell that her mind was wondering. About what? You had no clue and decided it’d be best to not involve yourself should things go sour if you did and Barry would find a reason to blame you.
No, this reunion needed to be on the downlow. One away from prying eyes. Your eyes drifted to Iris’ back in a subtle manner before pulling out your phone to check the time.
“Where’s Harry?” You asked, if anything he was one of the people who hadn’t seen you for just your past. Didn’t care for it as Zoom terror and Jesse’s rescue were more pressing matters. And you had seen him for more than a doppelganger to Eobard, even if their tendencies and bristliness seemed similar. Harry was Harry and Eobard was Eobard. Both were their own men, it wasn’t that hard to see and understand. He had done his own share of horrors and dark deeds for Jesse that Harry was dealing with his own darkness, while your demons haunted you. In an odd way, you both understood one another. Begrudgingly at first, though. Plus, you needed to return the stress ball back to him, thinking he’d need it now with Thawne around. If anything, you found it funny how Harry got mad when people would call Thawne a Wells. The Wells doppelganger would spectacularly blow up, which was always a site to see. Though you were hoping the two would never meet. You chewed on the inside of your cheek on how that interaction could possibly go. Would you-
“He’s probably back in his lab,” Iris spoke up from the other side of the Cortex, padding up to you. You nodded at her, mind drifting once more as you strolling to the Cortex exit. Harry could hold his own, but up against Eo, with all his speed… You’d choose-
“Hey,” Iris stopped you, snapping you out of your thoughts and placing a hand on your arm. You blinked. A small smile was woven on her face, one of those comforting smiles that said that you can come to her for anything… But could you?
“Hey,” you returned it, feigning any indication that you had overheard what Barry had said earlier. Schooling your features, you calmed your nerves. I’ve done this before. Pretended not to know. I can do it again. I can’t trust no one, and it seems like no one can trust me. I’ll be the actress again in this drama, spun by Barry this time.
“Can I talk to you for a moment?”
“Sure”
Iris was perceptive, she didn’t miss the slight strain in your voice. The guarded look that the young journalist had become accustomed to receiving when approaching you. There were times where she’d realize you were walking on eggshells with her. Because of Barry. Because of the serrated words he had thrown at you like knives all those times ago. But there were times where all was well with the world, the past forgotten and the strength of your friendship with the team more prominent than ever.  Then again, having Nazi’s return and who are hell bent on ruling this Earth by eradicating its heroes then move on to the next Earth in the multiverse does tend to throw tension into the air. Iris bit her lip. Especially if she doesn’t know about Thawne.
“(Y/N), look there’s… there’s something I need to tell you.”
“Sure, what’s up?”
“…”
“Iris, is something wrong? Are you ok?”
She noted sincerity on your face. “Thawne’s here.”
You pursed your lips, internally confused. “Iris-”
“And he’s fighting with the Earth-Xers.”
“I… what?!” Your rage was not false. Sure you knew about it earlier, but now it was necessary to unleash it. It’d make your surprise all the more legit.
“I needed you to know,” Iris swallowed.
“How?”
“When Barry, Oliver, and Kara intercepted their heist.”
“…” It was your turn to be silent. You knew, but you had to play a little longer until you could leave.
“I trust you, ok?”
“But” You knew there was a ‘but’. There always is one. Iris blinked, opening her mouth a few times then looking away before meeting your gaze once more.
“But I need to know you’re with us on this.”
Your eyes never left hers, your hand was held in both of hers. Before you could even respond an alarm had gone off. Both your necks snapped to Felicity, who snapped up from her sitting position.
“That was the corridor alarm.” Fear crippled its way in the air. “This is a setup.”

Ok, hear me out... supercorp, no. 6, really angsty and somehow resolve the angst with no. 1
“It’s always been you” + “I’m going to marry that girl” + supercorp [read on ao3]
Kara chased Lena out of the apartment and down the stairs, Lena had taken the lift. Why did she say that? What on Earth was she thinking? She needed to pray to Rao and all the Gods anyone had ever believed in that Lena would forgive her. She made it down the stairs as Lena ran out of the lift.
“Leave me alone, Kara!” she shouted as she went to run out of the apartment building. It was raining.
“You’re going to catch hypothermia!” something overcame Kara and she suddenly didn’t care who saw her use her powers. She sped ahead and got to the door before Lena did. “Please just listen to me,” Kara begged.
“I filled your office with flowers,” Lena yelled exasperated, “I bought you a company. I cleared my schedule any time you wanted to hang out. I broke every single rule, and I told you time and time and again how different you were, and you didn’t get the hint and now,” Lena took a deep breath, “Now, you tell me,”.
“Lena,” Kara begged, stopping her from stepping around Kara, “Please,”.
“I need some time,” Lena tried to step around her again, “It’s four years of flirting and I need some time so either you leave or I will keep storming out of my own apartment,”.
Kara took a deep breath considering her options, she looked out into the rain. She opened the door and stepped into the open space so Lena wouldn’t leave, “I’ll go,” she smiled, “You were never meant to see that text,”.
“Because that makes it so much better,” Lena deadpanned, going to turn away and go back up the stairs.
Kara caught her hand to stop her from leaving and Lena turned to face her with a glare. “Let go,” she told her and Kara did immediately but Lena made no move to leave.
“It’s always been you,” Kara told her before she turned around and walked off into the rain. She rushed into the nearest alleyway and changed into her super suit, flying above the city and calling Alex from the air.
She thought back to that moment. How could she be so stupid? She’d gone to grab some more popcorn from the kitchen and Nia had texted her. Lena had picked it up. Her thumbprint was on Kara’s phone, it wasn’t unusual. If it were around Lena’s birthday or Christmas Kara would keep her phone hidden so she could keep secrets, but it was a boring day in January, so it was just laying on the couch.
“Who is it?” Kara had called over to Lena as she poured the popcorn from the bag into the bowl. Lena hadn’t responded. “Lee?” she called out again.
“I need some air,” Lena had choked out before running out of the apartment. Kara had dropped the popcorn on the counter, spilling half of it everywhere and running over to her phone.
Nia: try not to look at Lena like you are completely and totally in love with her all night
Kara cursed herself. Lena was going to have to clean up all her mess. She should’ve cleaned up before going down the stairs. Alex picked up the phone and she just let the tears fall down her face as her sister asked what was going on.
“So Lena is in love with you,” Alex spoke slowly as they sat opposite each other on the couch.
“That’s what she suggested,” Kara interrupted her sister, caution running through her. Lena was still pretty mad at her. She had ignored all of Kara’s apology texts that she had sent in the two hours since she last saw her. She didn’t want to assume anything.
“So Lena is in love with you,” Alex repeated, a glare thrown her sister’s way.
“There’s no evidence for it,” Kara sighed, interrupting Alex again.
“Lena is in love with you,” Alex repeated again, her voice raising a little, glaring at Kara and almost daring her to speak, “And you’re in love with her,” she finished, giving Kara an expectant look. Kara nodded monotonously.
“Where’s the issue?” Alex went on.
“She’s mad at me,” Kara pouted.
“So make her not mad at you,” Alex shrugged, “It’s Lena, all you need to do is pull out that pout,” Alex pointed at Kara’s lips, “Then you will be fine,”.
“She said she wanted space,” Kara mumbled.
“Ignore her,” Alex shrugged. Kara thought for a second. She had violated Lena’s trust and not listened to her again and again, she needed to listen to her now. She at least owed Lena that.
“I don’t want to do that,” she shrugged.
-
Kara avoided Lena for a while. Well, not exactly avoided her, just didn’t contact her apart from a one-line text.
I’m here when you want to talk.
Lena didn’t show up at CatCo for two weeks and soon the pain of missing her best friend started to hit Kara and everyone was noticing. Snapper was yelling at her for moping multiple times a day for the first week yet halfway through the second he switched to actually being nice to her.
Alex started dropping off various editions of Kara’s comfort foods after day three when she found Kara staring out of the window wearing Lena’s sweater and eating ice cream while crying. In Kara’s defence, it was triggered by an extremely depressing event involving a perfect puppy video that she couldn’t send to Lena because she was giving her space. After that, Alex was showing up most mornings with doughnuts and when she couldn’t make it Nia would show up with a box when Kara got to CatCo. Then there were the lunch deliveries of potstickers and dinner deliveries of various foods.
By day eleven, Alex had hosted an intervention, claiming her wallet couldn’t handle it anymore. The intervention essentially involved dragging Kara out of her apartment for the next three days and keeping her so busy she was either always working, on Supergirl duty, training at the DEO or being dragged out to either the dive bar or a karaoke bar.
Lena showed up at CatCo on day fourteen late at night. Almost everyone had left the offices. It was only Kara, Nia and an intern with one of the photographers in an office off the bullpen. Kara could hear Lena enter the building. Her heartbeat drew closer. Kara didn’t know whether to panic or dance around in excitement, the last thing she could do was work though. The words spun on the page as she heard Lena get on the elevator.
She picked up her pen and started playing with it just to give her something to do. It snapped in half after she’d clicked the top twice. Nia looked over at her in confusion and at the same moment, the doors pinged before they slid open to reveal Lena standing there looking down at her phone.
Kara’s heart stopped. She looked the same yet somewhat different. Kara couldn’t tell if it was tiredness or something else but her features had fallen a little and she looked like she hadn’t smiled in weeks. Kara cursed herself. She shouldn’t have given her space. She should have fought for Lena. She shouldn’t have assumed Lena would run and leave first like everyone else. She should have given Lena a chance.
Then Lena looked up and for just a second her eyes lit up and her features lifted a little, her bag going a little straighter but it was just a second. Then her face fell again. She doesn’t want to talk. Kara’s heart sunk yet she still stood up out of her chair as Lean left the elevator and turned away from Kara.
“Lee,” she called after her.
“I need more time,” Lena replied as she walked into her office, “I just need to sign some papers,”. Kara sighed and leaned against the nearest wall. The last two weeks had been hell. She couldn’t care less if Lena loved her back, she just wanted her best friend again. She missed Lena more than she could bear. Her life without Lena was unbearable. She’d take her back in any capacity. She needed her.
Kara tried to hold back the tears as she sank to the floor against the wall. Her head falling against her knees as she hugged her knees to her chest. Kara hated this. She didn’t know how long she stayed there but then someone was standing over her. It might have been a second after or an hour but someone was standing over her.
“Stand up,” Lena’s exasperated demand broke through Kara’s thoughts. Kara lifted her head and looked at her. “Just stand up,” Lena smiled. She smiled. Kara couldn’t help but smile. Lena stepped forward into Kara’s space and lifted a hand to her cheek, wiping a tear away gently.
“I want the record to note that I am still mad at you,” Lena smiled before she leaned forward and captured Kara’s lips in a gentle, cautious kiss. It took a second for Kara to register what was actually happening but then she reacted and the kiss quickly became so much less cautious and so much more perfect. If that was even possible.
Lena pulled away gently and Kara’s eyes opened slowly to look into Lena’s. “You realise if you had told me sooner we could have done that so many more times,” Lena smirked in a whisper against Kara’s lips.
“You didn’t tell me either,” Kara smiled.
“I’m still mad at you,” Lena warned her sternly, a smile tugging at her lips. Kara just hummed non-commitantly and leaned forward, capturing Lena’s lips in another kiss. Lena smiled into the kiss and Kara couldn’t help but do the same as her hand gingerly found their way to Lena’s waist and pulled her close as Lena’s hands stayed on Kara’s cheeks, holding Kara close to her.
Kara went to deepen the kiss but Lena pulled away, “This is a workplace,” she whispered against Kara’s lips before she pressed another light kiss there. Her hands withdrew from Kara’s as she pulled away from her touch. “Call me,” Lena winked before she picked up her bag and got on the open elevator.
Kara sucked in a breath as her heart skipped a beat and she leaned back against the wall, her hand hovering over the lips trying to desperately preserve Lena’s touch. Someone cleared their throat in front of her and Kara opened her eyes to see Lena standing there, desperately trying to hold back a laugh as she raised an eyebrow expectantly.
“You have a little,” Nia indicated her own lips and Kara brought up her hand to cover her lips this time, turning to look into the reflection of the wall behind them. There was definitely Lena’s lipstick there. Kara wiped it away reluctantly and turned back to face Nia who was smiling widely.
“What did she say?” Nia asked.
“She’s still mad at me and that I should’ve told her earlier. I'm pretty sure the kiss was just to show me what I had been missing,” Kara sighed happily, leaning against the wall as Lena let out a laugh.
“Should’ve told her sooner,” Nia smiled.
“I know,” Kara turned to look to the place Lena had disappeared before she turned back to Nia, “I’m going to marry that girl,” she smiled.
Nia shook her head with a smile and a sigh, “I’m surprised it took you this long to figure that out,”.

xoxo
____
Climbing into Jesse’s car, you were putting on your seatbelt.
'Where do you live (Y/N)?' He asked, starting the engine and driving to the gate of the Universal Studios.
'Currently, I’m living in a hotel. I haven’t had time to look for a suitable apartment. Plus I’m new in Chicago' you said, watching him drive his car.
Jesse had an amused grin on his face. 'So, you’re telling me you’re living the hotel life? This sounds pretty nice though'
'Oh trust me, it is‘ you laughed a little. ‚Getting food 24/7, having your room cleaned and the hotel feeling is fantastic.'
'I never thought of it. This is amazing. Life would be so much easier.' Jesse was in his thoughts and you had to laugh again.
'To be honest, it is quite expensive and you can’t have everything as you want it' you added and he shrugged.
'I just imagine it being super cool. Walking into a hotel every day like a real businessman? I’m still waiting for this job offer' he commented and you both laughed.
It was really nice being around him. Jesse had a great sense of humor.
'You can pay me a visit if you want' you suggested and he smiled at you for a moment.
'Been waiting for this offer' he winked at looked back at the streets.
'Oh, I already thought so' you grinned.
'Ok, so we’re nearly there' he told you, while you took a look at your surroundings.
Some minutes later you were in his apartment, which was amazing. The sunset was shown through the big windows. It really looked magical. You liked his interior and it smelled very good.
The doorbell rang and Jesse went to open it. Miranda, Taylor, Tracy, and Kara came in. They brought pizza and beers.
You sat down at the big table next to the kitchen. Miranda sat across from you and winked. You could just shake your head and laugh.
'Why are you laughing?' Kara said with her mouth full of the first piece of pizza. '(Y/N)’s just falling in love with the owner of this wonderful apartment' Miranda replied to her before you could say anything.
Your eyes went wide. 'Would you stop it?' You whispered fully aware that the other three of you were still in the kitchen and probably couldn’t hear her comment.
'Really? That would be amazing!' Kara ignored your reaction.
'What would be amazing?' Tracy came in and took the seat next to Miranda.
'I was just talking about (Y/N)-' 'Taylor could you help us to cut the pizza?' You asked him a little bit louder to stop Miranda talking about your little crush.
'Umm, I can do that' Jesse came up to you with the cutter. Standing next to you, you had to think about who smelled better. The pizza or the absolutely handsome man next to you.
Taking the piece of pizza out of his hand you saw Miranda watching you two. You kicked her under the table and she mumbled a little 'Ouch.' You could just smile to yourself while she was glaring at you.
**
'I think we could go for a round of strip poker. What do you think guys?' Miranda asked after we all cleaned up the mess we made while eating.
'Be right back' Jesse told her after everybody agreed. You definitely will lose a lot of clothes, because poker wasn’t made for you.
'I suck at this' you admitted. 'Me too. Let’s strip together' Tracy laughed and fist-bumped you.
Jesse came back with the game and Kara prepared everything.
'I hope you all are wearing something nice under your tops and bottoms' Taylor grinned. 'Except for Jesse of course' he added quickly and we laughed.
'I actually do wear boxer shorts, but I hope I can keep my jeans on' he smirked and popped another beer open.
You were thinking of what you are wearing today, but it was nothing special. It was probably a set of black underwear. Re-checking with taking a look through your shirt, you saw the black lace.
'Already preparing for getting rid of your shirt?' Miranda smirked. 'No, just checking if everything sits right' you gave her a quick smile before taking your cards.
While Taylor and Tracy were discussing the rules, you caught Jesse's eyes and smiled at him. He smiled back and turned to a poker face afterward. You both had to cover your laugh because Kara was starting the round.
To your surprise, you weren’t the first person to get rid of a piece of clothes. It was Kara. 'So I’m going for my jeans, but don’t expect something hot. I’m on my period' she said while stepping out of the jeans.
Miranda fake whistled while admiring the black panties with little red hearts on them. 'Kara, you can’t be serious' Tracy laughed at Kara wiggling her butt at her.
A round later it was Jesse’s turn. He lost because you had the better cards at the end. 'Oh (Y/N) I promise you, you’ll be the next' he said with a mischievous smile.
'In your dreams, Soffer' you grinned and he took off his shirt. You froze for a second. Scanning his body, you completely lost it. He was charming, funny as hell, with clothes hella attractive, and now?
'I told you, girl. He’s the definition of „sex on legs“!' Miranda laughed.
'You really introduced him to her like that?' Taylor asked her with a surprised face.
'How could she not?' Jesse interrupted trying to make a shocked expression and threw his t-shirt into Taylor’s face.
'Have you seen my body?' Taylor asked, removing Jesse’s shirt. I took a sip of the beer bottle in front of me and followed the conversation with my eyes.
'Sadly yes. I had to shoot some scenes with you, my love' Miranda winked at him and everybody laughed.
'Time for a revenge' Jesse mentioned and took his cards. You were looking at him and his body again. Did you already think about how perfect he is? His eyes, his freckles, his smile, his arms, his...
'Earth to (Y/N)?' Kara was waving her hands in front of your face. You shook your head a little and met the warm green eyes, you were looking at before. Jesse laughed to himself and you turned red.
'Yes, I lost. What do you wanna see?' You asked, trying to cover your embarrassment.
'Take off the top' Tracy told you. Quickly removing it and throwing it on the floor. Avoiding the glances of the others, you were taking another sip.
'Damn, you look hot' Tracy rose her voice again. You felt the redness coming back. Of course, the whole nation saw you in your bra before, but these were other circumstances.
'Thanks to you' you smiled at her and saw Jesse agreeing with nodding a little and taking a sip of the beer just like you before.
Continuing with the game, everybody had either their pants or their tops next to them on the ground. It was a lot of fun because everybody seemed to suck at this game. But maybe this was the intention of playing it.
You didn’t mind seeing the other ones without clothing. You were all trained and perfectly in shape. But one of them especially caught your eye.
Jesse lost again and was standing up. He opened his belt and his jeans straight after it. Of course, you were watching him. Everybody did. Except for Miranda. She was watching you with an amused smirk on her face.
'Sorry to tell you that, but you will see me in my boxers' Jesse looked next to him. Taylor laughed. 'I was already aware of it. Don’t worry. The other ones won’t mind at all.'
Stepping out of his jeans, you had to look at the white Ralph Lauren boxer he was wearing. Thinking of things you shouldn’t, you looked away and took your cards.
'Next one who will lose has to host our next match' Kara announced and your eyebrow shot up in surprise.
'This is a good one. (Y/N) maybe you could lose. I’m sure we all agree that a hotel would be nice for hosting it' Jesse said while sitting down onto his chair again.
‚Pah, you wish' you grinned at him. Of course, you’ll lose. You had no concentration left and under pressure, you sucked the most.
Some minutes later, you leaned back, crossing your arms in front of you. Yes, you lost.
'Is there a spa at the hotel? Maybe we could go in there after getting rid of all our clothes next time' Taylor asked grinning like an idiot. Everybody was pretty happy about you losing the last round.
'You have to show your beautiful bum, (Y/N). Even though it is the last round and we can technically put our clothes on again, you owe us the show' Miranda raised her voice.
You exhaled loudly and stood up. Quickly opening your jeans, you were removing them. 'There you go' you said. This was embarrassing, but you didn’t mind anymore. The beer you were consuming the last hour, was worth it now.
'Oh man, that looks hot' Jesse admitted and winked. Everybody drank a lot, but he sounded totally sober. It made you blush again.
'I wouldn’t mind if you girls would just stay like this' Taylor added and you all laughed.
Continuing after the game with a lot of talking and laughing. When you finally arrived home, you were absolutely happy. The whole evening and night were hilarious. You couldn’t wait for the next time. Furthermore, you couldn't wait to meet Jesse again.

Title: Hatefuck
Summary: mike and the reader hate each other and end up fucking it out.
Word Count: 1,868
A/N: yes this a high school setting but mike and the reader are intended to be seniors so they ARE of legal age!!!
Tags: @littlefreya @wendimydarling @october505 @killjoy-assbutt-1112 @infinite-shite @inlovewithhisblueeyes @hope-to-hell @viking-raider @the-soot-sprite @raspberrydreamclouds @thelastsock @connieisland @nuggsmum @wolvesandhoundshowltogether @foodieforthoughts @geek-eat-repeat @oddsnendsfanfics @oddduckthatgirl @feralrunaway @its--fandom--darling @madbaddic7ed
There was no denying that Mike was hot as fuck. He was one of the most beautiful men I had ever seen. But unfortunately, Mike was also a giant fucking douchebag.
I dropped my cigarette on the ground right in front of the school and crushed it with my boot. “Here we go again.” I thought to myself as I pulled the heavy door open. I started my trek through the main hallway while shoving my pack of Marlboro Reds in my pocket. And that’s when it started. Thats when Mike opened his fucking mouth.
“Hey Y/N! Smoking kills!” He shouted from across the hall. Surrounded by his usual gaggle of football playing idiots, he stood there smack dab in the middle, leaning against his locker, shit eating grin plastered across his face.
But little did that neanderthal know that today, was the day I had had enough. Every fucking day we engaged in the same back and forth, venom laced banter. Mike and I never liked each other. I can’t remember a time when he was even remotely nice to me. We just didn’t mix well. We ran in different circles and did different things so it never made sense to even try being friends. But somewhere along the lines, a general dislike for each other turned into full blown hatred.
I put on my most wicked smirk and sauntered over to him. “I didn’t quite hear you babe. Can you repeat that?” I said sweetly. “I said, smoking kills. I saw you shoving your box of cancer sticks in your pocket.” He replied with a smirk, his gang of numbskulls laughing right along with him. My grin widened as the gears in my brain turned. I laid my hand over my heart in mock surprise.
“My my my! I didn’t know you kept such a close eye on my every move! How sweet of you!” I said. “I-I don’t watch you. I glanced in your direction and made an observation that's all. I mean I-I don’t even like you. I hate you actually. Yeah. Um. so.” He stuttered, clearly surprised that I was responding to his usually ignored behavior.
I looked at him for a long few seconds before speaking again. I leaned closer to him and grabbed his face to pull him close to me, his lips hovering in front of mine. “Ya know Mikey, you’re so fucking hot that it really is a damn shame that you ruin it by opening your mouth.” I whispered, the corners of my mouth twisting up into a wicked smirk. Mike’s breathing was uneven and I watched him gulp before shoving him back to his original spot. His group of friends were equally stunned. I turned my back to him and began to walk away.
“Yeah w-well fuck you Y/N!” He shouted at me. I stopped walking and turned my head, smirk still in full effect. “Oh baby, if you wanna fuck me, all you gotta do is ask.” I winked and made my way to class.
*~*~*~*~*~*
Later that night, I made my way to a party on the other side of town that Jenny Bosley was having. About an hour into the party, I had had a few drinks and had successfully avoided Mike. I knew in my slightly inebriated state, anything could happen and I didn’t need to have yet another confrontation with that prick.
“Y/N! Come on! We’re playing spin the bottle in the living room!” Jenny waved for me to follow her. I made my way through the crowd and into the living room. Everyone was in a circle getting ready to play and I sat down beside Jenny. Mike made his way into the room and joined the circle, much to my dismay. Jenny explained the rules and the game began. Kisses were traded and laughs were had, until it was Mike’s turn. He spun the bottle and it landed on Jenny so he leaned across the circle to collect his kiss. Jenny leaned forward and Mike slid his hand into her hair, capturing her lips with his. I watched as his tongue swept into her mouth and her eyes fluttered closed. Their mouths moved in tandem and I was mesmerized at the sight. I found myself wishing I was in Jenny’s spot and I hated myself for it. “I hate him! WHY do I want to kiss him?!” I thought to myself.
Jenny and Mike separated after what felt like hours and returned to their seats. His gaze flickered to me and I rolled my eyes to let him know how COMPLETELY unbothered I was. The game continued until it came to me. I took a deep breath before spinning the bottle. It spun for a while before landing…on Jenny. I took a quick look at Mike and he was staring directly at me like he was a kid on Christmas, waiting to open his gifts.
I turned to look at Jenny. She was gorgeous and I had no qualms about kissing her. My main mission now was to kiss her better than Mike ever could. I cupped her face with my right hand and ran my thumb over her cheek before grazing her bottom lip. I looked into her eyes and she let out a shaky breath. That's when I knew I had her. I leaned in, slowly letting my eyes flick back and forth a few times from her lips to her eyes. When she was close enough, I pressed my lips to hers. My hand slid down to graze her neck as I licked her bottom lip. Jenny’s soft lips parted and I slipped my tongue into her mouth. We continued kissing for another minute or so before pulling apart.
Jenny settled back into her spot before shouting “Either I’m really drunk, or I’m REALLY bisexual. Sorry Mike, Y/N was better.” Everyone started laughing, even Mike himself let out a small chuckle. “Lets step this up! Whoever the bottle lands on when you spin, you have to take them into the hall closet for 15 minutes!” Kara, another girl in the circle, suggested. Everyone decided this was a good idea and the game continued.
Mike’s turn inevitably came and he grinned before spinning the bottle. My heart flew into my throat when it landed on me but I put on my signature smirk and stood up to make my way out of the circle. Without turning around I shouted “You comin’ Mikey boy? Or am I gonna have to get off all by my lonesome?” Seconds later I heard his heavy footsteps behind me.
Once we were in the closet I grabbed him by the shirt and slammed our lips together. It was all teeth and tongues and heat. I started pulling his jacket down his arms and he stopped me. “Wait I thought you hated me?!” He questioned. “Oh sweetie, I do. I absolutely do. But you’re also extremely attractive especially when you AREN’T talking. And haven’t you ever heard of “hatefucking”? It’s hot. So here’s how this is going to work. We have 15 minutes and I am horny as hell. So you are going to fuck me and we are never going to speak of it again. Got it?” I whisper-shouted. Mike furiously nodded and we resumed kissing.
Clothes went flying and our breathing was heavy and all I could think of was getting his dick inside me. He started kissing down my neck and I gasped as he bit into my shoulder. “Fuck I-I can’t wait anymore.” He grunted against my neck. Mike flipped me around and pressed my face into the wall as he lined up behind me. A litany of filth spilled from my lips as he pushed into me, my walls squeezing and attempting to force him out. Never in my life did I EVER think I’d be begging for Mike to fuck me in a closet.
He began slamming in and out of me, snapping his hips at a steady pace. He was hitting my g-spot on every thrust, rendering me speechless. At this point I was a writhing mess. “Please please please!” I whimpered. Mike tapped his fingers on my lips and I opened them to suck on the digits. “Oh fuck Y/N! Your pussy is so fucking tight. Yeah thats right you little slut. You're squeezing my cock so nice. Fuck! I could do this for hours babe.” He grunted into my shoulder. His fingers were still hooked into my mouth and he was prying my jaw open so I was slobbering all over his hand and panting into the humid air.
“Mike please! I need to cum!” I cried as best as I could with his fingers still in my gaping maw, my heated face pressed to the cool wall. “Yeah I know you do baby. I’m gonna make you cum don’t worry. Just hold on a little longer.” He said, punctuating his words with his thrusts. Mike’s hand left my mouth and slid down to rub tight circles on my clit with my own spit until my legs were shaking. His hand came back up to clamp around my throat. “Come on babe. Cum for me. I know you can. I know you want to.” He ground out, driving into my g-spot one last time. An inhumane sound ripped from my throat as I came around his cock, my internal muscles spasm king around him.
I could feel him throbbing inside me, close to his own orgasm. “Wait Mikey, not inside me.” I panted. He pulled out of me and I sank to my knees. I gripped his cock with my left hand and sucked him into my mouth. I started bobbing my head and hollowing my cheeks as I felt his hands pull my hair into a makeshift ponytail that he used to guide my mouth up and down his shaft. “Fuuuuck yeah. Thats so good. You look so damn hot with my cock in your mouth sweetheart. If I knew you were this good I would have fucked you a long time ago.” Mike groaned above me. I sank my mouth down as far as I could until I gagged around him. He was moaning and his eyes were screwed shut so I knew he was close. I jerked the portion of his dick that wasn’t in my mouth and sucked hard on the tip. He bucked his hips and came, hot and thick, down my throat. I looked up at him through my lashes and swallowed. He looked down at me with glassy eyes and flushed cheeks.
I stood up and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand and started gathering up my discarded clothes. “That was the best sex I’ve ever had.” Mike sighed, a small grin on his face.
I patted his cheek and before reaching for the door. “You ain’t seen nothin’ yet sweetheart. Call me and I’ll hatefuck you within an inch of your life.” I winked at him and he let out a deep breath. “I might take you up on that. And I think it’ll be sooner rather than later.” He said, winking right back.

You were tangled in Kageyama, body wrapped around his as his fingers danced with yours. His bed was too small for two people, but you made it work.
Your final year of high school started the next day. You were going to make the little moments last.
You felt his heartbeat against your cheek. It was peaceful.
“Kags, I think I’m in love with you.” You told him.
“Well that’s good.” was his reply.
Tumblr media
Tobio Kageyama stood in the empty room for a long time. He just stared blankly at the door for what felt like hours. How did everything possibly get this fucked up?
He went to rush after you, and he did. He caught you by your elbow just as you were turning the corner. Maybe he hadn’t been standing in that room for as long as he thought.
“Kageyama.” You warned, not turning around to face him. “Please just let go and go through with this stupid wedding so I can dance at the reception.”
“I’m in love with you.” He said. “I’m in love with you. How can you tell me that you love me and then expect me to marry her right after?”
“Kageyama.” You warned again, this time turning around.
The minute your eyes met his blue ones, you had to stop yourself from tearing up. This was it. It was the final moments. You were letting him go, moving on, giving him up. You couldn’t do it anymore. This back and forth, this cheating and constant ups and downs. It was exhausting to love him.
And you knew that it was exhausting him, too. So, you were ending it.
“I love you. I’m in love with you.”
“You can say it all you want, Kags.” You took his fingers off of your elbow. “In minutes from now, you’re going to be married. To a girl you love. To a girl you cheated for, a girl you’ve been in a relationship for years while I was not here.”
“Yes, while you weren’t here. But you’re here. Now. You’re here and I love you and you love me and I don’t see why it has to be so difficult…”
“Because it is.” You were unusually calm while he was starting to panic. “Because everything about this is difficult. You’re getting married, Kags. Married.”
“But I won’t if…”
“When you proposed, what did you tell her?”
“What?”
“When you proposed to Hana, what did you tell her? What were your promises?”
“That I would marry her and stick with her for as long as she’ll let me.” Kageyama searched for the memory. “And that I would pay for dinner.”
You smiled. “See. And she’s still letting you stick with her. So do it.”
You reached up and placed a kiss to his cheek. It burned.
With a heavy heart, you walked towards the entrance. You had a call to make.
Tumblr media
“Oikawa?” You were surprised that he answered.
Inside of the church, it was beautiful and bright. Outside, it was incredibly windy and getting dark quick. But you had to call your best friend.
“Hey.”
“Hey.”
“Hey.”
“Listen.” You swallowed. “Kawa, I shouldn’t have left like that. I’m so sorry. I just…”
“Please don’t think I’m mad at you.” Oikawa interrupted. You felt a weight lift off of your chest. “I promise you, I am not even a little bit angry with you. I would’ve dipped too if you confessed your undying love for me.”
You laughed. “I think we should talk about it though. Not over the phone, but in general. Maybe I’ll come over after the reception.”
“We can talk about it if you want. I don’t expect anything, I know you’re in love with The King. Obviously. I do think we should probably keep fucking though.”
This time both of you were laughing.
Tooru Oikawa was something else.
Tumblr media
After you left, when you were on the plane with tears streaming down your cheeks, Kageyama felt like shit.
He wanted to text you. Maybe call one of your parents when you land and ask them if you were alright. He shouldn’t have told you that he hated you, because it wasn’t true. And he never lied like that to anyone, ever.
And it was Hana who ran out after him, calling him a million names that he had just called himself under his breath.
“She’s devastated.” Hana told him.
“So am I.”
Tumblr media
Your leg bounced as you sat on the bench. Tsukki sat beside you, and he placed a hand on your knee.
“You’re stressing me out.”
“The plan worked.”
“The plan worked. We got them both jealous. Now all we have to do is have way too much fun at this reception.”
“We haven’t even seen Hana yet, how do you know she’s jealous?” you blinked.
“I just ran into her.”
Tumblr media
Hana had run directly into Kei Tsukishima.
He was leaving the bathroom, and ran directly into her. Like an old cliché where they push each other over and he helps her pick up her books. Except they’re older than that, and she was in a wedding gown.
He helped steady her, placing his hands on her hips. She thanked him without a second glance.
“Thank you, thank you,” and the second she realized who her savior was, “Oh. Hi, Tsukishima. I didn’t expect you to come.”
“You can still call me Tsukki, you know. No need to be formal. I’m literally at your wedding.”
“That’s true.” She laughed but there was no humor to it.
That’s when he noticed how distraught she looked. To anyone else she would look perfect, but he noticed. He noticed the flush on her face, the one piece of hair that was misplaced. Something was wrong.
“You’re marrying him.” Tsukki told her.
She bit her lip.
“You’re running away.”
“He’s in love with someone else, Tsukki.” Hana’s shoulders dropped. “I’m not fucking stupid. I would know if my fiancé was cheating on me. Going through with this wedding would only stop him from getting what he wants. What he needs.”
“You’re telling me you want to run away from this wedding for his sake?”
“Tsukki, I know how it looks.”
“No. You don’t. Nor do you know how it feels.” Tsukki grabbed her hands, forcing her to look at him. “You’re going to marry him because you love him. Because you invited the guy you cheated on him with to the wedding. Because you live with him. Because you have been in a relationship with him for years now despite all of the other bullshit. You’re not stupid.”
“Shouldn’t you be telling me to run away with you?” Hana looked down at their hands. “Shouldn’t this be the part where I confess that it should be you at the end of the alter and I fucked up big time?”
“If this were some bullshit movie your parents make you watch.” Tsukki chuckled. “But this is real life. And if I know you, I know you would never consider leaving all of those people in there. And, I’m not in love with you anymore so I wouldn’t ask you to run away with me.”
“Then why’d you come?”
“Mainly to make you and your groom jealous. It’s fun to see you both flustered.”
“Why would I be flustered or jealous on my wedding day?”
“Guess who my date is.” Tsukki took his hands out of hers and sent her a wink before heading back to his seat beside yours.
Tumblr media
The second that he ran into you, Kageyama froze.
He couldn’t believe that you were standing in front of him, buying a drink as if it were the most casual thing in the entire world. Like you had been back for a long time. Had you been back for a long time?
That’s when you made eye contact with him.
And that’s when Kageyama knew that everything building up to that moment was all for not, because you were the only thing he could see.
Tumblr media
“Kageyama?” The best man entered the hallway, searching for the man of the hour. “Hey! Come on, they’re starting soon which means you have to be at the end of the aisle. Let’s go. It’s time!”
“What if I don’t want to?”
“Tobio Kageyama.” Hinata stood directly in front of his best friend. Well, a little bit lower. “What are you talking about?”
“She told me that she was in love with me.”
The “she” in question didn’t need to be clarified.
“Which is obvious.”
“You knew?”
“Kageyama, do you think that she’s the type to become a mistress for the hell of it?” Hinata rolled his eyes. “It’s obvious to anyone with the naked eye. The real question here is a simple one.”
“And what’s that?”
“Are you in love with Hana?”
Tumblr media
It was two years after you had left. Two years of growth and moving and volleyball and improvement.
Kageyama was in a bar after a winning game, a couple of his teammates were there but were already on some bullshit on the club’s dance floor. He sat on the bar stools, sipping his alcohol.
That’s when he saw Hana.
A girl he hadn’t talked to in years, a girl who reminded him of you. A small piece of you still left here.
“Hana.” He greeted, waving from his seat.
She waved back, grinning. She had a couple of drinks in her, but she was pretty alert. “Kageyama.”
“How have you been?”
He shouldn’t have asked that. He should’ve just said hi, moved on. Or maybe he shouldn’t have said hi at all. Because that lead to them being together for a long time, talking and chatting and telling stories of their adult lives.
Neither of them spoke of you.
After so many drinks, and not a lot of time, they had ended up with their tongues down each other’s throats. Call it what you want, but Kageyama was leeching onto whatever memory of you that existed. In that case, it was Hana herself.
They kissed and kissed, then drank some more and kissed again. Eventually, the kisses got rougher and there was more movement involved.
Hana’s thoughts were everywhere but there. And god, Kageyama knew what he was doing. (You weren’t lying when you had told her that he was a good kisser).
Eventually, they were at Hana’s. In her bed. Tsukki hadn’t even crossed her mind until the man opened the bedroom door to see Kageyama literally inside of her.
Fuck.
Tumblr media
“Shouldn’t you, you know, be ruining someone’s wedding right now?” Oikawa asked over the phone.
You were still outside, wind messing up your perfectly placed hair. You didn’t care, the thought of Oikawa not being your friend anymore was making you physically ill.
“I am not ruining a wedding. Just… causing some wedding drama.”
“So.. ruining a wedding?”
“Fuck you.”
“As long as you don’t moan Kageyama.”
“Tooru Oikawa I swear to everything that is holy…”
“Love!” A voice called from behind you. Tsukki. “They’re about to start.”
“Coming!” you turned back. “I’ll call you when it’s over, yeah?”
“Yeah. Don’t kill anyone!”
“No promises.” You repeated Tsukki.
Tumblr media
He couldn’t focus on the girl in front of him. Hana was stunning, beautiful, out of a magazine. But his mind was full of nothing but you.
He thought of you when he greeted everyone. He thought of you when Hinata stopped him. He thought of you when he watched Hana walk down the aisle. He thought of you when he first started to date her. He thought of you when he was inside of her on Tsukki’s bed. He thought of you every minute of the past five years.
You could feel him stare at you. You were on one of the church benches, sitting next to Tsukki and watching the wedding. You stared back, not even forging a blink.
As she walked down the aisle and everyone was staring at her, Hana’s eyes were on Tsukki. But only for a glance. You caught it, Kageyama caught it, and Tsukki definitely caught it. By the smirk on his face, he knew more than you did, but you didn’t say anything.
Kageyama’s mind was preoccupied by you when the officiant spoke. He felt as though his mind was playing a million different symphonies and each one of them was you.
You were in love with him. And he was getting married to someone else.
None of this felt real. He was staring from above, watching like a ghost at his own fucking wedding. But still, he couldn’t stop staring at you. In the crowd. When you should be the one in white.
“Hana Peters, do you take Tobio Kageyama to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?”
“I do.” She was hesitant but stated it clearly. Maybe she did love him.
“Tobio Kageyama, do you take Hana Peters to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for…”
“I can’t.”
The word slipped his tongue before he could stop them. The entire room froze on the spot, an unbreathing heavy silence that hung low in the air. He took his hands out of Hana’s.
Hana froze, but didn’t say anything. Her eyes went immediately to yours.
“I can’t. You and I both know that I can’t.” Kageyama’s eyes flicked to Hana’s for a second, only to look directly at you. More eyes started to look at who the groom is staring at, you shifted in your seat. What was he doing?
He left the alter.
Kageyama was walking away.
Why the fuck was he walking away?
Except, he wasn’t. No. He was walking towards you.
You couldn’t breathe. You couldn’t move. The entire room was deafeningly silent.
His hand held out for yours.

Request: Anonymous - “Can you do a Baby Danvers, where she becomes a vigilante and she fights alongside her sisters and the rest of Team Supergirl, Alex is a vigilante too. Then, after their last fight they have a sister's night”
Taglist: @captain-josslett @aznblossom @multi-images
The mid-afternoon in National City was cold and unsettled on the day after Valentine’s day. Couples walked down the main streets of the city with smiles on their faces. While vigilantes and superheroes rounded the city.
Valentine's day has been as boring as always. Unlucky for you all of your relationships happened during the rest of the year and with that, you had never been with anyone during the holiday.
Last night, you had the same great company you had every year since Kara arrived to earth. The two of you stuffed your face with candy, pastries, pizza, and potstickers as you watched rom-com movies and sang to Taylor Swift. It could be called a sister's night but since Alex actually had a girlfriend and had things to do you guys didn't.
The day after valentine's, it would take the two of you a lot to get up. A day full of stomach aches for you while Kara was exhausted but perfectly fine.
Bank robberies, kidnappings, fires, and rogue aliens had been occupying all of your’s and your sisters' day. Snow covers your black boots as you come down off the motorcycle, seeing both of your sisters in a fully engaged fight with the white martian.
Moving your glance to find any civilians in danger, you find three kids under a truck trying to shield themselves from the fight. You ran to them, from the side of the road, as another white martian arrived at the scene. You kneeled under the truck, putting one of your hands out to help a little girl, who was clinging to her teddy bear shivering before urgently speaking. “Come on, little ones. Let's get you out all out of here”
The little girls and the boy started to crawl out of the car when you heard the scream of an older woman. Looking at your side, the white martian infrared was being thrown by supergirl to the other side of the street, your side of the street.
Quickly touching your watch a force shield protected the car when the white martian tried to land on it. Your head snapped immediately when you heard the strong voice of Supergirl. “I think that's enough for both of you!”
“Okay, come on. Let's get you to your parents” You said as the force field came down and both Alex and Kara were arresting both of the rogue aliens. The kids standing shivering as you spoke.
You walked to the worried parents giving them a small smile when the kids ran into their arms. It reminded you of when you were growing up, and after each game, or show you would run into your parents and your sisters' arms with a warm smile.
“You gotta be kidding me!” You exclaim, when one of the white Martians breaks the cuffs and throws your Kryptonian sister to a building. While Alex gave a tranquilizer to the other one.
You ran up to the alien and hit him with one of the laser guns Brainy had made for the tower. When the alien glared at you, you grabbed the bombs of light and smoke and threw one in his face before throwing a white cube to him, shrinking him.
You laughed when you saw Kara groaning as she touched her head, and Alex was infuriated because the now unconscious white martian had hit her in the face.
Both of their heads snapped to you, in their way to scold you since you aren't supposed to laugh in the job only to be stopped by the voice of J’onn in the comms. “We got a bar fight in M’gann’s, can you guys take that?”
“With pleasure papa bear,” You said as you winked to your sisters while getting into the motorcycle. Kara and Alex shaking their heads with a smile before you left.
------
You entered the bar, this time without a mask covering your face and your casual clothes.  The smell of beer and tobacco immediately hit you as you did. The low blimming-colored lights overwhelmed your sight as you entered. Two mixed groups of men, aliens, and humans, with their chest puffing out and glares on their faces. You walked closer when one of the humans threw the punch at another guy.
The moment you intervene in the fight by grabbing one of the guy’s fists. The other 4 looked at you as if you had three heads before laughing. You rolled your eyes before interfering. “Take it outside, or don't take anywhere”
“And who the hell are you to tell us, what to do?” The guys resisting taking his fist from your hand said, before you
“As my sister once said, I can be a real puppy or your worst nightmare in less than two seconds.” You grinned sarcastically before letting go and pointing to the door.
The tall guy groaned as he saw the red and purple in his hand. Immediately launching his other fist to your face, only for you to dodge it before exclaiming. “Didn't learn any morals as a kid?”
The brunette guy just kept trying to hit you, only landing two hits one in your chest and the other in your stomach. You kicked his leg, making him fall to the floor, and grabbed both of his hands, twisting one of them, not enough to break it but enough for it to hurt.
The two groups stood silent as you made the tall guy fall to his knees begging for you to stop. Each one of them looked scared enough as you made the tall muscled guy fall to his knees groaning in pain.
“We don't grab, hit, or even touch anyone, sweetheart” You stoop close, pressing with more force into your arm. Unknowing the two figures standing behind you, one with a frown and the other with a proud smile as you spoke.
You grinned sarcastically when you heard your blonde sister call your name. Making you step away with the classic Danvers smile, walking up to your sister giving Alex a high five, as Kara looked at both of you rolling her eyes “Y/N”
“Now, why don't you get out of here, before I show you out” You quickly adjusted your oversize jean jacket, before speaking. Changing your whole dementor from bad cop to good baby cop.
The two groups of guys left in a hurry without further to say or do. The moment the guys were out of the room, you felt a hand hit you on the back of your head. Scoffing, you turned around to find Alex with a proud slight smile, and Kara with a scolding face on.
You didn't need to ask who was the one to hit your head, you already knew. Without any hesitation, you clenched your hand and fit your oldest sister in the shoulder making the blonde reporter huff in disagreement when you and Alex started to share punches.
Your blonde sister just claims before walking away. You and Alex look at each other before running after her, because of the threat. Not without giving each other slight punches and pushes in the way “If you guys don't stop and meet me at the Tower, I'm getting all of the potstickers tonight”
----
You walk inside of J’onn’s office to see the place as quiet as usual, putting your hand in the criminal justice book, making the blinds close and the Tower’s door open.
Kara and Alex were standing right next to J’onn or as you call him, papa bear or space dad. Nia and Lena were on the side of a medical table as Lena made adjustments to Dreamers suit and Brainy was invested in a slang book you had given him for New Year’s.
You made your presence known as you put a big take-out bag on the table as you claimed. The smell of Chinese food evaded the air. “Thought, you guys would need a little fuel if we are working tonight”
“Thank you, Y/N,”  J’onn said with a smile as you gave him a side hug.
“You are very welcome, space dad” You res[onded as the two of you pulled away, to see both of your sisters with challenging looks.
Your blonde sister said as she crossed her arms over the chest and looked at you with a serious expression. “Did you really have to embarrass the poor guy? He was trembling”
“I didn't have to, but I wanted to. He was the proper description of a frat boy” You claimed, shrugging your shoulders as you walked closer to them with a satisfied smirk on your face.
“You dated one-” Alex started giving you a look of challenge.
You responded as you held your hands up, making Alex laugh. “Yeah, before having my incredible awakening of good dating taste”
“Next time just keep it a 3” Kara said to you before cleaning her glass with her shirt as she gave you a known look of protection.
“Nixt timi jist kiip it a 3” You murmured, making your blonde older sister glare daggers at you. Alex shocked her head at both of your tactics and grabbed you by the hood of your hoodie, as Kara took her tongue out to you and you did the same.
“We are going to go before Kara and Y/N get hangry. Call if there is an emergency” She exclaimed before letting you go, as the three of you walked out of the office with your civilians' clothes.
------
The three of you were sitting in Kara’s apartment, bags and boxes of takeout surrounding you guys, as you ate potstickers, pizza, wings, and ice cream. Laughs and giggles filled the ears in the room. The smell of fast greasy, and sweet food evaded your noses.
Kara at your right side and Alex in front of you. The three of you comfortably sharing on sisters' night. With comfortable and baggy close you snuggle closer to the multitude of pillows behind you as Alex debated what had happened not long ago.“I can't believe he didn't say anything to you! If that were us, he would have our heads for good”
“I’m baby Danvers, Al. Nobody can say no to me” You said as you grabbed another slice of pepperoni pizza. A smug smile on your face as you did.
“You little shit-” Alex started before going to tickle you, only to be stopped by the sound of Kara’s question.
“Can we watch The Princess diaries?” Kara asked with a pout on her face. You jumped out of your seat agreeing with the blonde, as Alex sighed deeply and agreed abruptly faking it.
Kara and you knew better, she would enjoy it as much as the two of you. Sure, Y/F/M was your favorite movie but The Princess Diaries was a classic during your childhood even when Alex and Kara had left in a hurry to college, you kept watching it as a reminder of them.
Before the redhead could respond, Kara and you grabbed the M&M’s bag and the pillows and started to throw her the things as the two of you laughed, while your oldest sister tried to not get hit by the things you guys were throwing.
You guys didn't stop until the redhead admitted she had a special place in her heart for ‘The Princess Diaries’ saga. The three of you laughed before sitting to clean the things you had thrown. In a moment Kara speeded to the kitchen and came back with the s’mores she had prepared a few seconds before.
The chocolate dripping from the cookie and the perfectly smashed marshmallow, made your stomach grumble. You looked at Kara and Alex with a shy smile before speaking up with an idea. “How many of those do you think can fit in my mouth?”
“Five” Kara shot her head up before quickly responding.
As Alex did the same but questioning your actions. “Why?”
“Just because…” You started with a pouty face, looking like a kicked puppy at Alex.
“Two, before you start gagging” After grumbling and scolding you, she claimed to be rolling her eyes as she kept drinking from the wine cup.
You gave her a challenging look before diving in, the first one was the easiest. The third and fourth ones became a little complicated as your mouth lost the majority of space, the fifth one gave you chills as it entered your mouth. You looked up and smiled watching as Alex records you on her phone with a disapproving face but a small smile behind it.
After eating half of them and throwing up the other half, Kara hugged you tightly as she spun you around making you giggle as she did. The blonde tickled you into the couch where you fell and grabbed a pillow throwing it at her.
The three of you shared a small moment with smiles on your faces, warmness spread to your chest as the three of you shared a small ‘I love you’
Kara put the movie through and the three of you were snuggling together on her couch, still sharing the food you had ordered, and every once in a while a small joke during it.
Kara held you close to her chest as you started to fall asleep after the middle of the first movie. You heard the blonde and the redhead slightly talking as you fell into unconsciousness. Both of your sisters gave you a forehead kiss, before Kara pulled you up, taking you to her bed and covering you in the blankets.
Small smiles on their faces, when the two of them saw you hug the pillow at your left side just like you did when you were a kid. The blanket covering you completely, only leaving you outside your head. Your soft grumbles made them laugh before they looked at each other. Alex speaking up first “Y/N is always going to be our baby, Danvers”
“Yeap, always and forever” Kara responded nodding, hugging the redhead with a smile.
And they were right, you had always been and always would be their baby sibling. The three of you came in a package and it was never going to change. Neither their protectiveness of you and the annoyance they transmit to you every single day. But you were fine with that, there were pros and cons of being a family and for you, your family had always been the best one, and that was never going to change.

Super Shadowed (Finale)
Tumblr media
Summary: Kasa finds herself and shows her true colors in the face of death, unafraid of the monster in front of her.
Warning: cunning, lies
A/n: I have nothing else better to do than to continue one shots that I actually have ideas for. Also I will probably not be writing any other parts to this.

Part 1 || Finale
For Kasa, hiding her powers came easily. However since the Nazi’s arrived she held herself back from smashing her sister’s doppelgänger’s head into the metal of the Waverider, their version at least.
The younger Zor-El rolls her eyes at the handcuffs power dampeners that are placed on her wrists. She follows this tyrant closely.
“I know you know that Kryptonian promises are not meant to be broken, so these handcuffs are unnecessary.” Kasa spoke to Earth X Kara.
“It’s a safety precaution.” Führer growled.
The walk is long and cold. Kasa knew this wasn’t her sister. Her sister, her Kara, had hope and compassion for all. But a part of her couldn’t help but feel like this Kara was a mirror image of her.
Broken, alone, no place to call home. So she takes it out on power, to make herself a home where everyone loves her.
“Kara.”
Führer stopped and turned towards Kasa. He breathed down on your face, unbothered by the rotten smell coming from his mouth. “You don’t get to call her that.”
“And as you know I’m the one saving your wife. I don’t know about your Kasa.” Kara-X stopped. “But I was training for the Warrior’s Guild.” You lied.
“Just remember that we need your heart not you.”
Führer moved out of the way. In a blink of an eye the older blond marched towards Kasa.
“Leave us!” Kara-X commanded and pushed you into the MedBay.
Führer and Kara-X shared a kiss and the MedBay doors closed behind him. The room turned red after. Kara-X rids Kasa’s handcuffs off. Kasa took her place on one of the MedBay beds.
“We’re going to be in here for a while, before your skin is soft enough to cut into. Why don’t you tell me about what my sister has been up to.” Kara-X crossed and gestured for her sister to speak.
“Well that depends, do I call you Kara? General? Sister? Ooh better yet can I call you ie (sister)?”
“General, is preferred.”
“I have a question, General.” Kasa continued without Kara-X’s approval. “You were shocked to see me protecting Kara earlier,no? You aren’t 100% sure that my heart can save yours. Thawne doesn’t know that.” Kasa hopped off the bed and paced around the room.
“Yet you agreed to a Kryptonian promise. I have to say it doesn’t make sense to me, the Girl of Steel, SS General to the New Reich, ruling over with an iron fist! Submits to an outdated Kryptonian promise.”
“I DONT SUBMIT TO ANYONE OR ANYTHING!” Kara-X stood abruptly.
“Your actions say otherwise,” You smirked and winked. “You still need my heart and you can’t kill me right now knowing my heart would not be useful if I was dead and my skin not soft enough. Plus no powers for either of us.”
Kara-X huffed and glared back towards you.
“See I think you were so quick on accepting a Kryptonian practice after growing in the Fatherland because it reminds you of a home you once had. And seeing that neither of us wears our family’s crest, easily tells me you didn’t feel at home with Uki (dad) and Jeju (mom). The only one you felt at home with was Kasa.”
“She was weak! She stayed behind like a coward. She wanted to stay with Jeju and Uki, when they were the ones who brought our planet to it’s destruction! They favored her! Loved her! Even Aunt Astra loved her! Love is for the weak!” Kara-X was triggered.
“And yet you are married? Or do you only love him because he chooses you? Do you only rule this world because they value you and see you? The all powerful said, normally anyone who surrenders is weak but anyone who faces their death with no fear is honorable.” You mocked.
Kasa stalked closer to Kara-X. The almighty clutches her fists. She shakes violently replicating an earthquake that roars in pain.
“You only honor it because not only did my promise save my dear sister’s life but it saves yours. And for a split second, you remembered how it felt to be truly loved.”
Kara-X headbutts Kasa causing her to stumble backwards. “ENOUGH! I am the most powerful being on Earth! I am a god! And I will not be bullied by WEAKNESS!”
“You are no god! Just meat with bones!” Kasa ducked under a punch. “Under a red sun, you are nothing!”
Kasa smacked aside one of Kara-X’s arms and lowered the other by heading into a squat. Quickly twirling her around and pushing Kara-X onto the ground with a heavy growl.
The younger El ran to the control panel on the wall, smashed it with her elbow pulling the wires out so the door locked in place. Kryptonian technology and the futuristic ship were very similar. A hiss and white smoke erupted from the ceiling, pressurizing the door.
Kara-X charged towards her sister. To counter Kasa threw a punch. Kara-X smacked the punch downwards, snatched Kasa’s punching arm with her left, and turned counterclockwise into her sister to wrap her arm around Kasa’s neck and threw her onto the metal ground.
Kasa tripped Kara-X and locked her in a painful bone crushing hold. A crack echoed in the room. She didn’t hesitate to throw a few punches at the blond.
With a heavy breath Kasa raced towards the prism.
“There’s a difference between you and me Kara. We have a very similar background. Everyone loved Kara. But where you stand in love as a weakness, I see now that it is my strength. And where you a not yet ready for death, I am.” Kasa raised her the prism over her head.
“no,” Kara-X whispered. “No, NO!” She cried.
Kasa smashed it into the ground.
“For as long I live I will make sure you don’t get another heart, and I assure you I would not let you get another prism to finish the procedure either.”
“You promised!”
“That’s another difference between you and me dear sister,” Kasa moved the hair away from Kara-X’s face. “Krypton is dead! And so are it’s customs! It has been dead to me the moment I saw it’s debris floating in the phantom zone! But there is one thing I keep from the dead planet. And it’s a blood bond you no longer understand.” Kasa whispered emphasized each syllable of the last word.
“Open the door!” Führer urged. You both turned towards the shut door.
Kara-X pushed Kasa onto her side and twisted her knee. The agonizing scream echoed around the ship once the door opened.
Führer pulled an arrow at Kasa.
“No, we leave her to torture when we get Kara. I want her to see her little sister die before I RIP OUT HER HEART!”
“The prism.” Führer checked on his wife.
“Don’t worry about that, well use Kryptonite! Ready the troops to attack!”
“What do we do with her?” Führer nodded toward you.
“You strap me to the bow,” Kasa laughed.
Kara-X stepped on Kasa’s broken knee and earned a groan.
“She gets a front row seat to a new mausoleum.”
Kara-X and Führer shared another kiss. An arrow pierced through your hand.
“Son of a bitch!” Kasa yelped her veins glowing green.
Führer and many other soldiers walked off the ship as Kara-X dragged her sister by her hair.
The yellow sun began to regain your powers, unfortunately that included Kara-X. She broke Kasa’s left arm to prevent her from pulling the Kryptonite out faster.
“You’re as weak as they come.”
“I came into this knowing I’d die. But your clock is running out too.” Kasa’s whole body glowed sickly green. “No one hurts my family and lives. No one.” Kasa weakly chuckled. “You’ll get what’s coming to you Kara. Jeju would be so disappointed.”
Kara-X hovered over the control panel.
“KILL ME YOU COWARD! PROVE TO ME YOU’RE THE GOD YOU SAY YOU ARE!” Kasa taunted.
Kara-X only turned her head towards her sister, a flash of longing left as fast as it came. She marched towards Kasa and squeezed her throat. She stared into the eyes of her sister, released her grip and harshly pushed Kasa onto her side.
Kasa chuckled to herself. “So you do have mercy left... too bad you’re dying soon. You’re right though, this planet makes people soft, and that includes you.”
“General,” a soldier caught Kara-X attention.
“Any word of this I will rip your tongue out and feed it to you!”
“We’ve got inbound.” The soldier placed his hand behind his back.
“Then fire countermeasures!”
“We can’t it’s hovering directly off our bow.”
Kara was here. Kara’s here to save the day.
“General, care to step outside.”
Kara-X flew out towards Kara.
The ship vibrated and whined, splitting out deadly seeds to the city below. Seeds that took the nutrients from human beings and drove them into the ground. The screams and multiple tiny explosions amplified like wildfire.
It became hard to distinguish the hell fire and the thumping of her own heart. The smell of gunfire burned her nose. The red and orange flashes transported her back to Krypton.
Holding Jeju’s hand Kara and I ran onto the platform. Explosions came from the right, Kal-El’s pod had already launched. Tears threaten to fall from my eyes.
“Your pod’s coordinates are interlocked with Kal-El’s. You will follow him to Earth.” Uki addressed Kara.
“I’m not afraid, father.” I heard Kara say.
Me. I was so afraid. What if this new world was not so accepting as Jeju says.
“The trip is long, but you both will sleep most of the way and we will be with both of you in your dreams. You’ll journey to Earth to look after your baby cousin and your little sister. Because of the Earth’s yellow sun you both will have great powers on this planet. You both will do extraordinary things.” Jeju explained.
“I won’t fail Kal-El, Kasa or you.” Kara smiled.
Jeju kissed Kara’s forehead. I hugged onto Jeju’s leg. An explosion went off in the distance.
“Will I ever see you again?” I asked quietly.
“Rao will let us meet again, but not for a long time. Promise you’ll have great stories okay.” Jeju kissed my temple and carried me into the foot of the pod.
Kara and Jeju hugged a long while as Uki turned away with tears in his eyes. When Kara got in the pod doors materialized. The pod picked up speed and launched into space.
Jeju had taken Kara and I to other planets before but the launch was so much  scarier than any before. The planet flashed an orange and yellow.
Anger grew inside of me since that day. Kara had it all. But on the brink of death I knew that Family is Power and Kara was the hero everyone needed.
I was ready to share my story with Jeju with the new realizations from telling them. To see the things I couldn’t see before.
“Amaya! It’s Kara’s sister, Kasa” A girl in dark leather and a red necklace came to Kasa’s side.
“Ladies the ship is going to explode!” Cisco shouted.
Kasa was consumed by the blue portal. Her eyes hazed and tried to adjust to the difference of lighting.
Frosty pulled out the arrow and froze over the wound.
“You’ll be okay.” Frosty smiled.
“I’m detecting dangerously high radiation levels.” A robotic voice spoke over the speakers.
“Computer voice lady’s right Supergirl-X is about to go supernova.” Cisco warned.
“Supergirl you doppelgänger is about to have a meltdown.” The man piloting the ship said.
“Kara?” Kasa managed to pull herself off the gurney.
“Wait hey, you are in terrible form to even stand.” The brunette with the yellow suit guided the kryptonian back towards the gurney.
“Nate caught your sister, she’s gonna be fine, kid. We don’t need another death on the ship.”
“Zari...” The yellow suit lady scolded.
“(Y/n)!” Your D.E.O sister ran towards you with Kara behind her.
“Is she gone?”
Kara nodded and caressed your cheek. “(Y/n)! I’m so glad you’re okay.”
“I’m okay with Kasa too. I feel really tired.”
“We found your sister on their Waverider. Broken arm, leg, kryptonite arrow in her hand.” Caitlyn said.
“That was so dumb of you! We don’t trade lives!” Kara scolded.
“Liar, you were willing to put your life aside to save everyone on this Earth. Earth needs their hero, and I need my sister alive. El Mayarah.” You smiled up to both your sisters.
“Hey you stole my line.” Alex kissed your forehead.
“I’ll tell you all about it after my nap.” Your eyes shuttered.
“Heal up, we will get you home.” Kara kissed your forehead. “Jeju would be so proud. I’m proud of you too!”
“Home is where you and Alex are.”

The Proposal | Chapter One
The Proposal Masterlist
Tumblr media
Summary: The Proposal™ au, where Ivar gets swept away in a lie about a fake engagement to stay in the country and needs to convince everyone (including his family) that he’s genuinely engaged to a woman he works with
Warnings: use of the word cripple, mild swearing
Word Count: 1,967
With two cups of coffee in hand and a binder under your left arm, you exited the elevator. It was a delicate balancing act and you already managed to drop the binder once... five blocks from here. Admittedly, the coffees were far more important than that.
“Good morning, Y/N!”
Your head spun around to greet your coworker, a grin on your face. “Well good morning, Paola.” Work was always more pleasant before the boss came in. You walked over and sat upon her desk, enjoying the few minutes of chatter everybody engaged in. It wouldn’t last much longer.
“Did you enjoy your date this weekend,” Paola asked as she looked up on you.
You gave an over dramatic groan and rolled your eyes. “I’d rather not be reminded of it. All he did was talk about his exes. Look, here’s some solid advice, Polly. When a guy says all his exes are crazy he’s probably the problem.”
Granted, you still went out with him to begin with. It was a testament to your own bad taste. “What a shame,” Paola huffed as she leaned back in her seat. “I made a bet earlier with Kara that you’d really hit it off with him.”
“I’ll consider that your karma for making bets about my love life then,” you teased.
The building settled into small talk. You talked more about past relationships and Paola encouraged you to find someone. She was currently engaged, and you figured she wanted someone to relate to her.
“The Tyrant has entered the building!”
A quick warning call from the cubical closest to the elevator. All chatter immediately stopped and people rushed to their desks and pretended to be busy on sight. You hoped off of your friend’s desk and picked your stuff up again. “I’ll talk to you later,” you winked at her.
Right on cue the sound of heavy steps and a cane came from the elevator and out stepped your boss. Ivar Lothbrok. He wore a permanent scowl on his face as he walked by, straight to his office.
When you first got transferred to the department you had been excited to finally get to work with him. The man was handsome as hell. Dark hair, piercing blue eyes, tall. He looked like a dream. His accent didn’t help either. Your dreams had prepared you for some steamy forbidden love office romance, and instead you woke up to the realization that the man was the closest thing to a psychopath you ever met.
As Ivar headed to his office you immediately followed. You knocked twice on the door and entered as usual. “Good morning, Mr. Lothbrok,” you grinned. He didn’t glance up from his desk, his eyes buried in paperwork.
“Set it down on the desk.”
You placed the coffee on his desk and left. There was a routine to things. He stopped being as angry with you even if he was never friendly. You were probably the only person in the office who didn’t get yelled at anymore. Any anger on your end was hidden behind locked lips.
On your way out the door you bumped into Trevor Taylor, the man not bothering to mind his steps as he stormed into the office. You didn’t bother looking back and whistled. It was difficult to hide your amusement. Every so often people came in, screamed obscenities, and got dragged away by security.
“You’re firing me!” The voice boomed through the office and every worker immediately stopped. “You can’t fire me, you need me!”
Ivar didn’t glance up, ignoring the postering.
“And you can’t even look at me,” Trevor shook his head. “What are you? Deaf now too? Answer me!” His hands slammed down on the desk.
“Don’t you think an outburst like this is exactly why you’re getting fired?” Ivar’s blue eyed remained frozen. Normally he wouldn’t hesitate to get into a shouting match, say something to make the man cry and watch him leave. The difference today was that Trevor Taylor desired attention so badly that to deny him was more satisfying. Trevor worked himself up to a breaking point. “You should pack your things before we throw them out, Trevor.”
“I’m invaluable to this company. You know that. You’re bluffing.”
“You’re a bad worker. You turn things in late and underperform in everything you do.” The words easily slipped out as Ivar flipped through a file.
“I’m not getting fired from a guy who can’t even chase me down a flight of stairs.”
Those words got to Ivar. The man had had it coming for a while now. “The only reason you lasted this long is that everyone pitied you after your wife slept with your brother. But I didn’t. And I still don’t.” He closed the file and stared up at Trevor.
“You crippled fuck!” Trevor grabbed the coffee and squeezed until it burst open across Ivar’s face and down his suit.
“Get the fuck out of here!” Ivar stood up, grabbing his cane as tightly as he could; thankful the coffee didn’t drip down to his braces. It took everything to avoid throwing something at the man, but he couldn’t deal with another lawsuit like that. “Security,” he called out.
__
Two men came in and Trevor was dragged out kicking and screaming. Everyone in the office watched with great intent. Ivar came out of his office next, drenched in coffee and thankful he preferred cold drinks.
You eyed him and hesitated for a moment before you decided he might need help, even if he didn’t want it. You got up and followed behind him, grabbing the spare coffee.
You found him just inside a private bathroom. The door wasn’t locked and you entered as if you weren’t straight up entering a bathroom.
“I take it that was another successful firing,” you teased to lighten up the mood. He glanced back, his stare shot daggers into your soul. “He had it coming. I don’t think anyone’s taking his side.” You had heard the words being shouted. It hadn’t taken long for Trevor to bring up the man’s legs a few extra times before security arrived times. He had done it in private many times before.
Ivar took off his suit jacket and began unbuttoning his shirt. Your eyes couldn’t stop themselves as they stared down his chest. You bit your bottom lip and pried your eyes away. “I don’t care what they think.”
You knew he did. It was your job to know everything about him. You hated him half the time but there was no way Ivar was as evil as he portrayed. “You can have my coffee,” you placed it on the sink counter next to him.
He grabbed it and took a sip. A moment later he eyed you with amusement. “And I’m assuming it’s not a coincidence we have the same taste in coffee.”
“I’m clumsy. Plus, I had a feeling Trevor wasn't about to respond well to being fired,” you admitted sheepishly.
“I should have you fired for ass kissing.”
“What—“, you blinked in surprise.
“Grab my spare from the office.” He didn’t elaborate and sent you on an errand. “And then take these to the cleaners.” He handed you the stained close.
You nodded your head and left.
“What do you mean my visa is revoked?” Ivar demanded as he sat before his superiors in his office. “I’m supposed to get my citizenship by Friday?”
“You violated the terms of agreement. You left the country.”
“I went to Quebec! It’s hardly outside the US! And mind you, it was for this company.” Ivar was angry now, this whole thing was ridiculous. “Look— I’ll just reapply again and figure it out all. In the meantime I can relocate back to Europe for a little while.”
“We can’t have you employed here if you aren’t a citizen or have a visa.” The man before Ivar admitted, “and the process is going to take over a year.”
“So what are you saying?”
Ivar already knew the answer, but he needed to hear them say it.
“Unless you can find a way to legally stay here you can’t work for the company.”
Ivar laughed, “you don’t have anyone else even half as qualified as me.”
“Trevor Taylor.”
“I just fired the guy, he doesn’t even work here,” Ivar scoffed. His hands crossed over his chest as he leaned back in the chair. This whole ordeal was ridiculous. Why was he even putting up with this?
“Well I’m sure he’s looking for a new job then.”
Ivar remained silent for a moment, his brain worked fast to find some sort of loophole. He couldn’t just go back home unemployed to his family.
The sound of the office door opening pulled him from his thoughts. He turned his head and saw you there, anger swelling up inside him. You had came to bring back his dry cleaning. Ivar was on edge and anything would set him over expect—
“Actually this won’t be a problem at all,” Ivar stood up and he walked over to you and placed his free arm over your shoulders, confusion clear on your face. “Because we’re getting married.”
“You are?”
You were frozen, unsure of what you walked in on.
“Exactly. We didn’t want to spoil the whole thing, office etiquette and stuff. But it’s true, we’re madly in love. And since we’re getting married I’ll be staying in the US just fine,” Ivar said.
“I get it, we’ve all had an office romance or two. So long as you get it approved I don’t see a problem with it.” The man said. It was clear he was also looking for any plausible excuse to keep Ivar around. Despite the fearsome reputation, Ivar was great for the company.
The two men exchanged goodbyes while you remained dazed, but rather than question things while Ivar’s boss was in the room you waited until the man left.
“I’m not marrying you.”
“Yes, you are.”
“What just happened?”
“That trip to Quebec cost me my visa. If I don’t have one I can’t stay.” Ivar said so simply, moving back behind his desk.
“I’m forgetting the part where this is my problem?” Considering the fact that Ivar was suddenly pairing you off as engaged you figured you deserved to sit in the chair as you argued with him.
Ivar paused for a moment, the gears turning in his head. “Trevor will replace me if I go. He hates you as much as me right now, so unless you don’t want to be out of a job I suggest you agree. It’s only three years. We don’t even have to live together.”
The whole idea sounded ridiculous but in some aspects he was right. You’d lose your job. You spent far too many souless years working here and the idea of starting over was terrifying. “Well— what if I actually wanted to get married?”
“It’ll take a lot longer than three years for you to convince anyone to marry you,” Ivar said simply as he went back to his work. The deal was sealed in his mind.
You struggled to formulate a response. “Fine. But I get a promotion.”
His blue eyes found yours. “And why would I do that, Y/N?”
You blinked in response. It should’ve been obvious why. “I— well I’m the reason you’re keeping your job. You owe me too. That’s three years of my life for your benefit.”
The offer was made and he was forced to think. “Fine.” His hands were tied and he hated it. “Do you want anything else”, annoyance was evident in his tone.
“A proposal.”
“What?”
“A proper one.”
Ivar’s eyes narrowed. He didn’t care for the idea and admittedly a part of him wasn’t sure he could. He couldn’t get down on one knee. “I’m not doing that.”
A moment of silence passed before you gave up. “Fine. But at least say it. Like you mean it.” You were being petty but it was the least this guy could do.
He took a deep breath and stared at you with intent. “Y/N—“ Ivar stopped himself and paused.
“Do you not know my last name?”
There was more silence as you both eyed each other.
“Will you just marry me.” Ivar concealed any embarrassment he felt over the situation. He appeared tense and a little angry. This was a better proposal than you expected from him, all things considered.
“Yes.”
