day 1 of mina's (metronomic) chemo was good. i got her nails fully dremeled this evening before she gets feeling too icky for me to wanna annoy her for an hour. 🌬✨️

Her name is Coco

This weekend we spontaneously decided to get a dog to help me with my depression and isolation and need for companionship as a late diagnosed autistic adult and she also has a good affect on my husband's happiness.

I have never seen him so full of joy when we are playing with this beautiful baby!!

She is a heeler mix and super trainable, so I am going to work on training her for when I have meltdowns and also do some scent training to get her to tell me when my sugar drops too low!

Any training tips welcome!

Benton is finally beginning to understand that neither of the girls likes it when they're wrestling and he tackles one of them over and over (usually 11yo Tribble, who is slightly more than half his weight). I have slowly begun to convince him that it's a much better idea to come show me his fish when he's overwhelmed with excitement because the girls are wrestling and he's not included, because I'll admire it and tell him he's a good boy and maybe tug on it with him, whereas tackling Tribble generally gets her to yell at him.

Benton is extremely proud of his fish. It has TWO squeakies in it! TWO!
