Both Leo and Donnie were just... not feeling great.

Both didn't get very much sleep the night before, and also, oh wow, depression is still a thing.

Thankfully, just before they both had a literal mental breakdown, Y/n showed up! 

Obviously, with the disaster twins being damn SIMPS, they both wanted a hug from Y/n to feel better. They wouldn't mind giving them both one, and it's from one of their favorite people! Sounds like a great formula for feeling better!

The problem was, however, that the disaster twins, being simps, are both not very good at asking Y/n for a hug. I mean, what are they supposed to say? Just go up and ask for a hug? Okay, that would work, but that's embarrassing! No one just does that...especially with your crush.

So, that is how this absolute chaos started.

Leo and Donnie decided that it would be a great idea to see who could hint at wanting a hug the best until Y/n actually understood what they wanted and gave one to them. 

Add on the fact that they're both literally holding themselves together with zip ties and duck tape so they don't have a mental breakdown before Y/n can even see them, and you get a totally friendly and nice brother competition! Nothing to possibly go wrong!

As of right now, Leo and Donnie are both sitting on opposite sides of Y/n as Y/n plays a video game and Leo and Donnie both just watch.

Donnie is shaking slightly as he tries to contain his anxiousness, and Leo fiddles with his fingers, which is something that he does only when he's trying really hard to hold his "face man" persona.

Leo and Donnie had been subtly hinting at wanting a hug from Y/n, saying things like "Oh man, I feel cold." Or, "Dang! That was awesome! I should hug you or something, ha!" but sadly, Y/n didn't catch on with any of them, much to Leo and Donnie's annoyance.

Eventually, Leo was getting so desperate for a hug (and he felt even WORSE mentally as time went on), so he just straight up went for it. Y/n just beat a really hard mission in the game they were playing, so Leo simply says, "Do you want a hug for that?" 

Y/n looks at him with a strange look, while Donnie looks at him from the other side of Y/n with a look that both looked like, "I'm going to kill you," and like Donnie was even more on the verge of a breakdown because he wanted to be the first one to get a hug from Y/n. "Uhh...Leo, you feeling alright, bud?" Leo starts to sweat nervously, and he can hear his heart pumping in his chest. "Uhh...haha! Gotcha! I...uhh...was just kidding! Mhm! Just a joke!"

Ahhh!! What is he doing??? Both in the fact of why is he just going for it like this, and WHY IS HE GOING BACK ON IT LAST SECOND???

Y/n squints their eyes at Leo, and Leo can tell that they're trying to tell if he's really telling the truth. However, Leo's face thought that that would be the absolute perfect time to betray him, by making tears of both embarrassment and sadness well up slightly in his eyes. Y/n notices it almost immediately.

"Hey! Are you crying? What's wrong??" Leo notices all too late what was happening and wipes his eyes, which honestly just makes the fact that there were tears in his eyes way more obvious. "No, no! I'm fine Y/n! Its just, uhh...really dusty in here! Yeah!" Y/n doesn't believe it for a second, but before Y/n can protest, Donnie scoops them up from behind in an awkward hug. "Ah- Donnie?" Leo's face grows hot at seeing Donnie hug Y/n before him, because Leo was the one about to get a hug! What the heck! "Hey! Donnieeeee! I was about to hug them!" "One, you were just about to tap out, and two, even if you weren't, you were taking WAYYYY too long! I want Y/n hugs too, you know!" 

Y/n laughs from their spot in Donnie's arms, and the noise makes both Donnie's and Leo's hearts skip a beat. "Wait, wait. Both of you slow down. You both want a hug from me??" Donnie and Leo blush as Leo struggles to form a sentence. Donnie just gives up making a sentence right then and there. Nope. He was NOT doing that.

"Uhh...w-well, you see...we...uhh...kinda felt a bit sad today, s-so...uhh...we just wanted to get a hug from you t-to make us feel better??" Y/n laughs again and shimmies out of Donnie's hold. Donnie lets out a distressed chirp at his hold on Y/n being stolen from him. "Alright. Both of you, bring it in." 

Y/n holds their arms out, and Leo and Donnie practically crash into Y/n, partially making Y/n not be able to breathe. "Ow- guys! A bit less tight?? Please????" Leo and Donnie look at each other sheepishly and make their hold on Y/n less tight. Y/n breathes out with the new air they got into their lungs and pulls the boys closer. "Hey! I thought you just told us to not hug you too tight!" "Yeah, but it's alright when I'M the one hugging YOU too tight." 

Leo and Donnie both laugh at that, and suddenly, they feel a lot better than they did before.

They knew that a hug from Y/n would make them feel better.

Celina, I had the most random thought about a yandere rottmnt isekai au.

I was rewatching some rottmnt earlier and I noticed how I barely commented on anything, aside from a smile and a small chuckle here and there. It got me thinking…

What if m/c was like that? What if m/c never really commented at all aside from a few chuckles and small comments sprinkled throughout an episode? Maybe they are a bit of an introvert too? How would yandere rottmnt turtles react to this?

I think they would go insane trying to find any information at all about m/c, and at first it isn’t even because of their yandere-ness! They just want to know who the heck is watching them!

I think that they may try to do things to make m/c speak, but they wouldn’t outright reveal themselves as able to hear m/c (let’s be real here, if you found out an entity beyond your realm was watching you, would you instantly let them know you are aware of them or would you at least try to make sure they are safe first?).

Soon, m/c’s voice becomes… addicting. The boys constantly crave m/c’s voice and comments, doing anything to know more about them and just hear them again! This is amped up if m/c gives them small compliments here and there… especially with Donnie and Leo… (The turtles would probably develop the belief that the only reason they can hear m/c and no one else from m/c’s realm is because m/c belongs in their realm…)

Then they try to break into m/c’s realm…

Donnie would most likely be able to connect with the tech first with his nimpo, then he would hack into any device near m/c. Cameras, laptops, phones, everything! It isn’t long before the turtles learn more about m/c than they would’ve ever known beforehand, maybe even more than m/c themself…

It isn’t long before Donnie hacks into m/c’s phone and establishes a connection between the turtles and m/c’s devices…

Poor m/c would have no idea who these random people who sound-er, text?- a lot like their favorite characters from ROTTMNT. I doubt the turtles would give themselves away immediately, they would most likely bide their time and gain more information on m/c (This could also be translated into your sentient AI thing you have going on).

They would only reveal themselves in person, once the portal is ready and they can take what rightfully belongs in their world. M/c wouldn’t have the chance to run before they are dragged away, kicking, screaming, and crying, out of their own reality…

“Why are you fighting us, dear? Don’t you love us? Our reality is- No, stop fighting us- our reality is much better than this bitter and cold world, you won’t have to worry about anything ever again!”

(Bonus if Donnie hacks into m/c’s friends and families phones so Dr. Delicate Touch can have a few words with them…)

Someone send help I cried because of an angst story but now I'm dehydrated but I'm too scared to go get liquid bcs I'm pretty sure someone is on the couch and I'm far too paranoid for that shit-

Tw: Raph gets a little- too dependent on MC speaking, Mikey glorifies his position, mentions of manipulation + anxiety

First of all, delicious idea you got here- as always I'll just add a little tidbit.

Imagine occasionally they accidentally whisper or mumble when they hear you speak in the rare moments that you do. Like with me, I either talk to myself about somewhat off-topic things or just say the most basic compliments that are more or less for my self-indulgence in expressing my true feelings. (We'll go with compliment bcs that makes more sense in terms of yan development)

"Donnie is so skrunkly when he's feral I love it-"

*Donnie who was just having a typical "who's better" debate with Leo* "Oh won't you look at that...I'm loved even in times of undomesticated behaviours~" *he's very smug, and definitely is bouncing with joy internally*

I think for the most part Donnie, Leo, and Raph react pretty similarly. They kinda just have an odd pull to the weird ass voice they occasionally hear sometimes, wanting to find out more about it. So they can cling to it as emotional support.

But Mikey?

He is legit going to think he's some prophet of this mysterious voice which he believes is a superior being. Like even the smallest comment will literally make him whisper to himself- "Oh my divinity, I am a follower of your every word.." Wouldn't be surprised if he has heart eyes istg-

But if his bros say they can hear it too, he will literally be so pissed. He'll accuse they're lying and basically manipulating him into thinking he's not special. I wouldn't be surprised if he busts out Dr. Delicate Touch to start accusing them of any crime that fits with the situation. And in the end, he'll always conclude with "I'm the only one who gets to be the chosen one of my divinity~ so stop lying alright?"

Also there's one thing I want to point out with Raph, I feel he would get attached to the voice so bad over time that he either A. cannot make any rational decisions without it or B. he gets super anxious if he doesn't hear it in his head 24/7. I feel he would nickname it like, "my secret voice" or "my mind plushie".

Leo and Donnie definitely fight the most about the voice, but they also plan together the most when it comes to finding out more about the owner of the voice. But their intentions with each other are never mentioned.

(this was such a half-assed rant but surely it should be a little insight on my thoughts).

I feel like Donnie would be the first to notice, and at first he wouldn’t really care all that much

In fact I think he’d respect that, if one needs notes about something then one needs notes

Pretty cocky about it too, why wouldn’t one want to know about the glorious and most intelligent turtle Othello Von Ryan?

But at the same time he also is quite suspicious of you and makes sure to keep an eye out in case you try and tell anyone of the turtle brothers existence

Honestly takes too long debating whether or not to tell his brothers

One day they all spot you taking your notes, Donnie knew a little bit about it since he has his high grade tech (he has his goggles after all, he probably knows your writing down something)

Let’s say they tried to confront you, wondering why and how the heck you managed to get on the top of one of the buildings and if you were in any danger

Yeah let’s just say you got scared and fled the scene leaving your notes behind

Donnie was the one that took it, claiming he can read any hand writing and wanted to make sure it didn’t have any personal information that could be used against them

I’m reality, he was quite curious to see what you were writing down

Turns out, you were doodling the turtles and yourself all in a picture with the classic ✨sun in the corner✨ and at the top said “friends” but he could see that it was erased and rewritten a few different times, as if you were hesitating to write it

He flipped through the pages and were impressed with how much notes you got that were accurate considering the fact you've been watching from a distance

While one would find it creepy, he can’t really hold it against you, children have people they admire and look up to and it just so happens that he and his brothers are the ones you look up to

Definitely tried to return the notebook, successfully spotting you in your usual spot, searching for your beloved notes

He talks to you, asking about you and how he’s intrigued by your notes (he's very impressed but would never admit that out loud)

He asks if you would like to meet his brothers and maybe ask about some stuff to help your notes so that he can make sure you "have the right information"

He's still his cocky self, but I think he'd understand where your coming from

We don't don't about his obsession with atomic lass-

SO. FUCKING. COCKY.

When he saw you taking notes from a distance every time that he and his brothers went out to do patrolling, he'd notice you being around the first few times or so, assuming you lived around that area

But then he noticed that you always seemed to be wherever they were

At one point, it hit his skull that you were following them

Only difference is that if he somehow found out before Donnie (highly unlikely btw) he'd point it out almost immediately

He would just kinda be like, "is it just me, or does this kid seem to following us?"

The others would notice too and agree to try and see if you were following them

Upon being confronted you tried to explain something but we're too nervous and ran off, leaving your notebook behind

Donnie was about to snatch it when he did, claiming he was going to read it first before Donnie hogged it to himself

He flipped through the pages and saw the drawing you did

Honestly thought it was creepy at first but then realized that you just wanted to be friends and looked up to them

Leo is the greatest ninja the world has ever seen, so it would make sense why you would want to be friends with him and his sidekicks brothers IM SORRY I HAD TO QUOTE THE MOVIE AND I PROBABLY SHOULDN'T HAVE BUT I COULDN'T HELP IT-

I feel like at some point he'd confront you it would be the day after he found the notebook you left behind and he would give it back and ask you about what kind of hobbies you do and what inspired you to watch him and his brothers

I think that he would eventually start talking to you often and eventually invite you to the lair sometimes. You would basically be a really close to of his

I think overall he'd be very smug and cocky about it but would deep down be honored that you would choose them to be the ones you look up to

Raph

Raph would probably be one of the ones that doesn't notice this until someone else points it out. I also think he could also be the one to see it first. It just depends

Raph would be so honored that you looked up to them, he'd notice you following them and would go out of his way to offer you a smile before they'd go back to the lair

One day you leave your notebook alone after an encounter and he notices you dropped it

He wouldn't go through it surprisingly

One of his brothers would get to it first and would go through it, meaning he'd had to try and get them to stop invading privacy

Once he gets a glance, however, he feels so touched at the drawing you did and the detailed notes you've written down

He may not be the best at understanding complicated notes, but he knew how much thought and accuracy went into writing them down

Raph would try his best to return the notebook to you the next time they went out to fight bad guys

When he does return it, he places his hand on your head and ruffles your hair (if you don't have very long hair [shaved or buzzed] or if you have no hair at all, he'd give you a head pat)

He'd encourage you to ask them anything if you had questions, but would lightly scold you about being out and about at night by yourself

As long as you were safe about it, you may have just found yourself a new friend AND a kind of parental figure

Mikey

LOVES. YOU. SO. MUCH. (Platonically, of course)

He wouldn't notice at all, it was definitely pointed out by one of his brothers

He'd be a little worries about you being alone in New York by yourself given how you look to be around 12 or so

He'd confront you after a few different times they'd notice you, advising you to not be out so late

You didn't listen like the little shit you are

Eventually, they all had noticed and tried to confront you about it since they were rather curious

The pressure of talking to the turtles you looked up to had to a little nervous and you took off before they could talk to you

You did, however leave your notebook behind

Mikey looked through the different notes and flipped until he saw the drawing

He thought it was the cutest thing ever! He loved drawing and art related things himself, so he was really excited to see that you liked to draw as well!

When he finally saw you again, he handed you the notebook and offered to lend you some art materials or to sometime draw with him

It would take time to get him to invite you to the lair, but it would eventually become a very frequent thing

Very flattered but also very excited about the drawing

Sorry that this was finished so late :( life has been annoying as hell and making me not have motivation or the time to write as much as i used to. Nonetheless, I am very slowly getting back into the swing of things. Hope you have an amazing rest of your day/night and remember to drink your water <3

Baby's First Halloween

Mikey forces Draxum joining him and his family for trick and treating.

Don't judge the title, I am either very good with them or terrible with them TwT Sorry this is shorter than I planned, but I hope you still like it!!!! I saw that your fics featured Draxum a lot so I tried writing something that is both Halloween themed and from his pov, I hope he is in character and you enjoy it :> Also on AO3 <33

 Baron Draxum had yet to understand humans. Yet to like them. But he had thought he had an idea of them (other than the fact they all were annoying). Spending months among them had given him a new chance to observe them better. At some aspects they were just like he expected them to be. In other aspects though, they proved to be more interesting than he thought they were. That wouldn’t happen often, but still was worth mentioning.

 Nowadays he didn’t have a problem living among them, he had gotten used to them, and to their behavior. He knew the basics; he knew what to expect from their society.

 Then Michelangelo showed up at his door with a costume in his hands and Draxum once again was lost.

 “What the heck is a Halloween?” Draxum stared at the mutant.

 “You don’t know Halloween!?” Mikey exclaimed. “It is okay, I can teach you everything!”

 “I am not interested.” Draxum replied.

 “Too late!” Mikey grinned as he walked in. Draxum knew he had no way to escape from the boy. He let Mikey get in with the costume he held. “So, Barry, Halloween is a human holiday- one of the best even- which I’m sure you’ll love!”

 “I doubt that.” Draxum had learned about some. They were nothing like yokai holidays, and they made no sense at all. He was sure this would be no different.

 Mikey sat on to the couch and placed the costume by his side. “Halloween happens during the night of 31st of October, and people celebrate it by trick and treating, watching horror movies, putting scary decorations everywhere…”

 “Is that why I have been seeing bat and pumpkin replicas everywhere?” He asked rhetorically, interrupting the teen.

 Mikey grinned, “Yep! People like to decorate and get into the Halloween spirit early! That’s what October’s about baby!”

 Draxum gestured to the costume in front of him, “What’s with the costume?”

 “Oh! I made it for you!” Mikey beamed. “The most important thing of Halloween is how you look. You gotta wear a costume if you are celebrating it. And you’ll terrific!”

 He reached and held the costume in his hands. “You dress up ridiculously?” Draxum questioned, inspecting the costume with more detail now.

 “Sometimes some people do, but majorly it is about looking scary.” Mikey explained.

 Draxum eyed the costume again. He couldn’t see how these clothes were supposed to be scary. He didn’t mention that though.

 “I mean, you don’t exactly have to wear a costume since this whole situation”- Mikey gestured to Draxum like whenever his family said that phase- “but, traditions are always better!”

 Draxum suddenly realized what Mikey meant, “So that’s the thing all the yokai got excited about every October.”

 “Huh?” Mikey blinked at him with confusion.

 “Every year yokai get excited about going to surface and walking among humans freely for a night.” Draxum explained. “I never understood the excitement for a thing like that, and so I didn’t find it worth to check and lose the time I could prepare my plans.”

 Mikey hummed, “Humans somehow can’t tell the difference between mutants and costumes most of the time, which is much better for us!”

 “As I had said before several times, they aren’t smart.” Draxum commented.

 “Don’t be rude, Barry!” He got up, “After all we’ll have some fun among them soon.”

 Draxum looked at Mikey, and then at the costume. “I’d rather to pass the offer.”

 Mikey shook his head, “No! Way!” He exclaimed. “You are joining us this Halloween!”

 “You?” Draxum didn’t like how it sounded.

 “Yep! Since you have never enjoyed this amazing holiday, why not join us?” Mikey said, hugging Draxum’s arm.

 The mutant raised a brow, “I am not sure if your family would like that idea.”

 “They won’t mind.” The boy chirped happily. Draxum wasn’t convinced but he didn’t try to fight against him.

 And so Draxum was once again had found himself in a situation he never expected to be in, thanks to Michelangelo. He had no idea why, but the boy always found a way to make him join his ideas or do what he asked for. Maybe it was because of how it was almost impossible to escape Mikey’s persistence. (It was definitely not because he cared for the boys he had created. Not at all.)

 He looked at the costume again and sighed, he was gonna hate it.

 He hated it.

 Mikey had made him some sort of red imp like costume. Draxum had no idea how the boy had managed to get him wear it (maybe it was the fact behind his niceness he hid the scariest person known to a yokai). When the rest of boys and April had seen him, they burst into laughing. By the way they joked, he suspected that him they were very excited to see him like that for a long time. Leo made so many terrible jokes and teased him the whole time, more than others. So much that Draxum was sure even the others were tired of his puns. He also knew that Donnie and April had taken many pictures of him. All Draxum was glad nobody that knew his glorious days (other than the Hamatos) saw him like that.

 Eventually they moved to trick or treating part. He still didn’t understand any of this. A part of him wished people would let them do their trick, so he could show what powers he got and scare all of them. (He was sure that was the meaning of trick.) Just like the old days. Shame it wasn’t “safe or legal”. Humans seemed to be afraid of him even in this ridiculous costume, so that was somewhat better.

 As the night kept going on, Draxum noticed the many yokai walking among the streets. Some having fun, drinking and enjoying the night in a different way, some spending time by trying out or checking out normal human things and technologies. They all seemed very happy. Both humans and yokai… odd. Then he looked back at the boys. They seemed very happy too. Even Leonardo was not caring that Draxum tagged along (by Mikey’s force). It was different than any other night. One night free for all to walk among each other peacefully.

 Maybe Halloween wasn’t that bad.

 After a time, they finally returned to the lair, where Splinter laughed so much that he ended having cramps and a coughing fit. Draxum had retorted pointing out how stupid his costume looked, but Splinter paid no mind telling him how amazing it looked on him and that Draxum had no taste at all. Draxum disagreed, not understanding at all how the stupid fake teeth and cape looked amazing on him.

 Then as the teens examined the candies they collected (which was surprisingly a lot); Splinter began searching for something. He victoriously announced, “I found it!”

 “What is it, rat?” Draxum asked, more to kill time than being curious.

 “Lou Jitsu’s special edition horror movie marathons.” Splinter explained proudly.

 Draxum looked at the small box Splinter held. “I thought you were an action movie star?”

 Splinter stared at him, “You are so uncultured…. Thankfully tonight you will see some real good stuff.”

 Draxum rolled his eyes, “How even your movies considered good?”

 Draxum wouldn’t admit, but they were good. Not only Splinter’s old horror movies which were more of a comedy in Draxum’s opinion, but the other movies too. The most recent ones were mostly accurate about gore details too. When Draxum mentioned that it, Donnie gladly agreed pointing out some inaccuracies. As the two agreed, the rest of them were trying shushing them so they could watch the rest of the movie properly. Draxum heard how Leonardo whined, “There are two of them now”. Draxum ignored that comment, only thinking about how it meant that Donnie was good at catching details and had knowledge over that. Even though some parts made him uncomfortable, the boy had knowledge.

 At some point Raph fell asleep. Mikey, who was hiding under a blanket next to him trembled. Leo kept his hand on the blanket, watching the movie playing with candy bag in his lap. Donnie sat on the ground with his own candy bag, occasionally commending about the movie and whispering to April, who sat next to him some things about the movie. Splinter eventually fell asleep as well.

 Draxum found it interesting. How they didn’t mind him around. How this wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be (minus the costume). How it was tolerable to watch the teens joke around, scaring each other at times under the projector’s light.

 Hours passed, as the movie marathon continued one by one, they fell asleep. Draxum could stay awake longer if he wanted, but he let himself rest as well, as the rest of them slept deeply.

 At some point he heard someone getting on his feet, he felt a blanket on himself. Once he looked, he saw Splinter with another blanket, heading towards Leonardo. He had brought blankets and pillows for them all. Draxum didn’t understand why he would do that. (At least why would he bring him one. That didn’t make any sense.)

 Then Splinter saw him, “Go back sleeping before you wake them up Draxum,” he whispered. “It is three in the morning.”

 Draxum was going to say something, but he found himself not responding. Splinter was right, he could wake them up. So, he decided to not to say a word, and do as he told him to do. Meanwhile, Splinter went back to his spot, with a blanket and a pillow going back to sleep as well.

 As he fell asleep, Draxum thought. Maybe this was why it wasn’t that bad. Because even though he was forced to join them, they still included him. Because they showed him what Halloween was. And while Draxum would never say that to them, maybe it was great to spend time with this family, more than he ever thought it would be. After everything, perhaps this was a nice change…

Since the first encounter at Hueso's pizza joint, Leo had come to pester you dozens of times if you happened to be there together. Then there was the fact you had both exchanged phone numbers, and the way that had made your heart beat so fast that while you were heading home you thought you were having a heart attack...

All in all you had had a crazy two weeks of seeing him just about every other day. Everything was going great though. You felt happier than you had in a long time and it showed. Even Leo had taken notice...

"So, you smile more now."

"What?" You cast your gaze over to your table guest and furrowed your brow.

Leo rolled his eyes, toying with one of his odachi as he continued to speak- god... you were almost worried he was going to cut himself on that thing if he wasn't careful. "So when I first noticed you watching me all the time you always looked so serious. I thought you just had a bad day, but then every time I noticed you, I realized that was the normal expression." He shrugged, sheathing the sword and settling back against his chair. "Lately, however, you've actually been smiling- a lot. Why might that be?" He inquired with a teasing lilt, giving you his classic bemused grin.

You could tell what he was implying, and that he solely meant it as a joke, so you simply knitted your fingers together, leaning over the table slightly and eyeing him. "Yeah, I think maybe my tragic disease of resting bitch face is finally clearing up." You offered, keeping a serious tone until he burst out laughing, and then you couldn't help but smile.

The slider leaned closer to you. "Awh, are you sure it isn't to do with my wonderful presence?" He cooed, batting his eyes at you in a playfully flirting manner. Leo slowly began to reach forward, being as slow as possible to not draw attention to his attempt at working your sketchbook from where it sat on the tabletop.

You didn't notice at first, not until he got a little too close to you and you got flustered, glancing down to avert your gaze and then tugging your book away, instantly narrowing your eyes and glancing up at him again after you settled the object underneath your legs where he couldn't get to it unless he was REALLY desperate.

Too close. Oh my god he was practically an inch from your face.

The moment he had realized that you had caught on he lightly slammed his hands on the table and then slumped into his chair, tipping it onto the back legs before bringing his legs up onto the table and crossing them. "Didn't think you'd catch on that fast."

You nodded and let out a quiet "mm-hmm" as you absently took careful and gentle hold of your right ear, bringing it down next to your face and just rubbing the soft fur. "Then you underestimate me, blue boy." You chuckled wryly, leaning to rest your head in your hands, watching him with intrigue.

Pouting ever so slightly, Leo watched you a moment longer, and then much to his chagrin, he had his legs knocked off of the table by Hueso who simply gave him a long look.

"Feet off the table pepino." His voice was relatively kind, as usual, but there was a mild exasperation to it.

Leo's face grew hot as he glanced up at the skeleton. "I- uh- sorry-" he offered a small and nervous chuckle, fidgeting with his hands and going a bit quiet.

Hueso shook his head and sighed, patting Leo on the head. "Just don't let me catch you doing it again." He offered, heading off to take care of some new customers.

Letting out a long, low whistle, you eye Leo up with quiet amusement. "I don't think I've seen you go quiet like this in all the time I've known you." You teased, lightly brushing your foot against his ankle in a soft nudging gesture.

He jumped slightly at the touch but almost immediately returned it. "Yeah, yeah. You've never seen me get quiet, I've never seen inside that book of yours. I think we're even-" instantly pausing to lightly tap his chin, Leo offered a thoughtful hum. "Actually, wait. We aren't. You've seen me be quiet now which means..." he trailed off, waiting for you to catch on.

"Nope. That's not how this works, Leo." You reached forward and patted him on the cheek before looking over to your right for a moment, thinking to yourself.

Honestly you felt so amazed and lucky with the fact that you two had grown so comfortable with each other already. It was nice... different than what you were used to. Granted, what you were used to was hours of trying to force yourself to get along with people who didn’t actually want anything to do with you. You had dealt with many fake friends, but with Leo it was different. Things came naturally between you both.

Seeming as if he had rad your thoughts- or something, Leo offered you a sympathetic look and took one of your hands. , smoothing his thumb over the soft fur.  "Did I lose you there for a second?" He inquired. You hadn't even noticed you were frowning until he had said that.

Blinking away the glazed look in your eyes, you quickly focused on him. "No, no. I'm here. I'm good. I just got stuck in some thoughts." You waved your hand at him in a silent way of saying "don't worry".

He instantly rose a brow and pulled his hands away, the warmth immediately being missed. "Riiiight. Well how about you show me what's in the book as a nice distraction?"

"Not a chance." You pursed your lips and shook your head, tapping your fingers on the hard wood tabletop.

"I'll see inside it some day."

That had you laughing. He was so insistent, and that seemed to be his favourite way of letting you know he still had hope for the answer to change.

Before either of you could say anything, his phone buzzing brought you out of the whole situation and he frowned instantly, quickly apologizing before taking his phone out and reading through the texts, quickly replying.

After that it only took few seconds for him to stand and offer you a slightly sad expression. "So..."

"You have to go?"

He nodded, not bothered that you had cut him off. "Yeah... my brother's said its important-"

"That's okay. We will see each other again." You said it like a promise and he couldn't help but smile in response, opening his mouth to respond when his phone buzzed again.

He checked it and then lolled his head back, a frustrated huff leaving him and then he was just gone, leaving you at the table alone... like always.

- def a soccer kinda guy.

- once he found out that you play soccer, he was going to every single practice/game whether you liked it or not.

- soccer is a dangerous sport (meaning you get hurt a lot) so if you get hurt then he’d be the first person on the field and by your side, even if it makes you foul.

- your whole team loves him bc he always brings snacks and drinks for them.

- he is lowkey a second coach, teaching you guys cool tricks.

- loves to practice with you guys (being the goalie).

- he would act all cool and chill but then as soon as you get a point he jumps up and cheers for you.

- he would get embarrassed and slowly sit back down, side eyeing everybody in the room.

- if you got hurt then he would rush to your aid and deal with it himself, not letting anybody else near you.

- he is also not afraid to yell at the refs, he knows what is allowed and isn’t so if a ref fouls something that isn’t actually a foul then he would be on their case so fast.

- your team barely sees him so they’d probably just not even acknowledge him.

- baseball, period.

- he would be at every game and practice- heck he’d even go if you couldn’t.

- he is close to your coachs and everybody on the team.

Hello sorry to bother you with this all of sudden ,and this might be coming out of nowhere, and I’m not trying to force you or be pushy but I m trying to get more people into this show with great potential. If your not interested it’s fine but Have you heard of or watched moon girl and devil dinosaur? Season 2 comes out February 2. 

The main character i love she gives me autistic vibes I’m autistic. The show has interesting characters, action ,great music, and animation ,good themes and representation, Anime references, it even has an eyecatch season 2 is going to be more story driven if you find that interesting. It also shares the same animation studio as rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles.

It be good if you watch the first 2 season 2 episode when they air so the ratings will be higher. And watch the other season 2 episodes when they air.

I think Disney might be trying to sabotage the show with them probably dropping 14 episodes on Disney + on February 3. They did similar with season 1 and the ratings where low ,please watch season 2 episodes when they air on. But more importantly also watch it on Disney + on feb 3 and when they air it on YouTube. Unfortunately they are dropping 14 episodes on Disney + so watch them all in one day but also when they air the first time.

I’m not just saying only cable just also. I’m saying please support this show. Despite that it still won 5 Emmys. Also if it’s no trouble could if it alright with you spread the word about this show to others you know like either online or irl. Time is limited!

i fell asleep around 6:30 am, mom woke me up at 10 am to walk the dog. it was cold as heck outside even though it was super sunny and logically spring weather should be starting right now, global warming has changed the weather patterns and i’m not used to the changes yet. sigh.

anyway then i went inside after a little bit and drank two energy drinks. for breakfast we had eggs, bacon, and biscuits n gravy. i watched some rottmnt with my uncle and family friend, and they could pay better attention this time because there was no loud background noise. my uncle laughed at a lot of the jokes which also made me very happy!! :D he likes when i point out details and easter eggs (like when we were watching Bullhop and i pointed out that DIGG was playing at big mama’s party) and he doesn’t mind when i pause the show to rant to him about something either, i told him the plot to one of the episodes of my rottmnt au and he said it was good and he likes it. yay!

like literally yesterday i recommended blue eye samurai to my friend and today he texted me saying he finished season 1, so i think he turned it on and then watched the entire show in one sitting. which is exactly what i did when i watched the show the first time so… relatable. he rated it an 8/10 ('very good' on his rating system) and gave some commentary on it, which i enjoy.

my little cousin came to visit today and i swung on the swings outside with her. i memorized and learned all k sounds in hiragana and katakana, then my sister took us out to go get snow cones. (which she apparently doesn’t call them, and she doesn’t call them shaved ice either. she calls them snow balls. it’s weird that i live and grow up with someone my whole life and we somehow have slightly different vernacular.)

but sadly pelicans was closed when we got there, so we went to dollar general and got snacks instead. then we went home and watched big time rush with her, but i left to go to my room after the first episode to focus on my japanese.

i realized today when a BTR song played on the radio and my sister was like “i love this episode” and then recounted the plot of the episode / movie that the song was in, that big time rush is to my sister what rottmnt and voltron is to me. sometimes my friends will send me a screenshot or gif from either show and i’ll be able to tell them the exact scene of the exact episode it's from (and then they call me a nerd), honestly it’s weird when i’m NOT able to do that.

i forget that neurodivergence is hereditary and most of my family members also some kind of disorder or disability. LOL.

That is one similar problem I do have with how Ben Schwartz portrays Sonic. Absolutely no ill-will against him at all, but there is one question I wanna know: Why does he feel the need to leach himself onto iconic blue 90s characters who already had their own stories and personalities (Leonardo from Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dewey Duck from Ducktales 2017 reboot and Sonic from the movies of course) when he's already a successful improv performer with his own shows where he can freely make as many jokes to his heart's content and when he can play new original characters in original TV shows (Jean Ralphio from Parks and Rec, Clyde Oberholt from House of Lies and F Tony Scarapiducci from Space Force)? Like go watch ROTTMNT Leo audio switches with Ben's other voices made by Galaxy_Cat on YouTube to see how those characters pretty much share the same vibes and personalities. XD

I remember reading about an interview Ben had about his obsession with video games and arcades and there was a part where he was called "An urban Peter Pan, he specializes in portraying young men who can’t or won’t grow up" and now I thought to myself "Huh... No wonder his versions of those iconic blue 90s characters whom he turned into his personal self-inserts won't grow up and stop making pop-culture jokes every time they open their mouths, (I know the Sonic sequel talked about him still needing growing up to do but... Ehh... We'll believe it when we see it for ourselves) because the voice actor is like that! Heck even his character from House of Lies has more serious moments than the self-insert hedgehog who's only Sonic by name despite him supposingly having bigger childhood trauma. Voicing Sonic was apparently his dream come true because he remembers when he played the first Sonic games when he was a wee lil lad, meaning his reason for turning Sonic into less like the Sonic we knew and loved and more into his hedgehog self-insert is basically "Cuz mah childhood, mah nostalgia lol" and I get it, I'm sure we all have some fond nostalgic memories of our childhood and all, but I also can't help but wonder to myself: Has this dude ever played Sonic games beyond the Genesis trilogy? I hope so cuz the Genesis Trilogy is seriously overrated nowadays! >.< (No ill-will for the classic aspects or those to like it either but it really does get more spotlight compared to the other Sonic aspects)

Not sure if you got my other ask before but I want to try again cause I feel like you might understand me, I really dislike the Sonic Movie, since not only do I feel it hardly relates to the games but I just dont like fart jokes and generic road trip hollywood movies but it bothers me to see MovieEggman being praised and having seen people saying he's the best version of Eggman?? that's not Eggman that's Jim Carrey

Yeah I honestly feel the same way, I think it's pretty generic and predictable as any live action movie where a human finds some animated little guy and then they have to go on an adventure that usually involves a road trip to escape/stop the bad guy. That doesn't appeal to me in any movie, so making it Sonic still doesn't make me any more of a fan.

If people don't mind the tropes and like the movie then I'm happy for them but personally I already knew it wasn't going to be my thing years back, when we found out it was going to be live action. I really don't think this series works in a live action setting, the Sonic universe and characters are so colorful, beautiful, and cartoony fun in a way that can't be matched in real life.

Also yeah to each their own as long as they aren't hating on other versions/designs but I really don't think jimbotnik is the best version, especially because I don't like him at all lol. He may share basic traits with og Eggman but his way of presenting them is much different and I don't feel he captures the essence. And yeah people have told me to be grateful because the movie has made more people like Eggman but there's thousands of people that only like jimbotnik exclusively and even hate on the og Eggman. And jimbotnik already has so much more fans, praise, fan art, fanfics, gay shipping, and ns4w than og Eggman has had in 30 years and ngl it stings.

I've seen a bunch of jimbotnik fans dissing og Eggman by calling him 'ugly' for his various features and also being fatphobic. It still bothers me that any other version didn't become anywhere near as popular as jimbotnik, no version of the character was so immensely popular and praised than the one version that's skinny and considered conventionally attractive. I know that plays a big undeniable part in it.

And him being more like carrey and less like Eggman was intentional, even in the second movie. They're using a big Hollywood actor and they know keeping his likeness in appearance and actions more than Eggman would make him appeal to more people. And it works because I've seen a lot of people praising it for being 'classic carrey' and a lot of the people that find him hot only think so because it's carrey. (which I really don't get sorry fjsjfnskgnskg)

I'm really surprised by how different jimbotnik both looks and acts than og Eggman, it's just wild to me that it's possible to like a version of the character for the exact opposite reasons than one does with og Eggman because they're so vastly different in a number of ways. I still feel like jimbotnik, especially with his look throughout most of the first movie, could've been a completely different character.

And then people assume I must like jimbotnik too because I've always liked og Eggman, but he doesn't really have anything in common with what I admire og Eggman for in design, personality, and actions. Even more so when it comes to attraction as well, as og Eggman caters to my exact type in men in multiple ways while jimbotnik is very far from all that for me lol. It's super awkward when people think eggfucker means I wanna fuck carrey... he's not even an egg lol

I just watched the RotTMNT movie & am crying in a sort of hybrid mess of feelings. So, I have a slight request, if you don't mind. Could I get some little AU doodles of what would've happened if the other three brothers or even April had raised the precious future boy instead of Leo or if his mom stayed around? Sooooo I thought about it and I couldn’t resist the urge (plus I was commissioned with the first drawing) to have Donnie take Leo’s place and I couldn’t stop!!! So I guess it’s a mini comic.

I like to believe a part of Donnie would warm up to Casey after losing his mom, Leo, and Mikey (he wasn’t cold or anything but Casey was just you know there Leo usually watched over him) but would still very much not show as much emotion as he did when he was a teenager. Even as a teenager he was never the type to comfort he was more on the receiving end but for Casey jr he would sure as heck try his best.

It would be the small things for Donnie maybe he would notice that he’s not as fast as the others when raiding or battling the krang so boom he has a grappling hook to swing around on. Casey came back with a lot bruises on his face Donnie can’t have that time to reinforce his hockey mask. And many more things to come after that. Of course Casey will have to go to the past to stop the krang (idk how it would happen in this version) and sadly watch his Master die (I drew a comic of this I’ll be sure to tag you when I post it) there’s no avoiding that sadly.

"Mikey! You gotta stay still if I'm going to bandage this!" "Right! Right, sorry...it just hu- OW!!"

After a nice heartfelt moment with Mikey and Splinter, Leo instantly rushed Mikey away to the medbay they had. 

He was not going to stand for Mikey to not treat his injury properly and for it to get infected. 

Too bad that obviously, because Mikey was stabbed in the arm, it, in general, really hurt when Leo did...basically anything with it. 

First he just inspected the wound, then he had to disinfect the wound (Mikey almost screamed a bit with that. Impressive he only gasped a few times) and now he has to bandage the wound. Obviously, that wasn't a very easy task, as Mikey kept on flinching away. Honestly, Leo didn't even blame it fully on the amount of pain that came from him trying to bandage it. It was probably partly because Mikey was so abused that he didn't even believe that Leo wouldn't hurt him.

Oof.

Leo was going to have to change that. 

Mikey clenches his fist so hard that his nails dig into his palms. "Sorry!- Sorry...that...r-really hurts.." Leo sighs and gently unravels Mikey's hand so he isn't injuring himself. "It's okay. I just really need you to stay still for me, okay? I know it hurts like heck, but this is very important. We can't just disinfect the wound and then call it a day without a bandage."

Mikey huffs and looks away. "Right...just...just get it over with?" Leo shoots him his signature grin. "I gotchu bro." 

Mikey smiles at the usage of "bro" when referring to him.

He never thought anyone would call him that....

It felt nice.

You know what doesn't feel nice though? Getting your injury bandaged. Mikey just barely bites back a yelp as Leo starts attempting to bandage his wound again. "Ow! Ow. Okay, how about you tell me next time you're about to do that?" Leo looks up at him with a confused expression on his face before he realizes what he's talking about. "Oh! Right, right, sorry. My bad."

Leo continues to bandage Mikey's arm. Mikey flinches a few times, but if I'm being honest, Leo's a bit surprised he doesn't flinch more with how bad his injury is. 

Reni leans against the doorframe and watches the chaos as it occurs.

Admittedly, Reni never thought she would ever have another sibling. She thought it would only ever be Leo. 

She giggles as Mikey starts complaining that Leo should have given him a warning before he started bandaging his arm up. 

After Leo finishes bandaging up Mikey, he speaks. "Okay. So you won't be able to use that arm for around two weeks." "WHAT?!" "Jeez, dude, chill! It's just two weeks! It's not like you have to do anything." Mikey hurriedly looks around. "B-But I have training! I can't just-...oh yeah....I uhh...I'm not with Draxum anymore..."

Leo gives him a look of pity, and Reni walks up. "Yeah. You are no longer with that jerk. So why don't you just relax a bit? You don't have training or any missions, or...well, basically anything to do! Why don't we play some Mario Kart?" Leo gasps as he realizes something. "We can show you all our favorite video games and have another younger person's opinion on it!!"

Reni gasps with the realization too. "Yeah!! Not that we don't love dad it's just that, in general, he's not too big on video games." 

Mikey nods. 

Splinter walks into the room, looking distraught. Leo speaks up. "Hey dad, what's wrong?" Splinter looks up from the floor to look at them. "Michelangelo." Mikey freezes at his name being spoken. "Y-yeah?"

Splinter takes a deep breath.

"You are not the only one of my lost children."

Everyone in the room freezes.

It was like time had stopped entirely. They had more siblings? Why hadn't Splinter told them?!

"W-what..?" Reni speaks faintly. Splinter looks ashamed and nods, looking back down at the ground again. 

"Yes. Raphael and Donatello." Reni looks to Mikey and to Leo. Then back to Splinter. "D-Do you know where they are?"

Splinter shakes his head. "All I know is that they are not here." Everyone looks confused, and obviously Splinter can tell. "They are in a place under New York."

Imagine how PISSED the turtles would be if m/c had a close friend in the isekai/sentient bot au. Especially if said friend tried to drag m/c into another fandom over rottmnt.

M/c’s friend better send his prayers because they are FUCKED once their reality is breached by the turtles. Heck, Raph wouldn’t even hold back!

The turtles would probably be so livid they would target m/c’s friend and kill them directly after they kidnap m/c. They would walk through the portal towards m/c, coated in blood…

The moment m/c starts spending just slightly more time with them than the turtles (they consider m/c watching them on tv as ‘spending time with them’) is when all hell breaks loose. They probably would go for the kill while m/c is watching, just to make sure they know that the turtles are their only lovers friends :)

Also, I love your idea on Mikey getting angry when one of his bros says they can hear m/c as well. I doubt he would get far with telling off others and claiming they are lying, considering they can all hear m/c. After a while, he would kinda have to warm up to the idea that they can all hear m/c. He may develop the belief that m/c is some sort of divine being that watches over him and his family… giving small pieces of guidance as they go on…

…Either that or Mikey gets humbled by his bros :/

Either way, m/c‘s only real chance of escape is to destroy any piece of tech near them, break any connection with the show (if it is a sentient bot au, they would have to block the numbers and wipe the phone before destroying it), make a fake identity and change your physical appearance by a lot (m/c would most likely have to have some form of surgery to make distinguishable features disappear), and move to a completely new state/ country…

But even that may not be enough… I mean, DNA is a thing m/c can’t really change, so, depending how much info the turtles have of m/c, their only hope of escape may be to hide in THEIR universe as a mutant… just hope m/c doesn’t become a turtle :/ (that would be kinda funny tho- m/c attempting to mutate themselves to escape and ending up a turtle. Yeah, they wouldn’t be hidden for too long. Oh, the sweet, sweet irony).

And how would m/c’s friend escape? Well… let’s just say that they are the first person the turtles are targeting once they realize m/c has went into hiding… and m/c’s friend knows where they went… looks like m/c may not be so safe anymore after all…

“Shh…I’m right here, my divinity, your devotée is right here just for you.” Mikey shushes, rocking you in his arms as his blood-covered body stains your clothing. You stare at the all the blood dripping off their bodies.

Are they the reason why your friend hasn’t been responding to you?

You couldn’t move, too much in shock to even blink. You couldn’t even shed a tear, from horror and fear swallowing your heart.

“They were keeping you away from being taken care of by us! For me to take care of you…” Leo tried to justify, his arms reaching out to caress your face.

Donnie crossed his arms and glanced away, not wanting to witness the sight of his brother coddling the person he was obsessed with. “Keeping you from taking care of yourself..." He mumbled quietly, eyes narrowed as he grips his staff tighter. Grimacing at the blood that pooled around his feet. "They were hurting you...mentally and perhaps even physically."

Raph walks beside Mikey and pats your head, his eyes showing a sympathetic expression. "I know you didn't want to see them...disappear, but we really couldn't stand you being away from us anymore. But don't worry, we'll treat you way better than they ever did."

You could only continue to stare in cold terror.

 Leo really hated being sick. It was always boring. Especially if he was the only one who got sick. Raph would get anxious and act like a mother hen, and Donnie would never let him leave his room if it was not necessary (and mind you, it is not because Leo has to rest, it is because he’d end up spreading his sickness in the lair), and would be a snitch whenever Leo tried to sneak out. At least Splinter had the experience and always knew what Leo needed. 

 The thing was that his dad seemed to miss the fact Leo had slept the whole morning, and then the whole noon, and now he couldn’t sleep. To be honest he didn’t want to either. Being sick was bad, but staying in your room and not being able to do much was also bad. The first was okay. He read comics, scrolled on his phone and read some fanfiction, played some video games... Yeah, he had company too but... He wanted to do something other than lying down all the time! He was well enough to walk around, and he was pretty sure his sickness wasn't contagious so he should be able to leave the room, right?

 So he got up. It was slow and careful steps, mostly to not wake up others. Thank Pizza Supreme in the Sky, he didn’t cough anymore. He could just have a tour of the lair, maybe even find something interesting to do—

 “Leo?”

 He turned to see Mikey standing at the entrance of his room. He had his blanket wrapped around him, and his eyes were tired. Uh oh.

 “Don’t tell me...” Leo started.

 “It is your fault.” Mikey glared.

 “...Is this why you came here?” Leo asked. “To accuse me of spreading sickness.”

 Mikey whined, “Noooo, I can’t sleep.” 

 Leo tilted his head, “Why?”

 “Because—” He began coughing. Leo watched, feeling terrible. Maybe this was his fault, alright. After his coughing fit was over, Mikey continued. “Well, this...”

 “Eugh boi... Yeah, let’s make you some warm tea.” Leo grabbed his blanket as well. It was cold out of his bed.

 “That sounds good, but I was wondering,” Mikey was looking at him pleadingly. “Could I stay with you tonight?” 

 Leo understood his pain very well. Sickness alone was boring as heck. “Sure, but we will visit the kitchen first.” He didn’t wait for an answer. Instead, he pulled his blanket and walked out of the room.

 He’d consider himself fast for someone sick, considering how Mikey had yet to join him. Except he wasn’t aware that Mikey was watching him walk, pulling his plushies on the blanket at the same time. The youngest smiled to himself as he followed his brother, deciding not to say anything. 

 Eventually, the two reached to the kitchen, Leo making two mugs of linden tea. Meanwhile, Mikey leaned on the counter, watching him. As Leo poured the warm tea into the mugs, he noticed something: “Hey, isn’t that Dad’s soup?” 

 Leo looked at where Mikey pointed at. A big casserole, which Leo knew that Splinter used it for when he made one of his famous soups. “Yeah, it is...”

 “Shouldn’t he have put it into the fridge?” Mikey muttered.

 “I dunno, you are the chef here.” Leo shrugged.

 They looked at each other for a second before Mikey said “I’m reheating it.” 

 “I’m getting the bowls.”

 And so the two warmed the soup, poured it into bowls, and headed out of the kitchen with two trays of soup and tea. The slideer had yet to notice his plushies on his blanket too, so they came along with the turtles as well. 

 Leo pointed out that Mikey’s room was the closest one, so they quietly headed there. However, Leo had forgotten that Mikey lacked a bed. Good thing Mikey had unreasonably a lot of pillows. Since Mikey had even less energy and was coughing a bit more now, Leo decided to handle putting the pillows down to make a comfortable place they could sit. As he did the task, he noticed the familiar purple tablet on the ground. “Is that Donnie’s tablet?” 

 “Mmmhmm.” Mikey murmured. 

 Well, they could use this! “Wanna watch a lame movie until we fall asleep or Raph finds us?” 

 “Yeah,” Mikey replied, enthusiastic but tired. “One of the lame horror movies?”

 “No, you won’t be able to sleep.” Leo said as he placed more pillows on the ground.

 “Nuh-uh.”

 “You literally couldn’t sleep after watching those fake ghost stories youtube videos for a week.” 

 “Lies.” 

 Leo rolled his eyes. He didn’t say anything though, because he got distracted once he pulled his blanket over the pillows. “Wha- are those my plushies?” 

 “Yea, you’ve been dragging them along with your blanket the whole time.” Mikey snickered.

 Oh. Okay, Leo maybe hadn’t recovered enough, how had he not noticed that? Eh, who cared. He took them and placed them on the pillows. “Bring yours too then.” He told Mikey as he sat down and pulled the trays closer, opening space to put the tablet on. Mikey did as he was told, and then sat next to Leo. They chose a movie and drank their soup and tea as they watched it in the dimly lit comfy room. The fairy lights and the way they were lying on the many pillows sleepily really made it feel like they were in a pillow fort. It was nice. 

 Mikey eventually got into his shell, only leaving his head out to see the screen. Leo held him close, circling gently his shell whenever his brother had a coughing fit. They both weren’t feeling their very best, but it seemed that the warm stuff and the comfort helped.

 The youngest was the first to fall asleep. Leo didn’t remember when, but he fell asleep too. In the morning they found themselves in Leo’s bed, surrounded with some pillows and stuffed animals. And there was grumpy Raph watching them- no, glaring at them, sitting next to them.

 “Hey big guy,” Leo smiled. Mikey was still sleeping beside him. “For your information, Mike’s joined the sick club.” 

 “I know.” He huffed. “What were you two thinking laying on the ground the whole night?”

 “On pillows, Raph.” Leo corrected.

 Raph glared at him even more, if it was possible.

 “Relaaax, I was restless and he wanted company. I thought tea would help with his coughing, and his room is closer than mine...” Leo explained.

 Raph sighed. “What am I gonna do with you two...” 

 “Bring us a very good breakfast?” He suggested.

 “How are you feeling?” Raph asked, ignoring Leo’s suggestion. But he had smiled, so he might’ve brought them a good breakfast. Or maybe it was already on the way. 

 “Still not feeling too hot, buuut kinda better.” Leo answered. “No coughing, a bit tired tho.”

 “Yeah, good.” Raph smiled, then put his hand on his forehead. “Your fever seems to be better. But don’t you dare to leave the bed yet. Not alone.”

 “Why, where are you going?” Leo asked.

 “Didn’t you ask for breakfast?” Raph smiled as he walked towards the door.

 “You’re the best Raph.” 

 “Yeah, yeah.” Raph waved his hand. As he left, he added, “Get prepared against Donnie’s rant of careful usage of his stuff and whatever Pops has to say about soup.” 

 When Leo groaned, Raph had already left. 

 But now Leo wasn’t sick and alone. Yeah, maybe being sick was boring, and so was being stuck in your room, but hey, at least he had his family that made his days better. He smiled to himself, closing his eyes to fall asleep before his twin or Splinter paid a visit.

as for what I use to animate I use Krita!! here is a tutorial I used to learn how to set it up + how Krita's animation feature worked:

Though this tutorial covers a lot of useful information and an animation tutorial, I do urge you to learn about the software itself in your own time. (VERY IMPORTANT TIP: if you don't understand how something works, or if you want to do something in the program but have no idea how regarding the tools it has to offer, it doesn't hurt to do your own research! I learned that the hard way unfortunately, and I hope other artists don't suffer the same fate. REMEMBER! DON'T BE AFRAID TO GOOGLE!)

I made this playlist to help my boyfriend get into animation. What's special about this playlist is that I made it not just about how to make individual drawings move, but also videos that explain how and why individual design philosophies and decisions are made and how you can learn to use them to your advantage. I also added some videos in here that cover shot composition and storyboarding, since I figured that most animators strive for skill in more than one field. This playlist is still a work in progress and I'm obviously bound to add more in the future, but just know that most of the videos put on here are either videos that I think are REALLY helpful as an animator who wishes they had that kind of help in their beginner years, or videos that DID help me in my beginner years way back when.

The playlist is a bit short but quality over quantity amirite? Next up is a playlist that helped spark my love for animation and pushed me to pursue it myself: the Skribble Kibble series!

Not everything in this playlist is an animation tutorial, but I highly recommend it for someone with an untrained eye. This series has inspired me not only because it covered animation; a medium that I was already interested in, but also awakened my love for analysis when it came to visual mediums. what it does great, what it does poorly, what makes something unique, and what makes something the way that it is, and explaining WHY.

Animation Tip : Learn to observe! not just in life, but in other animated media as well. ask yourself questions, and break things down. try it out yourself and experiment! heck, go frame by frame if you have to! learn to learn!

which brings me to my next source: FramebyFrame

This account has been AMAZING. It's informative and presents visual guides. It's a great place to start when you want to train yourself to analyze animation in the moment. I always think of it as some sort of game, They always play the animation first before they show the breakdown, try to spot as many cool animation tricks as you can, and see how many are mentioned! They also recently did a breakdown on RotTMNT which I find to be super neat :]

Mikyomix's Personal Animator Tips (Great or Unhelpful? You Decide!):

wanted to make this it's own section because I had no idea how to properly fit this all in so it goes in here

Study first! I know this sounds super lame but I promise you it will save you so much suffering. It's better to already have a grasp on animation and its fundamentals before you actually start animating. I've gone into the pitfall of having really crap animation skills, feeling bad over it not looking right, going into a pit spiral of self-doubt, while simultaneously not putting in the effort to learn why it didn't look right and how to fix it. It took me a good while to sit down and actually learn everything before I officially started and had more confidence in myself to fix my mistakes and learn from past projects. I already mentioned it earlier, but again, don't be afraid to take notes and whatever information you find to be useful!

Pick your animated projects wisely! Listen, I know it's tempting to do that music video you always dreamed about with your not-so-simply-designed OC. But personally, I advise steering away from large-scale projects and animations that require more than your current skill level if you're a beginner. I know it sounds harsh, and I'm not telling you to give up on your dreams or anything, but just know that animations like that might be more than you bargained for, and could result in burnout and a final product you might not be proud of. You could easily tire yourself out if you're a beginner learning as you go, and I understand that many people actually advise it for the learning experience, but in my personal experience, it didn't really end well. LOTS of unfinished projects, time sunken in on something that I no longer wanted to finish, bad memories associated with the project, etc. Of course, everyone is different and you might not experience the same things I did, but just be aware of the cons. Instead, I highly recommend you-

-Design and create at your own personal convenience! If you're a beginner, I advise you to go simple. I know not everyone is interested in the bouncing ball or the flour sack, but there's no rulebook that says you're prohibited from designing a simple character to animate! Not everyone starts out the same way, and that's completely valid, I first started animating my furry OC's and I'm sure other young animators started in a similar way, animating the things they want! though there was one thing that I did keep in mind, and that was I designed my OC's to be easy to draw over and over again. easier for me to animate, and easier for me to draw them consistently. So if you're first starting out, don't be afraid to simplify! remove minute details if you have to. You can figure it out later no pressure! Just animate things because you want to, not because you have to. and that includes the tiny details that would be difficult to keep track of as a beginner. This is a bit of a smaller point that didn't need its own thing, but while you're at it, learn effective character design! not just for aesthetics and narrative purpose, but also for functionality.

Remember that you are not obligated to practice the old-fashioned way! Not everyone finds animation exercises fun, and that's okay. But whatever you choose to do, putting everything you learned into practice, IT STILL COUNTS AS PRACTICE. Every little animation you make counts no matter how short or unfinished it is, and your efforts deserve to be praised. why? because you're learning little by little and it is still very valuable! despite how small and minute or large and noticeable the improvement in animation quality is, you're still making strides in learning to be a better animator than you were before. Don't listen to what those old geezers say, you do you! animation is supposed to be a labor of love and passion. and being forced to do something under the obligation that its "industry standard" is frankly, baloney.

Timing Charts. you might not be inclined to write them properly, but it's useful if you're jotting things down. use them.

PLEASE. LOCK YOUR LAYERS WITH FINISHED ANIMATION WHEN YOU DON'T INTEND ON TOUCHING THEM FOR A WHILE AND YOU'RE WORKING ON A SEPARATE THING ON THE SAME PROJECT. I'VE LOST. SO MUCH...

Don't be afraid to mix tweeting with frame-by-frame. Sleepykinq tweening isn't the only form of tweening + tweening is great if you want to keep something consistent. Though if you want to go frame-by-frame with the convenience of tweening but without the visual integrity of tweening, tween on one layer as a guide and animate on top, so it's still frame-by-frame.

Unlimited layers? use them. Is a certain part of rough inbetweening giving you trouble? make another layer and animate it on there if you don't want to mess with the main roughs, then merge it down.

More frames does not equal smoother animation, it risks making it look slower. work with the FPS, not against it

Name your layers. save the tears.

Anyways, PHEW that was long. Sorry about that, I just have a lot to say about animation. I'm not NEARLY qualified enough to actually teach animation, nor am I linguistically intelligent enough to get the points I want across (I think). But I really hope that you and a few other people found this to be helpful.
