😇- I believe the term here is misotheism? Yeah.

🧸- Abyss love for reading manifested in keeping himself occupied while tests were being run on him in the lab. Not that he remembers much of that...

👻- He has a minor fear of blood, probably doesn't help he doesn't have it himself. He also fears being seen as weak or just underestimated. I think he also doesn't like the idea of losing himself.

🎶- Prefers instrumentals over normal music. Likes classical music and gothic rock.

👽- Type to go "erm actually!" and enjoys correcting people 🙄 especially when it comes to the books he reads. annoying ass /j

💤- He actually finds it comforting to sleep with other people, although he finds it a little embarrassing so he won't ask for it. If he does sleep with another person, he tends to lay his scarves like a blanket on the other. He prefers smaller cuddle piles though, he can feel a little overwhelmed otherwise.

🦾- I didn't really have one for this, so I tried to think of one. Perhaps...Magic usage most people can do exhausts him to a much greater extent than others. It can give extreme fatigue, to the point he may just fall asleep in battle. Maybe his enhanced magic takes a great strain on his body? this counts right? ajshskwususkeuwjeiekjehe

He doesn't like mentioning those "missing" at all just reminds me of what's he lost. He's now scared to let his friends out of sight in fear something will happen out of his control again

📓- Paper crane made him realize he really likes paper crafts! He can make complicated sculptures.

🧬- Papyrus and Him disagree on what Abyss Gaster purpose for them is. Yay!

👗- He dresses in winter outfits because he enjoys the aesthetic of it. He also just likes winter (he canonically prefers winter environments :3).

🔪- He does have offense powers, but uses defensive ones. That's sorta kinda canonish. He eventually learns to make shields big enough to fit more than himself.

Does he like board games? Yes. Is he good at them? To the point Daniel has refused to play at times lmao

I just think he'd be the worst combination of rules lawyer but also arbitrary. Like if they're playing ticket to ride he's analyzing every move Daniel makes and denying him the ability to move a single car if it's already touched the board. You start placing your cars along a route and realize there's a better path? Too bad, you set one token down, Armand is not allowing take backs. Catan? He's ruthless, he knows the rules and will make life hell.

But he's also the kind of demon who learned about the concept of 'house rules' from drunk Daniel back in the 80s, and now the Trinity Gate monopoly nights take like seven hours because properties aren't being auctioned off and every time Lestat says anything about how this shit is unfair, he's the prince- he's forced to place $100 in the pot in the middle of the board and game drags on and on and fucking on.

Also I see him into those really complex modern board games that have like, six decks of cards, a rule book as thick as a dictionary, and need at least an hour to explain to a new player. Like wingspan or time stories. But that's fine because everyone in the household has their preferred complex game (I think Louis would dig time stories tbh) and he's down for any of them.

☾ Sleeping habits (for Our Boys daniel/armand/louis 👀)

Oh man oh man I had to marinate on this one, I have THOUGHTS.

This is a relationship configuration where Armand can sit back and be doted on and he's taking advantage of that. Like he is always always always sleeping in the middle on the nights they're all home. He just really enjoys the weight and comfort of being surrounded by the two of them but in like, two main configurations-

Armand on his back, with Louis and Daniel on their sides facing him- a fave because he gets the joy of their faces tucked up close to his cheek/neck, or a chin resting on his shoulder. ALSO because he gets the entertainment value of Louis and Daniel trying to figure out whose arm goes where like who gets to hold his waist, who gets a hand on his chest.

And it's awkward the first couple times because neither of them know if its okay if their arms brush, like what if they BOTH want their hand on Armand's chest? But after a few nights everyone is used to it, and occasionally Armand will feel Daniel's hand push against Louis' and shove it over a little just to be a pest. And Armand hears Louis sigh but he doesn't take the bait and push back like Lestat would, he just waits until the night Daniel is least expecting it and grabs his hand and holds onto it. And now they're buddies who share a bed with their shared boyfriend and hold hands and boy does that make for some interesting eavesdropping into Louis' mind for Armand.

Armand getting spooned by Louis, with Daniel on his side wrapped around Armand like an octopus- This one happens most often if Daniel is a straggler and comes to bed last. He has to lift Armand's arm, sneak in and snuggle up with his face buried in Armand's chest. And he's tall so being down this low results in his feet sticking off the bottom of the bed but that's alright, sometimes waking up with two people playing with his hair makes up for it.

And Armand likes this because he gets to feel squashed between them but his face is still out, and Louis would like it because his chin can rest atop Armand's head. Because I think both of them have some weird trauma that would lead them to wanting to be able to see their surroundings as soon as they open their eyes, and not want to feel smothered before they fall asleep. Like Louis getting buried in the wall in that coffin, and Armand's....everything. They're both a little hypervigilant as a result.

ALSO

In my heart of hearts Armand is like Lestat, a morning (evening?) person who is ready to get out of bed and go. But Louis and Daniel both like to linger in that space between death sleep and wakefulness, where they're napping like mortals and groggy.

And Daniel missed out on sleeping a full night with Armand for so long, right? Like as a mortal he'd wake up groping for Armand even though he's not there, and would wind up hugging a pillow instead.

So now whenever Armand springs out of bed alone and gets dressed he gets treated to the sight of Daniel shifting around until he snuggles up to Louis' arm and gets settled again. And Louis is so used to Lestat clinging that he doesn't even stir, he's accepted that tall blond men drooling on his shoulder is his fate ♥

A primeira interação entre os dois foi, logicamente, “um acidente”. Aidan já havia avistado a filha de Hades há tempos atrás, sempre trocando olhares durante as oportunidades que lhe cabiam. Acontece que, no dia em questão, Kitty andava distraída durante a troca de aulas. O acampamento estava cheio naquele verão e o filho de Ares estava mais encrenqueiro do que nunca, mesmo com o intenso fluxo de pessoas, ele não desviava ou dava caminho. Quando notou que a semideusa caminhava em sua direção distraída, manteve o corpo firme aguardando o contato e, assim que o esbarrão aconteceu, em uma jogada de mestre, lançou-se no chão como se estivesse desequilibrado com aquele embate. Caídos no gramado do acampamento, ouviu pela primeira vez a risada de Kitty, completamente desconcertada com aquela situação. Os rostos vermelhos, o sorriso galanteador do filho de Ares, o cuidado ao ajudá-la a se levantar, foi seguido da primeira frase que trocou com a semideusa: “olhe por onde anda, tatu”.

Depois disso, as trocas de olhares se tornou mais frequente, mas nunca houve uma justificativa plausível para estourar a bolha social que possuíam. Até o primeiro ataque após o chamado de Dionísio. Quando passaram a enfrentar aquele monstro juntos, notou que havia uma sinergia peculiar entre os dois, muito fomentada pelo interesse que possuía nela e pelos movimentos graciosos que lhe causavam a sensação de previsibilidade. Desde então passaram a se aproximar pouco a pouco.

O contato se tornou cada vez mais frequente, sempre repleto de propostas de passeios durante o entardecer e pequenos presentes que surgiam de forma inesperada. Mensagens até a madrugada, insônias acompanhadas. Da lista de presentes, já fez um pequeno tatu de cerâmica para Kitty, bainhas de couro trabalhado para suas armas, cinto de utilidades para missões e até mesmo um cantil personalizado. O último presente foi, sem sombra de dúvidas, o mais divertido. Durante a hospedagem no Resort de Circe Aidan fez questão de ser brega, comprando um conjunto de casal com estampa de caveirinhas, mas aparentemente Kitty não gostou do look cômico.

Não são namorados, mas não desgrudam. Nas últimas semanas, Aidan vem pernoitando no chalé de Hades quase diariamente. Dormem na mesma cama, compartilham a mesma coberta e, vez ou outra, brigam pelo mesmo espaço. Nas últimas semanas, com a manifestação dos novos poderes, a dupla notou que as manifestações acabam Sendo bem inconvenientes: Aidan, roncando, já chegou a empurrar Kitty para fora da cama. Kiraz, por sua vez, já despertou debaixo da cama a até mesmo fora do quarto, fazendo com que o O'Keef entrasse em pânico om o sumiço repentino da mulher.

O semideus já liberou uma gaveta especial para o uso de Kiraz. Dentro dela já existem algumas peças de roupas dela e, talvez, em noites em que precisa atuar em turnos alternativos da patrulha, Aidan tenha criado o hábito de sentir o perfume no tecido antes de dormir. Estranhamente, a roupa parece sempre renovar a fragrância doce após uma visita da semideusa (ele não percebe que ela retoca o perfume em toda santa ocasião).

Aidan lustra a lâmina das espadas de Kiraz, carrega o armamento e as proteções de combate, não permite que ela lide com qualquer tipo de peso desnecessariamente. Isso implicou em uma mudança completa em sua rotina, já que adequou os seus horários para acompanhá-la.

Em nove meses sua vida se tornou muito mais alegre com a presença de Kitty. Mesmo que tudo não passe de uma singela amizade.

🌹 - When it comes to headcanons and fleshing out the canon, is there any particular part you like most? (Character backstories, worldbuilding, the supernatural aspects, etc.)

👻 - What is your headcanon / interpretation of whatever the deal is with Ghost’s parents?

I actually already answered the 🌹, but I think I can say more without being repetitive! It’s a lot of fun to see how my interpretations change as I get older and better understand myself and the real world. It makes me feel more comfortable with changing as much as possible, though I do hold dearly onto how I interpret the original canon. Sometimes, things are just a little more impactful if they’re a bit… Different.

Okay 👻 is really easy because I’ve been thinking So long and hard about it for like half a year now.

Gregory has three parents who raised him: T.Casket, Johnny Ghost (Sr.), and Peewee Ghost. T.Casket is his bio father, though he refused to say who the other parent was for reasons he did not explain. Casket died in an incident, and the Ghosts (family friends of T.Casket) took Gregory, now John bc he refuses to answer to anything else after being referred to as a John Doe, in. Ghost Senior died encountering what would later become Jimmy Casket, and Peewee became his sole caretaker. He might be still alive in the ‘current timeline’, but I’m not sure yet. Ghost’s primary issue is his memory, which started becoming really spotty after… something that happened when he was 11 (possessed by Jimmy Casket), so no matter how many times he has his own life explained to him, it’ll always wind up muddled in his head. (Peewee gave up trying to refresh the kid’s memory after realizing the thing possessing his son was using his history to hurt both Gregory and Peewee.) Toast has learned to be patient with him.

So yeah! Basically he’s had three dads, Peewee is a nickname but the man who had it did exist in Ghost’s life, the fact that there are two Johnnies in the house at a time was from J.Ghost Sr. Calling him Mini-Johnny until he got attached to the nickname. Gregory might have been partially supernatural, seeing as T.Casket had an affinity for the supernatural, but he doesn’t really show signs of it.

And lastly maybe Anubis and her 🤔 they both have the more softer touch, Anubis has a lot of anxiety and he tends to use sign language since he doesn’t really speak much, he’s selectively mute. But I can totally headcanon them having little study sessions where Anubis is trying to teach her sign!

1. Why I like him

GOD i could write a book on this. just so many things about his character that i love, but if i had to choose one to explain as concisely as possible, it would probably be everything that he represents. his violence, anger, and defiance being such prominent parts of his character, when just beneath that is so much exhaustion and torment. the fact that the more you learn about his character, the more you realize that he was never meant to be this way. he was meant to be at peace, making art, loving freely. he's such a tragedy.

2. Why I don't

GHHHH i just wish they did a little more with his character while he was alive. i understand how futility and wasted potential is sort of the point, and that my frustration mainly stems from my bias towards his character, but i feel like his story was cut too short too soon!!

favorite moment - i remember that ink kinda replied to template about the happy birthday message and it's so sweet (he was also a condescending asshole in that but it's ink so what do you expect)

idea for a story - i don't think i've written ink at all (except for that dark crink post), and i can't promise to write him in the future... but i think i'd like an interactive story where ink converses with a creator about art philosophy. that'd be so fun (exposing myself as a philosophy poser here...)

unpopular opinion - he needs to be more of a jerk and starts telling other characters about their "fatherless behavior" more often. ink literally is one of a few who still has two living dads lmao.

I already did for Neuvi! In fact its easier for him bc he just came out, so i have a lot of things to extrapolate from, but I was writing long ass essays for kaeya for more than a year, so its harder to come up with anything new to say asdfghj. like i don't to repeat same headcanons i already wrote, like that he's related to candace

Headcanon: I can muster a cogent argument for why it would make more sense or make for a better story if this were the case

i've gotta say, i'm a bit peeved when i see ppl portraying child kaeya as like. a dickensian beggar boy who was let to the fireplace and cried bc he tried a cube of sugar for the first time in his life. like, alberichs are nobility and we know khaenriah took their nobility *very* seriously. and if they knew they are sending their scion to mond's nobility, they'd make damn sure he can keep up their dignity. kaeya canonically could read and write before he got to mond and game makes sure to highlight that his handwriting is beautiful.

i think kaeya was very well educated, very well schooled and mannered and prepared for like high society politics, and it was kind of a cultural shock for him how uncivilized ragnyvdirs are in comparison to his own upbringing. like he's a bit confused when he doesn't see 10 different forks at the dinner table, but he's keeping a brave face, but then he sees diluc wipe his mouth with a sleeve and like snatch a piece of meat from the dish and is just completely stunned. and diluc is like oh don't be shy, you can have more too if you want!, but kaeya is in fact seeing a heart attack his own father would have at this scene. this is why he comes off as very quiet and polite to all adults at the estate

Heartcanon: I don’t have a particular rationale for why this ought to be the case, I just like to imagine it’s true because it gives me the warm fuzzies

my conspiracy theory headcanon is that he does still have his horse, but doesn't use her for work. like when he just became a knight as a teen, he saw a horse that no one wanted or ever chose bc she had horrible temper, and slowly gained her trust with treats and attention until they've became friends like a true horsegirl would. that horse was left in mond bc she doesn't let anyone else ride her, so the expedition just left her to kaeya, but he just treats her like a luxury pet and spoils her to death

Gutcanon: it’s not that I actively want this to be the case – it just unaccountably feels like it should be

the first ability from his vision that ever activated was his C4 shield when diluc cleaved him on the head and this is what saved his life. this shield is v useful, but kaeya hates it as a reminder. he also has pretty big burnscar on his eye, bc like. he took a flaming claymore to the eye, no way he has a dainty little white line from a hit like that

Junkcanon: I like to imagine it’s true because it gives me the other kind of warm fuzzies

has a collection of corsets and elaborate lingerie sets. like, you open the corset on his default outfit and there is another, even sexier corset underneath

Oh god, Daniel, absolutely. The guy was an anxious wreck during the chase years, his sleep schedule was fucked, he drank to cope. When he did have his shit together he had Armand around distracting him. It's a wonder he lived long enough to see Lestat's concert and didn't fall asleep at the wheel and get t-boned instead.

And like Armand always has him in major cities, right? Which are a pain in the ass to drive in. One way streets, parallel parking, street signs he can't even read depending on the country. I bet he loved the luxury of their relationship partly because it meant not having to get behind the wheel and navigate another confusing city on 5 hours of sleep, a shot of whiskey, and Armand's blood to keep him alert LOL

As a vampire? He's flighty and distractable when freshly turned, then too hyper-fixated later to get out of the basement much less drive. Maybe now that he's in his right mind he'd be fine but I see him as a guy who drives for pleasure, not for actual transport. So he'd hit the open highways in the middle of the night and leave the stressful downtown stuff to a pro. Or an uber. Or like, just take advantage of Armand with the cloud gift and skip the drive altogether.

Which one makes a bigger deal of birthdays?

He probably doesn't remember his own birthday, right? And then he was trafficked, and then spent centuries in Les Innocents. I don't see him allowing the vampires at the theater to 'celebrate' him even in a sarcastic sort of way, and then Louis was too checked out to hit the Victorian version of chuck e cheese and let him heal his inner child lol

So with Daniel I think he'd see a great opportunity to explore the notion of the 'birthday' party, much to Daniel's chagrin. Because for one of them it's a fun new experience but for the other it's a reminder of the slow march into aging and eventually death.

And while at first being thrown a drunken birthday blowout at Studio 54 by his vampire boyfriend would be fun at first, eventually Daniel would feel like a pet whose parent is throwing them a party. More for Armand than for him. So I think they'd have fought about it quite a lot (and then fought more when Daniel wanted to celebrate his turning as his new 'birthday' since Armand saw that as his funeral).

Now I think they'd have reached a common ground on it. Daniel gets to state his boundaries and preferences Armand must stay within, and then Armand can pick the rest. And they pick a 'birthday' for Armand and celebrate that too. But Armand's an event planner, his shindigs for Daniel are always the bigger deal.

Quem vê os semideus enluvado por sua grossa casca não imagina o quão sensível é o seu contato com o mundo, sempre muito relacionado aos detalhes que cercam os eventos de sua vida. Ainda, ele possui um apego gigante por algumas peças de roupas como bonés e sapatos, fazendo com que fiquem surrados pelo excesso do uso.

1) why do you like or dislike this character?

there's so many reasons why I like aki... when I first saw him in the manga I figured he'd be my fave because of his design lol. the hair up, the suit, the earrings... I'm like yes. this man is so my type. but I love his personality so much, how he cares for others so deeply. and his inevitable conclusion in the story is just so good even though it makes me hurt so much :,) he is such a beautifully written character and his good heart really speaks to me......

12) what's a headcanon you have for this character?

always headcanon aki to have scars. like on his arms from giving skin to the fox devil, and just everywhere on his body from fighting devils...

Oh yeah— Papa is a gay trans man and Gertrude is bigender <3 that’s how he doesn’t have a wife, she’s his husband. Jose is his ex, though they technically never broke up (split by death) So Gertrude sometimes jokes about it (“this is my husband Papa and Papa’s boyfriend, Jose.”). Papa and Sally Betty Jessica did date, but it was before either of them came out as trans or queer, which they both are, so when they Did finally both come out they had a big laugh about it. When asked about it Papa talks about how sometimes it’s easy to mistaken finding community for affection, Sally Betty says “everyone makes mistakes”. They’re still friends.
