A High Priest must be duly qualified and divinely appointed
1-3 Note that when a man is chosen as High Priest he is appointed on men’s behalf as their representative in the things of God—he offers gifts to God and makes the necessary sacrifices for sins on behalf of his fellow-men. He must be able to deal sympathetically with the ignorant and foolish because he realises that he is himself prone to human weakness. This naturally means that the offering which he makes for sin is made on his own personal behalf as well as on behalf of those whom he represents.
4 Note also that nobody chooses for himself the honour of being a High Priest, but he is called by God to the work, as was Aaron, the first High Priest in ancient times.
5 Thus we see that the Christ did not choose for himself the glory of being High Priest, but he was honoured by the one who said: ‘You are my Son, today I have begotten you’.
6 And he says in another passage: ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek’.
Christ, the perfect High Priest, was the perfect Son
7-10 Christ, in the days when he was a man on earth, appealed to the one who could save him from death in desperate prayer and the agony of tears. His prayers were heard; he was freed from his shrinking from death but, Son though he was, he had to prove the meaning of obedience through all that he suffered. Then, when he had been proved the perfect Son, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who should obey him, being now recognised by God himself as High Priest “after the order of Melchizedek.
There is much food for thought here—but only for the mature Christian
11-14 There is a great deal that we should like to say about this high priesthood, but it is not easy to explain to you since you seem so slow to grasp spiritual truth. At a time when you should be teaching others, you need teachers yourselves to repeat to you the ABC of God’s Revelation to men. You have become people who need a milk diet and cannot face solid food! For anyone who continues to live on “milk” is obviously immature—he simply has not grown up. “Solid food” is only for the adult, that is, for the man who has developed by experience his power to discriminate between what is good and bad for him. — Hebrews 5 | J.B. Church notes - 5th January 2025
Church notes - January 2025 5th Acts 16:31
Hebrews 5:5 - 13
2025 What is behind that door? There is a lot of pessimism
Hope We have a hope in Jesus.
Don't let all the good ideas, themes and hope of Christmas be packed away.
The foundation for the new year is in the true meaning of Christmas
Jesus is the Redeemer, Shepherd and Friend Redeemer - He took Sin's penalty on Himself. Isaiah 53:3 Colossians 3:13, 14
All we need to do is to take up that gift.
Doubts can surface. But it is certain, because it relies on Jesus, not on us. He shepherds us through the ups and downs of life.
God is with us in our difficulties.
John 1:14
Hebrews 2:14 - 18
He became flesh and blood in order to save us.

HEBREWS S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 5
Tuesday, 8/20/24
SCRIPTURE:
We have a lot to say about this topic, and it’s difficult to explain, because you have been lazy and you haven’t been listening. ~ Hebrews 5:11
OBSERVATION:
It probably wouldn't be so difficult to explain if I hadn't been lazy and not listening...
...which doesn't mean there's not a lot to say...
I mean, can we - can I - ever say enough about God's goodness and what Jesus has done and is doing?
APPLICATION:
"...say a lot about this topic..."!
Pray that it be made easy to explain...
Get up and get busy...
...and listen...
PRAYER:
Lord Father God - please forgive my laziness and failure to listen - for allowing distractions and selfishness to make it hard to understand let alone speak up about Your grace and mercy - to act gracefully and mercifully in the lives of those You bring into my day-to-day, even if only for a bumper-to-bumper passing moment... remind me to rest in You and to listen for and to Your still small voice... In Jesus's Name, Father, that You might - will - receive the honor due Your Name...
For Him... for you... for yours...

Walking Torah Road
Hebrews 5.11-14 Paul says it this way in Romans 12.2, “…do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Don’t be lazy or sluggish…don’t be “dull of hearing/obeying” in your walk down Torah Road. Spend quality time in God’s Word every day because, as we do that, the…

It’s Time To Grow Up
11 About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. 14 But solid food is for the mature,…

I think it's time for the goyim to understand this huge detail :) these two movements mask their inner antisemitism by claiming to be Jewish/for Jews/whatever lies they come up with daily to appear friendly to actual Jewish individuals. None of them represents actual Jews, in fact it makes most of us feel unsafe whenever these groups are brought up. Don't get fooled by any of them!
#mine#antisemitism#ישראבלר#i'm just tired of the misinformation running around this site#all over the web actually but for some reason this is the only place i'm at#if you go to a rally that calls for the erasure of the only jewish country but think it's ''okay'' because jews ornagized it#then you're either stupid or ignorant or just found a nice loophole to be a dick#anyways these organizations are trash#i dare any of these ''jews'' to name 5 hebrew holidays without using wikipedia lmao

Hebrews 1:1-2 (NLT). “Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.”
2 Peter 1:21 (GW). “No prophecy ever originated from humans. Instead, it was given by the Holy Spirit as humans spoke under God’s direction.”
Galatians 4:4-5 (GNT). “But when the right time finally came, God sent his own Son. He came as the son of a human mother and lived under the Jewish Law, to redeem those who were under the Law, so that we might become God's children.”
“The God Who Speaks” By In Touch Ministries:
“God offers us the invaluable privilege of personal communication with Him.”
“Throughout human history, God has spoken to mankind in various ways. His prophets and apostles were moved by the Holy Spirit to proclaim and write His words (2 Peter 1:21), but His ultimate expression came through the birth of His Son Jesus (Galatians 4:3-5). Through the Holy Spirit, the Lord still communicates to every Christian who listens with an open and receptive heart.
Think about the wonder of having a God who speaks—not a distant deity who gives orders from heaven, but one who actually wants to converse with you! Why would the Lord of all creation choose to come to earth, die on a cross, and provide the Holy Spirit in order to communicate with each of us? Consider that God...
Loves you.
Desires an intimate relationship with you.
Longs for you to trust Him and for your faith to grow strong as you see the fulfillment of His words.
Wants you to experience all He’s planned for your life—and will guide you to fulfill His purposes.
In the busyness of the Christmas season, it’s easy to take for granted this invaluable privilege of communication with the Lord. Take time this week away from distractions so you can listen to the God who wants to talk with you.”

the fact that Rabea Eghbariah says things such as "See Protected Natural Values Declaration (Amendment No. 2) (Judea and Samaria), 1978."
well, Mr. Eghbariah, I would love to "see" this order for myself. however you have made that completely impossible by translating the title of the law to English, giving me no indication of what the original Hebrew was, no indication of the number assigned to this law, no citation of any translated English publication of these laws, and no citation of any Hebrew publication or archive of these laws. so how, precisely, am I supposed to "see" anything. hm?
#I've managed to track down the original Hebrew & a source for the full text of 3 of the 5 or so laws she named#but I'm still struggling with this one#malding and seething &c.#citation#food research

Jesus' Prayers and Petitions
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to him that was able to save him from death, and was heard, in that he feared; — Hebrews 5:7 | Webster's Bible Translation (WBT) The Holy Bible; Webster’s Bible Translation by Noah Webster, a revision of the King James Bible, Published in 1833 is in the public domain. The Greater High Priest
Hebrews 5.1-10 Jesus is greater. He’s greater as the Son of God. He’s greater as the Son of David. He’s the greater Prophet…Priest…and King. Jesus is greater. Jesus learned obedience through suffering. Not that He was disobedient, but that suffering was necessary for Him to be the perfect sacrifice. Not only sinless. But One who could relate to our suffering. And the One who obediently suffered…

Our Great High Priest
1 For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness. 3 Because of this he is obligated to offer sacrifice for his own sins just as he does for those of the people. 4 And no one takes this honor for himself, but only…
