And that's how you go, Skull. Not stabbing into the heart of your great and powerful enemy. But a sick, tired, pitiful old man. Breathing your last on the floor in the arms of the only man who can be driven to give a single shit about you.

I think it's a stupid decision to completely forget Kang and replace him with Doctor Doom
Doom is a major threat yes but imo he is a significantly lesser threat compared to Thanos and Kang
Why couldn't they just recast Kang? They did it with Bruce, they did it with Rhodey, they did it with Red Skull hell they recasted Cassie in Quantumania
So why not recast Kang? There's plenty of black male actors who can play him far better than JM did like Denzel Washington
Do you know how awesome it would've been to see Denzel as Kang?
They could've recasted Kang it's not a situation like Chadwick Bozeman and Black Panther but it's obvious that even that doesn't really matter because William Hurt has been dead for two years and they replaced him with Harrison Ford
Now you're probably thinking "Well, wouldn't it be weird if Kang suddenly looked different from the last time we saw him?" Not really nobody questioned how Bruce changed between The Incredible Hulk to The Avengers or how Rhodey changed between Iron Man 1 to Iron Man 2 or how Cassie changed between Endgame to Quantumania and nobody is gonna question how Ross changed from Civil War to Brave New World
Not to mention by retconning Kang they basically made Loki and Quantumania redundant
Literally if Quantumania and Loki were there to set up Kang as the next big bad and now they're not even using Kang anymore then Quantumania and Loki were just a waste of everyone's time

Bold innocent fury kid ☆^~
GN!FURY KID!READER x STEVE ROGERS X NATASHA ROMANOFF X JOHANN SCHMIDT, AKA THE RED SKULL(all platonic)
Location: Avengers Tower, Interrogation Room
Steve Rogers, your Uncle Steve, was pacing back and forth in front of you, his serious face making you feel like you were about to hear some very important grown-up stuff. Across the room sat Johann Schmidt, the notorious Red Skull, tied up and glaring. You, though, weren’t really paying attention to his angry glares—you were too busy fiddling with the tiny Captain America shield keychain Steve had given you earlier.
“Alright, kiddo,” Steve began, leaning down to your level and putting a hand on your shoulder. “Today, we’re going to talk about Hydra.”
You blinked up at him, eyes wide with curiosity. “What’s a Hydra?”
Steve rubbed the back of his neck. “Hydra’s a bad group. Really bad. They tried to take over the world, hurt a lot of people… and they even—well, look, this guy—” he pointed dramatically at Schmidt, “—he’s one of their leaders. He did terrible things.”
You turned your head toward Johann Schmidt, who was mumbling under his breath, clearly irritated. His red face looked more annoyed than scary to you.
Steve cleared his throat, trying to stay focused. “They experimented on people, tried to control everything, and—”
“Did they steal candy?” you asked, suddenly concerned. Candy theft was about as bad as it got in your world.
Steve blinked. “Uh… no. Worse than that. They—”
“Are they allergic to hugs?” you asked innocently, still eyeing Johann, who was grumbling louder now.
Steve paused, taken aback. “No, I don’t think so… but—”
Before Steve could finish, Eva appeared, bouncing into the room with her long blonde curls and mischievous smile. She grinned when she saw you, then turned to Johann Schmidt, who was now full-on glaring at all the innocent happening around him.
“Hey, Cap!” Eva greeted Steve with a mock salute, then turned to Johann. “Who’s the grumpy guy?”
Steve sighed. “This is Johann Schmidt. Red Skull. Hydra leader—”
Eva ignored the intimidating introduction and walked right up to Johann with a twinkle in her eye. “Do you need a hug?” she asked brightly.
Johann’s eyes widened in horror. “Nein!” he grumbled, his German accent heavy with frustration. “Ich will keinen—” But before he could finish, you were already beside Eva, both of you grinning at him like he was the best thing since chocolate cake.
“Hugs make everything better,” you chirped, while Eva nodded in agreement.
Without waiting for permission, you and Eva lunged forward and hugged Johann tightly. He flinched but couldn’t escape, tied down as he was. His frustration only grew as he mumbled angrily under his breath, but to you and Eva, he was just like a big, grumpy teddy bear.
Steve, meanwhile, was trying—and failing—to keep a straight face as he watched the two of you hugging one of the most dangerous villains in history.
“I… I’m not sure this is what I had in mind for your Hydra lesson,” Steve muttered, scratching his head.
Johann, looking completely defeated, stopped struggling. “This is torture!” he groaned dramatically, but you just giggled.
“Uncle Steve,” you called over your shoulder, “I think he just needs more hugs.”
Steve sighed but smiled. “You know, maybe Hydra would’ve been less evil if they’d had you two around…”
Og:Bye!! Have a great day/afternoon/night!! ^^
Eva winked at Steve. “Told you, Cap. Hugs fix everything.”
And so, while Johann Schmidt muttered angrily in German, tied to a chair, and Steve Rogers tried to figure out how to explain anything about Hydra with you and Eva around, the room filled with innocent giggles, making even the most serious lesson in history utterly adorable.
Og:bye! Have a great day/afternoon/night!! ^^

Captain America #263 (DeMatteis/Zeck, Nov 1981). Marvel has such a peculiar relationship with movie studios. They were trying to get features of their characters produced for decades before Blade, and yet their comics repeatedly depict the studios as dangerous traps commandeered by villains.

Yes, I'm sure today (September 10th, 1966) will be the last anyone sees of Red Skull or the Cosmic Cube.
