Being honest about what we are feeling by accepting our emotions as they surface is essential in letting these emotions go and creating more room for real happiness. Focusing on remaining calm and aware of the truth that moments of difficulty do not last forever allows emotions to pass through us as opposed to hardening and being added to our burdens. For example, when we honor our sadness and remain calm in its presence we do not replicate and increase the sadness, instead we allow it a smooth passage out of our being. If we attach ourselves to our sadness and allow it to consume us we create friction and tension in the body that makes the emotion linger and grow. Im not the person I was a year ago and definitely not the person I was two years ago...I'm better. everyone's path is different but eventually you will get there regardless of who came in or out of your life. I've been interested in herbalism, the idea of alchemy, moon phases, meditation, shamanistic/natural medicine, reiki/energy work before I knew that it actually had a name since before I was a teenager. Somethings due to circumstances just had to be kept to myself. who knew that being so angry that you'd lay on your back & mentally surrounding yourself with color was chakra work. picturing energy pulse from your hands over your head (crown and third eye) your throat or chest or abdomen (throat solar plexus etc) to calm down was a part of reiki. mixing herbs for "tea" was actually creating tonics & brews. vivid dreams was lucid dreaming just knowing something was going to happen I called it intuition were really claircognizance the uncanny ability to literally take in other peoples emotions as if it's your own was not just putting your feet in their shoes but clairempathy. (gives energy flow a whole new meaning.) these are things I did before I knew what they meant or before I knew some of them had names.
