Stupid Hydra - Marvel Earth-D4d5c4e5
Tumblr media
The Hydra in my AU. Red Skull is a chaotic world domination man. He's smart you know, but for some reason acts stupid sometimes.
Strucker worship H*tler, and all the other members despise him because of that.
Heinrich have only revanche in mind and become dangerous for himself and others.
Madame Hydra aka Vipere, have to deal with this three stupid men.
Arnim Zola not in the draw, he's part of the Hydra but not by choice. He's being kidnap and obliged to work with Hydra now.

Not hard to see why Baron Heinrich Zemo was one of the most hated men in his country, even amongst the very worst of humanity.

Baron Zemo is an unrepentant Nazi and a prejudicial monster, but I still feel a little bad about the cloth permanently grafted to his face. That has to be painful. Maybe it's not good to be able to feel sympathy for a horrible person like that, but it does sound painful. The man spends 20 years (at least) with a cloth grafted to his face. Does that affect his skin? His health? I have to imagine it's hard to eat or drink through his cloth covering. I'm also wondering what we'd find if his mask was removed. I kind of expect him to be badly disfigured, but I don't know.

And so the forces of freedom and fascism come together to destroy even weirder fascism! It's the American Way!

Rumlow is actually able to re-crack the gem, ending this situation. Hilariously I’m not sure his boss would actually be happy about this outcome… but we will get to that later.

Oh god, I can't decide if I'm more intrigued by 'Heinrich, WinterBaron' or 'Nagel/Zemo', so whichever one of those you feel more like talking about
Hello my love 😘
I knew in my heart you would be the one to ask about these two haha - the Nagel one was something you and Eve and I all talked about for a while in the FCCU where Sam and Bucky send Zemo undercover for more info about the serum and watch as Nagel doses Zemo's drink, tell him and have Zemo be like: it's cool, just follow wherever he takes my body 😅 Something something non con and sex pollen. I never got very far with it, but it was always going to be for you.
And the Heinrich one! This one I can give more of at least. A sequel to And One For the Little Boy with a super great title tbh, kinda sad it'll probably never see more use than this ask -
I'm giving you all 800 words because I don't actually think I'll manage anything for you for your birthday this year (and it kinda breaks my heart, I swear I tried 😭) and you deserve something you'll actually enjoy:
Set Before the King Heinrich/Helmut
Zemo shoulders his duffel bag and steps out from the giant sliding metal doors of the Hydra Preparatory Academy in the American Appalachian Mountains - he keeps his eyes on his scuffed up boots and counts the steps to the small private jet that awaits him across the walkway.
He’s been enrolled in the Academy for a single season, the winter one, and has little to show for it aside from the aches deep in his bones and the bruising around his jaw and joints; word had travelled too-quick from the Hydra Installation to the Academy - his peers spreading a mix of truth and lies about his encounter with The Winter Soldier.
They have not been kind.
Zemo stops, his breath catching in his throat when he sees the immaculately clean and polished leather of tightly laced dress shoes; he lifts his gaze slowly and straightens out his shoulders, he tilts his chin up and presses his mouth into a firm line - he was not expecting to be greeted by his father.
Heinrich stands tall, his arms folded tightly over his chest; he no longer towers over Zemo in height, but his very presence still makes Zemo feel like he’s back to being that small little boy with bare, sun kissed knees.
Zemo’s father is dressed from toe to collar in black - his jacket is balanced over his shoulders, giving off the appearance of a cape; he cuts a striking figure with the early sunrise peaking just over the mountain range.
Heinrich is frowning and Zemo swallows down the fear and panic that rises like bile at the back of his throat; he waits, watching his father look over his appearance - Zemo’s hands shake and he balls them into tight fists at his side.
Zemo winces, remembering how he had thrown on his wrinkled uniform this morning; he’d left his shirt loose and untucked and his pants folded up over the loosely laced up boots he’d slipped on without thinking - Oeznik had been meant to meet him, he should have had time to redress before seeing his father again.
Heinrich tsks, his lips pursing at the corner, his nose twitches like he’s just seen or smelled something foul and he turns without a word, climbing up the folded out stairs to board their private plane - Zemo hesitates, looking tentatively back to the doors of the Academy.
He hears the sharp snap of his father’s fingers and he follows, wordlessly.
They sit across from each other inside and Zemo tries not to squirm under his father’s constant and calculating gaze; he sits up straight the entire time, his back never touching the soft leather of the chair behind him.
The silence feels deafening.
It’s over five hours into the flight before his father speaks.
“Did you think that I would not hear about your time away.” Heinrich says - his voice is low and even, just loud enough that it makes Zemo flinch; Zemo knows that it’s not a question, not really.
There could never be a right answer.
Zemo stays silent.
His lips are dry and his mouth feels sticky and parched, he’s been too scared to make a sound, even if it had been only to ask for water; the aches in his body feel more pronounced after being still in the same position for multiple hours and he can feel the static of his legs having fallen asleep hours ago - he curls his toes inside his boots and exhales slowly through his nose at the pin-pricks that radiate up along his calves.
“Every single thing you do comes back to me.”
“I’m-” Zemo starts; he winces at how cracked his voice sounds - he carefully licks his lips and swallows around nothing before trying again, “I am sorry, father.”
“Are you?” Heinrich asks - he leans forward in his seat, shortening the distance between them; he raises an eyebrow and tilts his head slightly to the side, “Have you heard the things they say?”
His father reaches across the space and curls his fingers around Zemo’s chin, digging his fingertips into the skin - he runs his nails through the short, spiky hairs that now pepper along Zemo’s jawline and his frown deepens making lines of displeasure appear on his forehead.
“Yes sir.” Zemo breathes out - he can feel tears building up under his eyes and struggles to blink them away; he presses his lips into a firm line when a single drop slides down the side of his face, carving a wet line down along his cheek to touch his father’s fingers.
Heinrich scoffs and pulls his hand away, jerking Zemo’s head to the side as he does so; he leans back in his chair and looks away from Zemo, staring out the window with a scowl.
“You are such an embarrassment to me.” he says.
(I love you so much Shan ❤️)

Paging Doctor Zemo...
I've really been wanting an updated Heinrich Zemo from Marvel Legends ever since we got this baggy suit body. I didn't think we'd get it this quickly. Also included was Arnim Zola! Fun! As someone who missed the previous two, sure, I'll take it. I gotta admit I mainly bought this pack for big bad daddy Zemo, though.
Zola is alright, but being a straight rerelease of a BAF that's over ten years old(!!!) means it feels dated. It has brighter colors and a new Kirby-esque face. Legs get very poor forward range, but considering the character, I don't need him to kick very high.
Zemo, however, wow! I love this thing. It cuts a very mean silhouette. The skirt and fur collar just really fill things out. As with the other figures that use this base, it's very fun and poseable too. The alternate head is gnarly and it means this figure is actually pulling double duty. After all, Heinie's whole thing is that he glued his sock to his head permanently. There have been times where Helmut has taken to wearing his dad's grody old stuff, so this head represents that.
Two things to address. One: you'll notice just how much the purple on the limbs contrasts against the torso. This is HIGHLY exaggerated by my flash photography. In-hand, it's hardly noticeable. Two: he came with a sword. Now, I don't really associate Heinrich with swashbuckling sword swinging like his offspring. Maybe he used one before, but ehhhh. I would have liked to see some kind of scepter like the old TB figure or maybe a canister of Adhesive X instead.
Overall, it's a solid set. Zemo is fantastic, Zola is fine, but I can see why people who have the previous two would skip this one. If you have Zola already, wait for a sale. If not? I got my money's worth out of it if nothing else.

Summary:
Written from this prompt, though I've taken some liberties with it - Due to unfortunate circumstances, Bucky and Zemo start swapping dreams (and nightmares). Zemo dreams of HYDRA Trash (and brainwashing) Parties and Bucky dreams of EKO Scorpion, Heinrich Zemo's stellar parenting but also happy times with Heike and Carl that all end with their deaths. What they do about it and how it impacts their relationship is left to your imagination. Bonus point: It starts when Zemo is still in the Raft.

Hydra Trash Party Fanwork Recs
For the @tenyearsoftrash event. (Throwing this together quickly and life is getting in the way, so I may add more as the event goes on.)
Power Corrupts
by SageGarnish Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers, Peggy Carter/Steve Rogers Summary: Set post-Endgame, Steve Rogers is definitely in love with Bucky, but he's decided it can never be. When he returns to 1948, he marries Peggy, but is haunted by the knowledge that Bucky is currently The Winter Soldier, and has 70 years of suffering ahead. Steve knows he shouldn't damage the timeline with large changes, so he decides to start small. Surely it would be okay to simply infiltrate HYDRA, become Bucky's handler and make his suffering that much less. But he's not prepared for the allure of being in control of Bucky, nor of being able to make him orgasm with a command. My notes: A fantastic WIP that I will forever hold out hope may continue someday. But if not, just imagining where this goes does so much for me.
tear me to pieces, skin to bone (hello, welcome home)
by voxofthevoid Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers Summary: This isn’t his Steve. This isn’t Captain America, and this sure as fuck isn’t the little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb not to run away from a fight. This isn’t the Winter Soldier either, Hydra’s mindless machine. Whatever came out of all that, of the man who was all of those at some point in his life—Bucky’s not sure if it’s someone he wants to know. But it’s Steve.  Steve reaches out, one bear paw of a hand reaching for Bucky’s face. Bucky grits his teeth and forces himself not to flinch. He’s expecting another blow, maybe fingers pushing into his mouth, but what he gets is a finger tracing the cleft in his chin—the spot his Steve used to love to kiss. Bucky shivers at the gentle touch, caught off guard and floundering. He’s only more unsettled when Steve’s hand settles on his cheek, big enough to cradle the entire side of Bucky’s face.“Pretty boy,” Steve murmurs. “Should I keep you?” - Captain America is sent to hunt down a ghost. My notes: HTP-adjacent, role-reversal
A History of Birds
by OddityBoddity Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers Summary: "You look like him," Bucky says. No prompting, no nothing. He just speaks, like this is a thing he does. "What?" Steve asks. He didn’t really hear it, too stunned by the fact that words were coming out of Bucky’s mouth to understand their meaning. "You look like him. So did Pierce." His voice is soft, gravelly from disuse. "Is that why they picked you?" Steve’s heart plunges like an elevator with the cables cut. “Buck, it is me.” The hard line of Bucky’s mouth softens just a little. “Sure,” he says.
End of the Line
by OddityBoddity Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Alexander Pierce Summary: Alexander Pierce is an absolute horror of a human being and this is a troubling fic.
Home To Me (what makes it right is an unknown thing)
by Ravening for Violencio Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Helmut Zemo, Heike Zemo/Helmut Zemo, James "Bucky" Barnes/Heike Zemo/Helmut Zemo, James "Bucky" Barnes/Heinrich Zemo (minor), Helmut Zemo/Original Male Character (minor) Summary: Helmut Zemo grows up with the Winter Soldier by his side.
Tata brought the Winter Soldier home for the first time when Helmut was five years old. They had hounds on the estate, of course. Tata kept several breeds of hunting dogs in the kennel; had taken Helmut with him a handful of times to course hare in the spring and shoot pheasant in autumn. He’d let Helmut chase after the dogs as they’d crunched through the underbrush and trotted back with their prey, limp and bloodied, dutifully clasped in their jaws. Helmut was familiar with his tata’s pets, but none were as obedient as the Winter Soldier.
cover me in sweet gasoline
by ghostlygun Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers, James "Bucky" Barnes/Hydra Agents Summary: It’s just Steve. You can hear him setting down the shield by the coat rack. It looks different now; they’ve repainted it in black and red, just like his uniform. He’s no longer Captain America. All of this feels wrong, and sometimes you can’t even stand his touch, but then he smiles at you, a warm, soft smile, and all your doubts melt away.
What'd I Miss?
by SkadiLaughedFirst, Wish_I_Had_A_Tail Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes & Brock Rumlow, James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers, Steve Rogers & Brock Rumlow, Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson, James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson, Jack Rollins & Brock Rumlow, Clint Barton & Natasha Romanov Summary: Rumlow's on his way back from a mission. He's tired and pissed off, and the whole thing was a pain in the ass, especially 'cause it meant he had to be out of the country while Insight was going down. He hopes everything went okay. Guess he'll find out once he turns his phone back on.
Attention to Detail
by Buckminsterfullerene (AnonymousLeek) Relationships: Jack Rollins/Brock Rumlow, Steve Rogers/Brock Rumlow Summary: Jack overhears Brock getting hurt. After the attacker leaves, he offers comfort to his wayward commander. Whether Brock considers it comfort is another matter entirely.
to catch a fallen star
by Spintwin for mikazure Relationships: Steve Rogers/Brock Rumlow Summary: In an alternate Captain America: The Winter Soldier timeline, where Captain America has been working for Hydra since 1945, the Lemurian Star mission sees Black Widow stealing Hydra software, revealing that Nick Fury knows that Hydra is working within SHIELD. Naturally, someone has to pay for this mistake, and that someone is Brock Rumlow.
Lamb and Martyr
by Dira Sudis (dsudis) Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers Summary: "You could, though," Steve said. "If you were willing to hurt me."
Daybreak
by throttlegainwel Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers Summary: Hydra uses the Winter Soldier to keep their captives in line by brutal means. One visit is usually enough to instill obedience. But this latest prisoner, Rogers, seems to have caught their interest in a big way.
Mindbeast
by Defiler_Wyrm for Lies_Unfurl Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers, James "Bucky" Barnes/Other(s) Summary: Hydra has captured something remarkable, and they must take remarkable measures to win its compliance: it’s breeding season for the monster, and they offer up the Winter Soldier to be its mate. The beast and the Soldier meet again, and again, and again.
