Why does no one ever point out the fact that at the end of 'Heir to the demon' when Sara is at Laurel's and Laurel just attacks her, throws a fucking glass at her and her parents do nothing and take Laurel's side, Sara has literally nowhere to go. She almost died from poison, has come home after 6 years of hell and no one in her family stops her from leaving because drunk Laurel makes a scene.
And then Sara gets attacked for going to Oliver after all of that. Where else was she supposed to go? To the clock tower to be all alone after the very traumatic couple of days she's had? After almost dying just hours ago? After her sister threw a fucking glass at her and her parents did nothing except comfort Laurel? Sara must have felt so loved and wanted in that moment...
Sara almost died that night but no one actually cares. Not her family, not the Arrow fans. This fact just always gets over looked in that scene and the repercussions from it. Honestly, it's a wonder Sara didn't take off after that. She must have felt so utterly alone and rejected. It makes Oliver's reaction to her telling him she's home all the more powerful and the meaning behind her words.
Her original home, her family, had just rejected her, but Oliver, her new home, welcomed her back with open arms, dragging her right in the front door, desperately trying to convince her to stay in the home he had created with him. Wanting her with him always.
And I'm not saying Laurel wasn't allowed to be angry, she was but the way she acted was out of line and not okay, she threw a fucking glass at her, if it had hit Sara she could've been seriously hurt, and their parents should not have let it come to the point it did and just let Sara walk away.

Okay, so unpopular opinion but Oliver didn't really have a right to be angry at Moira after he found out Thea was Malcolm's daughter, or maybe he did but he had no right to judge her without even giving her a chance to explain.
One he knows better than anyone that people make mistakes. He has cheated on his past girlfriend several times, having a full blown affair with her sister, so getting mad at his mother for having been involved with a friend of his father's is a bit hypocritical. Just saying.
I get that he was hurt and very emotional, Felicity's awful timing in dropping that bomb didn't help and his first reaction being like this makes kind of sense given the entire situation he found himself in, but after the first shock and some of the initial feelings had passed, it would've made more sense for him to confront her and get the entire story, which he would've understood.
And two that knowledge changed nothing for him when it came to his feelings about Thea. So it didn't really matter and since he was also angry at Moira because she made a liar out of him because Thea could never know once again shows that he agrees with Moira's choice to not tell Thea. So they are on the same page and the actual person who turned him into a liar is Felicity. Moira wasn't the one who told him that secret and burdened him with that knowledge, Felicity was. Moira would've taken it to her grave.
Also, honestly, Felicity is more to blame than Moira. And I know a lot of people will disagree with me here but there was no reason why Oliver or Thea needed to know that Thea wasn't Robert's biological daughter. He had loved her as if she were his own. And after knowing who Malcolm was and what he had done it would've been a kindness on Felicity's side to not share that information, especially because she went against Oliver's wishes and behind his back to dig into his family's past. That is not okay.
Plus Thea being Malcolm's daughter had no effect on their lives until the moment Thea learnt about it. Had Felicity stayed out of the Queen family's business, they wouldn't have lost everything, the relationship between Moira and her children wouldn't have been fractured before her death and Thea wouldn't have gone with Malcolm and lost her trust in Oliver and been manipulated to kill Sara.
The fact that Oliver was not angry at Felicity also made little sense to me. Like Moira said, he'd hate Moira but he'd hate Felicity too, he should've at the very least been angry at her for going against him and purposely go to try and dig up dirt on his mother. I would've been. If someone who claimed to be my friend wouldn't listen if I told them to not go hack my family I'd be mad. It's my family and none of their business. But that's just my opinion.
Plus people are entitled to their secrets and Moira had good reasons to keep that one. It was the only way to keep Thea out of Malcolm's grasp. Her action was made out of love and in order to protect her daughter.
Moira made some shady decisions but I get this one, especially since Robert had been aware of it and chosen to love and raise Thea as his own. Not telling Thea was a kindness at that point in time and since both Moira and Robert had known how dangerous Malcolm is for years I think keeping the truth from Thea had been the right choice. Learning the truth messed her up so much which is proof that the choice to keep it from her had been the right one on Moira's part.
This is just something that's been bugging me for a while but I couldn't really articulate why until now, lol.

DPxDC My Brother in the Mirror
Damian doesn't like mirrors.
He never mentioned the fact to other members of the family, but they are detectives and vigilantes, it's their job to be observant. Which, after so many years, becomes a habit.
Damian doesn't actively avoid the mirrors - he has a mirror in his bathroom, he didn't express any discomfort over going into a mirror labyrinth at some carnival they've attended (he expressed disgust over taking part in something so stupid, in his words, but that's a whole another story), and he actually spent a few minutes in front of the funhouse mirrors when no one was looking, watching his own reflection distort in various ways. He also has no problems with his self-image - he doesn't mind pictures of him taken at any time (unless it's Tim, but that's, again, a whole another story), he's drawn a few self-portraits that were rather accurate and he liked them.
He just doesn't like mirrors. For some reason.
His family, both close and extended, never questioned it. They did some gentle research to see if the dislike was caused by some kind of problem Damian was experiencing without telling anyone, but when they found no proof of that, they've just decided it was some quirk of his. Everyone has quirks. Dick doesn't like eating cereal like a normal person, Tim despises sleep, Steph is at war with any color other than purple.
That is, until one day, Tim witnesses Damian sitting in front of a mirror.
He is not even aware of it - the whole family is having a game night, and through some arguments and rearrangements on the couch, Damian ends up sitting on the left side of it, where his back is turned to one of the three mirrors in the room. Tim, who's lost the last round, is slumping in an armchair nearby, pointedly looking away from the screen where Damian and Jason are enthusiastically competing over the first place in Mario Cart. Of course, Tim can't just not watch it since he needs to know their strategies. But turning back around would also be admitting defeat.
The solution? Easy, watch the screen through the mirror.
Which is when he notices it.
Damian in the mirror doesn't act the same as Damian in the room. Out of the corner of his eye, Tim can see the real Damian moving around, shoving Jason with his elbow, fully concentrated on the game, and yelling something. Damian-in-the-mirror is sitting unnaturally still, the back of his head over the couch unmoving.
Tim forgets all about the game when Damian's reflection starts to turn around. Slowly and carefully, eerie in the way the horror movies are, the boy in the mirror turns his head around like an owl, his neck twisting inhumanely.
His eyes are green. Green like the toxic waste, like Jason's madness, like acid in cartoons, like the Waters of Lazarus.
Damian in the mirror smiles, his unblinking, gliwing eyes fixed on Tim, and his teeth are sharp and pointy, and there are too many of them, humans can't smile this wide.
"-im? Tim!" A hand nudges him in the shoulder, and Tim looks away from the mirror, finding Dick standing over him. The noise of the game room returns all at once, and, wait, when did it become quiet for Tim?.. He must have a strange expression on his face because Dick's easy smile falls slightly, and he frowns, "Is everything okay?"
Tim looks back to the mirror, but the green-eyed boy in the mirror is gone, and the mirror only reflects Damian as he is: sitting on the couch.
"Yeah," Tim shakes his head and forces a smile on his lips, "I just zoned out."
"Okay," Dick pats him on the shoulder and gives him the controller, "It's your turn now."
Tim takes the controller and turns around, facing the screen. Tim throws a quick glance at Damian, who had slid down on the couch so his head would not be in the reflection anymore. Tim sees the cold, warning hint to his eye, a clear do not speak of it message.
Tim doesn't like that the mirror is now behind him.

DC x DP Idea
After several years, Danny and Damian meet each other again at a gala. But there was no heartfelt reunion since the moment they led eyes on each other it was all-out war. Damian takes out a sword from somewhere and Danny just starts throwing hands.
The fighting is intense, and blood is being spilled (what are those glowing green specks?). They are screaming at each other in Arabic as it's easier to slip back to your mother tongue when in rage right? This makes the fight more personal.
Most people don't understand what they're saying but those who do look at the boys then Bruce. Bruce then back to the boys again. Like B, we know you're stupid but you fucked this person twice.... did you NOT see the red flags the SECOND TIME!?!?
The fight ends with Damian on the ground with the sword grazing his neck. He looks up to Danyal with the fear of god in his eyes, knowing that with one swift movement, he'll be dead on the dance floor. But Danny's eyes were cold and tired, they were dead. No spark, no sense of life in those chilling blue depths.
Calmly, Danny spoke to Damian. His voice was crystal clear, cool like a mountain stream.
"Just because you jumped into the fire behind me doesn't mean you felt the pain I did.  Your hand was held above the flames while I was being burnt in the fucking fire."
Damian begins to cry because he knows that Danny is right. No matter what he went through, it would never compare to what happened to his big brother. Even more so, when he feels long lanky arms wrap around him, a cool hand rubbing his back soothingly, and whispers of sweet nothingness entering his ears.
He cries because no matter what he does he will never be like his big brother.

At a Peak Lord Meeting
Yue Qingyuan: Shidi, why do you have a child with you?
Shang Qinghua: This is Wei Ying, he is my new son. Also if the Jiang clan asks about me, pretend you don't know me
Shen Qingqiu: Should I even ask?
Shang Qinghua: They were abusing him! If they are going to mistreat him then they don't deserve him!
Yue Qingyuan, sighing: Fine then
Shang Qinghua: When we get home I will introduce you to A-Yao, your new big brother
Wei Ying, tearing up: What about shijie and chengcheng?
Shang Qinghua: Fine, I'll kidnap them too
Yue Qingyuan: Shidi, please!

Faun the Goat!
🦌➕🐍🟰🐐⁉️
(Not to be confused with "Shaun the Sheep.")
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Made for that one Twitter trend of designing a Radioapple fankid! 📻🍎 I went with the dark haired variant because the Morningstar family already has too many blondes and I prefer to have half of both worlds when imagining them together. As the spawn of a radio host and a ringmaster (plus having a theater kid for an older sister), Faun was practically raised to perform and he chose to use his voice for comedy (influenced by his dads). But as the second heir, he's more likely to inherit LuLu Land than all of Hell, so it works out in his favor anyway. Low-key based on my little brother. Who would just barge in our room, say a godawful joke, then leave... Like wut??? 🤓
Tumblr media
ABOUT THIS ARTSTYLE: I know it's a lot, but there's a reason I could never do a sketchbook tour. How do I even begin to explain??? When they turn out EXACTLY like this!!! This is me at my most comfortable. Making OCs. Drawing loose and self-indulgent art. Just to remind myself to have fun. So it's mostly for me. Now that he's done... Back to making my AU!

Here’s the thing about the Twin AU that people aren’t considering: the Drs Fenton are resourceful! They can make amazing inventions out of household objects and machines!
So when they were accepting a contract from Ra’s to look at the Lazarus Pits in conjunction to their research (ie the best dissertation material ever) they looked at the spare twin that was being sacrificed and said “a perfectly good baby like that would probably be nice to have around!”
Sure, the Spare Heir was ecto contaminated because of the pits and that’s why Ra’s was getting rid of him, but seriously, not everything needed to be brand new these days! Upcycle! Science can fix all the ectoplasm and possession! He’ll be just like new in no time! Take that baby out of the pit and wash em up and take that baby to the Midwest! Teach that baby about stars and Ghosts!
The Drs Fenton take baby danny on their last day, knowing that the league thinks that he’s dead- already sacrificed, Ra’s felt the power shift of the Infinite Realms- and proceed forward like nothing was ever a big deal! They published their findings on the pits, they got another contract/grant and then began the journey to start moving towards their other projects!
Why tell Jazz, she’s only a toddler when they bring him home?
Why tell Danny, he’s just their little man, their Dann-o?
Things will probably be fine, because just like their up cycled machines and portals- an upcycled baby wouldn’t have any problems! Their inventions always worked perfectly! Their son would be just as perfect!
Cue the shenanigans of Damian and Danny meeting, the normal amount of “you’re the clone” finger pointing (which Danny wins because he has actual baby/childhood photos) and then some ghosts of assassins past trying to cause issues for Phantom.

More Dark Rise and Dark Heir thoughts:
My prediction is that Will isn't a reliable narrator about his past self and the text is deliberately misleading about the relationship between Sarcean and the Light. Bait and switch foils are some of Pacat's favourite narrative tools and i'd be surprised (and honestly a bit angry) if it was as simple as the Dark King (with all his queer symbolism) equates to evil and the Lady (with all her Christian iconography) equates to good.
The biggest example of 'unreliable narrator Will' is how he already believes he's evil and that people are right to abuse and want to kill him. As we see with how all his thoughts about his mother in Dark Rise are loving, magnanimous, and illustrating a desire to avenge her death. Then in Dark Heir the reader discovered how abusive she was because of her belief in his 'innate evil'.
The point is, though, that Will isn't innately evil. No one is. Eleanor never had the right to treat baby Will as she did. Just as the Stewards never had the right to treat James as appallingly as they did. No one had the right to abuse and try to kill them. The Stewards created their own villain by treating James like a villain and that same principle applies to how everyone is treating Will.
Sarcean in his pov isn't good, but neither is he evil. He is Will. He's observant, artful, sneaky, scheming, smart, and uncommunicative. He's heartbreakingly loyal to those he loves. He rewards loyalty to him even if they turn on him later. He's ruthless and overly aware of how others perceive him. He craves control. He's obsessively and irrevocably in love with Anharion. I don't think Sarcean is some evil self separate from Will, Will keeps making all Sarcean's mistakes because they are, fundamentally, the same. I do think Will coming into himself and making better decisions will be in his accepting that Sarcean is not a separate person at all.

I’m curious on your take of this; if it came down to the fated would you rather of ‘save the world and Y/N dies or save Y/N and the world is destroyed,’ where do you think each character would stand?
Tumblr media
“Y/N or the World?”
This is a very interesting question! In Lego Monkie Kid, the Celestial Realm and the Underworld are literal places you can go, which I think tips everyone’s decisions- specifically, towards letting Y/N die. I mean, the world for just one person is a BIG ask. If it was “just” a city, maybe they’d be more amiable to the idea of sacrifice.
Especially when a big portion of these characters are outright heroes who have given their all to save the world on multiple occasions. There’s no way that any of them would trade all the world for one person… when they could just sacrifice Y/N and then… get them back?
Especially if you are genuinely a bad person.
Tumblr media
Like, Fiery Reunion!Y/N actively; of their own will and volition, aids their family in trying to take over the world. Even if it would come at the cost of innocent lives, they give their absolute all to ensure that Princess Iron Fan and Demon Bull King reach their goals. 100% go straight to hell, do not collect 200$.
And Journeyfam’s Y/N has killed and eaten innocent people just for trespassing, so… their ass is also getting cooked in hellfire. Thankfully, Wukong will just smash his way into the Underworld (again) and then smash his way back out (again) with Y/N tucked under his arm. Or Sanzang could literally just go and start praying for a favorable outcome, and a god WILL answer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other characters, like the Mayor and the Lady Bone Demon in the Crystal Heir scenario… already want their obsession dead? Y/N is only being allowed to live so that the power buried inside them can grow stronger with age and time. Even if they have to be killed far sooner than planned… oh well? It was gonna happen anyways- it would simple occurred much later if these two had their way.
Tumblr media
And even if Y/N was an incredible person who is definitely going to be reincarnated… nuh uh??
Even if every last hero has to smash down the ivory and jade gates of the Celestial Realm to claim Y/N’s wayward soul and stuff it back into their body, they ARE getting you back. Maybe a few deities fall on the way there, but..
You’re coming home. No matter the cost.

The True Heir
Danyal Al Ghul was the one and only heir to the Demons Head.
Then, he died.
The obvious solution was to put him in the Lazarus Pits and resurrect him. Although there was always a risk of him going mad, the pros far outwayed the cons.
Except the Pit didn't give him back.
Ra's, unwilling to lose his perfect heir, turned to cloning. The result? Many, many failures, and finally, one Damian Al Ghul.
Damian wasn't perfect. Far from it, really. He differed from Danyal in such critical ways, from their mannerisms to their loyalties, but.
Ra's had his heir, and that was enough.

The ranking seems to consider status, cultivation ability, personality and looks. In this case JGY's status would be as a son of a second wife/concubine (Nie Huaisang was in this position before their father died and NMJ became Sect Leader, leaving him as heir). For the sake of controlling as many variables as possible assume that his cultivation is the same as canon--if he were raised in a Sect and able to begin cultivating earlier he might have been a stronger cultivator, but there's no way to guess by how much.
As far as I know there are no official ranks given for Nie Huaisang, Wen Chao, Wen Xu or Wen Ning. They definitely count, and based on status Wen Xu is probably a decent guess for Mystery Bachelor #6, but who knows!
