All right, I know Scar basically tossed us a new piece of lore at the end of his Wild Life finale like a fisherman chumming the water hoping for sharks, but who would I be if I didn't take a bite?

Scar's Secret Life ending was different from all the other winners because he did not die at the end of the game. Death is the release, death is the way the game ends. He was clearly supposed to die to the zombie in the ravine after taking out Pearl. Neat, clean, one more winner to join the pantheon. But something happened. We don't know what it was because it was cut out of every perspective. Scar's POV takes a jump from "1.5 hearts from inevitable death to an uninjured zombie in armor and within melee range" to "zombie gone, Scar alive." Pearl's POV jumps at the exact same time, cutting from looking longingly at the Mounders' base with empty chat to a totally different angle with a chat thread fading on the screen.

Something intervened on Scar's behalf in Secret Life to make him miss his scheduled death. He could've died, he should've died, but he did not. And because he didn't die then, he couldn't die at all. And without dying, he couldn't leave his game. He is stuck there indefinitely, maybe forever, maybe until he wins another game and is able to die properly. He's got a lot of experience living on an empty world (thanks, The Crafting Dead!) and he's getting by, possibly with some visitors or hallucinations to keep him company. And despite his exile, he got paroled long enough to play Wild Life.

Scar had a ball in Wild Life! He got to play with his friends, he got to have an actual team and buddies, he even got to mend fences with Grian (mostly.) He also provided a huge amount of entertainment, killing and being killed with wild abandon. Every wild card he was right there in the mix, using it for chaos. But then Session Eight arrived, and it's like he realized it was all about to be over. All his friends would go away again, leaving him with nothing but sunflowers, shadows and regrets. The faster people died, the sooner it was all over.

And so he stopped playing. Scar _talked_ a big game through the session, explaining how he was going to use his deadly roller coaster to kill, but he managed to avoid doing so again and again. Several phases of testing, the wrong rail removed, a lever clicked at the wrong time, several faulty uses of the TNT minecart mechanics. With the exception of Skizz, who was already technically dead, nobody died on or to the roller coaster despite Scar spending his entire session on it and ignoring both the wild cards and all the opportunities he had to kill. He admitted aloud that he didn't want to kill Etho anymore, and he screwed up obviously enough that Grian said aloud that he didn't believe Scar thought his own trap could work. And that, it seems, was the bridge too far for the Watching audience, since it was only minutes later that EScarGo came along and sent him back to Secret Life.

But maybe it wasn't entirely in vain, because Scar provided a valuable lesson for future victors. Look at how Joel didn't waste any time on making sure he didn't get left behind in his game! He came up with a great pretext to kill himself and then when his trap didn't work, he just spammed ender pearls as fast as he could until he died. He wasn't about to make the same mistake and face the same fate as his predecessor. Too bad though, I hear the shadows are great friends.

So how awful is Friendless AU Faraway Town, and how exactly did it become such an awful place compared to canon?

(Longer answer/ramble below!) Long explanation short- Friendless au is a mirrored reality to the normal omori! Its the normal/usual for people in this au to be more self centered and defensive. Kindness is seen as a unnecessary act- or in some situations a weakness. (It being a weakness is proved multiple times because the characters who suffer more tend to be the ones too weak or intimidated or too "kind" to throw a punch back) People only stand up for themselves and mostly mind their business.

:0 Overall everything's a bit more dull and bad in this au- :0 I was inspired by a few songs and the church scene from in game where the people in church were saying cruel things about Aubrey. Its basically a au where "what if none of the main characters were friends with each other" but taken to a bit of a extreme! People in faraway don't hide their ugliness from one another through rumors- its outwardly toxic to everyone.

At best people tolerate one another- its kinda like a "every person for themselves" situation there. If someone is suffering or struggling others don't bat a eye or help out- if its not them or their problem they don't care.

:0 There are some nice characters in the story but they still wouldn't stand up for anyone/go out of their way to do something for someone else at their own expense (at least not until the end) And every main character + hooligan is redeemable- its just up to them to realize that they don't need to live like this. People in this au take out their frustrations and issues and make it other peoples problems. Most having the mindset that being nice/kind to others isn't worth it when no one will do the same for you.

It's time for some kitty-cat-related headcanons for Dark because I'm feeling extra mushy-gushy this evening 💟💟💟

Dark always loved cats. Their family didn't own cats growing up(I wanna say either someone in the family had an allergy or they were just too much of a responsibility, but I haven't decided yet), so it was always a luxury going to visit a friend with a pet cat or meeting a feral one on the street

They tried sneaking a feral cat into the house a couple times, but that was quickly scolded out of them

When they were reincarnated as Dark(or, as I like to call them, Baby!Dark), they were often wary about making contact with humans(see the schmalzy-ass link below, marked "1", for further elaboration); however, this hesitation was not as intense when they were around cats. It wasn't that they thought they were less dangerous around the cats, the fear was just overpowered by the sense of calm they brought them. Yes, of course that made them feel guilty about the hesitation they had around Wilford in comparison; they were an anxious wreck, what did you expect?

An emotional support cat was in fact suggested by MarkTV's HR, back when Dark was newly-employed. They turned it down, insisting they didn't need any accommodations.

Dark's pet cat Chernobog (Boggy, for short) was adopted in June 2020, after years of going back and forth with themself about getting a companion. They had initially envisioned their new pet cat to be a sphynx, but one look at her picture on the shelter's website (link below marked "2") was all the convincing Dark needed to adopt her.

Despite not being officially trained as such, Boggy is excellent with emotional support. Dark has been pulled out of many an anxious stupor by her rubbing her little face against them, or jumping into their lap and chittering at them.

She's a good girl, chat. She's a very sweet girl.

The first date that Dark invited Wilford to was to a cat café. It was one of the first times Wil got to see Dark really relax in public in this incarnation. It was a really nice time for them both :3

Yeah, cats just really like Dark for some reason -- and yet it's a pleasant surprise for them every time they meet a new one. They don't expect to attract friendliness, but that doesn't mean they don't welcome it 💟

Randomly decided to go back to read this old fic and I was surprised how excited it made me.

Basically a two chapter worth of how the first Arcobaleno mission could have happened.

Just for more context:

I've always believed that the scene in KHR of the flashback of the Il Priscelti Sette meeting was actually the last job's meeting, that is to become Arcobaleno unbeknownst to them, so there would be a dozen missions before that. I have many versions of how their acquaintanceship and relationships develops in my mind, but basically what all my headcanons all share is that there was the First Mission they were hired by Checkerface, making sure to establish an introduction with each other.

Then Checkerface sends out another mission, but this time only hiring three of the seven, and then the next two missions happens at the same time but he hires only two pairs for them, and then another mission with five of them, and then the next wave of missions are individual quests, so on so forth, where they basically get acquainted within that group of people that they actually trade and deal business with each for their personal gain (Verde is often contracted by COMSUBIN -and other less than legal orgs too but whatevs- but now Lal and Reborn could just contact him directly for their very own special customized new toys, Viper had a whole network of puppers and unknowing informants that they use as middlemen to secure deals and deliever information but now gets a new phone just for personal contacts they could expect to ring for them, Fon could be pestered for random manual labor like delievering something in exchange for a bit of gossip that he'd find useful or even something as mundane as a recipe or a location or a person to fight, etc.).

Colonnello later on being Lal's plus one when she needs a back up for an assignment from COMSUBIN that she needs to do in the same location as the mission from Checkerface.

I imagine Checkerface with seven cards in a deck, with handwritten notes of the skills and strengths of each Arco and playing them according to the mission at the time.

And then on the third time they're all gathered together, they go on a mission that curses them.

demon beast meta knight 👀

Hi yes!!! So sorry for the late response! Demon Beast Meta Knight has been on my frontal brain lobe for a while so seeing this ask made me jump at the opprotunity to draw him. So Allow me to explain!

This is Meta Knight's Demon Beast form, a strange bat/orb like creature. The original design is by @frostedgrapepepper! We just like to call him a Batto though I'll think of a more proper name for him later. Meta Knight's transformation into this creature is due to succumbing to the darkness within his heart and allowing it to completely corrupt him. However because he wasn't committed to losing himself, Meta Knight (or Morien as he is named in my AU) is now subjected to a werewolf like transformation where he is normal during the day but at night he turns back into this creature.

The form itself is very upsetting for him. He's not used to the animalistic nature that it entails, and is far more aggressive without meaning to be. Often times he usually wants to be left alone out of fear of his ugly new face, but his granddaughter Myra refuses to leave him be. She will comfort him as being a half-dragon monster herself naturally she knows the pain he's feeling. Morien won't say it but he really does appreciate her company.

He still however likes to don his mask as it makes him feela little more secure in that aspect though.

Since in this form Meta Knight is unable to use Galaxia (wing hands are quite combersome to use you know!) He has instead gained a form of Monster Flame/Dragon Fire, as his main mode of attack. This blue flame can burn almost anything it touches and even go though walls. There's also attacks with claw swipes and wing beats too. So he isn't left totally defenseless in this form

This art piece of him eating a piece of blood orange is also by @frostedgrapepepper! Meta Knight's diet has changed significantly now. Most normal Batamon love fruit and veggies, but Demon Beast Morien also has gained an insatiable taste for blood. Batamon naturally are vampiric but not at these levels. If Morien doesn't get enough blood then he will actually go feral and do anything he needs to do to get it, its a constant struggle to maintain his sanity in this form. Thankfully fruits also do a good job when blood isn't available. Blood Oranges also work exceptionally well because of their color and the flavor is nice.

Lastly on these quick facts, Meta Knight does sleep upside down like a Bat. Since his transformation take place at night, Morien has found himself more prone to sleep during the day. Though he still can be up, he's gotten more sensitive to bright light and won't go outside much anymore until he's cured completely. How is the question as the Demon Beast Reversal syreum doesn't seem to work on him. Further research probably needs to be done. Hopefully these answered your question! I love him so much as a concept and drawing him today was so much fun! Thank you to Frost for doing some art of him as well <3

I headcanon that if a Wubbox is stripped of all of the protective armor and mechanical parts, it would look like what vaguely resembles a nervous/cardiovascular system. In that state, the Wubbox is both very unstable and very vulnerable. Without any mechanical parts the Wubbox is unable to preform most of its usual actions, such as speaking or singing. Touching the veins will result in a painful electrical shock.

How old do you hc the hooligans as? I've seen a lot of people with many opinions but also people who see them all as 16 due to the main characters most likely being 16 too, but it doesn't make very much sense to me.

My thoughts:

Angel: 14

Kim: 15

The Maverick: 15/16

Aubrey: 16

Charlene: 17

Vance: 19/20

I like your head canons! :D I think they fit the characters very well! I've also seen a lot of different head canons for them but I think them being close in age but a variety makes the most sense to me too! ^^ I haven't really though about a solid answer, I kinda just have a age range in mind for most of them! :0 I normally go with the head canon that Angel's the youngest and Vance is the oldest my head canons are(from youngest to oldest): Angel: 15 Maverick: 15 or 16 Aubrey: 16 Kim: 16 Charlene/Charlie: either 16 or 17 Vance: 17 (more details below lol )

I've seen a lot of different head canons for their ages so its really interesting to talk about it- though for me personally I can't really see the hooligans having huge age gaps in their group but I understand why all of them being 16 doesn't feel right either. I like to think of them in the same grade as each other (with Vance (and maybe Charlie) being a grade above them) With Vance I think he has this line in game that helped me head canon his age/his sister's age. I interpreted it as him saying a lot of people probably assume he's a adult or at least a lot older than his sister from his looks but he actually is just a year older

I like the idea of Kim and Aubrey being in the same grade/classes so I often go for Kim being 16 and Vance being 17 :0 it also makes sense to me that Vance is the oldest in the group 17 would be a good age for him Angel being the youngest also makes a lot of sense to me- Though I like to think of it as similar to how Sunny is the youngest in his group- than him being super young or a kid still Personally I can't really see the hooligans wanting to hang out with a child/ someone much younger than them That and they could get in a HUGE amount of trouble if Angel got hurt- since they like roughhousing and fighting So I like to head canon him close around 15 years old Charlie/Charlene is kinda a wild card for me- I dont really know if I want them to be one of the oldest or youngest but I think them being the second oldest could fit their character. I can see Charlie being the type to look after the others For the other hooligans I don't really have strong opinions about their age/ whos older than who-- Although I put The maverick as younger than Aubrey because I think that him being younger than her and Kim would be funny But yeah! Thats my thoughts on the hooligans ages! :D

i think it’s important to note (in gen not just for will) and it’s fr my dream that people understand that will can be receiving and still be in control (and undo his partner pleasurably), i’d honestly argue that’s a more, better type of control and more healing for him in ways? or feels like natural progression when watching the show especially if it’s with mike at the start of their relationship (im speaking about works following canon here not au’s or other concepts haha).

and is not a jab at preferences ever i just get a feeling only s4 warped people’s perceptions (which i dont get because will is still gentler in s4. he just grew up yknow!) even in sfw content. i guess i just don’t see where people (not @ you <3) get the idea he needs to be aggresive to be in control when that isn’t who he is. aggressiveness is a trait they show us he conforms against and isnt the only way to approach control! but it’s like you said people have different things they like depending on daily moods, and growing up, that’s a real to life way to look at it! so duh he’d have friskier days, i understand that view of it

In my "real" headcanons for Will this is exactly what I'd like to see for him. Does that make sense? And I don't know if you misunderstood what I was trying to say, but I agree with you. I think that, and this is from talking to real survivors of SA, that this IS a perfect way to heal and build up his confidence in the fact that someone could give him pleasure and it not be something that's going to hurt him or take advantage of him. Receiving that kind of attention and have it be something completely positive---like think of the healing that could offer and that sort of joyous revelation? That's something that's so beautiful to me personally, and generally how I write Will in most of my stories.

However, I don't see anything less healing or beautiful about someone who's been beaten down taking initiative and feeling powerful in a real physical way. It truly is just how that particular person has responded to their regular life? Imo anyways.

Or....also....this can happen in a completely non-sexual way. Which I have written here. There are mulitple ways this could happen for a person like Will and I think they are all beautiful and worthy of exploration in fic.

Mike, in my opinion, in a canon sense.....is a giver. He seems to have an innate sense of caring for and wanting the people around him to be happy. if you delve past his sometimes prickly and sarcastic exterior, I think he's a person who deep down wants to be needed, wants to do a good job, and in turn would be a partner that would want to give whatever his partner desired. So whether it's them wanting him to take care of them sexually or for them to need other things that involve a different dynamic where he'd be on the receiving end--I think he'd be down for whatever honestly. Imo it makes him happy to please and he shows that with both El and Will in canon. So to me that's an easy one to say! 🙃 I think this generally resonates with readers going for the more dominant version of Mike in regards to Will, but I think there's a lot more to explore there if you sort of wanted to switch things up. I don't think either would really go against his character. And also, I guess----I think that top and bottom really gets misconstrued with dominant and submissive, and they frankly, are two separate things. You can be a top and have submissive tendencies, you can be a bottom and and choke your partner while you're doing it. I mean it's all complicated and so yeah I don't know---I just think that sometimes things get pigeonholed, especially with lgbtq characters. When really, there's just so much to unpack and it can all be good!

No not at all! I mean, people are valid in all of their headcanons of their favorite characters. I personally think for people to have their final opinions of Will will have to wait until season 5 is concluded. BUT yes, I mean---in my personal opinion--Will is a gentler, quieter, and according to an 80s pov is effete in his tendencies. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and I do tend to disagree with people who have it in their minds that cause he grew muscle mass and shoulders in season 4 that that has somehow changed his personality????

He is very strong in his own quiet way, but yes, he seeks out comfort, he needs that extra love and attention. And that's what Mike offers him. And in turn, his need for that and the way he responds to it is what Mike needs to feel wanted and loved. It's very symbiotic, which is what I noticed starting in season 2 between them, solidified in season 3, and was something that couldn't be ignored in season 4. It's why I started shipping them in the first place! But yeah, of course, as they would grow up and be involved in a relationship with each other the dynamics can ebb and flow and as they get more comfortable with each other and mature they might want to explore new things that would go against their "self-assigned" roles.

Anyways thanks so much! And yeah exploring Mike in a different light and Will in a different light is really just a fun exercise in diving deeper into their psyche, and for me is rewarding as a writer! Of course I have my own personal ideas of canon!Will and canon!Mike but I think the fanfiction versions of these two can be whatever dynamic said writer finds interesting! And it doesn't mean one is less correct than the other.

So here I am word-vomiting right back to you. I hope this makes sense!
