John 14:16-19 (NLT). [16] “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. [17] He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. [18] No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. [19] Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live.”
Hebrews 13:5 (ESV). “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
“Our Incomparable Companion” By In Touch Ministries:
“Because the Holy Spirit lives inside us, we are never truly alone.”
“Loneliness will creep into most lives at some point. However, as believers, we are never truly alone because God has given us an unfailing companion—the Holy Spirit.
None of us can truthfully promise always to be available; the realities of time, distance, and even death can separate people. Thankfully, by sending the Holy Spirit to live inside of us, Jesus keeps His promise to never leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).
Human beings were never meant to live alone. God designed us to be complete only when we are indwelt by His Spirit, which occurs upon our salvation. We can, however, choose to ignore the Holy Spirit. For example, some people stubbornly attempt to live the Christian life in their own strength or skip Bible reading when they find meditating on the Word inconvenient. That kind of life is marked by discontent: Peace will be fleeting, and loneliness will feel like the heart’s permanent resident.
The Holy Spirit is our parakletos, or companion who “walks beside.” If we hold Him at arm’s length, we distance ourselves from the Father as well. But if we ask the Spirit to guide our steps and open our mind to God’s plans, He will support and encourage us in ways we never imagined.”

"THE CHRISTMAS GUEST THAT WILL NEVER LEAVE!"
Matthew 1:23, “Listen! The virgin shall conceive a child! She shall give birth to a Son, and He shall be called “Emmanuel” (meaning “God Is With Us.”) (TLB) During the holidays you have to admit there’s quite a bit that can make you cry! Seeing family, exchanging gifts, watching kid’s faces light up, reading heart-felt cards and the like. However, there’s an even bigger Kleenex moment that…

Cultivating Contentment in Our Comparison World
Introduction In today’s fast-paced, image-driven world, it’s all too easy to get caught up in the spirit of comparison. With social media platforms constantly presenting us with curated glimpses into the lives of others, we often find ourselves longing for what others have—be it material possessions, career achievements, or even relationships. Yet, as we indulge in these comparisons, something…

“12 Promises of God to Lean On” By Instaencouragements.com:
“Leaning on the promises of God means relying on the assurances that He has given us through His Word, the Bible.
God's promises are trustworthy and provide comfort, guidance, and hope to believers.
When we lean on these promises and trust in God's faithfulness, we find peace. Peace that passes all human understanding. Peace that sustains us in the midst of difficult circumstances. Peace that assures us that God is in control.
It's important that we read and meditate on God's Word regularly. When we do, we will be reminded of His promises and to deepen our trust in Him.
Today, let's look at 12 of His promises and meditate on the Scripture where they are found.
12 promises of God we can confidently lean on today:
1. God will fight for you: “The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” —Exodus 14:14
2. God will go before you: “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” —Deuteronomy 31:8
3. God will be with you: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” —Joshua 1:9
4. God will renew you: “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” —Isaiah 40:31
5. God will strengthen you: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” —Isaiah 41:10
6. God will be your Shepherd: “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” —Psalm 23:1
7. God will deliver you: “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” —Psalm 34:17
8. God will counsel you: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” —Psalm 32:8
9. God loves you: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” —John 3:16
10. God will make all things work for your good: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” —Romans 8:28
11. God will never leave you: “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.” —Hebrews 13:5
12. God will guard you: “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 4:7

Contentment Is Learned
By Greg Laurie “Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” —Hebrews 13:5 Often, we think that contentment comes from what we have. We might even say, “If I just had this, then I would be content.” Or “If I were a bit more intelligent,” or “If I were a bit better looking,” or “If I were a little more successful,” or “If…

Never will I Leave You or Forsake You
That title conjures up fond memories of promises made by a parent, a close friend, a boyfriend or girlfriend or a spouse that they would never leave or forsake me. But, they didn’t/couldn’t keep their promise. Every one of those relationships DID leave me. Aw! But I CAN guarantee that there is ONE Who keeps His promises when He says: “Never will I Ieave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews…

Living His Word
Tumblr media
Keep your lives free from the love of money. And be satisfied with what you have. God has said, "I will never leave you;    I will never run away from you." - Hebrews 13:5
There is nothing wrong with money per se. We need it. We need it most every day. It's a very useful tool with which to conduct commercial and financial transactions. Without money we would have to go back to the days of barter. We would have to lug our possessions around every time we wanted to improve ourselves financially. Money is one of the best inventions of humankind.
The problem is not money, but the love of money. The Apostle Paul said, "The love of money causes all kinds of evil" (1 Timothy 6:10). The problems begin when people live to make and receive money. Instead of living to serve and love God, they live to acquire as much money as they can. That's why Paul went on to say in I Timothy that some people have even "turned away from what we believe because they want to get more and more money." Instead of living meaningful lives in obedience to God, they squandered their lives "trying to catch the wind" (Ecclesiastes 1:14).
Money is like the wind. It's difficult to hold on to. You never really catch it. You never really catch as much as you want. It has a way of eluding your grasp and slipping through your fingers. The minute you think you have enough of it the stock market dips, or the banks fail, or thieves steal some of it, or inflation reduces its value. Chasing after money is like trying to catch the wind because, like everything else in created reality, money is here today and gone tomorrow. It doesn't make much sense, therefore, to build your life around its acquisition.
It's much better to serve and love God than money, because He will always be there for you. When we place God first in our lives everything else falls into place, everything else falls into the subsidiary positions where they belong. When we place God first we still make and use money, but we don't live for it. We still do what we can to improve ourselves financially, but we're also satisfied with what we have. We're satisfied because we trust God to take care of us, not money.
Unlike money, He will never leave us; He will never run away from us.
