Rest In Peace, Tori Bowie
While some vehemently deny that structural racism exists and that even individual doctors hold internal biases against Black women, maternal mortality rates do not lie.

Even though 60% of all childbirth-related deaths in the US are preventable, the "[racial] disparities around maternal health are not improved by access to insurance, access to education," according to double board-certified neonatologist and pediatrician Dr. Terri Maior-Kincade.
"Having a higher socio-economic status for Black women is not protective," Major-Kincade told Insider. "These disparities are related to systemic issues, and they're not going to get better until we provide equitable care. So we have to improve the way we deliver care to Black women so that we can have the full joy of pregnancy."

Hospitals in Quebec are grappling with overcrowding, and the situation could worsen as flu season approaches. According to provincial data, wait times to see a doctor can stretch up to 13 hours in some facilities. At Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital, labour shortages are exacerbating the issue. Dr. Mauril Gaudreault, president of Quebec's College of Physicians, noted that the intensive care unit is severely overcrowded. He added that patients now need to be increasingly ill to be admitted due to a lack of available beds.

Anyone remember that one MrBeast video where he got 1000 people cured of blindness? Me neither. Anyways.
My grandpa recently had that same procedure done and thanks to our government subsidized healthcare, he paid 13$ for it.
The interesting and terrifying consequence of that relates to the 10s of thousands of people who can't have that surgery in the (~7 times richer than Serbia) United States. They aren't blind because of disease, they are blind because of capitalism.
And you don't get better proof of the evil of a system than "Many people are blind for no fucking reason besides the unlimited greed of the privileged few."
Whenever anyone complains of "violent" protests or "extreme" activists or whatever, remember how violent and extreme it is do deprive people of sight for no other reason than the cardinal sin of being poor.
#to be clear; i have nothing against the dude#But a system in which charity funding is required to provide healthcare for the needy really doesnt work.#And the rare anomalies within it dont change the large scale picture at all.#politics#not a reblog#ramblings#when our turn comes#we shall not make excuses for the terror#capitalism#socialism#left wing#leftisim#communism#healtcare#rants#hot take#ranting

🌟 How many times have we wondered how difficult it could be for a loved one of ours to have to depend on the help of others? 🤔
💡 Today I want to talk to you about a special project which aims to offer a course dedicated to training family assistants, an opportunity for foreign people to learn our language better and to lovingly care for those with motor problems or other disabilities.
💙Here you can take a look at some drawings taken from this comic. Hope you like it!

Medical Coding is a new path way to success and impeccable career that stands from the rest. Medical coding is the process of assigning standard codes to medical diagnoses and procedure related to the treatment of patients in order to facilitate the collection and analysis of healthcare data.

65 Movie
I went to see the movie just for Adam Driver, it was good but definitely could have had more action. IMO, if they wanted this to be a franchise, they should have delved more into the topic of the mission: Who where the other passengers? What was their mission? What was a child doing in a 2 year mission??? Also, the idea that this race has developed interestellar travel but still cannot secure the wellbeing of his population and cannot find a cure to their diseases... so relatable.
